Celestialclan is on pause for rn but i for more freedom to play with Pearlclan so they are getting past and current day versions cuz i have a story that i want to start in the past where they start the clan then we yadda yadda it wasnt a problem UNTIL TODAY! Haha!😅

These cats are gonna be one of Pearlclan’s strongest warriors and their first medicine cat (i need a new name for these two but im strugglin lmao)

The warrior is so fluffyyyyyy i love her so much and shes got a huge personality with the paws to back it up! Im thinking of making her a warrior from a clan that defied starclan and was torn apart. Leaving the lands she used to know, due to land development. She follows as many rules lf the clans as she can as a rogue but longs for the companionship of a true clan backed by Starclan. (You know until i mess with it for LORE and fun twists hehehehehe)

The med cat was saved from an cat breeder, where most of the starting cats in Pearlclan escaped from, by the warrior and Pearlstar. He is very smart and a bit grumpy, he does actually crave power now that he is in the wild but finds it harder to gain due to his small size, being mixed with munchkin cat. Starclan does speak to him when he finds a sign from them. ***im being intentionally vague for now***

Lily - helped to create LilyClan, and gave connection to Fishpaw with “The Dead”.

The Swamp - usually hostile entity, who either accepts or rejects cat’s wishes to receive their role and name.

Lore

Past:

Fishpaw, Peatpelt and Mudkit used to live in clan previously known as PearlClan, where a lot, and I mean a lot cats lived. One fateful day, an unknown beast was spotted on the shore, which was ignored by the clan. Soon enough, cats regretted that decision since it began attacking any cat at any possible chance. After the event which cats now began calling “midnight massacre”, most of the clan was slaughtered, leaving only two apprentices and a kit. They ran as far as they possibly could, eventually fleeing to another side of their territory, and finding new lands, at which no cat has ever put their paw on. These lands cannot be that bad, right?

Present:

Right after Peatpelt received their full name, they decided to go and hunt something, hoping to return with couple of pieces of fresh-kill. After all, he’s the best hunter in the clan, and Fishpaw hunts only if it’s a necessity. But instead of getting some food, they found another creature, not unknown to their eyes: A large shadow with horns, and barely visible ‘straps’ of weed on their horns. Peatpelt ended up getting in the camp empty-pawed, and scared to death. He tried to explain what he saw, and to his surprise, every other clan member believed him. And after all, Fishpaw told that she never seen the creature on the swamp, and the most disturbing fact about this was that it appeared just after Peat received his full name. Coincidence?

heyall! posted this in a discord server recently but i wanna get yalls thoughts >:D me and my friend are making a new server bout clans who live in a coastal forest and so i just wanted to put this poll up to get yalls opinions on names n stuff

theres gonna be about 3 clans but the 3rd one is still in thought so heres some random quick sketches of the other 2:

clan 1: a dried out cove which is shallow with water at times (about ankle-high for reg cats) that has an old half-sunken ship within sand in the middle. it was abandoned by twolegs quite a long time ago when they found this land, the clan was thought to be founded by some of the cats on said ship

clan 2: these cats live on a cliff that overlooks the ocean and rely on the tide and moon to get food and materials such as seabirds to eat and seaweed to make their dens

we also lookin for suggestions for what clan 3 should be about too cuz we practically brainded rn /j

for some lil surrounding info: theres gonna be a coastal town with a fishing biz some cats steal from, an abandoned railroad with an old train thats a popular home for rouges, and some old clan ruins that nobody remembers the name or history of exept for a few elders (;

- Akari couldnt go back into the future anymore while Ingo still could, (and now a bit of saddies) Ingo wears the scarfs like Akari did as a reminder to her but also kinda does it unconciously

- Ingo wears pale pink shirts and stuff cuz pearlclan, and has taken a big liking to turtlenecks

- Emmet would fukin pull his beard all the time just cause, but its just light tugging dont worry pfpf

- Emmet cant grow any facial hair, itll just be like peachfluff but nothing more

are there rules you follow for pearlclan/your evil run?

losely, yeah! when making the clan, i looked for any traits that could be used for evil (bloodthirsty, loyal, etc). with the modern game, i'd have exiled the starclan guide to the dark forest, but i wasn't playing modern so i didn't have that option lol

uhhhh if a cat tried convince someone to run away with them (cough cough deadpaw cough) i killed them. same thing if a cat retired. i declared that if a cat brings a litter back home with them one day, then they've kidnapped them from another clan. that's... about it, really!

the pearl clan basically has to hunt pokemon to survive. 

They live in the alabaster ICElands, there’s very few non-meat sources of food available for them. yeah they can eat sand radishes and the handful of berries off of the trees that are present, but that’s not enough t feed an entire settlement. 

they also probably trade because there’s no other choice but to trade to get more food, but that still wouldn’t be enogh for a settlement. and even then what would they trade? crunchy salt?  doppel bonnets? both are way easier to find in the coronet highlands than in the icelands, do they solely trade sand radishes? that’s not really something i feel like they would be able to survive off of. unless they do some other type of item collecting (mining thanks to Lian?) they wouldn’t realy be able to survive without pokemon meat. 

the most “huntable” pokemon in the are is piloswine. it’s big and fat and probably has a lot of good meat and also fur and tusks that can be used to construction or trade. They could even hunt mamoswines sometimes, but these would be the hardcore experienced hunters-only types of hunts that are often deadly if done recklessly. 

that could make garchomps a serious threat to pearlclan hunters because the land sharks would surely love to eat mamoswines, but those same mamoswines would definitely destroy garchomps so they would only really eat mamoswines if they can steal them from puny humans. which would make humans fear and hate garchomps, who are so powerful they can basically do whatever they want to do and can’t be stopped unless a strong (and hopefully fast) ice type is there to stop them. cue their affinity for ice types, who are also pretty common in the area so it works only in their favor. 

some other pokemon they could hunt include stantler, basculin, buneary and maybe snover (it’s a plant?), but i still feel like piloswines would be the ideal source of food for the pearlclan. 

and this necessity to eat meat could make their conflict with the diamond clan, who lives in a place with so many poison types and very few really commestible mons thus making them more susceptible to only eat plants which also grow better in the crimson mirelands another conflicting lifestyle they can’t agree on.

feel lucky you only have 72 my first clan (pearlclan) had about 13 pages of cats (mostly kits) and i think 3 or 4 pages for starclan. bc there wasnt a scroll feature yet due to how many cats the events page usually went on too long for me to see everything lmaoo

I love Volo, however I am also a huge sucker for Adaman so... bam take this. Corruption is just mmm

You're in a new world and everything just clicks for you. You know what Pokemon are and everything comes easy compared to the others except for one thing.

You don't have any memories of your past- heck who knows if you have one! All you really remember is your name and being a living pokemon master?

However you begin to enter their community with ease after that rocky.. start of proving you're not going to die and soothe the first lord. Everyone looks at you with a shine in their eye, and often whispers about what a hero you are!

You trust everyone with your heart because they are all you know. Some might consider you gullible or naive, but they just don't understand. The professor and so many other people set you on a path to do something great! To help people and strive towards a brighter future with pokemon! Surely they wouldn't do anything wrong.. right?

Volo was one of the first couple of people you met, and he just seemed so nice. All his pokemon are raised with friendship and his smile looks so sincere. He may be a little handsy at times especially with your thighs and waist, but it's Volo! He's just very strange at times, but you can't put your finger on it, and you always end up in strange situations with him!

Adventures with Volo are always crazy! Sometimes your clothes will go missing if you're bathing in a stream or you'll need to warm up with Volo with skin contact. Either way, you'll get into some strange situation and having Volo save the day.

Adaman is your friend who you can't stop bickering with. He's often teasing you with that smug face, but also praises you as well? You're sick of the hot and cold treatment! He's so mean and you get your revenge every now and then!

Siding with Iridia or taking your time to meet up with him really bothers him. You can also hang out near Volo and he'll get frustrated without a thought. Half the time you don't even try to get him riled up near Volo! (Praise and degradation with adaman? At the same time !? )

If Volo is nearby, Adaman will hover near you a little closer and maybe even hold your hand/wrist. He can't let your time be wasted by this manipulative fool. He suddenly becomes even more friendly and affectionate to try and send a note to Volo. He'll hold your waist or sit you in his lap. Anything to prove that you're his :). He might give you a couple friendly bites as well :))

If Adaman gets really angry, he'll push you in the nearest corner or hiding spot, and he won't waste any time disciplining you :).

The passive aggressive competition these two will have is immeasurable.

And Adaman is not one to lose.

Volo is more bold with his advances, were Adamant it's all about subtle and sneaky, it's not much but enough to piss Volo off.

I can see Adaman like At first protecting you from this kind of manipulation from your gullible ass. But then as he gets more and more frustrated by his subtle messages that he likes you just not getting to you he slowly becomes more willing to 'Play Dirty' 'Volo always takes advantage of how gullible and oblivious, so what's in the harm in joining in just a little bit?

And then Iridia is just there, she probably caught on to the two boys and notice their not-so-innocent motives. And she's like 'nope nope nope you can date literally anybody but these fools'

Iridia want you to be with someone respectful

The astute warrior!

He was found by Ratrose and Wildwhisker while they were searching for herbs. He was sure speaking to them would get him into the clan especially with his leg the way it looked.

No matter how much he knew he could work with what he had, Pearlclan (the neighboring clan to Celestialclan) would never let him join. They were too focused on aesthetics to see how great he was at fishing anyway! Hed go where he'd be appreciated! Risingstar would have taken him in even without Ratrose's recommendation. She saw the strength in his eyes, his leg would not hold him back from warrior duties. He was still determined to show all his skills and became a familiar face in the medicine cats den. Thankfully it was for cuts, scraps and cracked paws from helping Wildwhisker with her medicine runs. Pepperbloom worked his tail off to show his appreciation to the medicine cats and feels a real connection to Starclan even though he joined a lot later in his life than most former rouges. He likes to tease and goof on cats that give him guff so he tends to come off as a butthead to a lot of adult cats

Excelling in Speech, he feels every good warrior should know how to represent their clan in every altercation. He can be a jokester butthead to his clan mates but the second another clan is in the room he gets serious. Even if he does go a bit too harsh when he is against Pearlclan...those prissy pretty snots! He does have a huge soft spot for kits and is every kits goofy uncle with tall tales! He has a new story of how he git his scar every time you ask and the biggest fish he's caught has a new description.they are just full of stories!

He hopes to have a kit of his own but until he finds the right mate he's content with protecting the clan's future warriors! Who knows!? Maybe he will mentor his kit's future mentor! 😀

anyway more rambling based on something i was thinking abt last night BUT. hmm how do i order this. i guess lemme just retrace my thought process?

#1: HOW messed up is ingo. i mean he has amnesia so that's probably like, at least a head injury, if the drugs didn't maybe do it. and i feel like if you toss a confused and disoriented cat off a thing moving probably around 50mph and it does not even Attempt to stick the landing it's probably gonna get pretty significantly fucked up. like, at least one broken leg, pretty bad road rash, etc.

#2: so ingo probably initially gets helped by the medicine cat in pearlclan, which is probably calaba, right. leafback or w/e. and then how long does that like. take? probably a significant amount of time and resources. if he's THAT messed up, as discussed above. which could raise some concerns w/ irida (nacrestar?) if the clan is like, at all struggling to begin with. and would explain why sneasler/direclaw gets assigned to mentor him once he's moving. irida's like this is YOUR problem. if he is not worth the expense of rescuing him it is YOUR thing to deal with. and then if he DOES bring back useful resources from the tracks nobody else will go near, that would also be a pretty significant bonus if they were in desperate need

#3: side thought 1: calaba's an old as fuck cat and yes she's still stubbornly doing her job BUT there is probably a very real concern among pearlclan that if she doesn't take an apprentice soon, she's gonna like, Die, or get injured or sick or something and nobody will have any idea how to take care of her. (this is a thing in pla canon too i feel like. and i think we've talked abt it before and i've suggested that coin was her apprentice, and then she left, which we could even keep in this au if we wanted.) that's a side thought tho. back to the main point.

#4: side thought 2: i cannot imagine calaba heals everything perfectly she is. a cat. with cobwebs and sticks and some plants. like at the very least that broken leg probably doesn't set perfectly. especially if he starts using it before he strictly should, which he prrobably does considering irida is pushing for him to Be Useful Already. so he probably winds up with like a permanent limp. which like can be learned around but probably doesn't make hunting super easy if he's also got to learn around it (and depending on what environments he was hunting in before+how much he actually did)

#5: combining side thoughts 1 and 2 actually what if ingo becomes the next medicine cat? herbs and sticks can't run away from you but they DO require a good memory and recall for like. procedures and details, which he's Great at. and he'd probably enjoy it a hell of a lot more than being a warrior, too. ik in canon the medicine cat position was a little bit of a Cat Banishment Zone but we can dismiss that and give them more activity/general responsibilities
