Because so many folks asked, here’s the Sunday sweater worn to @mdsheepwoolfest This one is also pretty sentimental to me! The yarn is from the first run of my Alchemy yarn base. The fiber is wool, my kid mohair, alpaca and silk. This is in the natural fiber color. It was milled @gurdy.run.woolen.mill The sweater pattern is an #alicestarmore from her book on Aran Knitting. And this one is the #irishmoss pattern. My BFF Kathleen @craicpotwoolwork did the incredible knitting. It's a simple but elegant pullover called Olki (straw in Finnish). It's a boxy sweater - not that you'd know with the bump - worked mostly in stockinette stitch with fun, simple vertical stripes on the front. The design gets its neat finish from the folded neckline, hem and cuffs that are bound off sewing. Finally remembered to post about this blanket I knitted for my friend at the beginning of the year! * The yarn is @dropsdesign Big Merino in Marble with the sheep knitted in some leftover Drops Alpaca Boucle yarn I had. The pattern is Sheep Blankie by Jean Adel. It’s out of print now, but can be purchased from Ravelry. * I mostly loved knitting this blanket, until it came to tying in the ends and I realised I had four ends to tie in for each of the 32 sheep!! * This was actually my second attempt has I was knitting the intarsia wrong!
