Write your RPer Resolutions for 2024! (What are some goals for yourself as a writer? Improve descriptions? Plot with more members? Etc.)

Once again, I am asking myself to learn how to plot. That is going to be the theme here, just wait. Seriously though, I am pretty terrible at it. I do not like to approach people because I am........... idk weird. I am somehow anti-social even online and tend to just sit there twiddling my thumbs instead of reaching out. It's been a problem for me for literally ever. Sometimes I even get scared when people reach out to ME. But one year maybe we will get there. I also want to get back to regular activity. I've been really slipping these past few ... well, years I feel. I want to be more consistent at the very least, and not just post, disappear, spam, disappear, etc. I know I say this every time - but maybe just once: do a big plot. Do a big plot for yourself buddy. You can do it. Best Supporting character's get a sequel spin-off series one day, right. Just do it. JUST DO IT. I also feel like my writing recently compared to years ago has gotten poorer in quality. Idk what that's all about but I would like to improve that. Make proofreading a thing for me again 2024 or whatever.

Oh - you....... you think I have GOALS? (tbh I think they align with my character's own. We're on the SAME TEAM)

Greg: RECONNECT WITH HIS PARENTS. This was like a silent plot I started literally over a year ago where Gregory got more and more distant with his parents until they stopped talking entirely and he moved out to live at R2F. He's been on and off about trying to reach out - and this is the year to do it. Also probably come to terms a bit more with his relationship with Zero. He's comfortable in it and loves Zero very much - but there's that voice in the back of his mind still saying that he'll leave. Sebastian: Get over his crush on Lo that he did to himself. I want him to fully accept uncle life. To get over his fear of hurting people. Milo: BREAK. HIS. CURSE. .........nah. That's not my goal for him this year lmfao. I want him to find his passion, actually. Will it be in working out and being a jock? Does he actually have a fond passion for cooking? Does he yearn for theater? Fawn: Get her into TROUBLE. I didn't really do much with this yet, but she's a TROUBLE MAKER. She's nearly been kicked out the hollow for god's sake. She is a TERROR. It's time to UNLEASH IT.

Greg: Reconnect and apologize to his parents - but to do that... kick the minor drug problem first. Sebastian: Don't die. (.....i can't stress enough this man doesn't have outlooks) Milo: BREAK. MY. CURSE. Fawn: Discover a new creature in Enchantra! Befriend the creature! Train the creature! Sick the creature on Eboshi so it eats her and the forest is free again :)

Clarion: For obvious reasons, and also as stated above - Fawn is on mighty thin ice in the Hollow, so I think any interactions between them would be great and funny. And........ well maybe she gets kicked out oops. Doc: I'm not counting twitter interactions - I just think because of the whole Luca thing, I feel like Doc has flip flopped on his opinion of Milo multiple times and it would be funny for them to finally meet and talk. (and prove he's a good boi!) Any of TAM'S characters strictly because - I believe u have escaped me so far. Eluded. (That's not hard, as we discussed in point 1 I am very inconsistent) That should change!! ....I am sure the format of this post is very enticing...... sorry.

Talk a bit about your plotting style – what plots are you most drawn to? Do you prefer to come with a fully-formed idea and plot off that, or throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks?

And here dear reader we return to the beginning again. Roll credits: oh man, I simply do not. I am by default a 'buckle your seatbelts and lets just see wtf happens' kind of person simply because I am SO BAD at plotting in the first place! So many of my 'plots' revolve around other people's well equipped talents, or throwing my characters at opens/events/etc and seeing what disaster strikes. I'm just doing drive bys at all times of day.

Talk a bit about character relationships – what relationships are you most drawn to? How do you prefer to approach shipping (if at all!)? What, specifically, are you looking for right now for your character relationships?

I love just good old fashion friendship and family relationships! Like I adore the relationship Milo has with Pip/King/Luca. The Greg/Jun relationship, Sebby and his bros. I think it's pure and good and writing BFFs getting into dumb things is my favorite. I also like BEEF. I am a fan of rough-housing so to speak. Drama? Sure. Pile it up. Beef? Grudges. Fights. Whatever. It is okaaaaay. I love a good ol' beefin' between people. Same as above. I barely plot as it is - but when I do, it's definitely not relationships/shipping. In fact, I don't really 'ship'. i don't plan around ships, I don't get characters for ships, I don't anticipate ships. If one develops while throwing fruit--- I mean characters at other people, then that's great! That's how.......... both of my current relationships are! Phineas and Fawn were completely random and not at all my intention but they vibed from the start and it happened to work out in the timeline. Gregory and Zero were incredibly unlikely but started talking here and there, and Z and I didn't really say........ anything to each other at all until they were kissing in Pixie's and even then - we didn't think they'd become a #thing. ..........which they did. So I'm pretty much just...... looking to expand on the ones I have? Explore Phawneas a bit and see what on earth is going on inside their head, see where Glo takes us. ............figure out if Seahound can survive not jumping each other's bones forever.

Plotting Exercise! Pick one of the resolutions/goals in #3 and plan a rough guideline to how you could accomplish it.

GREG TALKS TO HIS PARENTS:

GREGORY and ZERO have a discussion post-Zero's parents coming to town, where ZERO tries to prod about what is going on between GREG and his parents, and Greg comes clean to him about the fight that happened between them. Zero gently offers to go with him to talk to them but Greg doesn't think it's time yet.

Still too uncertain, GREG asks IAN if his mum has said anything about Aubrey, or about Greg. He tries to gauge if his parents have been talking about him to their friends, if they're upset, or if they've moved on.

PLOT CALL: Gregory anonymously looks into sources for mental health, and tries to find people with experience in the same struggles he's had. He either forms or joins an anonymous online/twitter support group for such problems / group therapy.

Having overheard various times through the grapevine, GREG finds and approaches TAD to see if he can talk to him about his recovery and sobriety and find advice/guidance for that path.

Knowing that he might get the most brutal honest answers, GREG confides in JUN and asks his advice on what he should do or how he should handle it.

GREG finally bites the bullet and drags JUN and ZERO to his parents house for support to talk to them again after over a year of radio silence.

PHEW. A tough one.

Usually the alpha was the most caring person with you. Bringing you flowers and spending as much time with you as possible. When the fights between several packs reached his land he knew dangerous times were coming.

Instead of talking to you and taking you to the meetings he decided it would be safer for you to stay in your house guarded when the attacks began.

Little did he know that you were tired of not being included and as the luna of the pack it was time to use your own power to help. Hong Joong was in a full fighting and killing mode when you were circled by five other werewolves who tried to kill you without mercy.

Hong Joong‘s senses were blended when he launched at the intruders and absentmindedly also accidentally bit your leg earning him a painful cry from your wolf.

Immediately he felt like his heart shuttered to pieces not knowing you would be out here in the battlefield. You limp away from your mate and run back to your mansion. Hong Joong changes back into his human and sags to the ground.

He still cannot fully control himself. That’s why he didn’t want you to help. He cries out and lays down on the grass not knowing if he could get under your eyes again.

Running away from a horde of big - way too big - wolves wasn’t what you planned for your camping trip. It was easy the third time you stumbled over your own feet hearing the low growls behind you. Your blood seems to freeze when you emerge a wide meadow where the only source of light is given by the full moon.

Tears escape your eyes when another whimper leaves you - they circled you. Was this a normal behavior for wolves? What should you do in a situation like this?

You’re only in a light see-through gown because of the hot temperatures these days. It feels like the wolves are strategizing at how they share gazes and let out noises that could be mistaken as chuckling.

Suddenly one of them jumps on you pinning you down to the ground. The animal is flashing it’s dangerous canines at your shaking form. You cannot help yourself to frantically scream and try to push it off you.

It seems to lower itself only more and out of instinct you bare your neck fearing this would be the end for you. The wolf sniffles and licks the spot under your ear. A tear runs down you cheek when you can feel a sharp pain where he draws a little bit of blood.

Suddenly it is pushed off you with force and a much stronger growl leaves a completely black wolf that’s is standing in front of you. You follow the scene in front of you with interested eyes when the other wolves seem to bow down in submission and quickly vanish out of the scene.

Great. The big bad wolf wants you for himself.

It really confuses you when the wolf slowly turns around eying you for a while. You try to get away from it when it nears your form and leans down to lick away the blood that is running down your neck. Again a sound of pain leaves your form to which the wolf backs away in an instant.

A huff can be heard and with conflicted eyes it turns around to escape the scene.

„Why are you running away from me?“ No answer.

„Do you like being chased?“ You still don’t answer.

„Okay, (y/n). We know it since three days so why are you not recognizing our bond?“

A tear escapes you which you’re quick to wipe away with the back of your shaking hand. You stop abruptly staring into the depths of the forest. Your gaze turns to the ground when you can sense Yun Ho moving to stand in front of you.

„My little mate. Why aren’t you talking to me? Did I do something wrong?“

„Wrong?“ You look up your hands turning into fists out of anger. Your chest rises with your breaths and you can feel your body heating up.

Yun Ho‘s playful smile soon vanishes and he starts to look concerned. „My love, why are you so sad?“

Of course your souls are already starting to form a connection and he feels your emotions.

„You’re asking if you did something wrong? How about hanging out with all the people that have nothing but bad comments about me left? Laughing at me? Hurting me whenever they can?“

Yun Ho starts to realize what you’re talking about.

„You’ve hurt me, so much already. That is not easy to accept.“

You can feel his eyes burning on your back since half an hour. The beta next to you shamelessly flirts around although he knows your mate is sitting back with his friends.

Yeo Sang was one of the more roguish wolves in your pack always tending to not listen to any orders or picking a fight. Finding out about your bond was actually really shocking to you. You’re probably one of the nicest girls in the pack - according to folks. Always dressed in some pretty dress or blouse and never a too low neckline.

Your connection was still fresh and so far you managed to have the minimum contact with the trouble maker. Just to the point of tonight where the younger people of your pack met up for a campfire and some drinks.

„Wanna take a swim?“ You blush at his words but take his hand anyway letting him guide you through the trees. Standing in front of the lake and seeing that the beta ist already getting rid of his clothes makes you feel bad. He’s smirking at you.

„I don’t know if this is ok...“ Suddenly the beta gets a blow into the face by one of Yeo Sang‘s friends and two of them start to secure the beta in his holds. You’re overwhelmed with the situation immediately and Yeo Sang‘s eyes are dangerously yellow. He gets a painful hold on your wrist screaming at you but you’re not in the position to answer him.

„Y - you’re hurting me.“ Yeo Sang‘s mouth twitches at your words and with a hiss he let’s go of your arm ordering his friends to take you to his home.

The beta spits out blood laughing at the remaining guys and Yeo Sang.

„Great. Now she fears you even more.“ Yeo Sang punches him again knowing he’s right. He lets out a frustrated sigh condemning his short temper.

It was San‘s highest priority to keep the daughter of their alpha safe. Naturally he was always by your side following you around sometimes to your dismay.

This night you were able to shake the boy off and visit a club with your friends in the town nearby. Mostly humans could be seen here and you finally were able to let loose.

Shaking your body from left to the right you can feel a pair of arms sneaking around your waist to move you to the rhythm with him. Your head falls back landing on the shoulder of your dance partner a permanent smirk on his face.

It all happens to fast when you can feel someone ripping you out of the grip of the stranger. You fall down to the ground hurting your knee in the process. Hissing out you can see your friends immediately rushing to your side while you give the intruder a deadly glare.

San doesn’t stop to give the beautiful man punches when you’re quick to stand up and pry him off the man. San‘s eyes turn into a dangerous color when he eyes you an you know you better get out off here before he looses himself fully.

Outside he has a strong grip on your arm and ushers you into his car. The night flys by while a soft tune is humming. You’re so pissed at him that you decide to better not say anything. Suddenly he speaks up: „You’re letting vampires touch you now? Yeah? The daughter of the alpha is getting it on with vampires!“

„I - I didn’t know he was a - “

„Of course you didn’t! You are so young and literally know nothing!“

After a while of silence you turn to him a sigh escaping you. „I am sorry, San. Thank you for rescuing me...“

His gaze is fixed on the street and he can feel his heart and soul pulling on a bond that is still not touchable for you.

„It is my job to look after you. I failed...“

„No! You didn’t! I promise I won’t ever run away from you again!“ Silence follows but with a last glance San frowns deeply.

„Your knee... this will be a problem when we’re back.“

„Yes, Min Gi! Just a little bit - closer!“ The wolf under you grunts while balancing you on his shoulders.

Your fingers are close to the fruit that is considered very rare in the realm. Your fingers are close to touching the fruit when suddenly your self made latter shakes and both of you fall down with a low thud.

„Ouch! Min Gi!“ The wolf‘s head hurts and his vision blurrs but hearing your crying he quickly stands up on his paws and howls out.

His tail is wiggling excited while he licks your face and tries to comfort you.

„I - I think my wrist is twisted.“ Tears are running down your cheeks while Min Gi suddenly changes back into his human form a frown on his face.

„Oh my god, I am so sorry!“ He frantically turns from left to right gripping his hair out of frustration. „What should I do what should I do!“

„Min Gi!“ You say through gritted teeth trying to hold in the pain. „Calm down and take me back to the pack!“

Min Gi wears a blank face hurt because he hurt you.

„Min Gi!“

He shakes his head to get a clear mind and sends you a firm nod. „Right. Back to the pack!“

You and Woo Young often played around in your wolf form chasing each other in the forest. Of course your animal instinct pushed you to little fights from time to time doesn’t matter if it is your mate.

Usually the fights always ended in the two of you changing back into your human body and starting a heated session.

This time unfortunately Woo Young pushed you a little bit to hard against the tree earning him a painful howl out of you. First you can hear him jumping around snickering for winning the battle but when you’re still lying down not moving much he slowly emerges your side tilting his head confused.

„(y/n)?“ He nudges your side with his snout trying to get a response from you but you keep breathing hard letting out little whimpers.

„(y/n)?! Are you hurt?“ Immediately his playful demeanor is gone and he changes back into his human form to search your body for any injuries.

„Oh shit! Change back! Come on!“ He’s totally devastated by now trying to caress you and encourage you with slow motions. You’re a crying mess when you’re back in your naked form.

„Woo Young... my b-back...“ He’s quick to pick you up bridal style and carry you past the trees in a lightning speed.

„Hold on a little bit longer, sweetheart.“ His firm voice and determined gaze really does it‘s wonders and you try to hang on to it until you reach the hospital.

Jong Ho could only snicker how you always managed to get out of his way. The campus was big and you really thought the handsome male that just happened to cross your way out of pure coincidence. Of course Jong Ho made sure to follow your every step because he just couldn’t help himself.

Finally finding his mate filled his body with adrenaline and having you not in the eye sight drove him crazy. The only problem that stopped him from immediately getting to you: you’re human. Probably not knowing about the world of magic and their creatures.

It was just the problem that you happened to have a boyfriend and one day it was too late for self control when he had the boy pinned to the wall in one of the cafeterias of the campus.

„Stay away from her!“ Your boyfriend shuddered at the low growl that came from the boy in front of him not knowing the slightest what he did wrong when he just gave a you peck on the cheek.

You screamed and kicked at him not knowing what happened a few seconds ago. When he suddenly turns around leaving you dumbfounded and all the others in the location you decide you wouldn’t let him go this easily.

You follow him and don’t even recognize that he’s going into the woods. He stops in his tracks when you don’t stop talking and you can see him breathing hard. Jong Ho tries to control his feelings but the frustration is taking over and when you try to turn him around by his shoulder he accidentally pushes you.

Your head collides with a stone and blood can be seen leaving the desperate wolf speechless. He runs to your side trying to wake you up but he’s getting no reaction out of your form. With tears pricking his eyes he’s quick to carry you to his pack to help you knowing it is now to late for you to turn back.

Destiel Chronicles

Vol. XXXII

It was a love story from the very beginning.

Foreshadow of a broken heart

(8x03/8x04/8x06/8x06)

Hello my dears, this is gonna be just a short meta, talking about some things I noticed in couple of episodes, showing us this was gonna be a broken heart season.

First of all, I want to say thank you to my friend @agusvedder , she made the gifs for this meta and discussed with me the episodes.

Let's start...

Broken Hearts

I will talk first about episode 8x03 Heartache.

Remember that episode about the god CACAO?

Okay, when it starts, we had this scene...

So, the scene is very gore and graphic. The guy rips man's heart, and is important not just for this episode, but as a foreshadow of the crypt scene... Literally we'll have Castiel ripping Dean's heart there, and you know why. So... The writers are presenting here such a graphic scene that represents symbolically, what is about to happen next in the season.

A brief note right here, just as a little funny foreshadow, there's a nightclub in the episode named BUNNY HOLE, recalling u to Bugs Bunny, Looney Toons... The incoming Hunter Heroici episode, with the psychic and the cartoons.

Now .. let's come back to Sam and Dean, they sneak into Betsy bedroom and they found out a a lot of love letters... So the scene starts like this...

And then we had Sam and Dean reading the huge amount of love letter, the guy wrote those each day to his beloved Betsy... It sounds familiar, uh? Remember the whole... "I prayed to you, Cas, every night" thing? I told that was ROMANTIC.

Now, may I say the whole romance between Betsy and Cacao is a Destiel parallel and just in the portion when they're talking about a millennial warrior that fell in love with a mortal human... Mmmmmm

Let's jump now to episode 8x04 Biten.

This is a great episode about warewolves and EATEN HEARTS! (Again... Talking about ripped hearts, and now eaten hearts... Graphical!!)

We are witnessing how a young man in love with a young girl become slowly into a warewolf. A monster... And in the same episode we had this funny/not so funny scene...

Dean calling himself a monster is a foreshadow of Demon!Dean.

Now... Another little thing about this episode...

It looks like Wincest, isn't? But no... Who were separated for a year? Who wrote love letters/prayed every night till he found his angel? So there he have how THIS IS CONSIDERATE AS A LOVE MATTER. Writers are telling us in these two episodes I'm talking THE WHOLE DEAN LOOKING FOR HIS ANGEL AND PRAYING FOR HIM EVERY NIGHT IS THE SAME THING THAT WRITE LOVE LETTERS EVERY DAY TO YOUR LOVER AND BEING SEPARATED FOR A YEAR AND THEN FIND YOUR ANGEL AFTER SEARCHING DESPERATELY FOR HIM IS CONSIDERATE ROMANTIC.

Okay, we get it...

Because you saved the man I love

The last episode I'm gonna talk about is 8x05 Blood Brother.

Benny came back and found his old best, he gets badly wounded, and he asks Dean for help.

There's this curious scene that maybe will make you recall another similar... I mean... Is a blatant parallel...

Benny coming out the bathroom, is like Cas coming out the bathroom in 8x07, but Dean's reaction will be different.. is a parallel writers put here for us to see the difference between BRO REACTION AND SO SO I LOVE THAT I'M HAVING A BONER REACTION.

Dean insists in helping Benny and Benny knows Dean is loyal to his friends...

BENNY: Oh, your work here is done, Dean. You already saved the day. You know, I got my, uh, deal, and you got – what'd you call it? A family business?

DEAN: Benny. What's going on?

BENNY: You and that whole "friend" thing, man.

He knows about Dean's loyalty to his friends, of course, but he also knows ... Cas was a very special friend to Dean... And you'll see what I'm talking about in a minute...

I found very interesting this quote right here between the Father and Benny...

BENNY: Why didn't you let her die? She meant nothing to you.

BENNY’S MAKER: But she meant everything to you (...)

Why is that interesting? Because when Dean and Benny are in the boat coming back, this dialogue is played...

BENNY: Why'd you do it, Dean?

DEAN: Do what?

BENNY: Resurrect me. You could have drained my soul into any culvert, and no one would have been the wiser.

And immediately after this...

So, we already know this, is a famous scene in the fandom, there's plenty gifset talking about Dean resurrected Benny and helped him because he saved Castiel, Dean's angel.

But Benny saved him beacuse he knew THE ANGEL WAS VERY SPECIAL FOR DEAN. Dean showed him with words and attitude, Cas wasn't just a friend... As the dialogue with the Benny maker... Benny knew what Cas meant for Dean, he knows what is to be in love, so... That's why he saved Castiel. Even is letting him die would be the wise decision to get out from Purgatory without any more problems... But he did it because he knew Dean was in love with him, and that would destroy him. *Slams table!*

The whole Benny and Andrea love story it became a Destiel parallel when she breaks his heart and betrays him. (Another crypt foreshadow, we will have a lot of these in the upcoming episodes, and a lot of broken hearts too).

To Conclude:

There were plenty episodes talking about broken hearts and lover's betrayal. It could be readed as foreshadow for the crypt scene.

The scenes of the love letters and the scene of the young guy talking about being separated for a year are a reaffirmation for us to understand the whole looking for the angel one entire year while praying to him every night must be readed as romantic.

Benny knew Cas was more than just a friend for Dean, that's why he saved him, because he knows what is to be in love.

‘i don’t get why ur mad, min. all i asked was for u to put the top back on the coffee maker when ur done w it’

‘i understand that y/n but it would be rly nice if u didn’t nag me about the coffee maker of all things during my busiest week of the year’

‘nag you?? wtf jimin all i did was ask u to put the top back on i’m not demanding the world’

And that was that.

Jimin sighed heavily and threw his phone down onto the pillow, his back falling hard onto the bed. He ran a hand through his hair and closed his eyes, wishing the last few minutes hadn’t just happened and that you were right there in his arms instead of miles away and still holding a grudge about a stupid coffee maker.

What had he done wrong? Sure he was busy, but so what? He couldn’t help that. Maybe he had been a little snappy lately, but how could he not be when you were so strict about house rules?

He stood up with another heavy breath and made his way to the bathroom, slipping his shirt off and turning on the shower.

He stepped in and cleaned himself off the best he could with you on his mind. After stepping out and drying off his hair, he eyed himself in the mirror.

“Maybe I could’ve put the top back on..” He muttered to himself on his way back to the bed.

“Yeah,” He sighed as he covered himself up with the blankets. “I definitely could’ve put the top back on.”

Taehyung:

Poor Tae looked at you like a deer in headlights the second you started yelling.

“You left the garage door open again!” You yelled from the kitchen. “What if someone had broken in, hm?”

“I-I didn’t know-“

“And the plants!!” You exclaimed, dramatically expressing the last syllable as you ran over to the poor dehydrated succulents in the window. “How could you forget, Tae?”

“I’m sor-“

“I bet you didn’t even feed Yeontan did you?!”

“I did.”

“And the garbage? You haven’t taken that out either have you?”

“I didn’t have time-“

“God Taehyung, do I have to do everything around here?” You ran around the whole house frantically straightening magazines, fluffing pillows and wiping off dirty shelves.

“Y/N, I haven’t been home all day,” Taehyung said under his breath.

“What was that?” You asked, turning your attention to him with a TV remote clutched in your hand.

“I haven’t been home all day,” he repeated. “The most I had time to do was feed Yeon and check the mail. I tried making you breakfast before I left, but I guess I left the stove on too long and-“

His sentence stopped short when you wrapped your arms around him and buried your head in his chest. He relaxed and kissed the top of your head, hands resting on your waist.

“I’m sorry Taehyungie,” you whispered. “I’ve been crazy overworked lately.”

He smiled and squeezed you tighter, assuring you that he forgave you for yelling at him about the houseplants.

Jungkook:

“You don’t really think I’d let you go out with that guy, do you?!”

“Who, my closest friend?! Yeah, Jungkook, I’d kinda hope my boyfriend wouldn’t try to keep me away from my friends.”

He scoffed. “Closest friend my ass. I’ve seen the things he does when he’s around you. Little piece of info for him, your eyes are up here,” he spat, nastily waving a finger in front of your face.

“Oh, fuck you!” You yelled, picking up a pillow from the couch next to you and throwing it at his feet.

As a young couple, this was what your fights consisted of. Lots of screaming over immature things, objects being thrown across the room, and usually a noise complaint or two.

“You know what? Go,” He demanded. “Go hang out with your closest friend but don’t come crying to me when he makes a move on you and I’m not there to beat him up.”

“Ha!” You laughed dramatically. “Beat him up. Yeah, okay. You keep thinking that,” you called over your shoulder as you grabbed your purse and headed for the door.

“You know what?! Fuck you too!” He yelled back, picking up a coaster off the end table nearby and throwing it at the door just as you closed it.

The silence in the apartment after you left was saddening and uncomfortable to say the least.

Chest heaving, Jungkook sat down on the couch and ran a hand through his hair. He lashed out a few more times by throwing some more objects at the door, then laid down on the couch with his head on the armrest. He closed his eyes and tried not to think about the guy you were with, what you were doing, and if you were safe.

The rest of of Jungkook’s night was filled with worry. It was all unnecessary, however, because the furthest you ever made it was to the end of your porch before you dropped to the ground and cried into your hands, wishing you didn’t love that idiot so much.
