So the only non BL/GL show I am interested in. I love Gun in these types of roles. He is just really good at it.

Ossan's Love

Haven't seen the original but I don't vibe with this one. The type of comedy here is not my thing so I will skip.

The Heart Killers

OMG YES YES YES. AND BOTH FK AND JD? TWO OF MY FAVE SHIPS! EVEN BETTER. A Thai person on twitter already predicted these 2 ships would be together in a BL about 2 weeks back.

Perfect 10 Liners

Boring ships (PC&FB) with a boring director. Sounds about right. But also to big of a cast and justice for MarcPoon and AuBoom. Skip 100%

It's a GL so will watch. Doesn't look to spectacular but it's fine.

💗 One Piece characters as shoujo manga stereotypes (pt. 1/?)

a/n: i recently discovered that my love @eustasssimp and i share the same deep passion for shoujo manga. we probably have read them all and basically yelled at each other for three days straight about them. for me, shoujo manga had a HUGE influence on my wish to start writing again, i bascially owe them every fluff piece on this blog omg. Lemon is the reason those headcanons were born, feeding me with so many good ideas that occupied my brain for several days straight. just love putting our favorite men in those silly litte scenarios with you (ﾉ´ з `)ノ

Kid

the ill tempered, grumpy male lead

never wears his school uniform the right way, something’s always off – no necktie, the fire red hair (which is his natural color but the teachers don’t believe him), wears too many shiny accessories and make up (his winged liner is on point)

everyone has a crush on him and he hates it, cusses everyone out who makes an attempt to get closer to him

he opens his locker and a dozen love letters fall out of it, he tears them apart on the spot and stomps away with angry flushed cheeks to probably rob some poor kid of their lunch money

he doesn’t buy proper lunch from it, just a big pack of energy drinks he downs within half an hour, vibrating in his seat during afternoon classes

eats his lunch with Killer (who made bento for both of them) on the rooftop where the people don’t find them

close up shots of them biting in onigiri, veiny hands holding chopsticks, long lashes that sparkle in the sunset (it’s noon but for the special effects the sun is setting, okay)

during The Field Trip Camping Arc™ Kid will yell at everyone who fails to put up their tent, building them up himself while huffing and puffing

he’s also the one that goes missing during the obligatory rain storm, making everyone worried until he returns out of the blue, probably carrying a puppy in his arms he rescued

HERO OF THE DAY AND HE HATES IT

will complain to Killer all night about it as they lay in their sleeping bags, the puppy curled up between them (you wished that was you huh), but he’ll fall asleep with a slight smile though

Killer

the stoic, quiet side kick

his mask stays ON despite school rules. also how else would anyone know he’s the sidekick if he didn’t have a quirky accessoire

lowkey everyone has a crush on him too. it’s a shoujo manga, everyone crushes on everyone here

Killer gets his own spin off in the chapter cover art or as his own series once the main act is finished because he stole the show so often and became a fan favorite

he’s the head of the school’s food club, hosting cooking lessons once a week and rambling about the power and beauty of a good meal

every petition to turn it into an pasta exclusive club failed and he’s bitter about it, still only teaching recipes you can eat with a mask on

everyone is intimidated by him and then he just brings out tiny cupcakes he baked during cooking class and shares with everyone

master of cake decor – he might look scary but oh boy can he do those filigree sugar coatings with ease

knows Kid comes from a rough home and therefore makes him a bento every day to make sure his friend eats a proper meal at least once a day

he’s still waiting for Kid to notice the hidden messages he wrote in ketchup on his omelet, asking him to be more than just a friend

Rayleigh

the way too sexy home room teacher everyone has a crush on

like he sparkles a little when he enters the classroom and everyone’s heart just goes doki doki

his subjects are history and PE

on PE days he walks around in a tight shirt and loose sweatpants, hair in a loose bun, making people clench their chest when he walks by

has the biggest crush on his colleague Roger and it’s obvious to everyone except Roger

he almost got suspended once because he used the money for the field trip for gambling but luckily his class hosted a cake sale (Killer being the initiator) to raise funds and save the day

he’s a strict teacher but also a very kind one, always fighting dearly for his students while also showing them no mercy during tests

though he might “accidentally” leave the test answers written on the blackboard

can survive the field trips only with a little flask in his pocket and trusts his student enough to survive on their own while he checks out the hot springs with his colleague Roger

he gets his spotlight in the bonus panels where the mangaka just goes unhinged about him, giving the fans what they want (dilf on dilf action)

Roger

the headmaster and PE teacher that walks around in booty shorts and a tank top that are just a little too tight but no one is complaining, just enjoying the view

has the biggest crush on his colleague Rayleigh and it’s obvious to everyone except Rayleigh

a menace in the staff room, leaving his belongings on every desk except his own (it doesn’t go unnoticed by him that Rayleigh lets Roger’s worn tank top disappear in his bag, just as planned)

loves the kids and spending time with them during their break, playing skipping rope or ping-pong with them and battling them at the cafeteria over the last strawberry pastry until Rayleigh shoots him a glance

will twirl his hair at Rayleigh asking if he’s getting anyone chocolate for Valentine’s Day and won’t sleep at night when Rayleigh confirms that he will give some chocolate out, yes

Roger plans to confess during The Field Trip Camping Arc™ but always gets interrupted for some silly reason (the soda vending machine is broken, one student forgot to pack socks, the class troublemaker gotten lost in the woods during a rainstorm)

GMMTV P2

My thoughts:

Just the QLs, because I haven't really watched a lot of straight GMMTV stuff, even stuff that looks interesting, because I keep putting it off. And I will be honest nothing on the new straight line up is grabbing my attention.

Ossan's love: I still have not checked the original. I am concerned about the comedy. I might be binging this one.

Us The series: I am happy we are getting another GL. A little concern that so many GLs seem to be using the fake guy love interest trope (edit: I mean it in the faen fatal kind of way bl used to do a lot and now does less). Kind of a little tired of that.

Side Note: Not really important but why are they still casting Sing as a straight man in a Y series. When am I going to get Sing in a BL as non straight guy???

Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist: Listen I watched My Tooth Your Love. I am going to watch this.

Perfect 10 liners: Very meh on this one. I love forcebook but I was expecting something ... else ... from them. Maybe they will surpise me. I am enjoying We Are the Series. IDK.

The Heart Killers: I have to admit I was skeptical about firstkhao. And I am still a bit worried. But the trailer worked for me. I am intrigued by the little hints from the cast I saw that the dynamics are different for both ships in contrast with their other shows.

Heart that skips a beat: It looks great. But I have always been a bit 50/50 on idol romances and I am getting a bit tired of them. This might be a binge.

The EX morning: love this for the KristSingto girlies. I have always been meh on this ship. And I still didn't watch Be My Favorite (i know i know). Unleass a lot of people are talking about this in a positive way when it's live this will be a binge.

Revamp: OMG!!! It looks so good. I saved this one for last because it's my favorite trailer of the bunch. I am still very intrigued. They changed the cast except for Santa. Boss is not there anymore. But that doesn't bother me. I think I have a pretty good idea on what the plot will be. I am intrigued and on board. I will be seated!!!

GMMTV 2024 Part 2 Showcase

When I watched Part 1 I was barely into series and watched certain trailers that I thought might be interesting but this time I'm planning on watching it live and am so into watching shows again.

The actors I'm actively following right now are Fourth and Gemini, along with some Phuwin (and by extension PondPhuwin) but none of them are getting ship work. So I'm mostly just gonna be there for the stories and concepts we get (though I'm curious about the GemPrim series and what Fourth is gonna be in). I hope I'm really excited by some concept (like The Warp Effect) or a cast/ship (like a surprise one).

Anticipation Ranking:

The Heart Killers (BL) [omg KhaoFirst (and Joongdunk) in a show directed by Jojo where they commit crimes and possibly are there for nefarious reasons etc]

Ended up waking up at 5:30am while the live started at 6:20am and the first trailer released at 6:35am lol

It’s fine tho bc my semester is over, i was afraid it’d happen before im done my exam or worse, on exam day.

Oh, Yfind project which looks for plots for novels and series? and some fandom name in Thailand?

Title: Ossan’s Life trailer

Pair: Earth/Mix

Did I know about this? Yes

Thoughts: omg? I didn’t realize Earth is the one who’s being pursued by Mix and the boss character, I thought it’d be Mix! this is fun. oh, putting on someone’s shoe scene. I finally know what the show is about because of The Conversation Podcast’s episode on it yesterday and this seems in line with the Japanese version. Very comedic, so we’ll see how it goes.

Thoughts: Could be interesting but I’m not super into it yet because it doesn’t seem super developed yet beyond the concept of “people around them die.”

Did I know about this? Yes, specifically some sort of KhaoFirst series directed by Joni

Thoughts: I’M SO EXCITED! I was watching the whole trailer while intrigued and giggling. It’s definitely something I want from KhaoFirst, something a little risqué and has some actual plot while it’s different from anything JoongDunk have done so far, so i’d be curious to see how it goes. I hope the actual plot ends up good ahh. I’ll try not to get too attached to the mock trailer bc things will probably be different but I really like it. The song was covered in My School President but the vibe is different here.

After Rewatch: I definitely understood more after the rewatch because on my first watch I was so excited that I definitely missed some scenes and dialogue there loll I'm soooo excited for criminal killer brothers Khao and Joong, tattooist First who is trying to get dirt on them to clear his own car debt record, and Dunk who has been unleashed upon Joong to distract him from KhaoFirst in exchange for a car. KhaoFirst were my pull when I first watched it and they still are because I fucking love to see them on screen but I definitely got the JoongDunk thing more in this watch. Love to see Dunk be wild (kissing Joong when he's threatening him etc) and bold and actually take action this time while Joong is the one who is evasive, a different dynamic than their usuals. I... will try to enjoy this one regardless of plot to be honest lol because people were like meh on the Only Friends storyline. I think it'll help knowing that it's a Romcom with a side of drama rather than an assassin/crime plot with side of romance. I'm also not looking forward to KhaoFirst and JoongDunk's fandoms possibly fighting based on like screentime/acting prowess/"better treatment" and favouritsm/etc. but hopefully it'll turn out okay. I actually don't mind that KhaoFirst got a 2-pair main lead instead of a solo pair show because the pairs seem very connected with each other. Seems like it's inspired by Taming of the Shrew and 10 Things I Hate About You rather than a novel. I wonder if I should watch 10TIHAY just to see what references and such they put in.

A few hours later and I just watched 10 Things I Hate About You lol I get the "date my older brother so that we can date" thing now. I suppose Dunk's character is the "wild" character who can handle his brother Joong's character.

Thoughts: Mook and Pat and New and Boun. It Could be good but idk if i’ll watch it. Pat playing a character who is a shitty friend, a la PSIHY. Title reminds me of Dead Friend Forever. I will say the best part of the trailer was the first few seconds when I was wondering if we’d get a Pat/Mook GL.

Title: Perfect 10 Liners

Pair: Force/Book, Perth/Chimon, girl too many

Did I know about this? No

Thoughts: It could be good but I don’t care about any of the actors or pairings in this. PerthChimon were the most intriguing in this though, I liked the parallel on”Are you dating anyone?” Directed by New Siwat, yeah dunno about this one tbh. bruh so many people on stage, were they all actually there in the trailer? There are a bunch of side BL couples in addition to the main 3? crazy fr. and they couldn’t throw in a side GL either?

Apparently this is gonna be 30 eps with 10 eps each of ForceBook, MarkJunior, and PerthChimon... gonna take months and months to air fr, meaning stuff could have to wait while this show keeps airing... agh. or maybe this could prevent another rerun so who knows.

Title: Us

Pair: gorgeous girls who i don’t know the names of. Emi/Bonnie

Did I know about this? I knew about a possible Emi/Bonnie GL but I didn’t know who they were. hm Us, did we expect this novel as well, I vaguely remember having seen this novel rumored to be a series.

Thoughts: GL? These GLs being about your brother/sister’s girlfriends. omg she’s the one pairing the postcards? ahhh GL KISS IN TRAILER! Oh I’m excited and also love the short haired girl’s face sooooo much. Another melodramatic GL a la Pluto, I’m looking forward to it! Is this by the same author as GAP/Pluto/Blank? People always mention how problematic her novels are and somebody mentioned they don’t like the source material for this show either but I love a little problematic romance, so we shall see. Fon is the director.

After Rewatch: Went to MDL to double-check that the girl with cropped hair is Emi (she is! beautiful!) and the rights to this were brought like 2 years ago or what? Over a year ago at least since the comments have been waiting for announcement since then. Dang the acquirement rumour was on r/GMMTV back in February last year, so I probably saw it back then. The plot is quite straightforward, seems like it's focused way more on interpersonal relationships. Love the moody, indie nature of the angsty scenes but then they're so charming and bright when they're like happy and together! Also very happy to see like passionate kissing and romantic physical affection between the women even in the trailer, I'm hoping they have great romantic chemistry in the show. Doubt we'll get this one before 2025 though since it's directed by P'Fon and she's directing High School Frenemy right now and also has Scarlet Heart TH to do. I doubt GMMTV would air 3 GLs in a year already lol, so I'm hoping at least Pluto comes out this year and US is one of the first things out last year at the latest.

Title: Hide & Sis

Pair: ensemble and messy, focused on sisters

Did I know about this? No

Thoughts: PSIHY flashbacks. Snap25 is in charge of this, which makes sense. Very vibey, eerie, hope it’s good. Focus on morally corrupt women and sisters yay. Pepper/Lookjun are dating IRL right? hehe cute

Title: Thame Po | Heart That Skips A Beat

Did I know about this? That there is expected to be an EstWilliam

Thoughts: Oh, a BL? So many GMMTV people who I don’t know these days. Another idol BL similar to Only Boo but more mature ig? Is this EstWilliam? I’ve seen so many people excited for their BL but idk their faces lol. It’s a Parbdee project? Exciting. I like the vibes of it. I hope they do the celebrity/commoner aspect well, I like an idol romance in theory (and in fic lol) but I don't think I've yet watched one that I've enjoyed.

After Rewatch: I randomly started seeing Est and William posts start popping up on r/GMMTV a few weeks ago and then this master thread was created for it as well. I didn't know who they were (apparently a LYKN boy and a new GMMTV actor with side roles in the past) so I was just mildly curious but it's fun that this came true. When the trailer first started, I didn't know this guy was Est, so I was like oh nooo I don't wanna watch a show about not being able to find jobs and being a loser or something lol but seems like he finds his gig early enough into the show. The trailer is even better on the 2nd watch when I know what's going on lol. The background music really suits it, it stood out to be during the first watch as well. The trailer is 4 minutes and seems fairly fleshed out, I wonder... if we can hope that it's one of the first ones to film from the 2nd half? It's done by Parbdee who have a few projects this year but the director is Mui Aticha who doesn't have anything else lined up for the year since Beauty Newbie? So maybe she can work on this soon? Crazy resume though, The Gifted, F4, Girl From Nowhere, etc. I wonder how she'll do with this one though since it's a more grounded romance like Beauty Newbie (which didn't receive good feedback rip).

Thame is William and Po is Est and from the characters + how people referred to them during the conference after the trailer, seems like they're going for WilliamEst? Interesting because everybody on the subreddit was just reading calling them EstWilliam lol I enjoy them switching it up a bit to play with expectations and cast based on the characters rather than which order people think the people themselves should be. WilliamEstWilliam would've been fun too. The next day and Est has posted pictures with #WilliamEst. Funny to have William-Williamer-Williamest.

I hope the mood and vibe of it being calmer and romantic and the drama from the celebrity idol life remains true, I don't want it to become more light-hearted and comedic, nor do I want it to become Extra Angsty or anything.

Side note but every time I think of the title Thame-Po, I think of the song Thaam Lo even though the pronunciation isn't the same.

WilliamEst ship: Okay it's the night of the 24th, so it's been like a day but I'm quite into the ship itself idkkk man, I get why people on the gmmtv sub were going crazy about them for the past month. The thing is they're like so shy on stage when talking about the show omg, I enjoy seeing a ship being shy and unsure when first introduced to the public and they haven't quite figured out how to work everything out yet, it's cute. I also have learned that William is a 05 liner while Est is 01 and I need them to have the same age gap in the show pleaseee, I love a younger pursuer character for real. I know Thame calls Po Phi in the trailer though, so we know William plays a younger character at least

Title: Revamp: The Undead Story

Thoughts: Ah, trailer for the BounPrem vampire story and it seems more serious and sinister than the campy nature of the other vampire BL: Golden Blood. Kinda reminds me of Midnight Museum actually. It looks good, I’ll probably give it a watch.

Title: Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist

Pair: Mark/Ohm

Did I know about this? Yes (Mark was hinting at it)

Thoughts: Two BLs back to back? Uni BL with dentistry student Mark based on Jittitain novel. It’s not super intriguing based on the more exciting stories but I need a good easy-watching, cute, uni BL once in a while in between he heavier hits. So this could be that. The trailer just seems long-winded

Title: The Dark Dice

Thoughts: Ohh kinda reminds me of The Gifted and the trailer for Enigma. A high school show about them trapped in some game. Wish there were more girls in the cast though. Less romantic than I thought. I hope it’s good and not like Homeschool which has a Very Good trailer but didn’t get good reviews.

Title: The Ex-Morning

Did I know about this? Yes, KS were shooting mock trailer with P’Lit

Thoughts: girl I was already like hehe KristSingto as expected BUT THEY ATE EXES!!!!! I love exes-to-lovers and it’s kinda funny since it parallels their ship work. huhhh wtf was that random ass car accident? hah I’m excited for this too. We knew the director is P’Lit who directed SOTUS.

After Rewatch: I thought it parallels KS's journey of Singto leaving GMMTV then him coming back and doing a BL with Krist again (kinda of exes-to-lovers if you squint) while the guy-fucks-up-and-is-crucified-on-the-internet could be parallel Krist's journey and turns out P'Aof wrote the script based on Krist Singto themselves, that's wild. The university days drinking pink milk really gives me a visceral reaction. I LOVE the look on Krist's face when he looks back at Singto in the towel and then quickly turns have his face like O.O it's very cute, I giggled the first time too. They seem to show stuff toward the end like with Krist winning the award again and Singto deciding to leave and also this random ass accident (seems like people are trying to kill Krist? What with the random motorcycle guy as well). I don't tend to like too much info in a trailer (over 4 minutes?!) but maybe if it means that we'll get it as one of the earlier part 2 shows because the script is written, I'll take it. I don't know if that's the case though because Aof is overseeing/scriptwriting and he's a busy man (though Director Lit doesn't have other shows I don't think)

Title: Scarlet Heart Thailand

Thoughts: Not really a trailer, as they sometimes arent with these remakes. Scot’s are all pretty big hitters, especially Tu and Win, along with some people I’m looking forward to like Fourth, Phuwin, Tay, Nanon. Directed by Fon. I don’t know what this show is about at all though.

My expectations were basic and based on some very well-believed rumours, so I'm not surprised they're correct.

Actor Attendance

Observations:

Interesting to go from watching The Warp Effect where I knew pretty much everybody to these trailers where there are so many people whom I don’t know, including main actors for BLs and GLs (Est/William, Emi/Bonnie). Good chance to get to know them if the shows turn out well though!

On that note, it's always interesting when they choose completely new ships to be the main couple of a show, again like Us and Thame-Po. This also means a lot of the familiar main or side BL couples are in ensemble shows like Perfect 10 Liners (there were so many people in that, I couldn't even keep track of them all).

High School: 1

University: 2

Non-School: 10 (or 11 with Ossan's Love)

Very few school shows comparatively, just 3/13, less than a quarter. That's exciting, I'm especially glad that being out of school doesn't just mean office worker shows lol

The puns never end: Friendshit, Revamped, Hide & Sis, Thame-Po (Tempo - 50% pun), The Ex-Morning. Hilarious that there are more shows with puns in their names than school shows.

Overall:

More shows grabbed my interest in this round I think. It seems like a more somber/serious set of trailers than part 1, which is cool.

Also, most of the trailers seem well-made, not necessarily in terms of story because they don't have full plots and stories yet, but in terms of production/quality.

I just hope the scriptwriting for these shows are strong, especially because they're dealing with interesting concepts like idol romance and exes-to-lovers. The concepts are soooo good but bad screenwriting or a story that doesn't deal with the interesting aspects can make the show fall flat.

I'm also glad that there is a mix of old ships, new ships, and totally new faces for these BLs and GL Like we have shows with established main pairs like KhaoFirst-Joongdunk and Forcebook-PerthChimon in ensemble shows, we have interesting situations like KristSingto which is a returning main couple and BounPrem which is an old series but revamped ;) for their GMMTV debut, but then we have a ship like MarkOhm where Mark has been in multiple shows and ships but he's leading in a series with somebody completely different. Then we have Emi-Bonnie and WilliamEst who are new faces as GMMTV leads and their ships are completely brand new.

In Part 1, it was similar in that we had stuff like main roles for existing ships with OffGun - The Trainee and GeminiFourth - My Love Mix-Up, ensemble with existing ships (We Are - PondPhuwin etc), had existing actors in new ships like OhmLeng in Kidnap or JossGawin in My Golden Blood, we had new ships like GreatInn in Wandee Goodday,

All in all, a good part 2, I'm glad I watched it live, it was exciting and I'm looking forward to these shows (though I'm not holding my breath though lol because part 1 shows still gotta be released). I really like these showcases and I'm kinda glad that now it's split into 2 because I get a new one every 6-7 months instead of once a year haha

Actually no my main gripe: Where are all the women? Us, Hide & Sis, and Friendshit Forever seem to be the only shows that focus on more than one woman and the BLs basically have no women, or possibly 1 female side character. Why can't they have side GL pairings or multiple women in the same show, truly what the heck? I hope that more women are cast in the shows as they start writing scripts and such, like a side GL in Us or a side GL in Perfect 10 Liners among all the BL pairs.

GMMTV 2024 Part 2 was a lot!!!

Look, call me an ignorant basic bxtch but I’m a simple girl, it doesn’t take much to impress me 🤷🏽‍♀️ I didn’t have a bingo card cause I wasn’t expecting anything, I was just excited to see what they had this time around. So here’s my thoughts!

- Omg was the original Ossan’s Love this ridiculous?? 🤣 no but I’m glad to see EarthMix in something comedic, even though they do drama really well!

- THE HEART KILLERS!?!?!? FIRSTKHAO IS BACK!!! JOONGDUNK IS BACK!!! FINALLY A GOOD PLOT FOR JOONGDUNK TO REALLY ACT!!! AND FIRST SAID IT HIMSELF, THIS TIME HE’S THE ONE CHASING KHAO AND DUNK’S THE ONE CHASING JOONG!!! THIS SHOW’S GONNA BE 🔥🔥🔥

- Friendshit Forever is a hilarious title but my man New Thitipoom is hawttt!!! Him in those spicy scenes is gonna be 🥵🥵🥵 I WILL be watching, primarily for him!!!

- Well we had to have at least one formulaic show right? Perfect10 Liners seems good though! Idk, I’m still kinda new to BLs and I’m not tired of the engineering student stories (maybe just a tiny bit) I like the pairings but Junior does not pass for a college student lmao I’m sorry my dude.

Also there’s SO MANY people in this ensemble!! How much screen time is everyone gonna get??

- Us looks really good too!! I’m showing up for all the GLs until we get as many as we get BLs so then I can pick and choose what I like, but this is one I’m actually looking forward to!

- Y’ALL PUT LYKN IN A BL???? Ok but it looks good! With Est too! And William, the one LYKN member I know 😅 I’ll give it a try!

- We are getting the BounPrem vampire BL!! But without Boss Chaikamon 😭 I hope they change nothing else but the cast and by that I mean keep the level of heat they originally had!! 🌶��🔥🥵

- MARK PAKIN LEAD ROLE!!! IT’S WHAT HE DESERVES!!! AND WHAT WE ALL WANTED!!! And it’s a BL with Ohm!!! The plot’s nothing crazy but just having them is enough lol. And Jimmy’s in it too!! I screamed when I saw him!! Flirting with Ohm though?? How the tables have turned!!

- I’m glad my boys Gemini and Fourth are getting more serious roles!! Gemini looks good in that tough guy role and Fourth is in a show full of powerhouse performers!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I gotta look up Scarlet Heart now, I’m so intrigued!!

- I’m not a Peraya, I’ve never seen a KristSingto show. But I know they’re the fathers of GMMTV BLs so I pay my respects to them! 🙏🏽 and I know they’re happy to be back together! And I love that there’s a show about older adults and exes and just more mature themes! I’m looking forward to it!

Everything else looked okay, not really for me 🤷🏽‍♀️

Overall I’m really happy with what we saw today!! Like I said, I’m just happy to be here 😅 I don’t know about which directors are the best or which writers are the worst or anything like that. Of course I’m sad that my main man Sea wasn’t part of any of these announced shows but I know he’s gonna be in The Trainee which has yet to air this year! So there’s a lot to look forward to!

character traits and flaws are being played up in excess

remember how DUMB nandor is? remember how BAD he is at understanding others? he is never going to understand a single thing said to him or when someone is upset or when he has made a mistake despite having established deep relationships with these characters. and also he's going to have the same story arc as last season but with a LOT less respect for women!!! (so much for himbo)

nadja is #GIRLBOSS (a lot of people might go "well maybe i like her like this!!!!" ok fine sorry that i like my female characters to be more than a plot device. she had to want a night club so they could do night club stuff. so empowering. she's had some good moments this season but half the time its YAS GIRLBOSS!!! ok just recognizing that this is a stupid "feminist" trope doesn't make it anything more than that)

laszlo is BISEXUAL DAD (honestly don't have a lot of issues here. good for him. just wish they would chill out with the Quippy One Liners. they're funny because they exist within the narrative)

guillermo is SOMEHOW STILL BEING MISTREATED (despite having 2 seasons dedicated to this particular issue. can we move on)

2. disregard of detail

ok it's stupid but it really DOES bother me that the intro has adult colin pictures when the intro was adjusted to fit details like colin's death in the past. if the vampires in-universe see baby colin as being his own person, why do we see him lumped into the same images as adult colin?

other little things that bug me

the vampires are suddenly well liked and have friends in the community (nadja's club opening and nandor's wedding)

the baron being seen as someone of prestige when the whole thing was that he is a vampire nobody

ignoring the big obvious fact that there WAS a vampire nightclub

where is all this blood coming from

hypnosis was previously only used as an occasional plot device and we got a whole episode about why that is (brain scramblies) and now it is in EVERY. SINGLE. EPISODE. it is TIRING. it is CHEAP. it is NOT. INTERESTING.

the nightmarket just existed this whole time?

all the wishing stuff. if nandor was willing to take guillermo's advice for one wish, why not others?

3. bigger isn't better/nothing matters

so in the past, wwdits was built upon a pretty simple concept: What if vampires existed in modern day, but they were pathetic and lame and boring?

oh an epic and powerful baron is meeting with them? no he's actually lame and also guillermo kills him on accident. a trial with the vampiric council?? nah it's in some basement and the vampires get away because colin brought an umbrella. vampire killers??? lame inexperienced group of young adults who end up not killing a single vampire.

things had weight and importance. the show worked as a dark silly mocumentary because it felt grounded in the simple docu-type shit, like "how would modern vampires find more virgins to eat?" "how does guillermo get rid of bodies?" now it's like, yeah we have blood on tap pretty much. whatever.

4. the fucking time jump

why spend an entire season setting up an epic three part finale which then sets up an insane cliffhanger to fucking throw it away within the first episode? tension created for nothing. elaborate story set up for nothing. character's individual motivations and obstacles set up for nothing. no pay off. makes season 3 feel significantly less good because what was it even for anyways

5. character motivation

character motivation is not shown or understood over time: it is not stated ("i want a vampire nightclub!") and assumed we believe it

vampire night club. just.........................this has never, EVER made sense for nadja's character. especially now. there was 0 set up to indicate she would ever want a thing like this. is this trying to be more female-empowering? ppl might call it "satire" or "subverting tropes" but it isnt enough to just preform a trope and state in-universe that you know it is a trope (saying she is a girlboss)

nandor wants to find love still i guess. this feels sort of like they realized nandor was left without something to do after scrapping his journey home story so they were like ok i guess he's just doing the same thing he did last season. i thought his new motivation was to find himself but i guess they just didn't feel like doing that anymore so

6. the nandermo problem

ok. this isn't so much a criticism like the other ones as it is...idk. my Feelings or something.

if this is NOT leading to nandermo: ok i guess. not the end of the world. sucks that they baited this particular couple (not QUEERBAITED, yes, i am aware) and continued to run the "WHO IS NANDOR'S LOVE INTEREST!" plotline into the ground for nothing but ok. i would have been fine with a brief romance and a horrible break up FYI. they are just funny when they are obsessed with each other. sue me

if this IS leading to nandermo: would it fucking kill you to act like it. what's the point in them getting together if they avoid the two of them being together or having any normal romantic/sexual subtext like the plague except for one-off lines and D-plots. either commit or don't

7. actually fuck you im adding this one to the list

ohhh we are so diverse ohhhh we are so inclusive look at all the same sex casual sexual relationships and romances. NAME A WOMAN. Gus and howard interacting after the whole shoot out like. The absolute stress of the time leading up to the meeting and the actual meeting! Howard having to face the man he helped try to kill. Gus viewing howard as an actual threat instead of just some pretty face. God would he try to kill howard??? Like heres his enemy happily prancing around w his guy under his arm (i think lalo would be too possessive to let people assume howard isnt his bc then what if someone tries to hit on him like there is no way there arent any gay people in those pool parties and Howard isn't bad looking.....okay thats a different ask about howard and the pool parties and the poor guy who tries to hit on howard before he realizes who howard showed up w/ and lalo does his whole haha im just here to talk :)) but like gus knows killing howard would HURT lalo but it would also hurt him? Is he willing to take the mantle of being someone elses Hector? Yes i am being absolutely normal about these guys.

omg missed this message so sorry just saw it now, but yessss obsessed with their first interaction post fic 'cause they'd HAVE to meet again. I see Howard kinda frantically tap dancing like 'soooo here we are again, isn't this funny, just us two pillars of the community involved in all this, hey remember last time how I tried to steer you to your death, at least we both understand it's business not personal ha ha haaa' and Gus just slow blinking and letting him run his mouth, and finally delivering some super cold one liner I haven't thought of yet lol, and just walking away leaving Howard feeling extremely awkward and unsettled, but hey, fair enough.

and yeah while I do love love love the idea of Lalo being gay or bi and having it be this open secret in the cartel, part of me feels like it's only as long as he doesn't push the envelope. So even if people suspect there's something going on there betwen them, I don't know if cartel pool parties are a bastion of allyship lol, I see them playing it cool. But as you say, "Howard isn't bad looking" (minor correction, howard is a SMOKESHOW I'm sorry it took 6 seasons for me to realize it, but in my defense 'NAMAST3' is a hell of a mood killer), and I could totally see some curious cartel guy getting his flirt on, cornering Howard in the kitchen and bragging about all his hits, like "you wouldn't believe what these hands can do" and Lalo appearing out of nowhere and hacking off one of the guy's hands with a meat cleaver and watching it fly through the air like "ha ha yeah wow that is a good trick"

Anyways back to Gus lmao, ugh yes that would be a fascinating dynamic of how he gradually sees Lalo and Howard, and the rage, but also envy he might feel at seeing they're partnered up, and having this opportunity to hurt the salamancas as much as they hurt him handed to him on a silver platter, maybe wanting it emotionally because it would be satisfying, but it wouldn't be the SMART thing to do, and Gus is nothing if not careful. "but like gus knows killing howard would HURT lalo but it would also hurt him? Is he willing to take the mantle of being someone elses Hector?" okay.......this sentence is fucking with my mind a little and I need to lie down forever now, oooof </3

General POV

Lilly came out of the car walking back into the house.

Steve came outside inspecting his car directly.

'It's fine Steve, I didn't hit anything.' Lilly said while giving him the keys.

He was laughing nervously as Lilly went back inside.

She tossed her back upstairs and took the joints out of her bra.

She placed the plastic back on the counter.

'Now It's my turn to have a shower and dress myself.' Lilly said before jumping upstairs.

She jumped in the shower locking both the doors.

Lilly put her head up in a tight bun, so she didn't wet her hair that much.

She wanted to curl it.

When she came out of the shower she was humming to another one bites the dust.

Drying herself and walking out of the bathroom.

She had put on her bikini and was rummaging through her closet.

It was a really nice evening.

So she decided to wear a short black overall.

Wearing a white queen shirt underneath it with her bikini underneath it.

It was bright yellow so you could see it through a bit.

She put on her red converse with it.

Lilly sat down behind her vanity.

Curling her hair and parting her hair in two parts.

The lower half was curled on the ends and the top part she was holding in her hand.

Lilly put a hair tie on it making a ponytail.

For her makeup she did her usual cat eye, eye liner.

And she put on some red lipstick mixing it a little with a black one.

So it made a really dark red.

Lilly walked downstairs looking for Robin and Steve who were sitting at the pool already making some meat on the barbeque.

'Nice' Lilly said as she joined them by bringing three beers.

Robin looked her up and down.

'Damn.' The both of them said.

'Pffffff.' Lilly said as she opened her beer and took a big sip.

'How late are the first people here?' Lilly said trying to change the subject.

'Anytime ' Robin said looking at her watch.

Robin looked really cute to.

She was wearing bleached boyfriend jeans, that were really baggy and a black crop top.

Lilly walked over to her boombox and put in a queen cassette.

Killer queen started playing and she put it on loud.

In the next hour people started coming in.

Lot's of friends from Robin.

Also another couple she had heard Robin talk about.

'Lilly, this is a good friend of mine that I would really like you to meet.' Steve said as he walked over with a girl with light brown hair.

Lilly stook her hand out, she had a few beers and she was loosening up a little.

'Lilly, Steve's new stepsister.' The girl shook her hand.

'Nancy Wheeler.' She said holding a red cup and shaking her hand.

'Wheeler?' Lilly said squinting her eyes.

'Where did I hear that name before?'

'Omg Mike!' lilly brought out.

'You met my brother?' Nancy brought out while taking a sip from her cup.

'Yeah I met him at the arcade a few weeks back.' Lilly said.

'Through Dustin that curly haired boy.' Lilly said while finding out her bottle was empty and she took Steve's one and gave him her old one.

'Your welcome.

Saving you from a hangover.' Lilly said as she saw Robin and she sprinted towards her.

'You trust her?' Steve asked Nancy while wanting to take a sip out of the bottle.

But just realizing Lilly took his bottle he rolled his eyes.

'She seems okay.

A bit drunk but okay.' Nancy said while taking another sip.

'Why? what do you want with her?' Nancy then asked Steve who was about to walk inside to get another bottle of beer.

He took another bottle and also made Nancy another drink.

'Nah if shit breaks down, I want to know if I can tell her everything.' Steve said

'Not that I'm gone trying to help you guys and she needs to stay here, because she will not take that the good way.' Steve said taking a really big sip out of the beer bottle.

'Hmm, better to keep her sane.' Nancy said as she thanked Steve.

'True' Steve said as he raised his bottle and clinked it with Nancy's cup.

People were starting to get drunk and dance.

Lilly was having a great time.

And then she realized, she had the weed she bought from Eddie.

'STEVE !' She yelled out.

When she had found him she threw herself at him.

'Do you remember what we still have up our sleeve.' Lilly said to him smirking.

Steve who was clearly drunk and dancing around.

'Where's Nancy?' Lilly asked

'The bathroom, she's going home soon.' Steve said while downing another beer.

'Well I'm gonna smoke a blunt.' Lilly said as she searched for the small plastic bag she had got from Eddie.

She couldn't find it anywhere, and after half an hour she gave up.

'Fuck, I should have hid it.' Lilly cursed to herself.

Lilly went upstairs to see if she maybe left it there.

But she was wrong she couldn't find it anywhere.

Lilly went downstairs. She did find an old pack of cigarettes in her nightstand.

And she distanced herself a little from the party.

The Harrington garden was huge.

So after making her way trough a few couples making out.

She find an empty spot where she could see the stars.

She laid down on the grass and she took a cigarette out of the box and she took the lighter out of the box.

But it failed to light a flame.

To which Lilly moaned in frustration. And threw the lighter away.

She then downed her drink and laid back in the grass.

'Fucking lighter, fucking weed.' She mumbled.

'Need a light princess?' a voice suddenly spoke about.

Lilly sat straight up.

'excuse me?' she said looking around her.

'Hallowed by the name.' the voice said as it came forward.

'Eddie fucking Munson.' Lilly said with a soft smirk on her face.

'So Iron Maiden.' Lilly said as she leaned back on her elbows.

Chapter Late night smokes.

'You probably don't have a light do you?' Lilly asked Eddie while picking up her box of cigarettes and getting one out.

Eddie directly pulled out a lighter and as Lilly put the cig between her lips Eddie lit the lighter and lit the cigarette.

Lilly inhaled and took another one out of the box.

She took the already lit one out of her mouth and passed it to him.

'Want one?' she said and Eddie took it putting it on his lips.

He then lit the second one that was on Lilly's lips.

She then laid back on her back and looked at the stars.

'So you came after all?' Lilly said with a smirk.

'Everybody was talking about it, how can I not check it out?' Eddie answered.

'Sure.' Lilly said taking another puff of her cigarette.

'How was the weed?' Eddie then asked when there was a little bit of silence between them.

'Got stolen for fucks sake' Lilly said frustration back in her voice.

'Stolen?' Eddie said while sitting up the cigarette between his lips.

'Yeah now I didn't even get to try some of your good shit.' Lilly said sighing.

Eddie started laughing.

'And here I thought you were some kind of badass queen of hell.

But you let someone steal your weed?' Eddie said trying to keep in his laughter.

'Are you fucking laughing at me Munson?' Lilly asked while sitting up.

He tried to keep in his huge grin.

And that was it for Lilly.

She sat on her knees putting her cigarette between her lips.

As she tried to confidently stand up.

'No no, don't leave I'm sorry.' Eddie said while popping up on his elbows.

But Lilly was fast. Instead of walking away, she pushed herself on top of the brown-haired man.

To his surprise.

She put her knees on his sides and sat on his stomach.

Lilly had the cigarette between her lips trying with her hands to pin his above his head.

As he rolled his eyes and gave up, she sneaked her other hand to his pants.

Lilly slid her hand in his pocket and a smirk hit her lips.

'Bingo.' She said as she pulled out a blunt.

The strawberry blonde rolled off his lap and put her cigarette out.

Eddie jumped up.

'You sneaky little snake.' He said before grabbing the blunt out of her hands.

'What are you gonna do? Sell it?' Lilly said while looking at the man.

'Well, I'm supposed to.' He said looking at her with his eyebrow raised.

'Here.' Lilly said while pulling ten dollars out of her bra.

She gave it to him.

'Now. Please smoke it with me.' She said while sitting on her knees lifting the lighter.

Eddie felt in his pockets but she stole that one too.

He rolled his eyes but smirked and brushed his fingers beneath his nose.

Eddie leaned forward so Lilly could light his blunt.

He inhaled deeply before slowly breathing it out of his nose.

Lilly sat back on her ass and looked at him. She bit on her lower lip.

He took another hit before sitting his ass back in the grass and giving the blunt to Lilly.

She took a hit.

And gave it back to Eddie.

He was a bit confused she gave it back so soon,

But Lilly slowly let the smoke out of the corner of her mouth.

And took it back in through her nose.

Eddie had his mouth hanging open.

'You're wasting the blunt.' Lilly said before stealing it from his lips.

As she took another hit.

'I'm almost impressed Lilith.' Eddie said as he laid back in the grass looking back at the stars.

'at what?' Lilly said taking another hit and giving Eddie back the blunt.

'Mysterious girl moves to Hawkins,

The place everyone wants to go away from because weird shit happened.

Goes to school wearing rock and metal band shirts, and knows her shit. Smokes get stoned and drunk.

And she still has my attention.

That never actually happens.' Eddie said while blowing out the smoke on his lungs.

'You can take the last, I'm gonna get a drink you want some?' Lilly asked while standing up.

'Sure.' Eddie answered

She walked off towards the back of the house, the party was still going and everyone was getting more and more drunk at the second.

Lilly walked into the kitchen.

As she saw Robin chatting with a girl both of them were clearly drunk.

Steve was dancing with a few people.

And when Lilly took two drinks and was off back to the garden

Steve catches up to her.

'Lills.. what are you doing back here?' Steve asked.

'You okay?' he added.

'Yea I'm fine why?' Lilly answered.

'Nah I lost you for like an hour, I almost thought you were sleeping or like idk.' Steve was scratching the back of his head.

'God Steve what do you think of me.' Lilly said laughing.

'I just took a breather I'm fine.' Lilly said while pushing him away.

'But two drinks?' Steve said still asking as the over confident brother.

'Yeah two drinks because I'm a alcoholic.' Lilly said laughing.

'Go get that girl Harrington.' Lilly said while walking away.
