Glenfiddich 40-Year-Old Whiskey: The Top-Selling Single Malt Scotch Whiskey in The World
Glenfiddich 40 year old whiskey -- there is a lot of talk about this ultimate whisky out there. Some people talk about Glenfiddich because it is still the number one selling single malt scotch in the world; others judge whiskies from Scotland and compare their favorite to other distilleries. However, not all of the top ranking whiskies come from the Highlands of Scotland. Some of the finest whiskies come from their own mountain home and Glenfiddich is a prime example.
Glenfiddich was first produced in 1966 in Dufftown, Scotland, by John Glendinning and William Grant. In 1973 the distillery was bought by The Distillers Company Ltd and in 1981 it was bought by Pernod Ricard for a total cash sum of £4.5 million". That was followed by another buyout in 1986. In 1997, it was bought by Japanese company Kirin Brewery Ltd, which has managed the Glenfiddich brand since then.
This is a very old bottling of Glenfiddich 40-year-old whisky, which they actually started producing in 1983. There are only a few bottles that are older and I have tasted some of them, but this one comes from the original cask and it is one of the best 40-year-old Glenfiddich's I have ever tasted.
The 40-year-old Glenfiddich whisky is a blend, which consists of mostly Speyside whiskies. It is matured in ex-bourbon casks and then bottled at 46.8% abv.
"Glenfiddich has been the world's best selling single malt Scotch whisky since record keeping began in 1886, when it became the world's first bottle to sell one million units. Glenfiddich whisky is made from the purest water, traditionally drawn from the Burn Mill and Craigellachie Springs and then matured in oak casks with completely natural color and flavor. It's a name that spells quality".
Today it is the top-selling single malt scotch whiskey in the world, so the only thing I can do is to try it and see if it still lives up to its name.
So if you are looking to buy Glenfiddich 40 year old Whiskey, then you would want to consider choosing www.swiftwhiskeysupply.com, which is the leading online store for alcohol in North America. The store is committed to providing liquor buffs with the fun and excitement at the cheapest price. So buy Glenfiddich 40 year old Whiskey and to let your spirit rise.

Get the Best Single Malt Whisky Online at Sendgifts
Single Malt Scotch Whisky is defined by law as whisky distilled from only malted barley, aged for a minimum of three years and produced by a single Scottish distillery, Single malt whisky is one of the most highly-prized and sought-after categories of alcoholic drinks in the world.
Single malt whisky has grown a reputation for being a higher quality spirit than blends. This has led to a misconception that they are also smoother and more flavorful. Yet before you dismiss Dewars as being beneath you, you should at least give blended whiskey a chance to defend itself.
Sendgifts is one of the best go-to online liquor store and offers online alcohol delivery services in USA and Canada. Order whisky online and get fastest delivery of alcohol. So, what are you waiting for? Order now and get your favorite drink at your doorstep.

Arlington, TX Gothic
You walk outside.  The wind is out of the north today.  You’ve long since forgotten if the smell in from Green Oaks or from the faint decay of something in River Legacy that has been there long before the park was built.
Every year people flock to Interlochen to see the Christmas Lights.  They drive and line up to see lights on houses no one has been seen going to or leaving for years.  No one questions where the lights came from.  Its better to just accept them as a blessing.
You pass by Cowboys Stadium.  The big letters on top say AT&T but you know better.  A couple of folks from out of town called it AT&T at the college game last week.  You can’t help but notice that the parking lot seems bigger today.  Two new spaces.
Smiling, plastic-like faces at the auto lots along the interstate shake your hand and gladly sell you cars and trucks that wont take you far enough to be out of the Metroplex.  It expands slowly every day, and  here you are stuck in the direct center of it.
You go to visit Abrahms and Main street.  They are always under construction.  Not for building anything up.  They are trying to keep something down.
The halogens of the Highlands and Parks Mall beam like a harsh but welcoming beacon as you drive.  Places to lose yourself in swallowing light before the encroaching darkness of suburbia swallows you once again.
The Shockwave at Six Flags wurrs to life.  You see the riders as the train hauls them up to its apex, faces filled with excitement and casual terror.  When you drive by two hours later, you see these same riders, their faces now holding real fear as they realize they are now trapped in a double-looping cycle.  The Oil Derrick looms in the distance, keeping its every-watchful eye fixated on the train.  You look forward.  This is how it has been for years.
You go to a new brewery that appeared one day.  The alcohol helps you forget that the bartender somehow already knew your name.

Tullibardine Whisky Core Range
Tullibardine is hidden away in the Perthshire hills. Their core whisky range is an exciting exploration of malt.
The Brand
This Highland malt has been around since 1798 when the distillery was first opened by William and Henry Bannerman. The site itself dates back to the 15th century, when it was founded as a brewery.
Today it is a thriving distillery, despite having been through periods of silence and exchanged owners many times in the past.
It is now owned by Picard Vins & Spiritueux, who also own the Highland Queen Scotch Company.
The core Tullibardine range is packed with really intriguing malts.
Sovereign
It begins with Sovereign, the distillery’s signature malt that has been matured in first fill ex-Bourbon barrels.
This is an excellent selection as a signature; it is packed with flavour and has a soft, mellow mouth feel.
The nose opens with an intensely sweet vanilla note. It is rich and slightly earthy, with a little bit of cinnamon heat to it.
Caramel and white chocolate also appear, adding a little bit more depth to the overall aroma.
The palate is full of malted barley and grains. This increases the earthy flavours and brings out the oak a little bit more.
The mouth feel is gentle and creamy, with a buttery texture that brings the vanilla and caramel together well.
Orchard fruits and a hint of cinnamon make for a full bodied dram.
The finish is rich and deep, with more vanilla and chocolate.
225 Sauternes Cask Finish
Matured in a 225 litre cask that previously held Sauternes dessert wine that was created at Chateau Suduiraut, this malt has a little bit of bite and a lot of fruit.
The nose begins with the zest of lime and some candied orange peels.
It is sweet and fruity, with a slightly malted undertone.
The palate is really exciting. More sweet notes of exotic fruits such as pineapple and mangoes appear, with lots more citrus.
There is also a hint of rich cream and white chocolate, which adds a lovely soft note to the tang of the fruit.
Oats and barley are also there, giving a lovely backdrop to the fruits.
The finish has a slight hint of vanilla, but with lots more citrus fruits.
228 Burgundy Cask Finish
this malt has been finish in 228 litre barriques that once held pinot noir from Chateau de Chassagne Montrachet.
It is a deliciously dark and flavoursome dram, with a little bit of heat and lots of fruit.
Cherries and almonds come out from the get go, and the nose brims with earthy, floral notes.
There is an edge of sweetness that is filled with oak wood and vanilla.
The palate is packed with chocolate, fudge and orange. The citrus fruits offer a lovely tang against the dark berries and sweet nuts.
It has a hint of allspice and cloves that add a little heat and warmth.
The oak wood also comes through really well, with nods towards vanilla. This is subtle and melts into the other flavours well.
The finish is rich and refined, with more berries and a note of oak wood to end.
500 Sherry Cask Finish
The final in the core range, this dram is packed with sweet fruits and nuts.
The nose opens with lots of rich oak and vanilla notes. These combine with orchard fruits such as apples and pears.
It has real depth and elegance. The flavours come together perfectly to create an orchard for the taste buds.
The palate is full of caramel, honey and cinnamon. The heat and sweetness work in harmony to create a really luxurious tasting dram.
Sweet nuts, burnt brown sugar and oats also appear here, adding more depth and flavour to already established caramel.
The mouth feel is creamy and soft, with a wonderful honeyed texture.
The finish rounds off well with more malted flavours and a cinnamon warmth.
Tullibardine is an excellent distillery and their core range speaks for itself. You have some really interesting cask finishes here that will really get you excited for the brand.

The Pop Culture Pub Crawl: Clay McNab
Tumblr media
The Pop Culture Pub Crawl reveals the favourite hooch of fictional characters and this edition is about passing the glass to Clay McNab from Tales Of The Frontier. An infamous Quester and witch hunter, Clay McNab has dedicated his life to stopping supernatural creatures and along the way he’s drunk his way through countless saloons and bordellos.
Witch hunting is thirsty work and here are some of the bottles McNab would be partial to.
Gun Fighter Bourbon Whisky
A spirits and whisky man, McNab would have an appreciation for bourbon and he’d pour himself a glass of Gun Fighter from the Golden Moon Distillery.
He’d see himself reflected in the label and while sipping the whisky, McNab would be reminded of all the gun fights he’d been through over the years and the actions that earned him the nickname The Hammer Of The Witches.
High West American Prairie Bourbon
The next bourbon on McNab’s list is American Prairie from the High West Distillery. With spicy, sweet notes, this whisky would appeal to his taste buds. It’d also remind McNab of all the times he’d rode across the sprawling planes of The Frontier, evoking a rugged individualism and romanticism that he felt in his younger days.
Maker’s Mark Whisky
When it comes to whisky, McNab likes reliability. A good, solid spirit that he can sip in a dark saloon and listen to music with. Maker’s Mark is the right whisky for the job. Savoury and sweet, this whisky is something McNab would drink like water.
Tumblr media
Cask 88 31-Year-Old Nuckelavee Single Malt Whisky
After knocking back bourbon, McNab would want to change it up and select a whisky that had bite and resonance. He’d choose the 31-year-old Orkney single malt from Cask 88. The whisky also carries the symbol of the Orcadian demon Nuckelavee, a foul creature that looks like a giant flayed horse with a man attached to the body.
One of McNab’s most difficult contracts involved him stopping a nuckelavee with the help of his mentor Bram Fitzgerald. Bringing the demon down was one of McNab’s finest moments and drinking the whisky would be a way to remind himself of the triumph and to be vigilant against other creatures of the dark.
The whisky itself was distilled at Highland Park distillery. Starting life in a refilled sherry cask, the spirit was finished in a Rivesaltes fortified French wine hogshead.
Tumblr media
The Norfolk Parched Single Grain Whisky
Another whisky McNab would gravitate towards is the well-respected The Norfolk Parched Single Grain. Distilled by The English Whisky Company, The Norfolk Parched is a rich and complex spirit with peach, toffee, grapefruit and dry notes.
Tumblr media
Appleton 12-Year Rum
As well as being a whisky fan, McNab is also partial to rum. Especially rum that has a good reputation and he’d find plenty to enjoy with a bottle of Appleton 12-years. Matured in oak casks, this rum has fruity and sweet expressions of chocolate and molasses.
It’d be a worthy palate cleanser for The Hammer Of The Witches.
Tumblr media
Marsh House Rum
On The Frontier, rum is classed as the drink of the common man and the highest concentration of rum distilleries is found in Deepstead Province. A marshy, tropical region, Deepstead has the ideal climate for producing rum and McNab has had many adventures throughout that part of the world.
A rum to remind him of Deepstead would be Marsh House. This rum has bright, floral notes that crackle with cola, caramel and vanilla.
Tumblr media
Cazadores Anejo Cristalino
For a sipping tequila, McNab would be partial to the Cazadores Anejo Cristalino. Made from blue agave harvested in Jalisco, Mexico, the tequila has been aged in American oak barrels.
The result? A heady drink with spicy notes of apple, wood and nuts. McNab would also enjoy the packaging, as the stag is an animal he associates with strength and speed.
Tumblr media
Espolon Blanco Tequila
When it comes to alcohol, McNab is open-minded and he’d certainly have an appreciation for tequila. A good choice is Espolon Blanco, a blue agave spirit distilled in Los Altos by The San Nicolas Distillery.
With an eye-catching label, Espolon would agree with McNab’s taste buds. Zesty, citrusy and potent.
Tumblr media
Kariu Shochu
As a Quester, McNab has roamed all over The Frontier and been exposed to all kinds of cultures and drinks. One culture he’s very familiar with is the kamuni, who have their own indigenous drinks called tinek and burash.
Over the years, McNab has drunk plenty of tinek and burash with his friend Itsano and a spirit that would remind him of burash is shochu. An ideal shochu for The Hammer Of The Witches is Kariu, a barley spirit produced by the Bungo Meijyo brewery in Japan.
Elegant, mild and soft, the Kariu would be a suitable finishing drink to help McNab take the edge off.
Tumblr media
See Clay McNab in action in AT THE DEAD OF DUSK, where he’s forced to help a young girl find her father in exchange for completing a final job. There’s monsters, magic and teenage angst galore. Buy AT THE DEAD OF DUSK today!
