Birmingham Daily Post - Thursday 14 August 1969 -A record breaking number of entries for the championship dog section of this year's City of Birmingham Show will include two breeds which have not appeared before.Among the 6503 dogs entered are Ibizan Hounds and Pharaoh Hounds which have not appeared at the show in previous years.Over 100 breeds will be represented and to accommodate the dogs, 12 large marquees, covering 2000 sq.ft., will be put up and 35 judjing rings provided. the show will take place in hands worth Park, Birmingham, on September 5 and 6.
