Came across this post earlier that was a headcannon about the jedi just kind.. picking up younglings and going around doing important jedi things with a child on their shoulder.

I couldnt help thinking of the absolute fucking unit that is jaro tapal picking up teeny tiny little baby cal and just keeping him on his shoulder like a little ginger parrot. That image is so very funny and cute to me. I'm gonna explode.

I would hate to be in the hunger games, obviously for the normal reasons like the murder and having to survive but I also talk to myself way to much and with my adhd I just know that I would forget about the cameras. god that would be so embarrassing, forget winning and shit I'd just let myself die.

how would girl leon and matthew react to their children getting into hockey? are they scared and fearful that they might subconsciously forced it upon them? do they let the kids go under fake last names to avoid any pressure? are any of the kids as talented as their parents? i am perchance a little too invested

i have been contemplating this for [redacted] days and personally i think they would be very excited (while desperately trying to like. be Chill Sports Parents and not being very good at it, because they are too inherently invested). the thing is that both leon and matthew love hockey even if hockey is not always the most forward-thinking of places; it's the soup that they swim in! and my little thought is that leon would be working hard in her own way to leave the league better than she found it re: as a place for girls to be into hockey. so they aren't so much scared of having their kids follow their career path as trying to be encouraging and somewhat realistic.

in my head they have two rat kids; obvi ratbaby the first is the one they put in the cup (essential! canonical!) and i think she is the one who is ultimately their sports baby. very active, very energetic, deeply competitive (a draisaitl-tkachuk is going to be competitive, but she takes it to the nth degree). she's the one who ultimately goes into hockey all the way. she definitely keeps her names (the tkachuks are a very pr-aware family, i think they'd have a pretty good shot at spinning things the way they want things to be spun) and when she scores her first goal she gives the puck to her mom and they both don't Cry but look very Wet around the eyes.

ratbaby the second is a few years younger and was born after they retire. he is the chillest cousin of the entire tkachuk clan. he plays some sport that no one can figure out how he got into it, like ultimate, in college, and has a fun time, and then has a super normie career. however, he still will be a good sport at the family pickup games, because them's the breaks.

aw i would have thought roadhog/junkrat would have been right up your alley, best friends and chaotic and funny. wym by not liking people who like it?

im just a wuss abt age gaps bruv and raodrat pushes that to the extreme… i find the fact that hog is almost twice junkrs age mad skeevy like he could easily be junks dad the age gap is THAT big. it just weirds me personally out! i much prefer to read their relationship as like… older gay man “adopts” stupid ratbaby. i find that a lot funnier.

i dont think its inherently problematic or nothin but like… most of the fanbase has (or had, its admittedly been a year since i was involved heavily w ovw fanbase) this really awful habit of going “oh you dont like raodrat? you hate gay men and trans people and the mentally ill and fat people and poc? die.” its mad off putting. also the way most of em treat hog is appalling! hes just a nice man be kind to him.

🐀🐀CLONE WARS RANT INCOMING🐀🐀

Ok so im rewatching the mortis arc for the 5 millionth time and I'm at the part in alter of mortis where ahsoka is possessed by the son and talking to anakin. It got me thinking about the real meaning behind the things she's saying, and I dont know if this is a common theory (I haven't seen anyone else mention it so tell me if it is) but I don't think the things she's saying here are really her sentiments about him as a master, I think this part has more to do with anakins master and padawan relationship with obiwan more than anything, allow me to explain. What really caught my attention this time around was her saying the line-

-"always with the criticism, master."

Now say what you will about anakin as a master (in my opinion I think anakin was actually a very capable master when ahsoka was concerned) but one thing I wouldn't really call him is overly critical, he's actually generally very supportive of ahsoka, even when she makes mistakes he relates it to his time as a padawan more often than not (a good example being in the season one episode storm over ryloth). But if you recall attack of the clones, we see throughout the whole movie anakin and his frustration with obiwan and his constant criticism. We know that anakin saw obiwan as an overly critical master because he kinda mentions it. a lot.

I think what's happening in this scene is the son is obviously trying to manipulate anakin, using his insecurities from when he was a padawan and in his relationship with obiwan to put a wedge between him and ahsoka while also reopening that old wound effectively putting that same wedge between him and obiwan so he can separate them and have anakin to himself, cause as we are shown quite a few times the only thing really keeping anakin from the darkside at this point is the presence and trust of his loved ones, whether that fact is healthy or not.

Got to the episode where we see maul again. Deeply unsettled by spider-maul, was yet again not prepared for it, dont think I ever will be. aside from the fuckery I'm enduring I do have a question. Now, I can understand the spider legs, it's a little weird but the functionality is there, what I don't understand is the need for the spider ass? Like, this is mechanical, no? This isn't a real spider he's attached himself to, so what the fuck does he need the spider ass for? I hate the spider ass and I want it gone right now!!

I fully believe that cal kestis is working with the rebellion during the same time as Luke and they just never fucking meet. Allow me to elaborate.

Like no one ever bothers introducing them cause cal is probably really busy at this point doing jedi stuff so they don't want to bother him with some newby pilot from butt fuck nowhere, who yes delivers the killing blow to the deathstar but he's still just some guy. Cal would definitely hear about this but the deathstar is destroyed and he's gonna be even busier so congratulating this strange pilot will have to wait for later.

By the time Luke actually becomes a jedi cal knows his last name and is like "cool a new jedi but also I'm stearing clear of the skywalkers for as long as possible". every jedi during the clone wars knew who anakin was and if you've seen clone wars you know he's a major pain in the ass so like no offense to Luke but cal is gonna stay elsewhere.

In my mind Luke has no idea cal exists, not because he hasn't heard stories about him, my boy is just a little bit dense so he never connects that these stories are about the same person nor that that one person is a trained jedi who is specifically staying away from him.

Like we already know that Luke isn't the only jedi during this time so the idea is not only funny but also completely plausible.

Just finished fallen order for the thousandth time, so of course I'm gonna be thinking about trilla's "avenge us" for the next forever.

No cause that little phrase lives in my head absolutely rent free, I never stop thinking about it. Her last words are a call to action. the use of "us", it's not just for her, its for every single jedi that the empire murdered or broke down or turned to the darkside, for every inquisitor still stuck serving the empire, for every jedi currently on the run or in hiding. The acceptance in her voice as she says it, cause she knows who's behind her and she knows she's not getting out of there alive so she might as well have the last word, a small act of defiance to end her story. It's such a simple phrase but it hits me like a fuckin truck every time.

Anyway, cant wait to play cal fucking up the empire in the next game never been more excited in me life.

Also, fuck the empire. But that should go without saying.

Finally finished clone wars for the first time and I am NOT ok. Feel like my heart has been ripped from my chest and stabbed by a thousand knives. Gonna cry forever about this methinks. Currently feel like screaming and sobbing. I also watched rots just before siege of mandolore for double the heartbreak and anguish, if you ever wanna feel like a shell of a person I truly highly recommend. Just to be clear I'm already planning on rewatching right away cause I'm a stupid dumb idiot who apparently likes putting myself through hell over and over again. If I sound like I'm being dramatic it's cause I am, but seriously I am in so so so much pain this actually might be what kills me. Maybe this next rewatch will hurt less (it will not).

Currently rewatching the umbara arc and I'm yet again reminded of how much I fucking hate pong krell. The only person in the star wars universe I have ever wanted to punch more than krell is Palpatine and he's literally an evil sith lord dictator, so congrats to filoni for making the second most irritating peice of shit in star wars, truly a feat yet to be matched.

I'm convinced that a large portion of supposed star wars fans go deaf and blind everytime they consume a piece of star wars media. Like did we watch the same thing? or have they been using it like one of those baby sensory videos and zoning out to the pretty lights and I just wasn't aware of its intended purpose.

I dont currently feel like giving context to this post (ill most likely rant in the tags) but just know that I saw more anti jedi bullshit and I'm filled with a very special sort of rage. Need people to pick up some media literacy or I'm gonna spontaneously combust.
