Hello! I’m going to be posting some of the things I had written on my old blog! I’ll make this like a series of some sorts.

Request: Hiii!! I’m not sure if your asks are open or not, but I was wondering if I could get some headcanons of Captain Barnacles x female!reader? I really love your work!! <3

Yes you can! I’m to kinda like rewrite this in a way. same headcanons and everything just written in my current skill level and everything! I hope you enjoy!

-Barnacles would be a huge cuddle bug. No matter where you are what you’re doing, he will always want to cuddle you. (And he’s a polar bear so he’s super soft and fluffy)

-Barnacles is a very clingy polar bear. He always needs to be touching you. (Not in a naughty way ofc.) Just holding hands or clinging to your arm. He’s super sweet though and would give you space if you want/need it!

-We all know this man loves hot chocolate, he would definitely bring you a cup everytime he makes himself some. And if you didn’t want it, he would get really sad and pout and you would end up drinking because he’s adorable and you don’t like seeing him sad. 

-Barnacles has family in the Arctic, I bet he would really like it if you wanted to meet his sister and niece and nephew. And if you don’t, that’s also okay too. He would be a little upset but he understands that you might not be ready.

-We’ve seen how good Barnacles is with his niece and nephew, so I think this behavior goes for other kids too. like Peso’s little brother. Or Dashi’s little sister. He would be extremely gentle with them and if they have any questions about how being the Captain is he would gladly answer! If you and Barnacles ever decide to adopt or have children yourselves, he would be the best father the ocean has ever seen.

-I personally think Barnacles is on the chuckier side of things. So he would be rather squishy and soft. He would absolutely LOVE it if you would run your hands up and down his body. His favorite spots are his arms, tummy, head, and face. make sure you give him a little squish when you do this. It with make blush like crazy. You’ll think he’s a red panda instead of a polar bear.

-Introduce him to some of the things you enjoy. If you enjoy reading manga or anime or stuff along these lines, show him your favorites! He would be a little confused and ask alot of questions at first but would get to intrigued. And possibly become ever more of a fan than you.

Hey guys long time no see o/ Anyways, does anyone remember "Bo on the Go" or "El Payaso Plim Plim" (The clown Plim Plim(?)) because those were and still some of the best shows and I love them.

#I was at my cousin's and they wanted to watch some stuff and a flood of childhood shows came to mind so #like there's the classics like Barney and Octonaunts and the pink panther #but. I barely know people who have watched “El Pájaro Loco” (The crazy bird?) and as mentioned “El Payaso Plim Plim” #anyways sorry for not posting a usual Badboyhalo post um. ^^“

So I used to watch Octonaunts when I was little and OMG I love some of the character redesigns y’all folks have done

I know and like the old chibi designs from the show but I really love the more anthro takes ppl have made with the characters just makes it feel so fresh and like they really do come from more of a world with intelligent talking animals.

Like I love the idea on giving Kwazii more of a tabby pattern and not to mention everyone having their own uniform designs (Because come-on, Barnacles wears one and everyone else is just a half dressed cartoon animal with boots and a helmet so it’s a nice change of pace and I love it.)

Same goes for some of the side characters, like I saw somebody do Calico Jack as an actual calico cat and I really like the idea of it. Even if male calico cats are extremely rare, I feel it makes him stand out more as a character and even adds to his whole pirate theme.

In other words, thank you guys for sharing a childhood with me and your amazing interpretations of the characters.

It has been on my mind about what ship tropes I like.

I believe one of them is tank x medic/healer

Also with the tank x medic/healer the tank is in a way a bear and and the healee/medic is a bird.

How did this happen and come to this conclusion?

Well I ship caption barnicals and paso (I believe they are all around the same age. I also don't know their true age but I believe all octonaunts are all in the same age area) if you know are a polar bear and a penguin. I also have another ship of heavy and medic from TF2. Heavy is considered a serberian bear and medic is considered a dove(due to obsession of doves. I do see medic as a dove anyway but the crazy doctor one)

I just wanted to say this due to the similarities of the 2 ships I can see dispite the complete difference of fandom types.

Yes, of course I can! This is a very interesting thing. I've never heard about Kwazii being trans, but I really like it! Being transmasc myself. Anyway, let's get started.

Kwazzii's Pov

"Hey, maties, can we all talk for a minute? I have something really important to tell you." I never thought I would be having this talk with them. I never thought I would actually come out to anyone once I transitioned. I was to scarred what their reactions would be. We all have our little dabbles in the LGBTQIA+.... other than Inkling, but this was still scary.

Everyone looked at me, giving me their full, undivided attention. Which made me more nervous. I felt my paws start to sweat; my anxiety taking over. I started to stutter, "I- uhm, I've been wanting to tell you guys this for a while, but I was scared too." They all looked at me worried. "Kwazii, are you alright?" Peso asked me, walking over to me and grabbing my paw. I smiled at him but didn't say anything. Him being close to me and holding my paw gave me more confidence. "Yes, I'm fine, there's nothing wrong, really." I heard them all realize a sigh of relief. "What I wanted to tell you is that...." I trailed off. I want.. I need to tell them about this. They deserve to know. "It's alright, Kwazii. we won't judge you or bully you for what you're going to say." Cap'n says. I sighed. "I know that Cap'n, it's just scary. But I can do it. Okay, uhm. I wanted to say that I'm.. trans. Transmasc." I say quite fast and little under my breath, but they heard me. They didn't walk away or make disgusted faces or anything. They just walked over to me and gave me a group hug and told me how proud they were of me. I felt myself start to tear up. I'm so happy, my friends.. family love me for me.

i think above and beyond would do better if it had the formula of the og show. Everything feels really fast pace compare to the original show.

Like, way too many characters introduced. Min was suppose to be introduce in season 5 but because it wasn't released in English, we don't really get to see her introduction. Then we just thrown a new character and another one and its a little overwhelming to keep up.

I also do feel like this a lot of repeated plots in Above and Beyond? They feel very similar in a sense where natural diaster happens, get stuck, wait for help, the animal injured.

The situations the original series were at least different with what the animal was. They would be stuck behind ice, escaping from underwater magna loosing something, heck the octonaunts themselves would get helped by them.

And probably the one thing I miss the most is the original crew being together. Inkling doesn't really doesn't get much focus. Barnacles.. man he doesn't even go out much. He was so sad that no one needed his help. He wants to go out. Sure the new character dynamics with the characters are fun but I really do miss the original crews interacting and just laughing, eating and joking with each other
