The main challenge of this project was to blend the architectural languages of two different eras in order to create a coherent, elegant, and well-integrated ensemble in its environment. Stolen Goods Found and Man and Boy Held as Responsible

Patience on the part of Sergeant-Detective Griffiths and Detective Bernier, of the Outremont radio patrol, resulted on Friday last in the arrest of a man and a boy, and the clearing up of three or four house burglaries that had occurred in Rosemount. The arrests were followed by the recovery of over $1,000 worth of clothing, silverware, and cutlery in a restaurant on Clarke street. The man, who gave his name as Isaac Messett, colored, 22 years of age, no address, was arraigned on Saturday morning before Judge Lalande and pleaded guilty: ho will be sentenced this coming Friday. The boy, who is 12 years of age, will appear in the Juvenile Court today.
Sergeant-Detective Griffiths and Detective Bernier were patrolling the City of Outremont on Friday night when they saw a man and a boy acting suspiciously at the coroner of St. Catherine road and Mount Royal avenue. They followed them for two hours and then, the police say, they saw the boy being pushed through a small window of the house at 1063 Mount Royal avenue. The front door was then opened, und the man entered. It was then that the two detectives entered and placed both under arrest.
At police headquarters, the police. questioned Messett who, it was stated, admitted robbing three or four homes in Outremont.
Further investigation revealed the address of the restaurant where the goods were hidden and a search. was made there. The police state that they recovered over $1.000 worth of merchandise which had been reported stolen. Most of the goods velonged to L. Cordeau, of 75 Fernhill avenue, Outremont.
When questioned by the detectives the boy started to weep, but corroborated the statement allegedly made by Messett.
