Thinking about the evolution of these gazes from the "damn I love listening to you talk" category
And how with each one Penelope shows more of her hand. And how, in turn, Colin gets to see more and more of who she truly is, and is more and more captivated by it each time.
Penelope is always the first one to look away whenever they have a *moment*, like she's afraid he's really going to see the whole of her this time. And while we haven't seen this entire scene yet, she's not looking away here, and I think that's significant.

Thinking about Tharion and Sathia being ushered into a room with one bed and him offering her the bed while he sleeps on the floor but now they’re laying there hyper aware of each other the whole night but not addressing it because they’re essentially strangers and we have no idea what they discussed afterwards and if they said anything and I —

I like to imagine that after Rain called Payu "Daddy" for the first time, he would just periodically call Payu that anytime Payu got particularly dominant, especially if it's related to school stuff. Like anytime Payu tells him to focus on his homework, a tiny "Yes, daddy," will escape him. It's always unintentional in those moments, but occasionally he'll call Payu "daddy" seductively, and it always works. Then one time, when Payu is spanking him(and Payu only spanks Rain for doing something that will endanger himself physically or his future), Rain whimpers "I'm sorry, Daddy." This gives Payu pause, but only for a second, and he continues to spank Rain, a little bit harder, tightening his grip, spurred on by the responsibility that that honorific gives him. Rain doesn't like the pain, but the feeling of Payu holding him close, knowing that Payu is doing this because he knows it's necessary. Because Payu loves Rain, and wants the best for him. And Rain knows he needs this, knows he needs this firm hand, and wants it with all his heart. He wants Payu to hurt him, to control him. It makes him feel safe. It makes him feel loved.

ada used to think she wasn't meant to be good with kids. so, when claire and chris tell her to take care sherry, ada immediately feels uncomfortable. sherry is a quiet kid who doesn't even play, ada immediately recognized that sherry looked like her mother. "how are you?" ada asked the young girl. sherry tried to hid herself with her hair, ada pretended that she didn't ask the girl anything. "sorry that my mom shot you." sherry whispered.
ada shrugged, "i have been shot many times. it's fine." ada tapped her fingers on her knee. little by little, ada is adopting sherry as her child. claire is happy that her girlfriend is lowering her guard. sherry is carried by ada, ada just does it to show off how strong she is with her girlfriend. ada uses sherry to make claire blush- look at how good a person i am. ada looks smug when claire smiles. when sherry grows up, sherry matches ada's short hair.

I know Spirit of Justice is guilty of having retconned Apollo's backstory once more and having used his father as more of a plot device that an actual character, but I'd lie if I said it didn't make his mysterious story and dynamic with Thalassa so damn fascinating.
