notes: got the idea for this out of the blue, but really liked it! i had a lot of fun writing these and would honestly be down to make a part two if you guys want it. also kaveh’s part was written before he was officially released this patch, so if anything is inaccurate, i apologize!

Diluc:
When Diluc had asked you to attend an event at his house in honor of the winery, you hadn’t expected it to be so extravagant. Though, perhaps it was because it was the first time you had ever been to his house. Either way, you were in awe at the sheer luxuriousness everything seemed to possess.
“Wow, I seriously cannot believe you’ve never invited me to your house before,” you tease as your eyes glanced around the room. The dining table was huge and lined with various dishes you didn’t even know existed. Not to mention what the entire house looked like in general. You were too scared to touch anything in fear of it breaking.
“I did invite you over — several times, if you can recall. But according to you, you’re just so busy you never have the time,” the red haired male corrected you as he moved slightly behind you to guide you across the room, shoulders bumping together every so often.
“Well if I had known you were living like this maybe I would’ve made the time,” you joked, intentionally bumping your shoulder into his as you threw a smile toward him. His eyes averted themselves from your face and smiled off into the distance, completely ignoring your jests about his wealth.
The two of you had continued to joke around with each other playfully as he walked you around his house to give you a tour of sorts. You had noticed all the people around as you walked, all laughing and enjoying the delicious food and wine Diluc had provided. Even Kaeya was here, you noted to your own surprise, seemingly catching up with some of the maids.
“Oh, I almost forgot, there’s someone I’d like you to meet,” Diluc interrupted your moment to observe. His hand moved to the lower half of your back to guide you in the direction of blonde haired woman in maid attire. Your hand shook hers as Diluc introduced her to you, “This is Adelinde, the head housemaid of the winery.”
You smiled and told her your name, “It’s a pleasure to meet you, I’m Diluc’s best friend.”
“Oh,” she said strangely, as if you had said something wrong. Almost seamlessly, Adelinde covered up her tone as she spoke again, “Ahem, it’s a pleasure to meet you as well. Please do enjoy yourselves tonight and let me know if you need anything.”
Diluc cleared his throat and put his hand around your shoulders as you said your goodbyes. Although, the second she was out of your sights, he dropped it, “So, how about some food?”
You hesitated, sensing something was wrong. His smile looked stiff, like it wasn’t quite reaching his eyes. You could almost sense desperation within his tone, like he didn’t want you to start your usual interrogation when you thought something was wrong, “Oh um, sure.”
He walked you over to the table standing next to your side, but didn’t dare to put a hand on you like usual. It wasn’t something you often paid any attention toward, but now it just felt weird — cold even.
“I’ll go grab you some fresh wine from the cellar, take whatever you’d like,” Diluc said quickly before rushing away. Your brow furrowed as you watched him disappear from your sight.
“What’s with the frown?” a silk voice asked. Your eyes snapped up to meet the blue haired man you knew to be Diluc’s brother, Kaeya.
“Long time no see, Kaeya,” you said, turning your attention back to the food as you served yourself a plate. Kaeya grabbed one too and began filling it as well.
“Oh, you should try these, they’re delicious,” he said as he placed a small dessert on your plate, “but don’t tell Diluc I said that. Can’t have him thinking I like his baking or anything.”
He continued as he grabbed himself another glass of wine off the table next to the food, “Anyway, what’s up with the gloom expression? Don’t tell me Diluc hurt your feelings?”
“No,” you grumble. It had been awhile since you had last seen Kaeya. Not that it was on purpose, because honestly, you never had a problem with him like Diluc did. Time just didn’t seem to allow the two of you to meet aside from a few times a year. “If anything, it was the other way around. Problem is, I don’t know what I did.”
“Well if it’s any consolation, Diluc is very fond of y—“
“Kaeya. Leave them alone,” Diluc interrupts with an annoyed look, shooing Kaeya away. Kaeya leaves without a word. A sly expression was on his face, hoping you would catch on to what he was trying to tell you.
Diluc held the bottle of wine in front of him, silently offering you some. You nodded your head and he poured you a glass before making another excuse to walk off again. The same thing seems to happen a few more times before you reach the end of the night. What had started off as a fun event for the two of you to enjoy, seemed to trickle into nothing but misery for the both of you.
The walk home was quiet. Honestly, you weren’t even sure why he had offered to walk you home if he was just going to stay silent the entire time, “You didn’t have to walk me home if you’re just gonna have to walk all the way back, y’know?”
“It’s fine,” he said curtly, not even making eye contact with you, “I have to go to Angel’s Share anyway. There’s some paperwork I have to pick up.”
“Oh.”
It’s silent again for the next ten minutes of the walk. It isn’t until you’re approaching the bridge to the city that you speak up again, “Diluc?”
“Yeah?”
You sighed and stopped walking, “Listen…did I maybe, I don’t know, say or do something to upset you? Because if I did, I’m really sorry and I just want things to not be awkward between us.”
You could tell he was contemplating not answering you by the frustrated expression on his face. His mouth opened and closed a few times before he finally spoke, still staring somberly off into the distance, “Answer this honestly. What are we? What is this?” His hands gestured between you and him as he spoke. His tone is rushed and there’s bitterness behind it.
“Well, we’re friends…aren’t we?” you carefully asked, almost questioning yourself.
“That’s the problem,” Diluc finally cracked, “I don’t want to be just friends. This entire time I thought that maybe there was something more than that between us…but I suppose I was wrong.”
Your eyes widened and your hands moved to grip tightly around his own before he could walk away from you again, “Why didn’t you say anything? I could’ve told you I felt the same if you had just, I don’t know? Said something about it? How was I supposed to know you had feelings for me?”
“I’m sorry, what? So you do feel the same way?”
You put two and two together and a teasing smiled made it’s way back to your face,“Archons, was this all because I introduced myself as your best friend to Adelinde?”
“What? No, of course not,” Diluc adamantly denied your accusation. He grabbed your hand and began to pull you away while you burst out laughing at the realization, “You’ve had too much to drink.”
“No! I barely drank anything, you liar,” you punched his shoulder, “Admit it, you were upset you got friendzoned and —“
Diluc turned around swiftly, pulled you toward him and placed his lips on yours within a matter of seconds, effectively shutting you up. His fingers interlocked with yours as he pulled away and began to walk you to your house. When you arrived at your doorstep, you turned around and placed one final kiss on his lips.
“I’ll see you tomorrow, okay?” you smiled. Diluc looked away again, failing to resist the smile that tugged at his lips. It was the first time Diluc had been genuinely happy in a long time.
He smiled as he turned away from your house to leave, “Yeah, see you tomorrow.”

Xiao:
Xiao felt his heart racing when he heard your voice calling his name from somewhere in Liyue. Somewhere he couldn’t pinpoint. There was pain in it, and Xiao hated when you said his name in any way that wasn’t positive.
“Xiao! Please,” he heard you call out again, this time more pained than the last. The sound of your cries echoed in his ears and a feeling of his own pain surrounded his heart.
A few seconds longer and you could’ve ended up dead. It’s all Xiao could think about when he finally made it to you, heavily breathing in and out from how scared he was to lose you.
You were covered in bruises and bathed in blood — whether or not it was your own, he wasn’t sure. Your eyes were half shut and your head was leaned back in relief at the sight of him. Several abyss mages of varying elements lie dead on the ground around you. Your polearm lay amongst them, cracked in half and dented all over.
Xiao spotted your vision a few feet away, anemo like his own. He gathered it quickly alongside your polearm before securing it on him so he could pick you up. Once his arms were wrapped carefully around you, he didn’t hesitate to teleport away and back to the inn.
“Here, lay down,” he spoke curtly. You watched through half-lidded eyes as he moved across the room to fetch his medical supplies. This wasn’t the first time he had to treat your injuries, but it wasn’t often that it was this bad.
Xiao worked quickly with your injuries, it was effortless and he was careful not to hurt you. Unbeknownst to you, his heart was racing out of control the entire time. Not only was there left over anxiety from when you had first called for him, but it had carried over and made itself at home as he worked away at your injuries. There was too much red oozing out of your body and the bruises were only growing.
What if he hadn’t gotten there on time? What if he was only a few seconds later? What if he hadn’t heard you call out for him?
“Archons, I am feeling so much better,” you interrupted his poisonous thoughts. Your leg was lifted into the air as you inspected the bandages wrapped around it and all the bloodied rags that sat beside you on the floor.
Xiao’s eyes hardened for a moment while looking over you, an unreadable expression within them, “Please do not get injured like this again.”
Contrary to his eyes, yours softened and you took his hand in yours, “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to worry you, I just—“
“It’s fine,” he cut you off when he began to feel weird, not used to people caring about his feelings. Xiao helped you up and out of the bed, his arms wrapped around yours to keep you stable as he walked you to the bathroom counter to finally change out of your bloodied clothes.
Your face was close to his as you spoke, “No, Xiao, really. I can’t thank you enough for all the times you’ve helped me out and even allowed me to help you. You just mean so much to me and I’m so lucky to have you as a friend.”
‘So lucky to have you as a friend’
It echoed in his mind over and over again, more than the voices of his late yaksha friends. For once, another source of pain had finally outmatched his past.
You didn’t see him how he saw you.
Xiao felt his body go cold at the realization. He remained oddly silent as he helped you to the bathroom, not even bothering to give you a response or so much as a simple nod. As soon as you were actually in the bathroom, he backed up immediately and nodded before mumbling something about needing to take care of some other stuff. He had even disappeared before you could utter a goodbye.
Not returning for hours was something you were used to when it came to Xiao. He wasn’t social at all, and that was something you readily accepted when you first offered to become friends with him — even if he declined over and over again.
But hours turned into days and days turned into a week. Xiao hadn’t returned since that night you were injured.
You weren’t sure what happened to him. Maybe he was hurt while out protecting, or maybe he was just in one of those weird social slumps again. But when Xiao finally ran into you one day, it was undeniably awkward between the two of you.
“Xiao?” you urgently called out to him, a mix of worry and shock in your voice, “Hey, are you okay?”
“I’m fine,” he replied bluntly, eyes barely looking at yours. He looked as if he wanted to be anywhere but there.
You squinted your eyes, analyzing him carefully, “That’s it? I haven’t seen you for a week! I get injured and then all of the sudden you just freak out and leave? It doesn’t make any sense. Listen, if something happened, you can tell—“
“Nothing happened. I said I’m fine,” he cut you off before turning his body and grabbing his polearm, ready to teleport off like he always did. You quickly grabbed his arm before he could though, a tight grip that wasn’t painful but made sure he couldn’t escape.
“Let go.”
“No.”
“Ugh, could you stop holding my hand like that.”
“Huh?” Your phase morphed into shock, confused as to why he suddenly cared about you holding his hand. You’d done it in the past, so it wasn’t like it was anything new to him. Besides, you were always careful not to do anything to freak him out.
“If we are just friends, then I do not want you holding my hand like that,” Xiao said before pulling his hand from yours with a harsh sigh.
“Wait, what?” you asked quickly before he could leave, “What does this have to do with us being friends?”
Xiao stared blankly at you for a few seconds, like he was contemplating whether or not he should speak again, until finally, he confessed, “The other day…you thanked me for being such a good friend. That is not what I want.”
A pang hit your chest and a tiny prick rippled behind your eyes at his confession, “You don’t want to be friends anymore?”
“Huh? Why would you think such idiotic things? No— I mean yes, I do want to be your friend. But I do not want to be…just friends,” Xiao explained. His cheeks were beginning to turn red and his eyes averted even more. He was nervous, you finally realized.
“You…you have feelings for me? Xiao, you should’ve told me. Avoiding me for a week straight wasn’t cool, you know?”
Xiao nods and crosses his arms, seemingly unsatisfied with your answer until you added on, “I have feelings for you too. I really like you, Xiao. I didn’t mean to make you feel like you were just a friend, but I also didn’t want to make you uncomfortable or scare you off or something.”
“It’s okay,” he said quietly, barely above a whisper. His hand twitched before it quietly reached for your own and took it in his. His grip was firm, like he was scared you would leave.
“Xiao?” You grabbed his attention when you noticed his eyes falter, like he still couldn’t quite grasp the reality of your feelings.
“Yes?”
“I really like you, okay? I don’t want you to ever think otherwise.”

Kaveh:
“Kaveh! Look at this!” your smile lit up as you dragged Kaveh toward a merchant selling various little trinkets. Kaveh willingly followed, idiotically smiling behind you at your childlike excitement. His hand tightly gripped around yours to ensure you wouldn’t go too far or get separated from him.
The two of you had decided to take a greatly needed break after working for hours upon hours each day for the past two weeks on a shiny new blueprint for a brand new Akademiya research center in the desert. The complications of what the research required versus the heat in the desert and its effect on the lab materials was making it difficult to come up with a practical, yet complex enough lab for the researchers. The headache it had brought upon the two of you was no joke, and you had finally realized that a break was the only thing that would get you through the block you were collectively stuck in.
“Hello, dears,” the old woman spoke gently, a bright smile on her face that perfectly creased her eyes. She had an immensely warm aura to her and you couldn’t help but match her smile. Kaveh glanced to you, a small smile gracing his own face as his cheeks turned slightly pink. He couldn’t help it after he saw how good you looked today.
“So,” you started, eyes bouncing around to each and every item she had to sell, “How long has your shop been open? Everything here looks so beautiful!”
“Oh, why thank you, dear! It’s been open for nearly two decades now. It is indeed strange to see how much time has passed,” she answered happily, reminiscing on the early days of her shop. She had told you how she opened it with her husband, but how he had long since passed, to which Kaveh and you had offered your respects.
Your eyes danced over all the trinkets again, but you couldn’t help but notice the little figurines that looked like creatures from your childhood. You couldn’t quite place where you knew them from, but you picked it up regardless and fidgeted with it before turning to Kaveh, “I think I’m gonna get this one, what do you think?”
“It’s cute,” he said with a gentle smile, admiring the little blue plant like figure in your hand, “I think I’ll get one in red.”
You finished paying the kind woman for your purchases and thanked her dearly once the two of you were done. The conversation had continued a little while afterward, with both you and Kaveh intrigued in the stories she kindly shared with you.
The sun was beginning to near its setting time, you noticed. The blues were fading to oranges and reds and the air was beginning to get a little colder, signaling the night was on its way.
“Thank you again,” you told her, “These are really nice, I’ll be sure to place them in my workroom so I can see it everyday!”
“Oh, that’s awfully kind of you, dear. I must say, I admire the way you treat everyone as your friend. It’s truly a rare quality to find in someone these days,” she gushed.
“Thank you! I really just try to make everyone feel comfortable and welcome,” you explained before you said your goodbyes. The woman said her goodbyes too, telling the two of you to visit her again sometime soon and tell her all about the architectural work you guys do.
Kaveh nearly stopped in his tracks as he processed the conversation the two of you just had. You hadn’t even caught the hesitation in his voice or the sudden change in his mood.
You treat everyone like that?
“Ugh, she was so nice, wasn’t she?” you rambled, but Kaveh was only half listening. Not that you had noticed that either.
“Oh, uh, yeah!” he blurted out, not entirely sure that he had even heard you correctly. His eyes followed the pattern of his shoes pressing against the floor as he swung the bag next to him back and forth, lost in thought. You didn’t question him once.
It was quiet for the rest of the walk aside from you announcing that you were tired and were going to check in for the night. Kaveh had agreed and walked you home all while hoping that you wouldn’t notice his sudden quietness.
If Kaveh was being honest, his brain felt like it was spiraling out of control.
One moment he’s walking around with you all day, enjoying his time off. And the next, he can’t stop replaying a silly conversation with an old woman who he barely knew.
The worst part is, he couldn’t help but take it personally. Being treated like he was on a pedestal and then having it ripped away is something Kaveh is used to, but he never thought he would have to go through it with you.
You made him feel special, like one of a kind. The way your eyes always lit up so brightly when you greeted him at work everyday. The way you hugged him when you were feeling down and no one else. The way you always treated him to food and drinks without ever asking him to pay you back because you knew he was struggling — and not once did you ever make him feel bad about it. The way you would jump to hold his hand when you got excited about something or when you were scared when lightning would strike.
You never did any of those things with anyone else. But all this time, you made everyone feel like they were your friend, like they were special in their own way. For all he knew, you did little things like that with everyone and made them feel like one of a kind too. Maybe Kaveh was nothing, he thought, maybe he was really just like everyone else. Just your friend and nothing more.
Kaveh bowed his head to his chest when he arrived home, his hand leaned forward to support himself as he felt the tears coming on. Being emotional or overdramatic was something Alhaitham had always criticized him for, but you? You always taught him to embrace it and let what he was feeling out. You had helped him with so much of his life and moving on toward bigger and better things, but now he couldn’t help but feel bitterness in his heart.
The keys in the blonde’s hand returned back to his pocket almost immediately after retrieving them. His palm dragged down the gray wall of Alhaitham’s house and back to his side. Kaveh couldn’t bear to enter his own home, not at this hour with such painful thoughts in his mind. Alhaitham would probably nag him anyway, and he really didn’t feel like dealing with his cruel words tonight — and Kaveh never liked when they were about you. You didn’t deserve that, even if it was just a joke.
And so he returned to the tavern once more in his life. Drinking away his problems was unhealthy, you had told him, but right now he didn’t care. You weren’t here and there was no one around to stop him from throwing back drink after drink. It had been a long time since Kaveh had been truly drunk, but today was enough to turn him away from sobriety.
“Kaveh. Get up.” A voice echoed painfully in his ears.
“[Name]?” he mumbled out incoherently as he blindly reached toward the figure in front of him. Their hand swatted his away before swooping under to pick him up. Kaveh mumbled your name a few more times, desperately trying to figure out what was happening.
“Why are you at the Tavern, Kaveh? Have you not learned your lesson about drinking?”
Oh. That’s who it was. Kaveh should have known by the sharpness in the voice or the annoying familiarity it held.
“Alhaitham? Get off of me,” he tried pushing the Scribe away. Alhaitham didn’t budge as he slammed a few bills on the table and carried Kaveh out of the Tavern. Lambad waved him off, but thanked him for taking care of the architect.
Your name continued to slur from his mouth, blending together into what almost sounded like gibberish. Not to mention the near beating Alhaitham had endured as he carried Kaveh around Sumeru.
You, on the other hand, hadn’t expected a knock at your door at nearly two in the morning.
“Alhaitham? What’s going on? Why do you have Kaveh?” you quickly questioned. Alhaitham shoved Kaveh toward you, a pained groan falling from his lips as he fell into you. The Scribe explained the situation to you. How he had never seen Kaveh come home that night, but later found him at Lambad’s Tavern drinking himself to death as he cried to the sound of your name.
You could only muster a silent nod out, confused but entirely willing to take care of Kaveh. You cared a lot for him after all. Alhaitham had shown himself out afterward, telling you to drop him back off tomorrow so he won’t bother you too much with all his whining. You breathed out a strained laugh and then shut the door before you turned your attention back to Kaveh and helped him to your couch.
“Kaveh?” you asked gently as you tucked a blanket over his shivering body. Teary red eyes stared back at you blankly, refusing to answer. You sighed and then nodded, accepting he may not have been willing to tell you anything. And although you had never outright admitted it, drunk Kaveh was not someone you enjoyed dealing with, “If you don’t tell me what’s wrong, I can’t help you.”
“It doesn’t matter. You can’t help me anyway,” he scoffed and turned away like a child who just got told they couldn’t have their favorite toy. You wanted to say your patience was wearing thin, but honestly, you could never truly be mad at Kaveh.
“Kaveh.”
It was silent for a moment. You could only see about half of Kaveh’s face as he buried the other half in the side of the couch with his hair covering parts of his eyes. The quiver of his lip, however, was not amiss to you. Neither was the quiet sniffle or the tears that gently slid down his face.
“It’s nothing,” he whispered to you, voice cracking as a hand quickly moved to his mouth to muffle his cries. He hoped you didn’t hear, but he knew you weren’t stupid.
“It’s not nothing. You’re hurt, Kaveh,” you rubbed his back. Kaveh leaned into your touch and brought his head up to meet your eyes.
Teary eyes stared into yours and he sighed before speaking, giving into you like he wished he always could have, “I thought I was more than just a friend to you. But I was stupid and I realized today that I’m not any more special than anyone else. You treat me just like you treat everyone else because you’re so kind and caring and— Archons, I am so stupid to believe that we were ever more than that.”
Kaveh paused before he spoke again, voice shakier than before, “I really don’t want you to leave, but I get it if you want to or if you don’t want to be friends anymo—”
Your lips were on his before he could finish his sentence. When you pulled back, you noticed his eyes widened like he had sobered up all at once, “You are special to me, Kaveh. I’m so sorry if I made you feel like you weren’t.”
Kaveh smiled as a few more tears spilled out of his eyes, “You really mean it?”
“With my whole heart.”

What About Me? Ch. 1
___HERES THE STORY SO FAR!!! NOT BETA READ SORRYYYYY___
PAIRING- JAX X READER (ROMANTIC)
Something is wrong. This isn't right. You were just lying in bed, starting a new VR game. Where are you now? There’s… music playing. Chipper, happy music. And every single color is like your mom’s phone screen- full-on brightness. You blink a few times, staring around. There’s a group of people… But they aren't people, exactly. They seem more like children's toys.
You're suddenly feeling very, very overwhelmed. You can feel your body shaking as panic punches you hard in the gut. You’re going to scream, you're going to have a breakdown, you're going to-
“Where am I?” Oh. Well, that wasn’t so bad. Until the motley group turns and looks at you. The fear only rises as a doll woman steps closer to you “Another one? But Pomni just got here last week…” You blink, utterly dumbfounded. She spoke to you. You can understand her.
“Who are you?” a second question makes its way past your lips, your mind searching desperately for some kind of clarity. “This one’s taking it pretty well. Unless you count the crying.” another voice piped up as a purple rabbit sauntered over, stopping right next to you, “at least they aren't screaming like someone did when she got here.”
“Jax!” the doll snapped at the rabbit, “I’m sorry about him, he’s just a bully. I’m Ragatha.” she gently placed an arm over your shoulder, causing a small bit of relief to flood through you. Something grounding. “I know this is really scary and off-putting, but I promise you’ll be okay.”
“Except you can never leave.” Jax’s smile widened. Your heart dropped rather suddenly “N-never leave?” you asked, looking from Jax to Ragatha. “Afraid not, my dear!” a third voice, a rather loud one, came to your attention. You turned to see who this could be and almost jumped out of your skin.
A set of teeth with bulging eyes staring at you, hovering a few feet in the air, “Welcome to the Amazing Digital Circus! I’m your ringmaster, Caine!” he greeted enthusiastically, spreading his arms in a display of showmanship. You think you’ve had enough.
Reaching to your face, you try to pull the headset off. But… it's not there. It’s just your face. But it doesn't feel like your face. It feels like a soft silicone rubber, almost like the Gumby toy you’d had as a kid. “It’s not there!” you yelp, now simply holding your own head.
“It’s okay, I promise you’re okay,” Ragatha gently reached over and took your hands from your head, “Just take a breath, okay?” You nodded, taking a deep breath and relaxing a bit, “Why isn’t it here?”
“Who knows? You’re stuck either way, why bother thinkin’ about it?” Jax walked past you, shrugging. You can already feel a twinge of anger at this… man? Rabbit? You’re clearly terrified and he can’t bother being kind for one second?
Oddly, that anger only serves to calm you more. You ignore him and turn back to Ragatha, “Okay. I’m stuck here… in the circus… we can’t leave. You’re Ragatha. That's Jax. That’s Caine,” you list your knowledge, nodding with each statement. A small smile spread across her face, “Exactly.”
Nodding, you glance to the other circus members “What about… them?” you ask. Ragatha points to each member “This is Zooble, that’s Gangle, there’s Pomni,” she gestures to a pile of pillows, “Kinger is in there.” You made a mental note of each, making sure to introduce yourself later.
“Ya know, it's kind of refreshing not having to deal with some crybaby freakin’ out on us,” Jax mused, waving a finger in your general direction. The anger twinged once more, and before you could stop it, a realtor shot from your lips, “It would be refreshing if you shut your mouth. Nobody wants to hear your opinion.”
Shock spread across his face momentarily, then he frowned “I don’t care what anybody wants to hear or not. I say whatever I want to.” Ragathe interrupted suddenly, “OKAY! Let’s not fight… Um, what did you say you wanted us to call you?”
“I didn’t say. I’m- uh… My name…” you couldn’t remember. Terror gripped your chest once more. You could see Jax smiling, and that only worsened it. They knew you wouldn’t know. You pressed the anger back. No fighting.
“Um… just… just call me (Y/N),” you spoke quickly, taking the name off the top of your head. With a nod, Ragatha smiled, “Alright. Well, welcome to the circus, (Y/N).” You couslnt help but return the grin. She was too kind, making you feel so welcome.
“Why don’t I show you your bedroom, then?” she offered, “if you’d like me to?” “Sure,” you accepted, following her away from the group. You couldn’t help but notice Jax staring at you as you left. Something about his face made you feel off. You couldn't place it, maybe he was angry? But it didn’t feel like he was. Oh well. You could deal with that later. For now, you focused on getting to your room, getting settled, and simply taking in your situation. After all… you were here to stay, weren’t you?

Ghost!Robin Part 5
First, Previous
This is probably the segment you've all been waiting for. Hope it holds up to expectations! 1.1k words.
----------
Before Danny could ask any questions about what the big deal was, Dick nudged him. “Which do you want—curry or beef?”
“Can I try both?”
“Alfred loves to see people enjoy his food. Eat as much as you can, then take a few more bites.” Dick handed him one platter followed by another. Robin watched on as Danny scooped some of each onto his plate.
When the ghost pointed to the potatoes and patted his stomach, Danny made sure to grab a large scoop and took a bite of that first. It was heavenly.
He raised his second spoonful up to Robin as a thank you for the recommendation.
“The potatoes are my favorite, too,” commented Jason who must’ve seen.
That caused Danny to raise and eyebrow and flick his eyes to Robin again. “I can understand why; they’re to die for.”
Jazz choked back a laugh. “Now you’re just stealing Dick’s joke from earlier,” she said.
“What can I say? It was a good one.”
Dick clucked his tongue. “Jason’s the same way. I don’t get how you can joke about almost dying.”
Danny tried the curry and shrugged. “This is so good. And I dunno, death jokes are super common in Amity. What else are you supposed to do when surrounded by ghosts?”
Dick just shook his head. “Well, if you say so. Now, here, try this, too,” he said as he scooped more food onto Danny’s plate.
Danny did so obediently and the conversation moved to lighter topics.
When he was mostly done with his plate, Robin decided it would be a great time to sit down on the table between him and Jazz. He stared at Danny and pointed to himself then raised an eyebrow. “When help me?” he mouthed.
“Jazz, I hope you’re well rested because I keep remembering more things I need to tell you about tonight after dinner.” On the last words, he made eye contact with Robin.
Who was not happy at all with his response. He stood on the table and seemed to grow in size. “Now,” he mouthed, foot stomp included. Angry-frustrated pulses filled the space.
“Danny?” asked Jazz.
Damn, he’d completely missed her reply. “Um, sorry Jazz, I got a work message earlier and I’m a bit distracted. Could you repeat that?”
Her eyes narrowed. She was totally onto him. “Something is up with you tonight.”
“Who me?” he rubbed the back of his neck and put on his innocent grin, the one that never worked on her. Flicking his eyes to Robin, he asked, “Why?” hoping that Jazz would take it as directed to her.
She stared at him a moment longer before turning back to Jason and pointedly ignoring Danny. Robin also moved until he was next to Jason, their faces side-by-side.
Then he removed his domino mask to show bright blue eyes, the exact color of Jason’s.
“Well fuck.” No way could he keep silent after that reveal.
The rest of the table fell silent and Bruce looked concerned. “Is everything all right, Danny?” he asked
Robin flew over to Bruce next and held two fingers to either side of his head and wiggled them.
“Well, double fuck.” Danny let his head bang on the table and cursed under his breath in Sumerian.
Dick touched his shoulder. “What’s wrong?” The concern was clear in his voice.
“Danny?” demanded Jazz.
Danny sat up and looked longingly at the remaining food on his plate before pushing away from the table and holding up his PDA and bag. “I’m sorry, I have to excuse myself for a few minutes. An important work thing.”
“Really, Danny? Can’t it wait?” asked Jazz.
“No. It really can’t.”
“Will you at least be quick?” she tried.
Danny sighed. “This’ll probably take ages to sort out in full. But the first part should only take a few minutes.” He looked over the rest of the table and bit his lip. He should tell them something, but where to even begin? And it’s not like Robin, Jason?, whatever, wouldn’t spill the beans as soon as he was able. So he just turned and let the room, Robin right on his heels.
“How far away from Jason, er, from your living self, can you get?” he asked quietly as soon as he felt like they were out of immediate earshot.
Robin flew a few feet down the hall and around corner. They were only just out of sight of the doorway and well within shouting range. In fact, he could still hear the sounds of conversation, even if exact words were difficult to make out.
Robin floated before him, no longer smiling, and held out a hand.
Danny stared at it a moment before grabbing it and pulling Robin into a hug. The ghost felt so insubstantial in his arms, like a wisp of silk or an underinflated balloon. Without thought, he transformed and surrounded Robin more securely in his aura.
“I’m so sorry I didn’t visit sooner,” whispered Danny. “I’m sorry I didn’t know about you until now.”
There was a tug on his core. Robin was trying to take some of his power. Danny pushed as well, giving it willingly. In his arms, Robin grew more solid.
With Robin’s increased corporeality, Danny became aware the boy was shaking. He chirped an I’m here, you’re safe message.
Robin trilled his thanks and nerves.
Before Danny could ask what Robin wanted to do next, they were startled apart by a loud crash and the sound of breaking glass and china and a voice shouting, “What the fuck?”
In the hallway, in perfect view of Danny and Robin, stood Alfred and Duke. A dropped tray and shattered dishes decorated the floor at Alfred’s feet and Duke had barely kept hold of his own tray and was half turned away but squinting at Danny and Robin like they were painful to look at.
Shouted questions and running footsteps echoed from the dining room and then everyone else was there, too.
Danny ignored everyone, focusing on Jazz who was staring at him in pure terror. Before he could assure her it would be all right, she was moving, ducking under arms until she was in front of him.
She fell into a fighting stance and pulled out a fenton staff. With the press of a button, it powered on, glowing like a double-sided light saber in her hands. “If any of you try to turn in my brother or hurt him, I will end you.”

A Mishap
Garreth Weasley x Slytherin! Reader Smut
Summary: Sebastian is always picking fights. Sometimes, revenge on the Sallow boy affects his friends. Ominis knows the woes of it. Now, Y/n got the brunt of this revenge planned by some Gryffindor boys.
MINORS DO NOT INTERACT
Tumblr media
"Like you could, Prewet. I would like to see you try."
"I could, Sallow. Duel me right now!"
Sebastian cast Levioso on the Gryffindor boy as he walked by. He winked at Leander's 'girl' making her giggle.
"Nice try, Leander. Come back more prepared next time."
Leander thumped to the floor. He angrily looked in the direction Sebastian walked. He growled,
"I will definitely win one day, Sallow. Mark my words."
He stood up, dusted himself off, and went to find Garreth. He found him in the restrooms at his 'Secret Caldron'. Everyone knew it was in here. They were just surprised the Professors didn't. He pushed open the stall door,
"Hey, Garreth. I have a favor to ask for."
---------~
It was a couple days after the incident. Leander's plan was going swimmingly. He got Garreth on board to get revenge on Sallow. It was simple. Make a loopy potion, slip it into Sallow's drink at lunch, and after it kicks in, duel him, then, Leander will be victorious.
It was time. Leander will cause the distraction and Garreth will pour it into his cup. Easy right?
Leander approached the Slytherin table and the famous trio. Sebastian scoffed,
"What do you want, Prewet? Another loss?"
"No, Sallow. I came to ask a favor of Y/n."
Sebastian and Ominis raised an eyebrow. Ominis turned to him,
"What do you want with Y/n?"
Said girl looked just as confused as they did. Leander smirked,
"I want to request her help with some dueling practice. I was thinking and the fact she bested you, Sallow, says a lot so, I want to learn from the best."
Sebastian growled,
"You better walk away now. Y/n won't help you."
"Let the girl herself tell me. Well, Y/n? Is what Sallow saying true?"
The girl finally turned like the other two towards him.
Garreth saw his chance, reached across the table, and grabbed what he thought was Sallow's drink. He dumped the little vile of potion into the drink and stirred it quickly before running back to the Gryffindor table.
"Um.. Leander. I actually have to help Poppy with the animals today so, I apologize."
Leander shrugged as he hid is widening smirk,
"It was worth a shot. Have a good day."
He turned and walked away. He finally released the hold on his smirk as he walked over to Garreth. He clasped the other boy's shoulder,
"Good job, Garreth!"
The trio went back to eating. Y/n picked up her cup and thought she smelt something but, ignored it. She took a large drink of her drink. She thought she felt something off about the drink. She just shook her head and went about her lunch. Garreth watched from afar and saw Y/n drink the drink. His eyes widened.
It was actually her drink. He knew he messed up but, he said nothing to Leander. For once he hoped his potions didn't work. He hoped that it was null and Y/n would be okay. He'll stay close by just in case and approach her when she is alone.
-----~
Y/n felt more and more off. She felt her body heating up and her brain felt full. Her face started to hurt red and she started to feel out of breath as she stood in the greenhouse. Professor Garlick saw this and felt the girl's head,
"Oh dear! You are boiling! Um.."
She looked around quickly and spotted someone,
"Garreth! Come here. Quickly!"
Garreth rushed over and saw Y/n's state. He knew what was wrong. It was his potion he made for Sallow.
"Take Y/n to the nurse quickly!"
Garreth nodded. Y/n tried to walk only to wobble forward. He quickly put his arm around her waist and her arm over his shoulders.
"I got her, Professor."
After they walked out of ear shot, Garreth looked over at the Slytherin girl,
"Can you describe what you feel? I may be able to help."
Y/n looked over at him glazed over eyes,
"I feel hot and my brain is full."
"What are your thoughts?"
"A lot. I need these off."
Garreth knew she meant her clothes by her gesture. He looked around quickly and tugged her towards the Gryffindor common room.
"Y/n. I'm taking you to my dorm. I'll help, I promise."
He quickly ushered her to his dorms. Thank Merlin most of the students were in their classes. He got to the stair case that led to the dorm. He tried to walk Y/n up them but, her legs started to shake.
"Hold on, Y/n. Let me just."
He moved his left arm and picked up the dizzy girl bridle-style. She was surprisingly light. Her arms found their way to his neck. She tucked her head into his chest. He looked down at her and chuckled.
They finally made it to his room. He opened the door and closed it behind him. He looked around the cluttered room for a chair. All his chairs have books stacked upon them. He grumbled to himself. He just took the girl to his bed and laid her down. He then walked away to lock his door. He didn't want Leander or anyone for that fact, to see Y/n in this state. It was his fault and he was gonna figure out how to make her better.
Garreth turned to the girl,
"So, let's figure-"
His breath caught in his throat. Y/n was taking off her clothes muttering hot over and over.
"Y/n! What are you doing?!"
Garreth felt his pants tighten. He always had a crush on the girl in his bed. Ever since she helped him with getting a fwooper feather for one of his experiments, he was smitten. He tried to get close to her by going on ingredient retrievals but, any other time, she was busy. It was hard because they are in different houses but, that never hindered him from trying and seeking her out.
He snapped out of his thoughts when her skirt was tossed onto the floor in front of him, followed by her knickers. He quickly looked up at Y/n and rushed to her. He grabbed her hands keeping her from removing her bra. The red-headed boy was face was flushed as he made his eyes only look into hers. No where else.
"Y/n. This is indecent. Stop taking off your clothes."
She looked up at him with hazy hooded eyes and whined,
"But, it's hot. I need it off, Gar. I'm hot."
The nickname went straight to the male's groin. He held back a groan and stared at her before taking a breath,
"What are your thoughts right now, Y/n?"
Y/n moved her head closer to his face and gave him a peck on the lips,
"You, Gar. Help me. Please."
Every once of self-restraint went out of the window. He kissed Y/n deeply. He gently pushed down onto his bed, her hands now being held beside her head by Garreth's larger ones. The girl moaned out and his tongue entered her mouth. He moved in between her exposed thighs.
He finally broke the kiss and moved his hands to her waist. He started to kiss down her neck, nipping and sucking on the flushed skin. Y/n let out whimpers and moans at the sensations, her body overly sensitive because of the potion.
When Garreth got to the fabric of her bra, he looked up at her asking silently for permission. His green eyes filled with love met with her (E/c) lustful ones. She nodded and arched her back so he could unclasp it. He then tossed it aside. He continued his conquest of exploring her body.
He kissed, sucked, nipped, and bit down the girl's body. Her hands tangled and gripped themselves in his thick red hair. She moaned, whimpered, and begged as he explored. Her hands then moved from his hair to his shoulders and she tugged on his clothing. He chuckled in her skin,
"Okay, lovely. I'll take them off for you."
He sat up, leaned back on his knees, and started to unbutton his vest. The girl below him proceeded to squirm and rub her thighs together to relieve the building tension. Garreth paused his unbuttoning and gentle pressed a hand on her stomach,
"Hey. You aren't being a good girl right now, Y/n."
He leaned over and whispered into her ear as he moved his hand to her thighs,
"Be a good girl and open those legs for me or, I stop right now. We don't want that right?"
Y/n answered with a whimper and opened her thighs for him.
"Good girl."
He leaned back and continued to unbutton his shirt. He praised her as he did, watching her pussy clench around nothing. Once he was only in his boxers, his hands moved back to Y/n's craving body. His hands squeezed her inner thighs.
"G-Gar. P-please. I need you."
Garreth chuckled and moved his face closer to her exposed center.
"Patience, Lovely. All in due time."
His hands moved toward her center as his lips met hers once again in a searing kiss. His thumb rubbed over her entrance. Her hips jerked as she moaned into the kiss. He broke the kiss and smirked,
"You're dripping. I bet you can't wait for me to finally enter you."
He rubbed her entrance before inserting a finger into her quivering entrance.
"A-Ah Gar~"
He slid his finger in and out of her as he kissed her breast and sucked on them.
"Enjoying yourself, Lovely?"
He slowly inserted another finger into her as his thumb rubbed her clitoris. She arched off the mattress followed by a moan.
As Garreth played with her, he felt her start to get tighter and tighter around his finger. Well, just as Y/n was about to cum, he pulled out his fingers, sucking off her juices as she whined and looked up at him. He pulled his fingers with a pop. He discarded his boxers finally and Y/n's eyes widened. He smirked at her and stroked his cock. He winked at her and leaned forward, capturing her in a kiss as his tip teased her entrance. Y/n pushed her hips toward him, his tip slipping inside her in the process.
Garreth started to pant feeling her squeeze around him. He gripped her hips as he started to push into her slowly. Y/n hands hand found his back and gripped tightly.
Once he was fully sheathed, they both took a couple breaths. Garreth kissed her gently and rested his forehead on hers. Y/n looked up at him and she gently kissed him. She wiggled her hips and he took the hint and started to thrust into her gently at first and progressively got harder and faster.
"G-Garreth! Ahh~"
"Y/n. FuckK~ You're so fucking tight. What a good girl you are for me."
Y/n moved her hips to meet his as he thrust into her. Her back arched off the bed, her nails digging into his back, leaving red lines in their wake. His hands gripped her hips with a bruising grip as he lost himself in the woes of pleasure. He lost himself in her.
Garreth felt her getting tighter and tighter around him. Y/n's moans and the yells of his name getting louder and louder. He panted into her neck.
"Gar! I'm-I'm-"
Garreth growled and thrusted faster,
"Come for me, Y/n. Come on my cock."
Y/n's back arched as he bit down on her neck. She finally came with a scream over his name,
"Garreth!"
"Good girl."
Garreth thrust a few more times and came as well. He and Y/n just lay there, coming down from there high. The redhead nuzzled his head into her chest and hugged her close. Her hands found purchase in his hair.
The lustful haze finally cleared from her mind. She looked down at the Gryffindor boy. She sighed,
"So, are you going to tell me why you felt so responsible for my condition?"
He looked up at her,
"So, Leander paid me to make a potion to weaken Sebastian so he can finally beat him a a duel. Well, I was supposed to slip the potion into Sebastian's cup and I chose the wrong cup."
Garreth expected Y/n to get mad and leave. He was surprised to hear her start laughing. He looked up at her with a confused look. She calmed down.
"You're okay, Garreth. I'm not mad at you. That's such a pitiful thing Leander tried to pull. I could never be mad at you if I'm honest."
The green-eyed male hugged her tighter,
"I still feel bad that it happened. I don't wish anything bad to happen at my hand. I love you too much."
Y/n's eyes widened and her hand paused its trail through his hair,
"Y-you love me?"
Garreth looked up at her again and smiled,
"Yeah. I do. I have ever since the fwooper feather incident. It's just hard to catch you sometimes because you are busy. I always watched from afar. I admire you and I love your smile. Your laugh makes me happy. I just love you."
Y/n's eyes glazed over with tears,
"I love you too, Gar. I really do."
Garreth looked up at her with his goofy smile,
"Good because I'm not leaving. You love me and I love you. Plus, I did just bed you and I don't do that willy nilly so, your stuck with me."
She laughed and kissed the top of his head,
"I wouldn't have it any other way."
Y/n soon fell asleep. Garreth, reluctantly, got up and cleaned up their mess, making sure to clean up the sticky mess between her thighs. Afterward, he closed the curtains around his bed and cuddled his lovely Slytherin under the covers. He fell asleep with a smile on his face.
BONUS:
Leander grumbled as he made his way to his dorm room. He had a bone to pick with Garreth. The potion didn't work and he ended up losing to Sallow... again. Anger was beyond how he felt. He finally arrived at his dorm room and pulled the handle. It's locked? During midday? That's odd.
After unlocking it with an Alohomora, he walked inside to see the curtains pulled around Garreth's bed. He didn't see the discarded clothing on the floor. Leander angrily stomped over to the boys bed and pulled the curtains,
"Garreth, you fucking dumb-"
He looked to see Garreth cuddling a certain Slytherin girl. He closed the curtain and a smirk crossed his face. He reached into Y/n's skirt pocket and took her wand. He had something to tell Sallow and he had proof that it was happening by having Y/n's wand.
He quickly departed the room and ran to find the Slytherin boy.

Anywho, maybe Bran had just married reader (right after returning to winterfell) . She had been with him and Meera on their journey to and from beyond the walls. So they've pretty much grown up with eachother.
Feel free to change whatever you want, but what if readers had a really bad day and all she wanted to do was hold Bran. So they're in bed and she's just holding him to her chest 😫. Cause he knows she needs the comfort more than her 🫣.
And she's worried for the future, so Bran is just telling her some moments that they will experience. Like together they visit a warmer kingdom for political reasons, but that they are both happy and safe.

Sometimes you hated being the Queen, but you loved Bran, and Bran was the King, so you did your duty as his queen.
It got lonely in the castle sometimes, so you liked to walk through the rebuilt gardens.
Of course, you attended meetings of the utmost importance, but sometimes you just didn't feel like it.
Since the war with the white walkers, you had constantly been paranoid of the future. Always worrying about every little thing.
As you entered your chambers, you took some of the uncomfortable jewelry you were wearing off, slipped off your shoes, and clambered into the silk sheets on your bed.
Podrick entered the room with Bran, wheeling him towards the bed then bowing his head in your direction.
"Your grace."
Once the door was shut, Bran lifted himself onto the bed, then positioned himself so he was laying down.
You swung your leg over him, positioning yourself on top.
"Eager are we?" Bran smirked as he placed his hands on your hips.
Your hand was cupping his cheek as you gently stroked it with your thumb, instantly he knew something was wrong.
"What's the matter sweetheart?" He grabbed your other hand, the one on his cheek still stroking the soft flesh.
"Do I worry too much?" Your glossy eyes travelled to his.
Bran wasn't going to deny it, you did worry too much, but you had a right to.
"Maybe a little too much, but so what?" His hand travelled under the skirt of your dress and he softly caressed the flesh of your thigh.
"I think the council finds it annoying." You paused for a moment, Bran tilted his head. "Can you tell me about our future?"
Bran already knew the majority of your future together, he may or may not have had a little peak.
"Well," He brought your head down to his chest, gently kneading your hair. "Together we shall visit Dorne, for political reasons of course, but we will meet lots of nice people, and they will welcome us warmly." Bran felt you smile against him, making him smile too.
"I've always wanted to go to Dorne." You gently whispered, toying with one of the sleeves of his shirt.
"Maybe we shall have children, I'm not sure of that one yet..."
"Children? Would they have your hair?" You peered up at him delightfully.
"Maybe." He whispered wistfully.
"And your eyes? Maybe they should have my nose though."
"Maybe my dear, we shall have to wait and see."

“Are we sure the plan is solid?” Lance asks. He injects as much whiny brat into his voice as he can, hoping to goad Keith into yet another argument to mask the anxiety.
Keith sees right through him, which is unbelievably annoying. His face softens and he steps closer to Lance, away from the two Blades. “We’ve argued about this for four days now,” he says, grinning. “Thought we finally agreed on things yesterday.”
“I’ve never once agreed with you in my life,” Lance grouches. He’s acting like a fuckin’ tsundere dork in a shounen anime and there’s nothing he can do to stop himself. “Like right now. Your plan is so stupid. Splitting up.” He scoffs. “What a dingus thing to do. We’re Voltron! Our whole spiel is sticking together!”
If anything, Keith’s smile only gets softer, indigo eyes sparkling with amusement.
How dare he. Six months ago he would go insane if Lance so much as breathed wrong in his direction, and now Lance is being intentionally irritating and he’s amused? Horrible. He’s the literal worst. Lance should — do something. Ugh. Something unbelievably annoying, then he’ll see.
“We need to be in three places at once, Lance.”
“Well, then Pidge can get to work on a time machine!”
“No,” Pidge interjects loudly, rolling her eyes at Hunk behind Lance’s back. “Will not be messing with the laws of physics because you want to dick around space, alone, with your boyfr— ow, Allura! What was that for?!”
“Anyways, Lance,” Keith continues, graciously ignoring the red across Lance’s face and the various death glares he’s shooting in Pidge’s direction, “c’mon. You know we’ll be fine. Allura and Coran combined are essentially the Justice League all on their own and you, Pidge, and Hunk are Charlie’s Angels, basically.”
Lance’s mouth twitches. “You’re a huge, massive, ginormous nerd, you know that?”
“Whatever,” Keith says, rolling his eyes, but now his ears are a little red, too. “You get my point.”
“Um, no. Three places, six people, I’m great at math. That’s three teams of two! There’s no reason that you need to bug off on your own. I could —” he bites his lip, trying to keep his voice level — “I could go with you. You know. To make sure you don’t go chasing after Lotor like a cracked out chihuaha that’s been personally wronged.”
He has to physically force himself not to turn around at the sound of muffled sniggering. There is nothing wrong with his suggestions, he’s right and he knows he is —
“Frongolian caves are a three-person job, Sharpshooter. C’mon, you know that.”
“Still,” Lance mutters petulantly.
Keith steps closer, putting a hand on Lance’s bicep and squeezing. He can’t feel it through his armour, but somehow it’s comforting anyway.
“We’ll be fine, Bluebell,” he says quietly. His smile goes sideways, squinting his eyes and showing the barest peek of crooked incisors.
Lance exhales loudly. He squeezes his eyes shut, counting back from ten in his head, and when he opens them again he looks closely at Keith, reminding himself to be rational. Keith is quite possibly the most badass person he knows. He’s grown a little in the last few months; he and Lance are the same height now. He’s wicked fast, and when he’s got a sword in his hand he’s king. He’s unstoppable. And besides that, Lance thinks grudgingly, the Blades aren’t too horrible. They are adequate backup, if Lance forces himself to be nice.
Lance slowly brings his other hand up to rest on top of Keith’s, squeezing gently. Keith immediately pulls their hands away from Lance’s arms and links their fingers together between them. Lance holds on tightly.
“Be safe.” He’s never sounded softer in his life. If you took the gooey sweetness out of is voice and injected it into someone’s bloodstream they’d develop a new kind of diabetes and die immediately, Lance is sure. Jesus.
Keith laughs quietly, shoving his helmet on his head and knocking it carefully against Lance’s head.
“I’ll be safe.”
He squeezes Lance’s hand one more time and then he’s off, jogging off towards his lion and waving for the Blades to follow him. Lance watches long after he turns a hallway, totally out of sight. He squeezes his hands into fists, palms warmed by Keith’s touch. God, he’s so —
The smallest of squeak noises sounds behind him, and Lance whips around just in time to see his best friends in the world totally fucking lose it.
“Fuck off!” Lance says hotly, and it only serves to make them laugh harder. Hunk is collapsed on his knees, gasping for breath, every laugh coming out of his mouth louder and more high pitched. Pidge is barely holding herself up on her hands and knees, pounding her fists on the ground with every inhale. Allura is hunched over, hands on her knees, wheezing herself hoarse.
“You guys are the worst! I hate you!”
Pidge manages to grasp onto some strain of control, heaving herself upright, and Lance makes the foolish mistake of being a little bit hopeful that he still has friends who love him.
She reaches up to Hunk, cupping his cheek, and says in her breathiest, most dramatic voice: “Oh, stay safe, my love!”
Lance screams.
Hunk can barely hold on to his giggles — Allura has only gotten louder — long enough to grab her hand, throwing his arm over his forehead and fluttering his eyelashes. “I shall, my dearest Lance, I shall indeed stay safe so we can meet again and smooch in the moonlight —”
Lance covers his burning face with both hands, screeching at the top of his lungs, which only makes the fuckin’ peanut gallery laugh harder.
“Fuck you guys! All of you! You’re the worst and I hope all of you choke on your own spit and die right this second!”
Lance’s humiliated yelling does absolutely nothing to deter them. They laugh and mock until Lance is about ready to shoot them for real, and then luckily Coran sweeps in — chuckling, because he is also a dirty traitor and Lance hates him too — and chides them into being on task, rounding them up and into their lions.
Hunk and Pidge call him Romeo for the entire mission, and for the next month after. Allura vandalizes the door of his room with a giant pink heart that says ‘Loverboy’ in the middle.
He hates having friends. Seriously. There’s nothing in the universe worse than the fact that he would die for each and every one of those disrespectful assholes.

Summer nights in Florida were sticky.
You’d been there two months and your hair, skin, and mood still hadn’t adjusted.
It’s not like you disliked the state. Quite the opposite in fact. You just craved a good night's sleep in a cool room. And pray as you might, you weren’t holding out hope that tonight would be any better.
The little luxury was the relief that was waiting for you back at your apartment. The second you got home you were going to unzip the hell out of this clingy evening gown.
The suffocating, satin-y dress was gorgeous, but fuck were you excited to get the damned thing off your body and breathe. Plus, one of your fingernails had chipped and now it caught on the material everytime bloody second. It was like nails on a chalkboard to you.
You walked further up the bustling street away from the gala you’d just politely excused yourself from and hunted for a clearer space to order an Uber.
You must have looked a sight. Striding through the street crowded with drunk groups and couples enjoying a nice, albeit late, meal in your floor length dress and high heels.
Finally letting yourself relax against the wall of a busy bar you pulled out your phone ready to call a ride.
Your thought process was interrupted however when a groan and some incoherent mumbling sounded just around the corner. Pausing your movements, you waited to see if the noise came again. It did. And it sounded like… laughter?
This wasn’t your problem, you should ignore it. You were from Queens, you knew well that a lone woman shouldn’t go investigating weird noises around the side of a bar in the city late at night. But yet you found your feet moving before you could stop yourself.
Rounding the corner you found a man, surely around your age, sitting on the ground near a dumpster, a half empty bottle of tequila in his hands.
“Mikaylaaaaaa.” He called in a sing song voice before breaking into laughter again.
Your shoe crunched on a stone below you causing the man’s head to snap in your direction, “Mikay- you’re not Mikayla.”
His eyes narrowed and his finger pointed at you.
You slowly moved closer, still keeping your distance in case you needed to head back into the populated street at lightning speed, “Um no… I’m not Mikayla. Are you, are you okay?”
The man glared at you in silence for a minute longer before taking a big swig of the alcohol in his hand before calling out again, “Mikaylaaaaaa!”
You did a quick 360 turn to see if anyone was about to respond to his call, coming up empty.
“Um,” you began, “are you here with someone?”
He gave a false laugh as he processed your question, “Nope!”
You took a step closer, “What about Mikayla, are you here with her?”
“Ha! Is she looking for me?”
“Um… I don’t know. Maybe?” Getting sense out of a drunk person was damn near impossible.
“Why’re you dressed like that?” The man tilted his head in confusion as he studied your dress.
You looked down at yourself, seemingly forgetting you were currently dressed up to the nines, “Oh, I had a work thing.” Quickly snapping out of the change of subject you looked back at the man on the ground, “Are you here alone? Is there someone to take you home?”
He let out another laugh like it was the funniest thing he’d ever heard before he took another gulp of tequila, deciding it was a great time to try and stand.
Watching with a grimace as he practically hugged the brick wall to drag himself up you wondered if you should help the guy. Once he stood at his full height, which was… quite tall, and started swaying you snapped into action, quickly rushing to his side and grabbing his arm to lower him to the ground once again.
“Okay you just… you just sit tight for a second.”
He obliged with no argument.
“Um… I’ll call you an Uber!” You unlocked your phone and opened the app, “What’s your address?”
His eyes were glazed over and he stared at you like you had four heads, “I don’t know you?”
You sighed and quickly told him your name, “No you don’t know me but I’m trying to help you, dude. What’s your address? Let’s get you home.”
“Mikaylaaaaa!” He called again. Jesus Christ.
Kneeling down next to him, you asked for his phone, “I’ll try call her for you.”
If he wasn’t going to give you his address maybe she could help. His face scrunched up at your offer, “Call her? You can call her?”
“I mean, yeah. If you give me your phone.” Holding out your hand expectantly he finally caved and slapped his phone in your hand.
“Call her.”
Okay, bossy.
Unlocking his phone with a simple swipe you were surprised to learn he didn’t have a passcode.
You managed to navigate to his contacts app and began scrolling, sighing in relief when you came across a ‘Mikayla’.
Tapping the call button you held the phone to your ear only to be met right away with an automated voicemail.
God damn it.
Trying again you got the same automated voice.
Groaning at the situation you sat down next to the drunk no longer caring about getting the expensive dress dirty, “Her phone is off. Is there someone else I can call for you?”
The dramatic groan he let out surprised you, but at this point the, “Mikaylaaaaa!” didn't.
“Okay, dude, seriously. Just give me your address so I can get your drunk ass home.” You’d come this far, and the man was way too far gone to be safely left alone.
When you were met with silence you swore to yourself.
Should’ve stayed at the fucking gala and schmoozed the whole night.
With no other idea to fall back on, you unlocked the phone again and this time searched for his call log. The last call he received was a few hours ago from a ‘Jake S’.
You threw one last look at the drunk next to you and shrugged, fuck it. Tapping the contact the phone rang. And rang. And rang. And wow now you were about to cry in frustration if this person did not answer the-
“The fuck do you want, Coyote?” A tired southern drawl came from the other end.
“His name is Coyote?” What sort of name?
“Who the fuck is this?” The drawl came again, snapping you back into focus.
“Oh right. Sorry. Um. I just came across this guy outside a bar. He’s very drunk. Like, very drunk. And won’t tell me his address to get him home and he can barely stand,” you were rambling now, “and you were the most recent person on his call log so I was hoping you could tell me where this guy lived so I could order him an Uber?”
It was silent on the other end for a beat, you almost wondered if he’d fallen back asleep. The man, Coyote, raised the bottle ready to take mother sip in the corner of your eye distracting you from the phone call, “Hey! No more of that tequila, dude.”
You reached over and snatched the bottle from his hands causing him to whine out in defeat.
A sigh came from the phone.
“Jesus, okay. He won’t be able to get back to his place by himself. Where are you and I’ll come get his sorry ass.” The rustling on the other end must’ve been the man grumpily getting out of bed.
“Oh thank god! We’re outside the bar on the corner of Jackson and Munro, The Thirsty Giant?”
“How the fuck did he end up over there?” He muttered more to himself than to you, “Okay, keep him there I’ll be by in 20.”
“Great! Okay. Thank you. See you soon.”
The guy hummed in agreement and disconnected the call. You let out a sigh of relief and looked to Coyote.
“Someone’s coming for you, drunky.”
“Mikayla?” He looked at you hopeful.
“Uh. Yeah. Sure.” You shrugged.
You relaxed against the rough wall behind you, still holding the bottle of tequila out of Coyote’s reach.
The next 20 minutes must have been the slowest 20 minutes of your life. Between latching on to the man beside you to stop him from running off somewhere, batting his hand away from constantly reaching for the bottle and convincing him that Mikayla would see him tomorrow, you were sure ready for bed.
Coyote’s phone vibrated between you showing Jake S on the screen and somehow he managed to grab it before you, “Mikayla!?”
You rolled your eyes, if you ever met this Mikayla you were gonna have a word.
Coyote whined into the receiver at whatever his friend said and limply tossed the phone in your direction, “S’for you.”
Accepting the phone you held it to your ear, “Hello?”
A sigh of relief came on the other end, “Hey, I’m here. Are you inside?”
“No, we're around the corner, by the dumpster.”
“Okay, hold on.”
“Mhm, holding.”
The sound of crunching gravel to your left caught your attention and you caught sight of a tall, blond man rounding the corner with a phone to his ear. Please be him.
“Thank G-.” Jake’s words were cut off as he disconnected the call.
The blond approached wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt with NAVY across the front. He came to a stop in front of you and stared down with furrowed eyebrows.
“So. I’m Jake.”
You stared up at him, dazed with the late hour and introduced yourself, finally finding the strength to push yourself to your feet.
“I’m Coyote!” Your attention snapped back to the drunk man who had his eyes closed and was quite happily rolling his head from side to side.
“He’s uh, had a lot to drink.” You offered dumbly.
“I see that.” Jake stood with his hands on his hips before jumping into action, “Right, c,mon.”
He leant toward Coyote and grabbed his bicep tugging upward, “Stand up, let’s go.”
“Noooo.” Coyote groaned, dropping his weight completely.
“Get your ass up, Machado.”
Well this was going great. You stood back from the duo and watched the scene unfold. The way Jake was struggling to drag his friend off the ground was almost comical. You didn’t know how much help you would be given the stilettos that currently adorned your feet but figured it was worth a shot.
Moving to grab at Coyote’s other bicep you knelt to try and catch his eye, “We can take you to Mikayla.”
You felt Jake’s questioning gaze on you but ignored it.
“You can?” The drunk man stared at you as you nodded.
“Yup! But you’ve gotta get up and walk for a bit.”
He seemed to ponder the situation in his head for a moment before finally nodding and moving to push himself up with the help of you and Jake.
“Okay,” Jake grunted as he took most of his friend’s weight, “Little more help please Coyote.”
While Coyote had one arm thrown over Jake’s shoulder to lean on, you had taken a firm grip on his other to keep him as steady as possible. Was it actually helping in any way? Probably not.
“How do you know Mikayla?” Jake breathed out as he steered the three of you in the direction of his vehicle.
“Oh I don’t. But Coyote here has been going on about her since I stumbled across his drunk ass.” You explained, he let out a single chuckle in response.
“Yeah that sounds about right.”
“Girlfriend?” You questioned, tilting your head forward to peer across Coyote’s wide frame to catch a glimpse of Jake.
He rolled his eyes, “Ex. Messy breakup, blocked his number.”
Oh, so her phone wasn’t off after all.
“Poor guy’s pretty, uh, cut up about it don’t you think?” You’d spent damn near an hour with this guy, you were allowed to pry a little.
“Yeah,” another grunt from Jake when Coyote tripped and dropped more weight on him, “it’s been a couple weeks. This is the first night I told him I couldn’t go out with him. Guy’s been wearing me out.”
Me too. With his conversation.
How Coyote had managed to keep his mouth shut this entire walk you had no idea.
“Jesus. Sounds like you should lock his door and throw away the key.”
“After tonight, that’s not a dumb idea.” He laughed as he led you towards a black truck, stopping to fish into his pocket for a set of keys, “Could you get the door?”
You jumped into action and opened the passenger door. It was then you realised that you had been supporting exactly none of Coyote’s weight that entire time. Whoops.
“Okay,” Jake grunted as he stepped forward and all but shoved his friend into the truck and wrapped the seatbelt around him, “easy does it, Machado.”
Coyote mumbled something under his breath as his head laid back, so close to sleeping.
You took a step back and swung on the balls of your feet, clapping awkwardly, “Cool so… thanks for coming to get him.”
Jake turned to face you, leaning against the now closed passenger door. He seemed to properly take in your appearance for the first time that night, dress that now housed many small stones that had stuck to the fabric, and heels that would absolutely put him in hospital if you stood on his foot, “How’re you getting home?”
Your eyebrows rose in surprise at the question, “Oh I was just gonna get an Uber or something.”
He kissed his teeth at the suggestion and pondered for a moment before shaking his head, “Mm, no. Not this late, in this part of the city when you’re by yourself,” he nodded to your attire which did a great job of making your assets look well, great, “jump in, I’ll give you a ride.”
“You don’t have to, really. I’m fine.”
“If you think I’m just gonna leave a lady out here by herself, you’re wrong. Let’s go.”
“I don’t know you…” Sure he seemed nice enough but you had literally just met the guy.
“You didn’t know Coyote here either an hour ago and yet you babysat his drunk ass.”
You tipped your head in acknowledgement.
“Come on, there’s all sorts of weirdos out here. I really would not feel okay with leaving you here.” He did raise a good point.
“How do I know you’re not one of those weirdos?”
“Relax, I'm in the Navy.”
Your eyebrow went sky high at that, “That doesn’t bring me the comfort you think it does.”
He laughed at that. Genuinely laughed and shook his head. As luck would have it, just as you were waiting for his retort you heard a couple of catcalls come from behind you. Jake straightened his posture right away, taking a protective step towards you as you turned on instinct to see where the whistles had come from.
Three guys were stood just outside of the bar’s entrance, eyes on you like you were a piece of meat, nudging each other and gesturing toward you.
A warmth spread across your body as Jake gently took hold of your forearm and pulled, eyes keenly staring at the group of guys, “So how about that ride?”
You nodded without hesitation this time, “That would be appreciated. Thank you.”
His hand guided you to the back door, he offered his arm as support as you clambered your way into the back in the truck, heels not making it an easy task. Once you had taken a seat he reached down and tucked the bottom of your dress into the truck as well, ensuring it didn’t get caught in the door as he shut it.
The soft grumblings of Coyote filled the silence as Jake made his way around to his door, hopping in and starting the truck immediately to fill the air with a light heat.
“So where am I taking you?” He pulled out of his parking spot and started down the road when you told him your address.
The ride was silent for a while, bar Coyote in shotgun moaning that you lied to him about Mikayla.
“His name isn’t really Coyote, right?” You questioned, “I’m guessing that’s one of those Navy names?”
He nodded and glanced at you in the rear view mirror, “Real name’s Javy. Coyote’s his callsign.”
You hummed in understanding, “Do you have a callsign?”
“Hangman.”
“…why Hangman?”
He smirked lightly at your curiosity, “That’s classified.”
Rolling your eyes you giggled, knowing it was bullshit.
Taking his turn to question you he eyed your outfit choice in the mirror, “What’s with the fancy get up?”
“I had a gala with work. Lots of important people with money, had to dress to impress and all that fun stuff.” You explained.
He huffed out a laugh, “What a way to end your night huh?”
You smiled out the window, watching the streets pass by, “And to think I would’ve missed it all if I’d just stayed and schmoozed a bit longer.”
“What do you do?”
“I’m a journalist.”
He nodded his head in acknowledgment before replying, “I’m a naval aviator. We both are.” He gestured to the near sleeping man beside him.
“Pilots, huh? How long have you been in Pensacola?”
His face twisted as he mentally worked it out, “Six or so months.”
It wasn’t long until Jake pulled up outside your apartment complex.
“Well,” you started, “this is where I leave you.”
He turned in his seat to face you in the back, “You okay heading up yourself?”
You smiled softly as you undid your seatbelt, “I’m good. Thank you for the ride, good luck with Sleeping Beauty.”
Jake chuckled as you climbed out of the truck, “Okay well, I’ll stay here til’ you get inside at least.”
You rolled your eyes playfully and met his eyes with a smile, “My tax dollars thank you for your service.”
That got another hearty laugh out of him, “Just doin’ my job, darlin’.”
“Goodnight, Jake.”
“Night.” He smiled.
He watched you make your way up the path to the front door, keys swinging off your fingers when you raised the fob to unlock the door.
Holding the door open, you turned and waved at the blond one last time before making your way into the main hallway.
He gave a halfhearted wave in return before finally taking off back to his Navy appointed housing, drunk best friend at his side.
And if he turned up at your door the next morning with a hot chocolate and a pastry under the guise of it being a ‘thank you’ from the man you had babysat the night before (who was now nursing the mother of all hangovers), well… who were you to turn the handsome pilot away?

Hotch knew it was a bad idea to send y/n on an undercover mission to a Project X sized house party among teenagers, but she was the youngest therefore she could blend in the best. y/n indeed blended in perfectly, in fact, she did it too well.
The team knew who the unsub was and they also knew they would be at the party, so they thought it would be an easy and quick mission to finish; y/n goes in, spots the unsub then brings them outside where the team would wait for them.
“Oh God, there are a lot of people here, how will I find them?” y/n asked in a slightly panicked voice, she really didn’t like crowded places and the fact it was crowded with a bunch of horny teenagers, mostly boys, made her feel uneasy.
“Just take a look around, talk to people, it should be easy to spot our unsub.” Hotchner told her softly through her earpiece. He really wished he could be inside with her.
“Okay, I will need a minute, I’ll tell you if I find them.” y/n said and started going around the enormous house, slightly wincing at the blaring music now and then.
“I don’t think i’ve seen you around, are you new in the neighbourhood?” A boy smirked at y/n holding a beer. She smiled at him sweetly.
“Yes, I just moved here recently. One of my friends invited me, actually.” y/n hated small talks; one of the reasons she and Aaron got together later rather than sooner was because she wasn’t willing to make any small talk with the Chief. But in the end it worked out perfectly well for them and she couldn’t be happier about it. She wished she could just spend the night with Hotch, cuddling on their couch, watching some crappy movie on the TV.
“What are you drinking? I’ll bring it to you.” The boy smiled at her, looking at y/n’s body.
“Oh, nothing, but thank you.”
“Come on. You came to a party and you’re not drinking? What are you, 40 or something?” he laughed. Y/n was offended, she wasn’t even 30 yet. “I’ll bring you a surprise drink then, I guess.”
“That’s really not necessary.” y/n tried to protest but then Aaron’s voice caught her attention in her earpiece.
“Drink something. But be careful.” he told her. Anything to blend in.
Many, many drinks (which Hotch didn’t know about) and about an hour later the unsub left the party through the back door, thankfully Emily and Derek were there quickly to arrest them. With that, today’s job was done and they could finally go home, however when Aaron notified y/n about the situation, he didn’t really get the answer he was thinking he would get.
“There’s a bit of a problem I think.” y/n slurred, making Hotch sigh. She didn’t listen to him about consuming just a bit of alcohol, enough to blend in. y/n was drunk, not a little and Aaron knew he had to get inside to take her out of there.
“Are you okay, y/n? I’m going in to get you, where are you exactly?” he asked while making his way into the house.
Answer from y/n about her position wasn’t necessary because as he went into the house, she was in the middle of the room dancing with a lot of drunk and horny teenagers. He looked at his girlfriend then locked eyes with one of the boys next to y/n.
“Yo, who’s that old man there?” he asked the others and y/n head snapped to the direction where Aaron stood, eyes widening.
“Shit. Um, that’s my daddy, I actually sneaked out of the house. I think he’s here to get me and lock me in my bedroom forever.” she slurred laughing at her own lie.
Aaron made his way to y/n and grabbed her hand to take her out to the fresh air.
“Wait no! This is a really good song, can we wait until it ends? Pretty please!” she said, looking at him, praying with her hands. Aaron raised an eyebrow at her.
“Let’s just go outside, you can hear it there perfectly well y/n, come on.”
Aaron realized quickly that y/n being drunk was an understatement. She was wasted. Barely able to stand, let alone walk. He wrapped an arm around her waist and helped her outside.
“Forwarrrrrd, march!” y/n sang along as she in fact tried to march forward, only to fall face forward onto the muddy grass.
“Jesus, y/n!” Hotch tried to pick her up but she just flowed out of his hands like liquid. y/n laughed and after some time she stood up so they could actually start walking out of the party. She tried to dance to the music while walking but she was so intoxicated, it seemed like she had a serious seizure and Aaron couldn’t help but laugh at her girlfriend.
“Go left, go right, go left!” y/n shouted and took a step in the wrong direction, almost falling again but Hotch catched her successfully. It felt like a whole new mission to him. Rescuing Agent y/l/n out of a house party.
“Honey, that’s the wrong direction.” he said softly to her but she just continued to sing along, well it was more like one big slur.
“Hmmm the alcohol is free here, did you know that? This is my new favourite bar!” y/n said excitedly. They were almost out of the gates when she suddenly stopped holding up a finger.
“What? Are you sick?”
“Nooooo, Hotchy Potchy, I’m waiting for my part.” she babbled like a toddler, smiling wide.
“Your part?” Hotch furrowed his brows, having a really hard time understanding his own partner. Before y/n could answer him, she started singing again.
“Weee arrre running to the railroad trackkkk, run alonggg with Captain Jack!” the she abruptly stopped her singing and seemed to be thinking for a minute. Hotch didn’t say anything just waited patiently. “Actually, I haven’t seen Captain Jack in this party, so I don’t really know where i’m supposed to run.”
Aaron just laughed at her face; confusion mixed with a bit of sadness.
“Sweetheart. Let’s just run to the car okay?”
“Is Captain Jack in the car?” she looked at him squinting her eyes.
“Yes, he’s definitely there. Now come on.” he laughed, placing his hand on y/n’s waist, leading her out of the gates but she stopped again. Aaron sighed looking at her.
“Wait. I want a kiss first. I might be able to run faster if you kiss me.” she slurred and he just laughed and kissed her softly.
“What the fuck? You’re a freak! Why are you kissing your own father?” the boy from inside yelled at y/n and everyone else looked at them in disgust. y/n’s eyes widened as she took Aaron’s hand and started running outside to the car. They definitely just killed the party.
When Aaron helped y/n into the passenger seat, she seemed to forget about Captain Jack being in the car. Instead, when he got into the car and sped down the road y/n looked at him, deep in thought.
“Hmmm. It was a really good song, I just don’t know what those few foreign lines mean.” she said and looked out the window. He raised an eyebrow, he knew the song very well and he knew it didn’t have any lines that were not in English.
“Which lines do you mean?” he asked, unable to hide a smile.
“Deedado.” she said simply. Hotch just snorted.
“What?”
“Deedado, badeedado, badeedadeedadeedado. And then it’s half English. She sings badadadeedado, left right right left. I don’t know what it means.” y/n said confused.
“Love, I think you should close your eyes and relax until we get home. Then I'll put you into bed, okay?” Aaron said smiling looking at y/n who was already fighting sleep.
Eventually she fell asleep in the car and Aaron couldn’t wake her up when they got home so he just picked her up and placed her into their bed.

Warm me up

I squint my eyes slightly as I look down at the worn out map, turning it to the side slightly to try and get a better view. “Where next” she asks as the sky gets too dark for me to even be able to see the map properly. “Y/n? Which turn is it” she snaps, as we continue down the road. I roll eyes and lift my hand up to turn the interior car light on. I hum in confusion and I hear Ellie sigh and she shakes her head. “Don’t tell me you got us lost” she mumbles. “I didn’t- I told you not to trust me with the directions” I groan- looking at her with and angry stare. “I didn’t think you were THAT stupid” she mocks and I slump back into my seat.
It felt like I had been in this truck for days- we headed out in the afternoon and we were only supposed to be out for a while, to go look for medical supplies but I had messed up one of the turns so we were now in the middle of nowhere -in the dark. We continue driving and begin to go down a smaller- darker road. “Just turn back” I mumble and Ellie ignores me. “Ellie turn back” I snap and she grips the steering wheel harder. “I can’t- the road road is too small….too small for me to fit” she giggles and I roll my eyes at yet another ‘dirty joke’ she’s said today and she places her hand on my thigh. “Sorry- I’ll try turn up here okay ?” She tells me and I just hum in response. Even though we were friends, that flirted a lot- I wasn’t in the mood to spend any more time with her because she was getting on my nerves.
We get to the the end of the small, dead end road and Ellie begins to turn the car. A concerning noise startles us and Ellie watches in confusion as the lights shut off and the car comes to a halt. “What the fuck” she snaps and tries to turn the key. I peer out into the darkness as she tries a couple more times. “Great” she mumbles, “what did you do” I ask in an annoyed tone and she snaps back “I didn’t do anything”.
She takes off her seatbelt and huffs before opening the door. “Where are you going “ I ask, sitting up. “Gonna check what’s wrong-“ she mutters. “Be careful- there could be infected, it’s too dark to tell if it’s safe” I say with concern. “Are you being….caring” she mocks and I take off my seatbelt too. We both get out of the car and she begins to look for the problem as I cross my arms and scan the dark area. “Any luck” I ask impatiently, as the cold gets too much for my bare arms. “Um, nope”, and I turn around to her. “What do you mean nope?” I snap and she closes the bonnet. “I mean nope- I don’t know what’s wrong? I don’t drive often” she sighs and goes to get her bag from the car.
It was definitely too dark to try walk to another town- and too cold. “So what are we gonna do?” I ask, a shiver runs down my spine. “Get in the car, I’ll look around- find somewhere safe to sleep” she mumbles and I open the car door and get back in. About 10 minutes pass and all I can think about is if she’s alright. I rest my head against the cold window and keep my eyes on the flicker of light I keep seeing, coming from her flashlight. I close my eyes and wake up a couple minutes later to Ellie calling my name.
“Hm?” I groan as I flutter my tired eyes open. “Found somewhere” she smiles and I nod my head. It was a small apartment above an old shop- it was freezing inside. “The bedrooms here- I already made sure that it’s clear” Ellie tells me as she motions towards the open door. I nod my head and follow her into the small room. “One bed?” I ask with my eyebrow raised. “Oh is it not to your liking - sorry princess, I’ll go back out and make sure to find a place with two” she spits and I click my tongue. “It’s fine- thanks” I mutter and walk over to sit on the edge. “Hm?” Ellie asks. Ellie was getting even more on my nerves now- she knew I was stubborn and would always annoy me with it. “I said thanks” I groan and she giggles.
“We should get some sleep- we’ll have to get up early tomorrow and figure out what’s wrong with the truck” she says. I’m still facing the wall- looking into space, when I hear her undressing. Even though we had been friends for a long time I’d never seen her undress in front of me- so I froze. “You should strip” she mutters and I snap my head around to look at her. She’s only wearing her underwear now. “Ellie what the fuck “ I almost shout and she smirks. “What? I can’t sleep in my clothes” she hums and I turn around with my cheeks burning.
I get up and go into the next room to strip. “Close your eyes” I call from outside and I hear her huff. “Come on y/n- just come in” she cries, I start to walk slowly towards the bedroom door. “Close them - or I’ll sleep out here” I tell her and she says a quick ‘fine’. I awkwardly walk in and see that she’s already under the covers. I shuffle over and quickly get in. “Can I open them yet?” She asks and I bite down on my lip. “Sure”.
Her green eyes flutter open and go straight to my bra. “Ellie- you creep” I screech and she just laughs. “Sorry- kinda hard to resist”.
I feel my cheeks start to burn even more and quickly turn over so that my back is facing her- I couldn’t have her teasing me for blushing. “What’s wrong ?” I hear her almost whisper, her hand coming up to rest on my shoulder. “Oh my god y/n, you’re freezing” she gasps and her hand rubs my shoulder. “Yeah it’s pretty cold in here” I mutter and she sits up so she can look down at the side of my face. “Come here- I’ll warm you up”, I let out a shaky breath. I open my mouth to protest but she speaks before me, “I don’t want you freezing to death” . “Let me put my arms around you” she says and my heart skips a beat. I turn to face her and she smiles as I snuggle into her chest.
“Any better?” She asks after a few minutes of silence. I nod my head and my nose brushes off her neck. She flinches away slightly and I move my head to look up at her. “Sorry I didn’t mean to” I say awkwardly. She obviously didn’t like the feeling she got when I accidentally touched her neck. “No- don’t be sorry” she says, coughing a little to clear her throat. I feel embarrassed and try to pull away from her hold. “What are you doing? I like you there” she moans and I swallow hard. “Sorry, I just thought you didn’t because you flinched away” I quietly say. “No - I just like it a little too much” she says shyly and my breathing quickens.
My chest rises and falls quickly as we just stare into each others eyes. I lick my lips slightly and her eyes flicker down to look. Without any hesitation I move my head up so my lips can meet with hers. She moans a little into the kiss and moves her hand to cup my face. I sit up a little more so we can deepen the kiss and she follows. Our breathing gets heavy as our hands begin to explore each other’s bodies with desperation.
She slides her hand down to my bare thigh and rubs it slightly. The need for her is growing and I can’t help but move closer to her so that her thigh is against my needy cunt. I let out a little moan as she moves her thigh up and down. “I need you so bad” she breathes in between our sloppy kisses. All I do is hum in response. Ellie brings her hand up to the waistband of my panties, tugging on them- before pulling them down. She gasps a little as she feels how wet I am, “I’ve only kissed you and you’re already dripping” she mumbles, making me blush from embarrassment.
“It’s cute- don’t be embarrassed” she reassures before gliding her finger up my slit, making me groan. She studies my face before pushing two fingers into me. I let out a pleasure filled shriek as she pushes them even deeper. “You’re so tight” Ellie groans. She begins to slide them in and out, I lean in to give her a kiss but she quickens her pace, making me moan into her soft lips. “That feel good baby ?” She asks- already knowing my answer. Feeling her inside me makes me even wetter and the sound of her fingering me fills the room. I rock my hips faster than the pace she’s going and she notices. “You want me to fuck you faster?” She mutters before slamming them in and out faster. “Mmm fuck- Ellie” I moan as she grazes my g-spot.
Her other hand comes up to hold the side of my hot cheek. “You’re all messy” she sighs, her finger movements getting sloppy because of how wet I am. “Let me clean you up a little?” She asks in a low voice and I respond with a ‘mhm’. She slides down and parts my legs, sliding her arms underneath my thighs so she can grip the skin around my hips. She doesn’t hesitate and buries her face into my pussy. She flattens her tongue and licks long swipes up and down, keeping her eyes on me as she does it. “That feels so good” I groan and she smiles into me. I let my hand fall down so I can grab a handful of her hair, pushing her further into me.
She swirls her tongue around my throbbing clit and sucks every couple of seconds. I grind my hips and she asks me something but I can’t hear properly because I’m experiencing TOO MUCH pleasure. I begin to let out incoherent sentences as she aggressively sucks on me more and more. “I wanna cum” I moan out and she works harder to get me to orgasm. The feeling of her wet tongue gets too much and I feel the pleasure ripple up my body. I scream her name as I orgasm, and she continues to eat me out through it. “Good girl” she says as I shut my eyes from dizziness. I try to steady my breathing as she wipes her mouth and scoots up to lay beside me.
She smiles and lays her hand on my abdomen. “You look cute”, my cheeks flush red again and get all hot. “Thanks for warming me up” I smile.

Yea right.| eddie munson x fem!cheerleader.
summary: eddie never believed someone like you could even find it in your heart to love someone like him, so he puts you down. but he doesn’t know what he says is just confirming what you say to yourself everyday.
warnings: extremely angsty, sh
reader has depression and anxiety and harms herself.
today is the day, i have to do it. i can’t keep hiding my feelings i HAVE to do it.
i did the same old same old like every thursday morning, put on my outfit and went downstairs to enjoy my breakfast. but what happens everyday happens this morning i can’t ever avoid him. my dad.
i walk downstairs excitedly for the first time in days, just for the smile to falter when i see him, stupid piece of shit father of mine, “hello father” i say in the most monotone voice i can.
“oh look at you, still haven’t lost any weight i see.” he says to me “fat ass” he mumbles knowing i can hear him. i ignore him because i will not let him ruin this day for me. i walk past him and grab a couple strawberries from the fridge i try to move around him but brisk his shoulder on accident “watch yourself fat ass, your so fucking fat i can’t even stand here without your huge ass shoulder bumping into me” he tells me
whatever i roll my eyes and just in time i hear a horn from outside thank fuck i tell myself. i walk out the door to steve’s car “hey rob, hey stevie” i say to them like every morning
“hey y/n what’s got you all smiley this morning, your dads truck is still there so it must not be him” steve says to me, how does that boy know everything
“ oh nothing just excited for today you know” i say back but they obviously know something’s up but don’t question it.
we arrive at school me and robin hop out of the car and steve says goodbye we wave back and head our separate directions, i walk over to chrissy and hug her “ oh my gosh y/n you scared the crap out of me” chrissy says giggling. we walk in together and like always everyone is staring, jason comes up and kisses chris on the cheek we part our ways and i head to first period mrs o’donels, english i hate english but i only stay there for one reason eddie munson
the most beautiful boy i have ever seen, i know he probably doesn’t know me but i hope he will today .
skip to lunch bc i’m lazy asf
i walk in the lunchroom and there he is in all his glory eddie laughing it up with the hellfire club, i can’t help but smile a bit myself when i see that big grin on his face. i just keep telling myself i i have to do it and get it over with.
i walk up to him. all of the boys stop talking and look at me. and then i meet his eyes eddie’s eyes
“hi” i say nervously, he looks up at me with i’m assuming is a confused face
“what do you want” he says with a painful tone
“uh- umm- i- i was wondering i-if, maybe yo-y-you wanted to uh-uh”
“spit it out i don’t have all day” he says
“i was just wondering if you maybe- wanted to um hang- hang out sometime— you know- just-uh just you and me- like-like on a date?” i finally get it out and can’t help but look away
he just stares at me a starts to laugh, i can’t help but frown a bit in embarrassment “yea fucking right princess go tell your jackass jocks i’m not falling for their stupid tricks- and you, you i can’t believe you out of all people would have the heart to come over here and embarrass me infront of all my friends like this i thought you were a sweet girl y/n, but i was wrong wasn’t i, it’s obvious now your just a bitch who loves to make others feel bad do you enjoy this huh?” he says standing up now towering over me, i start to back away scared and cowering down with tears in my eyes “ your worthless y/n, your fucking worthless and you thought i would fall for this stupid trick get the fuck out of my face” he says sternly and i now feel the ache in my heart it hurts but i can’t deny it anymore. i walk away shaking and out of the cafeteria and eventually out of the school doors to the woods far away so i can be alone
all those things he said, they were all the same things i said to myself everyday “your worthless” “your a stupid bitch” “he was never gonna like you” “your so fucking stupid!” i yell the last words to myself punching myself in the face and head “your stupid!” another harsh blow to my face “Fucking worthless bitch!” pounding myself in the face with my own fists “so fucking stupid!” “so stupid, so stupid, so fucking stupid” i keep saying until i have no more strength to keep swinging i let my head fall back against the tree gritting my teeth with angry tears running down my now bloody and swollen face fists clenching.
but not knowing what’s happening in the cafeteria right now.
back in the cafeteria
no one’s pov
chrissy and robin just saw that whole thing go down, chris felt terrible because she was the one who told y/n to tell eddie her feelings, her and robin walk up to the now proud of himself eddie
“What the fuck is your problem Munson?!” says chrissy angrily robin walks up shortly behind her putting a hand on chris’s shoulder with the same anger in her eyes
“The fuck are you talking about chrissy, what are you apart of that?” he says with a questioning quirk of his eyebrow
chrissy can’t help herself anymore and slaps eddie right across the cheek. the whole lunchroom goes silent with gasps.
eddie is now holding his cheek looking up at chrissy “the fuck was that for” he says with anger raising up, jason’s already on his way over to the lunch table with his team mates
“ your the fucking idiot munson your god damn oblivious, i can’t believe you just said all that shit to y/n infront of everyone, your the dumb ass, she actually likes you eddie she has forever and is never able to stop gushing about you when she’s around, like ever, i actually told her to tell you about her feelings thinking you would be different eddie, your an asshole eddie munson” chrissy says with heated anger, jason walks up to her and holds her away
“yea man god damn i don’t even like you but the way that girl talked about you was crazy never stopped talking ever that was really fucked up munson” jason surprisingly says, eddie is now in shock he really thought this was all jason’s idea her asking him out eddie the freak munson was being asked out by y/n y/l/n, he thought it was definitely a huge fucked up joke because they knew how much he liked her, he couldn’t believe it the girl he actually liked asked him out and instead of him actually accepting he rejected thinking it was all to good to be true.
“fuck”
y/n’s pov
i just started walking home but can’t help but notice the hideout on my way, i remember all the nights i went there to watch him and his band play staying hidden where he couldn’t see me, i also remembered the change of clothes in my bag so i walk towards the bar and go to the restroom to get changed, i come out and sit at the bar and order a beer they didn’t ask for ID which i’m assuming is because my face is severely fucked up, i couldn’t help myself but get lost in the alcohol beer after beer,
some guy bumps into me and i can’t help but get angry “hey fuck face watch yourself” i say turning back around to the counter to continue sipping on my 6th beer.
“woah pretty princess no need to get so angry what happened to that pretty little face of yours” he says back with a smug grin on his face
“keep standing over here and i can make you look as pretty as me” i say still facing the counter finishing off the beer and asking for something stronger two glasses of their top shelf whisky. i down them both and the guy just stares at me and walks away, i order even more but just before i can lift up my glass a hand stops it,
“no more y/l/n your done, and for you i should have you arrested for serving underaged adults” i look up and see hopper my uncle, he lifts me up but even with all my protesting he gets me out of the bar, some how it’s dark out now. “let’s go surprisingly enough to me your father is actually worried about you, so i need to get you home, not only did you go missing from school today you also are all beat up and drunk out of your head, so your going to tell me what happened or i’m going to lock you up in a cell for the night- and don’t say i won’t because you know i will.” he’s right i know he will he’s done it before.
“it’s nothing hop” i say as he places me in the passenger seat but he knows there’s obviously something wrong, he decides not to push it just yet and luckily enough he doesn’t take me home to my dad, he takes me to his and joyce’s place.
we get there and i see steve’s are parked out side, hop takes me out of the car and opens the front door all i hear is a bunch of people gasp and bombard hopper with questions “i don’t know but she will be fine leave her i’m putting her to bed” with that voice i’m assuming he doesn’t want to talk about it either, he walks me to the guest bedroom and tucks me in “ i know that didn’t happen from someone else-“ he says gesturing to my face “- your too tough to let that happen, i know you did it to your self, i’m not happy about it but i want you to get some sleep and rest it out till the morning, then we can talk, and you know joyce is probably going to be in here any second now with a bag of frozen peas, but what i’m trying to say is just don’t worry yourself about your dad and all that other stuff, i’m here now and i’ll keep you safe till you feel better ok, i don’t want you worrying about your dad i’ve got that all taken care of, goodnight kid, i love ya” he says and kisses my head and leaves just like he said joyce comes running in seconds later with a bag of frozen peas wrapped in a rag littering me with all the ‘i love you’s and other stuff but eventually i drift off
i wake up with a killer headache and and warm hand on mine and hearing sniffing, i try not to make any sudden movements to try and figure out who if is without them knowing i’m awake
“i’m so sorry y/n/n, i shouldn’t have said all that shit, i’m sorry, i’m so so sorry” i know who it is but i’m afraid to look him in the eyes just yet, he keeps muttering apologies. but i give his hand a gentle squeeze, he gasps a bit and take my hand in both of his now, i slowly look up at him, i see his teary red eyes and a face full of regret, “y/n?” he says with a wobbly voice i give him my full attention now,
“it’s ok eddie, i forgive you” i say grasping his hand a little tighter now.
“no, no, no don’t say it’s ok y/n it’s not ok what i said, it’s not ok at all and this is not an excuse i just- i’ve been fucked with so much i don’t even know who to trust anymore, god i’m so stupid”
“no-no,no your not stupid ed your kind, brilliant and smart, you were just afraid to be hurt again, i understand, i really do” i say with a genuine light smile
“i just- i don’t even know what to say anymore” he says looking down
“ you could tell me if you want to go on that date with me?” i say with a grin and a little chuckle when he looks at me with a sad grin
he chuckles a bit “of course i would love to go on that date with you y/n, i’ll do whatever you want” he says looking deep into my eyes
“don’t say that or you’ll be in it for life munson” i say laughing
“maybe i want to be in it for life y/l/n” he says.

Tall ass mushroom
[A/n:I just randomly thought of this]
Your bold Tanaka is bold and slanted
Summary:unlike most people in mushroom kingdom, you very tall, like super tall, taller than bowser and he's 7'1 but you are a mushroom person. So one day while bowser is at the mushroom kingdom castle peach tells him there's something wrong, and that thing is you, also toad is your brother
⚠️warning:⚠️ pick up line that might be cringe, angry toad
Type:scenario:Bowser x male reader
~
Bowser was heading to mushroom kingdom. He needed to talk to peach and she needed to talk to him, so win win. Bowser Jr was at home, hopefully still asleep. Bowser was hoping he could get home before Jr woke up but that make not be the case. When he got there toad was waiting for him.
"Ah, Bowser you made it. Come quick"
Toad grapped bowers hand and pulled him to the castle. They passed a shocked mario, and bowser just laughed at him. Mocking Mario for like 20 years is just hilarious to bowser. When Toad and Bowser got to the castle everything seemed alright, but when they got inside peach was pacing, clearly in distress. She looked over hearing the door open and let out a sign of relief.
"Thank God your here, we have a-"
Peach looked over something before looking back at Bowser
"Big? Problem"
Bowser looked st toad who looked disappointed.
"He's not a problem, I swear"
Toad whispered to Bowser. Peach motioned for bowser to follow her. When peach stopped and pointed towards someone, it was a mushroom and a short man with green hair.
"The short guy?"
"No that's just Drew"
"He's the real problem here"
Bowser looked behind him, he seen a short man with yellow hair which confused him.
"Tanaka!"
The yellow haired man just shrugged and walked away.
"Ignore him, but it's the mushroom"
Bowser looked at the mushroom, trying to figure out if he's just super tall or the green haired man is just short. It was both.
"What's wrong with him?"
"He's, um, I don't want to say abnormal, but he is abnormally tall, and well big"
Bowser looked back at the tall mushroom and was debating whether or not to leave.
"And you want me to do what?"
Peach was quiet. And no Bowser didn't leave but he also didn't look away form Peach.
"Go talk to him, go, go!"
Peach pushed Bowser towards you. Even though Bowser didn't know what to say or do he went anyways. When he got up to you he looked at the green haired man who was having a stare down with the mushroom in front of him. Bowser just looked up at the mushroom and froze, how could a mushroom be so tall.
"Hey, quick question"
You looked down at Bowser a little embarrassed by your height.
"Me?"
Bowser nodded with a smirk.
"Sure?"
"Aside from being sexy and tall what do you do for a living?"
"Uh"
It was so unexpected, you blushed. While the green haired man laughed Toad basically had steam coming out of his ears.
"Oh? SO THATS HOW IT IS"
"Huh?"
Bowser looked down at an angry Toad.
"THATS MY BROTHER YOU-"
Before Toad could finish the green haired man picked him up and carried him away still laughing.
"Eheh, sorry about that, um was your question the only reason you came over here?"
Bowser looked at Peach than back at you.
"No, peach pushed me over here thinking I knew why you were so tall"
"I CAN HEAR YOU"
Peach shouted from across the hall. You laughed and bowser chuckled.
"Who knows but I have to check up on toad, uh yeah bye Bowser"
You waved goodbye as you walked away in the direction the green haired boy took you. Bowser smiled, kinda liking you. Peach was giving him the stink eye though.
"What?"
Peach just huffed.
"I'll tell you later, for now I have to make sure Drew is still alive oh what am I saying he's probably fine"
And peach started to walk away. Bowser jeut shrugged and walked home completely forgetting that bowser Jr was asleep the whole time.

Hannah my bad b- I ment the moon knight boiss. Slipped my mind that you don't do anything about Oscar Isaac. Okay so Marc taking his shirt off and reader walks in and goes feral. I'm talking Reader is a blushing mess and just want to admir her man, but Marc is teasing her. Ye thank you. *mic drop*
Haha, it's all good!! I was lowkey gonna write it anyways because this is such a good ask, but I'll happily do it for my baby Marc 🥺💕
The air-conditioning just had to break during the hottest day of the year. The landlord told you and Marc that he didn't know when they would be able to fix it, but that they were working on it as he spoke.
Marc went out and bought a fan, but it just wasn't enough. He was trying to look over an ancient map of Luxor, Egypt for a mission, but all he could think about was the giant heat waves that would wash over him every 20 seconds. He couldn't stand it. He grabbed the edge of his shirt and ripped it off, tossing it in the general direction of the bedroom.
Sadly, this made little to no change of his body's temperature. So, he tried his best to just ignore it and focus on his mission.
You came home from the store with bags of ice, ice cream, popsicles; anything that would cool you and Marc off for even a minute. But when you walked into the flat and saw your husband towering over the table, shirtless and dripping sweat, you dropped the grocery bags and your jaw.
Marc jumped at the loud noise of the crashing groceries, quickly turning around to see what happened. "Y/n? What's wrong?"
"Oh! Shit, um, nothing." You mumbled, dropping to your knees to pick up the frozen foods. You tried your best to keep your eyes on the floor, not wanting Marc to see the way your face was tingling from how red it was. Once you gathered everything up, you rushed over to the kitchen to put the food away, avoiding eye contact with Marc as you rushed by.
You set the bags on the counter and took a deep, calming breath. This was stupid. You've been seeing each other for what? Two years now? You've seen him naked a million times before. Seeing him shirtless should not have this effect on you anymore. But when you turned around, you were met by Marc, who was standing directly behind you with his arms crossed, his brows knitted in concern.
"Marc-" You gasped, your eyes growing wide as your cheeks burned an impossibly darker shade of crimson.
"Are you okay?" Marc asked, reaching over to press the back of his hand to your forehead. "I know it's hot in here, but you look like you're about to pass out or something. I haven't seen you this red since-" And then it hit him. You could tell he knew by the way his lips turned up into a shit eating grin. "Oh." He whispered, reaching out to grab your hips, pressing you against himself. "You wanna tell me what's got you all worked up, baby?"
You shook your head, your eyes desperately glancing around the room to focus on something else. Anything else. But Marc gripped your chin with his thumb and pointer finger, making you look at him.
"Oh, come on, baby. Tell me what's got you blushing like this." He dipped his head down to your neck and nipped at the soft skin, gently tracing the irritated spot with the tip of his tongue.
"Fuck, Marc," You moaned, wrapping your arms around his neck.
"If you're not gonna tell me.." Marc unwrapped your arms and took a step back, his grin growing wider when your eyes continuously glanced down to his torso and then back to his eyes. He turned around and walked back into the living room, leaving you to wrap your had around what the hell just happened.
"Marc Spector!" You yelled, running after him. You refused to let him tease you like that. And Marc knew that he would have to finish what he started. You both hated the heat, but hey, it had it's benefits.

❝ i’m not going anywhere ❞ ; kyojuro rengoku.
Tumblr media
♤ contains: this happens after mugen train so um yk,, spoilers for that + this is also an au btw since i reject how that arc ended
♤ note: apologies in advance if i get some details wrong like where kyo’s injuries (we will ignore how akaza punched him that never existed okay) are etc. // unedited.
Tumblr media
“even if you’re not hungry, i think it’s best to eat even if it’s just a little bit.” you say, fidgeting with your fingers as you sat with your hands on your lap as you were on the floor behind the fusuma. “especially because you skipped dinner yesterday, father.”
“you know i hold you in high regard.” your father-in-law said as he put the bottle of sake down beside him. “and i always listen to whatever it is you have to say. i just don’t think this is something i can promise you.”
“if you say so, father.” you reply, as you stand up and gave a small bow. “i won’t force you to finish it, but please have at least a few bites.”
shinjuro said nothing as he heard your footsteps disappear after the door slid closed.
maybe i’ll eat just a little bit. he thought as he sighed and walked over to the small food tray. he was after all starting to get a little dizzy (-er than what he’d prefer) from all the alcohol.
as much as he hated to admit it, you were right. he hasn’t been eating well these past few days, and the extra intake of alcohol was starting to take it’s toll on him.
not that he’d ever openly admit that though.
back with you, your eyes were glued to the ground as you walked away from your father-in-law's room. you had been successful last time in trying to get him to take care of his body by eating the bare minimum at least, but you weren't so sure you'd succeed this time.
shinjuro rengoku was stubborn as a hashira and he was even more stubborn now as he retired. he only got worse after his wife passed away years ago, and you self theorized that the only reason he probably sometimes listens to you is because you were recommended by ruka to be their eldest son's betrothed.
your family and her's were friends for a long time, so an agreement was made decades before regarding this.
it worked out to be quite well in both of your favours. you and kyojuro loved each other’s company when you both met for the first time, and it just escalated from there, so the marriage went by smoothly.
you heard footsteps running towards your direction, and that made you pause. curious… who would be running at this time of the day inside? they sounded to be in a panic as well.
speak of the devil, you saw your younger brother-in-law, senjuro, turn the corner and stop just in front if you.
“onee-chan!” he said, panting.
you put your hand on his shoulder and smiled at him, “breathe, senjuro. what’s the matter?”
you were not prepared to hear what he had to say.
Tumblr media
you panted as you reached the large estate you’ve only really heard of from your husband. it belongs to the insect pillar, if you remembered correctly. a small part of you felt guilty for leaving senjuro with his father, but his words weighed heavily in your mind and you promised you’d give him an update on his brother’s condition.
you stood there for a while to try to collect and fix yourself. it was just a while ago that you were going about your day like any other when that crow arrived to tell senjuro the news, and then he went to search for you and his father. he found you first, then he told you what the crow told him.
that kyojuro was severely injured during a mission and is not resting and being nursed back to health in the butterfly mansion.
“senjuro, tell your father of the news and tell him i’m heading there right now!” it all happened so fast. you remember saying that as you changed into outerwear and bolted out the door to run to the mansion, which wasn’t actually that far, and now here you were.
it’s okay, y/n. breathe. you reassured yourself, as you began to walk towards the property.
as you passed by the gates (which were open), you found a little girl who had twin braids. she wore all white, and when she turned around, she let out a small squeak when she saw you.
“hello, i'm sorry to intrude." you say, giving a small now as a bow. "but my household received news that my husband was injured during a mission and is healing here."
"y/n rengoku?"
you both turned to look at who spoke. it was a girl who wore a uniform you knew all too well. she was a hashira. she didn't seem familiar, but then again, you never had the luxury of meeting the other pillars formally. only seeing them from afar when you were invited to the ubayashiki estate once before to be introduced to the head of the family as kyojuro’s wife.
you gave a small bow as a confirmation.
Tumblr media
you later learned that the lady who called out to you was shinobu kocho, the insect pillar, and the one who owned the estate and was mainly in charge of healing the injured who were sent to this estate.
how she knew you, you no longer asked. you assumed maybe kyojuro had mentioned you once or twice or so to her, but the walk to the room from outside was a quiet one. you conversed with her for a while about why you were here when you confirmed that you were who she asked you were.
"he's in here." shinobu said as she motioned to the door in front of the both of you. she walked to the side to give you access, "he woke up earlier, but i told him to keep resting so he should be inside."
"thank you, miss kocho." you thanked with a small bow as you reached for the door
he's awake? he's inside. he's okay, he's fine.
and then, you opened it.
“kyo…” your eyes watered as you saw him sitting up on the bed, back facing away from you. when he heard your voice, he turned around and you saw his shirt gone, as your eyes saw the bandages that were wrapped around his chest and face.
“y/n-” he barely had time to react as you ran over to him and wrapped your arms around him. you squeezed but not so hard, as you were wary of the condition he was in.
“you’re back.” you said, feeling the tears stream down your face and onto his hair and his bandages as he wrapped his arms around you as well. “you’re back…”
kyojuro said nothing as he squeezed on your waist, making you sit on him more than you already were. god, he thought he’d never see you again.
you freed yourself from his grasp, not wanting to put any weight on him, so instead you sat down on the bed and you cup his face with your hands to inspect the bandage over his right eye.
you didn’t know the details of his mission nor what happened to him, and you didn’t want to ask. all that mattered to you was that he was here, safe and sound, alive and… well, getting well.
“you stupid…” you caressed his cheek as you inspect more of his face to see if he had any other injury you didn’t know about.
shinobu, who was standing by the door, watched with her mouth slightly parted at the sight. she had only heard of you from whenever rengoku talked about you, and when he mentioned your maiden name, shinobu knew you were from a well family, and being the wife of a hashira, only made expectations of you even higher than before. despite the warm image rengoku had made whilst talking about you, she knew you were a very calm and collected woman judging from how you were earlier when she welcomed and showed you in. but she also saw how soft and how quickly your walls broke down when it concerned your husband.
shinobu smiled. rengoku truly has found someone who loves him dearly. she turned on her heel and walked away, to give you two some privacy.
“kyo…” you said as you silently sobbed. you were scared. so so scared. all you knew from senjuro was that it had something to do with an upper moon, and with the limited knowledge you had with demons and their hierarchy that kyo used to tell you before, you knew his opponent was dangerously strong, and it was a miracle he managed to live.
kyojuro held your cheek as he wiped away a tear. “i’m here, y/n. i’m here.” he hugged you and patted your head in a comforting manner.
“i was so scared...”
“i know, i know.” he said softly. “it’s okay, y/n. i’m here, and i’m not going anywhere.”
Tumblr media

Drake cracked an eye open to find Leo staring at him. He gave him a sleepy smile, “How do you feel this morning?”
“Not gonna lie my asshole’s a little sore,” Leo was only half joking.
Drake’s phone dinged and he rolled over and picked it up, “Liam says he ordered a late breakfast in the informal dining room.”
“Yes, brunch!” Leo checked  his own phone, “Wait, why is my own brother texting you about food and not me?”
“Best friend perk!” Drake laughed.
“That’s uncool,” Leo said as his phone pinged.
“Is it Liam?” Drake asked.
“Yeah,” Leo grumbled, “Five minutes after he texted you! Fucker.”
Drake pulled the phone out of Leo’s hand as he was texting back, “I told him we’d be late.”
“Hey! I was in the middle of-“
Drake tossed the phone in the general direction of the nightstand as his teeth scraped down the side of Leo’s neck, “Morning sex?”
“Oh…ah…as much as I’d like to say yes, I’m not sure my ass is ready for that again…”
“Uh huh,” Drake agreed, nipping Leo’s earlobe as his hand found Leo’s very much ready for that again cock, “We don’t have to do that, we can do this…”
Leo’s head fell back with a moan as Drake’s hand gripped him under the covers, “Who needs food?”
Forty-five minutes later a freshly showered Leo and Drake made their appearance in the dining room where Riley and Hana were sitting at the table talking and laughing with Olivia, Savannah, Max, and Liam.
“Oh, you’re still here,” Drake said in surprise.
Leo’s eyes tracked down her body taking in the too-big sweatpants and t-shirt that were definitely Liam’s. “Um…what happened last night?”
“Shouldn’t I be asking you that?” She arched an eyebrow as she took a bite of the biscuit in her hand.
“Oh, ah, we…” Drake’s eye’s darted to Leo then back to Riley as he took a seat, “Sorry about that.”
“Wait,” Olivia said with interest, “What happened last night?”
“We don’t have to discuss-“ Leo started.
Riley interrupted him, “Oh, these two bozos fought over me all night at the club, as you all witnessed….”
Everyone nodded.
“Then when we got back to their bedroom-“
“It’s not our bedroom!” Drake protested.
“Whatever,” She rolled her eyes, “We get to someone’s bedroom and they were all over each other, which I was into, don’t get me wrong, but then they just kind of forgot I was there!”
“No!” Savannah gasped in shock, “My brother ignored a hot girl? Oh my god! Oh my god!” She hit Maxwell in the shoulder, “Did you hear that? Olivia was right!”
“About what?” Drake demanded.
“That you loooooove each other!” Max sing songed as he reached across the table for more bacon.
“Why are you even here?” Drake asked him disdainfully.
“Yeah, you know you don’t actually live here, right?” Leo added.
Max was unperturbed, “I might as well! ‘Vannah and I have been best friends since we were seven and you all love me. Besides, Ramsford is a four-hour drive and I’m hungover!”
“I have a helicopter I could lend you,” Leo said pointedly.
“That feels like a misuse of government funds…” Liam was sure Constantine would disapprove.
“Don’t be salty because Liv was right,” Max waved a slice of bacon in Leo’s direction.
“I am never wrong,” Olivia intoned drily, “Why are you fuckers all surprised?”
“I’m not surprised,” Hana purred at her.
“Yep,” Riley agreed, “You two are obviously in love!”
“No, we’re not-“ Leo stammered.
“We’re just friends!” Drake insisted.
“Friends with benefits?” Hana asked.
“Yes!” They both agreed.
Riley snorted.
Drake turned to her and demanded, “What?”
“If you’re friends and it was just about sex, then last night would have gone much differently,” Riley said matter of factly, “If you’re denying that you have feelings for each other, then you’re either both liars or you both have an astounding lack of self-awareness. I can clearly see it, and I just met you!”
“She’s not wrong,” Max said.
“Go home!” Leo told him.
“Fuck no!” Max shook his head vigorously, “My new sister-in-law just moved in,” he added with a shudder.
“Yeah, ease up on him, Leo,” Drake said, “Who the hell, other than Bertrand, could stand to be in the same house as Madeleine?”
“Love is making you soft, Drake,” Liam snickered.
“So, Leo,” Olivia blew on her coffee as she asked, “Are you a top or a bottom?”
Drake spit out a mouthful of eggs as he choked with laughter, “He’s a-“
“Don’t you dare!” Leo smacked him on the back of the head.
“Inquiring minds want to know, Leo,” Savannah giggled.
“Mind your business, the lot of you!” Leo told them before turning his attention back to Riley ready to deflect the conversation, “Enough about us! Let’s talk about you and Liam!“
She paused with the next bite of biscuit halfway to her mouth, “What about me and Liam?”
“I mean…you’re in his clothes…did you two…. You know?”
“No!” They both yelled.
“It was a legitimate question, Li,” Drake defended Leo, “She obviously spent the night and she is wearing your clothes.”
“Not that it’s any of your business,” Liam scowled at them, “But I found her wandering the halls as I was on my way to the kitchens for a three a.m. snack.”
“Yes,” Riley affirmed, “I was turned around and headed the wrong way. Liam invited me to the kitchens with him, because he’s a gentleman, unlike some people at this table.”
“I wasn’t going to send her home at three in the morning after what you two did to her,” Liam huffed, “So I invited her to spend the night, in a guest room!”
“Well…” Riley smiled at him, “You did offer the guest room, but I never ended up in it.”
“Wait, what?” Leo looked back and forth between them, “But you said-“
“We ended up playing video games and then fell asleep on his bed watching Pulp Fiction,” Riley smiled at the memory.
“Yeah,” Liam added, “Turns out she’s a badass at Mortal Kombat!”
Drake fixed him with a skeptical look, “You played Animal Crossing, didn’t you?”
“We played both, shut up,” Riley tossed half a biscuit at him.
As everyone continued to eat and talk, Riley leaned over to Liam and whispered, “If I’d met you at the club last night, you know, before we were all leaving, I’d never have talked to either one of those idiots. You’re far more interesting!”
Liam colored slightly as he rewarded her with a smile, “I sincerely regret my choice to focus on darts last night.”
Across the table, Max was regretting that choice as well, “I’m just saying, ‘Vannah, I didn’t like that guy and I don’t think he’s right for you!”
“You met him for all of two minutes, Max! Seriously, what is your issue?”
Olivia leaned over and whispered something to Savannah. Her eyes widened as they snapped up to Max. She turned to look at Olivia and shook her head, “No!”
Olivia nodded back, “Yes!”
“What?” Max demanded, “What?”
Savannah gave him a measuring look, “If I said I wanted to go see a movie tonight, would you take me to go see it or should I call Evan?”
Several shades of red crossed his face as Max looked down at his plate, “I’ll take you…if that’s what you want. Do you….want me to take you?”
“Yes!” Savannah tried to repress her glee.
Finally!
Savannah Walker had been waiting for Maxwell Beaumont to notice her like that since they were twelve.
As Max and Savannah danced around the issue of their feelings for each other, Hana directed a question at Drake, “Olivia tells me you’re going to school in the states.”
“That’s right. I have one year of undergrad left. I go back in a few days,” Drake’s eyes met Leo’s across the table as they both registered that fact.
They had wasted the first half of the summer snarking and sniping at each other then they’d spent three weeks hiding in corners and linen closets jerking each other off and pretending like they hadn’t. Ever since the pool house encounter had happened two weeks earlier, they each had been on their knees frequently in front of the other, but they had continued to pretend it meant nothing more than Drake helping Leo explore his newfound sexuality.
After last night, it had become impossible to continue that deception. Things had gone too far.
“Oooooh, a long-distance relationship!” Hana smiled then shook her head, “I could never do that! I require too much attention!”
“I have an ample amount of attention available,” Olivia smirked.
Hana blushed but a satisfied smile crawled across her face, “Well isn’t that convenient?”
“It is,” Olivia laughed softly.
“So are you two a couple now?” Riley pointed her fork at Hana and then Olivia.
“Riley! We just met last night!” Hana protested.
Riley shrugged as she reached for her orange juice, “I’ve seen you move faster.”
“Liv too,” Leo agreed, happy to turn the focus on someone else.
“Oh, is this the part where you make fun of the stereotype of lesbians moving in with each other after the first date?” Oliva huffed.
“You haven’t even had a first date yet, technically,” Savannah pointed out.
“We’re going out tonight,” Olivia responded.
“And moving in together next weekend?” Leo joked.
“Fuck you,” Olivia gave him a condescending smile, “At least we know what we want when we find it and go after it. You know, as opposed to having your head so far up your ass that you could spend an entire summer fucking someone while pretending that you hate them.”
Leo rolled his eyes, “What I don’t do is get attached just because I had sex with someone one damn time! I mean, how has that strategy worked out for you?”
Neither Leo nor Olivia was actually mad, they always interacted with bluntness and harsh truth-telling. They were both tell it like it is people and appreciated that in others. It was one of the things that made them best friends.
The sniping back and forth continued as Drake watched the exchange with a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach.
Long distance was hard. Leo did act like he hated him. Leo didn’t catch feelings….ever! Drake tried to remember the last time Leo had a real crush or any type of feelings that went beyond the physical for anyone. When he was thirteen maybe?
Shit.
What had he been thinking?
“You know what?” Drake pushed away from the table, “Speaking of going back to school…. I should go start packing.”
“Oh! Need some help?” Leo jumped up as well, “I’ll come with you!”
“Don’t bother,” Drake told him over his shoulder as he exited the dining room, “I don’t need help packing. I’m not a child.”
Leo followed Drake back to his room, confused by the sudden chill in his attitude, “Maybe we could video chat after you go back…I can come visit and we can make plans for-“
“Don’t make promises we both know you won’t keep,” Drake interrupted him.
The idea that Leo Rys would ever be anything but an unapologetic fuckboy was laughable. He may have spent the summer discovering that he was into guys, but all that meant was that he had just opened up even more potential partners.
Leo tried again, “No, I’m just saying-“
“It’s fine. We both knew we were just messing around until summer was over. We don’t owe each other anything.” Drake said as they reached the door to his room.
“Drake, come on! Can we at least talk about-“
“Go away, Leo. Last night was a mistake,” Drake said as he stepped over the threshold and slammed the door shut.
Right, Leo silently cursed himself. Of course Drake wanted to leave his options open once he was back at school. Drake Walker wasn’t known for being keen on commitment. He was a perpetual party boy.
The last few weeks had opened up a whole new world of both physical experiences and depths of feelings for Leo that he hadn’t known he was capable of.
Of course, it didn’t mean the same to Drake, who had come out as bisexual when he was seventeen. Unlike Leo, Drake had been with plenty of men, not just women. This had been just another meaningless fling for him.
Leo should never have thought it was anything more. Drake had never given him any indication that it was. He should never have let his feelings get involved.
He turned on his heel with a dejected sigh and made his way back to his room.

A continuation of my earlier "Gina deserves better than Ricky has given her" frustration.
In a TV Guide interview, Sofia Wylie said something about how you need to be "attentive and intentional" with your partner everyday, and that's "the bare minimum." That now she's with someone who will give her "the time of day she deserves and desires."
Um, not according to the show we've all been watching.
EJ gave her those things until the overwhelming stress of the impossible situation camp put him in sent him into a tailspin. Did she deserve more from him even in those circumstances? Yes. Did he deserve way more compassion from her about why he didn't? Yes. Is Gina right to worry that ten days was just the beginning when their lives were headed in different directions? Yes. Was she wrong for not seeing those 10 days through the prism of what EJ was dealing with? Yes. And all those things are understandable in a first relationship.
But if those are the reasons it didn't work with EJ, I have no idea why Gina would think Ricky is going to be that guy for her.
She has been the one to initiate nearly everything between them. She went to the skatepark. She asked him to take her home from the dance. She asked to hear his acoustic version of WTWMAY. She went to his house on Thanksgiving. She found him in the hallway during HSM. She confessed after the show and got nothing in return other than "OK." She went to him on Valentine's Day. She gave him advice about Nini MULTIPLE times. She's the one who asked to start over at camp, essentially letting him off the hook for how badly she was hurting.
Was he there for her in S3 in more ways? Yes. They had fun in the woods. He encouraged her at Color War and talked to her when she was upset about EJ (though the show also made THAT about Ricky and him "not being able to say what you feel"). He helped her set up the promposal. All steps in the right direction. But only sustained for ten days. Like... if the months of time and attention EJ paid weren't enough in the face of these out of control ten days, why are we ignoring that Ricky retreated from her for MONTHS and doesn't need to answer for that the way EJ does 10 days? Why is 10 days enough to break EJ but build up Ricky?
And then he lied about the hot mic moment, and didn't tell her for a month despite knowing it will probably show up in the documentary in front of everyone.
And it ends with Gina having to spell it out for Ricky... again. Because the guy who's DEFINITELY going to give her "attention and intention" can't even give her that.
Love doesn't always make sense, we crush on people who aren't good for us and have chemistry with people it will never actually work out with. I don't have a problem with Gina still having feelings for Ricky despite all that.
But I DO have a problem with making Ricky RIGHT NOW seem like the guy who's going to give her what she needs long term. He hasn't earned that. He NEEDS to earn it. Gina deserves for him to earn it.
I hope he does. I want Gina to be happy.
But he's got a LOT of work to do.
