Hello again! I've been scrollign through some of your older au's and just- I need more GoD. I want more possible younger/older brother relationship between Smokey & Predaking, even though technically Smokey's older(he's the little brother, he's definitely more immature than Preds). Also, I have to ask: What did happen when Soundwave tried to groundbridge him off the ship?

I wanna see possible Smokey & Preds saving the other Predacons, or if they're not able to, for at least a bonding moment with Smokey comforting Predaking after he's lost his siblings. I wanna see the reactions of the team to the anonymous helper, sending them decepticon info and nothing else. I wanna see their reactions to the supposed ghost, haunting Darkmunt. I wanna see if they blame themselves. Do they think they should've been nicer to him? To the basically kid, who gave up his life to give them the chance to end this war? Who never got the chance of seeing his home planet not plauged by war and destruction? Do they blame themselves for his spark not being able to rest, supposedly stuck here on earth, not let into the allspark and haunting the ones who killed him? Do they blame themselves for his death? Do they?

with Soundwave, this was something inspired from when Smokey yote himself off the Nemesis. Specifically how when he was falling, he ended up turning the Shifter off before he was about to fall through one of the portals only to get knocked aside by Megatron

(does this kinda contradict the S2 finale and how Smokey snuck back in canon? Maybe, but to be fair 1) that part of canon doesn't exist anymore, 2) the Phase Shifter is a little broken and doesn't work the same way anymore and 3) canon broke the logic first so Therefore I'm legally allowed to do the same)

anyways, why Soundwave doesn't talk about it

just. Smokescreen cranked up his Vengeful Ghost Factor to 20. When Soundwave tried ground bridging him off the ship, he simply kept slowly walking toward the mech, straight through the portal as if it didn't exist in the first place. He was relentless in his following, but also very very careful to never be fully in sight. Aside from a few slow following attempts, Smokey just stayed in the walls and floor around him. He'd hide in the floor and grab at his feet, gently brush his hands on his plating when he found him in the halls, would seek our and destroy any and all security cameras he could to make Soundwave just a little bit more blind

Soundwave doesn't mess with Smokescreen very much after that

but on a completely different note, you're absolutely right, Smokey and Predaking have SUCH sibling energy. Smokescreen talks for hours about anything and everything, but Predaking's favorite stories are the ones Smokey read in the Archives. He loves learning about Cybertronian culture, art, history, all those beautiful things which he never had a chance to experience himself. He's also fiercely protective of the smaller bot, and sure said protection is unnecessary on account of the whole He's Already Dead thing (at least to his knowledge), he can't help it

the two also like to go on long flights together. Smokescreen will hitch a ride on Predaking's back and they'll soar through the atmosphere together, nothing but the wind holding them back and gravity bending to their whims. These flights also serve as good secure places for them to talk without any of the Decepticons hearing them since whispering directly into Predaking's ears can get a little tiring for simple conversation

it's actually during one of these flight trips that Smokescreen tells Predaking about the Decepticon's plans to kill the other Predacons, at which he understandably flips his absolute SHIT. He's about ready to go on a fucking rampage and sets a good deal of the sky on fire, and it's only through some very desperate convincing on Smokey's part that the mech doesn't fly back to the Nemesis right that instant and tear them to shreds

so they come up with a plan. Predaking will distract the Autobots and keep them away for long enough so Smokescreen can use the phase shifter to get them all to safety by leading them deeper into the tunnels. Then they'll use the CNA and Synthetic Energon being stored to blow the place sky high so the Decepticons think the Predacons are dead and that they have Predaking's loyalty secured

I'll admit, I'm not too sure where exactly to go from here in terms of that specific plot thread. My best idea right now is Smokescreen hacking the Decepticon Groundbridge controls and stealing energon to keep them all fed which he simply disguises as his usual Ghostly Shenanigans. Predaking definitely affectionately call him their "Preda-prince" but given how close the two of them are it's basically official and he's considered a Predacon in all but frame by all of them

and Y E S with the Autobots. Wheeljack's account of this "ghost" is enough to raise some eyebrows. After all, he isn't a superstitious person, and the fact he's not that skeptical about it..... well, that's a little weird already

and oh boy, wouldn't it be fun if when they tried to take down Darkmount, Smokescreen ended up giving them some help behind the scenes :)

and honestly, the aftermath of that is going to be painful, for both groups. Smokescreen because as much as he desperately wants to reunite with the other Autobots, he can't deny that being behind enemy lines like this could be SUPER useful. He could feed the Autobots information, interfere with the Decepticons plans and technology, lower their morale to make them easier opponents......

it's too tantalising to give up because the Autobots need every advantage they have, especially now, so he decides to pay dead for a little while longer

but of course....... the Autobots are still completely under the impression he's dead. The guilt is all still there, and the fact it seems Smokescreen's spark is lingering in such a wrathful way? That despite everything he's done, the ultimate sacrifice he gave, he's been trapped and tethered to this plane of existence and not allowed the relief of the Allspark

Hwugh I love participating in Dom but I think we need some improved inter-flight communication. I'm all for impromptu conquests but it feels. Odd?? To do so during another flight's to say the least?? And I get it!! The pebble pets are cute and the frogs are cute but as a member of Plague I do wish there was some communication with Plauge's dom team beforehand?? If we (general Plague populus) could've been given the time to to vote in a poll if we wanted a battle or not either week that would have been. Amazing. Especially this week. I'm mostly confused to be honest but I know a lot of germs are annoyed to reasonably upset as of now.

I am choosing to stay out of the fourms the rest of this week but I desperately hope it's civil. Ouegh.

Mirror - usually from plauge super into the plauge aesthetics or have a deep love for mirrors (hit me up if u do)

Guardian - most based player ever

Ridge back - do u like fish? You do. I never see rb pfp

Spiral - hardcore g1 lair, especially if they have the shades or the cover

Goaler - m goaler, the most based person alive. F goaler. Ok. Ur ok I guess

Sky dancer - g1 lair or insane sometimes both

Abberation or Under tide - hoarder, likes new shiny things

Ok so Lore Dump today! I know I'm behind and after this I will make sure I do an ask about the Dusknoir au. Anyway Part 2 of the Guardians!

Name: Scimon (Sci-mon) He/Him

Appearance: In his human diguse he is a pale skinned raven faunus. He is about 7 feet tall. He has toxic green hair and wears a waring sign yellow cloak. He carries a black mask shaped like beak that covers most of his face but not his eyes. His trait is some raven tail feathers. He wears wear neon red pants with black shoes. He does not wear a shirt. In his true form his entire body is made of a thick dark green acid. His mask fuses to his face and becomes a working beak. He also grows wings in this form.

Aura:No

Magic:Acid(He can create and control acid. He can control how acidic his acid is. This includes his own body. His acid can quickly melt though even metal and only a speical kind of metal is immune.) Posion (He can produce and control posion and toxins in gas or liquid form) Storage (He has a small pocket dimension He can store supplies and weapons to use.) Flight (His wings can't really fly him so he has this magic) Wind (He was wind powers to work his acid and posion)

*Note I'm doing weapons now because the last three Guardians did not have weapons and either hand to hand and used magic so I'm adding it now.

Weapon: A metal staff and a round bottle on top without the lid. The staff is painted to look wooden. The bottle on top is used to fire out elemental attacks,potions he crafts, or just more acid.

Other notes: Scimon was made to guard the experiments of the Keeper as well as conduct and oversee them. They can range from finding new ways to use magic, to upgrading grimm and machines , or even human and fanuas ones. His base is a group of factorys used by him amd other companys. He is seems intense but is quite chill most of the time. He's does get really exicted with his experiments. He tends to hunch over a lot. He gets upset very quickly if people underestimate him in battle. He tries to end fights as fast as possible even being brutal. He main attacks are wide spread area attacks or close range acid touches and acid blasts. Hates the cold because his acid loses its acidity when frozen.

Main Inspiration:Horus from Idle Heroes amd Plauge Knight from Shovel Knight.

Name: Frost Helen She/Her

Appearance: Frost has three forms. Her first is her human disguise. She looks like a fair skinned women with long Grey hair(about mid back) She wears a thin grey shirt with a heavy cloak on her back made of black bear fur, cream colored pants, and thick brown boots. Out of her disguise her skin turns to see though ice. Her eyes turn pure dark blue amd her hair is know made of Grey snow. Frost second form is a giant snow wolf with ice teeth and claws made of blue ice. Her tail now her Ax. Eyes are still the same. Her size nows allow her to fit a 5'10 well built man in her mouth easily. Her final form is a large serpent with scales and teeth made of ice covered in white ice. She is long enough to coil around the outside of median sized village and taller than three stories. She can fits a Goliath in her mouth without stretching.

Aura:No

Magic:Ice( She can make and control Ice) Freeze( This allows her to constantly make the surroundings area cold enought to freeze water instantly.) Shape shifting. Wind. Snow(She can produce snow storms to cover her escapes or make people lose track or them or friends location.) Durability(She can make herself more Durability allowing her to use her strength to burrow though wood,stone and even metal)

Weapon:In her human form she uses a great two sided ax. She can use with only one hand. She can also channel magic though it to allow her launch freezing blast.

Other notes: Frost guards the portal to the Ever After(It does not work yet). She is quiet to the point of being selective mute. She also gets irritated easily. The most trigger happy of the Guardians she has no issue attacking people near her home even if they would have never entered them selves. Her home is a frozen viking/norse inpired village in Soiltas. She often reads to pass the time since she is alone a lot. When she gets lonely she calls the other guardian to talk.

Main Inspiration: Loki's three kids

Name: Terraend (Terra-end) He/him

Appearance: In disguise he is a average height dark skinned Chinese man. He has brown hair and yellow eyes. He wears a straw hat to cover his eyes and a purple and red Dragon robe on his body with open toed straw sandals on his feet. Without his disguise Terraend is made of a brown stone with glowing pure yellow eyes. He can also turn into a crystal form covering his body in crystal and having mupitle crystal eyes on his bofy.

Aura:Yes Semblance:Not yet

Magic:Earth( He can control and manipulate anything related to earth. Dirt,Sand,mud,stone, concrete and even iron but only pure iron.) Mind control(Anyone who looks into his eyes will fall under his control unless they have magic themselves or are an Arc by blood) Speed(He can boost his speed much higher than most Magiolems) Tired (he can drain people's energy though contact of his body or weapons with someone else's skin or thin clothes.)

Weapon: Terraend uses a variety of modified gardening tools. His main weapon his a flat shovel with a thick blade of gold looking metal and ruby embedded in the handle and the shovel. A steel sand rake with spikes. A hoe and scythe with sharp blades made of jade.

Other notes: Terraend guards a collection of plants being grow in Anima. His base is and old village ripped apart by grimm and then later raided by bandits. He is dismissive of anyone he is talking too or fighting. He always remains calm even when fighting muptile opponents. He is the most skilled of the active Guardians and makes that clear to people who like to brag their own achievements. He's hates the towerments on T.V because he feels in a real fight the rules they use are pointless and the champions are nothing but show ponys. He's like to make and care for Zen Gardens.(I know I made him look Chinese but it's fits other theming.)

Main Inspiration: Tsuchi from Clicker Heroes

Okay, so we have a warden for the magical experiments the Keepers hold to conduct.

Helen gives me vibes of either Demeter from Hades and Auril from Dungeons and Dragons.

Terraend's mind control power kinda reminds me of a combo of both semblances of Umber Gorgoneiaon and Jax Asturias. Him being a zen gardener sounds like a neat concept and makes me wonder if he follows Daoist or Confucian style philosophies.

AITA for drop-kicking my 97 yr old grandmother down the stairs for commenting on my privilege?

For starters, I, 37F, am not fond of doing anything evil or villainy. If anything, all my life I’ve been called an angel sent down from heaven itself. Everything from my perfect looks to my amazing personality has made my life as easy as the first level of a video game. Everything, ever since I was a little girl, has been given to me on a silver platter. As blissful as it may sound, this is actually a curse to me. Having everything gifted to me so easily has made me not feel confident in myself. I wish I could go to school and get an honest grade rather than an A+ just because i’m beautiful. If only I looked like a rat that got flung into the air by a yellow taxi, landed in the Broadway junction train station, kicked onto the tracks by the local crackheads, and kicked by the L train.

Anyways, around the second week of March, I decided to give my grandmother a visit. I saw a tiktok post of this person prank calling their mom and telling them that they’re gonna put her into a nursing home and that reminded me of my miserable grandmother who lived in California, but the ghetto part. From where I live, Florida, I decided to book a plane there. After my 5 hour flight and 30 minute drive to her house from the airport, I finally got to see my grandma.

From the outside of her house, it looked like a bunch of goons came and had a gang fight outside her house. Her house looked like it was going through the stages of grief, specifically the stage depression. It looked like her house unfortunately survived the bubonic plauge, all the world wars, and every horrible event in history combined. When I took a step into the atmosphere of the house, I almost puked. It smelt like 1700 cans of bounce tf out of that ass. It smelt like the tears and pathogens of Genshin Impact and League of Legend players combined. It was a horrible, deathly smell, but I walked in anyways. If anything, I didn’t come all this way just to judge my grandma’s ass of a home.

I walked into the house and greeted my grandma who was sitting on the couch. Before I can sit down and try to start a conversation with her, she insulted my golden locs and my sapphire blue orbs. She said that I look like a whore and that she wasn’t even sure if I was her granddaughter because of how slutty my appearance is. That was my first red flag, but I just ignored her because I am not the one to insult an old little granny. I decided not to sit down and I went upstairs instead, deciding that instead of trying to talk to her raggedy ass, I would attempt to fix up her raggedy house instead. She followed me upstairs and watched me clean up her bathroom (which was absolutely disgusting). After I was done, she insulted me again by saying that if she was a man, she’d stick her wood in my while I was cleaning the bathroom because of how big and plump my butt is. She said that I would be asking for it as well. I ignored the second red flag because I am not one to hurt an old little granny.

After hours of cleaning her upstairs, granny slowly walked out of her room and looked at me with a sorry face. She apologized for her actions and said that she was just having a bad day because of her menopause. As she turned around to slowly walk back down the steps, she said something that really got under my skin.

“You must be blessed by god himself to receive this must privilege in your life. How lucky it must be to be you”.

After she said that, everything went black. All I remember after that is seeing her at the bottom of the steps with one leg on the 5th step and the other behind her back. As quickly as I saw the image of my dead grandma, I ran out the house.

I am writing this on the airplane back home. It’s been 3 hours. I wonder if her body has been discovered yet.

I am in the middle of trying to write a Magical girl raising project fanfiction. I'll spare you any details of the story to avoid getting your hopes up because I'm notorious for starting creative projects and not finishing them, but it lead me to think about some problems with the story that I'd want to fix in a retelling.

As a caveat, I did like the show. It's not as good as Madoka or Utena but it's structured better than Yuki Yuna (Yuki Yuna was unfortunately plauged with some adaptation issues that MGRP lacks) and is miles above a lot of the other trash that is often published in the 'dark magical girl' genre. I also haven't read the light novels but I'm aware of their existence and some of the things that happen in them.

Problem #1: Most of the characters are flat.

This is an unfortunate consequence of the ratio of number of characters to length of source material; the main source material for the anime is a light novel with is quite short and a few short stories that were published later. The vast majority of characters get one main personality trait and a backstory which can range from insightful to vauge to nonexistent. This means that the amount of emotional investment you are able to put into a character before their death is variable and often minimal. This is an unfortunate problem with a lot of death game stories and can be solved by decreasing the number of characters, making the story longer, or both, which allows for more opportunities for character development.

Problem #2: Power balance

In the show, each magical girl has either a magical weapon or a magical power of some kind. Some exceptions to this such as the Peaky angels who in addition to their transformation powers get flight and Cranberry who gets super hearing in addition to her main sound based powers. The powers are not incredibly well balanced, which I'll explain by comparing the powers of a few different characters. Hardgore Alice's power gives her the ability to regerate unless her entire body is destroyed. This makes her nigh invulnerable and if she had paired this ability with any non-magical offensive weapon she would have been a top contender the winner from raw ability alone. Compare this with Magicaloid 44's power of a random futuristic item a day, which is extremely luck based, Sister Nana's ability bless someone to make them stronger which relies on having a living ally to use it on, and Ruler's mind control power which has too many restrictions to make the most of. In my opinion the best death games are balanced so that anyone has a change of winning or at least surviving. Emotional investment in a given character drops when you can accurately predict that they won't last long.

Problem 3# Snow white

Snow white is the main character of the arc. Her Schtick as a stereotypical magical girl is a good contrast to what the story ends up being, but her main problem is that she has little agency in the plot. Her power has an offensive capability that is used in later light novels but she doesn't have the foresight in the first arc to use it, and she spends most of the plot hiding behind other characters or cowering in a corner. She has one moment where she chooses to do something significant towards the end of the show and even then the payoff relies on multiple other characters actions and not on anything that she did. She makes it to the end of the story because of plot armor.

I don't want to be completely unfair to Snow White. The idea that her simple, childish, innocent desire to spend her days spreading kindness and joy to other people was so moving to the other characters that they decided to help her in spite of what the world turned out to be is emotionally poignant in its own way. I think she works best as a foil to Ripple as Ripple slowly softens throughout the story and Snow white becomes more jaded. She just isn't entertaining to watch most of the time, however, and I suspect that's why Magical girl raising project doesn't have as large of a fanbase as other similar shows.

Storyteller/Ruth! She travels between Avalon and our world and is involved in Sparrow's Flight. She kinda scared the hell out of Sparrow.

14. Who's my least favorite established character?

ISAIAH. Homie is behind like 99.999999999% of all of Avalon's wars, plauges, and famines. He was cursed by a God (you don't get to know who yet ;) and everywhere he goes he brings destruction. He's gotten better at hiding his ability but god damn. He's a piece of work.

in flight there is the fear of never landing. but i landed, and while there is no definite location, i am definitely over the mountains. which mountains, is the question.

i was afraid of getting on the bus because i was afraid it would take me somewhere worse. here there are bodies and bodies, new bodies, barely any are old bones //NOT THAT THAT'S ANY BETTER//. they lay on the streets or sit propped up on the corner.

and the worst part is that the buildings look new. they look fine. abandoned, yes, but they don't have rotten frames and crumbling foundations. fresh fruit lies on tables. i feel like a king, and it hurts. i don't deserve to live like this while the plauge continues, while the rot spreads.

who are these people? why can't i do anything more than try not to look? am i in control here? am i the source?

this place really is beautiful. i want to feel happy about it.
