For all the problems ROTT had with its story and characters, I actually kind of liked Aja’s part in it, however small it was.
She steps in ready to help and, as soon as she realizes what kind of dangers and risks were involved, immediately suggests evacuating earth. Even after being shut down by the others, she has ships readied in case of the worse. She was the only one to even consider the possibility of innocent casualties caused by the titans stomping around or that the plan might fail and doesn’t want to risk lives on any possibility. It really goes to show just how much more mature and responsible she’d become.
She’s a leader, now, with hundreds of thousands of lives (probably more) dependent on her choices and decisions. She had a lot of mess to clean up after the revolution, especially considering her parents very likely burned a lot of bridges with other planets and races with their policy of neutrality. Bridges you know she wanted to fix, personally. Her position’s allowed her to become much more of a practical thinker and I, for one, would love to see so much more of Actual Queen Aja being a diplomat, a negotiator, a delegator, and someone who’s unafraid to make the hard decisions and tough calls while still keeping her compassionate nature.
Throuout the show, while never clearly stated, we see multiple diferent races of Akiridion with diferent sizes, anatomy, colors and all that
So
I got possesed and decided to draw all of them side by side for height comparasion and yes i chouse to leave loth out, fuck him <3
I plan to do more funny little worldbuilding and go into tdetail on every race depicted here- and who knows, maybe some day I'll ad my own custom Akiridion race
(Lesser royals as well as Anemone, an example of a lesser Royal is owned by @helis97)
Aja is a Grey Plate Guardian assigned under the tutelage of Fialkov and Coranda to one day become a defender of lighting and protect the sacred shard of lighting in their possession. She is also paired with Krel, another Guardian.
Aja and Krel’s training is cut short when attack by a Dark Plate by the name of Morando, prompting Fialkov and Coranda to fight Morando to allow Aja and Krel to escape. They give their sacred shard to them before they depart, as well as a note that contains coordinates to where they will be hiding.
As they flee, Aja vows to return and to defeat Morando once and for all.
Time for a bit of lore for context. A Guardian is a being that, as the name implies, acts as a defender of a specific objective. Some protect ancient relics while other make pacts with other beings to protect them.
Aja starts as what’s known as a Grey Plate (essential the most basic form of a guardian, pictured above to the left) and eventually evolved into a lighting guardian (pictured above, to the right) making her mor suited for her duty of protecting the lighting shard
I’ll make a post giving full detail about Guardians soon so be on the look out.
“And I suppose the rest of these humans have been brought in by the Trollhunter? I would have thought you better than this, Vendel. The human Trollhunter cannot be helped, but these others–”
“Are my friends and allies, who are trustworthy and essential to my work,” Jim says, unable to keep himself from glaring.
“A bit impetuous, aren’t we?” she says, frowning.
“I don’t take well to those who insult my tribe,” Jim says, leaning into an angle he knows she’ll understand.
“Oh? Well, at least this human has good enough sense to stand by his tribe. Perhaps he is not as … unfavorable as I had thought.”
“He has proven himself an excellent Trollhunter. He has slain Bular the Butcher and recovered the Killahead Bridge,” Vendel says.

WHEN REQUESTING (More rules will be added later):
●Include the fact whether or not your request is platonic or romantic; If romantic, is Y/n or character in a relationship, and if not, who is the romantic interest(s)?
●Give me some of the plot of what you're thinking for your request. If you don't, and I don't know what you want it to be about, or I can't think of what to make up- Example:
Optimus x Reader. Angst. Reader is male.
I don't know what the plot should be, or what it should involve. Like, if it's good enough that I can think of what it could be, then yeah, sure, but that will be a rare chance with me. But if it's like this- Example:
Aaarrrgghh x Reader. Comfort. Basically, the reader has had a bad day at work/school, and the two of them just cuddle and enjoy the silence in each other's arms, slowly falling asleep.
Then I will be able to think of how it can go because you gave me what you want to include in your request, but now how, I will be able to get behind that.
● I can make the reader be based off of another character, like- Examples:
-Vox! Reader in Trollhunters
-Reader as Ratchet's little sister in Transformers: Generation 1
Anything! Whatever you want as long as it's allowed.
●If your request involves something that isn't allowed, then it will be ignored.
it's kinda funny and kinda sad to watch the 3Below fandom screaming about how the end, with krel staying and aja going, make no sense
like actually it does make sense if you look a lil closer than "Aja liked earth and made friends easily, Krel had no reason to stay"
First of all, Aja starts out reckless and becomes more humble, more cautious, and more strategic- important traits for the ruler of an entire planet. Krel is neither humble nor cautious, and we never see him use much strategic skill. He was right at the beginning of the series: he's not ready to be king yet just because he's more excited about the job than Aja. And I mean, he's really not! He's explicitly scared to be king, he just likes the royal treatment. The difference between the Tarrons is that Aja becomes ready to be Queen despite not wanting to be. Despite his father's assurance he is ready to take on the burden, Krel clearly doesn't feel ready yet.
Second of all, Krel EXPLICITLY makes friends on earth, so the argument he had nothing to stay for at all baffles me. And it's clear he had no friends at all on Akiridion- in There's Something About Gwen of Gorbon he didn't even recognize what friendship was until toby and eli told him yes, we are friends, you gloober- Krel letting go of enough pride to realize he wanted to stay for his friends is an important part of his arc, through the entire second season and, I would argue, the season one finale. He wants to make his mark, but I think what he really wants is recognition and the resultant connections, like how Aja's popularity has brought her friendship.
He trusts humans to help with Varvatos' rescue in Moonlight Run; he starts listening to human ideas in Mother's Day; he begins to consider them friends in TSAGOG; he works with them closely and trusts them and takes them and their silliness more seriously and more in stride in Asteroid Rage. He reassures Toby about the state of ruined Trollmarket without any sort of prompting, showing he clearly cares about him as a friend. By the time we hit his vision in the Deep, where he faces the fact Earth is his home head-on, it's already been made very clear that he has genuine bonds connecting him to Earth that he never had on Akiridion.
If anything I think Eli's and Steve's places should have been reversed. That way, Eli could have gotten more focus and development in Wizards, Krel would have more obvious ties to Earth, and Steve's arc could have built on its existing foundations offscreen- and he could have kept growing alongside Aja. I would have loved to see Eli coming into his own in Camelot.
I was listening to "Once Upon a December" back in August 2021 and thinking about the fact that Douxie's canonically a con artist so...
Anastasia AU where the coup happens while the Tarron twins are 8. Their parents are killed, but the twins escape the initial carnage. However, they're separated at the last moment. Aja is raised by the resistance burdened by responsibility and grief, while an amnesiac Krel grows up at an orphanage.
Ten years later on the twins' birthday, Aja is finally coronated as the true queen, even though it's really just a figurehead position and her true power is in the military strategy and diplomacy she's been learning since her childhood. Having not yet given up on seeing her brother again, she puts out a reward for if anyone finds Krel and brings him to her
(To actually make the AU work, let's just say that 1. either Akiridon royals only have two arms or just all the Akiridions are human 2. Krel's a rather common name for boys his age since it's pretty impossible to shorten it any more, unlike how Anastasia could be shortened to Anya... or maybe (2023 me thinks) I could instead make it so that Krel is not his full name but the nickname his sister called him)
Krel spends his 18th birthday officially moving all his things (which is to say, not much aside from two changes of clothes, a wrench, a screwdriver, maybe a serrator, and a trinket or two from his family) into the apartment he shares w/his boyfriend+his boyfriend's familiar and telling his boss at the factory that he's changed his living address. (Douxie and Krel grew up together at the orphanage, though Douxie got kicked out first since he was both a couple years older as well as a thief). Making ends meet is a little tough even between him and Douxie working multiple jobs, playing music on street corners, and Douxie's less-than-legal schemes, but it's a life Krel's mostly happy with. Or at least, he is until Douxie comes in with the recent (not really bc Morando has censors) news about Aja's search for her brother and a new scheme: they pass off Krel as the Lost Tarron Prince and then make away with the money
