So today went pretty great tbh. Piercing downsizing went fine (it's healing great apparently), and then I went to the art fair! I mostly just walked around and bought things that caught my eye. Supporting local artists!

And these coasters!!!! Which I've been needing new ones, so I saw these and was like "oh BOY new coasters!" Funny thing about this stand is that when I was looking at the coasters of artist mentioned how a few designs had matching light switch covers... pointed at the pink ones, then looked at me and was like "...though you don't really look like much of a pink person" like lmfao I was CLOCKED. and sure enough I bought the black and white set. I do not regret this at all.

i actually JUST finished the one i’ve been writing these past few days :D i finally managed to keep it around 10k as originally intended lol. it’s another hangster fic that takes place after bradley has argued with maverick the day of coyote’s blackout but before he (and the others) find out that ice has passed. i guess it counts as a missing scene fic? one of my fav things ab writing for this pairing is that TECHNICALLY i can write them getting together or getting ~involved~ and have it still fit into the movie canon because they basically fall under what suzy deemed Schrödinger’s Canon: queerness neither confirmed nor denied.

Flat-back binding

The cover style is called a half binding (without the fabric corners it would be a quarter binding.) The paper is paste-paper I made myself (decorated with a mix of paint and glycerin paste).

This book took forever lol. Many many steps and I did a couple of fancier things like painting the edges of the text block and sewing my own endbands.

I forgot to take any pictures of attaching the cover to the text block but you basically just glue the muslin + the linen tapes to the case and then glue the paste-down/endpaper over that.
