Why is anbu Sakura's hair black? Is it dyed for better disguising herself with the environment, or does she have a different family in that au?

So in the ANBU!au, ANBU masks all come with a specific array of seals that can be customized at user request. In Sakura's case, its impossible to maintain anonymity with pink hair, so a Henge Seal helps deal with that.

Not all ANBU masks have a Henge- because not everyone has extremely unique features that need to be hidden.

Her ANBU mask seals also feature:

Chakra Key and Disguise : This keys the mask to her specific chakra signature (so it can't be stolen) and helps disguise it. Mandatory to all ANBU.

Poison Filters/Detection Seals: These seals help recognize and filter common airborne poisons. They don't help against ingestion or infection, and don't detect more exotic toxins. Mandatory to all ANBU.

Meshed Eyes/Enhanced Vision Seals: Helps the wearer see more clearly at night, though the mesh is optional- as some users might need clear vision to use dojutsu.

Scent Blocking Seals: These help nullify specific scent markers, as agents are often sweating due to physical exertion. The seal isn't mandatory, but scent blocks of some sort are. It's also highly encouraged to use neutral bodywash and shampoo before missions.

Vocal Distortion Seals: These seals help modulate the user's voice without putting a strain on their vocal cords, as the distortion is handled by the mask. Not mandatory, but Sakura really doesn't want to be recognized.

All seals need to be occasionally recharged/rewritten at ANBU HQ- as they will eventually wear off.

Additionally, these seals are usually invisible to the naked eye, though a skilled fuinjutsu specialist can usually make them visible. The masks are also very damage-resistant and can handle quite a bit of abuse before they start chipping. Since the seals are separate, it's possible to lose only a portion of the mask's seals and keep the others active as long as most of the seal is there.

Tobirama had only noticed it just because his Nara friend had pointed it out.

" Uchiha-sama has an unhealthy fascination with your wrists and neck " he really didn't believe the man.

At first.

He thought the man was joking. So he put that strange remark in the back of his mind for the time being.

Until a week later — he accidentally saw through a reflection that Madara -san indeed stares intensely at his aforementioned body parts.

Tobirama came with the realization that he can't confront the man with hostilty. The peace was still fragile ( even if Konoha was built two years ago ) he didn't want to be the reason why another war broke out just because he blabbbered to Anija that Madara-san is giving him threathening looks whenever his back was turn away from the man.

And so Tobirama thought up an ingenious solution. He started to cover himself up. As a Suiton user he is always naturally cold. It is no problem if he wears more clothing. He started wearing arms bands and ( Okaasan's ) blue scarf even if its in the middle of the summer. Its not a problem for him to cover up and he'll never have to worry if he'll overheat himself. He is not a Civilian who would faint or die from heat exhaustion. There are techinques he himself invented if he wanted to cool down himself...

But then he noted that Madara-san had started to look frustrated when he shows up at work wearing his scarf and arm bands. He doesn't know how to address the man's issues so he opted to pretend he's oblivious about it.

Until one day, Izuna decided to have a talk with him.

" Okay, Tobira. Spill it to me. Why suddenly wear a scarf and arm bands. "

Tobirama clamp his mouth shut. He nearly told Izuna what the problem really is. And he refuses to be the one to tell him the ugly truth.

That Madara-san still hasn't forgiven him and he's probably contemplating how to kill him and where to bury his body without Anija knowing.

When he refuses to answer - Izuna suddenly grinning gleefully at him made him extremely wary.

" Is this because you finally found out Aniki is ogling your neck and wrists?. "

In an uncharacteristic behavior, Tobirama hack the mochi that got stuck in his throat.

" You did, did you?! " Izuna crowed smugly. " I thought you'd never noticed his admiration. What finally clued you in, huh?. Did you -- " and here Izuna leaned close to Tobirama and whispered in his ear. " Did you see Aniki's hard on for you? Is that it?. "

Tobirama spluttered more and he felt the mochi finally dislodged from his throat. He nearly spit the food on Izuna's face because the man is looking at him eye to eye. Luckily he managed to spat it out of the window instead of his friend's grinning face.

" Don't worry about Aniki, Tobira. He won't put his hands on you. Unless you show you'll be returning his interest. He just really really admire your delicate, graceful, smooth, perfect neck and wrists. " Izuna shrugged. " Forgive my Aniki if he sounds like a pervert. "

Tobirama down the hot tea in front of him in one go. All of a sudden his throat had felt parched.... He noted Izuna had cringed at his quick gesture.

Slamming the tea cup down on his desk. Tobirama gaped in shock at Izuna. " That's…I don't even know what to say, Izu. " He slowly covered his face with his hands as he felt embarrassement at his misunderstanding.

Izuna cackled and patted Tobirama on his back. " What?. You think Aniki was threathening you or something? "

When Tobirama answered with mortified groaning. Izuna howled with laughter. " For such a genius. You're a dumbass when it comes to romantic gestures, Tobira! My poor Aniki. So that's why he looked so confused and upset whenever he came from meeting with you!. "

I think if the internet and phones existed in naruto, the akatsuki would be hella popular on twitter. like yeah people try to cancel them and get them banned but it never works because watching these mess of a human beings (and others) interact with each other is just too damn funny. 

They only follow each other members despite having 40 mil followers each, save for Hidan who follows 2 other accounts who spout the same Jashinist rhetoric 

Every time Itachi does a post, Deidara is underneath it hate commenting, which leads to an obviously one-sided fight that gets 100k likes

Actually most of Deidara’s rants on the other members are viral hits, especially since someone pointed out his bingo book says he’s 19 and is being a literal petulant teenager about everything

Hidan is the most popular due to him just posting whatever thoughts fly through his head, unfiltered. Unfortunately, he is canceled at least once a week because of this but it doesn’t work

Actually most Akatsuki members get cancelled but yet it just won’t stick

Itachi’s posts, while sparse, always have Sasuke hate commenting under them. All he ever responds with is “foolish little brother”

They also usually feature his birds bringing him weird things or some dango he got.

Kisame exclusively does shark facts or these really beautiful breathtaking pictures of the places he and Itachi travels, with captions like “off to poison some fisherman’s wife lol WATCH YO BACKS” Somehow this never makes it to the target in time.

Kakuzu doesn’t post anything. Ever. Yet him going on to other members posts and telling them to stop wasting money like that is unbelievable popular. Hidan always responds with the flipping off emoji

When Deidara isn’t ranting about the other members, he’s posting explosions and ranting about art. This has led to him and Sasori arguing on Twitter and people cheering them on.

Sasori only posts pictures of his puppets or short POV videos of him working on them. Many people comment “hey isnt that x?/haven’t they been missing since xxxx?” to which Sasori only responds with a :)

Sasori’s profile pic was blank until he posted a pic of him with Sandaime Kazekage and the caption “new profile pic :)” and just watched the storm in the comments.

It didn’t get topped until Deidara posted a pic of him and Sasori with Gaara’s body captioned “got another one of your kazekages BITCHES lmaooooo”. 

Konan’s twitter is the most normal one of them all, usually just picture’s of Amegakura or origami. However, many of them also feature the chaos the other members are causing in the background or their confused faces as she hands them origami things

The pinned comment is a series of her handing them increasingly intricate and large origami and the increased confusion/distress on their faces

Pein only posts his monologue about the world needing to know pain and it’s clowned on by everyone, including the akatsuki members

Hidan’s most popular post is a series of photos of their afterparty of getting a jinchuriki, most notably featuring Deidara vomiting with Sasori holding back his hair, Pein passed out cuddling a bowl of chips, and Kisame absolutely lost in the sauce (aka a puddle outside)

They all have Orochimaru blocked (so does most of ninja twitter)

It really bothers me how no one in-universe or fandom acknowledges what a problem Kurenai has. I think I've seen one other person mention it and every time I bring this up to someone they act shocked and demand to know if that's canon because they never noticed it.

I will preface this by saying even before Asuma's death she clearly had a lot going on, a lot of the time looked like a deer in the headlights, probably some major PTSD rolling around in her brain, but also: Get Help, You Are Hurting People Around You.

(Post contains some screenshots from a translation of the Konoha Hiden Novel, from which A Perfect Day for a Wedding is adapted. I chose this because the anime version removed all of Shino's inner narration.)

She likes the strong stuff. Makes a hobby out of it.

Can always be found hanging around alcohol.

And everyone knows.

Even to have a serious conversation with Shino about his life she refuses to be sober and drunkenly tells him something devastating and factually untrue. (And causing fans who forgot he was scouted for this job based on a history of working well with children to create a pervasive fanon where Shino sucks at his job, will not forgive her for this any time soon.)

its always "sasuke hurt naruto and sakura he doesnt deserve them" when canonically sasuke left them behind because he didnt want to drag them in his revenge quest and he explicity tells them to leave him alone. they on their own decide to go after him and refuse his choice, he never asked them to do anything for him but quite opposite. even at vote 1 the fight literally starts after naruto himself throws the first punch??? and yes i understand naruto's reasoning all he knows here is that sasuke is going to orochimaru who wants sasukes body so hes desperate to stop that. but still he doesnt understand sasuke! and yet despite this being spell up over and over the audience refuses to see naruto and sasuke's fight as anything besides black and white when the whole point with them is that it always goes deeper than that.

also naruto literally never throws in sasuke's face all the years he spend going after him or all he did because it was his own choice and naruto knows this! sasuke never forced him and sasuke never owned him (or sakura) anything. he's not a bad friend for wanting to seek justice for the genocide of his clan. "but he tried to kill them" sakura was the one who went first to kill him. and naruto literally agrees to die with sasuke which newflash yes it means sasuke killing him AND naruto killing sasuke, crazy innit
