#seems like something Celia would do

So how do markings from Embleos supposed to work? The shapes they take on as soon as it’s embedded into the skin (or in Celia’s case whatever happened to it to go into her right eye) are too specific to be called random, so they’re probably formed as a sort of “this is what you represent on a symbolic level” or “this is where the strength of your abilities comes from” or even “this is the shape you personally chose to have”.
Those first two statements seem more likely as pretty much everyone’s tats have recognizable shapes a’la Yelsy’s is a flower on her chest, Celia’s is a crosshair, Lisette’s appears to be a wasp of some sort (?) on her thigh, Hugo’s is a wing on his back, etc. But then you have something like Leo’s, which doesn’t bring to mind any specific shape other than it runs up his right arm in an X pattern (although my other thought was that it reminds me of blood), Michelle’s is...I don’t know what it is except it’s two crescents that almost form a question mark (or moons?) and a teeny-tiny cross on the lower crescent (and it’s anyone guess what that’s supposed to mean for her if we go by the first statement, but for it to be right by her carotid pulse a’la her neck possibly indicates it represents life/death if we go by the second statement), and who knows what Lucien’s is supposed to be because AFAIK we never see it but it’s on his chest and he’s clearly not compatible with it.
OTOH there’s also the possibility that the Primordials might have something to do with Embleos - and Reactors, because the Empire has to be getting all that mana somewhere to be manufacturing them, but this post isn’t about them - or deciding who gets their boon(s) (therefore throwing all but the first statement out the window by bringing in a fourth statement “this is what you represent on a symbolic level because we believe this is what you are deep down/your truest self”) because, while I don’t know about the rest of Blaze (beyond Yelsy being the only person to permanently see Toto), Celia choosing/having the Embleo in her eye and Origin a’la King of the Beasts a’la GOD having God’s Eye AKA the gift of clairvoyance, can’t just be a coincidence and should be setting off alarm bells because there is no way in hell the Federation’s upper echelons aren’t going to hear about some random sixteen-year-old girl that placed second to dead last in the elite knight academy while having the foresight of the leader of the Primordial Beasts that’s sleeping (dead?) in stone and not overlook her.
#tales of luminaria#like something's going on in the federation for them to allow leo and hugo to join blaze despite failing the exams#and for an outside party to look at celia & go 'this girl doesn't have any powers' despite her having an embleo#and considers her a candidate - for what it's anyone's guess#i was thinking 'well maybe he's looking for someone to replace vicar kanon'#except the vicar is a young woman so it can't be age-related & she doesn't seem to suffer from any sicknesses#so my only other guess is either she's a possible candidate for whoever the observer answers to or something else entirely#also it should be notd that not everyone who gets an embleo receives a tat#but i always found it odd in a cast of 21 celia's the only one among the jerle faction to not have a tat#like you'd think she'd have the marks form around her eye - except that doesn't happen#would it even be possible for marks to form on a body part away from the embleo?#unless the crosshair is supposed to be considered the mark in her eye#but that's green and not black like the other tats#so where does that leave the actual physical embleo? did it just straight up dissolve?#all the other embleos have skin & muscle to embed into but an eyeball's an organ#so unless that thing evaporated i better hope aedis has anesthesia & they put celia under before the embleo was put in place#that's another thing: i actually thought she lost that eye or was born w/ heterochromia#but then you see her as a little kid and that's not the case - she had two yellow eyes#no one else's embleos causes changes to their bodies besides performing mystic artes#and someone like michelle was already doing that before she got her embleo#so what turned celia's eye blue?#you mean to tell me leo & hugo didn't notice the difference & go 'hey celia check it out your eyes are different colors now'?#no one started asking any questions? b/c i don't see anybody else w/ complete heterochromia#i'm just going to see the 'despite not having any powers' comment is code for 'this girl's not showing any signs of being an aberration'#b/c the observer clearly has an embleo - the game's just being discreet about it#otherwise why else would he show such clinical interest in celia that they were inevitably going to meet up?#also this was supposed to be a gen post on embleos but my celia favoritism shoved its way through & i ain't hiding it lol

Lmaooo I am filling up your requests but another one for our boy could be Cecile getting a boyfriend but she’s scared to tell her dads and doesn’t know how they would react so she talks to uncle Carlos or pierrre or seb for advice
Young Love
Our Boy Masterlist
Rating: PG
Words: 1.2K
Warnings: Overprotective dads
Cécile is 17, Elijah is 21, Diego and Rafael are 19 (Carlos’s twin boys)
Face claim for Cécile is Laura Celia
Synopsis: It’s a family vacation and your Pa and Dad have your uncles and friends all here, but Cécile is missing the one person she wants there, but how does she introduce her boyfriend to her parents?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Will you stop pouting? Come and swim with us. The water is great." Pulling up her sunglasses, she stares at Diego, one of Uncle Carlos's twins. "Go away, Diego. I want to read." Diego scuffs at Cecile. The girl has been in a mood since they left, and no one could figure it out.
"Enjoy your," He pauses, reading the article in her hand. "Advanced Modeling and Stimulation in Engineering Sciences." Making a face, he shakes his head. "Nerd." Cecile takes the magazine and smacks him hard, causing him to yelp.
"Diego!" The deep voice of Uncle Carlos has Cecile turning, smiling innocently at him. "She started it!" He whines, but Carlos's wife turns, glaring at her son, which has him bolting off. "Ma petite fille?" Sighing, Cecile looks up at her Papa. Still, the man has never heard of sunscreen, chest already bright red.
"Is something bothering you?" Charles sits down on the recliner next to hers. "No, I'm just not in the mood." Sliding her sunglasses back on, Charles sighs. Ever since Cecile turned 14, she drifted away from Charles and Lando. You explained it was normal and let her work it out, but Charles hated that his little girl couldn't talk to him.
Hand reaching out, he touches her dirty blonde hair. Pulling away, she glares at her father; dropping his hand, he apologizes. "If," "I'm fine, Papa, please just leave me alone." Charles walks back up the sand seeing the look of understanding from Lando and disappointment from you. "I'll talk to her." Lando grabs your arm, stopping you. "Don't. We shouldn't push her. When she wants to talk to us, she will." You hated this. You went through this once with Elijah.
Cecile seemed to be having an internal argument, which she refused to share with either of you. "What," You clear your throat finding the words, "What if this is like Elijah all over again?" Lando's grip slips, and he looks away, watching his boy play football with Carlos's twins. "It's not." Carlos pipes up, biting into some watermelon.
"And how do you know this?" Carlos shrugs, not wanting to voice more thoughts. Carlos knew that look in his niece's eyes. That was a look of heartache. That or she really didn't want to be here. He's hoping for the latter. "What happened with Elijah was your own doing, Y/n. Besides, Cecile isn't one to hold in her opinions." Wiping his hands, he stands. "She'll come to one us; we have to wait."
Walking down the sand, Carlos takes his place next to Cecile. He says nothing as he lays out in the sun. Neither of them says anything, but Carlos can tell she has something to voice. Her eyes keep drifting to her Uncle, opening her mouth slightly to express it, but she closes it and returns to her journal.
"Uncle," Carlos turns his head, pulls down his sunglasses, and takes Cecile. She was the perfect mix of her father and mother. From the eyes to the way her mouth forms when she smiles. "I have a friend, a guy friend, and I wanted to invite him, but I was worried what Papa and Daddy would say." Biting her lip, she casts her eyes toward her parents, laughing as they set up lunch.
"Well, their first question would be if we know this guy 'friend'." Carlos hates this conversation. He knew what she meant, and to see the little girl who used to follow him around now fully grown. "Yes," She draws it out, Carlos quirking up an eyebrow without saying it; he wants more. "It's Beau," Carlos smirks, unable to hide this reaction. Groaning, she buries her face into her hands.
"Beau? As in, the boy you've had a crush on? The same boy who is your father's best friend, son?" Cecile whines into her hands and looks up fast. "I wanted to invite him, but I couldn't because everyone would see that we're dating, and I really like him." She blubbers, discarding her article. "Cecile, you could've easily invited him. Charles would've never thought much of it. Are you happy?" Blushing, she nods her head.
Carlos can't help but feel joy. The girl with the iron glare and walls made of steel was blushing. "Just tell them you don't have to tell them who, but talk to them." Carlos stands, kisses her head, and walks back up. Taking a few deep breaths, Cecile gathers her courage and storms to the table.
"Daddy, Papa. I have a boyfriend." Silence falls at the table. Elijah snorts while Diego and Rafael stare open-mouthed. "Close your mouths." Their mother smacks both their heads, quickly looking away. "No, you don't." It's quick from Lando shaking his head as he stands. "Nope, no. You're 17. You can't date." Cecile watches as her Dad keeps mumbling.
"Who is it?" Turning, she looked at her Papa, eyes calm, but he was a silent storm. One you only knew was there when it was too late. "It's Beau." Elijah spits out his drink, the twins yelling as they dodge the spray. "My best friend Beau?!" The twins make a sound of protest, but Elijah waves them off. "Pierre's son? He's 19. Too old." Looking at her Dad, Cecile just smirks.
"Daddy, isn't Mama older than you? Papa is, too; doesn't that mean you shouldn't be married to them?" Her voice was sickly sweet; you couldn't help but be proud of your little girl. She certainly knew how to shut a man up. "That is," "Lando, sit down. She won that one." Patting your husband on the back, he sinks into the chair. "When did this start?" Charles keeps calm, returning over every time Beau is at the house alone with Cecile. That wouldn't happen again anytime soon.
"3 months ago." Charles's eyes narrow. He remembers precisely why Beau was over. It was their anniversary, taking Lando and you to Croatia to get away from your 3 children. Beau, the twins, and the other kids gathered at your house. He's going to rip Pierre and Beau to shreds. "So, you two got together while we were out of the country? I suggest you choose your next words carefully." Charles warns voice clipped with anger.
"Papa, don't you dare suggest that. Beau isn't like that, and if you think for a second, I'd," She growls out in frustration pulling her hair. "Beau and I haven't had sex yet, okay!" Everyone at the table makes a sound. The boys groan in disgust while your Uncle and parents cringe at Cecil's words. "Cecile, I'm not saying you should tell me that," Charles sighs, trying to figure his way around this.
"You're my baby girl, and I want to always see you as my baby. But I can't. You're almost an adult; I don't like that you're growing up, but if Beau is good to you. Then I won't be ripping his dick off yet." Charles warns, kissing her forehead. "Daddy?" Lando huffs, looking at his daughter. "Your Papa is right, but I'm kicking Pierre's ass for not keeping his son on a leash." Giggling, Cecile tackles them in a hug kissing their cheeks. She runs off, going to call Beau.
"I miss her heartless bitch era," Elijah whispers. The guys chuckle. "Hey Lando, she looks like you after Y/n kissed you for the first time." Grabbing a plastic cup, Lando whirls it right past Carlos's head. "Fuck off." "Fuck off!" All the adults turn, completely forgetting about Callum at the end of the table. "Great, our 4-year-old has learned a new word. Nice job." Charles claps his husband on the back, going to deal with the little one repeating fuck off to everyone.

Look, I would love to believe that Gerry is having a perfect time in an alternate universe, but I can’t. Something is up. Note: I’m using some info from the arg spreadsheet for this.
Cw for unethical psychology experiments and harm to children.
He claims to have been too young to remember, but according to the spreadsheet he is two years older than Sam. Of course they probably weren’t tested at the same time, but his development level indicates he was school-aged.
He says he just remembers filling out forms and answering questions. The spreadsheet indicates that they put the kids through the Milgram experiment (you know, the giving electric shocks to people one)
He is happy to invite strangers in first thing in the morning and offer them anything- food, a large painting, etc. This goes beyond typical hospitality/generosity.
He even thinks the landlord is lovely. And yes I think this is a hint considering TMA’s politics.
Gerry immediately considers strangers old friends.
I may be reading the spreadsheet wrong because it is ambiguous. But if I am correct, when tested Gerry was ranked very prosocial, but also wasn’t compliant with the Milgram test or a test of social conformity (the one where a bunch of people lie about the length of a line to see if the person being tested will agree with something obviously wrong). The Gerry we met seems very compliant.
Gertrude is eager to get rid of Sam and Celia, which is completely understandable, but I think there is more to it. She knows something and wants this away from Gerry.
The little “I like them” “of course you do” exchange. It isn’t much on it’s own, but altogether…I don’t think Gerry has a choice. Not in liking them or being generous. I think Gerry was so close to being what they wanted, but he wouldn’t comply with some things, so they…somehow made him compliant.
According to the spreadsheet, Gerry had the second highest empathy index. The only individual higher was Sam. And I think we can assume Sam’s results are significant, considering he is a main character. Sam’s results were similar to Gerry’s in almost every way…except that Sam was given opposite results in the social conformity and obedience measures. In general, as empathy, moral development, and prosocial behavior increased in the kids, milgram and asch scores were lower, which is why I believe low=not going along with them.
So, the institute was looking for kids who were highly empathetic but also easy to control. Until they found Sam, Gerry was the closest, so they tried to control him. And ended up damaging him badly and messing with his memory of what happened.

I'm sorry but at this point how can anyone honestly think "Chester" is trying to warn Sam away from the Magnus Institute? The red canary case did seen like a warning on a surface level but it was also the thing that got him looking into the institute in the first place. I think someone or something knew enough about Sam to know he would immediately start looking into the Magnus Institute if it just happened to come up on his first day working in the creepy story mines.
It also, for the record, knew enough about Gwen to send her exactly the piece of info she needed so go after Lena. And knew enough about Lena to send the exact thing that would get her to promote Gwen.
It knew Colin was the only person who knew they are being listened to. It knew enough about Colin to know that he was the one person who might know enough about the program to pose a threat. And it knew how to push his buttons to drive him to the point where he would be forced to leave.
It even seemed to know which voice would unnerve Celia the most. And possibly gave a statement connected to her background/ origins in this universe. This probably made her more open to looking into things with Sam, further egging on his search.
Something is continuing to feed Sam tidbits about the Institute. It's stringing him along and pulling him in. When he was ready to give it up, here comes "Chester" unprompted with a new Magnus institute related case. And now guess who's GOING TO THE DAMN BURNED DOWN RUINS!? these are not warnings, they are deliberate bread crumbs leading Sam exactly where someone wants him to be.
Meanwhile everyone else is being fucked with to some degree, with the exception of Alice. Although her "I do not see it" powers might make her immune.
None of this is an accident! Strings are being pulled! We just don't know why or by who. Are the Archives Boys really in the computer and trying to lead Sam to the Institute for some unknown reason? Is there perhaps some other, possibly malevolent force that's stolen their voices and memories and is using them to draw Sam in for its own unsavory purposes? Only time will tell!
All I know is, the only one trying to warn Sam about anything is Alice and he has for the most part not been listening.

TMAGP Theory Board (S1 EP 7)
Dang that episode was a RIDE Hope everyone had a relaxing week because after the newest protocol episode I am screaming!! so lets get right to it
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What Happened in Episode 7: Give and Take
Tumblr media
Celia seems to know something about the powers with her references to the buried and the flesh in the opening conversation with Alice
Celia recognizes Chester's voice!! since the introduction of Celia's last episode, I wanted to see how she would react to hearing Chester and Norris and we got that in this episode. It's safe to say that Celia recognized Chester's voice as Jon. This piece of evidence makes me almost 100% sure that this Celia is the same Celia/Lynne from Archives
Tumblr media
Jon is Back!!! after Chester's statement (more on that later) we learn that Sam has been getting emails from someone named Jon. He also mentions it in an internal email. This helps support the theory that Jon and Chester/FR3-d1 are fused somehow which is what I (and a lot of the fandom) have been thinking. This leaves me with a lot of questions how else can Jon communicate through FR3-d1 with the outside world? Are Martin and Jonah sentient as well? Also, my big question is if this is the first time Jon has been able to signal to the OIAR Staff or if he has been trying to get them to listen since he manifested in the world and Sam was the first one to notice him or is this his first attempt to make contact. I'm interested to learn more about how Jon will continue to influence Sam. I think he's either trying to warn Sam about the OIAR's true intention or is he looking for some way to escape FR3-d1 and needs Sam's help.
Tumblr media
This week's statement involved a place called Hilltop Centre branch of the Oxford people's trust. if you were like me and my roommate all your lore alert bells started ringing the moment Hilltop was mentioned. for people who are new to the Magnus Universe Hilltop Road is a major location for avatars (usually web-aligned ones) and also was the childhood home to the desolation avatar Agnes Montague. Hilltop is a big deal in TMA. Hilltop Centre being located in Oxford also lines up nicely with where we know Hilltop Road is located. I'm interested to know if we will hear anything about the house at 105 Hilltop Road being student housing because if that is true then we can connect the statement giver Anya Villette From MAG 114 to being from protocol's world. if that's true there could be a way to get to the Archive Universe through the gap in reality (a wormhole that exists where the house was built) Anyways definitely will have to listen for any more mention of a place called Hilltop in Oxford
Tumblr media
Gwen was promoted by Lena to external liaison and is officially "In" It's time to learn the OIAR's secrets! after doing some research into the job title of external liaison it seems that Gwen is almost gonna be acting as a messenger between the OIAR and another party which is unclear at this time. my guess is it has something to do with Starkwell which was the private military contractor that was mentioned in Episode 4 but that's just a guess and me trying to fit in pieces that have not found a snug place in the lore yet. could be someone else (I'd love to hear your thoughts)
Remember our Buddy Klaus from Episode 4 who we thought was killed by Lena? turns out Klaus is still alive we learn through Gwen and Lena's conversation, that Lena was paid by someone to kill Klaus but failed.
Colin is more paranoid than ever! could be because of the eye or the institute but he does not want to be near technology right now.
Ooh boy that was a lot I'm still reeling from this episode so I'll leave it there for now. honesty I'm most stoked to hear Jon's back in the story and excited to see what role he'll play in Protocol.
Hope you guys have a wonderful week ask box and comments are always open and I'll be back next week for the episode 8 debrief/theory crafting
-Echo

rough translation of part of the interview with Yasuhiro Wada from the AnWL guidebook (psychoanalysis of rock, gustafa, and marlin)
Tumblr media
this passed peer review so here is the portion where Mr. Wada went into the 3 bachelors’ psychologies, as well as their relationships to their rivals…
(highly recommend buying the guidebook it’s very much worth it)
——The new heart events have really brought out the true personalities of each of the three bachelors, which weren’t this clear in the previous work. I was especially surprised by Rock’s heart events.
Wada-san: Rock really is just a silly guy (laugh). But I hope you’ll accept him as a husband, even if he’s not what you expected. In that regard, Gustafa's personality is the complete opposite of Rock’s. If you look at their actions alone, both Rock and Gustafa seem freewheeling, but Gustafa actually has a proper sense of philosophy and aesthetics. On the other hand, Rock truly has no idea what he’s doing (laugh). Every now and then Rock will say something impressive, but that’s because he’s a very pure soul, and so he can unblushingly say all sorts of things that normal people wouldn’t ever think to say, because they’re, you know, confined by awareness of social norms. So, even though to a normal person Rock might seem careless, the reality is that he’s an absolutely pure human being.
On the other hand, Gustafa is a man who pretends to be acting “freely” from the heart after having already ruminated on his thoughts (laugh). He is a guy who has a lot on his mind, so he is always looking for an opportunity to work it in casually to someone in conversation, like, "Actually, you know…”
In the middle of these two extremes is Marlin. He is both fretful about and fiercely jealous over Celia. He is the most human of the men.
——By the way, who do you think you’re the most like out of these three?
Wada-san: Rock. If I went to the ranch as a marriage candidate, the first thing I’d think about is taking over the farm (laugh). I say that, but I’m really Gustafa… (laugh) Well… I guess I honestly feel like Gustafa who wants to be Rock.
ーA rival for love appears on the scene. What is the relationship between the rivals and the bachelors?
Wada-san: First of all, regarding the relationship between Lumina and Rock. Lumina has a serious personality, so conversely, she longs for positive and carefree types who can weather all kinds of challenges cheerfully. So even though she’s the heir to the Villa and Rock himself is destined to inherit the Inner Inn, she can see that he lives by a completely different philosophy than she does, and she hopes that she too can learn to act on her feelings without overthinking.
In the case of Nami and Gustafa, Nami is inspired by Gustafa’s words because they reveal a way of thinking that is totally brand new to her, so it would seem that Nami is completely smitten with Gustafa.
In the case of Marlin and Celia, Marlin feels a sense of kinship with Celia because she has a weak body. But Marlin has to realize that in order to protect the frail Celia, being weak isn’t enough. Only when he becomes dependable and tough can he protect the weak Celia. You can’t just sit around being timid (laughs).

eh. might as well post this now. a few of these are wish fulfillment rather than actual theorizing but explanations under the cut
i have an alchemy hyperfixation and all the alchemy stuff in tmagp makes me very excited so a lot of my theories are related to that
spoilers for the pilot btw
main character gets an eye injury - the image will not leave my head. in the magnus institute ruins statement there was this whole thing about redcanary having some kind of encounter with or experience with eye trauma and that feels like something thats just. gonna come up again
another mechanisms va - self explanatory, we need to complete the set. would love to hear kofi or rachel.
gwen has trauma related to something that happened with elias - this is going on the theory that she’s not elias’ counterpart, but a relative of some kind. something spooky happens to him and that pushes gwen to research the paranormal.
character referencing nicholas flamel - all the main characters have names that reference alchemists, and nicholas flamel is probably the most famous alchemist of all time. i doubt he’ll be given the smirke treatment because that kinda already happened with the transphobic wizard books, but someone could be sharing his name.
mag 114 statement is relevant - thats the. hill top road statement that deals with other realities, and anya (the statement giver) could be from the protocol verse. we could totally hear about the aftermath of her departure
alice/sam/gwen = three primes - the three main alchemical symbols on the OIAR crest, and a good sort of symbolic trio sorter. the three peimes are salt, sulphur and mercury, and are the basis for alchemy. the down to earth, reliable salt, the firey, unpredictable sulfur, and the adaptable, easygoing mercury. i think these could apply i just want to have it called out in universe
lena is a good person - i don’t think they’d pull the evil boss thing twice. i just think lena’s weird mannerisms are from her autistic swag
celia is related to or is agnes - (related to as in. her story involves agnes, not that shes like. a sister.) this comes from a theory by @/pinklotjeart, i think. basically: through the way her death was described (spark returned to the lightless flame) and some timeline discrepancies and general avatarness making it weird, agnes might not be Dead dead. and celia’s counterpart, lynne - well, she saw a fire ghost. also, both her and agnes are the only non one-off characters who have shakespeare names afaik. agnes MONTAGUE, celia from as you like it…
annabelle cane is related somehow - self explanatory, she was at hilltop road when everything went down. might have been pulled in.
a famous alchemist is robert smirke’d - self explaining, give me more canon historical figures jonny
another kitty cat - i want more kitty in podcast is that a crime
augustus is not jonah - we hear jonah’s voice as ben meredith in 193, so im skeptical that tim fearon’s character is jonah for that reason.
oiar group has a messy moment that devolves into actual physical violence - mmm angst i think they deserve to smack eachother around a bit
bonzo cult - yeah.
oiar found family - we got the group of coworkers that hate each other angst last time gimme the “hurting one to get to the others” and self sacrifice angst this time
colin dies early - mmmm i cant say much about this bc its based on one throwaway line at the MCM panel where jonny doesn’t mention colin in the main character group. so . death flags.
oiar is containing the entities scp style - this was a super early theory of mine, either this or theyre using them for power or energy in some way. even more heavy handed capitalism metaphors yay
someone gets ushanka’d - its computer horror: the podcast. that’s all
cookbook statement - a few clues in the ARG had to do with cookbooks, and alex and jonny have already said they’re getting weird with the statement formats (they mentioned an insurance report!) so. cookbook doesn’t seem too far-fetched
tiktoker/influencer character - archives was 2010s and they had a podcaster and youtuber, which were like. the big things. whats the hip trend now??? instagram and tiktok baybee
protocol editors va a small role a la mag 100 or the wtgfs cult - those characters were voiced by other rq team members (ie helen as laverne and martyn as robin) and the team has since expanded!! some editors dis stuff for cry havoc, so im guessing nico, annie, april and others will get a small role!
a villain’s goal is creating the philosopher’s stone or other alchemical thing - tmagp is heavily inspired by alchemy, and the philosopher’s stone was the main goal of alchemy!! it would grant you eternal knowledge snd the ability to turn lead into gold- which seems like a good. evil dude’s ambition
the desolation gets more focus - the institute burned down, the oiar crest has a lot of sulfur symbols (the fire element), alchemy as a whole having to do with fire, celia and her connection- it paints a very. lightless flame picture
trip to germany - a lot of the arg was set in and around berlin, and there was that exchange between sam and colin about german in the pilot! i could see a germany trip happening in the same way jon took a trip to china and america.

I don’t have a good feeling about Celia
I tried to post this earlier but it got deleted so fuck
But from so many standpoints she just irks me
-She has the same character archetype as Alice. Many have pointed out their similarities and while this by itself isn’t much (as is everything on this list) with everything else it makes me weirded out
-She just came out of the blue. We had no warning in the episodes before no build up. We were introduced to the concept she was coming and then she came with little fanfare.
-Her introduction to the rest of the cast is a lot different than Sam’s. A lot understated. Maybe Jonny and Alex just didn’t want to do the same thing again but it felt really rushed and weird.
-I cannot see how she can possibly contribute to the plot in any meaningful way if she is just another victim coworker. She was introduced too late to have her death feel like anything but fridging (when you make a character just to kill them for momentary character drama), once again she shares a character archetype with Alice so the only thing that they could give Celia could be given to Alice perfectly fine, and she once again feels forced
-Celia was also too comfortable too quick for me. She just instantly trusted none of her coworkers would report her for talking shit about their boss. She seemed too genuine about everything even though she was in a completely new environment. And she was just so laid back with everything, like sure she might not know the full scale of things but she seems like she’s been their for as long as anyone can remember (something that might be due to the fact I associate this trait with Alice who has been there a long time)
-idk if I’m reaching or going crazy with this one but Alice seemed off. She moreso just said “I’m Alice” and and Aliced all over the place. But as soon as Celia left she said ‘yeah’ sorta suspiciously? Maybe I’m crazy. Then she’s back to herself replying to Gwen, who we can assume is only less interested in what Celia has to say due to the situation she’s found herself in during ep 4 was it? with Lena. The only time we really get to know her thoughts about Celia when she isn’t in front of her is when she’s bugging Sam about his crush on her, and also literally all conversation she has with Celia she also has with Sam and shifts the conversation (aside from just meeting Celia) to Sam (imo). The only time we get her opinions on Celia away from other characters is the little ‘yeah’.
-We don’t see Colin’s reaction to Celia either, which would mark the third episode in a row where Colin is only mentioned (to my knowledge). Though we don’t have any mention that he’s been hostile to her. The only characters that truly talk to her and that we can see their reactions to her are Alice and Sam. One who I’m convinced is suspicious of her and the other who’s ’in love’ with her (I was completely caught off guard by this due to not even thinking about any of that in the very beginnings of a horror podcast, I’m autistic and demiromantic, and because I was half listening the first time I listened. I sense it more but it still feels like a stretch to me before Alice mentions it though makes a lot of sense due to Sam’s reaction to her mentioning it)
-I feel like I’d be amiss to not mention the fact this is the episode we truly have an Avatar in it. Needles is the first avatar we tma enjoyers know as an avatar (in Norris’s statement in ep1 we have the maybe scammer but it’s unclear weather that’s an Avatar, someone being possessed, or something else entirely). Thematically, this would be a great way to establish a connection with Avatar and Celia. She was introduced exactly when Avatars were. Also the episode name could also be a reference to the fact we are having our “introductions” to Avatars thought this episode, but that’s unrelated.
-People has also pointed out Celia is in Tma, same name and same voice actress (so no Michael situation or helen and Mel’s therapist situation [I think I remember them having the same voice actress and that being a problem] here). Although I don’t know what the could mean but that’s actually the reason I decided to rewrite this mini-notsomini-rant.
I could be wrong about all of this and am prepared to be wrong but still, needed to get this out there.

Big questions and takeaways I have after MAGP 12:
STAGGERINGLY ATROCIOUS STAG PARTY Anusia please 🤣
Does Celia like-like Sam because her response says "Yes, but also I have to consult the entities inhabiting/possessing my body/causing me to sleepwalk" (to which her solution was "Let's go right after work/before I have to go to sleep")?? I need to know
I ship Sam x Happiness, which is a shame because that's one ship that's definitely not going to be canon
Sam has a high EQ and is doing nothing to dissuade my impression that he's super empathetic and has few qualms about using that to manipulate and get what he wants. Example:
Alice: gets jealous and digs in about Celia Sam: deflects by bringing up her helping him with his Magnus Institute mystery*rinse and repeat*
Did Sam and Alice break up because Alice is simultaneously too possessive and also unwilling to admit/talk about it? I'm pretty firmly on the "Sam broke up with Alice and tried to do it in the gentlest 'We're better off as friends' way possible" camp and Alice is sooo not over him
Cases are definitely not randomly assigned. This was clear with Sam and The Magnus Institute case(s), but it's clearly not just a "Sam's a special boy" instance, as it does not seem like a coincidence that Gwen got the Bonzo case
*If* cases are not randomly assigned, then who is in control? Lena? Freddy? JMJ? All of the above?
Bonzo has TWO LAYERS OF TEETH his first teeth are not soft and his second teeth are not blunt
The level of coverup involved in Bonzo-related murders has got to be STAGGERING (hehe). Mr. Bonzo TORE through that stag party and the bartender but left most of them alive. He was not being discreet. It's astounding that the most the media has to say about it is "Mr. Bonzo was spotted at the scene of five murders" when he's out there merrily cavorting with his prey like a cat playing with a mouse before killing it. Not to mention whoever was involved in placing the lunchbox and CD
Gwen's post-case conversation would have been WAY different if it had been Sam rather than Alice who came across her first, but I'm not sure if it would have been because Gwen doesn't know Sam enough yet to show her vulnerable side or if it's because Sam would have taken her seriously from the start
To that previous point... Sorry y'all, Alice (intentionally) fumbled this one. Gwen tried opening up to her and it was like the moment Alice saw it happening she went "Nuh-uh absolutely not, not getting involved in whatever's got you shook up, do not want to fall down the spooky rabbit hole" and shut Gwen down with joke after joke. Gwen attempted to communicate and Alice shut her out, and I think it's unlikely Gwen tries again until things are waaaay past the point of no return (unless Sam intervenes). I interpret this as Alice knowing there is something Very Wrong and really now wanting to dig deeper/get involved, but I'm not opposed to the theory that Alice knows more than she's revealing. I am still holding out for some Sam-Gwen conspiracy buddy investigations though.
Anyway, my jaw was on the floor for most of the case... and so was Baz's.

Hi! Do you have any Headcanons about Fox, maybe specifically about how he is with his partner on a daily basis, or in public? I'd love to see your take on it, only if you're okay with so of course! 🫶🫶
The way I ran so fast to my notes app only to realize its all in my brain KDBDJB
General HC;
I like to think he wears nice clothes outside the home, but when he's just chilling at home he's slip into a hoodie (yes the ahegao hoodie is a go-to) and sweatpants. It's comfy time
He and his bodyguards are pretty close friends. He likes them cus they're big and strong and lowkey kinda hot. He likes to sit and listen to their banter between streams- it's entertaining
He's ALSO really close friends with Celia; she's among the first people he'll contact in an emergency (aside from the obvious) or if he's bored. They have a spa day once a month
He's a bit of a parent friend, but he's the kind that'll laugh at you before helping
If he accidentally cuts himself while making dinner he'll just stare at the wound for a second like "oh" before patching it up
He babysat Derek for a bit while he was getting his business up and running so he basically watched the guy grow up. That's probably the closest thing he'd ever want to a kid (He hates kids cus of Derek kdbdjd that kid was TERRIBLE). He's got a bit of a fatherly attachment to him nonetheless
Relationship HC;
He would absolutely SPOIL his partner. Something in a store window catches your eye? As soon as you arent looking he'll buy you three
He's EXTREMELY physically affectionate. There's hardly any point where he isn't cuddling or touching you in some way, and if you're out in public he's got his hand in yours or around your waist, or his tail is brushing the backs of your legs
If he's comfortable enough with a person, he'll slowly drop the flirty businessman persona and allow himself to feel safe in private. Once his guard is down, he'll be more like his younger self in terms of how he acts around you at home. He just seems a lot more comfortable and happy, so the shift doesn't bother his partner much
Lowkey wants to buy matching collars but is also So Iffy about it. He annoys himself with it
He takes you to parties and formal events (if you want go, at least) and when he does, god forbid you leave his line of sight for more than 3 minutes. He'll only allow this if you have to use the bathroom and will stand next to the door to make sure you come out okay. Otherwise he'll tear down the place looking for you

Perhaps major 🤡 time. But what if… especially with the B roll footage at chiefs games… and her cosplaying Evelyn Hugo / Keleigh as Celia.. assuming Keleigh is actually acting as to fill in KK…
What if she’s making a mother effing movie based on performance art of closeting and coming out in the industry literally taking clips from the media etc as a part of the creative storytelling
This woman, I swear - the possibilities seem endless
That’s the thing she absolutely WOULD do something like that, it’s not even clowning!! “
“People often greatly underestimate me on how much I'll inconvenience myself to prove a point…”

You know, recently I came across the idea that Sam will become an antagonist and honestly? Kind of makes sense I would really be excited for it to turn this direction.
EP 10 was kinda mushy for Sam and Alice, but there are few elements that make me think Sam might turn towards whatever the evil, eldritch side is this season:
Alice constantly remarks how weak Sam is, calling him "a shrimp" or "noodle arms". I'm not implying Alice is doing it maliciously, but it definitely brings our attention towards Sam being physically weak while also being weak of character (as in, he's easily overpowered in the office environment, yet to see how he is in everyday life)
Alice definitely seems like Sam's "bond", but there is SO much drama brewing between him liking Celia, Alice still having feelings for him and Celia (low key) flirting with Alice (while Celia's energy towards Sam seems more friendly), it might end up with Celia "choosing" Alice over Sam (while Alice herself not really reciprocating those feelings for Celia), which plays well into next point
Sam seems to have some type of insecurity about being "chosen". It's quite a common insecurity to have, one where you feel you're always the last option, the "backup friend", never the first choice in something. The institute didn't choose him, Alice had to refer him for the job implying that without it he wouldn't get it and if the "love triangle" sorts itself out like I mentioned before, it also hammers on that "not the first choice" insecurity.
It would directly mirror Jon's arc. Jon never "wanted" to become an avatar, actively avoiding it and only giving in either against his own will, under a lot of duress/emotional trigger or due to not understanding his own powers. Sam on the other hand would be somebody who actively sought out the powers, gave in and "thrived" in them. Wouldn't be the first time we saw somebody "thriving" more as an avatar (or protocol equivalent of one) and with how it seems to work in protocol (items that do not directly corrupt or bind you to them, but are just dangerous or taxing to use) I could easily see an arc where Sam gives in to this power.
Wouldn't be the first time Jonathan Sims turns cinammon roll unhinged (looks at Martin post-change), but this time going all the way.

TMA/TMAP Orignal VS Somewhere else
OK, So….
I’m new here. Take anything and everything I say here with a MASSIVE PILE of salt.
I don’t think that TMAGP takes place in an alternate universe. I think this is the world they left behind, and the fears are making their way back in for some reason.
Now, I know that this is not what most people expect. A lot of what I’ve seen is people thinking this is “somewhere else”, that Jon and Martin made it somewhere else in this sort of monkey’s paw sort of way.
But I don’t think so. I think this is the TMA universe. And the fears are coming back in. That’s why all the artifacts were coming back in from Hilltop.  I think Jon and Martin and the extra got caught in the web and dragged into the last semblance of the fears that stayed behind—the web, because it connects everything and wasn’t going to wholly leave its home world because it knows that it’s home is useful and filled with a source of fear—so it left itself a way back in. We know that Annabelle is not wholly trustworthy from Jon’s last statement in TMA 200.
I think that as the fears come back, Jon starts to get more power again, as well. This is why he’s now reaching out to people via e-mail. He’s also probably trying to stop Fear-pocalypse 2, no fun for anyone. Because if the fears are coming back so quickly after leaving, there’s something else driving them back. And they’ll want to feed again.
It would also explain why the ruins of the Magnus Institute exist in this world. Why would a world that never had to deal with  the 14  15 cosmic soup of the fears have a ruined Magnus institute? While the fears are a universal thing—or so it seems from how they left in TMA—the specific landmarks and people who are coming through make me think that there wasn’t a somewhere else for Jon and Martin to land.
Now I do understand why people think that this has to be somewhere else. The world of TMA should have been in ruins after the fears took over. And I agree, you’d think. But at the very, very end of TMA we do get Georgie and Basira talking. And it seems like the world just ‘snapped’ back to normal and it seems like everyone is pretending it was just a mass hallucination that everyone suffered. (I don’t want to imagine the generational PTSD, though. Yikes.) It seems like this is the TMA world, a few years down the line after everything righted itself.
That’s why Celia is there. I’ve seen a lot of people saying that she must have made the jump with Martin and Jon, but I don’t see how. (If you have an idea, please, please PLEASE tell me. I would LOVE to be wrong here.) She wasn’t an avatar. She wasn’t even an acolyte outside of being a victim herself. I guess I could see that since she lost her identity that she sort of qualified as a emissary of the stranger, but she’s the only one we’ve met thus far who is might be. And if I’m right, there should be a TON of people who are. Although, I guess people probably wouldn’t talk about their experiences in the fear-world. So maybe I’m wrong. I don’t know.
Anyway, I wanted to ask about something I hadn’t seen many people talking about from TMAP 7: The fact that a ‘security’ force burned down Hilltop Road Consignment shop. It almost seems like the security force knew what was going on, what it meant and why it needed to be stopped. Almost like it was a splinter cell of the original Magnus Institute that recognized what the hell was going on and was trying to stop it. I haven’t seen anyone geeking out about this part as much—mostly because OMG THERE’S SO MUCH to be excited about and theorizing about—but I was hoping someone else thought the same?
I was kind of wondering if there are any descendants from those who survived the TMA series—Basira/Georgie/Melanie—who may have started a watch-group or something because they knew the fears could return.
Anyway.
Happy “I’m losing my goddamned mind” day. I look forward to next Thursday where we somehow find a scrap of sanity left to lose it when TMAP 8 rolls out.

Enjoyed ep 11 today although I got more of a mild sense of dread than being tense/ jumpy the whole time than usual with magnus
Some key points I noticed
Ink5oul is definitely back .Kinda reminds me of Jared Hopworth with the body stuff .Could they maybe not be as malevolent as they seemed ??
I think I ship Dyehard/Dyhard now ( I was previously undecided on ships except for knowing I didn't like Sam x Celia but that Mocha scene) Also it has a cool ship name
I have been looking out for static with lying but I didn't really hear much static personaly.
Who is jack? I've heard speculation about Jack Barnabus ( Agnes coffee shop guy) and I know I heard Jonny say in the season 5 Qand A that if he could redo magnus he would explore Agnes more.
WHATS CELIAS DEAL? Why is she sleeping on grass/ teleporting I DONT TRUST HER
Alice Is being FOLLOWED defiantly sounds linked to the eye to me .Could possibly be ERROR ? I don't think Alice will die first though.
Today's statement giver sounds like the vast or lonley on the surface with all the ocean stuff but I defiantly think it's something more ocean specific as vast statement givers usually talk about wide expanses or endlessness and stuff which this gut didn't and he didn't seem particularly withdrawn.I reckon the main guy was defiantly an avatar
Episode title : MARKED !!!This doesn't seem to link super well with the statement which makes me think it's one of the OIAR staff . Maybe Gwen after the whole Mr Bonzo thing but I also think it could be Alice . I do trust Alice and Gwen though.I think Alice knows stuff but is trying to help people out I think Gwen doesn't know as much as she thinks and Celia knows too much but refuses to say ( I DONT TRUST CELIA) .I kinda trust Lena because her being Evil mastermind boss would be too similar to Elias.
WHO'S NAME DID BONZO GET ??!!Lena said pay attention to the case files so could it be Ink5oul ? I also think it could be an OIAR employee : could be Alice as she was followed but I don't think she'll be killed off yet .Could be Sam ( fake out protaganist?) Personally I'm hoping it's CELIA but I'll ha e to wait and see.
Not especially relevant to this episode but Gerry sounded WAY too happy when he was introduced . I reckon Gertrude is drugging him ( or using some supernatural thing to control him)
Also I re listened to MAG 111 and noticed Gerry mentioning Gertrude hiding the key to her storage locker( where explosives were) in the institute could this be the key Sam and Alice found???
The statement this ep seems like an obvious metaphor for Jon as the guy ( can't remember his name G something but not Gerrad, maybe Gordon) wanted desperately to know what was in the sea so could link to Jon's Archivist stuff .Is it to obvious though??Not convinced it is JonMartin in the computer but I really hope it is as Jon/Chesters statements seem to be all about hunting down too much knowledge / becoming a monster and all Martin/Noris's statements seem to be about love and loss.Could be some fragmented web stuff though.
Thats about it.I think my anti celia bias is starting to show throughout this, oh well

GULLIBLE - Kevin Khatchdourian
Short summary: Kevin convinces you to do the dirty with him by making up a lie.
Warning: Smut, mentions of a religious things, dirty things happen in a church, DUB-CON.
Tumblr media
(It won’t let me add the photo so here’s a GIF)
The perfect balance to the point you only speak when your spoken to, he could picture himself with a girl as submissive as you. It confused him though, he never was really attracted to anyone before.
Of course there were girls at his school he wouldn’t mind fucking with a bag over there heads, but they were loose sluts that would throw themselves all over him.
But you… you were a Christian girl, which meant you couldn’t commit to such a sin. But Kevin doubted you even knew much about sex since of how innocent you looked.
Always wearing white clothes, either it be a white shirt with a long skirt or a pair of blue jeans or a white dress. You always wore a cross around your neck, he found it “cute” how you could worship someone you didn’t even know ever existed.
So much commitment for a man that may never respond, in a way it proved how dedicated you were to your religion.
Kevin watched as you walked through the church doors, wearing a floral jersey dress with a white cardigan over it. You dressed comfortably for the Sunday prays.
Kevin’s parents suggested he went to church with him on the weekends before, but he only started going when he realized you would he there. Now he was standing at the car with his parents and little sister Celia.
“I’m going to go inside.” Kevin spoke monotonously, not caring about his dad’s suggestions that they all walked into the church together.
Kevin’s slender legs made way to the church door, wearing a pair of navy suit pants with a black long sleeve with the sleeves rolled up, his veins visible as well as every muscle in his arms.
Kevin opened the door for himself, walking into the church, scanning it for you, once he saw you he went over to where you were sat with your family. “Hello.” Kevin said calmly, “Could I speak to you in private.” Kevin asked politely.
You looked at your family members for approval, once they looked okay with his proposition you nodded your head and stood up and followed Kevin.
Kevin walked you to the washroom, locking the door behind the two of you. “Take off your underwear.” Kevin demanded, he was surprised at himself for being so demanding.
Your face scrunched up, “No.” you simply said, of course you were not going to agree to lose your virginity in the church washroom.
Kevin thought for a moment, he quickly came up with an idea. “I had a dream, the lord was in it.” Kevin lied, of course you would never be able to tell since his voice and facial expressions were always so bland.
You stood there, looking up into Kevin’s dark eyes. “Go on.” You mumble, crossing your arms over your chest.
Kevin sighed, “You were in my dream… the lord told me I needed to get you pregnant or Jesus will stop looking over the both of us.” Kevin continued on with his lie. Praying you were as gullible as he thought.
You stood there shocked, unfolding your arms. “Seriously? Right here?” You questioned Kevin. Pushing some of your hair out of your face.
“Yes. Don’t you feel something between us…? A connection.” Kevin responded, his black hair being a mess. You found it cute.
You thought about it for a moment, you’ve talked to Kevin a couple of times. Whenever you spoke to him you felt like he understood you, maybe it was because he agreed with everything you ever said to him.
“I do, but… shouldn’t we wait for marriage?” You wondered, this seemed all to overwhelming in this moment.
Kevin shook his head, “It has to be now, you have to give birth before next year.” Kevin insisted, he wondered if you were acting dumb or if you genuinely thought he was telling the truth.
You reluctantly nodded your head, biting your lower lip. “Well…” you slowly slide down your panties, the fabric sliding down your thighs until they dropped to the ground, you kicked them to the side.
Kevin couldn’t believe what he was seeing, you would actually believe Kevin’s lie?
Kevin got back into action, unbuckling his belt and unbuttoning his pants. “Don’t worry, I’ll be gentle.” Kevin whispered into your ear, pushing your hips into the bathroom sink.
Sliding his pants down to his mid thigh, pulling his length out of his underwear. He softly wrapped his hand around your hair, pushing it out of the way and gently kissing your shoulders and neck.
Kevin bent you over the sink slightly, looking at your face through the mirror in front of you. You looked like you were enjoying this.
Kevin spit on his fingers, gathering his saliva on his two fingers. Lubing them up before sticking them into your vagina, slowly pulling them in and out.
You felt a slight burning sensation, it felt really pleasant though. You decided to enjoy this instead of having a fit about it.
“I’ll take care of you, darling.” Kevin husked, his voice deep and raspy. Whispering directly in your ear, nibbling on your lobe as he took his fingers out of your entrance.
Kevin lined himself up with your entrance, slightly jerking himself before slowly sliding himself inside of you. A sharp gasp slipping your mouth.
One of Kevin’s hands resting on your hip, gently massaging it. The other one covered your mouth as Kevin kissed the back of your neck. “You’rere so tight.” Kevin groaned.
Kevin slowly started to grind into you, hitting your g-spot you started to moan out loud. Good thing Kevin’s hand was muffling your moans. God he was going to hell for this.
“I want you to enjoy this as much as I do.” Kevin took his hand off of your mouth and brought it down to your clit, he slowly rubbed it in circles.
Lewd sounds coming from your mouth, moans, gasp, groans and whines all escaping from your pretty little mouth. Kevin only had a casually loud exhale, he wasn’t as vocal as you were.
Kevin started bucking his hips into you, loud slapping sounds now coming from the washroom. “Such a good girl.” Kevin praised you, still rubbing at your clit.
Kevin felt like he was about to come, “I’m close, sweetie.” Kevin warned you, quickening his pace.
You felt Kevin’s dick twitch inside of you, then a warm liquid cover your walls. You felt a warm feeling in your stomach as your whole body vibrated for a moment, reaching your orgasm.
Kevin saw your eyes squeeze shut and your mouth open with a loud moan escaping your mouth.
Kevin slowly pulled out with a slight whine escaping his mouth, his tip very sensitive. Kevin watched as he come dripped out of you. He grabbed some toilet paper and wiped your labia and vagina.
Kevin stuffed the piece of toilet paper in his pocket as he pulled up his pants. Once he was no longer exposed you turned around.
Your legs shaking as you picked up your underwear and put it back on. “I’ll let you know when I start to see some results.” You told Kevin.
Kevin nodded his head, watching as you left the washroom, he looked on the ground and saw some blood. He chuckled and left the washroom as well, of course you were a virgin.
Can someone please help me with the photo thing?

TMAGP Theory Board (Episode 8-9)
Hi guys sorry about the missed week of theory crafting my schoolwork has been extra demanding and I haven't been able to get around to updating the board until now so here's the updated board
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Episode 8 especially was insane so I'm gonna break the episode breakdown into two sections.
What Happened in Episode 8: Running On Empty
Tumblr media
New Norris Statement! it's been a while since we heard from our buddy and he did not disappoint. though there's not much to say story-wise this was just a cool incident report I loved the way they described the Lonely as a constantly hungry entity. I also noticed that the pattern of Norris's statements having to do with lost love continues to be true. it's much more subtle than his previous two incidents but the statement giver does mention losing his wife because of divorce. which I believe still follows the pattern I've theorized is taking place.
Something up with Alice. She seems more depressed and serious than she usually is in this episode. (through episode 9 I think I know why but I'll get to that later. I don't believe she is completely in the dark like some of the newer employees and after hearing about Gwen's promotion she is getting suspicious. we have yet to know if Alice knows what's happening. but her behavior in this episode might give us a hint about how naive she actually is.
Colin is Absent. After his freakout in EP 7, Colin is MIA. according to Lena, he's on a mental health break but I would not be surprised if that is a lie.
Tumblr media
Gerry and Gertrude are Alive!! Probably the most exciting development in this episode was meeting an alive Gerry Keay and Gertrude Robison. Sam is on the hunt for info about the Magnus Institute after the emails Jon has been sending him and he and Celia end up meeting Gerry who in this universe is considerably more happy and lives with Gertrude. I'm interested to know what role Gertrude plays in this universe is she at all connected to the Institute? I definitely think something is up with her because of the way she tries to deflect Sam's question to Gerry.
Celia Lore. after the meeting with Gerry leads to a dead end for Sam, Celia asks him to help her with her mystery. "I'm trying to look into... Weird physics stuff: time travel, other dimensions, teleportation" More proof for this Celia being from from Archives. why else would she be looking into other dimensions specifically if she wasn't trying to figure out what happened at the Panopticon. (Remember as far as we know Celia before the change in Archives was just a normal person she had no connection to the entities or the Institute.) when Sam asks, she says it's for her friend's podcast but I think she's lying. or not telling the full truth.
Georgie Barker Perhaps? speaking of the friend. our last reveal of the episode is Georgie in protocol. I don't think she is from Archives because Georgie appears after Jons's sacrifice in MAG 200.
And thats it for episode 8 so im gonna move on to Episode 9
What happened in Episode 9: Rolling With It
Sam is back to filling out onboarding paperwork but the questions on it are strange. asking about past traumas, how many dead things you've seen recently, and the infamous question why? similar types of questions that appear in TMA job interviews.
Tumblr media
A Magnus Statement!?! After Celia tells Sam she can't find anything at the Magnus Institute Sam considers cutting his losses and letting it go. But then Chester without any prompting begins reading a Magnus statement incident to Sam. I still believe Chester is Jon and he acts as a mentor to Sam trying to keep him safe by providing him with bits of the answers he's looking for. (this way Sam won't be in danger of looking for answers elsewhere and maybe he won't be targeted by this unknown force that had killed RedCanary and driven Colin to extreme paranoia.) the statement reveals that the institute collected and stored artifacts much like the Institute in Archives.
Tumblr media
What's the deal with the Institute? the statement Chester shares this episode is pretty standard Magnus stuff, magic fear dice is just another Thursday for TMAG enjoyers. but what I found most interesting was the pre-statement info. What does this viability survey mean? viable for what? I and my roommate have a kind of joke theory that the Institute in this universe is a hub for training and creating new avatars but now I'm starting to think this might actually be the case. I think they are looking for people who have the potential to become avatars as subjects. for the agents, they might be employing avatars to work for the institute and the catalyst has to be finding an avatar that can complete the ritual and bring the Change. The unknown statement giver in this episode can't be a subject because they are already claimed by a power from the dice (still unsure what power it is ) they have low potential to become an agent because based on the end of the statement they now want nothing to do with the dice stepping away from their identity as a fear avatar and then dying. and for some reason, the institute must see some potential that this individual can serve as a catalyst for the ritual. I'm hopeful we'll get another avatar statement and maybe we can revisit this Viability survey again
Gwen's First assignment. Gwen gets her first Liason assignment and it has brought up a major player from the protocol ARG. Mr Bonzo is this weird mascot character that showed up multiple times in the ARG that was launched back in the fall of 2023. Gwen is tasked with delivering an envelope with a name and address to Nigel Dickerson someone who according to Gwen is known for Mr. Bonzo. Basically, I have no idea where this is going but I definitely think it must be important.
Tumblr media
Poor Alice. Alice meets with Teddy to catch up. Nothing story significant happens here but we do learn that maybe Alice still harbors some romantic feelings towards Sam.
The Ruins. After her conversation with Teddy Alice is approached by Sam with a request. He wants to go to the old Magnus Institute ruins and wants Alice to come with him. This is definitely a bad idea but she agrees and that's where we leave off
and thats it for now. The story is getting so good and I'm already attached to all the characters so im terrified to see what Sam and alice dig up at the ruins (Sam clearly didn't heed the warning of the RedCanary)
