Teleportation and Aging in the Scp Foundation plus Gustave's betrayal.
Sorry for the Tales of the Foundation spoilers but it's getting to be like what 3 years now?
Okay. So how many of you studied any teleportation theories? Well the most common one I've read about in both fiction and nonfiction books on speculating on teleportation are interesting and kinda horrifying. The deconstruction of the body and later reconstruction of the body at another location while the mind is preserved during the supposed transport. This is the most popular method of transport for teleportation.
Which is why I suspect one of the potential benefits, most likely accidental is de-aging. Now how would a teleporter turn the metaphorical clock? My best guess is the original dna taken at first time of employment being used for a body reconstruction in the potential future. Potential downsides would include lack of proper muscle memory, bodily confusion depending on alterations prior to transport, and most likely any tattoos or piercings would be removed. So have fun getting those redone.
Now before I get carried away, what are some proofs that this particular form of teleportation happened? Why wouldn't it be a magical trail people can follow? Without losing the original body? Agent Lawrence's youthful recovery is what makes me consider their bodies got this method. His fight with Scp 106 really was rough on him physically. Having a pre-scp version of yourself to fall back on wasn't just something Lawrence probably benefited from. Even if none of the Tales of the Foundation characters will get a chance at the foundation of youth like an 05 member, teleportation can extend the life expectancies of all individuals involved. We probably would have seen it on Director Zolgamax if he hadn't died too.
So this leads me to realize age isn't something you can easily figure out with any foundation members. Especially since mass teleportation at the same time is possible in the scp universe. Scp-999 being able to teleport does leave me with the question of either how many of him there are or is he the only one in that universe. In a lot of Scp lore, Scp-999 is one of the results of Procedure 110-Montauk aka Scp 231. Which leads me to suspect the Gustave used work with Scp-231 and retained his memory. This could be why Gustave wanted revenge and has prior knowledge of scp 999. As for how he avoided amnestic treatment, I don't know. Which leads me to wondering if part of the Chaos Insurgency used teleportation as well. It was part of the scp foundation originally. If Gustave had missions before his infiltration of the foundation that required teleportation that is similar to scp technology his age would be harder to decipher even more so and way easier to hide if he pretended to be just some random civilian that the foundation "caught".

Second redesign! This time it's Dr Collingwood
Canon!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My version!
Tumblr media
I think she should dress up more like a Kindergarten Teacher especially given her position as Head Researcher for SCP 999? Like that thing is a developing child so like. Colourful stuff for child development.
Anyways her clothing is vibrant, lifely and colourful but in a soothing way. She also embroidered her mom jeans. Sneakers to move around easily as well.
Also this entire redesign thing is just an excuse to draw 999 in a see-through pet carrier bag hehe.

Do you ever get obsessed over a youtube series?
Even though the series hasn't updated in a while. I'm still speculating on the series. Hoping I can get better at humans so maybe I'll make fan art someday.
I'm making headcannons and attempting to learn human art after watching Tales of the Foundation a lot more than reasonably healthy XD
I really like Dr Buck and Dr Collingwood a lot.
Because of the Dracula Factory episode I have a lot of guessing of what Dr Buck used to do. Seeing her handle the specimen in that episode made me wonder if she was a veterinarian at some point. Perhaps even a marine biologist because of her IDing of the lamprey makes me wonder if she has a background studying deep sea stuff? Could you imagine being a marine biologist and learning some organization wants you to identify an actual land lamprey species that hunt humans? (Look I know in the actual scp file for the scp 2191 the Dracula Factory creatures are considered related to humans but the idea of a land lamprey species is terrifying and fascinating).
I like to think Dr Collingwood has a background in psychology because of all the way she questions people. She is very calm usually in the earlier episodes. There doesn't seem to be much about her beyond her assignments. Though maybe I overlooked something?
Agent Lawrence is kinda neat too when you learn he used to be an electrician. Wonder if he saw something while repairing a customer's electronics? Or did the Scp Foundation just like hired the guy and later learned he was a good fighter or something? That would be shocking. One moment you're repairing a blown circuit at your new job, next moment a big monster or some other supernatural entity is breathing down the back of your neck. Like that would be scary but kinda funny in a way. That's like one way to get promoted.
I dont really know much about Carson though. I think he keeps his face covered after enough things attacked his face and head area. So I don't think he's the type to show off much.

How Various Members of Site Command React to Sudden Hugs
Okay, this is by no means at complete list of who's huggable on site and who isn't, and HR would have maid-waifuless kittens if they found out I even made this list. That being said... it's a lot safer to hug some staffers than others.
First, no one on record has tried hugging Dr. Gears. But, should someone be brave or crazy enough to try it... he might get to tolerate it with repeated attempts.
Second, hugging Dr. Bright is just encouraging him to be a perv. Stick to pats on the head. On second though... just don't touch Dr. Bright.
Third, Dr. Glass gives the warmest hugs, next to Cain, 999, and 343 themselves. 10/10, highly recommend hugging him if you had a bad day.
Fourth, Dr. Iceberg. Yeah... Sadly, I think only his partner Quinn can get away with that one. Anyone else would wind up with at least a literal cold shoulder.
Clef is most likely to just ninja hug the crap out of you in retaliation if you do this to him first. My ribs still hurt from this morning's clingy ambush. More likely to happen if he's hungover.
Dr. Rights is a hugger. Do not hug unless you're free for ten minutes at least.
Do not ninja hug Dr. Gerald. He likes hugs, but... exaggerated startle responses are not fun. Approach slowly from the front once consent is given, do not squeeze.
Cain will turn terracotta red if hugged off guard. Agent Nordstrom thinks it's adorable.
It is nearly impossible to ninja hug 343. He still loves hugs, so feel free to try. Just... not with whiskey in hand. It's a sin to waste good alcohol.
Dr. Light is fond of hugs. For the record, if she really likes you, she squeezes.
Ninja hugging 999 means you sink into him a tiny bit, like jumping onto a huge Jello lump. Just don't build up too much speed. I recommend this on those really crap days.
Assuming you locate him, hugging Dr. Kondraki will have one of two results: him either shouting at you or dragging you down to the local karaoke bar to get smashed and sing 90's heavy metal off key with him. If he's already half pickled with booze first, it's the latter. There is no in between.
Dr. Shaw will also blush if hugged. It's sweet. Also gives very gentle hugs.
Dr. Myriad, however... be prepared for a rib-bruising hug in return.
Iris is not a hugger. Only family and Agent Markovich can hug her and live.
Do not attempt to hug Dr. Mann. He's not a touchy feely guy, you will be shot at.
Agent Strelnikof likes hugs, believe it or not. Bonus if the hugger is a pretty woman.
Do not hug Agent Dimitriov around 076-2, unless Abel agrees. Agent Okame was just trying to help, you didn't need to kill her, Big Brother! No GTA5 for three weeks.
There was one intern who actually hugged 294 after it produced "a perfect duplicate of my nan's hot chocolate, right down to the correct color of marshmallow Peep". The machine did seem to perform better for the rest of the day, but the test was never duplicated.
Dr. Kain Pathos-Crow is hit and miss on hugging. But... he loves a good ear scratch, like most canine lifeforms.
Dr. Cimmerian gives great hugs, at a dollar a piece. If you're good at something, never do it for free.
Hugging Agent Lombardi will get you punched. Don't.
No hugging Lieutenant Tori. She will shoot you. In the knee. With buckshot. Twice for repeat offenders.
No surprise hugs with Dr. Sherman, lest you get a lecture on consent. Best to just bring him a coffee. He's nice, just a stickler for decorum on site.
I myself welcome hugs from almost anyone except Agent O'Hare for obvious reasons, and Dr. Bright, again for obvious reasons. Just mind my teacup, please.

Introducing anybody to any SCP in general is probably one of the hardest things in the world for any fan of the wiki. Autism from my part aside, It can be compared to the same experience that is explaining the Silmarillion to a complete stranger who has absolutely no knowledge about TLOTR's universe.
Your listener having an open mind or a passion for the unexplainable helps little when almost all of them make absolutely no sense without any in-universe explanation: from class to Special Containment Procedures to Amnestetics... and don't even bother with hubs, sister sites and of course tales...
Whenever I try to explain some of the more complicated ones to my brother who at least is more knowledgeable about them than most people (totally not me talking about the coolest ones to him all the time) he just looks at me like I'm insane, wich is understandable since I'm perfectly aware that I SOUND INSANE TOO.

The horror of iceberg's situation should be explored more. To work at a dead end job where you have no support system, but being unable to leave. Gears and Iceberg's story is sweet and tragic, but also has great potential for corporate horror.
