Sonic has the exact same way of describing his Adventures like Kirby and his Friends. however they say it nonchalantly because it’s been like that since the 3rd game. Sonic says it like that cause that’s how his brain works. For a while only Mario and his team knew the full context Via the Olympics.

then sonic said something along the lines of “Damn reminds me of when Eggman Split the earth up and I fought the earths guardian” during the aftermath of the Tabuu incident.

This was also requested for more context (although a bit before Ultimate)  and was also met with horrified reactions to Dark Gaia the Time Stones incident and most recently the Starfall Islands. A pact was made to get Sonic and Kirby and Kirby’s Friends into Therapy between Luigi, Ness, and oddly enough Bayonetta for some reason.

Im a tad bit curious about this, but mind telling me about Dexter and Tabuu’s mentor/student relationship was like back in HS?

It was one of those things where something just felt… off. Some of the things he was being told were obviously lies, because the mere existence of Sinister proved them wrong, but… other than that, he seemed pretty trustworthy at first. Everyone else loved and respected him.

But that feeling of wrongness just wouldn’t go away. He spoke more and more on the conquest duties of their kind, and Dexter finally realized: he had to get out of here.

Fandom Doodle Dump

And now, time for the "bad sketches" portion of the upload night.

1-5) Zam Doodles. Some other sketches I did to celebrate Zam winning the poll. The first couple were done before I realized that the poll ended on Valentine's Day, so the last few are more themed for it. I really like the idea of the last one, Zam helping the others make sweets for the day, but it was just too much for me to do last minute.

6) Vs. Anne Glerr. A sketch for the Vs. SAYU redux album cover. I haven't changed it too much from the original upload, it's mostly just the intro made to follow the song's beats a little better.

7) Saychu. Was originally gonna be a part of a collage of Sayu imitating various Miku memes. Since she's NSR's equivalent of Miku, I figured it was fitting.

8) Human!Primid, Poppant, and Mite. I still haven't quite found the fine line of both making them look like direct humanizations of the original enemy and like they're derivative of my human!Mr. Game & Watch. The biggest factor is really the nose since GW's is very prominent, but the original enemies have none. I thought shrinking it might help, but I dunno. It just doesn't feel right.

9-10) Human?Master Hand/Crazy Hand. I dunno, these might be some that I have to start from scratch from, because I'm too used to hanging onto to the gimmick that they're supposed to slightly resemble Sakurai since they're the "gods" of this world, and he's the creator of the series, but it makes them look a little too friendly. I'll think on it a bit. I feel like they could definitely use more "hand" imagery in their designs.

11) Human?Tabuu redesign. I'm also redoing him. I'm basically redoing everybody. This is only 1 of a handful of other sketches I did, but this is the only one I feel is worth posting.

I've been trying to come at him from a few different angles. For starters, the long hair has to stay: it's supposed to represent how he's been trapped in Subspace for so long that his hair's been growing out of control (and then it gets cut once he escapes Subspace). I've considered having his hair cover his eyes in this form to represent how his original form doesn't have eyes, but I'm not totally sold on it.

The other thing I've been trying is different outfit inspirations. His old design was supposed to be a combination of a genie-esque look crossed with loungewear, since I characterize him partially as a hikikomori. It was supposed to be easy to move in, but still a little form-fitting since his original form is naked.

For this one, I went for a kind of "jester + fae king" approach. It's supposed to mirror G&W's clown motifs, and it works with his puppet master schtick too. I added the primid's collar + cuffs to also add some slight prisoner imagery since he's also trapped in Subspace (presumably against his will), but I'm not totally sold on it.

Dharkon: *slams door open, looking unusually upset* That’s IT! Galeem: What—

Dharkon: I’m NEVER talking to those negative JERKS ever again! *storms over to Galeem and plunks down into a chair across from him, folding his tentacles* Meanies... Galeem: ...you’re in a positive mood, aren’t you. Dharkon: I was! I asked the Smashers if they wanted to throw snow on the roof and go sledding— Galeem: Last time you did that, it took five hours to put out the fires. Dharkon: —and they said no! Galeem: *flatly* What a travesty. Dharkon: No, it’s— they’ve been like this for days! They don’t do anything fun anymore, they just sit around and complain about stuff! Galeem: The Smashers? Sit around and complain? ...well, it’s more peaceful this way.

Dharkon: No, no—they don’t even fight anymore. A fighting tournament and they don’t even fight! Why are they being such negative downer jerks?

Galeem pauses, teacup halfway to his core.

Galeem: ...not...even fighting?

Dharkon: Yeah. *poutily* If I knew this was just gonna turn into the Grumpy Olympics, I would’ve just—

Galeem: No. No. This is not mere grumpiness. This is not them deciding to be peaceful. This is so out-of-character I find myself genuinely baffled by it. What the hell has gotten into them? If what you’re saying is true, they’ve basically turned into different people.

Dharkon: ... *eye widens* O-omigosh. That’s it. That’s it!

Galeem: Wha—

Dharkon: They were KIDNAPPED! Some evil schemer must’ve kidnapped them for an evil scheme and replaced them with clones who hate everything!

Galeem: ...what?

Dharkon: We need to do something! Go out and find them and—

Galeem: Stop. Stop. For one, I don’t give a damn what happens to the Smashers, and for two...what sort of moron would make an evil scheme of kidnapping the Smashers, replacing them with clones, and then not doing anything with either of them for several days?

MEANWHILE...

Tabuu: Ha ha! My plans are progressing PERFECTLY! How does it feel to be replaced, Smashers?

The Smashers, bound and gagged in the corner: *mmph mm mmph mm*

Tabuu: What? Of COURSE I have a plan! It’s just too complicated for your feeble minds to process!

If Tabuu had an (English) voice, I feel like it would be fitting if he was voiced by Keith Silverstein (He’s the voice actor of Hawk Moth from Miraculous Ladybug, Chairman Rose in Pokemon Twilight Wings animations, and Shido from Persona 5. Like that specific ‘villain’ voice he does for those characters.)

…And I’m looking at his imdb right now and apparently already voices Simon in Smash…
