Can I request a senku x fem reader where she goes with the group to the cave instead of magma and her and senku end up cuddling for warmth and senku is all flustered by it.
Gonna slight change this up a little, anon. I kinda sat on this knowing I wanted to write something like it, but never knowing where to take it,,, BUT it's cold outside and season 3 is up to the infiltration arc so Imma have a little bit of fall fun 🥹
Lowkey has the same reader from Bandages in mind tbh but I also like the idea of Senkuu calling his s/o Dragonfruit so-
If you’ve got a couple dollars to spare, here’s my kofi (I am a struggling college student 😳)
By Night in Caves (Ishigami Senkuu x Fem!Reader)
Tumblr media
A figure shivers as a sharp wind blows past them. The leaves starting to change shades and the cold breeze in the air are enough indication of the fall season. While most people would probably be snuggled up in their homes under a nice quilt or a huge blanket, (Y/n) was out with Senkuu and searching for God knows what. She could probably ask him what day it was and he'd know to a T, but she'd have to wait until after their current expedition.
She did bring the Stone World equivalent of a light jacket, but the night air was starting to make it a little useless the longer they were out and about. Senkuu isn’t showing it, but she can just tell the air’s starting to get to him too.
It’s just the two of them at the moment, the rest of their ragtag group splitting off to other areas to find what they’re looking for. While Senkuu would typically go off with one of the other generals, Gen was really persistent that he go with (Y/n). It was beyond her understanding why, but she wouldn’t complain about spending alone time with her close friend again.
“Hey, Leek,” She lightly tugs on his sleeve as his crimson eyes stare far ahead, her own (e/c) eyes staring off towards a cave in the near distance. She points towards it once she feels his eyes on her, “Think we should check in for the night? I’m more than positive the others have too with how dark it’s gotten.”
“Think you’re just getting cold, Dragonfruit,” He hums in response, staring at the cave as he thinks it over. He grins at the sight of the many sticks and twigs around the area, tugging (Y/n) along with him as he starts walking in that direction, “I’m sure it won’t hurt to start a fire for a bit though.”
He’s super eager to get there, picking up various rocks, twigs, leaves, and sticks as they get closer. She attempts to help, but he’s moving faster than she can think. It’s almost a little unnerving… Kind of like he thinks this cave will benefit him in some way or something…
“Wait, is the thing we’re looking for in a cave?” (Y/n) asks, turning to Senkuu just as he gets the fire up and running at the edge of the cavern’s opening. He stands and backs away from it, holding his hands out towards it for a little bit before slowly backing away from it.
The fire is a reasonable size, big enough to ward off any animals and let anyone know they’re location if they’re passing by. Senkuu, however, is moving further into the cave. His flashlight is on, catching the twinkles of a few minerals and gems a little further inside. There’s a glint in his ruby eyes, made devious by the smirk on his face, “You can stay by the fire if you want, but I’m gonna scope this area out for a bit.”
She stares at him with a straight face, narrowing her eyes at him as he starts getting more and more visibly excited. She normally wouldn’t mind him doing his science thing to his hearts content, but it’s starting to get late and she really doesn’t want to sit by the fire by herself…
And almost like a gift from God (or a curse from Satan), it starts to rain. And it rains hard.
The fire is out almost immediately and Senkuu freezes in his tracks at the sound. The crack of his neck can be heard as he quickly turns his head towards where (Y/n) is sitting, who has visibly tensed up like a cat at the sudden change of weather. The first clap of thunder has her jumping ten feet in the air, landing a ways away from the cave’s opening and further along inside. She bumps into Senkuu as she lands, the two stumbling to the ground together.
“Well, that’s great,” Senkuu grumbles as he lays on the hard ground, sitting up a little to glare at the cave’s entrance. (Y/n) is more than glad, but she won’t admit to praying on his downfall out loud.
“Maybe it’s for the best… It was getting pretty late,” She settles for, sitting up and glancing around the cave. She then looks down at him, giving him a teasing smirk, “We’ll just have to snuggle for warmth, Leek. Stark naked~”
He’s quiet after that, his face turned far enough away from hers that she can’t read it. After a moment, he looks up at her with the most deadpanned expression he can muster. He doesn’t even humor her with a grin or an inch of a smile, moving his focus to thinking as he stares hard at the rain outside, “We could be here a few hours. While the cave hasn’t hit relatively low temperatures yet, we may actually need to huddle for warmth throughout the night to keep body temperature between us. We shouldn’t need to take our clothes off since we didn’t get wet or anything and we definitely can’t start another fire with all the wet materials outside-”
He continues to ramble off plausible game plans and (Y/n) is unable to keep up after awhile. She rests her chin in her palm, sighing as she lets him finish his little analysis. While he does that, she gets close to him and rests her head on his shoulder before pushing into his space. She gets comfortable, burying her face in his neck and leaning her weight into his body so the two of them fall back to the ground.
(Y/n) wraps her arms around his waist, snuggling into his hold until her body is flush against his. Senkuu’s thinking stops as one of his arms wraps around her out of instinct and pull her closer to his body. A soft flush warms and fills his cheeks as he holds her close, hand pressed flat against her back while his other arm lays out to his side. He looks down at her, hoping the small change in his breathing isn’t obvious as he takes in how close she is.
“Turn your brain off, Senkuu. You said we could be here for hours, right?” (E/c) orbs glance up at him through her eye lashes, a soft pout dancing along her lips, “I’m heading to sleep, so you should too…”
He watches as her breathing begins to soften, reminding him of fond memories in the old world from sleepovers past. He shouldn’t get so worked up, they’ve been closer than this before, but he can’t help but focus on every part of her he’s been struggling to ignore as of late. Things like this keep him from getting jealous of the others, because deep down he knows no one could ever be as comfortable with her as he is.
Even so, he’s still left only admiring her from afar. He’s lucky most of their comrades have picked up on his feelings for her, but he’s got a long way to go before he’s even close to ready to admit his feelings…
Yet… He can revel in moments like this for now, with her in his arms in rare private moments like this. He’s glad the mentalist set this up for him, regardless of the protests from Chrome and the proud look on Ukyo’s face. She doesn’t have to know he wasn’t actually looking for anything, he’ll just wake up before her and grab a few resources from the cave to use as a small diversion. For now, he’ll take advantage of his situation…
He plants a soft kiss on the top of her head, letting himself fall asleep after.

My thoughts on Dr. Stone’s S03E02 (“Greed Equals Justice”)
(Safe to read for anime-only folks.)
My thoughts after watching Season Three, Episode Two:
01. Kohaku and Chrome like Senku's incredibly burnt bread, but poor Ryusui really, really wants a professional chef! That face he made looked so sketchy XD
02. This OP seems to be a lot less spoilery compared to past OPs! There's still stuff there that you can see, but not as much as it could have been. I guess they really wanted to keep some of the good stuff as a surprise! :D
03. The title of the second episode... Greed Equals Justice! :)
04. "Journalass" :D And she looked away, which must have showed Gen that Ryusui was onto something! And Minami does have an AWESOME name for a journalist! :D
05. Ah, we got some invention flashbacks! :)
06. "Enough for a tiger cub?" Hahaha! Is that some sort of Japanese idiom? It sounds funny and cool! XD
07. Francois is here! :) I think that when I first read the manga, I thought she would either have red hair or a red outfit. But since they gave Ryusui a red outfit in the anime, it makes sense that they'd give Francois a different color!
08. I like how she just started walking in presumably the right direction, since they didn't tell her she was going the wrong way. It's like she has a mental compass pointing straight to Ryusui XD
09. So Ryusui doesn't remember Francois' real name or gender... but he remembers her fashion style, and her clothing and shoe sizes? That's... some selective memory there :O
10. ...And she walked into the conversation, just like that! XD Poor Gen... this isn't the first time he's had to go through those woods without rest... AND he's barefoot! :O
11. Poor modern-timers... XD Kohaku and Chrome's stick figures looked happy, though! :D
12. Somebody asking Senku for an even MORE accurate figure than he's already provided... I don't blame him for looking perplexed XD
13. Time for stollen! :) Ah, so Kohaku knows how to use that... that... animal-catching thingy! That's good info! She surprised Ukyo with her animal catching, and Francois with her butter making :D
14. And the elderly folks are helping with the stollen, too! Pretty convenient that those berry plants are around their height! :)
15. Pretty cool to see Senku learning something and being on the sidelines while somebody else is doing the teaching! And he and Ryusui got scolded XD
16. Hmm, I'm going to have to figure out when they found the time to build that bread oven... It's too large to just be former iron forge, although they could have used some of the same bricks... but, no, even these new bricks are too large and square... :O
17. Senku helped by injecting water into the oven! :) And Francois totally wants him... to be part of the future Nanami Conglomerate :D
18. Chrome's so happy, Kohaku likes it, and even Ukyo is teary-eyed... :) We can also see random villagers enjoying it! And Francois showed us how to make bread! :)
19. Poor Minami... But everybody is so happy about Francois' bread! XD And there it is again, "tiger cub's worth of revival fluid" XD
20. While the others were talking about what Minami wanted in return, Kohaku was just in the background, quietly gobbling up that loaf of bread :D And aww, Kohaku's very considerate of Kaseki! :)
21. That car, those clothes, that drip... wow, Kaseki! :O ...Although the clothes didn't last for very long... XD
22. Some building, some science, and voila, a mirror! Another invention that Chrome and the elderly folks are enjoying! :)
23. That's what Minami REALLY wanted... a camera! :D And we got bits of backstory about her! It is SO in-character for a journalist to want to photograph the green light of the pertrification! She was the one who made me cry this episode. She made such a beautiful promise to Senku and the rest of them! :)
24. Grr, Senku... XD Well, at least Minami's going to take the first photo... and it's great that Ryusui knew who the subject of the stone world's first ever photograph should rightly be :)
25. Francois has great insight into Ryusui's motivations and desires! :O
26. A suit; an old-timey waistcoat thingy; some kind of rockstar getup that totally makes him look like Byakuya (and that buckle, hahaha! I see you, animators :D); another modern outfit, and... huh?! :O
27. Senku sticking his tongue out - the pose of the modern world's most famous scientist, recreated by the stone world's most famous scientist! :D
28. I wonder if those circle thingies in the ED are elements that somehow relate to the five wise generals? :O
29. Francois has joined the party; we've acquired bread, mirrors, and photography; and Minami took the very first photo in the stone world! :) But, oh, the next episode... "First Contact..." I CANNOT wait! :O I'm going to watch it right after I publish this post! :D

Chapter 194 Trivia
😭 Suika...
Tumblr media
Good news! The cows aren't dead, and there still seems to be corn growing, although no cobs are visible. Either the cows have already eaten them or they haven't grown yet, possibly making it summer by the heights of the plants?
Tumblr media
It looks like fresh blood does turn to stone even if it's not directly on the body. Note Magma's on the safe compared to Ginro's dress.
We can also see the organization of the fight, it looks like the villagers banded together while the empire members rallied around Minami.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Much like domestic cats, jaguars hiss (rather than roar) when they feel threatened by something new to their environment! Obviously this is the first time this kitty has seen a microphone.
Interesting that after several years their setup still works, the Amazon is pretty humid.
Tumblr media
I'm sure this is my dog's reaction every time I leave the house to go shopping. 💔
Tumblr media
Senku's prediction in 192 was almost right: it was actually both! The hiss partially cracked it and the lightning finished it off.
It makes sense that the lightning would strike the fort, since it's the tallest thing in the area.
Tumblr media
Welcome back Suika! Seems like a few years is enough to leave stone fragments behind after petrification, assuming it has only been that long.
Compared to Matsukaze's, Suika's fragments do look thinner. Maybe if Suika takes long enough, people will have petrification scars?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Matsukaze may have lost his master all those years ago, but he's never losing this stick.
That's also Francois' food bag, though it's hard to identify anything left there. Looks like animals rummaged through it and tore it apart.
Tumblr media
Suika eats the very old jerky. Jerky usually only lasts a year or two stored properly, and in the humidity of the Amazon I doubt that tastes too good. If it hasn't gone moldy, it's probably very tough.
Looks like the animals haven't figured out how to open jars yet though.
Tumblr media
Let's ignore Maslow for a moment and consider Suika's hierarchy of needs: 1. food. 2. sense of purpose. 3. a hug. I wonder if this will affect the order she revives people in... (assuming she finds any fluid)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The statues here are Suika's imagination. Given his forward position, could it be that Tsukasa has been acting as an older brother to Suika like Kohaku acts as an older sister to her?
Or maybe the 👍 is simply a hint that Tsukasa's been hiding revival fluid somewhere...
Tumblr media
We also have no idea what happened to Carlos and Max. Are they even still at the fort?
Does this pose feel familiar? It's because it's quite close to Senku's original pose way back in chapter 1. Fun fact: Suika's swapped out her sandals for a pair of slippers similar to Senku's leather shoes here! I wonder why. Could she have outgrown them?
Tumblr media
Another callback! Here it's the monkeys: Senku's original ones were Old World monkeys, whereas Suika's are New World monkeys! Specifically squirrel monkeys, though the manga-monkeys' tails appear shorter than in real life.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Originally I thought Suika simply repurposed her old helmet, but if you look closely that might actually be a pumpkin or another gourd since it's not a perfect sphere.
The real puzzle is how it's around her neck when her head is that large...

Magic AU: To Scientists And Mages
A/N: I just decided to post my fanfics also here on Tumblr. But, all of these are cross-posted to my AO3 account too along with the other SenHaku Week 2021 fanfics of mine! I'll be posting the other ones here every day until I'm caught up with my AO3 account! Fanfic Links: AO3 | FF.net

A Modern Magic AU where witch!Kohaku helps out scientist Senku make a device for Ruri's sake. SenHaku Week 2021 Day 5: First Time
Tumblr media
Scientists and mages were very different from each other.
One side was focused on seeking answers and developing the world. They used science and became the rising figures of the modern world. Meanwhile, the other was pushed to the shadows and, yet, they still performed miracles with their magic.
They clashed at times, but the peaceful moments between the two dominated the bad ones.
"What's that?" Senku asked as he saw his apprentice fiddling with a phone.
"I'm trying to see if I can make this phone store some really bad magic." Chrome huffed. "I think you need sealing magic for this, but I can't be so sure."
It was only about a month ago that Chrome decided to learn under him. Senku didn't believe that mages existed until the brown-haired boy showed his powers. The scientist became convinced right away after he couldn't find any concrete evidence of the little act.
Chrome wanted to find a way to merge science and magic. From that wish, Senku decided to build a group focused on this kind of study. He was also curious anyway. So, why not?
They started gathering data from both sides, but it was challenging. Chrome and Joel were the only ones who were studying both magic and science. While both boys were brilliant, they didn't possess a deeper understanding of sorcery. The lack of knowledgeable mages in the team was becoming a problem.
Acknowledging the issue at hand, Senku decided to add more people to the team. "Do you know any powerful mages that can help us?"
"I know a really bad gorilla."
-------------------------------------------
Senku was slightly expecting a talking gorilla when Chrome said he knew a gorilla.
However, there was no talking gorilla. There was only an American-looking girl frowning at him. Rather than a monkey, the scientist thought she looked more like a lioness because of her hair. Was it also magic? It seemed pretty odd.
"This is Kohaku. She's the gorilla I was telling you about!" Chrome introduced her.
"I'm not a gorilla!" She exclaimed as she hit him on the head several times.
"Ehhhh? She seems more like a lioness." Senku commented, sticking a pinky finger in his ear.
"I'm not a lioness either!" The girl protested once more. She approached and scrutinized him. "Chrome, he doesn't have magic."
"I'm only a normal human being." The scientist held out his hand. "It's nice to meet you, Kohaku. Your help will ten billion percent get us far in our research."
She blushed when she heard him utter her name. But instead of shaking his hand, she turned to Chrome. "The coven won't be happy with this. You'll lose your chance to be with Ruri at this rate!"
"But, what if we need to combine magic and science to save her? I had to take the risk!" The scientist's apprentice argued.
It was Senku's first time to hear the other boy's real intention. He knew he was desperate to merge the two subjects. He wasn't the type to pry. Chrome had his secrets to keep, but the lioness opened the topic that he couldn't help but feel curious about.
"Fine." She said before she walked out.
That was the first time Senku met Kohaku.
-------------------------------------------
After that incident, Chrome told him everything.
It turns out Kohaku's family was one of a kind. They were a long line of witches and warlocks whose blue eyes could clearly see the magic around them. That was the reason the girl knew he didn't possess any magic.
As the family had plenty of magic, they headed the coven Chrome belonged. The current head was Kohaku's sister, Ruri. She was powerful, but her body couldn't take the amount of magic she kept inside. It was killing her. The only solution they could find before was to transfer her magic into crystals. However, it wasn't enough.
Chrome's proposal was a peculiar idea - contain Ruri's magic using a science invention reinforced with fortifying spells.
The boy almost got kicked out of the coven because of the suggestion. Because of it, he started studying science and ancient spells in secret. He understood sorcery since he grew up in a magical family. It was then he knew he needed a science teacher.
Senku was up to date after that conversation.
The scientist knew they would need help from the coven. The issue was that they might not be willing to help. Another option was having an influential mage in the coven added to the team.
And the only one who matched the description was Kohaku.
"Senku." Chrome knocked on his door. He sidestepped to reveal the blonde.
"I'm sorry." She bowed her head. "Please let me help you save my sister."
With a smirk, Senku once again held out his hand. "Welcome to the team."
Kohaku shook hands with him this time.
-------------------------------------------
It's been months since their team increased in size.
Their team consisted of elite scientists and two scientist-mages before Kohaku joined. One little witch and four warlocks from the coven became members soon after. It didn't seem much, but the research quickly progressed because of it.
Chrome offered a fresh perspective on tackling both science and magic. Senku and Xeno worked mostly on science. Joel and Kaseki focused on crafting the container. Ginro, Kinro, and Suika provided information on different kinds of magic. Kohaku and Ukyo's abilities allowed them to check the results. And with their collective efforts, they were able to create a prototype.
They only had to go out and test it.
"Kohaku, is this place really okay? Shouldn't we go somewhere else?" Chrome asked as he looked around the forest.
"It's perfect. No one will come here, and it's a good magic hotspot." Kohaku answered. "Besides, Ukyo would know if someone is heading our way."
Ukyo nodded. "The magic here is compatible with Kohaku. I also cast an invisibility spell just in case."
"Let's start the experiment then," Senku announced, holding out the circular device to the witch. "Lioness."
"I'm not a lioness." She took the device and walked away from them. "You might all want to step back."
And, they did.
Kohaku recited a few spells, and, before anyone knew it, the wind picked up around her. The leaves were violently plucked from their branches due to the intensity. The water from the pond floated and created violent torrents around them. They even felt the tiny vibrations of the ground from where they were standing.
A disaster was possible if the girl wanted it.
However, the image immediately changed. A simple wave had calmed mother nature. A flick of Kohaku's wrist and the wind gently blew in the direction of the device. Even the water softly flowed like small streams.
It was during that time that the serene expression on Kohaku reflected her magic.
"Miss Kohaku is certainly elegant," Xeno commented from beside Senku.
Senku wasn't the type to let his feelings surface. He wasn't also one to express his emotions. Yet, he couldn't help but nod in agreement.
He never believed in fairies, but he thought he saw one today.
-------------------------------------------
"Good work for today."
"We'll be taking our leave now."
"Good night, Senku, Kohaku."
"Take care on your way home!"
With that, Senku and Kohaku were left alone in the laboratory.
After finishing the device, they decided to have a drink in the laboratory. Everyone drank as a celebration of literally being a step closer to their goal. There were no more tests to run anymore, and the days of making a prototype were long gone. They didn't have to work late starting the day after.
The only thing left for tomorrow was to have Ruri use the device.
The scientist and the mage continued to sit in silence. Both were staring at their full wine glasses. They weren't sure how many bottles of wine entered their system. However, the amount still didn't feel enough.
It felt like something was missing.
"I wasn't expecting to work with a scientist," Kohaku said as she tried to dispel the silence.
Senku chuckled. "And, I wasn't expecting to work with a lioness."
She didn't dare to comment on her nickname this time. Instead, she raised her glass with a smile. "To scientists and mages."
"To scientists and mages." Both of them made a toast and sipped at the warming beverage.
Now that they were hours away from accomplishing their goal, the two opened themselves. There was so much tension between them in the past months. They always pushed it down that they weren't sure when it started. In a heartbeat, they closed the distance between them. Logic and thoughts flew right out of the window, and they let their bodies do the talking.
Needless to say, no one heard anything from Senku and Kohaku until the next day.

Up Late -> S. Ishigami
Hey I physically cannot get Senku mf’ing Ishigami off my brain and it is one in the morning, so time for nighttime concepts written by ya girl :3 This is sorta a headcanon/short oneshot scenario combination that I made on the spot. Hope you enjoy it!
Good gracious I just love him and wanna give him a hug, is that too much to ask for
*****
As much as he claims to be against the thoughts of himself in a romantic relationship, Senku would sacrifice a limb for the people dear to him in situations of vulnerability and the like (ahem,,, nearly crying after hearing his friends’ voices over the phone after so long apart, making cola for Gen on multiple occasions, etc.). Therefore I reject the idea that you’d always have to be the one to initiate intimate moments between you both, and will today entertain soft Senku appearing at night time. He’s very often awake later than others in the village because he has a hard time reigning in all his thoughts and plans quickly, and if you happen to catch him at these hours it is a blessing and a half. Not that you’ve told him that.
He’s still his joking and oddly charismatic self, of course, but he’s noticeably more attentive. Things like, “you need rest if you’re gonna keep working tomorrow” and, “it’s not the smartest to be out in this colder weather, you know” fall from his mouth and into the crisper night air if he encounters you milling about without much rhyme or reason. If he’s working on something smaller in the little observatory house, you’ll get invited up to look through his telescope at all the gorgeous stars — ones that seem to twinkle that much brighter in the comfortable presence of each other.
One moment Senku’s tinkering with one of his little projects to wind himself down, and the next he’s quietly watching as you lean out of the makeshift observatory’s opening, looking up at the sky with such contentment reflecting back from your own observing gaze that it makes him unreasonably intrigued.
“Wouldn’t you rather see everything up there a bit closer with the telescope?” He inquires a bit jokingly, the subtle smirk in his tone clear as the night display above. Yet your mouth only twitches upwards at his question, and the scientist who almost always has a logical explanation for things simply grows more interested.
“It’s pretty just taking everything in at once, too,” you hum thoughtfully. “Don’t you think?”
He does. As much as he likes seeing all the pieces that make up the contents of the universe beyond, looking up at it now in one big framework seems to give him that usual feeling of exhilaration.
Maybe you contributed to the scene as well, as Senku takes note of the way you balance on your tiptoes before rocking back onto your heels, really for no good reason but entertaining him all the same. And he’s barely even thinking about it further as he places his things safely to the side and stands to his feet, wandering over to get a better look at what you’ve become so enraptured with.
Your eyes swim with the light of billions of stars that stare down at the village, glossy with something that neither you nor him can really pinpoint, and Senku offers a light nod in response to your earlier question. The little gesture in your peripheral causes you to crack a smile, and it only sticks around longer when the crimson-eyed boy slips off his winter jacket to hand over.
“If you stay out of bed any more today, the cold won’t be very forgiving,” he notes, and to his satisfaction, you take the warm article of clothing without further persuasion.
“I might stick around for a bit,” comes your reply. “The walk back does not sound all too appealing at the moment, but I’ll get the motivation eventually. Hopefully.”
He scoffs lightheartedly with a shake of his head. Stubborn, he thinks, just like how you would sometimes get before the whole petrification phenomenon. He quite liked it. Back then and right now.
“You know,” he starts, slowly turning away from the roof’s opening, “if you’re that opposed to going back, there’s room here.”
The offer is menial and simple, something Senku would offer up no matter the person to which he was speaking, but he’s truly hoping that you’ll say yes to the proposition. You shift in position to lean your jacket-covered back against the wooden wall, soft smile and warm figure the only thing running through the young scientist’s head as he tilts his head to look back at you.
“If you wouldn’t mind housing me for the evening, I’d very much like to take up that offer.”
“I wouldn’t have asked if I minded, he points out, the faintest of grins tugging at the corners of his lips. “Come on, let’s go to bed.”
And you do - both of you. And maybe he lets you hold onto that winter coat until morning, because you melted into its warmth with so much ease that sleep overtook you in minutes, a gentle smile ever present as you nestled into the cozy fabric.
After the next few times that it happens, Senku gets a jacket made similar to his own and stores it beside the telescope, just in case you’d like to stay the night with him again.

Fic Spotlight
the trail so full of twists and turns by sesquidpedalian
Read here on ao3!
Platonic relationships are my bread and butter, and when I think of the Childhood Friends Trio, I really can’t get enough of the three of them and their dynamic, whether comedic, sweet, or heart-wrenchingly painful.
That said if you’re looking for a nice casual read (only 2556 words but very nicely contained as a fic) that hits all the buttons for “wholesome fluffy friendship” fic, try out this one on archive of our own and you won’t be disappointed. It’s framed around the steps of the scientific method, with everyone’s favorite emotionally constipated scientist reflecting on his relationship with Taiju and Yuzuriha in a well written display of what I would characterize as someone figuring out how to express platonic love. Our time on earth is short and it’s nice to let your friends know you really care, and I really like how that’s handled here.
Special mention to a scene where Senku tries to wingman for Yuzuriha because that always makes me laugh!
Quote Spotlight under the cut for some of my favorite bits from this fic (trying out something different this time):
They don’t end up going to a museum. Senku finds that sitting on that blanket tinkering with the fan, listening to Taiju and Yuzuriha chatter away, is perfectly acceptable. Despite the heat and the ants and the sugar sticking to his fingers, he could be fine there forever.
She laughs, accustomed to him, all of him, by now. “Yes. In the least romantic way possible, I love you too.”
He needs them back, here and with him, and he tells himself that it’s for Yuzuriha’s dexterity and not her smile, that it’s for Taiju’s brute strength and not his relentless enthusiasm, because otherwise he’d be staring straight into the sun.

Discoveries

Haven’t written in like months so yeahhh. and I already spent a lot of time on this so I couldn’t pair it with a sketch :p
An arrow whistles through the air, sharpened rock driving through the coarse wood. The owner frowns, a sigh escaping his lips as his arms relax back to his sides.
Missed again.
Ukyo stares at the scatter of arrows sticking out of their round target, each and every one stubbornly refusing to pierce the red circle painted smack dab in the center. Maybe it was because he skipped breakfast? Or perhaps it was the wind, or the noisy birds that sometimes cluttered his hearing. It’s actually pretty damn miraculous that none of his shots hit its intended mark. Today was just not his day.
The crunch of leaves and the soft patter of footsteps quickly pulled him out of his thoughts. Senku and Gen. Incredible ears allowed him to recognize the footsteps of the village chief and mentalist duo.
“-been working me to the bone! I’ve had to scramble between you and Kaseki-chan this whole morning because of one of your crazy projects!” Gen lectures, “I’m tired and you owe me a bottle of cola.”
“Yeah, yeah.” Senku waves off, an infuriating smirk spreading across his face. “Though your complaining may offset all that ‘back-breaking labor’ you’ve put in huh, Mentalist?”
“How rude!” An airy voice huffs, but Ukyo can tell there was no bite in that statement.
The bushes rustle as the pair came into sight, Senku with his pinky stuck in his ear and a pouting Gen right beside him. “Ah! Ukyo-chan! We’re about have lunch now.” Gen chirps, quickly changing his mood, “You haven’t eaten right?”
The archer was about to speak, but his stomach conveniently cut him off with a growl. “Ah...yeah.” The two words stumbling out of his mouth.
Ukyo may have been able to catch his fake impersonation of Lillian, but Gen doesn’t fail to notice the slight frown and tension in the white-haired boy’s posture. One look at the target embedded with a dozen arrows, all missing the middle red mark, was enough for the magician to understand.
The three start heading back to the village; Senku in front, eager to return to his experiments, with Gen and Ukyo right behind. “So what brings you two out here? I thought our village chief would never leave his lab.”
“Just thought some fresh air would be nice. Can’t stay cooped up in there forever, so I dragged him out.” Gen nodded wisely, eyes then narrowing with mischief. “It’s like walking a dog, or making sure your grandpa gets enough exercise.”
“The 1079 seconds I’ve spent walking here could’ve contributed towards making your cola, y’know.” Senku states loudly.
Gen jolts. “Why were you even counting in the first place, Senku-chan...”
Ukyo laughs softly at the two, and Gen decides that this current expression suited him much better than the previous gloomy one. And a wonderful idea comes to mind. Like a snake, his hand latches onto Ukyo’s side to give a few squeezes. The boy squeaks, emerald eyes nervously darting toward’s the offending hand.
“Oh~? Ticklish perhaps?”
“No! No, I was just- surprised.” And Gen just smirks, giving Ukyo no time to react as he pounces, wrestling to be on top.
“Oh Senku-chaaan, won’t you help me cheer up our dear friend here?” The magician calls, capturing one of Ukyo’s hand in his as the other starts kneading into the archer’s stomach. Ukyo immediately barks out a laugh, ears tinted with pink as his own giggles flooded the forest. “NOHOHohoo! No!”
Senku looks back in slight surprise and interest. He figured Gen would do something about Ukyo’s saddened state, but he never expected the mentalist to be this hand-on. Senku shrugs away the thoughts, why not join in all the fun? “Well, I can’t overwork one of my labor sources if they’re all dejected.”
“Ah, blunt as always, our chief.” Gen dramatically sighs, but then grins as Senku walks over, settling himself behind Ukyo’s head. “Be a dear and hold these for me will you?” He smiles sweetly, allowing Senku to firmly grasp Ukyo’s wrists. Of course the trapped boy tries to squirm his way out, but once those devious fingers returned to scribble at his sides, it felt like his strength was being sapped away. “Wait! Wahaahait!”
Ukyo is very glad that he’s the one with crazy hearing and not someone else in the village, because knows someone will pick up on his peals of laughter. And it didn’t help that Gen was unfairly meticulous with his attack. With Ukyo’s hands pretty much out of the way, his fingers sought out every spot, each receiving a reaction that ranged from smothered chuckles to full-blown, head-thrown-back, honest laughter.
“Ohh such a bright voice, how adorable.” The magician coos as he flutters his digits around the archer’s neck, earning a weird stare from Senku. Gen just sticks his tongue in retaliation, but it’s not like Ukyo can pay attention to the interaction anyways since he’s being tickled to death. “You’re always so soft-spoken and reserved. How amusing it is to see- or I guess hear- this side of you, Ukyo-chan!”
“NahahAHT! Nahat amUhuhusing! NOHOHOT THEHEHERE!”
“Just see it as payback for almost shooting me with an arrow that one time!” Gen grins devilishly, relentlessly clawing at the boy’s sides. “I was soooo scared!” And Ukyo only laughs in response, his own chortles interrupting each attempt to speak.
“I- Ihihi waHAHA-!”
“Hmm? What was that?”
“Wahahasn’t aiming aHAHat youhuhu!”
“Bet he wishes he had driven that arrow right through your head now.” Senku snickers, and Gen glares back.
“Hey! You’re in this too, so you’d be next, Senku-chan.”
The two continue bickering, but the speed of Gen’s hands doesn’t let up. Even with his attention divided, the mentalist is scary good at eliciting those sweet giggles. Sometimes he’ll use a lighter touch and then increase the pressure, causing Ukyo’s laughter to go up and down. Other times his fingers will lightly tease an area, just to randomly shoot somewhere else, keeping Ukyo guessing.
It was until the boy’s voice has gotten a little raspy that Gen knew when to stop. The magician wasn’t trying to kill his friend, so he pulled back with a smile, allowing Ukyo to greedily gasp for air. “Hope you’re not sulking anymore, or else...” Gen trails off ominously, wiggling his fingers.
A bit light-headed, Ukyo nods vigorously, body going limp as he continued to get his breathing under control. “You hah...you guys are terrible.”
Gen chuckles, standing up to stretch, “I know! Senku-chan is such a meanie right? Let me know if you want revenge.” He winks.
“Huh? Again, this whole thing was your doing, Mentalist.” Senku smirks challengingly, “Ukyo, let’s teach him a lesson. Chief’s orders.”
“Ehh? That’s no fair.”
The three then break out laughing, the atmosphere light and refreshing.
“Hey, thanks by the way. It sucked, but I’m feeling a bit better now.” Ukyo says, pushing himself up into a sitting position.
“Mhm, and I’m hungry so let’s get going.”
“Anything to help.” Gen purrs smugly, and Ukyo is very keen on wiping that look off his face. The magician reaches out a hand, and Ukyo takes it, pulling himself up while yanking Gen down to fall on top of Senku. The white-haired boy, face still a bit flushed from the tickle treatment, couldn’t help but snicker as he patted himself off.
“I can hear your heartbeats quicken when you’re near each other, by the way.” Ukyo smiles down at the pair, mischief lighting up his eyes as he watched his friends scramble off each other, red crawling up their necks. “See you guys back at the village!”

Late night chats
Xeno was off relocating a satyr, so Senku was free to pad down the stairs of the home he shared with his mentor in his boxers, an old shirt, and socks. Besides, it was late, with a heavy, full moon in the dark sky, so even if his mentor was there, it wasn't likely that he'd be out of his room at such an hour. So, the leek-haired man wasn't expecting to come into the kitchen to rummage through the fridge for a late-night snack and find a familiar split-haired succubus sitting on the counter with his tails swaying lazily in the darkness.
For a moment, Senku didn't register the demon when he was revealed by the slice of pale light, but then he whipped his head around and stared at the succubus.        "uh? Excuse me, what the fuck are you doing in my house?" The demon shrugged,        "I wanted to see you again! After all, you're quite the interesting man, Senku-chan," That made the leek's cheeks turn toasty for a moment before he cleared his throat,        "Have you not met an asexual hunter before? Or at all?" He asked, and Gen thought for a moment, then shrugged,        "Not really, or...well, I haven't talked to many of the asexuals I've run into. As a sex demon, I tend to focus on feeding, and, as you've proven, I can't feed on those who have no sexual attraction to me, so" He hopped down from the counter to punctuate the statement, "But that's not why I'm interested in you. You intrigue me because you're the first hunter to have asked me about my biology, most just want to banish me." As he spoke, he sidled over to the hunter, coiling a tail around one of his arms and batting his blue eyes at the man.
However, Senku just watched him in the white light of the still-open fridge, gauging his intentions. I should just throw him out. It's super sketchy to have a SEX demon in my home so suddenly. He told himself, his crimson eyes watching the strong, white, tail around his arm squeeze the limb, kind of like how a girl would with a guy she likes, However, this could also be a chance to ask more questions and get more primary sourced answers.
For a moment, the monster hunter pondered the predicament. Then, after some thought, decided to take the risk,         "Well, alright. I guess we can sit in the living room for a while and talk a bit more, but then you have to go. I don't want you sticking around while I sleep." Senku said, looking at Gen with a firm look that left him no room to argue his case, so instead, the succubus nodded and smiled brightly. So, Senku shut the fridge at last and led the succubus into the living room to sit on the pleather couch.          "I'm gonna guess you want to ask about my species, again?" Gen hummed as he released Senku's arm and flopped onto the couch, watching the hunter nod and pouting in return, "Fine, but I want you to ask about me too. I'm more than a specimen," the succubus sniffed, Senku just snorting,          "Alright, how old are you?"          "I am about 25 years old," The leek plucked up a notebook and pen from a side table and began taking notes as Gen sat up properly with a chirp, "My turn! How old are you?"           "I'll be turning 21 this year. Do you breed like humans do, or are sex demons only made through lustful souls? Matter of fact, how do you even create a sex demon?" He fixed his strawberry-colored eyes on the demon, who thought          "I know I was born from two demons, so I guess that answers your first question. As for the second, I don't know, I haven't tried to impregnate anyone." he shrugged.
Senku continued to note down all of the answers he got while Gen watched and waved his tails while thinking up his next question,         "Do you live here alone?~" The flirtatious tone in the demon's voice wasn't acknowledged as the man wrote,         "No, I live here with my monster hunting mentor. He and my father are friends, and Byakuya thought me staying with Xeno would be the safest way for me to learn. Do you have any sensitive areas?" Senku looked up from his notes to see that Gen was staring at him, obviously wanting to question him, but he'd moved the conversation along too fast. So, he instead feigned bashfulness,          "Oh, Senku-chan! How inappropriate, asking about my erroneous areas!" Senku swat at him while he giggled,          "Just answer the question, you perv,"          "mmm, well, I don't want to." He decided, "I haven't been asked a single personal question before now, and suddenly you want me to divulge my secrets?" Senku grimaced, having forgotten that the demon wanted him to ask more about him as a person, Would asking about his family life be TOO personal? But asking about his favorite foods feels too easy... He spent a long moment humming and hawing, not liking the way Gen's dark blue eyes looked so hurt,           "A-alright, what do you do as a hobby?" He finally asked, and the pain in his chest instantly went away when the demon's face lit up like a child's at Christmas,           "I enjoy doing magic tricks! I love the confusion and astonishment it can cause!" he crowed, his tails wagging like a happy dog. So, Senku went into the kitchen and dug a deck of cards from one of the drawers. He then brought them to the demon, finding he enjoyed the wholesome smile they brought to the odd demon's face.
After that, the duo sat and Gen did card tricks for the hunter. Normally, the leek-haired man would've had no interest in the show, since he didn't believe in magic, but he found himself enjoying the challenge of debunking each trick with logic. In turn, the demon seemed to enjoy doing the tricks and explaining them to the curious hunter.
With that, the original question was forgotten, and, once he'd run out of tricks to show, Gen was free to move on to his turn.          "I'm sorry if this seems rude, but how come someone as smart as you is training to be a monster hunter? Do you maybe have a fetish for inhuman creatures?~" Senku snorted at the implication, picking his notebook back up to continue his notes on his turn,         "I'm only working as a monster hunter to save for college. I wanna work for NASA and build rockets, my only interest in monsters is figuring out what makes you tick." He punctuated the answer by jabbing the succubus in the arm, snickering as he feigned pain,          "Do you have venom or anything? If so, is it some form of aphrodisiac?" He watched the demon stretch out on the dark pleather couch, thinking for a bit,          "I don't think so? I've only really bitten someone during feeding, so I can't say if it would be an aphrodisiac or something else," he admitted with a shrug, and Senku wrote that down before thrusting his arm at the demon,         "Try to bite me.” Sadly, the words had left his mouth before his brain could veto the plan. He had no real plan for if the succubus' potential venom did anything other than arousing him, he'd just wanted to experience the effects and determine whether or not he could feel it being injected, not just the effects.
Thankfully for him, Gen shook his head and pushed his arm back,         "Sorry, Senku-chan, maybe another time," The leek nodded quickly, his face feeling hot and his stomach twisting under the threat of him upchucking. After that, he simply asked the demon more questions about himself, hoping to make up for the weird request until they both began to yawn and the hunter's thoughts felt too much like sand to formulate good questions.
At that point, he put his notebook aside and stood up, stretching with yet another yawn,          "I think it's time for you to go, I'm gonna head to bed," he hummed, and the succubus nodded, getting up himself,          "Can I come back some other time?"          "So long as it's not at 3 am again, go for it, this was fun," The two smiled at one another at that, and said goodbye without too much more fanfare before splitting for bed.

Stone Skipping || CH2 ; 𝘢 𝘣𝘪𝘨 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳'𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘯
Tumblr media
Half a year had passed since [name] and Senku had been revived at the very same day. Experiments were conducted, their home slightly improved, but the two had still made no other progress with the revival serum. Despite that, neither had given up, instead opting to continue trying.
The two teenagers had been gathering sticks in an area near their home, each having an axe of their own. “[nickname],” Senku looks down at their form, who sat in the very same branch he was standing on. Said person looked up at him, tilting their head. “You brought the basket, right?” They nodded in response, silently pointing at the basket below their branch. He nodded thankfully, adjusting the sticks gathered in his arms.
He could see them move to take it from his grasp, but he gave a pointed look, saying, “Don’t you dare take it. I already made you carry three other baskets back home.” A pout overtook their face, but nonetheless, they nodded and sat back down as he cut even more sticks from the upper branches.
rustle, rustle
step, step, step
[name] perked up at the sounds, turning their head to look past Senku’s form. Not even a moment later, an oh-so-ever-familiar form popped from the bushes as he pushed it aside, breathing heavily. The smile on their face widened as Taiju’s eyes widened at the sight of the duo. “S-Senku..! [nickname]!” His eyes teared up.
I found them! They’re alive!
From beside the shorter teenager, Senku smirked at him. “Kukuku, so you finally woke up, eh? You great big oaf, stop making your sibling worry for so long. You don’t want to see them with white hair so quickly, now do you?” He quickly moved down from the tree, offering his hand to [name] after, helping them down.
Immediately upon the teenager’s safe landing on the floor, Taiju started wailing, opening his arms to hurriedly give a hug their way. Not even concerned in the slightest, all [name] did was open their arms, beaming right back.
"You're alive, you're alive!! Senku, [nickname]! I c-can't believe it.."
Well, if [name] wasn't the slightest bit concerned, Senku most definitely was. Placing a foot on his face, the male hurriedly pushed the shortest out of Taiju's way, which ended up being behind him. "Don't hug either of us when you're buck naked, idiot! I'll fucking kill you!" [name] gave his back a pat, shaking their head. "Sen-chan, don't be too mean. You know it's completely just how Tai-chan is." They smiled, turning to the said person. "It's nice to see you after so long.. I would give you a hug, but.. I don't think Sen-chan would let me."
Taiju returned his sibling figure's smile. "It's okay! I get it.." He scratches his head sheepishly, laughing it off. "I think?" They giggled in response, motioning their head to follow them, which he did. Starting their trek back home, Senku spoke, "As of today, it's October 5th, in the year 5738 AD. How long you planning on sleeping in, huh?"
He pointed at [name], who was beside him, skipping as they went. "We've been awake and working for over a half a year now." Taiju blinked in surprise, the information slowly processing in his brain as seconds passed. "Huh?" The brawn of the group looked over to the other brain, confusion evident on his face. "How does Senku know just precisely what the date is..?"
[name] closed their eyes and smiled at him. "Sen-chan just counted, is all." Senku picked at his ear, scoffing. "As if there's another way of keeping track."
Another slow moment of processing.
"..So then, inside that darkness.. the whole time, you.." He glanced at [name] once more. "Did you too..?" His tone of voice had softened considerably, and so had his features. They shook their head. "It was just him, and I knew even then." They smiled and looked forward as Senku pushed aside the branches ahead of them.
"Even if I was able to wake up through sheer willpower alone.. If I were to wake up without means of survival in the midst of winter and with no food supply, it'd be game over. That's why, in order to survive, it was essential that I start in spring."
"That's also precisely why Sen-chan needs an accurate calendar," [name] added, "He wouldn't be able to know otherwise, and luck would be too much of a risk to depend on." Taiju placed a hand under his chin, opening his mouth to ask another question when Senku jerked his head to the front. "Hey, we're here. Don't just stand around gawking, get your ass over here and help out."
Brown eyes widened in astonishment. It wasn't no fancy house, but it was stable and enough. A simple rack made of sticks and vines leaned on the tree's huge trunk, holding several stone spears. "I haven't had enough manpower. [nickname] was of great help, but I didn't want to burn them out than what was necessary. That'd be stupid, I'd be working the only other person in this world death. It took up to an entire day of just drawing up life and survival plans on my own, while they hunted for food and materials. To progress forward into some kind of civilization from here.." He trailed off, glancing behind him to where the two stood, listening to his explanation.
"We've been waiting for you all this time," Taiju pointed to himself, confusion heavily lacing his face. "Yes, you, damnit Taiju. We waited for you because we were both ten billion percent sure that you were alive!" [name] walked forward, now beside the scientist. "You decided to tell Yuzu-chan about your feelings prior to the petrification, and we both knew Tai-chan well enough to know that you wouldn't give up after deciding so."
"Especially not after being cut off in the middle of a man's resolve," he huffed and smirked. "You weren't ball-less to the point of giving up and throwing in the towel after just a measly thousand years!"
Taiju looked down, clenching his fist. It was silent for a few seconds, but as always, with them, it doesn't last long. The fiery determination they had gotten accustomed to seeing had returned ten-fold, and they could only stare as he agreed.
"You're damned right!"
The scientist of the quartet looked over at his assistant. "Can ya get him some damn clothes already?" His nose scrunched in disgust as he pointed shakily at the muscular student, earning a confused and completely innocent look in return. [name] laughed at his obvious disgruntlement, nodding. "I'll go get clothes for Tai-chan!" They waved before carefully climbing their so-called ladder and hurrying inside.
◇─◇──◇─────◇──◇─◇
It didn't take long before Taiju had gotten his clothes, and before [name] was forced to rest by the one and only scientist of the group. The two had bickered back and forth repeatedly; Senku insisted that they take a break, since they apparently wouldn't be getting a lot even with Taiju around. Despite his confusion, Taiju agreed with this, making them reach a compromise.
[name] would rest just as the two wanted them to, but not up in the hut. Instead, they'd be napping on a covered area on the ground near the fire Senku was trying to make.
"When we need to use our heads.. I'll leave the thinking up to the two of you, Senku." Taiju glanced at his napping sibling. "And when we need to use our bodies.. you leave that to me." Senku glanced over as well. They looked comfortable enough, not at all irritated by the grass or the fire crackling nearby. Sleeping like a baby, they simultaneously thought, amused.
Senku turned towards Taiju once more. The time humanity took to climb from the stone age to our previous civilization.. was two million years. But, we're going to dash all the way back to the top all at once. "We'll take back the world and I'll identify the scientific cause on why we turned into stone, and how we were revived.. with the help of [name]."
Careful not to shout as he usually does, Taiju nodded and added, "And then.. I'll save Yuzuriha!"
"Three high school kids.. are going to build civilization from zero. We'll become the Adam and Eve of this world." Senku smirked widely, standing up and placing his hands on his waist. "Now, things are starting to get exciting!"

The two were calm and quite frankly, inspired by each other's goals, only to panic as [name] sleepily moved around, adjusting their place during their sleep. They covered each other's mouths and stared worriedly down at the shortest of them three, but fortunately, they didn't wake up. Taiju and Senku looked at each other and nodded, vowing not to cause anymore noise.
Senku pointed at their tree house and mouthed, "Bring them up." The other caught on to this instantly and carefully scooped them up in his arms, making sure that they were comfortable and left asleep. Then, without much difficulty, Taiju brought them upstairs, his friend following in tow. He placed them down on their make-shift bed, pulling the extra animal skin they had used as a blanket over them not long after, patting their head affectionately.
Taiju blinked and turned to Senku. "Wait, so was it just you guys this whole time?" The male in question raised his eyebrow. "Yeah, it's just been us." Taiju stared at him, expecting him to say something. "Why are you staring at me like that for??" He opened his mouth, pointing as he whispered, "You didn't tell them about your fee—"
Senku quickly put a zip on his mouth, grumbling.
◇─◇──◇─────◇──◇─◇
The next morning, [name] had woken up to Senku and Taiju still sleeping. It must be pretty early still.. They pushed the blanket away from their form, standing up silently. The teen carefully walked down the ladder, keeping an eye out on the two until they were out of their vision. A yawn escaped their mouth as they stretched their arms and shoulders, shaking their head as they did. What to do..?
[eye color] eyes looked around. They could go hunting for food like mushrooms and animals, but it would be more efficient for Taiju to do it, because he was literal brawn. Though, maybe I should come with Tai-chan later on if he does end up gathering food.. He might take poisonous mushrooms along. [name] could make more jars or baskets, but Senku would most definitely scold them for working too hard. Again.
Honestly, they can't see what he's talking about.
So instead, they opted to walk towards the high school primate's statue. If they could remember correctly, which they could, Tsukasa Shishio's statue was not too far from Yuzuriha and the camphor tree.
True to their memory, it really wasn't far. No animals in sight, nor any other statues in his area. Nature's green, green, and more green is all that could be seen. Pretty, [name] smiled to themselves, gathering the bunch of dahlias and other flowers into their arms. Without much struggle at all, they weaved the bunch into a gorgeous flower crown, one that would surely fit snugly on Tsukasa's head.
They brought it on the male's head, fixing the vines and the petals softly, making sure that his vision wasn't obscured whatsoever. Next, they took a few steps back, admiring their work. As I thought, it does fit Tsuka-chan. [name] nodded in approval and sat down on a nearby root, humming a song they especially liked from back then.
I wonder how everything became like this.. A time-lapse would be interesting to see.
They looked down on the dirt. It was devoid of rocks, unlike the last few areas they've been in. Upon realizing, the teen immediately takes a stick and begins drawing on the ground. Three pairs of nubs.. three heads too. Leek for hair, spiky hair, wavy hair.. Rocket ship. Proud, they grinned and tilted their head, staring down at their work.
It wasn't the best of art, of course. It was merely three little chubby figures that represented the trio that they so deeply treasured. Their proud green faded, and soon, a frown had taken its place. Something's missing.. Quickly, [name] erased the rocket ship outline with their foot to make space. Then, without a shadow of a doubt, they added one more figure.
Long hair and buffy arms.. It's Tsuka-chan!
The grin from before returned anew. The rocket ship outline was quickly drawn again, and for this time, they were satisfied.
"I wonder if Tai-chan is already awake.. or Sen-chan.." They yawned and stood up, brushing away the not-so imaginary dirt around of their skirt. [eye color] eyes glanced behind to check on the statue one last time before smiling. "I'll see you soon, Tsuka-chan.."
With that, they turned back, walking back home.
◇─◇──◇─────◇──◇─◇
When they had arrived, the two were already awake and kicking, arranging their respective areas. Taiju had noticed them first, and with a happy shout, had alerted Senku as well. "You're back," the scientist nodded towards them in greeting. In contrast to his reaction, Taiju immediately got down from their little hut and bounded towards his sibling, hugging them tightly.
"Keep hugging them like that and they'll run out of air, you big idiot." Senku retorted as he followed suit, albeit less enthusiastically and more calmly. [name] only smiled in return, patting the taller on the back. "Big oaf, you up for gathering food?" Enthusiastically, the male in mention nodded his head, quickly taking a basket from nearby. [eye color] eyes glanced at the scientist, as if waiting.
Feeling their expectant stare, Senku snickered and picked at his ear with his pinky. "Of course, you're joining him too [nickname]. Keep him out of trouble, and make sure the idiot doesn't get himself attacked or poisoned." He pressed a hand against his mouth, as if trying to block the snickers.
Not that he was actually trying, though. It was actually the opposite.
Satisfied and amused, [name] closed their eyes and smiled, taking a basket as well. Taiju immediately dashes off, leaving a trail of dust behind him, and causing it to spread everywhere. [name] coughed and looked away from all the sand and dust before waving at the scientist. "We'll make sure not to take too long, Sen-chan.."
Senku gave another nod before turning away. The [hair color]-haired teen hurried, and with some effort, was able to catch Taiju before he could get too far from them.
"[nickname], what should we gather first?" [eye color] eyes looked around cautiously, taking in the environment. From what they could tell, there were some pigs nearby. The rustling as well as their familiar grunts is what gave it away. They quickly pressed a finger to their mouth, to which Taiju immediately silenced himself, waiting for their next order.
"There are pigs nearby. We don't know where the mushrooms are at right now, and since the pigs seem to be a closer choice, let's go with that.." [name] spoke as softly as they could, but loud enough for Taiju to still understand their message. He nodded in determination and moved to single-handedly take any pig on, but stopped as they placed a pale hand on their arm, halting him in his position. He looked towards his sibling in confusion, tilting his head.
[name] smiled at him and shook their head, motioning him to stay still, so he did. Taiju watched curiously as the teen quietly grabbed onto a branch and pulled their upper body up, causing them to now stand. Surprisingly enough, despite all the movement, the rustle of leaves seemed natural, as if it was just a rustle of the wind and not a teenager climbing a tree. He could only watch as [name] looked down at him from their position above, saying, "Please stay here, Tai-chan.. I'll bring them to you, so brace yourself to catch one or two, okay?"
Taiju beamed up at them. "Okay." He responded, lowering his stance and opening his arms wide. His sibling smiled at his determination and switched from tree to tree, getting closer to the area of the pigs, as evidenced by the growing sound of grunts. Few adults.. few young ones, [name] mused to themselves. Some squeals were pitched, but majority weren't.
I can't overwhelm Tai-chan with too many pigs. I can't trap them when they're this close either. The very best I can do is to get one or two younger pigs.. But how do I? They glanced around. They moved to another tree, one that was to the left of the pigs. Tai-chan is to the right. The pigs can't move to the north, there's no entrance or exit there. It's blocked. [name] quickly stood still and observed keenly from above.
There were four adults, but only two piglets to be seen. Sen-chan would be satisfied with one, or at the very most, two of them.
And so, they formulated a plan.
Without further a do, they dropped from the tree, not bothering to cover the noise. The pigs became alert, and soon enough, their eyes had caught on to the teen's form. They grew increasingly loud in sound and scattered, moving towards their left, the other remaining direction for escape. Quickly reacting, [name] ran towards the two mini-groups (stomping and making loud noise with their feet all the while), forcing the piglets to separate from their adults. This time, they moved towards Taiju's direction, just as they had planned.
[name] immediately began creating even more noise, as well as increasing their speed. In panic, the pigs hurried even closer towards Taiju's direction.
Any moment now. [eye color] eyes made contact with familiar brown ones, and they nodded. Taiju shouted as he tackled the two piglets into his grasp, making the shorter of the two smile and stop abruptly. With heavy breathing, they helped him place one piglet in each of their baskets.
"That was a good idea, [nickname]!" Taiju laughed and gave them a particularly hard pat on the back in congratulations, causing them to lose all the air they had regained and double over, coughing all the while.
"Ack— I'm sorry [nickname]!!"
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
"Wow, you guys got so much," Senku stared down at the two's baskets, which now sat on the floor. "You got some crazy cheats going with your endurance there, Taiju.." He trailed off as he glanced to his assistant. "You didn't just dash wherever did you? [nickname] looks like they went through a hurricane." The scientist laughed as he pointed at them.
He wasn't wrong there. The poor [hair color]-haired teen had their hair all over their face, with tangles way more than they'd like. Leaves, petals, and even sand had gotten into their hair as well; Senku could only wonder what the hell Taiju had put them through to come back this haggard. [name] only smiled patiently as Taiju turned red in embarrassment, causing him to laugh even more.
"He did exactly that, actually.." Their words only made Taiju shout apologies, to which they shook their head at in amusement. "I couldn't stop him at all, sorry Sen-chan.." They chuckled and jokingly bowed their head in apology. Senku snickered again and walked towards them, patting away all the sand away from their hair. He removed the leaves and petals along the way, tugging gently at the strands that had gotten tangled.
"Don't you worry about it at all. I can't blame you when he's like this." He ignored Taiju's pouting at the side and only continued fixing his [hair color]-haired friend's head. It didn't take much arranging to actually clean [name] up, and soon enough, all was well. They smiled at him gratefully and he returned it slightly before backing away and moving towards the baskets.
Taiju watched in curiosity as he sat on the ground, expecting him to do something completely different, only to see him blatantly separating what they had found. [name], on the other hand, watched in amusement at their brother's reaction as Senku began listing them all off. "Amanita virosa, poisonous! Hypsizygus tessellatus, brown clamshell, edible! Amanita muscaria, Fly agaric, poisonous! Can't you just tell that thing's no good?! It looks like it came from Mario!"
With every mentioned name, Taiju's confused and aghast expression worsened, making them chuckle. "Calm down, Sen-chan.. That was a pretty good haul for the first time. I'm sure Tai-chan will take that into mind next time?" The two looked over to him. One stare was filled with doubt, and the other was one of utter patience and belief. Taiju doesn't respond, only choosing to blink at them in confusion. Senku sighed, "He probably won't, you know. Oh well, I'll bid you good luck when the time comes."
The scientist takes a few of the edible mushrooms and placed them on the sticks over the fire. The trio surrounded the fire they had made in silence, waiting for Senku's word. He first handed a decent-sized one over to Taiju, then proceeded to give an even bigger mushroom to the other teen. [name] blinked slowly as Senku gave them a stern glance. "Get some more fat in your bones, you look like you could get blown away by the wind any moment now."
From beside the [hair color]-haired teen, Taiju also added, "You always ate too less during lunch time too! Get some more food!" He immediately begins handing more mushrooms over to them, with Senku following right away. "I don't think I can stomach t-this much, you two.." [name] gently pushed the food away and just stuck with the one the scientist had given them. "But, I guess I can try eating this one at least..?" they smiled.
It wasn't the best compromise, but it satisfied the two males enough to leave them alone for now. Taiju took the first bite, making [name] and Senku stare expectantly. "D-Delicious!" He shouted in glee, "What'd you season these with?!" Senku grinned and begin taking normal-sized bites into his food as well.
"Just regular old salt that [nickname] and I extracted from the sea water. With just salt added, humans can eat just about anything. Salt is also indispensable when preserving food, and probably was the primitive man's greatest discovery." He explained. Taiju, upon finishing his mushroom, thanked the male whole-heartedly. "For all the things things I'd never be able to figure out! Both of you. I'll repay you in kind with determination and strength!"
He then finished his food and stood up, puffing his chest out in determination. Without even a warning, he took a basket and scurried off, shouting, "All right!! Time to go gather on the back side!"
Senku had opened his mouth to tell him that it was okay, but he had already been too far from their sight. He shook his head and turned to his side, where they sat with an amused smile and a still completely unfinished mushroom. "I don't get how you can keep up with him. He has too much stamina, he has got to be cheating with something." He grumbled, and gathered the sticks his friend had left into his hands. "Should you really be asking me that, Sen-chan? You have known them longer than I have, if anything, I'm surprised you've survived this long.." [name] chuckled and continued eating.
"Speaking of which, the back side is near towards the cave where you came from, right, Sen-chan?" The scientist hummed in confirmation. "Yeah, why?" He glanced over his shoulder, seeing them stand up and brush away any dirt that could have gotten on their skirt. "Maybe we should follow Tai-chan, he might assume there's someone else out there aside from us if he sees the pot.." Not expecting it, Senku let out an amused scoff. "I wouldn't be surprised if he did, he is a big oaf after all. Sure, let's go. His mind can go to absurd places and it'd be easier to explain when we're there."

[ Author's Note ] // So far, these are all the chapters I've pulled from quotev. As of this very moment, I'm working on two separate chapters: a 100-hearts special, and the next regular chapter. For those of you who found this in Tumblr, I made a poll before on what the readers would like for the special. As it turns out, 'Crossover Traveling' won. No one really expressed what they wanted aside from my friends, who I asked personally. I ended up choosing Kimetsu no Yaiba as your destination. That's all for this note, thank you so much for reading, and for your time!

Series I’m Reading in 2021
My favorite manga all come from Shonen Jump. A lot of series ended last year, and a lot of new series started, so I thought I’d do a post with a quick recap of all the manga I’m currently keeping up with in jump, and my favorite things about them.
Tumblr media
My Hero Academia - My two favorite manga are both reaching the ends of their biggest arcs yet, and that’s been exciting but also exhausting to read week from week.
MHA’s strength lies in its ideas and the scope of its ambitions. There’s few stories in shonen jump that work with such broad ideas, in trying to define hero and villain and giving the villains so much depth that the main character’s ultimate foil Shigaraki Tomura, feels more like a deuteragonist to the story, a second protagonist for the other side of the story rather than an antagonist.
It’s a creative story,  with neat little ideas. Giving an entire arc to the villains was taking an actual risk. From a story that began wrapped entirely around Deku’s perspective, the story has evolved to balance the perspective  of multiple different characters who all come into conflict with each other. The best part of the war arc is that there’s no real good guys in a story with clear and distinct entities that label themselves “heroes’ and “villains.” The heroes are allowed to have impure motives, and do impure deeds. The villains are allowed to have noble motivations, and genuinely care for one another. This is all good because it’s not boring. A boring, simple, story where good defeats evil has been told a hundred times, My Hero Academia shines the brightest when it tries to do something different.
Tumblr media
Jujutsu Kaisen - If MHA’s strength lies in creativity, then JJK’s is in technical execution. If you compare the first 27 chapters of MHA and JJK just in the way that they develop the stakes, story, and ideals, JJK accomplishes a lot more in the same time.
I’m not saying JJK is better, just that it tells its story better in some ways. MHA is in the middle of a tournament arc, whereas in JJK we see the first major emotional blow of the story. A character which was set up to be saved, and who everyone expected to be saved is instead killed and this has permanent ramifications for both Yuji’s development and the threat the villain presents.
That’s why the Shibuya Arc has so much impact , despite only having 100 chapters of build up before it. Jujutsu Kaisen introduces a lot of characters, and then quickly develops them and the ideas that surround that character in a way that it feels like every time they’re on screen they are growing and changing in a way. It’s because things are continually changing in the story all the time, that every single time the story hits you it feels like a gut punch. There’s no one safe, no status quo, just a world that you know is going to change by the end of the story. Jujutsu Kaisen is good. Everyone should read Jujutsu Kaisen.
Tumblr media
Mission: Yozakura Family - Katekyo Hitman Reborn used to be one of my favorite manga in shonen jump, which gave me a weakness for manga with big mafia families where everry single character has one special quirky and eccentric power.
Yozakura Family is also reaching a similiar pont that Reborn did, where after a year of publication it’s not doing well enough as a weekly gag manga and is starting to focus to a more serious with an overarching plot, and a fighter. The main female and main male protagonist have a relationship that actually develops which makes me soft for the two of them because I want to see the story improve and see where the author wants to take them.
Tumblr media
Our Blood Oath - There’s been a trend towards horror series in the recent newcomers in jump, which is great because I am all about horror. A series full of vampires using their blood to cut each other up is an easy sell to me.
Stories in jump generally don’t tend to develop until they’ve lasted an entire year, but I like a lot of things that Our Blood Oath has started with. I love the series focus on adopted family, and the relationship between the two brothers. The main character genuinely acts like a bratty younger brother, and wields unlimited power exactly like a twelve year old swinging around a blood scythe would. Which is to say, very badly.
Tumblr media
Phantom Seer - Another newcomer series that leaves a strong impression. The things that the series has going for it so far is a really strong main character, who’s a pretty far deviation from the standard shonen protagonist of “I want to save everyone.” Rather than wnating to be the strongest, or wanting to be a hero, he just wants a normal life, and instead gets dragged into heroics by the good intentions of the people he’s surrounded by.
The art is also incredibly strong for this series. I’m glad the artist got another chance to draw a shonen junmp series because their art really shines in both the character designs, and the curse designs. There’s incredibly unique monster designs that are equally parts horrifying and fascinating even though most of them only stick around for one chapter.
Tumblr media
Undead Unluck - Most Shonen Manga either figure out right away what the central conflict is, other manga never figure it out. Undead Unluck is like “fuck it, let’s kill god.”
Undead Unluck has a bad start, and normally I would never say “keep reading and give it a chance” if it gives you a negative first impression, but Undead Unluck quickly fixes a lot of mistakes in the first chapter. Andy at first says some creepy things towards the main character, but the author seemed to learn their lesson and made a lot of changes later on to make their relationship into a healthy one of consent and mutual affection.
The main characters and the story premise are what sell this one. A bunch of supernatural beings going out of their way to do the impossible and kill god. The plot is almost pure chaos, but I believe the two main characters are strong enough that you want to follow them all the way through it.
Tumblr media
Dr. Stone -  The best part of Dr. Stone is trying to unravel the mystery of the premise, how the world became turned to stone. Senku is a compelling protagonist because he’s constantly trying to solve the mystery around him, the same way the audience is.
Senku is a strong character, and there are other interesting ones like Gen, however sometimes the series while being a fun adventure the characters don’t really develop that much. However, there’s nothing better for a protagonist than a good antagonist. The best part of the america arc so far has been the introduction of an antagonist and foil to Senku. Instead of trying to rule through strength. Dr. Xeno views everything as a problem to be solved through science like Senku. He just also sees Science as a tool to rule others, unlike the fairly anarchistic Senku who doesn’t care for leadership.
Some of the most interesting charactermoments for Senku lies in his interactions, his similiarities and differences with Dr. Xeno, and the fact that they’re now forced to cooperate while Senku is technically holding Dr. Xeno hostage is an interesting building tension between these two. I’m following this series for two reasons, one I’m interested in how the mystery will be solved, and two I wonder what kind of person that Senku will become when he completes his goal of restoring humanity. Senku is the main draw of the series with his weird charisma, and his unique interest in science above everything else, and I think there’s still a lot of untapped potential to mine in his character.

Hello! I hope you're well. I was wondering if I could please request a fluffy one shot of senku coming across a similarly science minded reader surviving in the forest. Maybe he realises that he's fallen for her a little bit when he sees how smart she is? Thanks a bunch if you consider it, I love your writing :>
Tumblr media
Senku raised his eyebrow as his nose picked up a whiff of smoke in the air around him. He was currently breaking specific stones off a mountain side for their next project at the Kingdom of Science. Thing is, this smoke smelt odd... it’s not your average firewood smoke. It mostly smelt like burning plastic, but his team hadn’t gotten to that molding point yet, so it couldn’t be them. He noticed a trail raising in the sky of thin gray clouds near the beach. It was a bit of a ways walk, but he needed to know what was going on. If Tsukasa was up to something.
He poked his head out of a leafy bush, just about to the sandy beaches now. That burning odor was stronger so logically, he was very close. A light cough surprised him, and after moving a little, he pinpointed a female was the cause. Her clothes were nicely made compared to his rags and even beat out some of the villagers, a mix of animal skin, twin for stitches, fur for comfort. She had a small fire going under a large tree, probably trying to cover or disperse the smoke appearance, with what looked like plastic bottles melting and dripping into another container under it. His crimson eyes grew wide- where did she find plastic?! If she knew what it was, she must have been from their time. He noticed a well-built hutch farther behind her, it was very small so it must only be for her. The leak-head was still studying the woman when she looked directly over at the bush he was in.
“If you’re going to hide and watch me, it’d be better to pull down your hair a bit, sir.” She chuckled, standing to her feet from her stump that’s replaced a real chair. Senku sighed, he figured they might’ve heard him in the bushes, but he didn’t really consider his hair was sticking out. (Even if the tips did match the leaves.) Her aura didn’t give off a defensive or mischievous demeanor, but he was cautious.
“Yeah, I guess you got me there. But the smell of burning plastic gives your location away ten billion percent more.”
“I’m sure it does,” she smiled. “But I have no choice, it’s the only way to get things rolling.” Senku raised an eyebrow with a usual ‘ehh?...’ escaping his mouth. Playing dumb works at times like these, and thankfully it worked on her too.
“I need to disinfect and reform this trash to make other useful items or in other shapes at least. If I can make more containers my food can last a bit longer, or I can store clean water.” She continued on for a bit, describing how melting down the plastic and pouring it into molds she’s previously created will allow her to recycle what didn’t decompose, and how the bacteria would be killed. Senku slowly gained a huge stupid grin on his face and a small chuckle. She looked up a bit worried, almost slightly defensive like a maniac who just lost his last marble.
“No no, I’m sorry to worry you.” He rubbed the back of his neck. “I didn’t think I’d run into any more scientists at this point in time. I was expecting it to be much longer, but I can’t say I’m disappointed.” She made an ‘o’ shape with her lips, before she smiled too.
“So you like science too?”
In that moment, Senku knew he had a new, wonderful addition to his Kingdom of Science. Another person to help with preparations, know proper procedures and safety measures. He never felt alone but to have a person who knows science like he does felt like he was an obsessive gambler who finally won the big lotto ticket.
After he easily convinced her to return to the Kingdom with him, she proved her worth in seconds of being on the grounds. She explained things to Kohaku about how certain rocks played a role when building a furnace, or gave Gen a push when it came to physical labor. It never went unnoticed how much you helped him in the laboratory, giving second opinions or ideas, just having another hand who knows exactly what needs to be done. Gen pointed out to the scientist he always smiled when (y/n) was near, seemed more excited or overall joyful. It earned Gen a light blush from Senku when he realized he may have been falling for you. But you had known your feelings for Senku from the moment he found you.

Lost and Found
A Senku x Reader fic CH. 1
A/N:This is just the first chapter of something I’ve had in mind for a hot minute now. Will be kind of a slowburn fic!! Stay tuned!
——-
A month. It’s been a month since you were revived, and life in the stone age has...obviously taken some getting used to. No more electronics, air conditioning, or indoor plumbing. All things you, and the entirety of the human race, took for granted when you still had them.
Of course, it hasn’t been all bad. Sometimes it gets a little boring, but there’s still some fun stuff to do. New people to meet, and new skills to be able to master. Sometimes you might just find out that you have a real knack for foraging and gathering edible berries and such because if you didn’t try, you might just starve.
Well. Okay. That might be a little dramatic. You wouldn’t starve because it’s not like you’re on your own. There’s plenty of people here in the new little colony you now lived. Really, the worst thing that might happen if you didn’t pull your weight, is Tsukasa might not be too happy... and upsetting Tsukasa seemed like something you definitely didn’t want to do.
So, you cooperated, and you took your basket, and you went out to collect various berries, mushrooms, and other plants you could possibly, safely consume. You knew the surrounding forest like the back of your hand at this point. You’d been about as far as Tsukasa said you could go, and while at first it was a little fun to be able to explore, you were starting to get bored of having to stay within boundaries. Yes, these boundaries were routinely expanded due to the using up of resources, but it was still always the idea of having a set distance that you could go that made you feel so trapped.
Living in this stone age meant there were so many parts of the world waiting to be rediscovered. You’d been told it had been a good 3,000 years since you were petrified, and you weren’t a fool. You knew that obviously the geography of the Earth’s surface has changed significantly in that time. There are all sorts of new things about this planet now, and that’s exciting. This is not the same Earth you knew 3,000 years ago.
As you made your way through the trees and foliage of the forest, you found yourself looking ahead; Deep, deep into the forest. Parts that you had yet to become acquainted with. Who knows what you could find beyond the boundaries that had been set for you? It was then, impulsively, that you decided you were going to sneak away for a night. Just to see. Just to get a taste of what else was out there. You’d come right back. There’s no harm in that, right? You’d just have to be as sneaky as possible so not to alert anyone else. Piece of cake, right? Right.
Later that evening you got a little bundle of various supplies to take with you. A small portion of food, a small stone knife, and a few other smaller items you thought you might need just in case. As the sun began to set in the now pink and orange sky, you stepped out of your small, makeshift living quarters and surveyed the area around you. There were the higher-up, stronger, members of the village that patrolled the area, but they weren’t necessarily who you were concerned about. The ones that patrolled the grounds were mostly just a bunch of beefy meat heads that were fairly easy to outsmart.
No, the two people you were worried about, were Ukyo and Homura. They often kept to the trees or higher areas, keeping watch, and with Homura’s skills, and Ukyo’s insane hearing, sneaking out wasn’t going to be easy. Although you knew, that even though Ukyo had incredible hearing, he often missed his shots with that bow and those arrows. Whether it was on purpose or he was just an awful shot, you weren’t sure. But whatever it was, that made him the most preferred confrontation out of the two if you had to choose.
As the painted sky grew darker, you snuck past the other huts, remaining as quiet as you possibly could. Your eyes scanned the trees above you, searching for any sign that either of the people you were attempting to avoid were hiding just above you.
You’d made it successfully out of the village, and into the surrounding forest. Everything was going well so far. You thought you might just be able to pull this off without any issues. You could feel the excitement well in the pit of your stomach. This was happening. You were doing this. Finally getting to see what was beyond just the immediate forest around the village.
A little bit further at this point, and you’d be home free; Not having to worry about being quiet or stealthy. Just a little more..
SNAP.
Your whole body froze, and you held your breath. You’d stepped on a stick, and when it broke, the sound echoed throughout the dark forest. You closed your eyes and scrunched your eyebrows together, silently cursing yourself for making such a silly move.
Your eyes opened slowly, and you slowly turned to look up behind you. It was difficult to see, but it didn’t seem as if anyone was around. At least it didn’t until an arrow whizzed right past your head, catching a little bit of your hair as it flew by and stuck into the trunk of a tree behind you. Your blood ran cold. Ukyo.
You had no idea where he was, and you knew it was going to be near impossible to even come close to figuring that out. Without thinking one more moment about it, you ran. Immediately, more arrows bombarded you, sticking into the ground around you and into various trees, but none of them ever hitting you. The rain of arrows ceased the moment you stepped over the end of the boundary that had been set.
You kept running, though. Just in case. You didn’t understand why they didn’t continue to pursue you. Why not try harder to catch an escapee? Well. That’s not really what you were but..well maybe that IS what you were now. Tsukasa wouldn’t take lightly to you having been caught trying to escape. What if you couldn’t go back now? There would definitely be some repercussions, and now you know that Ukyo obviously caught you in the act. He’d most likely go tell Tsukasa.
So, you took one last glance back at the forest you knew, and then turned and continued on into the forest you had yet to meet. This was yet another beginning for you.

Fuzzy sickness
Word Count: 771
Pairing: Chrome x Reader
Warnings: None, Senku cockblocking
Summary: You have the fuzzy sickness and get glasses, but you´re afraid that you´re gonna lose something important
Tumblr media
You had the fuzzy sickness ever since you could remember. It was hard living like that, you couldn´t do anything for the village if you didn´t see anything. Even if you squeezed your eyes real tight, you could barely see.
Luckily you had great friends who didn´t leave you behind because of that.
The whole village was really nice to you, considerate of your sickness, this kindness was more than you could have ever asked for, more than you deserved.
Everyone contributed to preserving the village and you couldn´t do anything, you hated it.
You too wanted to go hunting, to guard the village, to go fishing, to make clothes, to help anywhere you could. But you couldn´t.
But more than anything you wanted to go exploring with Chrome, he always told you such great stories of his adventures. And about all the nice things he found.
Some shined, some sparkled and some were really colorful.
You wanted to see them too, you wanted to see him clearly.
Chrome was always so excited, it made you happy, and he was funny too. You could listen to him all day.
You always wondered why he even bothered to stick around with you, it must be a hindrance to him.
One day a stranger came to the village and changed everything.
Chrome told you all about Senku and their amazing projects, you wanted to help too, you wanted to be part of this, but you knew you couldn´t.
You couldn´t blame them, after all you couldn´t even take a step without stumbling, you always needed to rely on someone. Nobody needed to rely on you, you weren´t needed.
“(Y/N)! Senku can fix your fuzzy sickness!” Chrome exclaimed, grabbing you by the shoulders excited.
“What? Really?” you couldn´t believe it, was it really possible?
“Yes, it worked with Suika too! Soon you won´t need me anymore, isn´t that great?” you could hear the grin on his face.
It hurt hearing him say those words, it must be great for him finally not having to look after you all the time. But then again, he never had to do so in the first place, he just did and you never understood why.
Thinking about a life without Chrome in it made you feel incredibly lonely, you didn´t want that. You didn´t want to live a life without him.
“No, it´s not” you husked, frowning at the ache in your heart.
“But why? I mean this is what you always wanted… you´re gonna see the world clearly now, you´re gonna be able to walk without tripping and you can help us. You can do all of those things on your own, you don´t need me anymore” he explained, but still the result was the same.
You sighed and glared at him, well you thought the big blurry figure was him.
“I´m always gonna need you, Chrome. But I get it that you can´t wait to finally get rid of me, I´m sorry for being a burden” your lips started quivering, you felt like shit and started crying.
“What? No….that´s not what I meant” he started to panic and hugged you suddenly in lack of better judgment.
“Please don´t cry, (Y/N). I´m sorry….I really didn´t mean it like that” he tried to soothe you as you cried harder, clutching onto him.
“You´re not a burden to me, you never were and I´m not gonna leave you just like that. You´re never gonna get rid off me, I have to show you all kinds of cool things I´ve collected and where to find them after all.” he smiled at you and you finally stopped crying, sniffing into his shoulders.
“Here, try them on, you should be able to see with them” Senku interrupted your moment and held up the glasses.
Chrome took them and gently put them on your face.
Suddenly you could see everything clearly for the first time.
You could see Chrome smile at you brightly and in that moment you knew that that was the only thing you ever wanted to see, you never wanted to see him frown.
“They look so cute on you, (Y/N)!” Chrome scratched his head awkwardly, blushing slightly.
Your mouth was agape, still trying to process the man in front of you.
“(Y/N)? Are you alright? You can see, right?” he asked worriedly after you didn´t say anything.
“Huh? Yeah, I´m sorry, I was just distracted… you´re very handsome, Chrome” you looked down in shame, blushing hard.
Chrome blinked a few times in confusion, did you really just call him handsome? He must be dreaming…
“That´s debatable” Senku chimed in.

Hi☺️ Can I request a fluffy romantic scenario with Senku and his S/O? Senku acts strange after he heard about the 100 stories and visited Byakuya's grave, S/O notices it and wants to comfort him. ❤️ THANK YOU 🤗
Character: Ishigami Senku
Summary: S/O comforting Senku.
💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
• It's been 2 days since Senku visited Byakuya's and he's been acting weird. You thought maybe he needed sometime to alone but he seems to be getting worse.
• So you decided to talk with him.
• After a long day, late at night you decided to talk to him.
• "Senku?" "Yeah? Oh no- did something happen? Are you okay?" He asked worriedly, but you can sure figure out that he was exhausted, from inside. "I'm okay but I want you to come with me for while? No. Just come with me." You command and drag him out to a plain land, before he could protest.
• "Y/n, we have to work for whole day tomorrow, so we should get enough sl-" before he could say anything you cut him off with a soft kiss and make him sit down with you, forcefully.
• You cupped his cheeks "Senku, my baby, I love you so much and I dont want to see you suffer like this. Please talk about what's hurting you Senku, I dont want to see you suffer alone. Please let me carry your sadness, your negative emotions with you. Please let me help you" you whisper-talked affectionately before pulling him into a hug.
• Senku sighed as he let himself give in your touch before wrapping his hands losely around your waist and resting his head on your shoulder.
• "It's just that.. I dont really know how to put it in words but my h-heart stings. I just..." he pauses as his emotions take over him "..I just miss my old man, I guess." He sobs quietly clutching onto your clothes, while you gently pat his head.
• You decide to keep quite and allow him let his feelings out.
• After you realise he has calmed down and stopped crying you decide to speak. "Senku, honestly, your old man has never left you alone nor he ever will. I'm sure he is out there somewhere. Also, maybe you might meet him again, when we get too old and kick the bucket, hehe mayhaps. I sure would more than just love to believe that. Till that day let's always work hard and TOGETHER. Let's always share our worries and our problems too. Okay? Oh-" you break the hug but keep him close and cup his cheeks "people here seem so similar to him, like a lot of people, if you get what I mean haha, so well in a weird wild way he or HiS gEnEs are with you sooooo you see yeeaahh" you whisper awkwardly.
• Luckily it makes him laugh "kukuku, y/n I think I definitely needed that" he rests his forehead against you "thank you so much for this, it definitely would've been hard if you wouldn't have been there"
• "Well that'll never happen because I'll always stick to you like glue, I'm 10 billion percent sure about it because I love you" You wink as you cling onto him, surprising him with your sudden confession.
• It was the first time you told him that you LOVE him. It made him happy, more than he could even imagine. You truly were able to take all of his sadness away.
• "And I'm 10 billion percent sure I wouldn't mind it because I love you even more." He reciprocated the feelings before pulling you into a kiss.
"Is it just me or does y/n and Senku both seem much happier and closer?" Gen questioned.
"No. They literally are sticking to each other like glue." Kohaku replied.
"I think that's for the best they seem so happy and in love!!" Ruri said as the whole village agreed with her.
