I'm so glad I'm not the only one obsessed with the Marcille Laios Falin gang. Like they are a unit.... A team.... Even if the rest of the party fell apart they would stay together.... Idk it's just really fun to see all the different groups everyone falls into across the course of dungeon meshi and I love how you can tell that the three of them are a unit even as they are separated for most of the manga.

YEAH!!!! that day in the laughing wolf when falin first stopped marcille from perma-killing her brother that was fate in motion binding them together for the rest of their lives. (/hj but also i have a vague nebulous idea for a series of drawings of the toudens + marcille thru the years starting w the laughing wolf.) i love how we know that in both laios and marcille's ideal visions for the far future they are together with falin and that by the end they make it happen. i love that they both started off being connected only by the strength of their love for falin but eventually developed their own deep closeness that cemented their trio as a balanced whole.

i don't see laimar romantically the way i do farcille but those two for sure mean as much to each other as falin does to them. i love laios's strongest impression of marcille being the moment she gave it all to bring falin back. i love marcille speaking to laios's corpse with her cheek laid on his cold breastplate. i love laios looking out for marcille's comfort and enjoyment as the baseline for the party because she's the most expressive about her feelings. i love marcille always being the first to notice when laios is being dodgy as all hell and making him spit it out.

however it shakes out those three are family 5ever and we all know the lengths they'd go to if they were ever to be separated <333

Yo i always think it’s unfortunate that atsushi in canon doesn’t have a coat or sweater or anything over his regular clothes when Akutagawa has rashomon because it means the coat lending only goes one way for the most part

however since both of them wear a coat in BEAST it means optimal boyfriend cosplay time (stealing the other’s jacket). I think Beast Akutagawa should get to steal atsushi’s coat more than the other way around. Not cause it fits his personality as much but just. As a treat. To make up for the fact canon aku can’t.

Mmmhhh. I think clothes sharing is a *very* sskk thing. I think it's hard to get anywhere near the level of intimacy and trust that lays in the act of sskk sharing clothes. And that's why I also believe the event isn't limited to Atsushi wearing Akutagawa's coat in fights! There will come a time when Akutagawa will feel like Atsushi's wardrobe is his own, and wear clothes that are too big for his small frame but that wrap him like a warm hug. So yeah canon universe Akutagawa stealing clothes from Atsushi is very real to me, it can't go only one way!!!

About Beast I AGREE I think about it all the time actually, it'd be REVOLUTIONARY to see Akutagawa wear Atsushi's own coat. I have a theory that there's a big emotional component to Akutagawa's ability, and that Rashomon is strongest when Akutagawa is wearing clothes he has a deep emotional connection with / evoke strong emotions in him. And OF COURSE the coat of his enemy / lover would make him so powerful. It's just, it'd be such a cool twist on the event of Atsushi wearing Akutagawa's coat in canon, you know? I know this was more for a domestic scenario but just. Imagine how cool Akutagawa would look in fight. But yeah ultimately I agree he should get to wear it whenever he wants, as a treat

favorite horror movie? (If you like them)

So I love horror movies of all kinds, so a favorite is a tough ask. I'm a massive creature feature lover, and some of my favorites are now listed as horror comedy. Stuff liketremors and critters and gremlins are close to my heart as childhood staples. There's the scfi action horrors that will always be go-to's like the predator and alien series. Then there's the eerie and off putting things like the shining or the village. All of which I love, but thinking of the horror genre it's supposed to be scary in a way and there has only been one movie that ever truly terrified me and it was signs by M Night Shyamalan.

Signs has to be the #1 horror film for me in that I hated it, it scared me to tears back when I first watched it and I still can't watch it now without goosebumps and an overwhelming sense of panic. I was young when I watched it for the first time, and it caused fear in me like no other. It instilled in me a dread at that time that my parents remember very keenly and will gladly talk about if it's brought up. Honestly, even the soundtrack of the movie is enough to get me on edge as a grown man, which should tell you what kind of a grip it had on me as a kid. The music was beyond eerie, and the sound design in it is some of the best I've ever come across. If you've never watched it, I highly recommend it.

Nicolas was one of the characters that I very much latched onto when I very first read the books - in fact, Lestat/Nicki was my first ship before I read QOTD and I always found the lack of utilisation of him in fandom really disheartening. I even got my hopes up when Lestat couldn't find him in Memnoch but so sad that he's one of the only constants to remain dead. I understand that's part of the tragedy of him, but I guess I thought if the others from the era get their shot at a life after, he ought to as well.

Trying to balance Nicki's difficulties - Lestat saying joy was hard for him is such a sucker punch because of how frequently in TVL Lestat draws lines between Nicki running his mouth or making a show compared to genuine feeling and how he can see the difference in his face - while showing that I suspect some of the worst of his early vampire mania came from the absolute trauma conga line that preceeded his being made into one is not the easiest, but I hope I'm managing.

I think once he got past his own sense of betrayal and managed to settle himself with the trauma if not deal with it, it wouldn't be all that different to Armand which makes their interactions fascinating to me. They are both dealing with a percieved sense of betrayal and their world view being thrust upside down at the same time and I think Armand did the best he could given the state he was in, but they deserved a chance to rebuild. Especially given Nicki's known for being acerbic and not holding back when I think Armand needs a sense of harshness because the softness, the pity, the compassion of the others is just not something he can deal with at that point. He's too raw.

I do have parts of the next bit written but I want to get it right because Nicki meeting Louis has been something I've wanted to do a for a long time.

This is also a reminder that I really need to give that AU a name now there's a few things in it.

ah yeah omg 🥲 long story short, when you live on a farm, you are a prime target for people breaking in with stolen vehicles… they’re usually looking for fuel, guns, and other vehicles to steal. anything else they find is just gravy.

we have two huge steel gates (we have two driveways) and they somehow rammed them both open with a stolen truck. i was in bed at the time, but the noise of a truck revving to ram a gate is something i am unfortunately very familiar with. it definitely scared the shit out of me.. by the time i ran to the porch to turn the lights on, they were at the fuel tanks, and someone was right at the door. definitely cussed them out good and definitely shit some bricks over it.

however, i am ok, but still a little shaken over it. i am just very lucky they didn’t use any of the rifles they had.

GOD. yeah. too caught up in their own moment to even think about the world past them. they'd changed the world! they'd killed two terrible arch fey! the court of wonder would never be the same! actually none of the courts would ever be the same! but for that fucking eon they had in each other's arms, how was that even relevant? i doubt they'd even notice it was there til they left the woods, and at that point, binx and andhera would've already gone through the portal. they'd probably Sending one of their friends just like, hey sorry we were um. busy… not important. yes it is, we made out. anyway do you guys have this weird string? and eventually it'd get back to them about binx and andhera, and they'd be like… OH.

honestly i know we're all very attached to everyone joining the court of craft post-canon, and i'll admit i am too (glances at That One Fic where it's brought up in bkg), but there's something sweet too about them being like - nah, we're just gonna be us for a while. no need for courts. maybe neighbors though? and building themselves a little place out on the outskirts of the court of craft grounds, close enough that they can see binx and andhera every day and meet the slowly returning trickle of the Craft family to the grounds, but far enough away that they still feel on their own. still courtless, but not alone in any sense of the word.

initially leaving the woods, i think there's got to be a bit of nerves. even though they're very sure in what they're doing, it's also an incredibly big change. it can't be understated. they're breaking out of the courts entirely, not just transferring, and that's probably as world-shattering as andhera's decision to be involved in two. and there's of course something incredibly exciting, probably as much as it is terrifying, that there's nothing planned out ahead of them. no role to fill, nothing particularly expected of them from anyone around them, specifically BECAUSE they've willingly made themselves into such fucking anomalies.

i'd imagine it would help them greatly to remember that they have not only each other, but also the rest of their pack of friends to depend on. it was a powerfully romantic thing they said to each other, but in reality, they're not really orphaned. they've got family. plenty of extremely eccentric fey family.

i reeeally shouldn't have read the comments on those early eps of vox machina campaign because the amount of people not understanding the fucking reality of stressful situations, piling of factors — such as morals, beliefs, previous experiences that make you either resistant or prone to more explosive reactions, — and actual need of diverse characters and hence, their diverse way of coping with/after traumatizing events... it's astonishing. everyone has their own breaking point, everyone has their own moral line that they would not overstep. and just because one character acts stupid or impulsive or explosive — just fucking irrational, doesn't mean its bad. it means that it's humane because humans tend to act irrational. why? because all of us have their own level of sanity preserved for stressful situations and me and my friends would act in completly different ways pre-during-post emergency happening.

and yes, humans do act fucking cringe. deal with that as you wish but don't be disgusting pile of shit towards a person doing a role playing for a tabletop game.
