So I remember how you once answered a headcanon ask on how Reala and NiGHTS would be as parents.

So I am curious: how would NiGHTS and Reala react to finding out that they became an uncle? Specifically, NiGHTS finding out that Reala has a kid and Reala finding out that NiGHTS has a kid?

Hmm... I think they'd both be shocked, certainly xD assuming they hadn't reconnected. If they did, they probably would have given each other a heads up that there's going to be a new member of the family.

Reala is probably the stricter unkle. Even if he and NiGHTS have rekindled their friendship. Though he absolutely makes sure that his neice/nephew is unharmed. No one is going to mess with the nightmaren general's family. Meanwhile, NiGHTS fully takes advantage of the fact that they aren't the one who has to put the kid to bed by the end of the day XD

If their relationship is still strained though, I imagine it might be hard for either of them to interact with their neice/nephew. Especially for Reala. It's a touchy subject, especially considering the years-long-rivalry elephant in the room. I'm certain NiGHTS will be more ready to see their family, but Ree might need some time at least.

A/n: Sorry, I didn't re-read the story, so there might be spelling errors.

Y/n's bio: The reader is just a few weeks younger than Walker. She got her start on Good Luck Charlie as Charlie. But Taylor Swift discovered her musically. She has released three record-breaking albums so far. Once Taylor took her under her wing, things were never the same. Not that you didn't like it. You loved it!! But sometimes the paparazzi can be annoying. Especially when your best friends are huge stars.

When she gets the part of Annabeth in Percy Jackson, she becomes best friends with the cast. Especially her co-star, Walker Scobell. But will they become more than just friends?

The alarm clock goes off and you look over to see it is 7 am.

"Come on y/n! We are going to be late!"

You hop out of bed as your remembered what day it was. Today was the first day of filming Percy Jackson! You have loved Percy Jackson since you were very little and you were so excited to play Annabeth! You hop out of bed and rush to get dressed.

When you got to set you parking in your marked spot and went to your trailer to meet your hair and makeup artists(Gina and Natalie). They were very nice and sat you down as you got to know each other.

Walker walked in with Chick Fil A and sat next to you.

"I got you a cookies and cream milkshake too" He said sitting down I the seat next to you.

"Thank you!! Your makeup is done already?" You asked while grabbing the milkshake he was taking a sip out of.

"IT WAS DONE AN HOUR AGO! YOU WERE LATE!" He screamed and you both laughed.

You take a picture of him and the food and post it.

The first scene you did was the bathroom scene.

You were talking with Dior when the director yelled action. You got yourself into character.

"I can explain" Walker said nervously

"No you can't" I replied

"Okay. Wait...I know you dont I?"

"No you don't" I replied channeling my inner Annabeth

"You were there that night in the infirmary"

"Yes. I'm Annabeth"

"Are you stalking me Annabeth?"

"Yes" I say like it's totally normal

"Okay" He said caught off guard

"Well, I've been waiting to see if something like this would happen so I know if you can help me"

"Help you do what?"

"Win capture the flag of course"

The director yelled cut and Walker walked up to you dripping wet

"Hey great job! You were born to play Annabeth!" He said as you backed away from him

"What's wrong?" He asked a little confused

"I don't want to get wet" you said continuing to set back

"Well in that case..." He said with a mischievous grin in his face

He then lunged forward and had you in and bear hug and was spining you.

The hug you didn't mind but now you were covered in water too.

"WALKER! PUT ME DOWN!" You demand

"Fine" He said putting you down

"That's what you get for eating my nuggets" He said with a fake stern face

"I hate you! You said looking at how soaked you were.

"You love me" He said with a smile

"I do" you sighed

Alaxia gently swirls the wine in his glass, face scrunching slightly at the rather unpleasant aroma of the wine.

He takes a sip regardless of his displeasure for it, it was there and he needed to drink it. Lest he waste it. His eyes glance across the room, making sure that Etoile was far away and out of earshot. Luckily, the mew had gone outside for the moment. Leaving Alaxia some peace and quiet to talk freely.

Alaxia takes another sip of wine, one ear flicking Alaxia: If your universe, HAS this phenomenon. From what I've gathered, not every universe seems to have it... Guess that makes me somewhat of a rarity~ Alaxia laughs a bit Alaxia: A glitch in the system you could call it. I'm not a good thing, not by any means. I am a mistake.

Alaxia's tail swishes and wraps slightly around his ankles as he leans against the table, eyes flickering between his wine glass and Nid Alaxia: I've done my fair amount of research into it, I wasn't... always.. aware of what I am. I had to figure it out... myself... via my own destructive nature.. Alaxia frowns for a moment, his eyes flicker as if reliving a bad memory. He quickly flashes a smile back to Nid Alaxia: But don't worry. I wont hurt anyone here, nor do I plan to. I've gotten quite good at being able to... contain myself. Just because I was dragged here against my will, doesn't mean I will start contaminating everything with my mess. Alaxia raises a brow, smiling slightly as he takes another sip of wine Alaxia: Although, my Company is not aware of what I really am... I trust that you wont tell them. Enid is talking to Yoko on the phone when Wednesday comes in and lounges on Enid. Enid speaks softer and Yoko can tell.

“Oh you’re quieter. Tell Wednesday I say hi.”

“Yoko says hi Willa.”

“Tell Yoko she’s an abysmal vampire and that I have a stake reserved for her.”

“Wednesday say hi and that she misses you.”

“Aw, I miss her too. I’ll visit soon, maybe with Divina if she’s free.”

I like to imagine that while Wednesday seems to have beef with Yoko in most if not all of the aus, in the streamer au, it’s def surface level. Like if they were face to face there’d be more playful/rude banter, but with Enid has their go between for communication, she sees past the bullshit.

With Wednesday dozing off, Enid shouldered the phone to run a careful hand through her wife's hair.

"you seem happier, pup," yoko comments. "happy wife, happy life doing you well?"

Enid humms, giving Wednesday a kiss to the head. Her wife shifts and her grip under Enid's arms tighten as she nuzzles deeper into the blonde's chest.

"Ofcourse! I feel like oddysseus finally home to his Penelope." the wolf cocks her head. "actually wait, shouldn't it be the other way around?"

Yoko scoffs, an obvious smile on her voice. "you're becoming a nerd like Addams, 'nid. Like Greek references, really? Of all things to fixate on."

Enid gives a tiny gasp as she brushes a finger against Wednesday's cheek. "im an Addams too yknow"

Yoko laughs. "semantics!"

Why do Kang and sailom look like they are about to make out in front of their friends at that bar in the next episode preview? Are they really that shameless? I haven’t read the novel so I don’t know what’s going to happen but it would be funny if we get to see them do it and their friends reactions. Lol

Anon, I haven't read the novel either, but all I know is regardless of these two kissing or not in front of their friends, their next kiss BETTER have that Love Mechanics treatment.

You know what I'm talking about! When Vee and Mark's colors were shown though lighting on their respective side, continued to merge as they got closer, then flipped!

The team behind Dangerous Romance is the same team behind Love Mechanics which includes the director, the screenwriter, and the cinematographer, Nid Nidchaya, who also happens to be the cinematographer for Love in Translation, where we see this lighting game play out as well.

You know what I'm talking about! Yen Feng is a Blue Boy, but when he started to develop feelings for Green Guy Phumjai, green started to highlight the blue until they kissed resulting in the two colors merging.

So you see my vision for Sailom and Kanghan?

No worries, I am also dramaticising things a bit: but my thoughts indeed stemmed from the post that Gerald did not allow Maria to call Shadow his brother (came across it this morning), interlinked by my memories of other posts that (head)canoned about Shadow getting tortured on the ARK and not treated as a being worthy of respect who maybe only got loved in private and certainly not public, was only seen as important for giving Maria a cure and nothing else, etc.

And like... Yes, Gerald did cave to the president's wishes for a research on immortality to hopefully find a way to cure Maria's NIDS. Shadow was indeed created with that purpose in mind. But to me, that does not at all mean Gerald didn't love Shadow, or automatically just had to mistreat him because "of course every artificial creation doesn't get respect from the people who made it." I truly cannot recall a single indication in the games that Shadow's time on the ARK was nothing short of just... happy! I feel like the angst of Shadow's creation hits way harder when said happy, almost idyllic life got torn away so suddenly and the person who loved him was driven insane and turned him into a tool of revenge, than when said life already was one huge shitshow and this was just yet another thing that came on top.

I really need to replay Battle one time. Love that game and Shadow's story!

(Gerald anon again) I forgot to add, a reasoning for Gerald being a cruel scientist that I've seen be provided before is the fact you can see incomplete models of hedgehogs/Shadow in I believe ShTH if you use a camera hack somewhere. Make of that what you will.

This is one of those "appeal to emotions" analyses other people were talking about the other day. It's angst for the sake of angst. Poor Shadow, not allowed to be considered a person, part of the family, except for Maria who is literally the only person who ever loved him.

It was stated in the manuals that Shadow and Maria had a "sibling-like" relationship. This doesn't mean they saw each other a literal siblings to the point that Maria had to fight for her right to call Shadow her brother. Nothing about Gerald indicates that he'd correct Maria over this: for what purpose? Just to remind her that Shadow is not a "real" person?

Gerald gave Shadow a soul like Maria's. To me, this means that he really cared about him as a person and wanted him to be good; otherwise he would have only focused on his powers and healing properties. Yes, he then used him as a tool after Maria's death. He literally went insane with grief: that is not an indication of his usual personality.

Shadow was happy on the ARK. He and Maria literally played games:

such torture. many pain.

That Shadow was experimented on is a perfectly reasonable conclusion to reach: they needed to check his stability, his progress, his powers, etc. That those experiments were awful or dehumanizing is a reach. He already has trauma from getting his life ripped out of him: why add more? And as you said, him being perfectly content on the ARK makes the loss even more devastating.

Also what do the Shadow embryos have to do with anything? Of course there'd be Shadow embryos. Do you think my man went from creating the Biolizard to creating Shadow in one night? He tried again and again.

Pet peeve: I'm not an expert on Warhammer 40k lore, but from what I understand, the Tyranid Genestealer cults have a process where, after taking over the whole planet, all the Genestealer folks line up to jump into acid vats, so their biomass can be repurposed by the Tyranid hive mind. Except, according to the lore, just as they jump, the hive mind disconnects from them, leading them to realise in their final moments that they have been mind controlled all along, and have betrayed and doomed their fellow humans, sinking into acid screaming with despair and agony.

Well, that makes no fucking sense to me. First off, why would the hive mind risk them grabbing a ledge or something and escaping? To avoid the pain of getting melted alive? Pain means nothing to Tyranids! They could probably turn off the pain receptors instead.

Yes, I get that the whole point of grimdark is to make the most cruel and unhappy and edgy world, but

1. That's exactly why I hate grimdark to begin with, and

2. Most of the time, there is an in-universe justification for the suffering, even if a flimsy one. This is beyond flimsy.

Genestealer cults don't need that particular detail to be terrifying. An underground network of inbred humanoid abominations that slowly work in hiding to take over the world is terrifying as-is. (Now that I think about it, it sounds exactly like a "secret reptilian government" conspiracy theory made by a fascist. Who would have thought.)

Also, that act of disconnecting from the hive mind is cruel. And Tyranids shouldn't be cruel, because cruelty is human, and the horror of Tyranids is based on the fact that they are alien, uncaring machines made out of flesh that conquer the universe with cold efficiency. There is no place for cruelty here. Cruelty is inefficient.

So my headcanon is that the hive mind disconnect thing is just Imperium propaganda. Thanks for coming to my NID talk.

If you look very closely at NiGHTS’ level one attack (where they make their weird face), their head will shrink for a few frames before going back to normal.

NiGHTS doesn’t have any voice clips in this game. :(

(additional fact: the first time NiGHTS ever talked in non-Dream Language was in Phantasy Star Online! (Not counting the book/comics or Sonic Shuffle since they just reuse Illumina’s voice lol))

The description for NiGHTS’ signature gear has some strange implications about how the real world and the Night Dimension (and Sonic’s world) interact. So unless one of the kids built it, someone else in Twin Seeds knows about NiGHTS… 👀 (or maybe it’s referring to the version of Twin Seeds in Nightopia?)

In Sega Carnival, there’s a shortcut where you can get your character to ride in the Crazy Taxi. NiGHTS doesn’t even sit down… very dangerous behavior :( Also look how small they are lol

This was one of NiGHTS’ last appearances with their NiD design. The very last was Sega Splash Golf (unless you count metal NiGHTS in Sonic Superstars??).

A Japanese strategy guide for this game claims that NiGHTS is 4’11” (not sure if this was officially published by Sega though?)
