Today I created my own holiday called “handle your shit saturday” in which I had to actually deal with all the shit piling up in my house and actually do the projects I’d been planning and it was so satisfying and made me feel SO much better. If you’re struggling rn, I highly recommend, even if you just handle a small chunk of your shit, giving it a name made it feel all official and whatnot and somehow let me trick myself into doing things I’ve been putting off since November.

Stitching Stories: Bringing Your Cross-Stitch Designs to Life with QR Codes
Welcome to the future of cross-stitching! Our cross-stitch patterns are not just visually stunning—they come with a story that adds depth and meaning to each design. We are excited to introduce a unique feature that enhances your cross-stitch experience: QR Code Integration. This innovative approach links each pattern to an MP3 audio file and a written summary, making your finished piece not just a work of art, but a gateway to a captivating narrative. In this blog post, we’ll delve into how QR codes can be integrated into your cross-stitch projects, how they work, and the myriad ways they can be used to enrich your crafting experience.
What is QR Code Integration?
QR Code Integration is a simple yet powerful way to connect your cross-stitch designs to their accompanying stories. Each of our cross-stitch patterns comes with a QR code that links to a dedicated webpage hosting the audio file and a written summary of the story behind the design. By scanning the QR code with a smartphone or tablet, viewers can instantly listen to the story, adding an interactive and engaging element to your cross-stitch display.
How to Use QR Codes with Your Cross-Stitch Projects
Print the QR Code:
After completing your cross-stitch project, print the QR code provided with your pattern. You can use any standard printer to print the QR code on paper, or you can get creative and print it on a small card or label.
Display the QR Code:
Place the printed QR code next to your finished cross-stitch piece. You can frame the QR code alongside your artwork, attach it to the frame, or even create a small stand-alone card that accompanies the display.
Interactive Viewing:
Encourage viewers to scan the QR code with their smartphones. Once scanned, they will be directed to a webpage where they can listen to the audio file and read the story behind your design. This interactive element turns your cross-stitch into a multi-sensory experience.
Enhancing Your Cross-Stitch Experience
Incorporating QR codes into your cross-stitch projects offers several benefits:
Immersive Storytelling:
Listening to the story while viewing the cross-stitch piece creates a more immersive and engaging experience. It adds context and emotional depth, transforming the way people perceive and appreciate your work.
Educational Value:
For educational settings or craft exhibits, QR codes can provide additional information and background, making your cross-stitch projects not only beautiful but also informative.
Gift Giving:
Adding a QR code to a cross-stitch gift allows the recipient to connect with the story behind the design. This personal touch can make your gift even more special and memorable.
Home Decor:
Integrate QR codes into your home decor by placing them near your framed cross-stitch pieces. Visitors can scan the codes to learn more about each artwork, turning your home into an interactive gallery.
Craft Fairs and Exhibitions:
Use QR codes at craft fairs or exhibitions to attract and engage visitors. Provide a listening station or encourage people to use their own devices to explore the stories behind your designs.
Why It Matters
Our cross-stitch patterns are more than just designs; they are stories waiting to be told. By integrating QR codes, you not only enhance the visual appeal of your projects but also add a narrative dimension that enriches the entire experience. This innovation bridges the gap between traditional crafting and modern technology, making your cross-stitch projects stand out.
Conclusion
QR Code Integration is a game-changer for cross-stitch enthusiasts. It adds a new layer of interaction and storytelling to your projects, making them more dynamic and engaging. Whether you are creating for personal enjoyment, educational purposes, or commercial displays, incorporating QR codes will elevate your cross-stitching to new heights. So, embrace this blend of art and technology and let your cross-stitch designs tell their stories in the most captivating way possible. Happy stitching!

⤹˚ synopsis. adult! ichigo takes you to a winter date to the tokyo tower, climb the steps by his hand, let him guide you the sky.
requested by: @cofeedaifuku ➡ Hello! It has been a really long time since I last requested, so I’m a little shy, but knowing that you are the one that is going to receive it calms me down. Can I request Adult! Ichigo with the prompt to see the tokyo tower at night? Nsfw, female reader she/her, (I’m really bad with requests so I don’t know if I should describe the details of the ask, but in any case, something like Ichigo just loves his s/o so much and he just looks at her and completely loses control. Please ignore this if it is not the case.) tw: MDNI. slight nsfw. adult! ichigo. masturbation through the clothes. wc: 1.7k masterlist
Tumblr media
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ ㅤHis hand feels warm, powerful too. ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ ㅤYour hand, in his, feels tiny… protected.
“Can you make some time for me?” that’s how he asked; Ichigo had red apples for cheeks when he did. Your eyes shined like five-point stars; you waited for him to ask you out since forever…
Through the cold streets of Tokyo, the frosting sound beneath your feet sound like cracking. The trees, all of them decorated with silver fairy lights. A gleaming spectacle to the eyes, contrasting with the visible glooming cold of December.
Christmas is right around the corner; the streets are busier than ever. People carry big bags with gifts during a Saturday night, but both of you aren’t buying stuff.
“Have you ever been to the Tokyo tower during winter?” Ichigo asks, stuttering. For some reason, he can be a totally different man when it comes to be all alone with you.
“I never been there during the winter season! I am excited to see the lights!” you chime, so happy your heart could jump out of your chest. Spending time alone with him feels like a dream come true.
Ichigo smiles softly, his eyes flutter to the ground in sign of happiness but still total shyness. “I am glad I chose a good spot, then” he murmurs, scratching the back of his head.
You nod, with a lovely beam. You wish to tell him any spot with him would be perfect, but what if it’s too much? What if it’s not proper?
As you wait for the light street to turn to green, he fidgets with his fingers. His eyes are fixed on your hanging hand, the ginger man is dying to hold it.
You notice, and internally giggle. You help him, letting your sleeve slightly go up. There is no point on acting more shy than him.
Soon enough -or at least right when the red light turns to green- Ichigo snatches your hand. It’s not delicate, it is clumsy but definitely dominant, the way he grabs you and pulls you through the crowd.
Your eyes shine brightly with the lights all around, and the wind plays with your hair looking like the typical shoujo scenes.
Your sight wanders and lands on the freckled cheeks of the strawberry boy; a little blush garnishes his skin, but he has that look of fearless man you know too well. He has decided to stop being shy, to finally get what he came to gain.
A few more steps and your eyes get blessed by the imponent look of the Tokyo Tower in front of you. The red metallic pieces now shine lights of different silver shades. And as you look up, a halo of cold mist surrounds its upper levels.
“Beautiful” you murmur, causing in Ichigo to gasp and look right into your eyes.
“You… you are…” he mumbles, immediately looking away with long orange lashes that cast beautiful shadows over his galaxy cheeks.
You bite your lower lip with a smile, how cute…
“Let’s hurry up, or we aren’t gonna be able to get there before it closes” he tells you, pulling you softly towards the entrance where a man kindly scans the Qr codes from different tickets. You nod and follow him, never once letting you go from your hand.
Once inside, while most of the people decide to take the elevator, both of you chose to climb the 600 steps of the outside stairs. It’s a lot more magical to see the lights of the city as you go up, even if the cold air may seem painful to your lungs. But you don’t care, and neither does he.
You follow him, with the sound of your feet hitting the metallic steps and the heart pumping as hard as them. The more you climb, the more beautiful the city looks beneath your feet.
Ichigo turns around to look at you from time to time, and he is smiling preciously. A beam that he rarely has on his face, but that is big enough to make his brown eyes squint.
The first checkpoint gets cleared, 200 steps in. Then the second one, this time with a little more difficulty. 400 steps, laughing and almost running are a lot more than what your body is used to. However, you want to keep going, but you definitely need to catch some air first.
“Wai-wait Ichigo” you giggle, taking some deep breath of humid cold air through your mouth.
“Oh… sorry, I- I didn’t mean to make you run that much- I…” he excuses himself, watching you with guilty puppy eyes.
You simply laugh. It is more than okay. If you wanna keep up with him, you need to train. He is an amazing substitute Shinigami, and not only that but the stronger ever made; the least you can do is to be able to climb some steps fast enough to catch up with him.
“No worries Kurosaki-kun. I just needed a little bit of air; let’s go” you rush to keep climbing, even if you are clearly not recuperated still. Your head is a little bit dizzy, your legs a little weak.
You try to walk towards him, but you feel like everything around turns dark for some seconds. And Ichigo notices right away.
“(Name)? are you ok?” he urges you for an answer while his arms surround your tired body with his protective embrace.
You would lie if you said you were feeling bad; after all Ichigo is now hugging you. Nothing could go wrong.
“I am fine… I just got a little lightheaded” you whisper, looking up at him. Your nose barely grazing the sharp jaw of the Shinigami. Looking how his Adam’s apple move as he swallows in clear sign of nervousness.
And even if you wanted to move away from his arms, you couldn’t as he kept pulling you closer, tightly against his chest.
The scent of his soft perfume mixed with the one his winter skin has, reminds you how much you desire him. You want him, you want to praise him, and you also want his lips against your lips.
“Please, rest for some minutes more…” he mumbles, this time delicately pushing your head towards his chest. “You need to breathe calmly…” he continues, enjoying perhaps a lot more than he should the closeness of your skin against his.
You don’t dare to argue; you don’t want to. You just want for him to hug you so eternally, and even after too. You nod, nuzzled in the little crook that his prominent collar bones form in the middle of his chest. The little patch of visible skin in between his scarf and white big coat, is all you need to rest assure for the rest of your life.
His hand slowly goes down to the small of your back; his touch is not indecent, it is caring and loving and despite that, the sexual tension in between both of you is undeniable.
You place your ear on his chest, letting yourself go with the song of his beating heart… allowing yours to beat in perfect synchronicity with it. Your eyes open, and they get filled by the view of a city that never seems to sleep, with neon lights flashing all over long, long streets.
Ichigo does the same, both look through the metallic red protective net for some minutes until a little white fluff falling from the sky catches your attention.
“It’s snowing…” you whisper, snaking your arms around his waist. “How beautiful, it is the first one this year”
“Yes…” Ichigo sighs, with trembling voice and reiatsu growing stronger inside the very core of his body. He is gaining strength, or perhaps thinking carefully about his next actions… what he is about to do, might change the destiny of both.
You know it too; when it’s right, you just know…
“Ichigo, I…” you murmur, looking up at him with your eyes plastered on his lips. Giving him the permission to kiss you once, and as many times as he want.
With the same hand he wields his zanpakuto to protect, he now grabs your chin and rather desperately kisses your lips. When your mouths crash against the other, both let some air scape your lungs, living off each other’s souls. More and more, deepening the kiss, melting into one.
The light show of the tower, the last of tonight, begins. Nobody seems to notice you two, neither you notice the lasers blinking through the heavy atmosphere of cold and snowflakes falling.
His hands, this time pooling in the small of your back in concupiscent intention, pulls you closer than ever before. You notice how much of a man he has become; grown up to be stronger and also to be sexier, mature, extremely attractive.
Your belly, feeling the hardness growing in between Ichigo’s winter clothes. Your legs, quivering as his tongue plays with yours in wet, lustful kiss.
The loud songs coming from inside, accompanying the light spectacle, letting your moans to be unheard by the rest as his hands slips so needy in between your tights from under your flannel skirt.
Ichigo’s fingertips get wet, as they rub against your stockings. You shiver and jolt, as he presses right in the spot. The graze of the tights and panties on your clit makes you whine louder into his mouth. A moan he eats so pleased, so hectically.
“I-Ichigo… I….” you stutter, so close to the very first climax of the night… just by the simple touch of his hands with your clothes still on.
“I know… I know… I am sorry, I couldn’t stop myself no more…” he sighs, kissing your forehead but never stopping the circular motions on your core. “I just love you so damn much, (Name)…” he finally confesses, breathing your last moan before you could melt right there, into a mess of sexual desire unleashed and pleased.
“I… I am… Ichigo…” “I know, let’s go back to the hotel… I wouldn’t like you catching a cold, we can come back tomorrow…It was a good idea to come all the way from Karakura town to Tokyo with you 💖~”

At the end of season 4 of the Glory Pro Alliance, the government finally receives the information it has been waiting for: The other players have caught up. Or, In which Glory has been a government recruitment ploy for remote-piloted mecha operators all along.
About the Book
FONTS: Mundo Serif, Azonix [dafont], Segoe UI Symbol
IMAGES: Illustration by Blurb_brain [AO3]; cover image by NASA ID: 440611 [Rawpixel]; Planet Earth background ID: 6331593 [Rawpixel]; Circuit lines background ID: 3117935 [Rawpixel]; endpapers' image by Eric Eastman [Unsplash]; Swoksaar, Desert Dust, Lord Grim, Vaccaria, and Cloud Piercer [The King's Avatar Wikia]
MATERIALS: regular printer paper (8.5"x11", 96 bright, 20lb), 80pt bookboard, Iris Bookcloth (colour: Black Pearl), Neenah cardstock (8.5"x11", bright white, 65lb), waxed linen thread (white, 30/3 size), embroidery floss (shades 3750, 350, 3845, 370), leather cording (1.9mm diameter), Reeves’ acrylic paint (Mars Black, Phthalo Blue, Titanum White), Americana acrylic paint (glow in the dark), ph neutral pva glue (Books by Hand)
PROGRAMS USED: Typeset in Affinity Publisher, cover/title page/endpapers designed in Affinity Designer/Photo, QR codes generated with LibreOffice Writer, PDF arranged for printing with Bookbinder-JS
BINDING STYLE: quarto, case bound (slightly rounded, with oxford hollow, forgot to use tapes)
.
Fenes' "Glory's tech isn't handwaved" AU. This was great! Funny and creative, and I'm both amazed and full of admiration for Fenes' ability to juggle so many characters.
I was feeling excited and ambitious with this one. Tried some new fun things (double core endbands, painted edges) and used some new equipment (a lying press).
The Text
TITLE/HEADINGS FONT: Azonix says 'SciFi' to me, it's a bold, non-serif, sleek font.
BODY FONT: Mundo Serif, it's a decent serif body font I haven't used before. Felt like it worked with Azonix.
SCENE BREAKS: a special character in Segoe UI Symbol of a black & white icon of Earth, the globe showing Asia.
TYPESETTING: Finished typesetting the fic, left document open on my laptop, laptop's battery failed, file now crashes immediately upon reopening, issue persists with copied versions of file (; ̄Д ̄) . Thankfully I had a backup file for the typeset with the barebones of the text, so I didn't have to restart from scratch...
Title Page
My thinking: it takes place in space, the world's at stake, and it's the dawn of a new horizon for Earth. Glory and the titular champions are represented by Swoksaar, Desert Dust, Lord Grim, Vaccaria, and Cloud Piercer – the captains of what I'd call the 'big 5' teams. A circuitry board background element hints at the tech/mecha nature of the story's competition. It may not match Blurb's art, but I hope I was able to convey some of what the story is about.
The circuitry image is used as decoration throughout the book. I only used the avatars of the top five teams' captains because too many silhouettes would lessen their impact and readability. (Removing the backgrounds was tedious, but worth it.)
Here's what it should have looked like. The test prints for this and the BB art were fine, but I think my inkjet started running out of ink just when I printed the final copies and I didn't reprint them. (Too impatient, really wanted to finish up and read the book)
Tumblr media
The Cover
World Champions is another Big Bang fic, and once again I based some of my design choices off of the accompanying artwork. The dominant colours of Blurb_brain's illustration are red and blue-green.
COVER PAPER: For the decorative cover material I used NASA's ASTER image of Poyang Lake. NASA has some really interesting photography some of which remind me of marbled paper, thought it could be interesting. I chose this image of Poyang Lake because 1) it's in China, 2) the colours were similar to Blurb's awesome illustration (fate strikes again, dropping matching images and artwork into my lap!), and 3) NASA is tangentially relevant to the fic, which takes place in space.
BOOKCLOTH: Verona bookcloth in the shade Black Pearl, a lovely dark navy blue colour. Thought it suited the cover paper and title page. (Bought it for this fic specifically, but the colour goes well with almost all of my decorative papers so it should see a lot of use in the future!)
Endpapers
The final decision that held this project at a standstill for two months. In the end I drew inspiration from the matchups against the final opponent in the story. The image I used is a little chaotic and a little too unrelated to identify why I picked it without an explanation, but this book is for me and I know why, so there. (Note that I played around with the colours and cropped the photo.)
Endpaper inspiration: the maps for the matches against the Infilhites
"a long bridge through an enormous tube-like hall, where light seem to come from every side through stained glass windows. It was visually confusing, limited lateral motion" "a warehouse, crates stacked on and beside metal racks that went all the way to the ceiling." "a house of mirrors, fully enclosed to be sure the Infhillte couldn’t fly out of it." "like a volcano, rivers of lava moving sluggishly down a slope, occasional vents of overheated air nearby." "a series of overlapping bridges between halls and stairways, level after level layered over an open abyss."
Trimming & Painting the Edges
Going all out, a 2-for1 deal: the opportunity to use my lying press for the first time and learn a new technique!
TRIMMING: Used a paring chisel and lying press.
CHISEL: The 1.25" wide paring chisel I used was form a modern manufacturer. (Vintage paring chisels are very thin, enough so that you can bend/flex the blade. But don't do that.) It's long and wide blade made it easier to register against the surface of the press for consistent cuts. Looks like this one below from Lee Valley.
Tumblr media
LYING PRESS: My dad's project. Solid black walnut, hand carved screws and internal threads — he even made the tools to make the threads too! The jaws of the press are each 3 7/8" wide. It's big and heavy (though much smaller than full-sized professional ones omg), but there's enough of a flat surface to register the chisel against. A thicc boi, much like this one below from Bookbinding Supplies.
Tumblr media
PAINTED EDGES: The idea was to have dark navy edges, speckled with white stars. I used acrylic from a tube to paint the edges — tutorials recommended it over liquid bottled acrylic, and I had an old set hanging around. Had to water it down because otherwise the paint just flaked off.
My test of trimming and painting went well. Then the trimmed book itself came out slightly crooked, the paint required significantly more watering-down than before, and the white paint did not want to be both opaque and speckle-able. Unfortunate, but still book-shaped! And now I have an idea of what to do differently next time.
Also, did not like the glow-in-the-dark paint. Looked too translucent in the light when compared to the white acrylic, and needed a thicker coat to be visible in the dark. (The thickness combined with the translucence and base colour kinda reminded me of boogers... Ended up scrapping most of it off, so there's not much left to glow.)
Endbands
Still in the mood to have fun and go all-out, I attempted double-core endbands for the first time.
TUTORIAL: YouTube @ BookbindersChronicle: Bookbinding 101 Sewing Headbands Session 2. Also watched @ DAS Bookbinding's Double-Core Endband // Adventures in Bookbinding, but I personally found Chronicle's closeup video easier to follow.
I used embroidery floss from a 100pk of assorted colours off Amazon, wrapped around a core of 1.9mm leather cording from Michaels. I drew from Blurb_brain's art for the general colours, choosing a dark base, with red, blue-green, and gold. The specific shades were picked to go with the cover.

Nagi's Payment
Tumblr media
Nagi Seishiro x Reader // Warnings: Mentions of food and eating // Word Count: 800+
Tumblr media
"You are my new pillow."
“Come on! Just this one thing, and then we can go back to playing games,” you say as you tug your boyfriend’s hand through the crowd. Not that it was very easy; this boy was 190 cm and solid muscle. There was a seasonal drink that you had been dying to taste, and it was always sold out whenever you went to get it. Today, you were on a mission! You will have your taste of the ‘Sugar Cookie Gingerbread Caramel Crumble Oreo latte’! You had finally managed to get Nagi away from his game console long enough to convince him to come with you. And after all the work it took to get him here, you deserved that damn drink!
“Why couldn’t you just order it for delivery?” Nagi says as he sluggishly flows you. Finally, moving on his own will giving you a much-needed break from your impromptu tugging workout. You opt to link your arm to him and lean into him a bit.
“Because it costs like twice as much that way! I swear it will that like five min- Damn…” You stopped walking. Unfortunately, you guys had come a little too late. There was a huge line waiting to get into the café.
Eventually, after about 15 minutes of standing in line, a worker announced that they had started a ticket system instead so people wouldn’t have to wait outside. Instead, you would scan a QR code and get a number, and whenever you got a notification, you would come back and be let in. Your mission might still be alive, you could almost taste the overly surgery morsel on your tongue.
This kind of worked out perfectly because you could extend your date. You didn’t really get much time with Nagi as his time was spent between you, soccer, and his Reo. And not to mention sleeping. However, if you did factor in all the naps you two took together, the number of hours you spent together would definitely double. Even so, you would like to have some more memories of dates when both of you were conscious.
You take this chance to walk around the plaza a little. The decorations, for the most part, were pretty muted; the plaza had been strung with lights, and everything looked so warm, even in the winter under all the yellow light.
You guys actually ended up finding a small ramen place just down the block from the café. When you opened the door, your nose was filled with the most delicious smells. You patted your stomach as a small rumble moved through it. “Did you not eat today?” Nagi looked down at you. It took you a second to retrace your day in your head, but you guess in your excitement to go out, you didn’t really have a meal today. Your stomach took its chance to rumble again. This time, Nagi led you to sit and ordered two bowls of ramen.
“I guess not.” You look away, slightly embarrassed at the fact that you were so giddy to go out with Nagi that you didn’t eat. God, you felt like a child.
“You should really take better care of yourself,” you could feel that small smirk in his voice, and that embarrassment left you as quickly as it came. Your nagging words to him were being thrown right back at you. ANYONE but him could tease you about not taking care of themselves. Mr. “too sleepy to eat” did not have a leg to stand on!
You playfully hit him, teasing him about his habits. The conversation over ramen basically consisted of all the shenanigans that had gone down in the blue lock. He may not look like it, but it was very fun to gossip with him. Nagi might not have much beef, but he knows about all of it, You must say you were kind of hooked on the saga of Itoshi Rin vs. Isagi Yoichi. You really could not wait to see one of those games.
After the big dinner, you could see Nagi let out a big yawn as you two started to walk back. As you guys got back, there were still a couple of people in front of you in the queue, so you decided to sit on the benches around the block.
You both start holding hands looking out into the main street that was threaded with lights.
“Thank you for coming with me,” you say, looking over to Nagi only to be met with a poof of white hair on your face.
“MhM” was his only reply.
“SEI! Don't doze off yet! We didn’t even get what we came for yet,” you whine as you try to shake him. All in vain as he grabs your hand only to kiss your palm and set it on his cheek, basically cradling his face on your shoulder.
“You’re my new pillow. I'll take this as my payment for dragging me out.” his words come out clearly even though his eyes refuse to open.
Bing!
“Sei, that's us, come on! You can sleep on me at home!”

Convention Guide: Basic Tabling Gear
September 2023
Whether you’re an artist alley newbie or you’ve been doing the convention circuit for years, putting together your table essentials is a crucial part of selling your wares at events and ensuring your weekend goes smoothly. In this guide, we’re covering the basics of setting up your first ever table.
This list is a non comprehensive assessment of things a tabler might need and should be used as a simple starting point. The four main categories we will cover are:
The Display
Behind the Table
Money
Quality of Life Suggestions
—🐝—
1. The Display
a) Tablecloth
Starting from the base layer, we’ve got tablecloths– an easy way to add some color and personality to your table. Your tablecloth doesn’t even have to be an actual tablecloth! You can use a length of fabric cut from a bolt at your local craft store. Convention tables tend to be 6’ long, so when selecting your fabric, look for measurements longer than 72” (183cm).
Play with color and texture to find something that fits the theme of your work on display. Patterns can be fun, but might distract from your inventory or signage if the colors/design are too bold and busy. Tip: your cloth may get messy from food behind the scenes or dust/dirt if you do outdoor events. Get something that’s easy to wash in your machine!
b) Display supports
Most artists these days use cube organizers that break apart into flat panels and connector joints. They are easy to store when not in use, easy to transport in a suitcase or tote, and you can change the shape depending on your table set up and inventory. Tip: constructing your display to include shelves that face you behind the table helps organize your backstock during the show.
These cubes aren’t your only option. Some people use milk crates, picture frames, wooden boxes, custom built shelves, etc. Consider what works best for you, your aesthetic, and your storage/transportation needs. When in doubt, you can always lay your goods flat on the table.
c) Signage
Having clear signage on your items to denote price helps people feel more comfortable purchasing from your table. Your price markers don’t have to be fancy. Prices written neatly on pieces of paper and paperclipped to your books or taped up next to your stickers is a simple and effective strategy. Some people print out a price list or use a sign board. It’s totally up to you!
Include a sign with your name somewhere in your display, including your social media handle if it is different from your artist name. This will help fans of your work more easily recognize you. Tip: use a QR code prominently displayed on your table that links to your portfolio, linktree, etc.
d) Banner/backdrop
Look out behind you! Whether it’s a banner, a backdrop, or something else, the space behind your seat can be put to use. While it is relatively easy to print custom banners at most print shops, many tablers cite this as an unnecessary expense, especially for first time artist alley participants. If you’d like to hang a collage of your work behind you, look for photography backdrop tripods, which can collapse and fold up neatly. The behind-the-table space is shared with other artists, and it can get cramped. Be mindful of your needs when deciding how to do a backdrop. Some artists opt to exclude a backdrop and just use their cubes to arch over them.
Optional: Decorate your table! Flowers, string lights, plushies, etc. can all bring a special one of a kind experience to your set up.
2. Behind The Table
a) Inventory
Now that we’re behind the table, let’s talk about what’s going on back here. Starting with inventory. If you’re absolutely unsure how much to bring, a good starting number is about 10 of each item. If you sell out, congratulations! You’ll know what to bring more of next time, or you’ll know you should raise your prices. For storing inventory during transportation to the con and while at the show, you might consider simple boxes, an accordion folder, or a portfolio case, depending on what kind of items you’re bringing. Reminder: if you’re using display cubes, structuring them to give you shelves on your side of the table will help you keep things organized.
b) Suitcase/storage tote
Under your feet will be your suitcase/tote box, and perhaps a dolly, if you used one to wheel your boxes into the building. It is recommended that your suitcase/tote has a lock on it, as you’ll be leaving inventory overnight. Hopefully no matter what you use, it has wheels of some kind. All this gear gets heavy. If you are not using a wheeled device, make sure to check your pack’s weight as you assemble your supplies. You will have to carry it from the parking garage or bus stop through the convention center, and back out again at the end of the show.
c) Cover cloth
What else is in that box? Your cover cloth. This one is optional, but some artists like having a lightweight cloth to cover their table when the day is done. Something like a vinyl picnic tablecloth works perfectly. The cover cloth helps prevent anyone from accidentally knocking your things over or having things go missing.
d) Business cards
On your side of the table, you ought to have plenty of back up business cards. You’ll have some of these out on the table for passersby to pick up, but this item is the number one thing you’re going to hand out the most of. It’s always better to have too many rather than too few. For a single three day convention, you might need 200+ cards. Make sure your website/online shop is easy to find on your cards. Cute business cards go a long way to making your table memorable long after the con has ended.
Bonus supplies: Here’s a short list of things you might need throughout the weekend to touch up your display. Keep them in a bag and bring them with you every time you table!
Masking and clear tape
Spare paper for impromptu signage
Sharpies and pens
Zip ties
Scissors
3. Money
a) Card reader
The most commonly used card reader is Square, but there are alternatives. Research their fees and prices to determine what fits your needs. You’ll want to get a hold of a card reader and set up your account well in advance of your show. Card readers require wifi/data to work and will only work in your country of business, so take that into consideration when packing for your show. Most convention halls have wifi (sometimes at a cost), but if your show is outdoors you might be relying on data.
b) Cash/change
Cash is king! Make sure to bring enough cash/change for your show. About $25-50 in small bills is usually enough if you’re also accepting card. At the end of the day, consider tucking your big bills away in a secure location in your hotel room. If something were to happen to your bag, you’ll appreciate not having your entire weekend’s earnings in it!
c) Fanny pack
Keeping your cash attached to you at all times is smart. People often use fanny packs or cross body bags to manage their money.
4. Quality of Life
a) Backup battery
Since you may be using your phone to complete transactions, or maybe you’re drawing on your iPad with time to kill, you’ll want to bring a back up battery. Most tables don’t have access to electricity, so having a battery and charging cables is a good idea.
b) Hand sanitizer & masks
One hand sani pump out front and one behind the table. You’ll be handling money, shaking hands with strangers, and touching surfaces that thousands of people have been touching all day. As long as there have been conventions, there have been con plagues. You don’t want to get knocked out with a cold (or worse) so masking is great!
c) Table buddy
If you’re able to, bring a friend to help you table. Cons will often give tablers 2 passes (one for you and one for a friend). They can help you grab coffee or lunch, get change, package a big purchase, cover you for bathroom breaks, etc. Table buddies are truly the unsung heroes of artist alley.
d) No table buddy? No problem.
Check in with con staff and volunteers. Many comic cons will have a green room for artists to take a snack break and decompress, and con staff will help guide you there. Some conventions also enlist volunteers to help sit your table while you’re away. They’ll make sure your table stays in order, direct people to your business cards, and inform curious patrons when to expect you back.
e) Fun stuff!
There will be plenty of downtime. Con hours are long and often slow in the mornings. Bring something to keep you occupied, but not too engrossed, so you can easily pull away to greet customers and fans. Fidget toys, a puzzle book, knitting or crochet project are all great ideas.
f) Get Comfy, Eat Well, Stay Hydrated
Going from your quiet desk to the high octane energy of artist alley can be a shock to the system. Some items to help reduce the fatigue are: noise canceling headphones during downtime and breaks, sunglasses to combat the fluorescent lights and rest your eyes, slippers or comfy shoes for under the table, and layers of clothing. Convention halls can fluctuate temperatures wildly. With lots of AC during the summer, sweaty crowds, and the flow of traffic to your table, you’ll be working up a sweat fulfilling transactions one second then freezing after sitting still for a minute.
Most importantly, have a small cooler with snacks and drinks. You may not get a break, but it’s important to stay hydrated and energized.
—🐝—
The next time you're at a convention, take note of displays that inspire you. #ArtistAlley and #ConTable tags on Instagram or TikTok can connect you with creators sharing their setups. Your table design is an opportunity to be creative and express yourself, while also learning along the way what works for you. Most tables, however, are built up over several convention seasons of trial and error, so while it’s good to take note of others' displays as a source of inspiration, try to keep your first table relatively simple. The more you table, the more you’ll be able to identify your needs for you and your merchandise.
We’ll close out this blog post with one final suggestion. Big, multi-day conventions can be fun, but they can also be expensive. Your tabling supplies and inventory aside, if you’re doing a show away from home, you’ll contend with table fees (often $250-450 USD), hotel, transportation, meals, etc. And not every convention is a good fit for your wares! Small, local events and art festivals are a great, low stakes, relatively cheap (or free) way to start tabling. Check your area for zine fests, queer makers markets, and craft fairs.
Sound off if there’s anything we missed! Good luck on your tabling adventures.

My goddess, I come to you with a request.
I am tired of having a normal amount of breasts. I wish for multiple pairs, engorged with nurturing milk. I do not care for things like limbs, you may choose to do with those as you will.
I also tire of having a small pussy. I wish for it to be bigger, plumper! And in a similar category, I wish to having large lips, capable of milking even the biggest cocks and pussies!
However, if that is too much, I am also fine with becoming a fountain and statue, in whatever lustful pose and appearance you desire
(I got carried away with the flowery language but it’s fun)
The world has always been a bit dry and disappointing. No matter what you do, you never felt like you were in the right body. No matter who you told, nobody understood your wants, so eventually you just gave up on your ideal form. That was, until you got the flyer in the mail.
“Disappointed about life? Want to experience acceptance and pleasure? Come to our temple and we will treat you however we can!” You scoffed at the flyer at first, writing it off as just some cult or MLM scheme that was trying to entice you, but hey, they had a video link by QR code that might give you a laugh.
You dropped your phone when you saw the videos contents. A girl was looking at the camera, talking about how she always wanted to be a demon girl with red skin and horns. Then, a beautiful woman walks on screen and kisses her deeply. Her skin changes to a deep red as she grows horns and a tail. The beautiful woman then walks up to the camera and says “whoever and whatever you wish to be, I can make it a reality. Come and be accepted for who you are.”
You basically sprinted to your car and punched in the address given by the flyer. Maybe it was an edited video. Maybe it was really well edited. But if they were going to make that claim, wouldn’t it make sense to have some form of proof? You arrive at an ornate temple. It’s strange, you feel like you’ve been on this road many times but never saw it before. It didn’t matter right now. You park and enter the building.
The inside is decorated in blues with ornate carvings. It seems bigger than the outside as you step deeper. Eventually, you come across the woman from the video, wrapped in blue robes and sitting on a throne. She makes out with a woman on her lap. You gasp. The woman is the demon girl from the video, her wings fluttering and tail twisting. She was really changes.
You gasp alerts them to your present and the woman shoos the demon girl away. As she scurries away with a smile, you approach the woman, who smiles at you. “Uhh, hello ma’am. I’m here because of the flyer.”
She nods. “I see, you need a place to feel at home, and maybe more. Rest assured I can deliver.” She leans back in her throne and opens her arms wide. “I am Elira, Goddess of Pleasure. Whatever you desire, I provide. So what is it you wish?”
You shift your feet and look away in embarrassment. Even if this was real, would she accept you? Your desires were… less mainstream than others. Still, what did you have to lose. You steel yourself and look back at Elira. “I want to have more boobs!” Your voice echoes through the halls.
“I want to have boobs all over my body. I want them to be full of milk. And I want thicker lips that anyone can fuck. I want them big enough to milk any cock or pussy I come across. I don’t care if you need to take away my arms and legs if you need, just please give me the body I want! I’ll do anything!”
Silence envelopes you and you blush at your outburst. However, Elira just leans forward, beckoning you closer with one finger. “Then come here dearie.” You walk up to the throne and take her extended hand. She pulls you into her lap, her tits pressing against your shoulder blades. She grabs your chin and guides you to look over your shoulder before slipping her tongue into your mouth.
As you kiss, she trails her hands to the collar of your shirt and tips it open. She tears your bra off as well, groping your now free tits. They begin to swell with milk at her touch, making you moan. You can feel milk trickle from your nipples in seconds. It was great.
She moves her hands further down your body. She starts groping right under your tits, and you feel strange. Some of your skin tightens and becomes more sensitive. Small nubs prick out from the changes skin, and you realize what’s happening. Those are nipples.
The skin area under your skin fills with fat and milk, making another set of breasts that leak milk in the place where your body was groped. This continues, moving down to your abdomen and around to your sides. Milk drips freely from you
“Oh, that’s no good. Your milk shouldn’t go to waste.” She snaps her fingers and some nearby doors open. You watch as a group of worshipers in sheer fabric file out and walk up to you. Each of them plants their mouth on one of your nipples and sucking. You can feel your milk exit your body and enter their mouths as they him in satisfaction. You whine in pleasure as your needy nipples are teased, sucked, and bitten.
You can feel your lips expand as Elira kisses you. They get plumper and puffier than anything you imagined. They feel wet, as though they are covered in a layer of lube. Maybe an aphrodisiac too, since you can feel yourself getting hornier as you lick them.
Elira pulls away and smiles at you. “You mentioned giving up your limbs. It’s not necessary, but if you would rather only be a set of fuckholes and tits with no arms and legs, I can make that happen. I’ll allow you to float around around our halls so you are never stuck in one place, but you will be grabbed and fucked whenever someone horny comes across you. Would you like that dear?”
You nod, loving the idea of being a living fucktoy. And you’re sure Elira, your Goddess, can return your limbs if you find that you don’t want it anymore, but you might as well try.
You can be anything you want here, so you might as well try out everything you’ve ever fantasized about. As Elira slips off your pants and stuffs her cock into you, your moans echo through the halls of your new home.

No one asked, but here's a vest tour! I've added a bunch since I last talked about it here, so here's the update!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here's the full front and back
Most of this I made myself. The patches were mostly made by hand embroidery (anything machine done was probably given to me as a gift), with the exception of a couple that were just markers on white fabric.
Under the decorative patches is also a layer of random fabric patches, mostly from leftover projects scrap fabric, or old clothes I didn't know what to do with.
There's also some random paint splashes in green and red, and a ton of pop tabs and safety pins thrown around in empty spaces.
The pins I made were made from painted bottle caps, and held on with a pop tab and safety pin combo, with the edges of the bottle cap bent to hold it in place
The vest itself I got from a family member's friend, and said family member didn't want it. So she gave it to me to put patches on. I used it as a formal jacket for a year, but I didn't like how the sleeves felt, so I cut them off and ended up putting patches on it anyway. I've been working on this vest since last January, but many of the patches and stuff were transferred from my old jacket that I have other plans for, but that's for a different post.
Tumblr media
Inside, plus the snack pouch
so much white embroidery floss, I'm surprised I'm still able to scrape up some in my embroidery floss drawer
Tumblr media
Front top left (from the perspective of someone looking at me)
Gay frog pin is the only pin I own I paid for, I found all the rest for free from various events and also the library likes giving people free pins
Tumblr media
Front top right
Got the Vulpix pin from some random lady at the empanada restaurant because she liked my nerdy jacket. A few months ago I reconnected with an old friend, who recognized the art style. So that's kinda neat
Tumblr media
Front bottom left
I used to have the heart/brain patch sewn on an older jacket (that is no longer with us). I am never attempting to stick a needle through that thing again. Easily my most painful patch I own. Also a little keychain ring so I can clip stuff to my vest
Tumblr media
Front bottom right
The worm's name is wormy, named by my friend who loves him. Wormy has been through a lot, and before finding a safe home on my vest, rotated between being a room decoration and a cat toy
The hotelier patch (the house on the pocket) is probably my favorite music based patch I've made. I spent way too much time on it, but I think it turned out nice in the end!
Tumblr media
Back top
the trans flag section in the center is my favorite part. The peace was never an option patch is usually peoples favorite, and I get compliments on it regularly. It's hard to see, but the patch at the bottom left of the flag is the chemical formula for testosterone
Tumblr media
Back bottom left
The QR code is a Rick roll, and also fully functional. When I made it, a picture of it was floating around between my friends between various group chats. I had one friend who tried to go to lengths to avoid getting tricked, until one of his friends sent him the picture, and he actually scanned it before realizing it's the QR code on my back. He was (jokingly) upset at me the next day. I want to make another qr code to a song I like more, but that one took longer than most my other patches do, so I'm not sure it's worth it.
Tumblr media
Back bottom right
The Kos-mos patch (blue haired girl on left) is my favorite non music patch on here. It just feels like one of my most well made patches. Not much to say here, I just like the patch a lot
So yeah, that's my vest. No clue how many patches are actually on this, or how many hours I've put into this thing already, but it's probably a high number whatever it is.
If this gets at least 0.5 notes Ill talk about my other patch stuff, of which I've got a lot of.

The Strange Mixtape by @deadcanons. MCU, 64k, casebound at quarto size. Two copies - one for me, one for the author! Plus a funky slipcase to keep it safe in the mail.
The bookcloth and endpapers I both found while on vacation last month. The cloth reminded me a lot of the Aaron Bachalo run of Strange comics, which the author mentioned in the notes as visual inspiration - and I just thought the endpapers looked funky and chaotic and magical in general. The cutouts on the front and the back have a magic circle and a spiderweb vellum underlay, respectively! I always like using this technique on covers, and it felts especially good here.
The slipcase - pulling it together was tricky enough that I only made one of them, and that one's going to the author. There's so much comics inspiration in this fic that I liked the idea of using comics collages to decorate them. I found some nice free wallpaper online for both Strange and Spidey, and I think it brings the whole thing together. There's a New York skyline on the top, a pair of dangling headphones down the spine, and a functional Spotify code for the overall fic playlist on the bottom.
Typeset in Georgia, with Dr.Charmed used for titles and chapter headers, and OCR A Extended for the song tabs. Every chapter has a corresponding song, which is named and cited at the start, with a QR code and a Spotify link so you can listen along while reading!
I was so delighted with this fic when I first read it that I immediately began typesetting it for binding. That was a few months ago, so pulling it together like this is unimaginably satisfying. It's delightful, punchy, and - most importantly to me - every song on the playlist is an absolute banger. Highly recommend checking it out, and please remember to give the author some love!

When I went to see the Galloway Hoard exhibit in person, I copied the links from the three QR codes and sent them to my family. The general information was on the placards, but 3D models are cool on their own.
The Galloway hoard is a huge find, these items among others were deliberately buried in order to protect them- and then no one went back for them. For over a thousand years, the hoard lay undisturbed until it was discovered by a metal detectorist in 2014.

New Leaf Pro Design QRs - Billter Edition! Codes below.
Let's start with Billy. This takes influence from my personal design of his outfit (sweater collar matches in color, white shirt sleeves at the ends, dark backside with decorative buckle), but surprisingly, all 12 argyle diamonds made it in. Was not expecting that!!
Tumblr media
Next, we'll venture into the submarine in the ocean, where his father Bob is! Funfact, while looking at his sprite, I noticed that Billter didn't remove the black tie.
Tumblr media
So canonically you could say he has both it and the bow (I decided not to). Had to sacrifice one (1) button, but oh well.
Tumblr media
Onto the sailors! I referenced Lithuanian naval uniforms:
Tumblr media
And changed the colors so that it was more like the tones used in the game, producing this look.
Tumblr media
Then realized I fucked up on Gonzalo's and had to change his to reflect his captain status (four 1/2 inch stripes, not two). Accidentally made him a Lieutenant for a hot second, my bad. I also initially tried using the 12 buttons like in the above reference, but it looked too silly and had to downgrade to the 8. And lastly it wouldn't be Gonzalo without his caplet (or are they shoulder pads? Who knows, it is a mystery)!
Tumblr media
Finally, deep in that abyss, is a creachure. Denied!! This one's a lot more cut and dry. My only real comment is that I decided to make the left sleeve more... Tied off? Hard to show with Animal Crossing designs but ah well.
