Ok, so can we talk about Punz for a second? Because like when I rewatched that stream the other day, not only did I notice that is was Punz who avenged Dream by killing Tommy and returning all of his stuff, after Sapnap and Tommy had ambushed Dream and refused to return it [details] (making him truly the mvp, who really doesn’t get enough credit). But I also noticed some other fun things.

Tommy punches Dream -> immediately killed by Punz [clip].

Like okay maybe we could make the point that Dream pays him to kill Tommy and reclaim all of his stuff [clip], but pretty sure Dream isn’t paying him to be so protective.

Okay random thought but hear me out here. Syndicate AU but Punz is Harpocrates. They show up to the meetings, review plans and suggest tactics, and overall are an appreciated member of the group.

Then the Syndicate breaks Dream out of prison. They know Punz and Dream have bad blood, so they decidedly keep Punz out of the planning process for that, and they try to make sure that Punz doesn't know where Dream is. Pretty soon, they find out and the Syndicate has to work with that.

They confirm that Punz won't betray them and lead the server to Dream, and even after that they never allow Punz and Dream to be alone in the same room (or even in the same room, period). Of course, Punz and Dream are still working together, so they're quietly panicking and trying to figure out a way to resolve this without revealing the plan/the fact that the finale was staged.

Eventually, they settle for leaving each other notes in spots that they both have access to and try to figure out a plan from there.

Techno has no idea about any of this. Ranboo is on high alert around Dream too much notice anything. Phil notices that Punz and Dream become more nervous and closed-off when in the same room or have the other mentioned. Niki is the only one who thinks, "hey, maybe there's something else going on here".
