your comic just color of the sky'd me 😭😭 I kept scrolling and that shid didn't END. it was like I was falling down beside a 100ft building and each window had a dog in it.
This just gave me and my betrothed a very hearty morning laugh. I genuinely hope the experience wasn't too distressing but I have joked that I'm gonna get Tumblr famous for "Do you love the color of the comics". My only defense is that I tagged it long post and if people have the "shorten post" setting they don't have to suffer.
But if that brings you no solace you can at least rest assured that no one will ever have to scroll through my comics as many times as me.

PROFESSOR LAYTON BUT CARTOON I SUPPOSE?????
I have not practiced my Hanna Barbera-esque art style in like a few weeks so I am crusty af but I still did try making smth similar so here are these bc one of the projects I do wanna work on eventually is making a bunch of fake screenshots of a Professor Layton Saturday Morning cartoon lol.
Idk what I was going for with the Descole one but hey, I think it's funny I based the background a bit on FNAF 3 lol
This one is a crossover with the InvestiGators series! [please read the books, they are amazing and I think the characters from there would get along so well with Layton, Luke and Flora!!!] Fun scenario with Mango taking Luke on a little stroll around the city.
Kind of, Idk, Unwound Future/Lost Future spoilers below, I'm not sure!!!
The obligatory furry stuff because drawing them is so fun!!! Here's the scenario where Luke kind of goes like 🤨🤨🤨 and is like "Maybe this isn't really me from the future..." I think he's a very confrontational guy at times so lol.
This one has another version below!
THERES NO CONTEXT, I JUST WANTED TO MAKE A RANDOM THING LOL
here's a sketch, I might try to properly line and color it, maybe.

as much as part of me doesn't want to associate my tumblr TOO heavily with my twitch streaming, part of me is entertaining the idea of having a cohesive theme across my platforms and if I was gonna change the current icon/appearance/theme it would just be for all that...
and also in the honor of that anon who said, after sending me a big hunk of anon hate, added "oh wait you're a furry ofc you don't read the news" like maybe I can prevent stupid discourse but simply being way more upfront about the furry vtuber thing lmao
idk @ long time followers and mutuals would you be too heartbroken if I did a mild re-brand? or anyone who has feedback really, I have kinda built my twitch following more or less separate from my tumblr one which is nice, but it does mean I think people here follow me expecting different content than the twitch people(more or less, there is overlap ofc and I am eternally grateful for my tumblr peeps who check out my streams and vice-versa <3) so that's worth considering as well...still the content of my blog wouldn't change AT ALL and I'd still be lastoneout ofc you can pry that username from my cold dead hands, but just my icon and blog theme and stuff?
Yeah, def would appreciate feedback lol

dead boys post again sorry
thinking about the bi options here, ive decided:
(basic) edwin's confession helps charles realize he's bi and in love with him, they kiss on-screen (cute but i realized its amatonormative and pretty cookie cutter)
(worse) charles actually isn't bi and they have separate romantic melodramas (maintains the friendship > romance anti-amatonormative angle but at the cost of charles being bi, which won't do)(also this is a cw style melodrama so theres still amatonormative stuff happening regardless)
(the actual best option) edwin's confession helps charles realize he's bi but he's still not in love with edwin (literally no downside here)(recovering pining coupled with unrequited guilt its delicious to me)(get to do an entire arc where charles gets a crush on some other boy and has to keep it secret because he doesnt want to disappoint his best friend)(edwin eventually finds out and is so sad his best friend didn't let them celebrate his queer awakening together)

I spent the last 11 months working with my illustrator, Marta, to make the children's book of my dreams. We were able to get every detail just the way I wanted, and I'm very happy with the final result. She is the best person I have ever worked with, and I mean, just look at those colors!
I wanted to tell that story of anyone's who ever felt that they didn't belong anywhere. Whether you are a nerd, autistic, queer, trans, a furry, or some combination of the above, it makes for a sad and difficult life. This isn't just my story. This is our story.
I also want to say the month following the book's launch has been very stressful. I have never done this kind of book before, and I didn't know how to get the word out about it. I do have a small publishing business and a full-time job, so I figured let's put my some money into advertising this time. Indie writers will tell you great success stories they've had using Facebook ads, so I started a page and boosting my posts.
Within a first few days, I got a lot of likes and shares and even a few people who requested the book and left great reviews for me. There were also people memeing on how the boy turns into a delicious venison steak at the end of the book. It was all in good fun, though. It honestly made made laugh. Things were great, so I made more posts and increased spending.
But somehow, someway these new posts ended up on the wrong side of the platform. Soon, we saw claims of how the book was perpetuating mental illness, of how this book goes against all of basic biology and logic, and how the lgbtq agenda was corrupting our kids.
This brought out even more people to support the book, so I just let them at it and enjoyed my time reading comments after work. A few days later, then conversation moved from politics to encouraging bullying, accusing others of abusing children, and a competition to who could post the most cruel image. They were just comments, however, and after all, people were still supporting the book.
But then the trolls started organizing. Over night, I got hit with 3 one-star reviews on Amazon. My heart stopped. If your book ever falls below a certain rating, it can be removed, and blocked, and you can receive a strike on your publishing account. All that hard work was about to be deleted, and it was all my fault for posting it in the wrong place.
I panicked, pulled all my posts, and went into hiding, hoping things would die down. I reported the reviews and so did many others, but here's the thing you might have noticed across platforms like Google and Amazon. There are community guidelines that I referenced in my email, but unless people are doing something highly illegal, things are rarely ever taken down on these massive platforms. So those reviews are still there to this day. Once again, it's my fault, and I should have seen it coming.
Luckily, the harassment stopped, and the book is doing better now, at least in the US. The overall rating is still rickety in Europe, Canada, and Australia, so any reviews there help me out quite a lot.
I'm currently looking for a new home to post about the book and talk about everything that went into it. I also love to talk about all things books if you ever want to chat. Maybe I'll post a selfie one day, too. Otherwise, the book is still on Amazon, and the full story and illustrations are on YouTube as well if you want to read it for free.
