Hcs on the most underrated duo
-When Tara and Sam get into a fight, Tara goes to Kirby's place and complains until Kirby has to take her back to their apartment and force sam and tara to talk like the two adults they are.
-Kirby made Tara promise to send her location whenever she goes somewhere without sam (or without sam knowing.)
-and Tara, on the other hand, made Kirby promise not to tell Sam where she is.
-Kirby and Tara often go shopping together, and whenever they go, they buy Sam a gift.
-Kirby, as the older sister she is, is very protective of Tara
-but what Kirby and Tara have in common is that they both are incredibly protective of Sam. They interrogate Danny every time he takes her on a date.
-They once had a horror movie night and they ended up fighting the all time because Kirby's taste in movies is way more like Mindy's taste than Tara's taste.
-indeed, Kirby calls tara "movie snob" and Tara goes on a rant about how liking elevated horror movies DOES NOT make you a movie snob but it only proves that she has a better taste than Kirby.
-Tara started spending so much time with Kirby that, at one point, Kirby had to force her to go out with people her age instead of hanging with a 30 years old FBI agent
-Tara and Kirby are able to talk about Jill and Amber only with each other

"You can't leave me! I won't let you!"
"Christina, lo juro por Dios [I swear to God], get the fuck out of my way or -"
"Or what? You'll hit me? Hit me then! Give me a reason to call the cops!"
"Mamá?!"
"You're fucking crazy! Just like that bastard's father!"
"Don't talk about him like that!"
Tara curled up under the kitchen table, one of her favorite hide-and-seek spots because of the table cloth. She couldn't understand what her parents were screaming about, Sammy piping in every once in a while, but she knew she didn't like it.
It sounded scary.
With caution, Tara lifted the cream table cloth and peaked up.
Mamá was beating her fists against Papi's chest, face creased in rage. Sammy was fighting to place herself between the two, but neither of the two noticed.
Tara flinched when Sammy was shoved out of the way by their papá. She scrambled out from beneath the table and stood, unsure, behind her mamá.
"¿Mamá? ¿Papá?" Tara uttered. Both of her padres² stopped arguing and turned to her, and she shifted awkwardly. "¿Esta todo bien?" [Mom? Dad? Is everything ok?]
Papi's eyes softened while his shoulders sagged. "Sí, no te preocupes. Me quedaré con mis padres por el momento si quieres venir conmigo." [Yes, don't worry. I'm going to stay with my parents for the time being if you want to come with me.]
Tara blinked in confusion. Why was her papi leaving? Why did it sound like he didn't want to take Mamá or Sammy with them?
Before Tara could ask, Mamá was screaming again. She slammed her palms over her ears with a whimper. She never did like whenever they fought.
"Stop fighting!" Sammy cried out. "Can't you see that Tara's scared?!"
Papi narrowed his eyes. "Shut your bastard mouth!"
Sammy took a wounded step backwards.
Papi's eyes then went wide. He looked between Mamá and Sammy, then he turned his eyes to Tara.
"Is she even mine?"
"Listen -"
"Tell me the fucking truth for once in your miserable fucking life, ¡puta!" Papi roared out, and it shook the house into silence.
Mamá looked away. "Of course she is."
"... I don't believe you."
Tara stumbled out of the way when Papi shoved her out of the way. She followed behind the small group and gasped when she saw Papi's business suitcase full of clothes sitting on his leather recliner.
"¡Papi!" Tara began to cry, finally realizing what was happening. "¡Por favor no te vayas!" [Please don't go!]
Papi continued to pack up despite Mamás furious threats of calling the police, Sam's panic at the escalating situation, and Tara's full-blown meltdown.
Tara was close to hyperventilating as she threw her body at her papá and clung to his leg. He tried to shake her off, but she held tightly to his gray slacks.
She was the last person he was with when they both heard yelling coming from the master bedroom. Papi had begged her to clean her room and get ready for bed, going as far as to bribe her with a homemade caramel flan. But then he abruptly left.
The yelling only increased in volume, and, after an hour, Tara crept downstairs to hide out.
Was this her fault somehow?
"P-Papi, por favor -" she wheezed, chest constricting. She could barely breathe, let alone get her words out properly.
Hands roughly shoved her away, and Tara stared up at her Papi in horror. He stared back with an equally distraught expression.
"Tara," he gasped. "Lo lamento -" [I'm sorry -]
Mamá burst into a fit of rage.
Tara sat on the floor for the rest of the night. She blocked out the rest of her parents' argument and sat there. She sat there while her Papi left them.
He slammed the door. He never slammed the door.
Sammy tried to help her. Tara took the inhaler but remained on the floor by the stairs, watching the door for when Papi would come back.
He never did.

Scream 7 concept where Sam is a Ghostface and this is revealed to the audience early on in the movie. We spend the whole movie knowing she's been killing people and hiding it from everyone around her.
Another Ghostface pops up, and originally we're left to question whether it is Sam or whether they're working with Sam, and then eventually we learn no, they're not. Sam spends a lot of the movie talking about defending her sister, protecting her, in fact it's a little suspicious because Sam is never around when Ghostface attacks until the last confrontation before they move to the final showdown.
- I think this Ghostface should be someone who's obsessed with Sam and wants them to join her, not actually knowing she's been a Ghostface -
In Act 3, we get a Sam confrontation with this Ghostface - she's not alone in the room, I'll get to that in a minute - where they're going on and on about how much potential she has if she just gives in and all the things they could do together. And Sam laughs, it's a little unhinged. And then she reveals the truth, that she's already been killing, that she's been taking out scum like them for months, and then she straight up obliterates them.
Now, back to who is in the room, Tara and... Danny? One of the twins? Or perhaps someone new introduced in the movie. This person is freaking out, Sam just confessed to being a murderer. It's one thing to act in self-defence, but the things she's talking about... And Tara? She doesn't react at all. She knew all along.
This person starts talking about how it's wrong and Sam needs to turn herself in, and then they cut themselves off because there's a knife pressed against their back. "Tara... what are you doing?"
Sam stands up and watches them, she and Tara share a silent conversation.
"Defending my sister." She pushes the knife forward, but they turn to try and grapple her, the knife slips and slices across their back/side. Sam comes up from behind to pull them off her sister, and the person slips from their grip and runs. The sisters share a quippy little seriously? moment and then chase after him.

Imagine that Tara doesn't cope as well with Sam's departure.
She follows in her footsteps. Lashing out, drinking, skipping school. It leads to bad crowds that leads to bad substances. Violence and fighting and hospital visits and being lectured by Hicks. A slow descent as she tries to forget what it felt like to be loved. Maybe then it wouldn't hurt so much. Her friends try to be there for her, but she pushes them away. Wes doesn't stop trying to be her friend, despite everything, and Amber is the only one who really sticks around. She seems to like mean-Tara, encourages it, sometimes she even supplies the drugs.
Then one day she gets attacked. Tara's been in fights before, but this one is different. Wes has always been a good boy, but this time he knows he has to do something. He goes to the station under the guise of bringing lunch, knowing his mother wasn't there. He accesses her computer, he searches for Sam's last known phone number, and he calls it. He tells her that Tara mentioned a Ghostface mask, but that the police aren't taking it seriously, they just think it's... Sam has to push, they just think it's what? He sighs, they just think it's drug-related... again. Sam is shocked, horrified, demands he explain himself. Wes just tells her that Tara really needs her.
Needless to say, their reunion is explosive.
