as expected, I cried (again)

this brought back a lot of the same feelings and thoughts I had when the chapters released

new explanation section; it's fascinating to watch because it (and when it was Robin and Chopper) did the job of giving character and story background, which for a show as long and interwoven as One Piece, is actually quite useful, especially if there's a new viewership (of course, spoilers will be prominent)

I do not begrudge Saul being alive because (1) seeing Robin happy-cry was worth it, (2) having someone from Robin's past still be alive is a nice thing for her; not everyone you knew has died; I'm glad for that for her

I appreciated the explanation of the Vegapunks and how Punk Records works (I admit I didn't fully remember)

knowing about Kuma's backstory makes the "these three founded the Revolutionary Army" hit differently than when I read it

Dragon is certainly interesting

the scene where everyone's reacting to Shaka's story is still a fav

The real Dr Vegapunk shows his face on Ohara in a chance meeting with Dragon (33 years old, 3 years older than Robin is now). We don't see the face of the captain of the giants. They're collecting the books the scholars of Ohara threw into the lake.

Ahh. My heart. Oda didn't make Robin ugly cry, but it's not stupidly beautiful either, and I can imagine her having to take a huge sniff**** and God but this picture got me in the feels. Queen. She's legend. (Plus, I love Saul).

And the Will of Ohara lives on, and I know it's presumptuous to think that the initial D. stands for an English word, but what it stands for Doctors? I don' t think it will, but with that atomic-cloud-looking tree of knowledge and the scholars being fully respected and always persecuted when it comes to unjust rule. Perhaps?

Truth to be told, this is one of the most emotionnal chapter in One Piece.

When I watched Ohara's destruction, I cried when I saw all those books destroyed.

I love libraries, I love bookshops, I love books in general. So destroying knowledge is a very touchy subject for me.

I remember the strong emotions and I cried alongside Robin. She didn't deserve to be split from her family. She didn't deserve to lose her mother.

She didn't deserve to lose Saul. Wait. Pretty much like when I learned Sabo was alive, seeing Saul alive hits me hard.

It makes me cry once again for Robin. She needs someone she can confide herself in. She needs her own "big brother" to be alive as well.

Somehow I'm glad because she's not an orphan anymore. A part of her family is there, somewhere, looking for her.

I cross my fingers Saul asked Dragon to look for Robin or someone else like Aokiji. Let's bet this reunion will be magical, just like Sabo's reunion with Luffy was.

On a happier note, I expect Saul to have The Big Brother Talk with Franky about his intentions with his "little sister".

Funnier even, Sanji called Iva by his/her nickname. I expect a happy and funny reunion as well. It seems despite everything he keeps a good memory about Iva.

Bonney and Vegapunk's reunion is nice. It seems Vegapunk knows Bonney since she's a baby.

After chapter 1065, I was looking forward to Void Century revelations, but instead we got this:

Saul’s alive? What has he been up to all this time? Did he, at any point, try to look for Robin? What has he heard about her over the years? Does he know what she’s up to now!?

I’m still looking forward to seeing this arc, but now I’m also looking forward to seeing Elbaf, assuming that’s where Saul is.
