sometimes I’ll be singing the last part of Non-Stop and think “yea I can totally sing 4 parts at once” and then immediately fail to figure out what the hell I’m doing

orv hsy animatic (non-stop!)
just realized that I don't know how tumblr reblogs work so hey!! I made an animatic from this random thought I had (someone reblogged saying Non-Stop was very HSY and I spiralled)
youtube
it's like 50 seconds long and I was delirious through making the entire thing (all planning, drawing and editing was done in one sitting so. you can imagine it isn't very polished lmao)

I have so much to say and it’s not fair bc Lin Manuel Miranda already said it all and dropped the wildest and most accurate thing about writing and it’s in fucking Hamilton the musical. How do you write like you're running out of time? Write day and night like you're running out of time? Every day you fight, like you're running out of time, like you’re running out of time, are you running out of time? How do you write like tomorrow won't arrive? How do you write like you need it to survive? How do you write every second you're alive? Every second you're alive? Every second you're alive? Man dropped the most relatable thing in the history of existence and it’s about one of the goddamn founding fathers. Unfair.

Luke and I just got done watching “The Black Phone” and, it was so intense.
It’s a good movie, with a simple concept that works really well, but it is intense.
Like it’s none stop, you don’t get a break at any point, at least that’s how I felt.
If it’s not the gabber, then it’s the ghost, and if it’s not the ghost, then it’s the investigation, and if it’s not the investigation then it’s Finney trying to stay alive, and if it’s not that then it’s something else entirely all while the phone that gives the movie it’s namesake rings in the background.
So just a warning, like I said before it’s intense for many, many reasons, and it doesn’t slow down until the very end.

Books ordered from this year’s annual national book sale that we have in Sweden every year:
A kid’s book for my second youngest nephew that should be just right for him now that he’s learning to read
A book on yoga
Atomic Habits
A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik
Non-stop, by Brian Aldiss
The ocean at the end of the lane by Neil Gaiman
The word for World is Forest by Ursula K. Leguin
Järnulven (The Iron Wolf) by Siri Petterson
And once the sale actually starts in the shops, I’m picking up a collection of short stories from Edgar Allan Poe.

For the top 3 ask game: 28!
28: Top 3 songs from musicals
HEATHERS. THE ENTIRE SOUNDTRACK. Seriously! But since I can only pick one, I'm gonna go with Dead Girl Walking. I fell in love with it immediately, the instrumental slaps and the vocals are done super well!
I'm going to have to go with Non-Stop or Room Where It Happens for my second one. I love both of them equally. I really love the overlapping in Non-Stop, but the tone shifting, vocals, and instrumental in Room Where It Happens are all SO GOOD!
For my third one, I'm going with Cell-Block Tango. I've never seen the original musical, but each woman plays their part so well, I can't help but fall in love with the song! And honestly, now that I think about it, it kinda fits JD... "It was a murder, but not a crime!"
