Reverse lost joltic idea: emmet fretting and sticking up lost posters and encounters one that just says is this your joltik? and its a picture of his little joltik in a new silly hat then underneath it says not any more :D then underneath that it says call XXX to discuss child support payments
I honestly found this idea so cute.
-
-
Emmet is panicking.
Just several weeks ago, he hatched a few beautiful joltiks. He named them all, gave them their own ribbons, and spoiled them all rotten.
Until one went missing.
He isn’t sure when, but we he came home from work and said hello to all his baby Pokémon, he noticed it.
A light pink ribbon was missing from his bunch.
Emmet calls Ingo frantically, asking his twin if he has peaches.
He nearly weeps when his brother says he hasn’t.
He tried to calm down, his joltiks have done this before, they’ll just show back up in a day or two! Yeah, yeah he just has to wait.
Emmet is not a patient man.
By the next day he already had fliers printed, fully ready to post them and hang them everywhere he could.
But it seems someone beat him to it.
In his hand is a flier that he didn’t put up, of his missing joltik, who looks safe and happy. Her ribbon still on, but with the addition of a small flower barrette
‘This your joltik? Not anymore! Please call xxx-xxx-xxxx to discuss child support and shared custody.’
- y/n’
He wants to laugh, he wants to cry, he’s relived his baby is okay, and that this had to be the funniest way he finds out.
Emmet doesn’t hesitate reaching for his phone, and punching in the number.
“Hello?”
“I am Emmet! You have my joltik, peaches!”
“Oh so you’re the dad to this little cutie.”
He can hear the cooing in your voice, and a quiet squeaky sound. You chuckle at his audible sigh, sounding like a weight was lifted from his shoulders.
“She’s doing just fine, she’s been nothing but a sweetheart. She was so scared when I found her, obviously I knew she had to belong to someone.”
“Thank you, I’ve been worried sick!”
“If you’d like we can meet up at a café and discuss split custody there.”
You were serious? He knew his joltiks were the cutest, and sweetest! But he won’t mind.
Knowing his pokéchild, she must’ve gotten attached to you, as much as you to her.
Emmet is quick to agree, wanting to see his Pokémon again and make sure she’s truly okay.
He was there within ten minutes.
Sitting by the window, to try and look out for anyone with a ribbon having joltik.
He was still in his uniform, so he hopes that’ll give him away.
He doesn’t know how he missed you, but you walked right up to his table. Peaches the joltik riding happily on your shoulder.
You coo as you sit down, watching said Pokémon jump off your shoulder and right to her original trainer.
“I found her about a block or two away from the subway station.” You started.
Catching his attention. Emmet looks away from peaches, and to you.
“She looks so nervous and scared, I couldn’t just leave her there. Her ribbon told me she had to belong to someone around here, she’s too friendly and trusting not to.”
He only nods along as he pets the small spider.
“So that’s why I have to ask if you’d be okay sharing her. She’s awfully cute, and the sweetest little tv buddy.”
Emmet was debating, or, he was.
Until peaches jumped from him and back to you, nuzzling against your hand.
How could he deprive his child of that?
“I work weekdays. We can meet at a park to switch.”
You smile so brightly at him.
“Thank you! You’re much too kind.”
You held you hand out and introduced yourself.
Emmet’s own warm hand reached out and shooks yours.
-
He wasn’t aware just how long ago that was.
How could he have ever known losing one of his joltiks, would’ve landed him the love of his life?
He looks over to your sleeping form on the couch.
Little peaches, now a galvantula, laying on top of you, sleeping with you.
You must’ve been trying to stay up for him again.
He’s truly so lucky.

Ingo and Emmet with Platonic! Teenager.
Ingo and Emmet would simultaneously be great daduncles and the worst daduncles. While they won’t adopt every kid that comes through their lines, they are quite good with them. Their enthusiasm for battle and Emmet’s emphasis on the perfect battle combinations makes for very interesting conversations. Ingo, while intimidating, lends a good ear and has a fatherly air to him that both attracts and repels teenagers and children.
If you become close to them, either through being part of the battle subway or constant communication on your commute, there is a moment of panic with the twins as they realise oh dragons.
If you don’t have any other father or uncle figures in your life it becomes OH DRAGONS. Be prepared for immense fatherly (uncley ?) energy chugging towards you at mach speeds.
Ingo and Emmet are actually quite strict, they are subway bosses after all! Safety checks are very important! Emmet may give you random snacks though, and Ingo is actually quite gentle in scolding. Unless you really were in some sort of danger, then you get two people scolding you at once, they were worried for you. Ingo is checking for any wounds while Emmet is reciting safety rules for you. They definitely care a lot about you though, and they are a lot of fun, they battle and they joke with you and teach you a lot about pokemon, trains and battling. They listen to most teenagers and kids as if they are speaking to another adult, your opinion is verrrry important to them, even if they might not agree with it.
Now here comes the Hisui! Angst warning!
If You were taken
————
Well Emmet is going nuts, he’s posting posters of you and Ingo everywhere, desperately trying to find you two. Just when their family had been growing, they were all taken away from him. He resolves to find the both of you. Perhaps he even finds mentions of another mother, several regions away, who has lost their child mysteriously around the same time. Who knows?
Ingo remembers you, vaguely, like the grinning twin in his mind. The main difference is that you are here, in the flesh. Being next to you feels natural, and helps bring back more flashes of a time long past, and maybe he gains more memories as the time goes by.  Ingo in particular is a hulking papa-bear, giving advice for battling and in life in general. When you are cast out, Ingo glares at the offenders with sharp silver eyes. You lean on each other as you try to navigate this strange world.
If You weren’t taken
————
You’re likely just as distraught as Emmet is, he does his best to be brave for you, but if you feel inclined to, he might also cry with you, missing Ingo. He’ll be stressed and maybe even short with you, and very protective. He doesn’t want to lose you too. Any help, emotionally or participating in the search, would be very helpful. You might even pull him towards a familiar picture on the internet, depicting a man in a black jacket and frowning face.
Ingo meanwhile feels lost and alone, he gains comfort by taking care of the younger members of Pearl Clan, he remembers brief scoldings of “safety” when he’s with Rei or Akari, and many teenagers like them seem to find much comfort in Ingo. But also…something is missing. What? He resolves to find out.
Reunion
Either way, the reunion is heartfelt, sweet and bitter. So much loud ugly crying.

I Am Emmet
I am Emmet. I am a Subway Boss. I like Double Battles. I like combinations of two Pokémon. And I like winning more than anything else.
As many of you know, my twin brother Ingo, has been missing for about ten months now. You can find his missing poster here. I miss him verrrrry much so any help is appreciated.
Thank you.
Tumblr media
Ooc: omg. Emmet is my absolute favorite character right now and the trainrot has been hitting hard since I played PLA.
This is mainly an ask blog and I'm trying my best to keep him in character but I'm not sure if I'll do great at it. This is mainly for fun. This is set after the whatever-the-fuck that happened to cause Ingo to show up in PLA so... Emmet isn't doing too well. There really won't be a clear story line involved and it's really just an excuse for me to torture my blorbo.
Muppet playlist here
Peliper Mail/Unmail/Malice, Musharna Mail (gimmie all the Marshuna, PLEASE), and most other asks are a-ok. Please torment him, I beg of thee.
Spam likes are fine I guess but please, maybe send an ask in there somewhere?
Emmet is about 23-24 here but still please no suggestive asks. The Nimbasa Trio are a sibling dynamic in my eyes and I don't really ship him with anyone. This is really just a dude trying to find his twin.
Blanket unreality warning and warnings for the potential to get kinda dark as Emmet's mental health is about as low as it's ever been.
Anything written like this is in his head
Also, I has anxiety and I tend to think I'm funnier than I am.
New blog: @iam-emmet. This is the RP (Shitpost) blog, he's allowed to move on from the constant state of 'hello darkness my old friend' this one is stuck in. Go talk to him if you actually want to see him potentially find his twin - shitpost blog now has plot!? Yup! He's now possessed by Pecharunt. Rip Emmet.
Ooc blog: @comet-the-frog

POV: You are Ingo in the ageswap AU. You and Akari made the decision to return to your homes without first fixing your other situation- neither of you knew if you’d get a second chance, so you both decided to take it and just try and look for a solution once you returned home. Unfortunately, Arceus’ aim remains impeccable, and you wake up on Twist Mountain instead of Nimbasa City, which you are pretty sure is your home. Your memories are still shaky, but they’re much better than they once were.
Well, there’s not much you can do about where you landed! You decide to make the journey on foot. It’s rather nice, being able to travel like this without having to constantly look over your shoulder for Alphas (which are so much bigger now that you are a full foot smaller). People who pass you just assume you’re another trainer on their Pokemon journey and it’s less complicated if you don’t refute them. Sometimes you see missing posters of your adult face, but nobody’s expecting you to return over ten years younger, so they don’t really make the connection.
It does make you nostalgic for your own Pokemon journey though, and helps to better jog your memory! It’s helping your Hisui Pokemon adjust to this new world too, including the pair of Sneasels that Lady Sneasler would not let you leave without. You make it to Nimbasa City without an issue, but you abruptly realize that for all the memories that have returned to you... you kind of don’t actually remember where you live.
That’s okay though! You remember where you worked! And where your brother works! Who you have remembered now! You make a beeline for Gear Station, and halfway though, a terrible idea creeps into your head. Unfortunately, you are now 15 years old and while mentally you are mostly the same, it does... periodically affect you. But it’s only when the Gear Station staff you meet don’t recognize you that you decide to go through with it.
You board the Doubles Line.
(You are Emmet. Your next challenger has just stepped through the door. They’re wearing a verrry odd tunic with a symbol you don’t recognize, and a tattered hat that you do. You are certain that if they took the tattered jacket from around their waist, you would recognize that too. They resemble your missing brother very strongly, but they are too young.)
(You are Emmet. That was your missing brother after all. You will now proceed to spend the rest of his second adolescence teasing him about it as much as possible. That is known as karma.)

AU of the Submas Wanted AU Idea: Double Down.
Following the egg incident and the clearing of Ingo and Akari’s names but during the period they still hiding in the wilderness, people start leaving gifts as bait to draw out the framed ferals as usual.
This is where it starts to deviate.
Some on the researchers escaped arrest when the truth was revealed, and to get some sick revenge they start trapping the gifts they find.
Poison, various blades in the food, net launchers, etc.
This is after Ingo and Akari have already started finding these gifts, still skeptical of them being traps.
One of them turns out to be a bomb, which the pair are saved from by Lady Sneasler. It causes them to no longer trust the gifts, and instead causing them to flee deeper into the wilds to try and escape their non-existent pursuers.
Eventually one of the police catches one of the vengeful researchers in the act, and is arrest accordingly.
Word begins to spread of people trapping the gifts. Some stop setting them out in fear of them getting trapped, others try and slightly hide them in an effort to still help, giving the opposite effect. Emmet and Elesa and the others trying to try and draw them back out are panicking and the New Galaxy Team are out for blood.
The wanted posters are switched out for missing posters, an even higher bounty than before.
The cops start patrolling the areas the gifts are planted to try and catch the researchers in the act or simply apologize to the pair. The gym leaders, Cynthia, New Galaxy, Interpol with Looker, the Pokémon Rangers, Bounty Hunters, companions the pair me on the run, and various Sinnoh search and rescue teams (who have scarcely similar uniforms to the police) are desperately trying to find and save them.
The media is in a voracious inferno of panic, theorizing, and searching.
Of course this doesn’t exactly help with their paranoia, causing them to think the initial chase was weaker due to a lack of attention, and that now they have almost the entire region out for them.
They start hiding in more and more remote locations in an attempt to escape those they think are after them.
It eventually makes it to a final confrontation on Spear Pillar, the last place they can hide and the last place in Sinnoh that people haven’t looked.
I’ll let you finish the rest.
(This AU is amazing. I read this thing top to bottom and I am HOOKED.)
Thank you so much!!
Alright, so I’m finally chipping away at writing the beginning, so I haven’t had too much time to focus around this area of the plot, but there is a solid week or so between when the Eggs are attempted to be stolen from them and when little baby Peanut hatches too early. And in that Time frame there is a tornado of spin going on in the media on what exactly happened to the eggs/in that confrontation.
Just because some members of the research lab attempted to steal the eggs and put them in jeopardy doesn’t mean the entire lab is to blame for a few bad apples. They’ll claim that those particular employees were not even properly trained to handle pokemon eggs, but took the chance to rescue them anyway against higher-ups recommendation.
So, while the lab has lost some face in that whole debacle, it won’t be enough to damn them completely to the public who are not as invested. It won’t be until after Ingo risks absolutely everything to save a premature tiny baby that they truly start to loose the public favor. More people start sympathizing with Ingo and trying to see his side of the story which leads to them finding the holes in the labs.
Also, until such time that Ingo and Akari are properly brought in and questioned by the cops their names will not be in the clear. There are too many questions surrounding them for them. They may have the peoples growing support, but the cops are determined to bring them in and get their answers. Remember, Belladonna has been weaseling her way into the Police pockets much like Cyrus most likely did.
And like, booby trapped shit like that is definitely one of the methods from contracted thugs Belladonna called in. There are two methods of attack the Lab is doing, the public attack of character along with sending out their own staff, like Mint, to help in the search and rescue, and the behind the scenes attacks of hired criminals who are using underhanded methods to track down Ingo and Akari , lead by the enforcer Bash.
The former are lab assistants and office workers in lab coats and ties, sending out lower level pokemon, with Mint being the recurring battler who refuses to give up. The latter are the more darkly dressed aggressive challengers with higher level pokemon and do not identify themselves as part of the lab. They just come off as another group of people who are trying to steal the Pokémon.
So, Spear Pillar might be where they start when they arrive in the future. So them going back to it to get away from the folks chasing them would be a good idea. And a big confrontation there would be a great idea too, really would make it feel like for them no place is safe.
So what I’m doing right now, aside from writing the beginning, is trying to get every plot point that I currently written down in a clear order. Spear Pillar in a great addition, but when it takes place is the question.
It could be the place they run to before the lab folks ambush them and the eggs are stolen. It then becomes a mad dash down the mountain to take them back. That once sacred place being where the eggs were stollen would really hurt Ingo and Akari’s sense of security.
I’m still figuring it out though, so this idea might change!

Old man Emmet
Two parts of a whole, that's what they were always together. Emmet smiles sadly at the rotting missing poster of the man who shares his face. Ingo vanished years ago, and he hasn't said a word since. Drayden is retiring today, and Emmet is taking over the gym he long gave up on the subway. His pokemon have been trained to understand him without words making him the hardest opponent around.
He crumpled up the rotting poster and tossed it in the trash. There was no use for these now he's been declared dead years ago now. He walked calmly and emotionlessly to the gym he was taking over. He has put his emotions into exercising and battling; he had no more tears to cry anymore.
He nodded at the trainers at the entrance and walked inside his first day as gym leader. There was already a line out the gate and he was ready. He was the first gym leader in Unova to not have a type which meant everyone wanted to try to battle him. He didn't mind that he was ready. He prepares himself at the top of the gym and waits for battles to arrive.
…..
Drayden yawned, taking care of his pokemon, letting them play in the hose as he watered his plants. Emmet didn't want him at the grand opening of his gym now. He understood why his body can't handle those stairs anymore. He had two knee replacements in the past year and he could barely keep himself upright on bad days. The elevator at the gym was still out of service due to a stray hyperbeam and the entire thing being welded shut.
He sighs and sits down on the bench outside. He was nearing 80 now and he was fine with that, he wanted to grow old with his sister but he never got that chance. He wanted kids of his own but he got his sisters and loved them all the same. He didn't have regrets, he was happy. The one thing he wished to hear before he died is Emmet laugh again, but that was almost an impossible ask.
He smiles watching his Haxorus sit next to him growling happily then she goes still and alert. Smoke poured from her mouth as she rapidly looked around.
"Easy girl, I'm fine, everyone is fine." Drayden reaches out then hears several people running up to his fence shouting.
"Your so- Emmet, Emmet collapsed at the gym he's being rushed to the hospital." The gym trainer was panting as the others rushed over.
"His pokemon refuses to leave his side."
"There was a flash and then the electricity went out."
"We'll take you to the hospital."
Draydens eyes widen as he forces himself up. "Stand down please Emmet is hurt we have to be with him." His Haxorus Berty stands down and lets Drayden use her as balance. "Tell me exactly what happened and one at a time."
"Well uh, there was a bright flash and then Emmet was on the ground. The building shook and we almost got hit by falling debris." He sighs and finally catches his breath. "I don't know what caused it, the battle was over, and the ground was scorched in a weird pattern like something you would see in a museum."
Drayden nods. "Alright I've heard enough, take me to my kid." He allows the gym trainer to get his wheelchair to take him to the hospital.
……
The hospital was abuzz with commotion, and it only got worse when Drayden came in, he was attacked by the same light and the trainer helping him get third degree burns on his hands. Nobody knew what was going on and the hospital was flooded with news reporters and gym leaders guarding the rooms while they were put into emergency care.
The hospital suddenly grew silent as the click of heels along the tiled floors were slowly going along. Elesa never lost her beauty to age; it only got better as she got older. "That's enough I will not have this hospital become a circus." She sighs and crosses her arms. "The international police have been informed and my investigative team is personally looking into this odd occurrence. My gym will be outfitted with counseling services for everyone who witnessed the events that have taken place." She ignores the flash of cameras and questions as she walks deeper into the hospital.
Elesa left modeling to become a detective, and she thrived in that, she never gave up her gym, she only got stronger for it. She sighs as a doctor approaches her.
"Ma'am they are both in an unknown condition. Nobody has been able to enter their rooms since they arrived and the doctors and nurses by their side were kicked out." The doctor frowns nervously chewing on their pen.
"I see, have we ruled out legendary pokemon yet?"
"Not yet ma'am, but we know this isn't a resurgence of Plasma again."
"That's good, show me to their rooms. I wish to wait for them."
"Of course ma'am."
…..
Emmet wakes up, and he just stares at the hospital ceiling. He remembers the battle, then he was struck by something and now he was here. His body felt sore, but not in the usual aches and pains that come with growing older. He sits up and sighs he wasn't hooked up to anything and seeing himself in the mirror he wasn't any different, still had the beard wrinkles and everything. His pokemon were in their balls in the corner of the room which he promptly picked up and sighs again opening the door expecting a huge crowd of people trying to ask questions but he was met with Elesa.
"Emmet you're ok, what the fuck happened." Elesa frowns seeing Emmet shrug. "Alright so I'm guessing an incident with legendary pokemon, and that's ok they do what they want we just need to figure out what they did."
Emmet nods and points to the room next to the one he came out of.
"Oh your uncle was hit with the same thing." Elese smiles softly and holds Emmet's hand. "He's fine, he woke up before you and is just getting a checkup from the doctors they said he is very healthy for his age, also his pokemon have been causing a ruckus looking for him so could you come calm them down."
Emmet smiles and nods following Elesa to the rec center of the hospital for pokemon. Drayden's dragons swarmed Emmet and relaxed when he waved that he was fine. Emmet released his pokemon and they relaxed letting Emmet sit by Elesa on the bench.
"Do you have any idea what happened, or at least a guess on which legend did anything." Elesa sighs. "Maybe the twin dragons want you back."
Emmet rolls his eyes and shakes his head. He starts to sign. "I think the legends are bored and want to cause panic."
"Emmet you don't have to be so morbid, I think Volo rubbed off on you before he passed." Elesa sighs.
Emmet sighs, Volo isn't a name he has heard in a long time. He finally got his curse removed and that meant he would die which he did, but they loved each other even towards the end. He pauses before he starts signing. "If it's Arecus I'm going to punch them in the face."
Elesa laughs. "Of course I wouldn't expect anything less from you." She pats his shoulder. "Apologies for not coming to your first day at your new gym."
Emmet shook his head and started to sign. "I think it's karma for me not coming to you being sworn in as the head detective." He smiles softly. "Your card was enough."
"Emmet, thank you." Elesa sighs. "You know if Ingo was here I think he would be more scared of modern technology, then random acts of legendaries."
Emmet gives a silent laugh. The topic of Ingo has long been a safe subject. Emmet has accepted his death, and where he was supposedly which was fine. He was fine with it, he got over his fighting Arecus phase and helped the love of his life and moved on. He smiled again like he once did when they were young. "Thanks for sticking with me."
"Oh Emmet you couldn't pay me to stay away from you." Elesa smiles. "Friends through thick and thin, why you were my best man at my wedding for a reason." She holds Emmet's hand, stopping a response. "But seriously, Emmet, we need to find out what is going on before a panic erupts, it hasn't even been 2 years since Plasma resurfaced and destroyed the dragon spiral temple. We aren't as young and spry as we once were. Take no prisoners."
Emmet takes back his hand and nods, starting to sign again. "I don't have the mercy I once had as a young man. I will be your weapon as long as you need my friend." He smiles but it doesn't reach his eye. "Drayden was crushed when the tower fell. I will not let him have any more heartbreak."
Elesa nods. "Good I'll catch you up to speed, and you'll have free time as the gym gets fixed as well."
Emmet nods.
…….
Elesa was hit with the light as well, she however refused to go to the doctor. Emmet clicked his tongue, one of the few and only sounds he made from his mouth now. He turned to look at Drayden who was staring at him.
"Are you sure you have to go to Sinnoh?" He sighs holding on to his cane with a dragon carved on top.
Emmet nods and starts to sign, he knew Drayden even in his advanced age could read his signs better than anyone. "Cynthia was hit, and she requested us personally after the incident with Volo. She wants us to travel to Mount Cornet with her to Spear Pillar to see if the three legends are involved."
Drayden sighs. "I have a bad feeling about this Emmet. You better come back alive. I refuse to outlive my entire blood family." He narrows his eyes at Emmet. "Don't give me that look I've outlived my parents sister, and your brother, don't do something stupid Emmet."
Emmet nods and pauses before signing again. "I will be safe and if needed I will fight to get out of any situation. Dad don't worry I won't let that happen I'll be home feeding you soup soon enough."
Drayden laughs. "Don't patronize me kid, I may be old but I can still feed myself you brat." He ruffled Emmet's hair; it was longer and in a small ponytail. "Just be careful, and say hi to Volo for me."
Emmet nods, Volo's grave was in Sinnoh per his request, and Emmet understood he wanted to be buried in the same land as his son was. He respected Volo for it even, and when he dies he will be buried there too since that is where Ingo took his final breaths in the distant past. Emmet clicked his tongue again, and stared at Drayden. "We'll be back in a week if everything is uneventful."
"That's a big if, Emmet. We both know Sinnoh is anything but normal." Drayden sighs and looks out the window. "I expect a video chat everyday, even if it's to sign hi and bye in a minute. Also don't use violence if you can help it Emmet I don't need to worry about others." He gave a soft smirk catching Emmet's smile softly.
"I will be on my best behavior." Emmet signs. "I will fight when it's needed."
Drayden nods. "That's all I ask. Now if you need me I will be getting Bing from trying to eat the statues outside." Bing was his flygon and his new habit was eating rocks which is normal for a flygon. It helped sharpen their teeth and helped with digestion. He just went after bigger things than he could chew.
Emmet gave a thumbs up and headed to his room to pack.
……
Emmet yawned again leaning on a pillar waiting for Arceus to appear. Cynthia still looked amazing even after all these years, she's more muscular and her hair is short. Her brother Cyrus has become a professor and married professor Willow. He knew his first name but that professor didn't like to go by it and said it reminded him of home and he didn't like that. Emmet knew how that felt so he never did push. He watched Cynthia and professor Willow try the summoning again, Cyrus sat off to the side, his hair pulled into a tight ponytail as the front stood up like it always did when he was younger. Emmet sighs again tapping his foot.
"Don't be so impatient Emmet." Elesa sighs. "The legends go on their own time as you know."
Emmet rolls his eyes and signs. "Doesn't matter they are stuck up jerks who hold grudges for the stupidest reasons."
Elesa snorts. "Don't say that Emmet." She sighs and watches Arceus finally show up.
"WHO DARES SUMMON ME?" Arecus shouts with a booming voice.
Cynthia crosses her arms. "Human form, and inside voice please." She watches the god turn into a human male in an ornament outfit. "Thank you."
"Emmet what brings you here." The god narrows his eyes. "I've already done my favor for you."
Emmet signs. "Not here about that, we're here because of the lights that have overtaken all of us here." He pauses and tilts his head seeing slight confusion in the gods eye. "You oversee the others who are the cause of this."
Arceus walks around Emmet studying the man then teleports and walks around everyone else one at a time. "You have been marked by me? I have no recollection of this nor have I been to Unova in the last decade." The god pauses staring at Cyrus. "Have you been messing with time, messing with my memory?"
Cyrus frowns; he has lost his scowl after years of healing. "I was on a date with my husband when we were overtaken and woke up in the hospital. I haven't bothered you since I was in my 20s."
Arceus sighs and returns to the center stage so to speak. "This is troublesome, and I can't blame Volo. He's been dead for years now." They sigh and scratch their head. They toss a pokeball to Cynthia. "Take me with you guys. I will be civil. I dunno how you got my markings or what they will eventually do, but I refuse to be in the dark on my own actions."
Cynthia holding the God's pokeball. "Very well, should we be concerned with the memory loss for the whole of humanity."
"No, the markings remind me of the past, my past self about a few hundred years in the past. That won't have an effect of modern day, Dialga and Palkia have been quiet as of late. I shall check on them. Summon me with my pokeball when you need back among the humans." The god vanished leaving the five humans alone with worry in the back of their minds.

What if ingo never returns. Au/hc time
Ingo never gets returned to the present. He stays in hisui , grows old and dies. He regains some of his memories, over time they get triggered but he never fully remembers. He has a different life now and no matter what he has to settle. Back in Unova though Emmet hasn't stopped looking for his brother. The battle subway still runs, and challenges come and go but it's always just emmet. Ingos og pokemon are still there with him as well. The subway feels lonely without Ingo there with him. Missing posters are scattered around the city and in others as well. But over time people stop looking. No one cares anymore. It was a lost cause. Not emmet though. Back then when Ingo was still around the twins would often visit Nacrene city when they had the time. Perusing around the museum and library. Ever since ingo disappeared though, Emmet drowned himself in work and couldn't bring himself to visit alone. Everyone knows Emmet is still hurting. There is nothing they can do but hope for the best. Even if he still wears his iconic smile it's different, tight and forced. It wavers at the mention of his brother. But it never truly falls until he reaches the confines of his home. He sits at night wondering where it went wrong, where his dear brother was. Tears staining his cheeks and eyes becoming swollen, surely to be visible the next day. Emmet took in Ingo's stray pokemon, and they all share the same pain, Missing Ingo greatly. One day though, while Emmet is at work, he gets a call. From Nacrene city's gym leader, Lenora. She would interact with the twins from time to time explaining new discoveries and theories they liked. She was desperate and breathless. She struggles to find the words. New items had been put out for display. Her voice trembles as she tries to explain her findings. And once she gets the words out, Emmet's hearts sinks. Suddenly it's much harder to breath, and his ears are ringing painfully so. He can't even hear what Lenora is saying at that point. His vision falters and he stumbles back into a chair. His phone vibrates, Informing him of a new message. Pictures of an old torn coat. Matching his but in black instead of white, a worn tunic with an unfamiliar symbol in the middle. But the hardest to miss was the hat. Ingo's signature hat, torn from some places, but Unmistakeably his. Much like Emmet's own hat, the familiar red ribbon and charm adorning the top. And to add insult to injury, a picture of his missing brother. He looks older , his posture horrible as he slouches. Wrinkles and scars visible on his face and exposed hands. As well as a small goatee on his chin. Standing next to a young girl with long black hair. Captioned "warden ingo and the hero of hisui " it's old and worn. Horribly faded in some parts. But he could never forget that face. The face of his missing twin." Born:? / died:?" His brother was gone. No longer in Unova. Not even the right time period. He no longer belonged to the land of the living, leaving his very much alive twin behind. Somehow, he had gone back in time. Had he been killed? Or had he grown old and lived a nice life? Emmet couldn't think. His eyes filled with tears, brain not getting enough oxygen to process anything correctly. It felt as if he was being choked, and he couldn't do anything to save himself except helplessly clawing at the invisible force that was draining him. Why had fate been so cruel? Why him? Had they done something to deserve this punishment from Arceus himself? He screamed, and the Walls of the security room seemed to mirror his pain. Echoing back his own pained shrieks. He was helpless. His brother was dead. had been dead for many years. Then, everything went black.

An idea to throw in the air the yandere twins with a s/o who can't get pregnant and it's a strain for a while before either or both twins come home carrying a child/children most likely some little twins definitely old enough they can wander off but young enough to not know what's going on and it's revealed the twins found them lost in the subway and had an instant connection with them surprise! This is their children now! Even without a significant other I can definitely imagine yandere Ingo getting terribly attached to a lost child in his station and deciding a parent who lost them is no worthy parent and takes them to rhe office to ask Emmet to help sneak them out and the man now has a baby half of what he's always wanted but realizes without someone home to watch them it makes things hard hence becoming weak to the idea of taking the first person who feels lovingly paternal enough to take care of his kid
Platonic Yandad Ingo taking children he thinks have terrible parents. He's giving them a better life, he believes. If their parents were good people, they wouldn't have let their children get lost in the station. They could have died! He will be a much better parent and shower them in his undivided attention.
Of course, if their partner was unable to get pregnant. They would 'find' a child for them. Ingo comes home with a young boy one days and gently introduces him to you as your child. The boy is reassured a that you are his parent, and Ingo is, too. Depending on how far along you in your conditioning, you may or may not be able to save that child from being kidnapped.
Emmet brings home two small girls who look nervous and cling to his legs. He giggles and introduces you to them. If he's bringing children home to you, you're already broken, so you greet them kindly. They slowly grow more comfortable with yours and Emmet's reassurances and become convinced that you are their parents. Emmet dyes their hair silver to help disguise them. It's strange when they get older and start seeing missing posters of them as they wander about.

do emmet and ingo ever just. sit down and talk it out? or is that something ingo avoids out of sheer terror
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ingo is still having a hard time adjusting, and Emmet is reaching his limit. Hopefully he and Akari can figure something out soon...
***DO NOT TAG AS SHIP***
[Image ID: A greyscale comic without panels. In the first image, Emmet is attempting to talk to Ingo, who looks nervous.
Emmet, cheerfully: "Hello, Ingo! I see that you are going somewhere. May I come with?"
Ingo: "Oh, uhhhh... well, this is official Warden business, Emmet... Perhaps you can come along next time?"
Emmet: "Oh, sure!"
Emmet, later, looking more unsure of himself: "Um... hey Ingo, could I talk to you about something?"
Ingo, looking away: "I'm afraid I am preoccupied at the moment with... tasks. Perhaps we could connect at a future stop?"
Emmet: "O-okay..."
Emmet, looking dejected: "Ingo...?"
Ingo, whipping around to walk in the other direction: "Oh! I think I just heard Clan Leader Irida calling! If you will excuse me..."
Emmet: "...Right."
Emmet stands alone, tearing up and looking very unhappy.
Second Image. Akari approaches Emmet, who has his head down.
Akari, lighthearted: "Hey, Emmet. What'cha up to? Looking for something on the ground?" Emmet sniffs. Akari realizes something is wrong. "Wait... Are you crying? Hey, what's wrong?"
Emmet suddenly realizes she's there, and whips around to face Akari: "Ack-! O-oh! Hi, Akari! I am fine! Nothing is wrong! Tooooootally fine, yup. W-why do you think otherwise?"
Akari looks entirely unconvinced, and gives Emmet a disapproving look.
Akari: "Wow. You know, for a guy who's always smiling, that was amazingly unconvincing."
Akari sits down next to Emmet, and raises a hand nonchalantly. Emmet looks down at her with his arms crossed, looking unsure.
Akari: "Well. You certainly don't have to talk to me about anything Uncle Emmet-" Emmet interjects with a small "U-uncle Emmet...?", "-but I'm here if you want."
Third Image. A closeup of Emmet with a strained smile on his face, only one eye visible. Akari says: "Why don't you talk to Ingo about it?"
Emmet turns back to Akari, sniffling: "I-I can't... No. Ingo does not want to talk to me. Ingo does not want to see me."
Akari: "Really? ...So that's why you're upset?"
Emmet, eyes downcast: "...Yeah. It's just... none of this is what I wanted. None of this is what I imagined would happen..."
A poster of Ingo can be seen, taped to a wall. Above his head "MISSING" is written in unown lettering.
Emmet: "Ever since my brother went missing 5 years ago, I've spent practically every day looking for him."
The missing poster is seen again, but now faded and peeling away from the wall. It's obviously been there for a long time.
Emmet, continuing: "...Long after everyone else stopped looking. I became willing to do anything," A pre-transformed Emmet can be seen looking up at Arceus, "Anything, just to see him again... And I made a mistake."
A side view of Emmet can be seen, with a somewhat manic smile and obvious tears in his eyes: "Even so, I thought... "It will be okay. I will get to see Ingo again. So everything will be okay."
Emmet's smile drops, and he holds one hand to his face, the other going to his chest: "But... It's NOT okay. Nothing is okay!" Emmet sniffles and sobs through his words. "I am so far from home. I do not like it here. Everywhere I go I am called 'Almighty Sinnoh' or 'Arceus'. I am not the Almighty Sinnoh. I am not Arceus. I am Emmet. I am the Subway Boss of Nimbasa City..." Emmet sniffles. "I am A Subway Boss, together with Ingo. But Ingo does not remember me... He does not believe me when I tell him we are a two-car train."
Emmet rubs his right eye, tears streaming down the left side of his face. He raises his lower arms in a pleading gesture.
Emmet: "Why, Akari? Why doesn't he believe me? I-I've sacrificed so much..." He pauses, sobbing, "Just to be here... and it hurts. This body is s-so painful... It's hard to get up in the morning... hard to stand, sometimes... I am not meant to be like this." Emmet sniffles. "But I get up anyway. Because I am just so happy to see Ingo again. But he does not want to see me. I mean nothing to him now."
Akari looks saddened, muttering "Emmet..."
Last image. Akari scoots over to Emmet, wrapping her arms around him and giving him a tight squeeze, surprising him.
Akari, looking downwards: "Emmet... I have no idea how you must be feeling, but... I think I might know how Uncle Ingo feels... I don't remember where I came from very well either, and I don't know if I would recognize the people who were most important to me right away... The idea of forgetting something like that is really scary..."
She looks up at Emmet with a small smile on her face, trying to be reassuring: "So, um... be patient with him, alright? Ingo, I mean. It seems like you two were really close, so there's no way he's forgotten you forever. And, I bet if you took him back to wherever you two came from, he'll remember something! So... I'll help you figure out how to get back there. Maybe we'll find a way to get your old body back, too! And maybe I'll remember something..."
Emmet looks at Akari with a slight smile, grateful: "Akari..."
He envelops Akari in a four-armed hug, returning the gesture.
Emmet: "Thanks, kiddo..." /.End ID]

Okay. I feel kind of bad doing this to kid Ingo but I couldn’t get it out of my head.
Maybe little Ingo does find out.
Maybe one night, Emmet get called take a small night shift.
(I am unsure how that works at a Subway Station, it happens sometimes in other jobs involving people)
He tucks in Ingo on the couch because his brother’s room is hard to look at sometimes, and he keeps it locked since he went to Hisui.
Emmet will be back anyway, a few hours tops, just to go fix something. Little Ingo can choose to watch a movie or sleep.
He chooses to sleep.
In his rush, Emmet forgets to lock his room door.
Now, he keeps it unlocked at night if Ingo needs anything, wakes up from a nightmare, etc.
Usually however, his research things are put away and he knows that Ingo wouldn’t snoop if it was put away.
In his rush, he has some papers on his desk. A small neat stack of missing papers.
Ingo’s missing papers.
Emmet is conflicted putting them up. He knows where, when, his brother is, just not here right now. However, its been over a month, and he has to put them up or else they’ll do it for him.
That night, Ingo couldn’t sleep. He hugs Emmet’s old Reshiram plush. (The matching Zekrom is in a room he’s not allowed in.)
He walks towards his brother’s room. The door is unlocked. Kid Ingo trudges towards the bed when he spots something on the desk.
A stack of papers with the backside flipped up. This was the first time he sees papers left out on Emmet’s desk.
Ingo can see the slight color the other side has and can’t help himself.
It was all of his face. Well, it was this older Emmet’s face with a frown and black clothing instead of white.
Underneath the picture in bold red, Times New Roman font,
“Missing”
When Emmet returns exhausted, he notices his door open, the only light on in the whole apartment.
He finds Ingo on the bed, gripping the Reshiram and one of the papers tight in his small arms. He is weeping and then he notices Emmet at the doorway.
His voice rings out, a desperate child needing something to be answered,
“I’m going to lose you again, aren’t I?”
Emmet doesn’t answer, but the tears that form in his eyes was enough.
Ok I picked up where you left off, Anon:
!!WARNING ANGST!!
“I-I can explain,” Emmet says, but stops there.
He can’t explain. There is no explaining his way out of this one. His brain stalls out and he can’t make his mouth form another word, especially when little Ingo wipes the tears from his eyes and glares at him instead. His expression reminds him of the one on his adult brother’s face when he told him about what Kamado was doing to him so many years ago.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” He demands. “What is this about?”
He holds up one of the papers, and Emmet feels his stomach flip.
“I can understand if you hate me, but this…” Ingo is still but Emmet can see his entire body quaking with anger. “Are you trying to make sure that I’m not found?”
What?
His entire body freezes when he realizes. Little Ingo doesn’t know that he intended to hang those posters up. He thinks he tore them down.
He wants to reply--needs to reply, but he can’t. He can’t speak, and even if he could, he has no idea what he’s going to say. The scene plays out like a disaster in slow motion that he has no way of stopping.
“I knew it,” Ingo concludes. He knocks over the stack of papers with one hand, spreading them out across the floor. Then, he jumps to his feet. “If you want me gone so badly, you’ve got it. I’m out of here.”
Fists clenched, he storms past him and towards the door. Emmet spins around, finally finding his voice to say, “Ingo, wait--” but he’s cut off by the sound of the slamming door.
He rushes out after him and into the night, but Ingo is nowhere to be found. A panic starts to rise in his chest and he calls out for him but gets no answer. He frantically searches the area around the apartment complex but can’t find him. His thoughts are spiraling, and all he can think is that now he’s lost both Ingos with no clue how to find them, and he doesn’t know what to do, he doesn’t know what to do--
Hands shaking violently and on the verge of breaking down entirely, he reaches into his pocket and pulls out his phone. He dials a number and holds it to his ear, listening to the connecting tone and thinking, please pick up, please pick up, please pick up...
“Emmet?” comes a groggy, surprised voice from the other end of the line.
“Elesa!” Emmet could cry with relief. “Oh, thank god! I really need you right now.”
She doesn’t ask him why he’s suddenly calling her out of the blue after not responding to any of her texts or calls for the past two weeks.
She doesn’t remind him that its nearly midnight and that he’s absolutely out of his mind for calling her at this late of an hour.
She says, “Emmet, honey, where are you? I’m on my way.”

Call Ended
(also posted on AO3) What if Ingo returned but to an empty home? What if it's his turn to search for Emmet? Thankfully he has a friend, practically a sister, to help.
"I'm scared and I'm tired. They say to just… talk to you. To let you go. But I don't want to. You're not gone, Ingo. You're not. I'd know. I'd… I'd know if you were dead."
Ingo paused the video and immediately regretted it. The barely illuminated face staring back at him was distorted in such anguish. Any attempt at keeping a smile was lost as the final word was said.
The video didn't tell Ingo who this other person was that missed him so much, and he debated whether or not to watch more to find out. Nothing else in the home really said anything. A video file called "to ingo" on an unlocked laptop had seemed the best place to start… but Ingo found it so hard to watch.
But he was strong. He could do this.
As he watched, the anguish slowly drained from the familiar face. In the span of two breaths, the smile was back in place. "We are twins. I am Emmet. You are Ingo. You are not gone. But the truth is that you are not here."
"I'm here." Ingo said aloud to the video as if it could hear. As if Emmet could hear.
"I can't do it anymore, Ingo. If you're watching this-" the laughter that followed his words were stingingly empty. "Ahah! As if you would! This is verrrrry dumb. Hah, well, Elesa has your pokemon, Ingo. And mine. I'm done living with this truth."
Ingo didn't wait for the video to end. His legs carried him by instinct alone to where he knew this Elesa to be. Even if the name brought to mind neither face nor memory, his destination was set.
He knocked loudly, belatedly hoping that he had followed the right tramline.
"Emmet, what-" A lady answered, blinking up at him as if fighting away sleep.
"I am looking for an Elesa. Please direct me to the correct station."
As if seeing a ghost, she stepped back. "Ingo?"
"Yes-"
She threw her arms around him, causing him to tense up. He didn't- no, he did know her. But the how or why escaped him. "You're home!"
"Ma'am I regret to inform you, but my memories are gone." Even as he said it, however, he found himself returning the hug gently. It was as familiar as the poses he took to when battling.
"They-what?" She pulled away slowly to look at him with tearful eyes. It made him look to the ground so as not to see the tears come. "But. You know this place?"
"I know my destination, but recognize none of my fellow commuters." He tipped his hat down, "My apologies."
"Ingo, only apologize if you're dead! Otherwise get in here, I've gotta call your brother."
Ingo stepped into the lavish apartment, feeling no familiarity with the decor or layout. A quick glance at some posters on the wall told him that he was in fact in the home of Elesa. A gym leader, yes, a trainer one aspires to overcome.
"Well, that worked just as well as every other time." Elesa said with annoyance creeping into her tone. She returned to the living room carrying a small box.
"What are these?"
"Emmet left all the pokemon with me, both his and yours."
"What! That's unsafe!"
"I told him that, but you know how he is!"
Ingo flinched at the casual remark, a sinking feeling in his gut. He should. He should know how Emmet is, what his twin is like. He should recognize the stranger before him right now, but he didn't-couldn't!
"Ingo… the amnesia, does it…" It was like she didn't want to complete the thought or know the answer.
"I only know Emmet is my twin brother… from a video he left on his computer. I didn't even remember his name."
There was trust there. A trust and a friendship strong enough that Ingo could feel his barriers and safety measures falling away. Tears that were held at bay by the thought of a stranger seeing now came freely. His heart knew he could trust Elesa, even if his mind was still catching up.
She was so strong. She might not tower over him as Zisu once did, but her resolve to keep him supported as he sobbed felt all the same. Even as his trembling made him want to collapse, Elesa was as unyielding as the pillars in Celestica.
He knew all too well that even pillars could crumble under time and pressure, but for now, she was a wall to lean on. A place to catch his breath. A familiar station. Not home, but somewhere close.
"Breathe with me, ok?" He heard her words and listened, syncing with her deep breaths until the world was a little less overwhelming.
Thinking back to the video, Ingo wondered if she was used to comforting his twin in the same manner. The practiced precision of it made the theory likely. That was comforting.
As were the small sounds of pokemon coming out of their pokeballs. It soon became a group hug with many, many participants. He felt his heart warm in a way it never had in Hisui.
"I am Emil. Nice to meet you!" The worker piped up the second the door opened, giving a big grin. He then returned to stocking the shelves by the register as if the encounter never took place.
He didn't notice when a young teen made their way over to his side.
"Has anyone ever told you that you look like someone famous?"
"Yes!" Emil yelped his response, half in surprise. Crafty kid had caught him with a Quick Attack! Verrry effective.
No, that was wrong, normal type moves weren't super effective against any typing at all. It had caught him by surprise, perhaps more of an Astonish. That would be super effective since he did feel like a ghost of his former-
"Are you a famous trainer?" The kid's words shook Emil out of his thoughts.
"Nope! But you look like one in the making." He pointed at the pokeball at the kid's hip.
"That's too boring, I'm going to be a Coordinator and win pokemon contests! They're more strategic!"
Emil was extremely glad when the kid's mom called them away. More strategic, his a-
"Sir, could you help me find the max potions?"
"Right this way!" Emil got back on track, leading the other customer towards the healing section.
"How could he just disappear?!"
Elesa couldn't hold back a laugh. "Sorry, sorry! Apricots and oran berries, but you're saying the exact same thing he did over and over. He'd definitely say 'you're one to talk!'"
"Well I didn't choose to disappear! You're telling me he gave you our pokemon and implied he was leaving and just did?"
"Yeah, pretty much." She shrugged, "He promised to check in once a month so I'd know he was alive, but that's it."
"How long until he calls?"
"It's usually around the middle of the month. I'd expect tomorrow."
"When he calls, may I answer?"
"I don't-" for the first time, Elesa wouldn't return his gaze. She gripped the side of her short coat almost defensively. For the first time since he'd arrived, she seemed vulnerable.
It was his turn to return the favor. "Hey, it's alright if the answer is no."
"No." She said firmly, looking at him again almost apologetically. "No, I'm sorry, but I need to hear his voice."
"You two are close-"
"Us three." She corrected with a sad smile. "I was the unofficial third triplet just so Emmet wouldn't be the youngest."
A warmth settled into Ingo's heart with the realization. The small assumption he'd been talking to his twin's girlfriend was finally quelled. He wasn't overstepping any lines, this was normal.
"Sister." Ingo said, the word feeling so right. It incorporated the friendship, the trust, the closeness, the bond that was right there before him.
She hugged him again, just a quick embrace this time without tears. "Brother."
"You lost us both!" Ingo said suddenly with a force he hadn't meant to use. He moved his arms as he spoke, exchanging some of the volume for the motion. "I forgot, so I didn't know I lost anyone. Emmet lost a twin and chose to leave you behind. You didn't get a choice in losing us both."
She nodded simply, wiping a stray tear as she kept a neutral face. "It hurt to lose him too, but I understand his reasoning. Not a single thing he did here failed to remind him of your absence."
"Where did he go?"
"He refuses to say. He claims he's happy but never gives any details. I can't tell if he's lying by voice alone." She wiped at her eyes more in frustration. "He only ever calls from payphones. He's too good at covering his tracks."
"It's going to be alright."
"He's not going to believe me, Ingo. What if we lose him for good?"
"We won't."
……
Emmet tossed off his work uniform and his nametag, feeling like himself again. It was rather annoying. It was easier being Emil, the mild mannered grocery clerk.
But of course the slightest talk of pokemon battling tugged his true self forward. It was his passion! It was everything to him! The strategy, the excitement, the endless combinations with-
No.
No, he was Emil. His passion was supplying the little town with food and health products. He had no pokemon, he had no interest in battles.
Emil liked the gossip from the old man that stopped by on Tuesdays. He liked seeing what strange things the kids down the road pooled their money for each weekend. He liked holding sales and smiling at his neighbors and occasionally rigging the toy section to dump all the sports balls if jostled at all.
Emil enjoyed his little apartment. It was cozy and dark with no pictures or decor. He enjoyed his simple wardrobe, just t-shirts and jeans. Nobody could make him dress formal. He didn't-Emil didn't like dressing formal. Emil didn't like coats.
Emil liked walking softly. Emil liked keeping his hair long. Emil liked putting it into a bun or braiding it. Emil didn't like wearing hats.
Emil didn't like that he was crying. He didn't like that his old self made him feel so bad.
His old Xtranceiver rang with a call in the other room, shaking him a little. Normally she didn't call when it was so close to their monthly check-in. Emil wondered if she was alright.
It had long since stopped hurting to let it ring. The noise was just a reminder that his sister was thinking of him. His sister. She was the only unifying thing between Emmet and Emil. Both were proud of her and loved her dearly.
He sent presents when he could afford it, and terrible joke cards when he couldn't. Always through anonymous channels, of course, she wasn't supposed to find him. With him out of sight, it'd be easier for her to forget about Ing-
NO!
Emmet grumbled low, slapping his forehead. He needed food and sleep. Tomorrow he'd call Elesa, find that she was ok, and go back to normal.
Scratch that, he just needed sleep. The sooner he slept, the sooner everything could go back to normal.
Ingo wasn't sure why Elesa was so adamant about him not sleeping on the floor. He kinda preferred it if he was honest, reminded of cuddling up with Sneasler and her young in the caves of Hisui. But Elesa wasn't having it, so he ended up on the couch. A very fluffy couch. So soft…
Emil awoke the next morning very hungry. That really wouldn't do, he knew how much worse he felt when his train ran on fumes. That was a safety hazard!
He quickly got himself some cereal, looking over the small town's newspaper. Some local kids had just graduated, that was neat. The rest was a lot of news about pokemon, which he skimmed over. The job section had an opening for a daycare worker that had his heart skipping a beat.
Maybe? Emil let the mask slip just a tad, as if to get Emmet's perspective. He'd always been the one that bred pokemon for the best moves. That wasn't something his- that was something wholly his own.
The memory of a frowning face and dark clothing hugging a pokemon egg flashed through his mind unbidden. For a moment he grasped for it, trying to see the details that simply weren't there. Emmet couldn't recall how long his hair had been. He couldn't remember if that had been before or after the time they got their ears pierced in their teens. It had been Ingo's idea when Emmet had found really cool train track earrings.
Emil was gentler with himself today. It was the day he'd call Elesa, so yeah, of course she'd remind him of Ingo. But wasn't it progress that he couldn't recall his twin's face?
As he made his way to the bathroom, Emil beamed at himself. Between his long black hair, the lack of sideburns, and the couple asymmetrical piercings on his nose and eyebrows, nothing looked the same. Well, maybe the eyes, but his glasses hid those well enough.
So he indulged in a monochromatic look for old time's sake. A bright white elastic to hold back his hair, a striped white and black tee, and some nice white jeans pulled the look together. Emil laughed at himself in the mirror, thinking he looked like a discount cosplay of the Subway Boss Emmet.
Emil made his merry way downstairs, trailing an excited hand along the familiar wall. It helped to keep his legs from marching.
"Ah, Emil, good morning! Will you be needing my phone?"
"Good morning! Yes, thank you." Emil smiled at his friend. The guilt of using the frequent traveller's phone to hide his location had long since faded. "Your long distance calling plan is a life saver!"
"I keep telling you, they're not expensive." The response was playful, as this was an old argument that was routine at this point. His friend gave him their phone and returned to messing with their pokedex.
Emil typed in the number he knew by heart.
"He's calling!"
"How do you know it's-"
"SHHHH" Elesa shushed him loudly, picking up her Xtransciever quickly. No video showed on her screen, which she expected. "Emmet?"
"I am Emmet! It is good to hear you!"
"Yeah. Yeah it is." Her voice was so soft, relief evident in every level. She noticed Ingo waving at her, distantly. "Emmet can I- I have to tell you-"
"Hm? Elesa are you alright?"
"No. You need to come home, it's… you were right, ok?" She held a hand over her mouth, trying not to cry. But the other hand, the one with the Xtransciever, shot out to Ingo.
"Elesa, what are you-"
"Emmet, please come home. I'm not dead." Ingo spoke into the machine loud enough that he was sure his brother would not mishear him.
Two beats of silence accompanied the words. It was as if time stood still. Ingo thought to say more, but a small sound cut him off.

Ya know, I truly hope Miss Renesmee Carlie Cullen fully dedicates herself to just....being as out there and iconic as possible
first things first- ANYTHING with the loch ness monster on it, she owns. Posters, shirts, jackets, shoes, folders, buttons, iron-ons, there is always at least 5 pieces of Nessie merch on her at all times
once she gets old enough to start high school, the cover story is her and Edward are siblings that Carlisle and Esme took in, and sometimes her classmates will ask her what her biological parents were like and she will flat out be like 'oh, they're vampires' and Edward and Bella are like. 5 feet away trying not to scream
every Halloween she'll show up to school in an elaborate Nosferatu costume
goes out of her way to photobomb people in increasingly ridiculous ways so there will Always be a photographic record of her and in like 100 years she can get a huge kick out of teens on the internet trying to make a conspiracy about her
joins as many school clubs as she can, even if she has no interest in them- she just Really wants a concrete record of herself to exist lmao
ICONIC at school theater though. One of those demon theater kids that come to rehearsal purely to cause chaos and nothing else, but her voice is incredible so she secures every lead. One time she somehow managed to star in a show while also playing in the school band for it- her classmates still have no idea how she pulled it off
Always brings blood out in public in a CLEAR THERMOS and it stresses her family out so much but everyone else thinks she's just like, weirdly into tomato juice so the Cullens can't stop her
to everyone's surprise...her biggest chaos enabler is Jasper lmao. everyone thought he'd be a logical, responsible uncle but they're just. A Problem together. He'll 100% assist her in any prank she wants to pull, he gets her fake id's when she wants to sneak into a club with friends, he bails her out of jail without telling her parents, they figured out if she gets high and he reads her feelings he'll get high too and it's. So fucking funny.
she's always carrying some random instrument around school- like for a while it's a guitar or a harmonica, fine, but then she'll start lugging a cello around, a tuba (she doesn't even play, she stole it off a guy who was annoying her) and it escalates until one day she's wheeling a piano around the building. no one's even sure how she got in in the doors of the school. She keeps running kids over in the hallway with it
You know the Catherine Tate Lauren Cooper skit with David Tennant? Where she's being a terrible student and then perfectly recites Shakespeare? 100% Nessie
when she starts getting dates Jacob keeps trying to wing man and be over supportive and give her a ton of girl advice and it's embarrassing as hell so one day when he was on a spiel about How To Woo A Lady she looks him in the eyes and goes 'oh really? did that work on my mom?' and the Cullens fucking LOSE IT. Jacob had to go live in the woods for a few days because he couldn't cope
Emmet and Jasper: arrive to school in their jeep. Rose and Alice: arrive in a convertible. Edward: arrives in his dumb volvo. Bella and Jake: arrive to school on motorcycles. Nessie: arrives to school on a unicycle while juggling
one year she ended up getting nominated for prom queen and Edward read the minds of the teachers tallying the votes so he knew she won and he and Bella were so excited!! they're like we're gonna take so many pictures of our baby looking like a princess! And then she emerges from her room, actually drenched in pigs blood. Like she just did it to herself and went to the dance and accepted her crown like that
she regularly commits crimes against fashion. If she comes out of her room and sees Alice contemplating turning herself over to the Volturi, she KNOWS she's picked a great look
somehow gets ahold of Aro's cell number and sends him selfies of her blatantly breaking vampire laws captioned 'whatcha gonna do'. he keeps blocking her but she keeps managing to get through to him somehow
she illegally sells soda out of her locker and does people's homework for cash, while also paying other people to do her homework for her. she organizes every single senior prank. she's never gotten a detention in her whole immortal life because every teacher just Adores her for some reason
had 100% used her powers for deserved evil before. Like, if someone's being a dick at school, she'll sneak into their room at night and give them nightmarea threatening them to be a better person lol
sometimes she'll show up at the hospital unannounced and ask Carlisle, in front of his coworkers, 'yo can I raid the blood bank?'
her bedroom looks like a library. every wall, floor to ceiling books.
she's been publishing trashy romance novels under a fake name for almost 40 years now and no one in her family knows
one birthday Jacob takes her on a trip to vegas and they get wasted, at some point they were laughing about how ridiculous their lives are and they're like 'wouldn't it be fucking hilarious if we had a baby'. they then black out, hangover style, and wake up like a week later with a payment on her card to a fertility clinic. Jacob's like 😱 and Ness is just like 'you get to be the one to explain this to my parents'
Their kid is absolutely hilarious, they were correct, and at some point they realized 'wait...drinks blood..doesn't sparkle...can shape shift...we've somehow created a classic pop culture vampire' lmao
Edward had to threaten them to get them to not name the kid Vladimir
Also to be clear: Nessie and Jacob have the EXACT same dynamic as Will and Grace. that's canon.
says its her goal to star in a live action all female production of mamma mia and Carlisle is like 'honey you know you can't do anything on broadway or in hollywood' and she's like, 'no, in real life. I'm gonna go to greece and attract a bunch of women with abba songs' and he's like,,,,,ah
she loves all music but she goes out of her way to Only play stuff she knows Edward hates lmao
one day she remembers she doesn't need to breathe and can see under water and just. books herself a ticket to scotland and Finds The Loch Ness Monster
she actually personally finds a lot of monsters and cryptids like her hybrid aura just attracts all kind of weird shit and she LOVES it. She stops writing trashy romance novels and starts writing autobiographies of her traveling and hanging out with paranormal beings and everyone just assumes its fiction so she becomes a best selling fantasy author lmao
100% she's very into witchy stuff and only like...half in a trendy way. She's like what if on top of everything I've got going on I can cast spells? Think I deserve that power
when she's a couple decades old she catches Edward looking grossed out one day and she asks him what's up and he's like 'I really dont need to hear what creepy teachers think about my daughter' and she's like. oh. Dad we are gonna get SO MANY pedophiles arrested shdndjdn she gets him to expose teachers and she baits them then calls the police. queen.
She finds out she can get tattoos but they fade completely out of her skin within 5 years so she's always getting crazy tats
posts selfies on social media of her just like. hanging out with mountain lions or chilling on top of the space needle. her classmates think they're all photoshopped obvi but it drives her family insane
imagine you're 15 and you're on a nice hike in the woods and you come across your one classmate half naked, sacrificing a bear in some ritual, blood dripping down her face, bigfoot chilling on the rocks behind her filming the ritual on her phone...like on one hand, what would you do, but on the other hand. you've known this girl for a bit and you aren't surprised at all
anyway. stan Nessie Cullen.

I'm curious; How would your Pokemon Black Self-insert react to Ingo going missing/getting lost in time?
HI HI HI THANK YOU FOR ASKING THIS BECAUSE GENUINELY I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THIS NONSTOP!!!
This is gonna be a bit long so,, under the cut it goes!!!
Theo's first reaction is shock, and a bit of disbelief.
I mean, can you blame her? Her husband goes missing on the job, and her brother-in-law can't find him anywhere. She tries to convince herself that maybe Ingo got lost, that maybe he wandered off to grab something at a nearby store and just forgot to tell Emmet. They don't always have the same shifts after all, and Ingo can be forgetful sometimes.
But then he doesn't come home.
And then days pass.
Then the police start putting up the missing person posters.
And Theo can't convince herself that Ingo isn't missing, that everything's fine and that he'll be home soon. Because it's been a whole two weeks by now with absolutely no sign of him.
A part of her blames herself. Maybe if she was a better wife, maybe if she had done something, anything differently, he'd still be here. He'd be coming home with Emmet, he'd be fondly exasperated at her and Emmet's teasing, he'd help her with meals and tease her with his brother. Their room is quiet and dark- horrifically empty. Theo cannot sleep for the life of her, even as her Gengar and Mimikyu try to put her to sleep. Even as Ingo's Chandelure tries as well to offer her rest.
She does her best not to wallow in her heartbreak, at least not until she's alone. She has Emmet to care for, after all. He's her best friend, after all, and her brother. And Theo considers family more important than anything, and he's the only family she has left. She offers him what comfort she can, does her best to get him to eat and rest, to not throw himself into his work until he collapses. She gets his pokemon to help a lot, and Ingo's and her own as well. She and Emmet are both on the verge of collapsing without Ingo, but she does her best to hold them together. Emmet does his best to help her as well- but he's never been one for many words. They spend a lot of nights together after Ingo disappears, both of them feeling far to lonely and empty to sleep alone. They keep eachother company- it's the most either of them can think to do.
Their friends help as much as they can. Elesa visits when she can, and Theo's friends from Galar fly in and call when they have the chance, but they still feel very... Isolated. There's an important part of their life missing now, and neither of them are having a good time trying to cope with that loss.
So when Emmet vows to get his brother back no matter what, even if he has to track down the very gods themselves, Theo quickly agrees to go with him. They bring Ingo's team with them, just in case. Chandelure knows her trainer's soul, better than any other Pokemon could. And besides that, Chandelure and Theo become very close while Ingo is missing.
Theo leaves her Unova shelter in the care of her employees and Emmet finds someone to temporarily take over the duties of subway boss. And they head out.
They explore all over the world, researching every legendary Pokemon, asking everyone they can if they had seen Ingo anywhere.
Until Theo finds a potential lead- the two legendaries that were revered in her grandfather's birthplace of Sinnoh. If there was anyone that could help, any god or Pokemon, it would be the very gods of time and space themselves.
So they journey to Sinnoh, and they search desperately for Palkia and Dialga. And they do not stop until they find them.
Because they are finding Ingo, and they will not stop until they do. And when he his back with them, they are not losing him again.
