I watched Santa Jaws and it was everything I hoped it would be. A new Christmas classic!

Santa Jaws (2018)
Go watch it.
I'm not saying this movie is good. But here's the thing. I selected this movie to watch today expecting it to be absolutely terrible. I put on terrible movies in the background all the time.
I could not believe the quality of this movie.
Listen. This movie has a budget of two dollars. The effects are bad. Laughably bad. I laughed at them.
But outside of that?
I did not expect a movie called SANTA JAWS which yes involves a CHRISTMAS THEMED KILLER SHARK to have good lighting, good sound, good cinematography, solid acting, coherent story without any major plot holes, an actual christmassy vibe, and doesn't even resort to fart jokes or egregious misogyny???
In all seriousness my ONE real criticism is that in that one scene those two dudes should have kissed, the sexual tension was there, if you watch it you'll know what I mean.
I'm just astounded at the level of competence in this movie. Even as goofy as some of the deaths are (and as poorly done, see two dollar budget) all of the actors were all in on it. No one was phoning it in. This movie has no right being as good as it is.
And no one is talking about it! I've never heard of this movie before today, when I was just shuffling through horror movies on streaming!
This movie has better lighting and direction than some things I've seen in theaters, I am not joking. The editing is great. Whoever storyboarded this knew what they were doing.
If you like B movies, please give it a shot!

spooky tuesday is a (now not so new!) podcast where we’re breaking down all of our favorite slashers, thrillers, monster movies and black comedies on the new scariest day of the week.
chelsea may be our resident sharky tuesweek enthusiast, but when it comes to getting in the holiday spirit, sydney was the one bringing santa jaws (2018) to the table. on our latest episode of spooky tuesday, we picked a christmas flick that takes a more, uh, creative approach to celebrating the season. combining the monster movie genre with a magical object moment, this female-directed film dares to ask the question, “what happens when you give a great white a love of both christmas ornaments and feasting on human flesh?”
give spooky tuesday a listen on apple podcasts, spotify, iheart radio, or stitcher

I used to do this thing on Twitter where I would make a thread of videos on my YouTube channel that are one view away from a round number.
BlueSky doesn't make doing it easy, and Twitter likes to hide promotional tweets, so I'm going to try doing this here. Wish me luck.
Though not as a thread, obviously, just one post.
Anyway...
First up, from Season 2, it's the episode on the movie The Beach Girls. Spoiler Alert: This movie SUUUUUUUCKS.
Next, from Season 3, we have Blood of Dracula's Castle, which, if I remember right, contain possibly the lamest Dracula in cinema history. Pretty sure Donald Trump could whoop this guy's ass.
After that we have another Season 3 three movie, the least vampirey movie in a DVD set titled The Vampire Collection, and also a confusing mess, The Witches Mountain. Or The Witch's Mountain, no one seems to be in agreement on which. Er, pun not originally intended.
We move on to Season 4, and Season 4's best movie, the directorial debut of Dolph Lundgren, The Killing Machine (a.k.a. Icarus).
We jump past Season 5 into Season 6 with a movie that was never going to be good good, but couldn't even manage to be bad good. It was, in fact, boring. Santa Jaws, everyone.
Stepping out my main show for this one, we have one of my Tier Ranking videos, this one for the romance options of the Mass Effect Trilogy. #ShaynorIsLife
And another Tier Ranking video, the pre-Snyder Batman theatrical movies. I stand by my rankings here.
We now return to my main show for that time Robert Davi was cast as Merlin. This was a thing that was allowed to happen.
Oh hey, one of my Let's Try videos. This one was for the limited edition Coca-Cola flavor, Dreamworld.
We go from there to Season 8 of the main show, the season where I subjected myself to 4 Hallmark Channel Christmas movies. And this one was the worst of the lot, despite probably straying the furthest from the forumla; Christmas By The Book.
And we close out our post with my most recent Coca-Cola flavor video, Ultimate. However I can only post a link to that one since I hit the 10 video per post limit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3Sg0VjgnQs
