yes, the plans that i could not share with you (because the haters would sabotage me) were that i was taking on LACC in my vash getup :)

i have so few pictures of myself but i got so many compliments (especially on my arm) and plenty of other people took pictures of me. and normally i don't like attention but i will be honest with u. under these circumstances i loved it. my arm held up really well through 8 hours on the convention floor and i have never been prouder of anything i've made. it's articulated incredibly well, no part of it gave out or required repair, it's never uncomfortable or a nuisance to wear, and i have enough range of motion to do relatively complex things like tying my shoes.

originally i was not planning to try to meet anyone famous because 1) it's expensive and 2) the lines are long and 3) i feel weird and annoying approaching literally anyone for any reason BUT. the spot where i met up with my sister just happened to be right next to johnny yong bosch's table. right when he started signing things. so i said LOL ok i'll do it.

it was super chill, i asked him how it felt to get the call that they wanted him to come back 20 years later for a trigun reboot and he said it almost didn't happen -- that since they recast everyone else for stampede they considered recasting vash as well (and i said WOW i'm so glad they didn't) and he said he really enjoyed getting to come back and explore a darker take (i forget if what he said was a darker take on vash's character, or just a darker trigun in general) but it was briefly surprising 2 me that he considered stampede to be a darker version but i get it, especially when u consider that there is not a lot of comedy in those 12 episodes to balance out the grief.

ANYWAY he was impressed with my arm and i asked him if he would sign my coat :) so he signed the lining but he was also like u know what, i'm gonna give you a second autograph just because. so he signed a print for me as well (free of charge!!) and the print with the blue signature matches my famous paintings that i always film in front of (that's providence baybee)

i saw 3 other vash cosplayers (a 98 vash, a stampede vash, and a purple coat vash) and no shade but i definitely had the best arm build. peace and love to all of them though

i saw 1 1/2 wolfwoods. 1 was the aforementioned mullet wolfwood from yesterday's post (ww if you’re out there ww) and the 1/2 was the 98 vash cosplayer’s gf in some kind of goth-ish dress and she was carrying a punisher

mullet wolfwood if you're out there i regret not getting a picture with you so much. i am deeply ashamed and i have no excuse because i ran into you twice and both times i was too embarrassed to ask for a picture. i just want you to know that your punisher was swag and your earrings were yolo and we would look very good together

i expected to see a lot more trigun tbh. los angeles where u at. 4 vashies at a convention of 120,000+ people is nothing. one guy even walked up to me like wow i love ur vash, i haven't seen a lot of trigun at this con and i was like I KNOW i thought i'd see a lot more

theeeee costume of all time award goes to the cad bane cosplayer i saw on the balcony. spare hand in marriage dude (gn) you looked so good

second place for costume of all time goes to the other mother cosplayer who had button eyes and these crazy finger appendages and never once broke character even while waiting in lines

i took 100 points of psychic damage from this one guy who (and im not kidding) was at least 6’4’’ and wearing platform boots and was dressed as the mfing onceler. with the stupid top hat he was fr 7+ feet tall (i saw him duck to get through a doorway).

someone was there as the brawny paper towel guy?? just walking around in a beard and flannel carrying a pack of paper towel rolls?? go off king

i saw 5 nightwing cosplayers but only 2 were biblically accurate (had ass)

the nanami sweep at this convention was so real u all SHOWED UP. and everybody ate. i saw at least 12 nanamis and not one of them was a flop.

i have never seen so many spider-mans in my life

fig. 3: i saw all 4 hobbits in panel and can confirm elijah wood’s laugh is ten times more infectious in real life. before they were even done sitting down, dominic monaghan switched around all of their name cards so that none of them were seated behind the right name. as u might imagine much of the panel's content was reminiscing about LOTR, but i heard some stories that i hadn't heard before. they also talked about video games, other projects they are working/have worked on, how their kids feel about their dads' LOTR roles, how much they love ian mckellen, and how they would love to see something happen for the 20th anniversary of ROTK this year. sean astin (the legend) took shots at the stranger things writers (basically said joyce could never be happy with hopper) AND EVERYONE CLAPPED LOL. billy and dom talked about the best food in NZ, their show billy and dom eat the world, and the unfortunate events that led to the friendship onion's hiatus. it was a ton of fun to just watch them be themselves with each other, you can tell that these guys are all so fond of each other and love each other so much.

What do you think about terukane?

Nothing as a romantic or sexual relationship ... it's funny neither Aoi nor Akane like him. He is so swag to everyone but them, the people he is most attached to or interested in, and that is incredibly funny to write in for your central hot stuff generic blond-haired-blue-eyed-tall bishie. Like, he's a total flop, actually. Dripping with rizz to the student populace. And for what? This is possibly the single funniest thing about Teru and elevates him as a character to me. If you give him what he wants he becomes simple, what, a straightforward blond-blue-eyed hot bishie with a hot gf and hot bf? That's incredibly boring!!! Teru should stay bottom rung.

I like what Akane is to Teru, in a non-shipping sense I find their dynamic endearing-- which is that Akane is... GENUINELY so pure of heart, patient, and kind, that EVEN THOUGH Teru is such a abysmal and socially messed up person (due to his upbringing, out of his control!), he extends a lot of grace towards him and can't actually meaningfully shut him out or leave him hanging (eeeven though Teru attacks him, terrorizes him, pushes his buttons!!! BY ALL MEANS DESERVES TO BE CUT OUT--!). Akane, OF ALL PEOPLE, probably knows Teru the best, and gets to see the most sides of him, including the worst... which is, why and how he knows Teru is Not A Good Person, But Also, Pitiable And Unfortunate, and kind of doing his 'best' with how broken he is. Teru's a loser-- really! He has no friends!! He does everything for his family, and he's constantly lying to them (because they might not 'like' the 'real Teru'). He's a brocon whos brother isn't even that attached to him, who is outgrowing him!! It's sad LOL. Akane as a friend and comrade is like his consolation prize....

But I do think the Point of them is that both of them actually have different 'loyalties' you could say-- Akane would Throw Teru Down A Pit for Aoi, and, Teru would Throw Akane Down a Pit for his family--! They both KNOW they aren't each other's main priority! They're just 'assets'. HOWEVER, doing so would hurt Teru incredibly badly, which makes it interesting. I'd like to see Teru's attachment to Akane challenged, I'd like to see him have to make a decision which is bad for Akane but good for someone Teru loves... I would like to see his raw allegiances tested. I don't think Teru really consciously 'thinks' about how precious Akane is to him, or how that is his most intimate social bond? I think Teru would be a mess without Akane, I think he would feel the space he left behind forever, if Teru let something happen to him. I'm not sure when another person will ever know Teru's many sides so well. Teru could probably just, suck it up and accept he's not the kind of person who has things like that, and it was a fluke incidence of having it anyway...

My only 'real' Teru ship is Teru x Tiara HAHAHA, he certainly SIMPs for her desperately, and she's a very capable, brash girl... while Kou is useless, Tiara is not, I think she could totally wrestle all of the truths out of Teru one day, and could actually see his pathetic sides. She's stubborn and confident enough to slap him around too, he needs that HAHAHA. She feels kind of perfectly designed for him...

In a way ig Terukane feels like your typical "contentious yaoi with undercurrent of appreciation, we compete for the same girl, imagine if we could both fuck her, and maybe we have some weird tension lol" situation. I do think AidaIro enjoy it for what it is at many angles, and they like to play with it by making Akane Teru's servant and stuff in AU...I categorize it as " fujo bait" (for me that isn't derogatory). I genuinely think its only purpose is a kind of cheeky gag porno at best fkgl;jgklfgkhfk; I cannot take it seriously. I feel the worst for Aoi in the situation though, I really don't think she's attracted to Teru at ALL, but Teru is coercion aligned so... maybe sensei thinks about things I don't want to, lol.

Oh I guess as always I disapprove of when girls in dynamics are disregarded or written out in ships due to inconvenience, so any Terukane dynamic that just pretends Aoi isn't there or that Akane doesn't love her sucks ass. Akane and Aoi mean a lot to sensei, clearly-- !! They LOVE them, they pre-date the rest of the manga's debut!!! Aoi expresses some very poignant things in her story that feel very personal. The least anyone can do is involve her in the threesome--! she is essential!

Well he is simply my lesbian best friend Green of course :)

lol but basically I'm not actually that attached to any of the player characters as characters in their own right, especially as I've only played Prom, and I actually really like we don’t have much to go on about the PCs beyond a few voice lines and the polaroids. I think it's fun it gives you space to imagine them how you like and I find the way the fandom as a whole seems to have quite set ideas about them all a bit baffling (have to assume it'll make more sense once I've played the rest). I mean in my household we don't even call them by Oz/Amira/etc. we've always used the colour names so I just think we're a bit out of step with most fans in general lol.

THAT SAID, Green is my favourite of the PCs for real :) I immediately picked him the first time I played and I nearly always do still unless I'm playing solo and need to collect a Yellow polaroid (bc my gf plays as Yellow but when they are not here they let me be them to get the pictures). I just really like the design and also Prozd is very iconic so I like all the voice lines. I sometimes see like 'transfem!Brian' redesigns and like you do you but Green already looks like a perfect woman to me lol so I usually play as he/him butch in my head. I love the credits pics of Green also (and it rules he stands next to the wolfpack in the class photo bc i can be like wow im next to my best friends the woflpack for real lol)

On my first game I got Liam and the ending polaroid is still one of my favourites it's just so cute so I guess maybe Liam would be my favourite ship for him or the Wolfpack hehe who said that but I haven't thought that much about it. But I also like Scott bc their football polaroid aaaa so cute also. With the girls idk who my top ship would be maybe Miranda that could be butch/femme swag of them. But yeah I find it harder to ship PCs without knowing their personalities much (or more like their personalities are kind of the same bc we all have the same narrator and events and outcomes etc.) so my feelings aren't that strong on any of them.

Hey I got kinda emotional and into it here so. Skip this one if you dont care but if you're my friend idk read it see if it resonates or smth

I think ill never get over the feeling that im inept or a loser because its not the fact that I'm. You know. That. Its because before even making the comparison between this person's absolute best life and my sick week I already think that. Its bad to the point that whenever I see someone share good news abt. Anything. I get jealous

And like im rlly not trying to brag but I have a decent life by my standards. I have partners that love me but don't require my affection constantly, so when I kinda shut down for 9 hours as I often do no one freaks out. I have sex quite often! (Not right now because im sick and slowly losing my mind) (and yeah this is childish but im very hypersexual and if I did not have this it would be bad for the mind) like there are people who consider me a sexy being and want to have sex with me and then we do.that. often in trios which is such a thing that my 16-year old me would have said NICE!!! To me and now its kinda of the norm for me. When its not just me n my gf having like casual fun sex its a threesome. And that fucking rules!!! I have money now!!! Saved!!!! Im moving out in like four months!!!! I already bought like paintings and tables and shit. Im finishing uni and can go pursue my dreams of becoming a film professor!!!! My art constantly gets praise!!!! And yeah, we kinda got fucked festival season because we botched some documentation but I made people cry!!! With my writing and camera work!!!! And I did that with my friends, too!! No sellout shit, no contracting a pro to get good shots, no youtube tutorial bullshit, i got three people that really liked each other and we made a fucking movie!!! And people cried watching it!!!! Like I got a legacy now. Even if its a small, insignificant one, its a fucking legacy!!! Its there!!! I can like crochet now!!! And im good at it!!!! Better than my fucking aunt who mocked the stuff I made back then!!!! And I make money selling it?? Online??? To friends??? Thats fucking cool as hell!!! Im feeling pretty? Like actually pretty? Not in a fabricated, made up, photoshopped version of me but like. I look in the mirror and I see a girl. Shes kinda messy and probably needs to brush her teeth more but its a girl. I pass all the time??? Old people call me little missy and shit. And yet I have not lost the transfem swag.

Sure, maybe some shit is bad. Sometimes you feel like drowning. Still not quite over that one breakup. Sometimes there's nothing to do. Sometimes your friends are having way more fun than you and you have no excuse to not be having fun. Sometimes uni is suffocating. Sometimes you love people so intensely that you start hating them when they dont like you as intensely as you do them. Sometimes you still put other's happiness over your comfort or safety. Sometimes you still romanticize things to make it seems like you're a less boring person than you think you are. Sometimes you need more affection than you're getting from your partners and you simply stay quiet, because you fear you're becoming like your abusers. You still havent gotten over the "I was heavily emotionally abused for the better part of a month" and recovery should have ended by now. They moved on. Why haven't you? Why do you still think of them? Why everytime someone thinks the kind of sex you have is weird you remember them telling you that and then doing it anyway? You're still the black sheep of the family. No matter how many intense life-ending fuckups your cousins fuck up, you'll still be the worst one. Because you were supposed to be perfect, to study overseas, to be the golden child. And you failed. Sometimes you wonder if you're wasting your life trying to be happy. Sometimes you wonder if you even can be. Sometimes you cry because you're sure you cant

And we just.... gotta keep on living. Trying, succeeding and failing to be happy. To have my needs met. Isnt that what its all about?

on one hand he just seems rlly awkward and bad at ppl when they're not alr his friends and that's true but also his entire sense of self-worth is sorta kinda based on if he can keep his friends safe which he's good at when it's Joe Averageson's evil twin attacking them but when it's the TIME POLICE, which HATE these guys bc they're time travelers, he's obviously not rlly able to pull through

but he's kept them ALIVE so he's not lying on the ground and letting the earth reclaim his tired bones just yet and he's gonna keep fussing over them (out loud or not)

also he's dead like super dead really dead obnoxiously dead but I'll get to that in a second ok

he loooves swords so much you could keep him distracted for hours just by asking him about swords

he loves them to the point that he used to be a swordsmith!! he was technically a weaponsmith but you'd have to pay extra for him to SPECIALLY CRAFT you a weapon that wasn't a sword

he was doing SUPER SWAG at his job and making swords with the weird time travel watch his dad (he has happy, loving, living parents I'm not a MONSTER) UNTIL... spooky monster???? he died like a lot... and he'll very rarely drop the fact that he remembers each one vividly..

at some point he was like "OK heck this I'm not gonna loop it unless everyone dies" And only the monster died but he lost an eye owie..

he left not long after that and was like "man this is a long dream" until he bumped into a griffin guy who's also a time traveler named Ollie and they became friends :)

they also picked up a guy named Graham and then- oh dang ace lost an arm too but when he woke up... mysterious prosthetic???

insert time skip here

oh no gray's evil (or is he?) and while ace and ollie r trying to skedaddle ace sniffs a flower (totally harmless.)

ace and ollie get a- god DANG it gray leave them alone and oh no he's actually possessed he's not evil

and eventually he sacrifices himself but good thing when this jerk Roy messed up aces wrist and broke his watch and swords ace and ollie met The Doctor (aka the only medical doctor in the whole island their name is colorpop) so they take the half dead gray to colorpop and yayyyy he'll live all is well

Lollll wrong

the guy who was possessing gray tries to come back to either possess ollie or ace this time and ollie sacrifices himself, losing his memory and teleporting him and the evil guy (named xenos) to a random spot on the island

Ace is like, "wuh... I gotta go find ollie I can't take gray with me he's still half dead" and goes to tell gray what happened and gives him his broken swords and leaves

hey remember that flower I mentioned it wasn't harmless I was a liar and ace is dying.. ehe

he finds ollie and is like "Hey find gray I literally just felt my heart stop give him my hat he'll know I dead then I was ur friend btw" and DIES....

ensue ollie having no idea what's going on and STILL getting trauma while ace meets his biggest fan, a small child, in the void

Ace is like "oh dang I'd be terrible company for eternity" and rips out of the void for the small child and finds his friends again yaaay

they get attack by time popo right after ace hits ollie with da Recap Episode

and so they go 2 colorpop's again and pick up ace's cousin and her gf so ace can teach her to Sword.

and that's where the storyline ends 4 now
