You were raised in the Jedi order, Padawan of Jedi Master Obiwan Kenobi.

A/N: btw comments are the thing that gives me motivation to continue these stories so anything is appreciated <3

"Shit shit shit shit shit shit shit-" is the only thing echoing through your mind as you run through the abandoned star destroyer. You'd all been a tad bit late to the party and Wrecker's chip had taken over. He was the reason you were currently running, and now ducking from blaster bolts.

He had targeted you, since the Jedi were the clone's main priority to eliminate. You'd taken off, but didn't want to get so far ahead that he turned his attention to the others. So staying in sight but dodging open fire wasn't something you were excited about. Lightsaber whirling through the air as you duck and cover and dodge and block all the blaster bolts he was eagerly firing, luckily his name was Wrecker and not Crosshair or you'd have been dead by now.

In all honesty you were functioning and fending for your life but trying so hard not to go into a full blown panic attack. Your friend trying to gun you down, while you hadn't personally experienced it you'd been a witness. Every night when you closed your eyes had only brought visions of Cody shooting down Obi Wan, and your many other friends whom you considered family. Only an hour ago you'd dove into murky water to save Wrecker's life and here he was now trying to kill you. It wasn't his fault but it still hurts.

You're brought back from these thoughts as Wrecker shouts behind you, something about you not getting away. You can hear the others shouting, further away but still there as they tried to defend you. You didn't need them dying for you though, so you tried to keep Wrecker's attention.

"Hey-" your voice cracks. You start again, "hey! You can't catch me Wrecker! I'm a Jedi and I'm still alive, you're disobeying orders!" You taunt him, finally gaining some small sense of stability as you duck behind a crate.

You hear him growl and his booming footsteps growing closer. You couldn't take him if he got ahold of you, you knew that much. He'd fought a Rancor and won, you were basically just a kid. Sure a battle hardened veteran, knowing nothing but war your entire childhood, except for when it was kind of just tense, but still you were a kid.

You glance around you as his footsteps grow closer, there's a vent above you. You know for a fact you can fit inside, you'd hidden in them plenty of times. You use the force to pull the cover off and send it flying towards Wrecker.

As you leap up into the vent you hear a solid thud and grunt before the metal clangs to the floor. You then hear another angry shout, you'd definitely hit Wrecker. From inside the vent you crawl back the way you had come, being sure to clang around and make some noise to keep his attention. A few blaster bolts firing through the ceiling and up at you in the vent tells you that you do indeed have his attention.

Your heart is in your throat, your throat is closing up from anxiety and you can hardly breathe, you can't keep this up for much longer and you know it. The tears you've been holding back for weeks are welling in your eyes and you know once you break there will be no stopping it. You'd be too broken to defend yourself for a hot minute while you got ahold of yourself and your emotions once again.

You crawl another 30 feet, dodging the blaster bolts, except for one that grazes your leg but you're feeling so numb to everything you hardly feel it. Once you crawl another 2 feet you realize everything has stoped, Wrecker falls silent, the shooting stops and the others stop their shouting. You allow yourself to collapse to the vent floor and just lay there on the cold metal, taking heaving breaths and trying to get ahold of yourself.

"Y/n? Are you alright?" from the tone you can tell Hunter asking you this.

You take another breath before speaking, hoping to keep your voice from cracking again, "yeah I'm alright. I'm-" you pause in thought, "I'm going to stay up here a minute... at least until Wrecker's alright."

You hear some whispers before he responds, "alright." If you'd cared you would have gone and tried to hear the whispers but you didn't care at that moment. Let them say what they need too, you needed to pause even for the slightest of moments in a vent on a star destroyer, somewhere you felt protected enough to let your masks fall and the emotional dam to break.

You listen to their heavy footsteps move away, carrying Wrecker back to the medical bay, then it happens. Everything you'd been holding in comes falling out. A tear for master Obi Wan, a tear for Cody, a tear for what Cody had done to Obi Wan, a tear for each of the clones you'd been close too, and a tear for the life you had lost. The only thing you'd known and now it was gone and it was slowly setting in that you'd never be getting that back even if you still spent all your time with a different group of clones. Once the tears start you cannot stop, you stay right there on the cold, growing warm metal, creating your own little pity puddle, a puddle of your tears.

"... at least until Wrecker's alright."

Hunter goes to respond but Rex places a gentle hand on his shoulder first and shakes his head, before responding for Hunter, "alright," and you couldn't tell the difference, one of the few perks of being a clone. The two then get Wrecker up and with a nod for Omega, who'd saved the day, to follow they carry their brother to the med bay and get him in the machine to begin the surgery that would hopefully work. The surgery that hopefully wouldn't kill him.

Once Wrecker is settled Hunter turns to Rex and asks, "why'd you leave them there?"

Rex shakes his head gently, but responds, "I served around them enough to know despite their training that they need some time to themselves."

Hunter lets that sink in for a moment before nodding, he trusted Rex on this, he had hardly spent any time around the Jedi, usually their team worked alone. He didn't know enough to dispute the idea that you just needed some time. Sure, you were probably close to the same age as the Clones were, but they aged much faster than you did. You'd had as many years experience as they did, but you were still mentally and physically a child. Order 66 and all the aftermath had to have hit you harder than you let on, but Wrecker going after you had been your breaking point.

Omega is worried about you, but to her you seemed invincible always ready to face danger and sacrifice yourself for your friends. For Omega, Wrecker is the priority of her worry, she stays by his side knowing how dangerous this procedure is to him, how he might not wake back up despite their best efforts. Finally the procedure is over and now they all wait on edge to see if their friend would wake up. After what feels like forever he does, he finally wakes up and the first thing Omega does is hug him, throwing her arms around his neck as she lets out a breath of relief.

Wrecker apologizes to her, as he'd gone after her at one point, then looks up and asks, "how- how's y/n?" Sure, he remembered some stuff but you'd been in the vents, what if he'd hit you with a lucky shot? He could hardly bear the thought that he'd hurt or killed you. He quite liked you, you weren't stuck up like other Jedi, you fit in with their little family perfectly and if he'd hurt you even on accident-

He's pulled out of his thoughts by Omega answering, "y/n is still in the vent, they weren't ready to come out yet. I'm sure as soon as they're ready they'll be glad to know you're back to yourself."

That isn't the answer Wrecker wanted but his head was aching and the world was spinning so he couldn't go find you at the moment, he had to just lay back down. From there the next person is prepped for the surgery and they begin moving, going to get everyone fixed up before anything else could happen.

As soon as everyone is distracted and paying attention to the preparations being made, Omega makes her move, Hunter was fine, so now she needed to make sure you were fine. Whether you liked it or not she'd made you part of their little family, you were her sibling too, she had all her older brothers, and you.

"Y/n?" Omega's soft voice sounds below you, "can I come up?"

You don't get much of a chance to answer as next thing you know the vent in front of you opens up, and Omega crawls in. Fuck. She was also small enough to fit in the vents. "Uh," you quickly wipe your face and try to dry the puddle where your head had been, "hey- hey Omega, what's up?"

"Wrecker woke up, he's okay... I thought you should know." She settles in place, laying on her stomach and facing you, obviously not leaving.

You offer a slight smile, "okay, thanks..." you trail off not really sure what you should say, and not really in the mood to talk.

Omega obviously picks up on this since, despite being somewhat secluded all her life, she was inteligent and could somewhat read emotions despite not picking up on every little queue. "Are you alright? Wrecker didn't mean to-"

She stops as you look at her, you don't look harshly but you making eye contact once more is enough, "I know Omega. I don't blame him, it isn't his fault," you quietly say, "I don't blame him at all it's just-"

You pause wanting to backtrack, seeing the curiosity in her eyes as she innocently asks, "it's just what?"

You chew on the tip of your tongue for a moment before looking at her for a moment. It had been long enough. She was your sister. You needed to accept that you weren't a Jedi any more even if you were connected with the force. You didn't need to follow all those rules, you could accept that you cared and got attached to people. That you considered them family. And most importantly you could afford to show emotions.

You'd shown emotion anyways with Obi Wan, because you trusted him and you were only learning. You'd seen him show emotion on occasion. It's in this moment as you're facing your sister that you realize and accept the fact that you don't have to follow the Jedi code and you feel a weight lift from your shoulders.

You take a breath then say, "those chips caused me to loose everyone I was ever close too. You grew up on Kamino and never left there. That was all you knew. The Jedi Order was all that I knew," tears well up in your eyes once again but you don't try to hide them this time. "I lost all of that then to have it almost happen again, in a way, to have someone I consider a friend once again try to kill me? I just-" you take a shuddering breath as you try and ground yourself again, "the Jedi tell you to not show emotions or get attached to anyone, and I cannot help but do that, so loosing everyone, it hurt. But I've been trying to following those rules and it's just hard to change and stop it. I need to stop it if I'm going to be able to help all of you." You wipe your eyes and take another deep breath.

Omega smiles softly at you, "that makes sense, but we're family, you don't have to hold everything in."

You smile back, knowing she's trying her best to help, "yeah, it's just a matter of learning that... thanks Omega..." you pause before changing the subject, "you said that Wrecker's awake?"

"Yeah."

"Then I'm sure he's worried about me, let's climb down and I'll go see him."

Once out of the vent the two of you share a hug and it's all alright, except for the wound where the blaster bolt had grazed you which you'd been numb too until you were on your feet. Fuck. It hurt, and you'd have to get it patched up, but first you needed to make sure Wrecker was patched up.

Supreme Emperor Obi-Wan Kenobi (part 7)

"Help you how?" Master Unduli no longer sounded suspicious. Instead her voice was bland and her face was serene. She was still projecting an aura of calm even with her stance unchanged and the lightsaber held firmly in her hands. Obi-Wan wondered if he could convince her to help. She had been through an ordeal and might value freedom over further duty.

Appo and Cody were standing near the bodies on the ground. Appo had stopped his almost single minded trek towards Vader and was looking at him. Appo was still upset though no longer crying. His jaw was clenched and his hands were in fists. Cody had turned towards Obi-Wan when he had first started speaking. His right hand was gripping Appo's neck. He looked . Bail just looked quizzical.

All of them were waiting on a response to the question. Obiwan knew he had to convince them and though it might have been best to take a few seconds to gather his thoughts and come up with the universe's most persuasive argument he couldn't wait. He had no time,

"We need to begin by dechipping every clone trooper. There are approximately 35000 troopers permanently stationed on Coruscant plus 6000 from Vader's 2 battalions. And, one million troopers that can be called to the planet within the hour. There are 7823 medidroids that can begin to immediately perform the surgery. In less than one day we can free almost half the clones serving the empire." He knew his numbers were a little off as he had not been giving the research his full attention while he was waiting on the outcome from the surgeries.

Obi-Wan started pacing. He focused on Cody. "Commander, we can do the surgeries in the senate halls. Force knows this building is big enough. We will have to start slow, so that we can deal with any emotional fall out when the troopers remember what they were forced to do when they were MINDCONTROLLED."

Obi-Wan had to pause to take a deep breath and try to calm down. He turned to Commander Appo, "We can begin with the troopers standing out in the middle chamber. We need to set up a command structure with a clear message -'You were not at fault.' And, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, but I will need as many people helping as possible. I wouldn't even think of asking otherwise, and, of course, they are free to say no, everyone is free to say no, but we need the skills of the troopers. We need to ask them if they will stay and work with us to undo all of the Sith's plans."

He couldn't tell what the commanders were thinking. Obi-Wan's heart was racing. He felt so mercenary. His mind was going a mile a minute. He knew he was panicking and he needed to stop. This was too important. Everyone in the room had to stay and help. The commanders would have to convince the other troopers to help. Bail would have to convince other senators, and rebels. He moved to where Bail was standing.

"Bail surely you must have some ideas of how we can undo all of the laws that allowed Sidious to take over, remove the corruption from the senate, judiciary system, and the military, free captured Jedi, remove all unjust laws, and grant autonomy to all empire slaves. You must have friends with ideas. We can bring the republic back. We can make the republic better."

"Would you really give up power?" Bail asked. He sounded sceptical.

"Of course I would! I do not want to rule. No Jedi wanted to take over the senate. That was one of Sidious' lies. Had I not needed the troopers to stop trying to kill me, I never would have taken over for Palpatine."

Obi-Wan was so scared that he wouldn't get through to them, to any one. He couldn't stop pacing. He felt like one of those toys the way his head kept turning, trying to look in their eyes. He felt like he was vibrating. "We have to start. I don't know how many failsafe's and boobytraps Sidious might have, or how we can organize to pull this off. We have to find other people we can trust. But we have a chance now! We can do it. I know we can. We have to trust in the force."

He did not go to Master Unduli. She was still radiating calm. He wanted to sink into it. His shields felt like they were in tatters. He'd raised them. He'd meant to raise them but sometime in the last couple of minutes they'd cracked. He hadn't been this open since the destruction of the Jedi and the fight with An..Vader. What was she getting from him?

Master Unduli lowered her arm and turned off the lightsaber. She did not release it but she did stand up straight. Her face was no longer serene. There was more warmth on her features.

"That will be... a lot of work." She noted.

"Yes," Obi-Wan replied. "And we only have about a week."

"Why?" Bail's confusion was understandable.

"I know I can keep Vader asleep for at least a week as I have done it before when, when, Anakin was a padawan and injured on a mission. I put him in a healing trance and helped him sleep. I do not know..I cannot imagine...We have to plan for the possibility that that may be as long as he can stay asleep. So, we have a week to fix everything."

"Trust in the force, Master Kenobi. We can figure it out." Master Unduli sounded confident.

"I can drum up help from some of the senators. There are a lot of laws that I've wanted to strike from the record for a while now. But," here Bail paused for a second thinking, "we cannot remove all of the emperor's powers from you, Obi-Wan. Not until after you've pushed through all our reforms. It will be too easy for Palpatine's supporters to vote against the best interest of the Republic. Sad to say but one person must continue to hold the ultimate paower until we fix this mess."

"Well if it has to be anybody, I'm glad that it's you." That declaration of faith from Commander Cody stole Obi-Wan's ability to talk. He felt like he had been struck dumb.

"We should begin removing the chips from the others. If we are ever going to be free we have to know what we should be fighting for. And, we have to know who to trust." Commander Appo turned again to look at Vader.

"Do not worry Commander Appo. We are going to dismantle this corrupt system and replace it with something better. This time no one will be able to stop us." Master Unduli sounded so sure.

"Does this mean that you are going to help me? All of you?" Obi-Wan clarified. There was no room for mistakes or misapprehensions.

They all nodded.

"I never thought we would ever have a chance at a bloodless coup. We would all be fools not to take what the force has given us." Bail said. "We need to strategize, come up with a plan of action and a timeline to complete it in. You say you can only hold Vader under for an hour. Maybe we can see if we can find something else, some drug that may work as well. Until then, we have a hard time limit. Luckily I am in a room with two of the best generals of the republic and two of the best commanders. We can do this!"

It was obvious why Bail Organa was a senator who could navigate the world of empire politics and being a rebel. He knew how and when to rally others.

Nothing had been resolved but Obi-Wan still breathed easier. They were going to do this.

OBI-WAN KENOBI

WHY I LIKE THEMI’m going to be honest, in the beginning I did not like Obi-Wan Kenobi one bit. I really disliked the “certain point of view” bullshit he fed Luke in Return of the Jedi. Even as a little kid I felt like that was an adult making up an excuse for flat out lying. I didn’t like him in the prequels either. He seemed like a nagging pain in the ass.

So what turned me around? The Clone Wars. That show took time and care to develop Obi-Wan into a truly fascinating character. Strong yet vulnerable, unwavering yet wounded, compassionate, kind, and intuitive yet unable to protect the people closest to him. Landing at Point Rain was the tipping point. That episode changed everything and made me love Obi-Wan.

All I have to say is God bless Dave Filoni. Clone Wars, and Obi-Wan in particular, reignited a passion for Star Wars that was so strong I had to start this blog so I had a place to put all my feelings.

WHY I DON’TI don’t like the way Obi-Wan withheld information from Luke. We’re talking vital information that could have saved a lot of people from a lot of pain. I will never ever ever be ok with “What I told you was true from a certain point of view.” No, it was a flat out lie. You just didn’t want to say the truth out loud. I understand why you did it, Obi-Wan, but I still think it was wrong.

FAVORITE EPISODEI have many favorite episodes. But let’s say Revenge, followed closely by Revival, then Landing at Point Rain, the Mandalore Arc… and the Kadavo arc.

HEAD CANONI think my fan fics make it perfectly clear: Obi-Wan rekindled his relationship with Satine and when she was murdered the trauma pushed him over the edge, causing him to fall to the darkside before going on a rampage…and I’ll stop there before I give too much away.

UNPOPULAR OPINIONObi-Wan is a terrible communicator in the Prequels (he’s not great in Clone Wars but he’s a lot better). A lot of carnage might have been avoided if only Obi-Wan had been better about blunt, open communication instead of using the typical hyperbolic Jedi drudgery.

A WISHThat Obi-Wan Kenobi was a real person. And/Or that Rey is somehow a Kenobi.

AN OH-GOD-PLEASE-DON’T-EVER-HAPPENPlease, if there’s an Obi-Wan movie, don’t destroy him the way you destroyed Luke in The Last Jedi. That was really devastating for me and if that happened to Obi-Wan I might actually drop dead from sadness.

Up until this point, I'd been the UN to his Iraq. I ended up picking a fight I couldn't possibly win due to forgetting that this faction had a defensive pact with one of the Galactic superpowers. Told my friend, who was relatively new to the game as this was his second session ever, that if he joined the war we'd both be able to win. My ulterior motive, though, was literally just to use him as a distraction until I could sue for a white peace. -Cody and obis relationship ramps up and cody is distracted while Rex snoops around and starts to translate padmes letters to the organas

-padmé was not writing about diamonds she was writing about a boy!!

-Cody finds a drawing of anakin in obis room, recognizes him but doesn’t put together that it’s the kid who hired him 5 years ago for the bank job.

-obi talks about anakin and how he was adopted at nine from quigon, cody notes that leia is also adopted??

-Rex and Cody grow apart and Rex follows through with padmes letters which are about falling in love (and possibly getting pregnant?)

-Obi finally opens up to cody and talks about anakin getting involved with a woman he had no social status to wed

-Maul finds Rex and delivers a letter from Palpatine stating the obvious: He’ll come for the Fett’s family if they don’t bring the Skywalkers back “alive and unharmed” (what?)

-Rex and Cody get into a big fight and Cody breaks in anger and tells Rex that he’d do anything to protect him, all he wants to do is protect his kids. Oh… Cody realizes, this is all about protecting kids, the Skywalkers are not diamonds, duh.

-Now that they know, the brothers go first to Maul who says he didn’t know they were after kids the whole time, he delivers messages and only came bc he wanted to see Obi again

-Rex leaves, and Cody, using the fact that he and Maul have feelings for Obi-wan, convinces Maul to leave for london immediately with the information that the Fetts have the twins and will be ready to hand them over

-Back at the house Rex and Cody talk about how they’re not gonna kidnap anyone, no way

-Feeling bad for the way their relationship has deteriorated, Rex confesses that it was actually Jango who got Codys prison sentence shortened but didn’t want to tell him cause their family’s not great at talking.

-Point is though, Codys family loves him, and they’re who he’s always going to choose

-Cody finds Obiwan and confesses point blank. He’s honest about why he’s there: Boba is sick. And what he wanted: diamonds, absolutely not any kids

-Obiwan doesn’t immediately freak out, he’s just hurt that everything’s been a lie. He is upset though, and doesn’t return the sentiment when Cody tells him he loves him, Cody doesn’t really mean this, he says it as a reaction.

-It’s also explained that ObiWan has only been hiding in his house this whole time to keep up the myth of the diamonds, word got out that padme gave something called the skywalkers to him after she died, but not /what/

-They turned the rumor into valuable diamonds and Luke and Leia were split up for safekeeping, ObiWans been doing his part to keep the story as is.

-Without laying out his plan yet, Cody goes to sleep and is woken in the middle of the night by Obiwan who gets in bed with him and spends the night, they don’t talk, and in the morning there’s a letter and two diamonds on Codys bedside, Obiwans long gone

-Fetts return to London!

-Codys got two diamonds, and does not underestimate Jango in the way Palpatine has

-They go to their dad and tell him to get ready because they’re about to piss of the biggest politician in London

-Codys plan is still unknown but he wants to meet with Palpatine alone, he says goodbye to Rex in an ominous way and tells him to take care of the family, then brings a gun with him

-Palpatine is clearly one of the only people who knows the skywalkers are the queens children, this information can’t really be proven without the kids to ransome off (the palace probably knows and would be willing to pay)

-When Cody arrives Palpatine is flanked by Maul and a man in all black

-Once Palpatine realizes that Cody and Maul lied he threatens to wipe out the Fetts and tells the man in black to kill Cody, Cody also gets his gun knocked out of his hand

-The man in black in Anakin and Cody tells him that he remembers him (from the bank heist) which gets Anakin to pause

-Cody tells him he’s sorry that he never got to be a father and talks about how wonderful Luke and Leia are

-Anakin is conflicted and can’t quite pull the trigger while Cody is talking about his kids

-Palpatine gets angry and says he’ll do it himself only-

-Maul shoots Palpatine dead and tells Cody to run, he’s taken all the blame for this whole mess and now Anakin watched him murder Palpatine, why he does this is unclear, but his unrequited love for Obi-Wan might have had something to do with it

-Cody takes the two diamonds and runs, he makes it back to his family and they escape London

-There was a subplot about Fives being accused of a crime he didn’t commit and being missing ever since his brothers broke him out of jail

-While Palpatine was threatening the Fetts he says something like “And don’t think the little one in Paris is safe either” meaning Fives is likely in Paris

-Rex heads off to Paris and before he leaves he talks to Cody about his sexuality and makes sure he knows that he doesn’t care, he loves him no matter what

-Cody ends up finding Fox and joining up with him as a partner at the law firm where he makes forgeries and fake marriage documents, some even for gay couples.

-Jango and Boba move out to the country which the money from the two diamonds, and Bobas lungs are cured, he grows up happy with his father

-Fourteen years later Luke finds Cody, still working with Fox and thanks him for saving his life

-He wants Cody to come back with him because Obi-Wan still talks about Cody and Luke has been trying to reunite them ever since he got old enough to travel on his own

-Cody is doubtful, but after some convincing from Rex, follows Luke back to Saltcoats where he also meets Leia

-The final scene is Cody walking up some stairs to Obi-Wans study

-Obiwan thinks it’s Luke and asks, back turned, if Luke likes the arrangement of the bouquet of pink roses on his windowsill

-Cody says they look beautiful
