— aether holds you close, rubbing his cheek against yours in efforts of slowing your anxiety-ridden breaths down — he won't lie, he's pretty anxious for you as well; but he knows he has to keep his composure so as to not freak you out even more — whispers sweet, calming words into your ears and will tell you that everything is going to be okay

[albedo]

— given that he's not an actual human, albedo does a pretty good job of calming you down — brings you your favourite hot drink (with the right amount of milk/sugar that you love) plus a blanket so that you can curl up in his lap while he calms you down :3 — stays by your side the entire time while you cry :")

[arlecchino]

— slightly rough but when she sees you upset it is on SIGHT with the person who made you cry — will go batshit crazy. just for you — gives a very opinionated speech about how she would report this person who made you upset to the department head yadda yadda and it makes you smile

[ayaka]

— definitely freaks out a little bit but remembers what thoma does for her whenever she feels anxious — holds your hand and squeezes it gently to assure you that she's there for you — she listens a lot and doesn't talk. will let you spill out everything while she sits there and rubs the back of your hand

[ayato]

— keeps his composure and is somewhat like a steady rock — will make you your favourite hot drink!! he remembers the little things about you so the right amount of sugar and milk and water etc — brings tissues and a soft cloth to wipe the tears away from your face while he sits there and holds your hand

[beidou]

— she gets a bit more quiet because she hates seeing you upset like this — slightly murderous look in her eyes because she will obliterate the person who made you this upset — holds you in her arms the entire time she tries to calm you down — wipes away your tears with her thumb

[capitano]

— doesn't speak a lot, he's more of a listener — enjoys holding you in his arms :( the quiet comforter is good at that and his presence is generally very calming — also he knows the exact way you like your fav drink — will be out to murder the person who made you sad

[childe]

— hums a soft melody, the same way he used to calm down his siblings when they got upset. also kisses you a lot throughout — (except that you get a lot more cuddles than them. lol) — cooks you your comfort dish while putting it on your favourite plate with your favourite set of cutlery (the fork and spoon with the cute little whales on them)

[diluc]

— asks adelinde to make you a pot of tea <3 — plays a soothing melody on the piano in efforts to calm you down. he makes you straddle him facing away from the piano and lean against his shoulder — presses kisses to your forehead while you spill about everything that made you upset

[dottore]

— bit of an eccentric comforter but thats okay! — he enjoys telling you stories about his past research and it makes you smile a lot (the safer versions, i'm gna pretend he doesn't do anything sketchy just in case ppl @ me) — i honestly can see dottore as a cuddler i'm sorry to those who disagree. this one's for @cxlrosii #1 dottore lover

[eula]

— she's.. not used to comforting you / other people so she's a little awkward — but she tries! she tends to just sit and listen while giving an extremely violent opinion about the other party to make you laugh — it works :) will bring a soft cloth to wipe away your tears as you sit on her lap

[ganyu]

— gets a little panicked but has to calm herself down before she can calm you down — brings tissues and small pieces of candy for you for eat bc she believes that its a better medicine ;) — also brings qingxins for you for some reason. 10/10 comforter tbh

[gorou]

— wraps you in this huge hug with his tail wagging and all!!!! super cute sight — he hates seeing you sad. will cuddle you on the spot even if other people are around — he lets you pet his ears longer than usual bc he knows it makes you happy :(

[heizou]

— i can't get the image of him straddling you while kissing you to make a smile appear on your face — wipes your tears away gently while telling you stories about the arataki gang getting into trouble — he might have thrown itto under the bus.. but oh well. heizou gives good cuddles okay

[itto]

— 10/10 BEST COMFORTER. will beatbox your troubles away — also likes to throw you up into the air for some reason??? like you could be crying on the floor and be up in the air the next — he's very careful though and he's super sweet about it. brings you to eat your favourite food afterward <333 lets you win onikabuto fights

[jean]

— sweet and comforting, just like her sister — you get a little worried bc you can see the stress etched on her face and you're def worried that you're burdening her but she very quickly catches on — you were not and never will be a burden to jean :( she loves you very very much

[kaeya]

— comforter SUPREME. 10/10. i want to cry so he will hold me in his arms and tell me that everything is alright — sings your favourite song & also loves to cook you your favourite food while you cry about everything to him. lets you taste test — he does this little nodding thing each time you say something its very cute

[kazuha]

— SINGS YOU LULLABIES <33333333 — also he wipes your tears away with his hand :") or his favourite cloth, the one with maple leaf print — cuddles you on his lap right there and then!!!! will run his fingers through your hair. gives headpats 25/8 and will gently affirm you that you are more than what upset you

[keqing]

— a little bit of a tough lover but thats just how she is :") — i honestly don't know too much about keqing but i love the idea of her taking a break from her work just to calm you down — gives good hugs!!!!!! they're sweet and gentle despite her slightly brash personality and always make you come back for more <3

[kokomi]

— the minute you start to sob, she sets down her pen and brings you into her arms — assures you that you're a wonderful person!!!! your mistakes do not define you or something motivational like that — wipes away your tears sweetly + gives the best hugs and smiles afterwards

[kuki shinobu]

— literally the definition of your pillar of strength — she's calm, collected, and analyses the situation pretty well so she can calm you down in the way you need it the most — loves to run her fingers through your hair to help you calm down plus give her a smile (it works)

[lisa]

— she does this little quiet exhale when she sees you being a mess. then tells you "come here, darling" — then gathers you in her arms while you sob everything out of you — makes you your favourite tea + grabs your favourite book so she can read softly to you — also cuddles you very well??? hello???????

[lumine]

— super sweet about everything — assures you that you are not a burden and the only burden is the person who made you upset — she hates seeing you sad like this :( will cuddle you all night to make you happy

[mona]

— being cheered up by mona usually consists of her swearing out the person who made you sad, as dignified mona can be — also makes you tea (its cheaper than going out to angels share + she believes that her tea is better than anything else. you agree) — lets you play with her experiments bc pretty colours make you happy :3

[ningguang]

— lady boss will buy you anything you want. — a new bed? it's coming tomorrow. express delivery. inazuman sweets? you can bet that ningguang placed a hefty sum for a commission and now beidou is rowing as fast as she can. — also you like to hear her just talk about anything bc her voice is so calming <3

— enjoys listening, then commenting

— he likes to run his fingers through your hair while you rant and cry, gently offering you tissues and back-of-hand-rubs

— i think he would be the type to drop his work and come take care of you :(

— get ready for the lightning strike on the house of the person who made you upset because she is COMING

Okay so lore time:

Visions = Pokéballs

Archons and other ancient beings, depending on their stories - some of them (at least Venti and Zhongli) - were “Divine” Pokémon that took on human forms once their species died out and now can train Pokémon like regular people

Unlike other regions where Pokéballs are all over the place, Teyvat only has “Vision Balls” which are gifted to people by the Divine Seven. It’s tricky to explain, but trainers whose Pokémon use Vision Balls can power-up their partners further than just their Pokemon traveling around by their sides

But because training Pokémon like this was invented by the Divine Seven in this region, the Raiden Shogun is seizing all Pokéballs from her area of jurisdiction so that no trainer may become as powerful as she, the Divine Gym Leader

Of course, other people can have Pokémon without Vision Balls, but those who have been gifted Pokéballs are said to be the most powerful trainers in the region

And then there’s the Traveler who can use the effects of a Vision Ball, but without one

Delusions could be like artificial Vision Balls that boost Pokémons’ abilities a fuck ton, but at the expense of their energy and potentially life force

Vision Balls boost the bond between trainer and Pokémon, Delusions exploit this

I’ve planned that the Abyss Order is corrupting Pokémon across the region using psychic type moves for their own purposes

Teyvat as a region is a giant melting pot of different Pokémon

The Fatui want to bring glory to the Ice Gym, the Abyss Order wants to restore their lost power

And Dainsleif was cursed when the Divine Seven had Khaenri’ah destroyed, just like Genshin lore

I would like to request a short story with Mond folks. (pure comedy pretty much) It’s about the way how each character makes tea. Like Lisa and Jean debate which type of kettle👀 is better to use. Lisa is for traditional tea brewing and Jean for convenient option of electric kettles. And then when they get almost to the peak of their debate they see Bennett in the library and ask him what type of brewing is better, to which his reply would be something along the lines: “I microwave my tea 👁️👄👁️”. And ig thats the end of it because both of the ladies are left shocked and break in laughter. This can also spark a debate about what type of cups to use while drinking tea 🤔 (like exquisite cup set or simple mugs, or a soup bowl cup👀).

Has a whole ritual for drinking tea. Has a fancy set with a lot of gold detailing which probably cost a lot

- Ningguang, Diluc, Ayato, Ayaka, Dori, Yae, Xinqgiu, Zhongli (Childe/Hu Tao bought the set for his birthday)

Uses it as a de-stressing method from work or interacting with other people. Probably has a favourite mug for their tea which they get annoyed when someone uses for something else than tea

- Lisa, Kokomi, Kuki, Nari, Al Haitham, Fischl, Xiao

Drinks tea because they like the taste of different flavours it has depending on the type of it.

- Thoma, Candace, Kazuha, Heizou, Xiangling

Uses electrical kettle to be able to drink it quickly because they don't have much time

- Traveller, Ganyu, Amber, Sucrose, Jean

Uses a traditional kettle that was passed down through their family line or was gifted to them at some time. They say it brings out more flavour

- Eula, Faruzan, Noelle, Yun Jin, Yanfei, Fischl

Microwaves their tea

- Bennett, Cyno

Drinks coffee because they need energy

- Jean, Dehya, Beidou, Kaeya, Yelan, Sara, Rosaria, Albedo, Layla

They drink colorful, sweet juices

- Ei, Wanderer(doesn't admit), Venti, Yoimiya, Collei, Nahida, Diona, Qiqi, Sayu, Klee, Yao Yao, Paimon, Shenhe, Diluc

They drink water cause it's good for your skin and has many health benefits

archon; "which nation's known 'ideal do you like the most: freedom, contracts, eternity, wisdom, justice, or war?" this isn't fontaine bias at all but !! justice !! but if you know me well enough, you know that i have a degree in criminology (and explains it) but it's just coincidence that justice happens to be fontaine shshs

venti; "which character(s) do you think you'd get actually get along with if you were to meet in person and who do you think you'd actually dislike interacting with?" on the list of people i'd get along with: zhongli, childe, hu tao, beidou, kaveh, nilou, candace, kaeya & venti (together, pls take me drinking /hj), amber, heizou, ayaka, yoimiya, itto and thoma!! on the dislike list, i actually don't think i'd get along too well with bennett? (cries), ningguang (intimidating) and miko (also intimidating, i'd be very much like gorou)

vision; "if you were visionless, how would you compensate for the lack of elemental boost? pure skill and wit or would you invest in some premium fatui-made delusions..." i highkey think i'd pull a diluc with a delusion, go on a 4 year murder spree and become banned in snezhnaya and act like it never happened /j. but i think i'd genuinely be like heizou with wit and intuition? instead of martial arts (although i did karate shshsh) i'd make up for it with archery though <3

freedom; "if you were blessed with a vision, which one would you want to have (and which one do you think you'd actually get?)" i'd want a hydro vision !! but i'm fairly certain i'd end up with an anemo vision oopsie...

delusion; "what are your genshin unpopular opinions?" following metas is boring ): if you wanna focus on builds and teams that make sense and have good compositions, fair enough!! but also you don't have to do that, you can make teams out of whatever the hell you want. don't want to put an artifact set everyone recommends onto someone? don't! want to make someone a main dps who isn't typically one? do it! i'm a mix of both but like it's so annoying when people comment on others' teams. if it works for someone and they enjoy it, why the hell not <3 another one (which is gonna be controversial i apologise) but the community leans heavily towards mlm ships and seem to dislike wlw ships more and more. lyney x scaramouche is currently a ship but i saw people shunning clorinde x navia ???

adventurer's guild; "which genshin group would you align yourself with?" okay so i'm not 100% on the groups but perhaps 4ggravate? (i'm like someone put all four of them in an afab body) and also the losers who like books (alhaitham, xingqiu, lisa)

guizhong; "which characters have your favourite aesthetic and/or design?" alhaitham (aesthetic, if you've seen my bedroom + phone it's literally his colours), lyney (aesthetic + design), kirara (design), kokomi (design + aesthetic) <3

rex lapis; "what's your favourite cultural aspect of each of the released nations?" hmm okay, does windblume count for mondstadt? because i hecking adore windblume so badly - liyue would be the architecture !! inazuma is the shrines and their torii gates, sumeru is their attire and fontaine is food <3 if they all count shshshsh

barbara; "you're a tourist traveling teyvat, which locations in the game would you want to visit in person?" windrise, guyun stone forest, wuwang hill, dragonspine !! the grand narukami shrine + tenshukaku, serpent's head, watatsumi (all of it hehe), pardis dhyai, devantaka mountain, mawtiyima forest, opera epiclese and elynas !!

sakura blooms; "what is/are your favourite world quest(s) you've done?" the heckin melusines !!! and also neko at the asase shrine <3

lantern rite; "what is your favourite cutscene in the game so far?" i have too many favourites aaaa !! possibly the parade of providence event cutscene though <3

ganyu; "which character's rerun are you waiting for desperately?" albedo. hoyo. hand him over. (:

dainsleif; "what theory do you have about the lore and the archon's involvement with the destruction of khaenri'ah?" my current fave theory is celestia clearly destroyed khaenri'ah because khaenri'ah didn't believe in them? and i believe that khaenri'ah was possibly a very technologically advanced country - maybe so advanced that it scared celestia into using the archons to do their bidding. obviously we may not know because of his contract but i like to theorise that zhongli doesn't like khaenri'ah's blood on his hands but he made a contract with celestia to not tell the truth as to what happened.

For Alatus/Red Xiao/Hongse, I like the idea of a Xiao that’s evil, but is really bad at being evil and is actually just condescending and snarky. I also really like Red Xiao’s design. I’m going to refer to him as Hongse because it’s easier than “red Xiao” and Hongse means red in Chinese
