♣ Albinism-related headcanons

Because of the fact that she's albinistic, Bella's hair has almost no melanin in it. Her undyed hair is a VERY light blonde, nearly white. This is also true for her eyebrows! Nearly white eyebrows on pale skin means that sometimes it looks like she doesn't have eyebrows at all. As such, she has to draw on her eyebrows with makeup almost every day. Usually, the only makeup she wears when working out or honestly doing ANYTHING is the eyebrow pencil.

Also because of her albinism, Bella's freckles aren't actually brown! (Though in drawings I use brown anyway for visibility purposes) Her freckles are actually a shade of pink! Again it's caused by a lack of melanin! While it's definitely possible to have freckles as an albinistic person, they're usually not brown and instead much harder to see because of the coloring.

The lack of melanin in her eyes can (and did) lead to issues with her eyesight. Melanin is involved in the development of the retina, so that's lead to some really bad short-sightedness. She honestly cannot see shit without contacts or glasses. The few instances where she isn't wearing her contacts or glasses tend to mean that she has to bring things SUPER close to her face to see them. Bella also greatly prefers contacts to glasses. She thinks glasses make her look silly.
