A twofer showcasing the wonderful dry humor of Miss Goldenweek. Battle is raging around her and she’s over here planning her next nap. She is truly a sleepy girlie, a symbol of our times. I also like casually confirming the candle statues have a little time left. Did she get a little Betrayal Black smeared on her? Or does Marianne truly serve no master but herself? Maybe, just maybe Crocodile was a little scared of her titanic willpower.

The fact Mr. 3 is just so used to this makes it so much better. He clearly still likes her and respects her talent with paint. She’s actually pretty scary when you see how much she can do with it. Just hampered by laziness and lack of any grander ambitions. I really do wonder how she came to be a part of Baroque Works. How silly & eclectic the group is says something about Crocodile. I could totally see it being a situation like Monet & Sugar where Marianne ended up being rescued from a bad situation or her being some random orphan who ended up clicking with the group. Hell, paint’s expensive so maybe she’s pulling a Vegapunk and siding with anyone who can fund her work. Goldenweek & Galdino are such a natural pair that part makes sense, though I do like to imagine Crocodile mostly contacting her because 3 is just too much to deal with sometimes.

Thinking of headcanons for how the Akazaya are while drunk was fun, I'm going to do more groups for a bit.

The New Spider's Cafe workers/former Baroque Works agents:

Zala (Miss Doublefinger) - She goes into high functioning, do everything everywhere all at once, mode.

Marianne (Miss Goldenweek) - 18 years old so I'm skipping her. I imagine that she would have no interest in alcohol anyway. She has her tea.

Babe (Mr. 4) - Asleep in 0 seconds or can’t sleep and will talk about baseball for hours. He probably has a collection of cards somewhere he’d get out and talk about.

Drophy (Miss Merry Christmas) - Exactly the same as when sober.

Gem (Mr. 5) - Weepy drunk.

Mikita (Miss Valentine) - She becomes very talkative. In spite of her not caring much for the taste, she's surprisingly picky when it comes to alcohol.
