redesigned some boruto timeskip designs that I thought were wack

small design notes: I am very tired of Ikemoto's trend of making Sarada look like she should be at the club so I tried to keep the "vibe" of the original timeskip design to show that she doesn't need to look like she makes bank from satisfying old men. She's a strategist! a punchy punchy type girl! give this bitch some gloves and if you want to give her heels so bad you don't need to make them look so slutty!1

I hate Daemon I hate his stupid plot device sister I just wanted to make him actually look like he aged (like idk cyborgs stop aging when they reach around the physical age of 25 cuz that's when our brain cells stop developing) and look less like he says gyatt non ironically. this mf eats sand in the playground because he thinks its funny. I want to punt his ass

Himawari's timeskip deisgn gives me very much y2k fashion ressurgence in the 20's. Like yes I love the crop top and the baggy pants. Do I think it matches Himawari at all? No. I gave her a bolt necklace (she probably made it herself or maybe she found it after Boruto ran away?) cuz she's grieving!! she just lost both her parents and her "older brother" isn't as warm as she remembered! she doesn't have time to look sexy she strikes me as a comfy type girl so that's what I did. Also I hate how her hair looks like in canon like why that shi looking like an axe head Sumire is a SCIENTIST! PUT THIS BITCH IN A LAB COAT!! GET THAT SCHOOL GIRL SHIT OUTTA HERE!! since part one she's been giving student in a porno about to offer her teacher head to be able to pass the semester and I am NOT reading the Naruto verse to see shit like this

Revisiting Naruto is a weird experience. On one hand a lot of fun and I still love this show, but on the other so painful. So many questionable writing choices. And it just feels like a deeply insecure show. Like if a girl is strong it feels emasculated lol

I love you, Sakura, you deserved to be in a better show that doesn’t treat you like a laughing stock.

Missing Nin AU: Designs! (Main Three)

(Best boyfriend in the world did the lineart and coloring of my sketches! Massive thanks to him!!)

I'm so excited to finally show you all the AU I've been working on for the better part of the past two years!

Basically, in this timeline (divergence), Rin survives the chidori to the heart thanks to the chakra of her tailed beast (Isobu) and his ability to heal her from the otherwise fatal wound. (I know this has been done a million times before, but hear me out-)

Obito also stays around long enough to see Kakashi wake, and as Obito berates Kakashi for "killing" Rin, they both pick up on her heartbeat and race to save her, setting their issues aside in the pursuit of potentially saving her.

With this, they find the nearest village (other than Konoha) and force their way in, seeking help. When they're denied, Obito threatens everyone's lives in order to get Rin treatment. And unsurprisingly, it works.

Rin recovers slowly, but once she's okay enough, they all skip town and remain in the forest to get their bearings and avoid being forcefully brought back to Konoha. The three are all flagged as Missing Konoha Nin. (Although Obito is technically left as unidentified since he was pronounced dead years back-)

And through the years, they become notorious wanted criminals in the bingo book. Rin is forced to stay under Obito's protection as going to Konoha would cause her to not only die (As far as she knows) but to destroy her home as well. Kakashi stays as he feels indebted to Obito as much as he may disagree with his perspective at times. And Obito leads them all, instilled with Madara's ideology and the want for a better world. But this time, he's doing it entirely his way.

They also pick up some other nin in need along the way, but they come later, so I'm gonna hold off on information for a bit when it comes to them.

As for Minato and Kushina, they eventually figure out who each of them are and are absolutely devastated that all three of them would turn against their own village. They pursue them when they can and as often as they can, but they can never truly catch up.

TLDR: Rin barely lives through getting a Chidori through the heart, so Kakashi and Obito band together to save her. They do and then run off into the woods to work things out. The three of them become missing nin before eventually ending up in the bingo book.

The CRIMINALLY underrated Inooo

She was actually quite difficult to design for, mainly because so many things I tried didn’t FEEL like Ino. And there’s this fine line between looking like Ino, and looking like Lola Bunny.

I think the rule of thumb is: Exposed stomach and purple

I’m not really rewriting Naruto or anything, just coming up with new backstories and storylines for the girls. Say what you like about Naruto, good and bad, but I think we can all agree the girls were done dirty. The series was fundamentally uninterested in them as people, just as endlessly loyal and supportive love interests. They deserve better than that.
