Kurt Cobain // Nirvana // 1992
" Kurt, who probably really is 24, is very cute, with incredibly blue eyes which are set off nicely by his pink streaked hair. He's wearing disintigrating jeans and a cardigan over an ancient Flipper (the band, not the TV show) t-shirt. His black sneakers have holes in them. "He's got the number-one record," says Courtney, in her scratchy voice, "and he only has one pair of shoes."

Jessica Biel for Sassy Magazine - December 1996
Born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, cover girl Jessica Biel's been putting for the camera since she was a little kid, so now that she's 14, she's an old pro. In fact, she's got so much modeling under the belt, she's making the obvious transition to acting without breaking a sweat. I know I'm young to be working away from home, but when I told my parents I wanted to do this acting thing, they said OK, so I was like, 'Yeah! Let's go!'" Jessica says. "I just got lucky when I auditioned for 7th Heaven." Schyeah! Try way lucky. Jessica had virtually no experience before scoring the role of Mary Camden on Spelling lastest TV dabble.
"She's a gook- character," Jessica says. "I don't think she’s that different from me, except that I play soccer, not basketball, and she's preoccupied with kissing a boy!" Not bad for first gig, and fortune continues to smile on Jessica, who's just made the leap to the big screen. Her first feature film, Ulee’s Gold, may not be the next Clueless, but Jessica racking up resume points. "I'm not sure if I even want to be a movie star," she says thoughtfully. She's not sure, but with that face, it may not be up to her - by Jo Bryson
