How would TOS Spock react to his s/o wanting to learn the vulcan language?

TOS Spock reacting to you wanting to learn Vulcan:

•at first you attempt to learn it in secret- using the extra hour you have apart from Spock, as his shifts are one hour longer than yours.

•but inevitably Spock discovers your little secret. One night he discovers you hunkered down on the sofa in his room, labouring over a children’s story that’s written in his native language. He watches in silence for a while as you attempt to say aloud the words you’ve read. But when you can’t quite manage it he corrects you gently.

•you’re shocked to see him there! And you go a little hot in the face, but Spock’s curiosity wins out and he asks for an explanation.

•so you tell him that you’re attempting to learn Vulcan- not just speaking it, but reading and writing it too!

•he sort of blinks blankly as has to ask why. You just laugh and say it’s because of him- you want to know and share in his language and his culture.

•and Spock is touched. He can’t help but steal a little Vulcan kiss as he smiles tenderly at you. But as he points out, if you really want to share in his language and culture then you ought really to ask for his help!

•so you do. Spock is delighted to help you in your learning! And under his gentle, kind and fun tutoring you swiftly become fluent in all forms of communication in the Vulcan language!

•and it has definitely brought you closer together, so that’s a win as well.

In Wrath of Khan, Spock gifts Kirk "A Tale of Two Cities" in an actual physical copy of the book [very vintage for the 23rd century].

THAT GOT ME THINKING-

How many times did Spock gift Kirk a physical book? Did he restlessly scour for hours trying to find an old copy of a book that he knew Kirk would adore?

I can only imagine Spock, a logical and very composed Vulcan, going slightly insane trying to find bound books just so he can see his captain light up with a smile as Spock gifts it to him.

Christmas with TOS Bones would include:

•dear Bones takes Christmas seriously. He likes the vintage and traditional elements!

•his front door has the most incredible seasonal wreath on it- he brought it from a local florist, and it’s so magnificent! Full of evergreen foliage, mistletoe, holly berries, dried fruit and glittery bows! It’s absolutely beautiful, and tells you from even before you’ve stepped foot in the house that Christmas with him will be an experience you’ll never forget!

•and you’re not disappointed by the decorations inside! There’s paperchains, fairy lights and gingerbread garlands everywhere- not to mention lots of handmade ornaments from his daughter!

• absolutely everything in terms of food has been made by his own talented hands! There’s peach flan, chicken pie, roast potatoes, cranberry sauce, Christmas pudding! Honestly absolutely everything you could possibly want to eat, and he made it all himself according to the old family recipe!

•Bones has absolutely everything organised down to a tee! There’s snowman table runners for the dining table, glittery green tree confetti, crackers with absolutely terrible jokes that make you both laugh until you’re wheezing!

•and so when it snows, you wouldn’t be at all surprised if it turned out that he had arranged it! But of course he hadn’t, it was a happy coincidence that you both enjoyed- just watch out for his competitive streak if you start a snowball fight!

•so many presents under the tree, and he wrapped every single one himself. And they’re so neatly wrapped that it’s almost a shame to tear into them on Christmas Day- but then those blue eyes twinkle at you and suddenly you’re just overwhelmed with childish excitement and tear into them!

•mistletoe is dotted about the house, and Bones definitely takes a few chances to catch you under the mistletoe.

•Christmas with Bones is ultimately a lot of fun, full of laughter, good food and plenty of enjoyment!
