Hey y'all if you commission a doodle from me for a few bucks from now til the 28th, all money will go to the palestinian children's relief fund. The 21st to the 28th was called to be a strike week by Bisan Owda (do what you can, there's a lot of options for how to support the strike), so this is for that. As long as you place a doodle commission between those dates, 100% of the money will go to PCRF

[ID: a drawing of Esrah waving a Palestinian flag attached to their cane, on an olive green gradient background. The drawing is simplified and has effects applied to look like newsprint. Esrah is a punk with brown/green/blue hair, wearing a patch jacket and black pants. The Palestinian flag looks about as wide as they are tall. /End ID]

DIY Punks for Palestine 🇵🇸
calling all self-proclaimed punks
I’ve recently been inspired by the DIY punk tradition of upcycling already-owned clothing garments, making patches, and infusing fashion with political messaging. I want to see more of the punk community engaging in this tradition, and using fashion to support Palestinian liberation.
Punk is against oppressive systems, including settler colonialism. Make patches, write on the backs of jackets, embroider “free palestine” every chance you get.
Find fellow community members to do this with you, share crafting materials, spread the message. Resist the occupation of Palestine from every front you can think of. Chant “free palestine” until you lose your voice for chanting for so long, and then write it, and write it, and write it. The occupying forces are banking on the world’s silence, do not be silenced.

"It might be hard to believe that this video was taken today after 155 days of genocide and war and continuous death and bombing even though Gaza still astonishes me because every single day I walk to a new place I find places that are full of beauty and life, its like the land itself is resisting to be killed to be demolished and to be wiped from the planet earth, long live Palestine and for God’s sake ceasefirenow🇵🇸"

It is utterly insane, and I mean INSANE, to see people say they’re “tired of seeing stuff about Palestine” especially in punk spaces. The EXACT thing punks are against, as a whole, is happening to people in Palestine and you have the audacity to say you’re “tired of seeing it”? Have you considered doing something about it then? Yknow, like punks are supposed to do? Or are you here for the fashion?
I hate to be a boomer apologist but sometimes they have a point, nowadays people are terrified to grab a brick, let alone throw it. And yeah I get it, the stakes are high, people are scared of their government, I don’t blame you for that fear. But action despite consequences in the name of good is key to being punk. Please, I’m begging, posers btfo

Still thinking about that person that had a problem with the 'Hobie would be Pro-Palestine' post because it's 'tasteless to inject functional characters into real life politics'
Cause it's like my buddy. my guy.
I don't know how to tell you this but Hobie would fucking hate Zionists. He'd fucking hate them.
We visibly see Hobie throwing glass bottles at riot police he'd obviously back Palestinian children throwing rocks at the gun-wielding tank-covered militant arm of their oppressors DUH
Tumblr media
ALSO he'd back the dissolution of the UK for a Free Scotland and a United Ireland. He'd fucking hate monarch loyalists. Also also he thinks Margaret Thatchers grave is a toilet
Also also also he's murdered a cop by choice because they were a cop like come on man
I get it, you want to keep the conversation grounded and serious because it's based in real world traumas and atrocities.
If this was Barney or something maybe it'd be a different conversation
but it's Hobie Brown. Let's think about this please.
We're all like 'Weeeeee I'm so happy we have a real punk character now!!'
And then we start talking about real punk stuff and it's 'what nooo don't do that that's disrespectful'
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Changed your mind real quick, huh? Changed lanes no blinker on. PLEASE STOP.
Are you surprised that punks are a fan of a punk character and are using him for punk agendas? That caught you off guard? THAT threw you off your game?? Come on now.
We as fans of Hobie have a RIGHT to appropriate him for leftist punk causes cause he's made in our image. We can use him however we what so long as it adheres the moral foundations of punk.
Hobies for the people.
Also if this post makes you angry

Love Palestine more than you hate Israel. Love trans people more than you hate transphobia. Love the poor more than you hate the rich.
Always love who you fight for more than you hate those who you fight against. Otherwise when the Uniting Enemy is gone, you might start to hate as well.
Anger is part of revolution, but love is too.
