The Underground: The Ruins → The Depths

The deepest part of the Underground. The Depths are composed of dark, volcanic caverns and serve as the entrance to the rest of the Underground.

Snowdin → Clearwater

A tropical paradise with a resort at its heart, run by Gerson Boom. It's considered the nicest part of the Underground and many monsters wish to live here.

Waterfall → Forestgrove

Forestgrove has a temperate climate, lush vegetation, and fields of Golden Flowers. The vast tangle of forest makes it easy to get lost in, unless you know your way around.

Hotland → Highpeaks

A vast and densely populated city built into craggy cliffsides of the Underground. The city features many apartments, restaurants, shady back alleys, and the Royal Science center.

THE CORE

Located within Highpeaks is the large cold-fusion reactor facility that supplies the Underground with electricity. It was created by the former Royal Scientist.

New Home/The Capital

The highest point of the Underground. Just beyond it is the Barrier, but seldom few live here anyways. The frosted-over castle is always decorated like it's Christmas Eve.

This AU was first conceptualized shortly after the release of DELTARUNE Chapter 2. At the time of posting, there is no official design for Dess or Mayor Holiday. Dess' design may be changed in the future if she ever appears in official UTDR content and Mayor Holiday has not been included in OTHERSWAP at all. Although she takes the role of Toriel in this AU, Dess is still the eldest daughter of Rudolph Holiday and is treated accordingly. This AU has decided to replace the Dreemurrs with the Holidays as they also exist within UNDERTALE canon (UNDERTALE 5th Anniversary Alarm Clock Winter Dialogue - Asgore, UNDERTALE Xbox port exclusive dialogue).

Do you base your Mettaton only on canon or do you have any favorite headcanons borrowed from fandom. Like, do you have any voices (voiceactors etc) that you think are perfect for him?

I'm not just asking about MTT, but about other UT/DR characters as well!

I mostly (try to) base him on canon, although I have so many headcanons about him now that he's basically my own character haha. Mostly stuff taken from my dreams or own ideas tho, I don't really tend to borrow unless it fits my very specific vision that I developed for him. But I do have a few headcanons that I borrowed from others. Like the plug tail. Or that he tastes make-up, nailpolish and hair products to test their quality. Or that his eyes flash red when he's angry. Or that he's aro and pansexual, although idk if I borrowed that.. I think it's actually my own. I just didn't really think about it until I saw other people bring it up as well. Hm. Or that he can feel ALL of his mechanics cause he like. literally became his body. Or that he's ticklish. Those two may or may not correlate. Or cooling fans. Sort of like the ones computers have. As in, instead of blushing his fans start to whirr to try and cool him down. I've seen it in some fanfictions and since it appeared in one of my dreams too it's basically canon to me.

As for the voice.. In Mettaton's case, I got a rather complex, VERY specific headcanon voice for him (mostly based on what he sounds like in my dreams) and I haven't heard anyone sound close enough to it. As for the other UT characters, I conducted a research (stole other people's headcanons basically xD), and made a list of voice(actor)s for them, behold:

Undertale characters and what videogames I think they would play

Frisk plays moon and earthbound (GET IT?)

Flowey/asriel plays skyrim ofc.

Toriel used to play wholesome games but then got her hands on doom and never looked back (she's top 100 ranked in every multiplayer fps)

Napstablook plays rhythm heaven. Obviously, but I also feel like they're a huge fan of Mario RPGs.

Sans likes bullet hells, that's it.

Papyrus plays every classic cosy game (animal crossing, stardew, etc. But he has also run through the entire souls franchise + bloodborne and elden ring multiple times.

Monster kid is NOT a viral game kid, they play nintendo games.

Undyne plays terraria, but she's also a huge fan of metroidvanias, can't decide if she's good or awful though.

Mew mew. Fallout new Vegas. Laugh.

Alphys is obviously a huge fan of dating sims, but I think she would also be a lucasarts appreciator.

Mettaton is a ddr pro, but he also plays dress-up games.

RG-01 and RG-02 play co-op games together :)

Muffet plays idle games.

Asgore plays team shooters, he always gets screamed at by his teammates but he enjoys it.

Chara is a smash sweat.

Any other ships you like other than soriel and the papyrus and your oc?

(I got really ramble-y in this post, so read more under the cut.)

It genuinely catches me off-guard whenever people bring up Pollyanna and especially Papyanna unprompted. I kinda assume when it comes to my characters and canon x fc (or oc if you prefer) ships that I'm the only one that cares about them. Polly is actually going to appear more in a future chapter, but I haven't fully decided the extent to her role since it's chapter 5 she'll appear in and we're still stuck in chapter 3.

All that being said, I don't really plan to shoehorn Papyrus into a relationship with Pollyanna in the comic itself. Any moments they have would hypothetically be one-sided on her part, and even then I don't have anything in particular planned.

As for the question you actually asked, yes, I do have other ships. Most prominent of which is Alphys and Undyne who are actually already married in the comic. You can see Alphys and sometimes Undyne wearing wedding rings. Alph's is silver, Undyne's is gold. (I seem to have forgotten Undyne's ring a lot whoops.)

In terms of other relationships between just characters from the actual games, the Dogi are another ship I support, though that probably doesn't count as much to others since they're canon from the start. In Defnodel, they currently have adopted their own weird puppy in the form of the human Eira from Frisk's class. (She was on page 148, if you forgot what she looks like.)

Royal Guards 01 and 02 are a cute pair as well, I just have an unfortunate blindness to a lot of Hotland NPCs as most of my favorite encounters happen in Snowdin, hence why I tend to forget the RG 01 and 02 pairing but remember the Dogi.

Finally, going back to Canon x FC, I pair Asgore with a dragon FC named Sirius. Undecided on if/when Sirius would appear here, but he's the adoptive father to Neptune whom also appeared on page 148 with Eira.

^Blue dude is Sirius if anyone was wondering what he looked like.

As for other main UT characters, I mostly just have crackships for them thanks to Tomodachi Life and I wouldn't call them canon in my universe. Noelle and Susie are cute in Deltarune, but as for Noelle and Suzy in Defnodel, don't expect anything major on account of the fact that as of this post they haven't even met yet. I have a small moment in mind that could be shippy if you squint, but I'm undecided on how much I want to develop their relationship in Defnodel.

FesTale Cast and Info (Updated)

FEStale is an Au (alternate universe) of the role-playing game: Undertale (Made by Toby Fox). FEStale is a crossover Au that takes game developer’s that use the RPG Maker Fes engine (it's a Rpg Maker on the 3ds) and characters from said developer's games. FEStale takes place on a hidden island, called Fes Island (It is an island that is isolated from the rest of humanity). The Au replaces OG Undertale’s characters with new ones and changes minor parts of the story, however it does not follow the role format that Underswap or whatever follows (Example: Sure, Bendivad might replace Toriel, but he’s anything but a caretaker). A good chunk of the story has fes lore and a few original story components. The Au was created by DetectiveShinx (aka Josiah23, as he is known on Rpg Maker Fes).

 Areas : 

Ruined City- Replaces the Ruins and was the first capitol before it was decimated during the “War”.

Snow-Side Peak- Replaces Snowdin Forest and is a tall mountain range filled with dense, snowy forests. 

Snow-Side Village- Replaces Snowdin Town and is home to Josiah and SmashX.

Dirty Bypass- Replaces Waterfall and is a gigantic cave system that connects Snow- Side Peak and the.

Rat Alley- Replaces the Tem Village and is home to the American Rat Brigade.

RustTown - A new town found in the middle of the Dirty Bypass. 

Savage Wasteland - Replaces the Hotlands and is a desert-like area with very little vegetation. It is also where Guy’s lab is located.

Nuclear REACTOR- Replaces the CORE and is what powers the entirety of Fes Island and is somehow totally safe for the environment.

FES City- Replaces the Capitol and is home to most of Fes Islands residents and the King himself. This is also where the “Hall of Fame”  is located.

Notes: Please, absolutely no shipping characters, I beg of thee. Go ahead and do a swap or switch up AU of this, as long as you have permission from moi.
