A Bride for the Prince (Prologue)

Summary:

Once upon a time, there lived a faithful and hardworking girl named Pixal Borg, who worked every day to satisfy her demanding stepmother. For years, she cleaned and cooked, giving no argument, until the day came when she met the prince. A Pixane Cinderella retelling.

Chapter summary:

Pixal Borg, daughter of Cyrus Borg, was the only heir to a lush estate... until they day her stepmother decided to get in the way.

Once upon a time, there lived a happy family in the Central Commonwealth within the realm of Ninjago. There was a father, a mother, and a lone daughter; the Borgs. They loved each other deeply and dearly, putting each other's needs before their own, and were envied by all who knew them.

As time passed, however, it became clear to everyone that their family was imperfect. The father, Cyrus, was an inventor who often worked late into the night by candlelight. The mother, Astrid, slowly became sickly and weak, confined to bed due to her weakness. Due to these circumstances, their daughter Pansy took it upon herself to run their household.

For several years, it seemed as if Astrid's sickness would come and go, leaving her slightly worse every time it faded. Eventually, however, it took her to death's door. It was at that time that she called Pansy to her side, that she might say her last goodbyes, even as Cyrus worked tirelessly to find a cure.

When Pansy at last came to her mother's bedside, Astrid took her hands. "My dearest daughter, my brightest star. You are but a pixel in the sky, but you shine with the light of faithfulness. Thank you for caring for me so well."

Pansy cried, wiping her tears away just as she shed them. "Mother, won't you recover? Father swears he's finally found a way."

"Not this time." Astrid struggled to sit up and pressed a kiss to Pansy's forehead. "My daughter, you must be good for your father. Be faithful, and the First Master will always take care of you. I will watch over you from the next life; you will never be alone."

Later that night, Astrid breathed her last. Pansy cried unceasingly for weeks. In her mother's memory, she decided she would no longer live by the name of Pansy; instead, she would be Pixal, shining faithfully despite all hardship.

After his wife's death, Cyrus lapsed into a deep despair. He would neither sleep nor eat as he should. More than once, Pixal had to beg him to care for himself. For months his sorrow was inexpressable. He prayed, he cried, and he lived on. Eventually, however, he began to be able to cope with their loss.

One day as Cyrus was wandering their town's market, he came across a beautiful woman and her two daughters, shopping for clothing. He introduced himself, and they began a friendship. Before much time had passed, they decided to court. The woman, Amaryllis, was a widow who sought financial stability, especially for her daughters Begonia and Columbine, while Cyrus desired companionship, that Pixal might have a mother again. It seemed like a perfect solution to all involved.

Eleven months after Astrid's death, Cyrus and Amaryllis were married. Their courtship had been beautiful, as was the ceremony, and not a single eye was dry as they spoke their vows. Pixal thought that she would have a beautiful relationship with every one of her new family members, and the future looked bright to all.

Unfortunately, when the anniversary of his first wife's death arrived, Cyrus lapsed once more into his sorrow. He delved into his work to cope, avoiding every obligation. Once again, he worked by candle light to finish his many inventions, in the hope that they could bring him out of his despair. He could not revive his wife, but if he could provide perfectly for his new family, perhaps he would feel saved.

When Amaryllis saw how Cyrus still cared about his first wife, however, she was filled with rage. Begonia and Columbine were likewise angered, as they had hoped their new father would spoil them with attention and gifts, but instead he holed himself up in his workroom. Pixal, for her part, simply went about her life as she had prior, for her new sisters never lifted a finger to help with the housework, as she always had to aid their hired help. Her relationship with her new sisters became strained. In thinking that she thought she was a more righteous girl than them, Begonia and Columbine began to torment her, giving her ever more work to do and telling the maids that it was Pixal's doing. As Pixal slowly took on more chores, Amaryllis began to join in.

As the years passed, life only devolved for the Borgs, even as Cyrus found success in his inventions. Under his unsuspecting eye, Pixal slowly became akin to a maid, while Amaryllis, Begonia, and Columbine began to treat themselves like queens. He took long business trips, often traveling to the farthest corners of their kingdom to sell his inventions. However, Pixal never wavered, committed to her promise to her mother. Faithful until the end, she held her head high, despite wearing rags smudged with cinders, determined to be the daughter her mother raised.

Fairy Tale Ninja AU (Snippet{Ver. 1})

In a beautiful green forest, small and fluffy creatures are eating the food given by mother nature. Their peaceful dining for lunch was soon coming to an end as some sort of vortex appeared above under the leaves of the tall trees. “AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!”, screams were coming from the ninja as they fell from the vortex. They groan in pain as they land on the grassy ground. “Owww… What the heck happened?” Jay asked as he slowly sits up. The rest do the same, they soon realize that they each are out of their ninja gi and wearing completely different clothing. The blink for a few more moments as they stand on their feet. Cole seems to be a werewolf with a black sleeveless, buttoned shirt and dark brown leather pants. His black soft hair grew about 2 inches longer and is barefoot. Nya was wearing a white shirt under a light pink tuxedo, thin black pants and fancy black shoes. Her hair tied into a bun with a golden accessory over her bun. Lloyd was wearing all green leathered clothing, with a green hat with a red feather stuck on it. Zane was wearing a white shirt under a dark brown tuxedo and pants with black fancy shoes. He was also disguised as a human but still a nindroid, just unable to show it. Jay was dressed like a pirate with a striped white and blue shirt with dark blue pants. And finally Kai, who wore a short red dress with long sleeves but cut around the shoulders. A small red hood was over his head and has snow white stockings with clean black shoes.

The others snickered as they see Kai in a short dress, except for Cole, who was blushing madly at the view. As for Kai he blushes in embarrassment, “Why is everyone looking at me?!” Nya giggles along with Jay. Zane looks around the forest and then turns back to his friends, “I believe Kai is right. We should be focusing more about where we are instead of what he is wearing.” Lloyd nods in agreement. “But what about what WE are wearing?” Jay asks. Then, they all look at their own clothing while Kai calms himself. “Hm. Whatever we’re wearing shouldn’t be a problem. But why would the villain we were facing send us to this specific place?” Nya questions with many thoughts in her head. “Maybe there’s some place nearby with people. We can ask them where we are!” Cole replies. Zane nods, “Scanning for any villages or towns nearby…”

He turns his whole body, scanning for what he’s searching for. Zane soon stops and points in front of him, “I sense a path. That should lead us to a town, if not, a village.” “Then let's get moving. We don’t know if this place has a time difference than in Ninjago.”, Lloyd states. They all nod and begin to walk in the direction Zane pointed them to.

They finally reach the path that should lead to a village. “So where do you think we are?” Cole asks slowly. The others shrug as an answer. The, costume party, ninjas continue to walk silently wandering around the beautiful, lush green forest.

Ninjago: Neon Warfare is a years long 2-part fan-project of mine written entirely in screenplay format. It’s a sequel to season 11 and deals with the aftermath of Zane’s reign as the Emperor when his past leaks into his home realm. His status, relationships, and health are put in jeopardy.

Aus:

Ninjago 2510: My cinematic universe where many of my stories and ocs reside in (most notably Neon Warfare and Let’s Play Pretend.) It’s relatively canon-adjacent meaning all the stories and lore should fit in canon.

Let’s Play Pretend: After Crystalized, Lloyds destructive nature finally takes over. Can he be stopped and brought to his senses, or will he be lost to suppressed side of himself?

Golden-Ice-Emperor-Zane: The Ice Emperor is infused by golden power and the Overlords influence. Co-creator: @diisdoodles

Spellbound: A villain casts a spell on all of ninjago and sends them into a world where they believe they are fairy tale characters. Though one individual slipped through the cracks and must make the ninja remember who they are, or all that was is lost.

Fantasy Au: Story that focuses on the beloved Prince Lloyd. When he finds out that he’s been lied to and his father is up to no good, he vows to take over the kingdom for himself, with the aid of the Shining Stallion: Jorge

60 years: Zane tries to survive on his own after losing his memories. On a journey of self-discovery and a search for purpose, Zane gains and loses many families and homes. All the while he dreams of an Ice man with a great big staff, and uses those dreams to enhance his own icy abilities.

Julien and the Prism of Imperium: How a young Julien got ahold of a source of power that he’d eventually use to create his only son. Fast forward decades later, the one who loved and sacrificed themselves to help Julien has survived as a nindroid. They have created a nindroid empire underground, and Zane learns he has not one but 24 other siblings. A certain Cryptor reawakens, seeking to destroy Zane’s new found family.

(Also, as a mini disclaimer: nobody working on this Ninjago AU has actually seen the Tinker Bell movies in years so we were relying on the wiki and our collective singular braincell (/aff) and some details may not be 100% canon compliant but helsjdndnwjaj whatever gay fairies let’s go.)

So, this tale starts with two dandelions, growing right beside each other, whose seeds, with the power of two separate children’s laughs, fly off onto the wind, seeds, in KD’s words do “a Silly Little Dance on the wind together” before splitting apart to the Pixie Dust Tree and Winter woods respectively.

Naturally, the two seeds end up becoming Whint and Julian, each being a frost(?) and tinker talent fairy respectively. One day, the two each ventured to the border (where neither were supposed to be) for unspecified reasons and ran into each other, both having a strange sense of familiarity.

Of course they introduced themselves and ended up developing quite the friendship. Which, of course, turned into something a bit more. But, their romance was entirely forbidden even by the very nature of their existences themselves. Did they care? Absolutely not.

The two carried on their secret romance, Julian eventually figuring out the secret to creating life through Pixie Dust (a discovery that would end up being compromised and stolen, but that’s a different story), and this resulted in him creating his and Whint’s sons, one with a yet-to-be-specified winter talent, and the other with an animal talent. Each having the unique ability to freely travel across with border without physical consequence.

Also Whint freezing in this AU? Yeah that’s just something that happens if he stays on the warm side too long. It’s a regular occurrence and is easily fixable by just taking him back to the Winter Woods.

Man, this was longer than I expected but FROZENGEAR.

This was going to be Kai but Lloyd fit better

Oh my gosh like the fandoms expectations for the green ninja

Lloyd was told by his Uncle Wu to go pick up some tea from Mystake

On his way back, he keeps running into Akita, who’s trying to warn him of danger, but Lloyd can’t understand her

The danger is Harumi is following him. Lloyd doesn’t see her

When Lloyd reaches the monastery, Harumi is there, pretending to tend the place

She says that she’ll take the tea to Wu, and Lloyd is give her the tea, when Akita comes and scares Harumi off

Akita sniffs out Wu and after she finds him, reveals herself as a human

Then they all live happily ever after (except Harumi) the end

Snow White

Zane is the son of the oh so famous Dr. Julien, the royal inventor, but the King (ice elemental from the elemental alliance) takes a liking to Zane, and adopts him when Dr. Julien dies

Now Zane is the prince woo

The King also takes a liking to the ice emperor, but that was a mistake, because he sneakily kills the king and takes the throne for himself

“Mirror mirror on the wall, who’s the coldest of them all?”

It’s Zane

So IE tells Vex to go kill Zane, but Vex doesn’t actually know how to kill a nindroid so he just tells him to run into the forest

That’s where Zane meets the 7 dwarves

Hungry (Cole) Chatty (Jay) Confused (teen Wu) Flirty (Kai) Grumpy (Morro) Happy (Echo) and Sleepy (Lloyd)

Later he meets P.I.X.A.L. who immediately catches his heart

The IE finds out that Zane is still alive, and decides that since Vex didn’t help him, he was going to have to kill Zane himself

He disguises himself and goes into the forest

He gives Zane an apple that gives him a fatal virus, but Zane doesn’t realize it’s bad so he dies (wow shocker)

Then the IE falls off a cliff

The 7 dwarves hold a small funeral and invite P.I.X.A.L.

P.I.X.A.L. realizes that Zane isn’t dead dead, so she kisses him and he comes back to life

They go back to the kingdom and Zane is crowned king, and P.I.X.A.L is queen. The dwarves are advisors

Then they all live happily ever after the end

Echo

Dr. Julien didn’t want Zane to know he was building a little brother for him, because he was getting sick, and thought he was going to die soon, and he didn’t want Zane to be sad at his brother and his father not being around

So he struck up a deal with Samukai the Skeleton

Samukai would give him a private place to build Echo, and a potion to help him get better if Samukai got to keep Echo

Not having much of an option, Dr. Julien agreed, hoping that Echo and Zane would find each other on their own

Echo was built and Samukai kept him in a lighthouse

Dr. Julien tells Zane of his missing brother

Events of Snow White (seen above) ensue and now Zane is king yay

Morro is a wanted thief and while getting away, he runs into what he thinks is an abandoned lighthouse

Only to find a rusty nindroid

Echo explains he’s always wanted to see the real world but he never got to

Morro sneaks him out and they head to the kingdom to celebrate the king’s birthday

Echo realizes that he’s the king’s brother, and he a Morro go back to ask Samukai questions

Samukai does an exposition dump, and stabs Morro, before Morro simply blows him away

Morro dies but he’s a ghost so it’s okay

They return to the kingdom and Echo FINALLY meets Zane

Morro and Echo start dating

Then they all live happily ever after the end

The Little Mermaid

Jay was always fascinated with little toys he found from human shipwrecks

He would often go on and on about what he thought they were all used for

His father may have been King Cliff, but Jay was practically raised by Ed and Edna, who taught him about the human world

His mom is dead rip

He goes to the surface and finds Nya, who he immediately falls in love with

He stays hidden, but sings Nya a little song

The ship almost wrecks, but Jay saves Nya. She’s barely waking up to his song again before he swims off. She wants to know who that voice was

Jay finds a locket with Nya and her brother in it, and he wants to take it to Nya, so he tells his dad

His dad isn’t happy that Jay fell in love with a human

After another fight with his father, Jay goes off and gets lost, but is found by Nadakhan

Nadakhan says he can make Jay human, all he has to do is wish, and Jay gets 3 wishes total. After the third wish, Nadakhan gets something of Jay’s

Jay’s first wish is to be human, his second is that he won’t be able to speak because he wants to save his 3rd wish

Nadakhan grants Jay’s wishes and Jay goes to learn to become human. He gives the locket to Nya

Nya tells him about her brother’s romantic escapades (see below) but she also tells him that she has to get married soon or she might not be able to support her career in technological advancement

She has her sights (or rather ears) set on the lovely voice she heard that night, but Jay can’t tell her that that was him

They meet Nadakhan who has come to get Jay’s third wish, but Jay won’t use it

Nadakhan says that if Jay doesn’t use his third wish by sundown the next day, he was going to kill Nya

Nadakhan uses magic to sound like Jay, and Nya has to marry him (she’s under a spell)

The next day, Jay still hasn’t made his third wish by sundown and Nya starts dying

Jay wishes her to stay alive, and says even if Nadakhan takes his legs and he never gets to see Nya again, he’ll be fine, just as long as she lives

Nadakhan grants the wish, but the spell on Nya fades away and she falls in love with Jay

I don’t know what to do with Nadakhan, I think I’ll have him just take the boat and leave

Then they all live happily ever after the end

Flirty and the Beast

Kai is the biggest flirt in their village

Everyone knows he’s just a blacksmith who likes fighting, but men and women alike can’t get enough of his flirtatious exploits

Though he’s never actually known what real love is. He also wants to go out on an adventure, but the closest he’s ever gotten was books

One day, Nya wants to take her samurai x project to ninjago city, and Kai tells her to have fun

While Cryptor (literally couldn’t find a better villain please work with me) is trying to get Kai to date him, Kai receives a message from Nya that she’s in trouble

Kai runs off to try and save her and that’s when he finds out that Nya’s been taken prisoner by an anacondrai looking person

She introduces herself as Skylor, and she says she’ll let Nya go if Kai stays with her

Kai agrees and Nya goes back to their village to get help

Nya tells Cryptor about Kai, and he just laughs it off, because Nya’s a women, and all women are crazy, but he decides that if Nya is going crazy, he could hold it against Kai

But he can’t find Kai

Back at Skylor’s mansion castle, Kai gets curious and finds the staff making Skylor a snake

After she scares him, he runs into the woods and is attacked by wolves, but Skylor saves him

They star falling in love after that

Kai asks Skylor if he could visit Nya, and Skylor reluctantly lets him go for good, thinking he might like that most

Kai also tells them of Skylor, finally realizing he loves her, and Cryptor decides to get rid of her, because “if I can’t have Kai, no one can”

They fight

After stopping Cryptor (Nya was able to shut him off) Kai shucking finally kisses Skylor and she turns into a Normal human

Wanting to help Kai go on and adventure, Skylor takes him, and Nya on a trip to visit a beach (queue previous story)

then they live happily ever after the end

Noir locks

Cole never wanted to sing and dance, but he loved watching the lumberjacks

One day he followed them out to a part of the woods he was unfamiliar with

He explores a bit more and finds a house. There seems to be fresh food, he didn’t eat breakfast and was starving, so he sneaks in

There’s cake

After eating the vanilla cake instead of the chocolate or strawberry, Cole decides to take a nap. He woke up super early to catch the lumberjacks, and walking for so long made him exhausted

He finds the most luxurious bed he’s ever slept in

He’s woken up to a high pitched scream

He sees an ivory and gold colored bear and starts screaming too

Two more bears come up the stairs

After they all calm down, the bears introduced themselves as Vania, Seliel, and Kataru

Kataru says his sister is usually here as well but she was out doing something else

Cole asks what the heck is going on and why there were talking bears sleeping in beds and eating cake

Vania explains that her father cursed her and Seliel, and Kataru was just a bear formling

Cole decides to see if he can do anything about it, so Vania leads him to her fathers mine

Cole try’s to reason with Vangelis, but the king won’t have it

Vania explains that Cole needs to shave Vangelis’s beard because that’s where he stores his magic

Cole does, but Vania and Seliel are still bears

Vangelis later explains that his magic is actually from a magic skull and he just tells people that it’s in his beard because he wants to throw them off

Cole tries to steal the skull, and Vangelis catches him and turns Cole into a bear

After fighting Vangelis and ultimately getting the skull, Cole runs off

He takes the skull back to Kataru who destroys it

Vania, Cole and Seliel turn back

Not having any real magic anymore, and just being a horrible person, Vangelis is knocked off the throne and Vania takes over

Then they all live happily ever after the end

Unholy rare pair of Clouse x Misako x Garmadon

[ The ninja have decided to visit Lloyd at his parent’s new monastery and are relaxing in the living room. Everything is calm until some screams are heard from down below.]

Kai: Where are those screams coming from Lloyd?

Lloyd: It’s better to ignore the screams.

Jay: Why? Somebody could be hurt though?

Lloyd: it’s just mom eating.

Zane: I don’t recall any cuisine that screams when you eat it.

Lloyd: Remember when I said my mom was a bug lady who fed off of emotions? Yeah those emotions tend to have different flavors especially on different people. And apparently she’s taken out a future threat for us.

Nya: Well what kind of threat is this person?

Garmadon: The kind who betrayed the elemental alliance and apparently kidnapped Ray and Maya.

[ Garmadon is holding a cup of iced tea tiredly and sipping on it. He sits down on his recliner.]

Lloyd: Geez dad you’ll give me a heart attack.

Garmadon: Somebody has to keep you and your friends on their toes. There’s always evil around.

Lloyd: Is the evil papa?

Garmadon: The gunk. I’ve been covered in blood and who knows what else in my life. But that green gunk is impossible to clear from the body without multiple showers and mental breakdowns.

Jay: Yeah but what exactly is auntie?

Garmadon: An emotional parasite.

Nya: Isn’t that harsh?

Garmadon: No not at all. In fact she thinks the name is cute.

Cole: Why emotional parasite then?

Garmadon: It’s because she’s a changeling a species of bug like humanoids. Think of those fairies from children’s tales and that’s a changeling. Only far more insect looking and able to spew out a gunk to keep the princess trapped forever while the changeling gets the prince. Somehow her family the Montgomery’s from who knows where managed to settle into Ninjago around the time my father spun it into creation. They were refugees from some far off realm but personally my bet is Dinjago. The magic and shapeshifting abilities seem to add further credence to my personal theory. Anyways Changelings need emotions to feed off of, typically the healthiest and most viable source of energy is Love and Lust. The love of course can range from familial, friendship, and romantic. The other emotions on the spectrum just don’t have the same kick for them apparently.

I think the changing Misako thing needs to be its own separate au at this point

So my Au's concept is that Lloyd is the reincarnation of the great Devourer, and the rest of the ninja are his loyal generals.

I reshape the canon and build my own (lol what will you do to me I'm in another city)

When the First Master wanted to make Ninjago, he came to the lands where chaos reigned and each element did what it wanted. With the help of his power of creation and ability to control the elements, he created a fairy-tale world. Serpentines appeared, people but there were other smaller races. Blazes (demons), vampires, thunderous earths, ice spirits, etc., were all spirits of the elements. After the defeat of the serpentines, the hunt began for them, well, because they did not at all look like people. And here the Great Devourer appears, he begins a military campaign to knock out a place in the sun for all non-humans. They followed him because they knew everything or nothing. For almost six long years, the war against the Absorber thundered, and as usual it all ended when the first master intervened in a serious way. The Devourer and the Master clashed in battle, but the Master was stronger. While dying, the snake cursed his enemy that one of his sons would repeat the fate of the Devourer and try to conquer Ninjago.

Fate made a cruel joke on the Great Devourer because after his death he was reborn into Lloyd Garmadon, the son of Lord Garmadon and the grandson of the First Master who must overthrow his father. * Memories of the past began to come to the ninja only after the discovery of their elemental powers.

* Green power is similar to the one on the show, except that it is not so destructive. Firepower may not be as strong, but psychic is another matter. You can feel other people's emotions and see the aura, take control and control the mind of the intelligent.

Bodyguard Au + Fairy tale Au

((I’ll be going off of the fairy tale sleeping beauty, but things won’t quite be the same.))

The young prince Jay was born to King Cliff and Queen Liberty. A ball was held to celebrate his birth and people from all the corners of Ninjago were invited. Once they had arrived, each had bestowed a gift to the young prince.

The Serpentine, the Formlings, Geckles, Munce and even the dragons bring gifts for the young boy, but Nadakahn, king of the djinns came empty handed. When questioned on this, he explained that he had a different kind of gift. Three wishes that could be made by the king for the young boy.

King Cliff was thrilled by this and began making wishes, but the djinn king played a nasty trick. He twisted the kings words around until it was prophesised that when prince Jay turned eighteen, he would prick his finger on the fang of an ancient snake skeleton and fall into an eternal slumber. With his remaining wishes, the king managed to twist the curse into something that could give them hope. The eternal slumber could be broken by an act of true love.

The King, hoping to prevent any of this from happening, had every skeleton kept for studying buried and sent Jay to grow up in a place far from the castle under the care of Ed and Edna.

(Sorry, got kinda lazy at this point)

After enough time, a young boy by the name of Cole was hired to be Jay’s friend and ‘bodyguard’, just keeping him away from anything resembling what the curse detailed. Soon, the two became closer and closer until they started dating.

When Jay inevitably pricks his finger on the fang of a skeletal fangpyre and falls into a deep sleep. They try everything to wake him up, but only after Cole holds him and professes his love does he wake up.

For a bit of lore in Tales of Ninjago, here’s how formlings work in this AU.

Formlings are shapeshifting fairies that look like the ones from the Zelda series. They can take the form of any animal. Akita and Kataru of course will show up (I hate season 11 with a burning passion but I couldn’t resist adding them) and while they take many forms, they have a general preference for the animals they are in canon.

Formlings can also assume human form and can change any aspect however they want. If Akita wants orange skin or Kataru wants blue hair, they can do that.

Formlings mostly keep to themselves but they’re also mischievous and like to play tricks on humans. They can live just about anywhere but have a general aversion to very hot and very cold places.

There is also an elemental magic known as ‘Form Magic’ which (obviously) Camille has mastered. Form magic was taught to humans by formlings though Form Magic isn’t as powerful as the formlings’ abilities.

Since the plots of only the first 10 seasons will be used in this AU, Akita and Kataru are minor characters but they do show up once in a while, mostly to show their perspective of the things that go on in the known world.

Musing about the crossover and some things connecting to it

I had the idea of also making it part of the serpintine descendants au.

Just it would seem cute in my head. Just the ninja freaking out because Echo went missing before they could fix him up. Since in the SD au Jay refuses to leave him in the lighhouse after the events of season 6 even if the wish undid them.

The sonic crew is also probably freaking out. because they know silver didn't return to the future yet and he went missing. This will also probably take place in an au where they have shard and Sonia and Manic because I like sonic underground and Shard.

Yang would be on a war path looking for Ruby if she went missing. It would take place shortly after the battle for minstrel. So the team was *just* ruinited.

Meanwhile Echo is bonding with Ruby, Tale and Silver. He's also the one who gets a majority of the items they find because he has the least powers/fighting skills starting out that can actually use them. Tale cant or else they woukd totally give him some.

That said when they get their first great fairy gift (the magic) it all has diffrent effects on them than it would a typical Hylain/termanian. The effect is the reason Ruby's silver eyes, which she cant really control at this point, works on the monsters and why she can use her dust bullets off of remnant. Silver can telepathically communicate using it...and is the one that ends up with the lens of truth later so.

Echo oh for Echo it does more because he still has magic residue from his home world, Ninjago, and Nahkakhan (djjdn I spelled that so wrong Im sure) and it kinda just mixes it together so he ends up with some sort of gemstone/crystal creation and manipulation power. It's also really draining on him to use especally since his body isnt exactly up to handling such powers.

Their second great fairy gift pretty much is an increase of that. It dosent really help echo asside from making it take longer for him to collapse doing anything. At that point Echo is sticking with the bow and the deku sticks and Deku nuts they got.

The third great fairy gift involved her smacking her head because her typical gift would only really work for Ruby. So with them she gave Ruby her typical gift and after a while of thinking made it to where Echo would use less energy making his crystals (after talking to him) and giving a boost to silvers actual telekinesis.

Their fourth gift is the typical deffence buff so Echo ends up falling appart a little less often after being hit.

The fifth gift is cery diffrent than what link got because she was like 'ok I really cant give any of you a sword'. In the end she enchanted Cresent Rose's balde to be stronger (because Ruby hissed at the black smiths) and gave the boys diffrent items (what IDK taking suggestions on this .///.)

When they finally beat majora they also end up, with the great fairy's help, making pendants to rember each other. The pendants have one of Echo's crystals (made in their colors: copper/brass, Silver, and red) surounded by a gold back and rim that has some blue on it (made from silver glove and boot cuffs) with a little poem made by Tale on it, with some over looking of tatle, and held by a ribbon made from Ruby's cloak (restored by the grat fairy, and when held right magically projects an image of all four of them together, ala grat fairy magic.

Then when they get home seemingly three days later they are pulled into group hugs by theor friends and family asking a lot of questions....

Echo was not allowed to leave the nest Jay ended up making for longer XD.

Summary:

Once upon a time, Princess Vania of Shintaro lived in an ivory castle in an ivory city. Her father, King Vangelis, kept her safe in her tower, where no one could hurt her and she could not hurt herself... until the day when she ran away. A Colania Snow White retelling.

It was the middle of winter in the Kingdom of Shintaro, and the queen sat in the window. She gazed out the window at the slowly-falling snow. The snowflakes shrouder her kingdom in a welcoming blanket, concealing the ivory and gold in purest white, as if to erase them. Stars twinkled through the gaps in the clouds, silently gazing down. The queen smiled at the sight.

In the arms of the queen laid a baby girl, snoring near-silently. Her wispy, straw-yellow hair barely concealed the top of her head, and her skin was pale as ivory. She happily slept, unconcerned with the world outside the window. Her mother rocked her gently, humming quietly. The snow muffled all outside sound in its gentle embrace.

There came a quiet knock at the door. The king came inside the room and greeted his wife.

"Dearest, there you are. The doctors said you were not in bed."

The queen smiled. "Vangelis, you worry too much. I simply came to watch the snow." She rocked the baby gently, enjoying the smile it elicited. "I had hoped that Vania would be lulled to sleep by it, and I was right."

"I worry the right amount, my love. You have been weaker by the day since our daughter's birth. I do not wish to see you suffer."

"My husband, I am not suffering: I am caring for our child." The queen smiled. "If it will please you, I will come to bed, but only if you join me."

"Very well," the king conceded. He took Vania from her arms, gently lifting her with the care of a father's love. "It is late, in any case."

For the next few years, the king and queen of Shintaro. lived happily with their daughter. Peace and love reigned over the ivory kingdom of Shintaro, and prosperity touched every man, woman, and child. However, after a few years and as winter's cold grip weakened to springtime, so did the queen's health.

"Vangelis," the queen called weakly from her bed. "You must promise me."

"What must I do?" the king asked his wife. He took her hand in his.

"I have one final wish, husband. Protect our daughter; she will be rash, and curious. Unknowing of the world. Keep her safe, here in Shintaro." She breathed weakly. "Our child must not grow up in the knowledge of our world's hatred."

"I will take care of her, my love." The king kissed her. "I will keep her safe from herself."

The king stayed with her until her breath ran out, and then she lived no more. All of Shintaro mourned their gracious queen, rich in mercy and compassion.

So it was that Princess Vania of Shintaro grew up in the loving watchfulness of her father, King Vangelis, knowing no pain nor suffering, nor anything of the outside world. She grew up to be a beautiful young woman, with skin as fair as ivory, and hair as gold as straw. She dreamt of new worlds, of open skies, of flight with wings that she was denied, and of freedom.

So I have a problem...

@kittydemon9000 @the-ninjago-girl I have 2 different versions of the Fairy Tale Ninja AU. Let me explain the way they go, but either way it’s just gonna end up with Kai being tortured because why not? ANYWAYS:

Plot 1: The ninja get sent to the realm not knowing where they are. They manage to find a village and Kai gets flirty comments so Nya and Cole go overprotective mode- especially when Kai gets kidnapped by these pro-bandits or somthin. They find Kai they leave and he explains that they were trying to sell him to some King or whatever (still working that part out). They get supplies and maybe someone might let them stay at a hotel? Again, don’t know- Then this giant half-beast guy comes in with his army, take out the ninja, keeps Kai for himself, thinking he could use for whatever his plan is? And to make Kai suffer. Kai tries to help the others escape but sadly fails. A bit later the ninja find their own way to escape. The ninja soon face the half-beast guy but, plot twist (or this is expected) Kai is being controlled and the ninja are forced to fight him- They beat him, Cole and Kai kiss (lets honor the ship of the Big Bad Wolf Boi with the Red Riding Hood Hothead), the half-beast guy loses and they win! And also they find their way back to Ninjago.

Plot 2: The ninja get sent to a realm with their memories wiped by a villain they faced in Ninjago (who also was the one who sent them there) and made them think they were these certain fairy tale characters, playing their role. Zane meets Jay and they felt a familiar connection. Then, Nya comes in the picture, because Zane was working for Nya, so yeh- They remember who they are {the ninja also wear neclaces with small stones on them with their elemental symbols on it too, it also holds their powers} so they break the stones they get their powers back and go to find the others. They eventually find Lloyd flyin’ around, they try to make him remember who he is, he eventually remembers and breaks his necklace (he can still fly btw). Then, we go to where Kai and Cole meet. They meet in a forest they chat and do the same thing for about 2 or 3 days. Cole bumps into the others and they do the same thing they did to Lloyd. Cole gets his memory back and breaks the neckalce. Fortunatley, Cole shows the others where to meet up with Kai but then Jay sees Kai with ‘Cole’. They see it was a copycat and Cole gets hella jelous. Nya also gets upset that her brother is being tricked by this copycat- They explain that they’re actually the villain from before and is making sure Kai stays in the Fairy Tale realm while the others are forced to get sent back to Ninjago without him. And cue the villain monologue... He explains there’s a ball the next day at night and he’s planning on taking Kai there and making him ‘his’. Unfortunatley, Cole gets beat up and the others were too busy helping him, so the villain asks Kai out to the ball. The ninja make a plan and go there especially since Nya is also royalty in that realm and see Kai alone, waiting for the copycat. Cole goes to him right before the other ‘Cole’ comes back and they try to tell Kai that they are the real Cole. The fake tries to tell him he’s the guy who he met a few days ago and ‘loves him’. While the real one tells him about Kai, not Red Riding Hood (or just Red for short) and tells him he loves him more than his copycat. And, activate the bootiful music, while the LAVASHIP HAPPEN!!!! Kai gets his memory back, but the villain laughs and tells them that Kai didn’t have a neclace. They panic once they realize it and the guy snaps his fingers and Kai is in now in pain.... Yes- Kai’s powers activate and turned out to corrupt him and are uncontrollable. The villain realizes he made a mistake while Kai burns him alive. The others try to save the people in the ballroom and put out the fires Kai caused. They get him to control his powers and he calms down. They go back to Ninjago the next day, The End-

I recently saw a post daring people to mash up their first fandoms with their newest fandoms and, for me, that’s Ninjago and Sanders Sides, respectively. So, I wrote the first of I don’t know how many potential chapters in this AU. There’s not much exposition, so feel free to ask whatever questions you might have. 

There was nothing that soothed the soul quite like the soft music of a flute, Thomas found. Despite the stress of being in charge of four teenagers, he always managed to completely let go when he was playing his favorite wooden flute. In fact, he was so relaxed, he almost didn’t notice the shuriken that lodged itself into a wooden support beam, inches from his head. 

Thomas’s eyes snapped open and he sat up as soon as he realized how close he’d been to death, turning to face where the other four were supposed to be having a simple sparring match. Instead, what he saw was Logan, his lightning powered pupil, and Roman, his firey explosion of s student, on the ground wrestling, practically foaming at the mouth as they fought to hurt each other. 

Reacting as quickly as he could, Thomas jumped up and grabbed the two by the collar, yanking them apart and refusing to let go. 

“What is going on here?! I space out for two minutes and you two are trying to kill each other again?!” 

Thomas got a response, but it was far from a clear one, the two teenagers yelling over each other until they were shocked into silence by a minor earthquake. Thomas glanced over at Virgil, fighting a smile over the fact that he was accepting his earth powers. 

“Can you two ever shut up?” Virgil asked, pulling the blade of his scythe out of the ground. “He just asked a simple question.” 

As Roman glared and growled in Virgil’s direction, Logan gave Thomas the clear response that he needed. 

“It did start out as a simple sparring match. I had beaten Patton and Roman had beaten Virgil, so the two of us were up and I almost had the match won when Roman said, and I quote, ‘How could a wimp like you have beaten Patton? Lightning isn’t a real element, anyways,’ to which I responded by saying that I didn’t need elements to beat a pretty boy like him and he made the first attack.”

“He deserved it!” Roman snapped. “I was clearly just joking around and just because he’s not nearly as pretty as I am-”

“Guys!” Patton whined. “If you two keep fighting like this every time we train, how can we ever think of beating any bad guys?”

“Patton’s right, you guys,” Thomas pointed out, releasing his grip on the two. “How can you expect to work as a team when you can’t even train together?”

Logan and Roman sighed and glanced at each other before looking back at Thomas apologetically. 

“We got carried away..” Roman muttered. “We’re both at fault and we’ll both try not to let it happen again.” 

“I don’t need Roman to speak for me, but I do agree,” Logan reluctantly added. 

Thomas sighed and opened his mouth to speak once more, interrupted by the radio that the boys kept on. 

“We interrupt this broadcast with an emergency message. People of Edis Village are warned to stay inside after the sighting of some sort of thug disguised as a serpentine.”

Roman scoffed. “The same kind our parents used to warn us about in fairy tales?”

“The exact same threat that children are told about in fairy tales!” 

“You guys should go check it out,” Thomas said. “Never put off for tomorrow what can be done today.”

“It’s probably just some kid scaring the town, surely the police can handle it. We need to train,” Logan argued. 

“Thomas is our teacher.. I think we should at least check it out, since he told us,” Patton added, going to yank his shuriken back out from where Logan threw it at the wooden beam. “Besides, if it really is just some kid, it shouldn’t take us too long.” 

Virgil nodded. “Patton’s right. We go check it out, then we train.” 

“Fine,” Logan grumbled. 

“Let’s make this quick,” Roman sighed as he picked up his discarded sword. 

It was a fairly short trip down to the village and an even shorter time was spent finding the source of their troubles. 

Over the radio, the kid was described to be around their age with half of his face was seemingly painted with scales. He’d even went so far as to give himself as snake-like eye, but he hadn’t bothered changing out of the pajamas that the others identified him by: a simple yellow shirt and black sweat pants.

“Excuse me,” Roman demanded, stepping in front of his team. “What exactly do you think you’re doing?” 

The disguised teen, facing away from the four, groaned and slumped forward a bit, seemingly irritated. “What? Are you here to chase me out too? I just wanted some food, now leave me-” The second the kid turned around, he froze in fear, the same way anybody would if they saw someone carrying a flaming sword or a sparking pair of nunchucks. 

Easily the least threatening, Patton stepped in front of Roman to speak to the boy. “Listen, we don’t want to hurt you, but- Hey!” the icy ninja exclaimed as the kid ran off, leading the chase through the village paths. 

With every passing step, the kid seemed to grow a bit faster, almost losing the ninja a few times until he finally cornered himself, staring back at the group with rage. “I’ve done nothing! Just let me go and-”

Patton threw a shuriken near the kid’s feet and smiled as he was incased in ice from the neck down. “And you’re under arrest.” 

The kid was silent as the four dragged him and his icy prison to jail and stayed that way even as he was put in a cell, almost seeming unbothered by the situation. 

“I knew that would be easy!” Patton cheered as they walked back towards their monastery, spinning his shurikens in his hands. 

“Well, yeah, it was just some kid who thought it’d be smart to celebrate Halloween early,” Virgil sneered, rolling his eyes. 

“An enemy is an enemy,” Roman pointed out as they entered the monastery. 

“And what did you learn from this enemy?” Thomas asked, waiting behind the entrance. 

Logan shrugged. “It was a minor threat, as we thought. Just a kid who wanted to scare some people.” 

“He was probably trying to scare himself some free pizza,” Roman added. “He said something about wanting food before he saw us.” 

Thomas furrowed his eyebrows. “Sounds a bit odd. What else did he say?”

Logan shrugged. “As most trouble makers in his situation would, he asked to be let go.”

“Hm.. Well... It sounds like he shouldn’t be a problem anymore. I guess that’s what matters,” Thomas said as he lead the four back inside. “For now, it’s back to training.”

And train they did, but there was a thought looming in the back of all of their minds as the day went on and even as it came to a close. 

What did that kid really want? 

The next morning could not have come fast enough, Patton being the first two awake to cook. He hummed along to his music as he stirred the pancake batter, figuring it was okay for his team to have a treat of blueberry pancakes after their small victory the day before. Patton made quick work of pouring the batter and serving them onto plates, giving everyone more than enough so they could keep up their strength for the day. As he plated the last ones, though, his music was interrupted by some news. 

“We interrupt this broadcast with an emergency message. A prisoner captured yesterday in Edis Village has escaped and is nowhere to be found. The suspect was last seen wearing a yellow shirt, black pants, and with scales painted over half of his face. Anybody who sees this young man should take great caution and call the police station immediately.”

“Guys!” Patton yelled as he ran over to their large, shared bedroom. “Guys, wake up! That kid from yesterday escaped!” He rummaged through his clothes and pulled out his ninja uniform, quickly changing. 

“We put him in prison, Patton, how could he have escaped?” Roman muttered. 

“Yeah, someone probably just saw something that looked like him or whatever,” Virgil added, pulling his pillow over his head. 

“No, they described exactly him! They said he escaped from his prison cell!”

Confused, but alert, the other three jumped out of bed and got dressed, following Patton back down to the village and running towards what sounded like screams. 

When they reached its source, they did indeed find the kid from before running out of a shop with a sack over his back. 

“Hey, stop!” Roman cried out as he and Virgil began the chase, Patton and Logan staying behind to find out what happened. 

“He just came in and started loading his bag with food,” the shopkeeper told them. “Then he reached into his pockets, he must have had some sort of weapon on him!” 

“We’ll make sure you get paid for everything he took,” Patton promised with an ironically warm smile. 

“I don’t care about that.. I’m just glad nobody was hurt.”  

Roman and Virgil chased the kid out of the village into the nearby woods, wanting to get him away from the people, but also wanting to get back whatever he stole. But as dense as those trees were, it wasn’t long before they both lost sight of him, even with how much the yellow stood out against the trees. 

“Did you see where he turned?” Roman asked as he slowed to a stop. 

“No.. Dang it! We almost had him, too,” Virgil said, dropping his arms and his scythe to his sides. 

“At least he’s out of town.. Hopefully, he won’t be terrorizing anybody anymore, knowing that we’re around.”

“Hopefully..” Virgil muttered as the two began the trek back to the village. 

Far above their heads, a certain teenager pulled an apple from his bag, moaning as the taste hit his tongue. He couldn’t remember the last time he ate something so sweet and he knew it’d probably be the last time before he’d have something like that again, but he did have a long day. And, after pulling those cell bars open, he had to regain his strength somehow. At least he got to keep his money.

She was given accolades and taught all the lovely things of the world– literature, poetry, music, theater. She was educated in the highest manner, too, with great levels of mathematics and philosophy. She lived as all would dream to.

However, Vania found herself continuously restless. Despite all the opportunity availed to her, she found herself awash in boredom. Life had no meaning; she could not leave Shintaro, no matter how she wished. She was a princess, shut away– forced to live in beauty, yet hidden from all the smaller things in life. Even her people's gift of flight was denied to her, for fear that she might hurt herself. She only had access to her wings when she was allowed, and never freely.

Vania dreamed of freedom and of open skies, but most of all, of adventure. When she was a child, she asked her father if she would be allowed to leave Shintaro one day.

"My child," the king answered, "one day in the future, when it is possible to assure that you will always be safe no matter how far you go, you may explore to your heart's content, but not today. You are not old enough, yet."

Such was his continual answer: "someday when you are older, but not today."

When Vania was seven years old, she snuck out of her bedroom late at night. It was the night before her eighth birthday, and she was unable to sleep. She took her dolls and toys into the throne room of the castle to play in the moonlight, pretending to be queen.

As she played, she did not see a dark-skinned creature approach her. It touched her shoulder, and she cried out in fear. When she turned, she saw it running away to behind a column, where she could not see it. After a minute, it peeked its head out, looking to see if the coast was clear. Vania was frozen.

After a few minutes, she approached the creature. "Hello?" The creature shied away, and she pressed, "who are you?"

It stepped out into view, showing off its short stature and purple skin. Its ears were pointy, like Vania's, but they were tilted back and already pierced. It wore simple, ragged clothing.

"I am Gleck."

"Hello, Gleck," Vania said. "I am Vania."

"Hello," it said. It fidgeted with a locket necklace that it wore.

"Are you okay?" Vania asked the creature, and it nodded. "Why are you here? Do you not have a home?"

The creature shook its head. "I have a home, but we are forbidden from coming up to the surface." It shied away again, like it wanted to run.

"To the surface? Do you live underground?" Vania asked it.

"Yes. You live on the surface?"

"Yes." Vania hugged her doll tightly to herself. "It's my birthday."

"What is a birthday?" Gleck asked.

"I was born today."

"You do not look like a baby."

Vania laughed. "No, I was born today, eight years ago."

Gleck paused. "I was also born eight years ago, but I don't know the day." He seemed to relax.

"You don't know your birthday?" He shook his head, and Vania frowned. "That sounds awful."

"We do not have 'birthdays,'" Gleck said.

"Do you want to share?" Vania asked. She held out her doll. "Today can be your birthday, too."

Gleck took the doll hesitantly. "Is it a good thing?"

"Yes!" Vania said. "It is good."

"...Okay." Gleck smiled. "Today can be my birthday, too."

Vania and Gleck played for a while that night, until the sun came peeking over the horizon. He disappeared from the Castle, and Vania did not see him for several days. When he next appeared, they played again, and for several years they made a habit of it. However, it did not last.

One fateful night, Gleck came to visit Vania in her room. However, not more than a few minutes later, her father's knock came at the door, and he entered and saw Gleck.

When King Vangelis saw the creature, he was full of rage. He cast the creature out of the castle, telling him never to return. Vania was likewise told never to speak to him again, if he ever came back. A new guard named Hailmar was posted at her door, and she was unable to ever leave at night again. She and Gleck were separated on that day, and she lost her closest friend forever. As the winter snows began to fall, loneliness was not far behind.

Over the years, Vania's restrictions became ever tighter. She left the castle less and less, always being told that it was not safe outside Shintaro. Her father became distant, being wrapped up in work and obligations. The seasons turned, and even the pure white snow that fell on the city did not bring her comfort, like it had before.

One of the few shining lights in Vania's life was her personal guard, Hailmar. He was a young man, with ivory skin like all Shintarans (although less so than Vania) and rich brown hair that showed itself when he rarely took off his helmet. Hailmar made himself Vania's friend, and as she grew up, he took care of her needs and protected her. Many a time, he would play her games with her, and he would tell stories about the outside world.

Vania's favorite of Hailmar's stories was one he told her about the outside world: Ninjago. He spoke of an order of ancient knights, ninja, and samurai, trained in their respective arts. They were Ninjago's protectors for centuries, guarding the people from evils of all manners. Some of them rode dragons, or harnessed the powers of the elements, but all were honorable and lovers of peace. However, their order was lost a long time ago, and memory of them was slipping away as they became legend.

Vania adored hearing about the knights. When she would play with her dolls, she would pretend that they were these protectors, and she told and retold herself their stories. As she grew older, her dreams of them shifted from faraway protectors to adventurers, and she dreamed of going on one. She would meet a knight who would sweep her off her feet, and together they would ride a dragon to unknown worlds, full of adventure and danger.

One day when she was sixteen, Vania asked her father again when she might be able to leave Shintaro and visit Ninjago. Unbeknownst to her, that day her father had flown into a terrible rage after receiving unfavorable news, and he assailed her with it, speaking terrible things. He shouted and lectured, telling her about how she was ungrateful for everything he provided for her. He sent her to her room, stationing Hailmar outside with the express orders not to let her leave for any reason until he came back.

Vania cried for hours in her room, unable to compose herself. Her father, never before treating her this way, had shocked her, and she was unable to cope.

After she regained her composure and reconstituted herself, it was evening. However, suppertime came and went, and she was left undisturbed. She asked Hailmar when supper might be, and he answered that he had orders not to let her out until her father came back. She went to bed hungry that night.

When morning came the next day, Vania was still undisturbed. The day passed with her remaining inside her bedroom. At some point, another person had come to her door, and she burst out hoping it was her father, but it was only Hailmar being relieved of duty by another guard, betraying her loneliness for his own needs. She excused herself back to her room, and it for many hours she waited for Hailmar to return, eventually falling asleep to fitful dreams.

Vania awoke in the middle of the night to being shaken. She saw Hailmar, standing above her with a bag.

"Your Highness, you must wake up!"

"Hailmar?" Vania asked. "It is the middle of the night. Has my father returned?"

"No," he said. "Your father has shut himself in his room for all but meals, saying you are unwell. He intends only to return when he receives news that you have begged for forgiveness, to teach you a lesson. You must leave."

Vania got up, filled with dread. "What? My father would not do that."

"He already is, Highness." Hailmar gave her the bag. "Dress yourself in your most practical clothes, and prepare yourself. You must leave the castle."

"Where will I go?" she asked. "I know nothing about Shintaro, or Ninjago for that matter!"

"You will find somewhere, I am sure. Be swift." Hailmar put the bag on her bed and left the room, taking the post in front of her door.

Vania dressed herself quickly, her mind racing. She looked in the bag to see some travel essentials; a knife, rope, a blanket, a torch, and food and water enough for several days. Once she was ready, she came out to see Hailmar.

"Am I to eat this food now?" she asked.

"No," he said. "We will take a detour through the kitchens, and then will go out through the gardens. There is a side door there, near the mines' grate."

After Vania had eaten her fill, he escorted her to the gardens. After saying farewell, Hailmar went back to take his position in front of her bedroom door. He would trick her father, telling him that she had run away in the night. Meanwhile, she would be safely away where he could not find her.

Vania looked between the door and the grate. Where would she go? She had met Gleck all those years ago, and although everyone told her that she had imagined him she knew that he was real. On the other hand, she could go into the city, and look for a compassionate family to keep her safe. She could also leave Shintaro for Ninjago, and see if she could find the knights the stories spoke of if they were real. However, nothing seemed as familiar as Gleck, and she had missed him sorely for years…

After a few minutes of deliberation, she stepped to the grate. It came off with a little bit of tugging, and once it gave way she snuck into the tunnels below the castle.

The tunnels were cold, seeping into Vania's bones. The darkness was immense, lit only by the torch she carried. Moisture dripped from the ceiling, and the rocks cast menacing shadows, but she continued on. Eventually, she came to a great cavern, lit by stalactites that were covered in bioluminscent moss. Ladders were leaning against them, and small purple creatures were scraping the moss into buckets. They chattered amongst themselves, until one of them spotted Vania and fell off his ladder. She gasped.

"Are you okay?"

The creature stared at her and pointed. "A Shintaran! They have invaded the caves!"

"No!" she protested. "I'm not here to hurt you!" She watched it get up. "I know what you are."

"You do, do you?" another asked. "You know of the Geckles? What kind of Shintaran are you?"

"I used to know one of you," she said. "His name was Gleck."

The creatures muttered amongst themselves, and one of them came up to her. "Who are you?"

"Prin- Vania. My name is Vania."

"Very well, Vania," it said. "I am Grendle. We will take you to the Geckle Parliament so you may state your business… unless you are one of the Munce?"

"What's a Munce?" Vania asked. The creatures began muttering again, but Grendle held up his hand.

"Silence!" He turned to Vania. "Very well. Come with us."

Vania followed Grendle and the other Geckles through the caverns. The air became colder and colder, and she shivered. Eventually, they came to a great pair of doors, which towered over all of them. Vania stared up at them, and she felt small, already regretting leaving home for this cold, unwelcoming world.

Grendle knocked on the doors. "A stranger has come into the caverns and must come before the Parliament!" he cried.

"Bring him in!" another voice called from inside.

The doors creaked open, and the other two Geckles took Vania's arms, pulling her inside. Once she entered, doors slammed shut behind them.
