Via the book 『天地無用!魎皇鬼解体真書天地無用!101の謎』 (Tenchi Muyō! Ryōōki: Kaitai Shinsho Tenchi Muyō! 101-no-Nazo, AKA "Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki: 101 Secrets"), from the page explaining the symbols on the Guardians Azaka and Kamidake. Beginning readers of Japanese may be easily frustrated by the strange symbols on the wo wood-shelled artificial intelligences that protect Aeka and Sasami, but fear not! They are not actually kanji, but Juraian script, specifically being 'namae-moji', characters signifying names.

The text says that non-royalty have names written with a single moji, while royalty receive two-character names, at least as far as I understand it between the efforts of far more competent translators than I and the brute force of machine translation.

In the excerpted image at top, we see the Juraian namae-moji for (left to right) Aeka, Sasami, Tenchi, and Ryoko. In written representations including production materials from the OVAs, Aeka and Sasami's names are typically written in either ateji (phonetic kanji) or katakana, perhaps to represent that they are foreign (alien) names not originally written in kanji. Mind, for some reason Kajishima-sensei or whomever else was responsible for the image had chosen to write the names in hiragana in this instance instead...making it all the more difficult to read, because his hand-written さlooks like a て.

But in any case, you now have something that I have not been able to locate anywhere else on the internet: how to write the names of four of the main characters in Juraian script!

Aeka is divided into two characters, read "A" and "Eka"; Sasami is likewise divided into "Sasa" and "Mi". Tenchi and Ryoko only have one character in their name each, not being recognized as part of the royal family at that point.

I must especially offer my gratitude to @see-reverse-side for deciphering so much of the handwritten portions! If anyone can make out what the little comment above Tenchi's name says, it would be greatly appreciated.
