Louis was the first one down the row for their group. If he hadn’t been they would have never met.

He was turned around, walking backwards and saying to Liam, “No, I’ll get you to a real footie match next,” when he bumped into someone.

“Oops,” Louis laughed, tripping over his own feet. A hand curled around his upper arm as he nearly fell over the seat in front of him. “Sorry about that, mate.”

He turned around, still teetering in his vans, to apologize again, but the words dried in his throat. Another hand gripped his other elbow, steadying him, but all Louis could see were green eyes and dimples.

“Hi,” the man laughed, a bright, bubbling sound. “Are you okay?”

Or Louis is in his first year of law school, Harry is a junior on the swim team dreaming of the Olympics, and they both agree that they don't have time for anything more than friends with benefits... right?

1. Captain Jack (jaerie) - Louis has been searching for something and Harry is there to give it to him. Drugs, sex, disappointment, and the tangled web they’ve woven that keeps them trapped in the same cycle.

New Reads:

1. Do Not Disturb (Kiss Me Beneath the Milky Twilight) (sada veniren) - Harry doesn’t want to become a boring old married couple a year into their relationship and tries to spice up their sex life.

2. Another Day Gettin’ into Trouble (whoknows) - Harry’s drunk when the idea occurs to him. He’s also a pop star, so sometimes his drunk ideas turn into actual things instead of just ideas. The clone-a-willy kit is one of them.

3. Hit It Hit It Twist It Twist It (floweredhalo) - “Do I smell like weed?” Harry blurts, almost too loud considering how close they’re sitting. Harry watches as the guy’s mouth drops open in a small o and the way he laughs startles them both. “Oh, my god, no, you’re good, man,” he says and laughs again, before shaking his head and tapping his papers on the desk.

4. To Change how You See and What You Believe (jaerie) - Harry and Louis are best friends who just happen to fall into bed with each other sometimes, it’s not a big deal. “I’m gonna…” he mumbles, moving away to look Harry in the eye. The green-eyed man’s mouth is half open, his pupils are blown and his cheeks are furiously red. The light shining on his face leaves Louis out of breath at the way he looks. “Beautiful.”

Harry smiles contentedly, leaning down to press his forehead against Louis’ “May l—?” He tries to ask, but Louis interrupts him with a gasp, his head moving up and down in affirmation.

He wants it, God, he wants it so much that his fingers ache from how long it took him to get it. Harry giggles, beginning to press kisses along Louis’ jaw, pressing his open mouth on his skin, so slow that Louis just wants to turn around and get it on his own; his lips against Harry’s.

“Just… please,” Louis begs, bouncing on his tiptoes, his voice dying at the end of the sentence. He swallows when Harry’s tongue licks the corner of his mouth and the next second, their lips collide. Louis’ eyes closed and his hand tightens on Harry’s neck, an appreciative hum coming out from his throat.

@styleandsin @anklou and I were sitting in the queue and these girls in front of us were like obviously het and they kept saying really cringe things the whole day like “idk harry’s girlfriends are just so ugly like he could do better” and “if I was the other boys i’d feel bad about myself because harry is just so much more successful” so like,,, obviously we were irritated. BUT then we started to talk fic like amongst ourselves and the one girl turns and looks at us and she goes “you know Townes? The girl Harry wrote Carolina about?” and we were like oh boy here we go, so i said “uh yeah.” and she says “I know her like we went to school together. She lives in LA now and her sister’s an actress, and is really good friends with Harry. Harry looks sickly when Louis turns around, pale and exhausted and watching him unflinchingly. Louis swallows hard and crawls over to him, pressing close to his side. Harry breathes in slowly and then shudders out a sob, and Louis scrambles to wrap him up in his arms. Harry clings to him and cries into his neck for what feels like hours, like a lifetime, and Louis wishes there was anything he could do to make it stop. Instead he just holds him, lays them down on the thin, terrible mattress and lets Lavender curl up between them, in whatever tiny space she can find to tuck herself into. She knows Harry is sad, Louis can tell, because she looks distressed, staring up at Louis like there’s anything he can do to fix it.
