How would the boys take care of a reader with chronic migraines? I mean legit migraines: pain that medicine can’t help with, vomiting from said and nausea, lights/sounds only making everything hurt worse, and being dizzy and seeing spots.

He gets migraines himself due to all the heavy beskar he carries. So when he wakes up to the pitch blackness to you trying not to vomit he immediately offers you either a warm or cold compress to help with the pressure. He's gonna stay up and rub your back until you fall asleep.

He's had a migraine like twice in his whole life and he thought he was dying during them so when you reveal you have chronic migraines and get them more often than most he stares at you in awe. Like you just fucking DEAL with that!? on your own half the time!? Uh uh. Nope, not on Javis watch, from now on if he figures out you have a migraine expect him to baby you and keep your whole apartment in complete darkness for you.

Frankie Morales

He's instantly shuffling you to bed. He has black out curtains and he drapes a cool wash cloth over your eyes to really block out any light source for you. He's gonna put some fans on for white noise so its not SO quiet you hear everything.

Ezra(prospect)

Bby Ez is stressed he hates seeing you in any kind of pain and this is an unbelievable amount of pain you have. He's sticking with you the whole time, making sure you eat even if you really really don't want to and even helps you while you puke your guts out. He's seen worse than vomit so it really doesn't affect him.

Max Phillips

Hes fucking annoying at first. He's never delt with migraines so he doesn't really get the level of pain your at....until you throw up on his designer shoes. He's gonna gawk at his shoes finally seeing that yes...this is a legit thing. He's gonna feel pretty guilty right away and lower his voice and guide you to his king bed to try and get you to rest as much as you can.

Pero Tovar

Also one to never experience but he believes you and your pain level right away. He's instantly grouching quietly at you if you try and get up. "You say the pressure and pain is unbearable, Amor. So stay put." He even has a little bucket by the bed for you vom in if you need to. He really doesn't want you worrying about anything besides resting and feeling better.

Marcus Pike

Poor baby gets migraines himself. Just not as often as you so he totally has you stocked up. Need some pain killers? Those dont work??? Okay well what about a little caffeine for the headache? Cold or hot compress? Eventually he's gonna know exactly what you need during these times so there will be no questions just a silent doting Marcus.

Agent Whiskey

He never gets them but is first love use to get them almost as often as you so he knows what you need. And thats for him to shut the fuck up, close all the shades and curtains and let you sleep.

Dave York

He definitely is always ready to help when he wakes up to hear you absolutely dying in the bathroom. He's gonna instantly come in and put a cool hand on your sweaty back as he hands you a headband (only if you need one) to keep your hair from your face as you vomit. He's even gonna turn off the harsh lights of the bathroom and turn on a soft lamp from the bedroom to gently illuminate your bathroom.

Zach Wellison

He really really does not know what to do. He offers to take you to the ER until you grumble out for him to shut the fuck up you have a migraine. Then he will take the que and leave you alone. He will do your household chores quietly for you tho just so you don't have to deal with them when you wake up.

Omar Assarian

He gets migraines himself from boxing so he will immediately get as quiet as possible for you and get you to your bedroom asap. He knows the pain and what causes it so he's ushering you into your home and instantly knocking your hand away from the light switches.

Marcus Moreno

You really think the leader of the heroics don't get migraines? Hah, good one. He knows what to do and he knows that mostly you just need to be left alone. He will come in and rub your temples gently if you ask him tho. But he will also sneak in some forehead kisses, he can't help it, it just hurts him to see his honey bunny in pain.

Practical Tips on getting your fics out there!

I’ve gotten an influx of these types of questions here recently, and the more i thought about what i was gonna add, it became really long :(  

disclaimer: a lot of the things i bring up are just from personal experience as a writer on this site, what my followers have told me they appreciate, and what i tend to look for when im looking for fics to read! If you don’t like these tips then pls move on :) 

although i’ll mention them, i’m also not going to be focusing on cliche tips like “write for yourself” or “grammar issues” cause those are pretty obvious!

1. accessibility of your blog 

when you’re trying to get your name out there, make sure that you’re creating an inviting experience for any potential followers! this includes:

a memorable url! be creative!

have some fun designing your blog’s aesthetic! (i love cute blogs because it reflects a bit of the writer’s personality), and (i prefer blogs with white backgrounds because it’s easier to look through/read, say, in contrast to a pitch black one where the words need to be white!) 

put your masterlist link in your bio (even better if you can link most recent fic! found this most helpful when i revisit authors that i like and can easily see if they’ve updated or not)

an organized and easy-to-navigate masterlist (personally, i prefer masterlists organized by band, instead of types of fics ie. i hate when i have to choose between drabbles, oneshots, and series masterlists; i really prefer to see them altogether!) --> see section 3 

organized tags (if you’re going to be posting a lot of non-fic-related content like pictures or videos, tag them properly so followers can sort through and find your fics easily!), or (if you’re going to be writing in different mediums like drabbles, or answering asks, make sure to use a unified #mine or #writing or #fics to centralize your content) 

2. get your name out there!

write write write! once you have some fics that show your talent, don’t be shy! 

join writing groups: when i first started out, I joined a bunch of groups that would reblog my fics in the midst of the content of much bigger writers; these blogs developed a following, and as a result of my content mixing in with bigger blogs’ content, so did my own tumblr! there’s been a stigma recently with these groups, but im sure you can find one thats supportive and not clique-y! 

send your fics to rec pages: what’s the harm? the only bad thing that can happen is that they ignore you! who cares! get out there! 

if you can do the above, i really encourage you to ask your fave writers for advice/to read your fic: again, the worst that can happen is that they say no or don’t respond or don’t have enough time, but it’ll be a good opportunity to get some feedback! i for one read (or try to read) every single rec that falls into my inbox. if i like it, i’ll #rec it, and if i don’t, unless the writer asks me for feedback, i move on!! 

utilize your tags!!: i’m not entirely sure if this is still the same or not, but from my memory, it’s the first 3-5 tags that matter the most? so utilize them well; push back the tags that aren’t really relevant (ie. #writing, #fics) and push more the main subject line of what you wrote (ie. jungkook fluff, bts smut, namjoon angst). these will populate your fics into the tags better!

headers!: when i’m scrolling through an infinite page of fics, the headers catch my eye the most; try being creative! you can find a lot of info out there on how to make ur headers super aesthetic, but i can share my tips too! --> see section 3

3. your masterlist 

here are some practical tips! 

organize by band, not type of fic/member/centralize your masterlist: i went onto a blog recently and clicked their bio mlist link to find a page full of 20~ish “JUNGKOOK MASTERLIST”/ “JAEHYUN MASTERLIST” and when i clicked on each one, they only had like 2 or 3 fics per member. i think it would’ve been better if she’d centralized all her fics! that keeps whoever is looking interested and more likely to click on another fic while browsing

add info about the fics!: when scrolling through a masterlist, it’s easy to get lost; try to add some snippets of info (ie. a short sentence you liked from the fic, a quick summary, a description of the au/scenario, or even a header!) this all gives some info about the fics you have tagged! 

headers: this isn’t a requirement, but i personally love a good header on fics i read and i love making them myself as i finish up a fic and get ready to upload it; here are free sources: unsplash for HQ stock pics, crop/edit/filter in VSCO, and then add aesthetic script with fontcandy) 

try to fill it up!: after i visit a blog after reading one good fic, i usually browse through their mlist to see if there are any more that i’d be interested in. if there’s a lot to look forward to, i’ll almost always follow; try to write as much as you can in the first few months to try and fill up your mlist and give blog viewers a reason to visit your blog again, follow, or even reblog your content!) 

4. try not to reproduce cliche fics: 

honestly tumblr’s writing community (and armys) has grown insanely these past few years and, unfortunately, even from my perspective, in the past 3-4 years, all the writers have sort of become blended together in my brain. but, i can say that the ones who consistently stand out are the ones who produce consistent content and think outside of the box! 

i tend to gravitate towards fics that have really interesting plotlines (ex. btssavedmylifeblr’s VOID is always a surprise to read because it’s sO unique! i usually don’t read ot7 fics but this one is legit my fave) 

I know it’s tempting to try and just write typical smut fics to try and gain some traction, but tumblr is already too overloaded by that kind of content; try to write something that’s special and unique! this will set u apart from the thousands of other writers here --> see next section

5. create unique fics: 

this is also personal to my writing style, but i get so bored writing just casual fics about the members, and it affects the fics i choose to read too; i prefer unique fics which you can achieve through: 

circumstance/au: create a fun au!; don’t just create an arranged marriage, create an arranged marriage in joseon dynasty, or between a werewolf and a hunter! (shameless self plug); don’t just give me friends to lovers, but give me spiderman!jungkook friends to lovers! (ie. cupofteaguk’s exchanges)

jobs: give them out-of-the-ordinary jobs; don’t just give me enemies to lovers, but give me rival!anchors who end up loving eachother! (ie. jimlingss The Newscasters)

fun dialogue: create good back-and-forth, (something i’m still working on!)! this will help your characters develop personality, and that way, readers will start to develop that themselves as well (ie. dad!yoongi from insemination wars by prolixitae is such a specific character that i love so much!, or obiwrites’ garden characters were so memorable!)

create memorable personalities: don’t give me a flat character, try to develop 4d personalities in all of your characters! (im still working on this too!) this way you can really make an impression on your followers! a great way to practice/recognize this is: “Ask my Character.” Can your followers ask a specific character a specific question, and would you be able to deliver an answer that is very specific to that character’s tone/voice/personality? If yes, then ur doing well! If not, try to think of ways that you can make tht specific character from a specific story, really unique and separate from your other characters.

6. some practical writing tips

be yourself, write for your own pleasure, blah blah blah; yeah you know already haha but here are a few more practical tips! 

grammar check: if you can, try and hone your grammar! makes for an easier read 

write like you: i personally LOVE this by obiwrites, but even the way she writes exudes her personality and is so specific; try not to be caught up in adding hundreds of synonyms and exquisite language; in fact, simpling it down and being more concise and honest with your writing is better than a superfluous sentence; this will also give ur characters so much more dimension and funk

use those commas/sentence variation: try to use more commas; this will feel like you’re the narrator to your own story; it also makes it more fluid to read in my opinion, over those short. clipped. sentences. (ie. “he came over, sitting down on the corner of your bed with an expression you’d never seen before” over “he walked over. he sat down, looking sad.”) 

half-half dialogue/narration: a fic with too much dialogue can get confusing, and a fic with too much narration can get dry; try to balance them out, and weave in and out of each! 

quality over quantity: don’t feel burdened to write a 30k word fic. in fact, i think some of the shorter fics (ie. any of versigny’s stuff) made a bigger impression on me over the longer fics because they were short, left me wanting more, and were just so high-quality in such small quantities. try out your hand at drabbles and one-shots, and don’t feel too burdened to try and develop a series right off the bat! 

abandon pigeon-holes: i’m guilty of this; i start series and then end up with no vision for the stories and they end up giving me writers block. its okay. just stop or discontinue them or leave them on a hiatus; it’s okay. your priority is yourself, and if abandoning certain works are part of that, then go ahead. it’ll help you progress more.

look maxwell may have been a bit of a prick who kept antagonizing crown even after we asked him to stop but he was still one of us and he shouldn't be working with crown. the last thing maxwell would want is to give the "pissbaby" (his words not mine) more power"

jaynoblade: “not sure about the other court members, but.... they've been there for much longer, and we haven't had as long with them”

fetch: “there might be time to save the other court members too. even prince. baron seems the least of concern for now since he's went to crown and actually confronted him multiple times now with seemingly no consequence.

and when I say confront I really mean its like 2 or 3 times not he's said that he was gonna ask crown something”

jaynoblade: “yeah definitely

but then again.... crown’s had him even longer than prince”

fetch: “despite that he seems pretty low on the food chain...”

jaynoblade: “he really does, and there’s probably a reason for that

maybe he’s overall harder to control or something like that”

fetch: “probably

maybe he's the "you're not my real dad you can't tell me what to do" type”

fetch: “or maybe. hm.

maybe he's leaving baron alone to make prince happy

they are best friends after all”

jaynoblade: “....that could be completely possible”

fetch: “if prince sees crown hurting baron that would be a mega fuck up on crowns part”

fetch: because they're loyal to crown but childhood friendships run deep

boo: or maybe baron's just not that big of a risk

fetch: yeah maybe that too

also during my reading back I saw what jayyy and a couple others were planning. not a fuckin fan at all if you ask me”

fetch: “trying to "summon" crown or sacrifice yourself for him is in no way shape or form a good idea

just because I broke control doesn't mean everybody can”

fetch: “and if you just flat out say "if I get yoinked feel free to use me for information" then thats just? not going to make crown take you if he knows you're gonna do that?

or at the very least he's gonna keep you in the dark

i sat against the wall of the dressing room and swirled the unopened bottle of beer against the tile floor in front of me. it made a mesmerizing sound as the glass scraped against the linoleum. it was the only thing really keeping my attention. it had been a rough couple of days and i wanted nothing more than to feel normal again.

i watched slash slide down the wall out of my peripherals, hearing him sigh as he hit the floor with his full weight. we sat in silence until i broke my trance, opening the bottle finally, i just stared down into it. slash cleared his throat but i didnt look at him.

"You okay?"

He asked, nudging my arm with his elbow. I took a quick swig of my beer, making a sour face at the taste.

"As okay as I usually am."

I sighed out.

"So not very?"

He asked, sending me a look. I looked over at him and shrugged.

"I'm sure things could be better but I'm living life one day at a time."

He shook his head.

"That's no way to live."

i sighed again, taking another drink.

"is it ever?"

he hummed.

"well no, but whats been up lately? you haven't really seemed like yourself."

i took another swig.

"havent i?"

i asked, raising a brow quickly. he frowned at me.

"none of us think so. the rest of the guys have noticed it too. you arent the same as you were a week ago."

i sighed, dropping my head back into the wall and looking to the ceiling.

"im lost."

he looked a little confused.

"youre lost?"

i looked over at him, watching his hair as it fell into his face.

"i dont know, my mood just tanked all of a sudden. i have no drive, i dont want to do anything. the only reason im here is because i have to be."

he tried to examine my face but i was on the whole expressionless.

"you couldve stayed on the bus, not that it wouldve helped, but you couldve."

i let out a short laugh, bringing the beer bottle to my lips.

"i thought getting out wouldve made an impact, ya know, keep myself busy to forget about it."

He nodded.

"it didnt."

I said and he sighed out, pinching the bridge of his nose. i looked back ahead of me, staring at the wall. we sat in silence for a bit until he shot up, drawing my attention and looking at him like he was crazy. he offered his hand to me.

"come on."

he said, more chipper now. i raised a brow.

"what?"

he shook his hand, wanting me to take it.

"come on, get up. we're going on an adventure."

i drew my brows before reluctantly taking his hand, setting my beer on the ground where i was just sat.

"where are we going?"

i asked as he pulled me out of the room and into the hall.

"It a surprise, but you have to come along to find out, thats why its an adventure."

i followed closely behind him, still unsure about the situation he was dragging me into. he walked comfortably down the hallway, looking from room to room as we went. i just watched him, trying to figure out what he was really after as we moved further into the venue. he nodded to the venue workers as we passed them, his grip on my hand getting tighter, making it known to them that we were attached. he relented as he ducked under pipelines and around mic stands. suddenly i was forced into someone.

"hey! watch where youre going!"

i heard as i looked up with wide eyes. in front of me was a large bald man with a stern gaze and i suddenly realized i was no longer tethered to slash. i looked to my suddenly empty hand in panic before looking back up the man.

"whats your deal?"

he asked, harshly. i looked around but the curly mess of hair was nowhere to be found. i breathed deeply.

"do you speak or are you just here to get in the way?"

the man said a bit louder. i jumped.

"no, i, i, uh-"

i stuttered out. he looked like he was waiting for an answer.

"you just gonna stand there looking stupid with your hand in the air or are you gonna move out of my way?"

he grunted out. then my hand got snatched away from me and i looked to slash with relief.

"sorry dude, i guess i lost my girl."

he apologized, pulling me to him. the man watched us as slash led us away from the man.

"keep her on a leash or something! i dont have time for road blocks!"

he called after us. slash waved his hand in the air.

"will do man."

he said before looking at me like 'yeah right' and making me giggle. slash looked around before ducking into an empty room.

"dude i thought id lost you there for a second. i saw one of the crew and went to squeeze your hand and i realized youre hand wasnt in mine anymore."

he let out a nervous laugh.

"it looks like i found you just in time though cause that dude looked like he meant business."

i nodded in agreement.

"yeah that was kinda scary."

we both laughed a little at the situation.

"but i found this place."

he said excitedly. i looked around, it was dimly lit but the furniture looked much better than the dressing rooms we were in. part of me wondered if it had been an office at one point but was now a storage room. i looked up as the light flickered overhead.

"spooky."

i said happily, raising my brows at him.

"well, im glad you like it cause i set this up for us."

i drew my brows as he took my hand again and led me around the bulky couch in the middle of the room. my mouth dropped at the layout of food, wine, and candles on the floor; all of it arranged on top of a black blanket.

"where did you get all of this?"

i asked, a bit shell-shocked. he half smiled at me, rubbing his arm.

"Well, i noticed youve been down for a bit and wanted to do something nice. i also figured we had a decent amount of time before the show starts so i went out and got this stuff earlier with a little help from duff and he helped me set it up. all i had left to get was you."

i could feel tears stinging my eyes. no one had really ever done anything this nice for me before and it made my heart ping. He really new what to do to make me feel better, he always did. i sent him a smile before pulling him in for a hug. he held me tightly to him, burying his face into my neck.

"thank you, slash, it means a lot."

i whispered against him. he pulled away and helped me sit.

"i wasnt sure exactly what you would like but we asked the lady at the shop down the street what she would want and thats just kinda what we got."

he said bashfully. i leaned over and kissed his cheek quickly.

"its great. really. it is."

i reassured as he started pouring two glasses of wine. he cleared his throat as he handed me one of the glasses.

"i, uh, also had a question for you while we're here."

he looked down at the blanket, and i almost thought i saw a small blush on his face but it was hard to tell in the low light.

"ask away."

i said raising  the glass to him in cheers and taking a sip. i watched as he swirled the liquid around in his own glass.

"well, i was wondering, if maybe youd want to go on a date with me. like officially."

i smiled widely at him.

"id love that."

he gladly returned the smile.

"great! i mean i know weve kind of gone on a date before but it wasnt legit, and yes i kind of blame axl for ruining that one-"

i laughed a little bit, shaking my head.

"lets call it a trial run."

i said, making him laugh too.

"well then i already feel more comfortable."

he clinked his glass against mine in cheers.

"same here."

i noted, taking a small box out of the basket and setting it next to me. he snorted.

"like a skeleton key to your happy place."

he said. i nodded.

"exactly!"

he laughed a little bit before taking another sip of his wine.

"you have no idea how happy that makes me."

he said, leaning back in his spot. i leaned over, close to him.

"the feeling is mutual."

i said lowly, watching his eyes flicker to my lips.

Aw, I missed it too, anon! That was the downside of closing my ask box. I was assured I wouldn’t see any spoilers before I wanted to, but I was sorry to put a hard pause on any cool questions anyone had to ask. I don’t normally have any HCs that I get on my own (since they’re usually tied into the plot of any given fic I’d wanna write and usually not a “this is how I Always with a capital A think about X”), but let’s see about upcoming plots! I’ve left you guys hanging for a little while now.

Mafia AU

Firstly, I’m probably going to be actively working on Mafia AU with @kimium again in the next few days. Holy cow, seriously, she has the patience of a saint with this AU. I could not ask for a more understanding person to be writing that with, because I have not been looking at the Mafia AU or really much writing at all in Forever. Granted, I was very busy with real life stuff and final projects/work as my study abroad was coming to a close, but I probably would have been understandably annoyed if I had to be partnered with myself for that too because I have been So Bad. Like, Very Bad about writing! So thank you, @kimium, for your kindness. You deserve a reward. Seriously.

(Did anyone notice that I wrote less fic when I was in Japan? I sure did! I felt bad about it, but while I loved being there and all my classes and friends, I really had no energy or time for anything that didn’t immediately pertain to university life in some way. My hobbies all got put on a big hold while I was over there. But I’m back now! And am working on making more time for myself for creative outlets!)

Spooky FE14 Fic

Also, I have another FE14 Spooky Horror Fic that’s on the way! With all the FE ships you know I love to write! Probably… somewhere between ½ to ¾ths done? Including blocking for future scenes, I’m at about 37K word count right now. That will go up as I take the blocking and turn it into actual dialogue and narration and stuff, lol. It’ll still be a while before I’m done though. I’ve had this thing sitting in my drafts for literal months and haven’t been able to work on it in a while. But I want to very badly!

I’m trying hard to make this spooky fic different from my previous fics. I don’t want to spoil too much, but I am actively trying to make sure I have a few different dynamics than who I paired up in Dark Things Grew (which you should check out if you like spooky stuff!) and also more getting together than established relationship. Also more, like, having real flaws in relationships and as people? But we’ll see how that works out, haha. It’s my first time writing a lot of things, so it’s a little new to me too. And spooky in the “oh no, what if people don’t it when characters are, like, realistically an asshole?” But I want to to be good! And I think you’ll like it! Or at least some will, haha.

FE3H

I sat down trying to write some FE14 stuff earlier, but I think the 3H bug really bit me because when I tried to write, something just wasn’t clicking right. And I just kept thinking about some of my 3H faves?? So I guess I’m halfway through a short-ish Caspar/Linhardt fic now, lol. (I also have a half-written Raphael/Ignatz in my drafts too, but I don’t know if I like it or not, so we’ll see if I ever come back to it. I’m thinking of that one as a warm-up.)

But it’s been literally a minimum of 2 years since I’ve written something that wasn’t for FE14, so getting to know new characters again is interesting. Normally I like to scan wikis and consume literally everything about a character before I write them so I write them as accurately as possible, but 3H is so new that a lot of that info is really scarce rn! So I’m nervous! But trying!

Chef/Baker AU Owain! (I also talk to @kimium about this often. But also I know nothing about baking or cooking at all so like??? We’ll see if I ever get this one done, haha.)

AU where Owain (and maybe the others, but this is more Owain focus) is an Android but nobody knows it except him. (Slowburn Leo/Owain/Niles? And also maybe Nina and Forrest are there?? This one is also a little vague but it Haunts me)

I wanna write a fic like this one where Inigo made a deal and the price of Severa and Owain living was their memories except this time around it’s more of the aftermath and a little more magic is involved. Also, Owain/Inigo established relationship but Owain forgot. Also, Owain hates Inigo.

On that same line, I want to write a fic that takes place during the “Owain and Inigo Do Not Get Along” time period of their lives. I always write them as established friendship. But they legit were Not Friends in Awakening for a good part of their friendship. They would die for each other but also shove each other’s faces in the dirt if they could. I want to write that. Also maybe with hate romance.

Established Leo/Nlies Modern AU where Owain is their neighbor/someone they know who they sleep with on the regular. Owain thinks it’s all casual. Is it??? *Eye emoji*Insecure Owain? (maybe tied in with the above? maybe something else? mentioned in another fic I’m writing and I want to explore it more. He so easily has breakdowns in canon when Felicia and Severa call him weird.)

haven’t done a read more in a while... bunch of trigger warnings (surrounding abuse) ahead

i have a lot of things running through my head right now. i have for the past week and a half now. nothing short of one extreme thought to the next. it first started out with wondering if my unexplained diagnoses could be some form of bipolar disorder. one top of that, my health insurance is in the clouds so i can’t pick up my meds yet and i’m going through some emotional and mental withdrawals instead of physical ones. the other day i had a full blown episode and the ONLY thing that helped was doping up on my emergency anxiety meds to help me sleep the ENTIRE day. 

on top of it all, im still needing to move out as soon as i can. there is a lot of factors to take into consideration, but moving out is my absolute number one priority now. i cannot live here anymore. it might seem like an exaggeration, but i think living here is slowly eating away at my sanity.

fast forward to today, and my post about my victimology class. day one of this class i knew i’d be opening up a box stuffed away in my mind that read ‘do not open, ever’ and yet, i took a box cutter and ripped that shit open wide.

so, since january of this year ive been treading lightly around the contents of what was inside the box. but today, oh boy, today i finally sat down and looked at them. 

physical abuse. thats something i didn’t want to say. thats something i was on the fence about for the better part of five years now. “no, it was just a misunderstanding” i would say to myself. its true, what you can tell others often times you can tell yourself. thats literally textbook responses for victims. its not that i didn’t know, i just didn’t want to acknowledge it yet. or at all. 

no, it doesn’t stop there. there is something deeper down in that box that i didn’t dare take out until today. im already peeling back the physical abuse, might as well get the final piece out of the box. now, before i even begin, it’s not rape. i know that for a fact. honest. unless my brain has REALLY made me forget shit, it’s not anything extremely sexual. 

my dad would tickle my sister and i without having any self control. he wouldn’t stop when we would scream it out. he would have us literally pinned to the ground so we couldn’t escape. i can recall a few incidents where i pissed myself because he wouldn’t stop. 

just because someone is laughing while its happening, doesn’t mean its not painful or traumatizing. thats the automatic response. centuries ago, and even today in some countries, they have tickle-torture. like for FUCKS sake that shit is so far from ok. 

1) he pinned us down 2) he didn’t stop when we screamed at him to stop 3) we would piss ourselves 4) sometimes our wrists would hurt for a while afterwards

this is borderline sexual abuse. in some definitions it is. i don’t know how i would conclude it, i’ll ask my therapist when i see her in a couple of weeks. i know she’ll leave it up to me, but i want her honest opinion. part of me wants to be a little dramatic about this, but knowing that i’ve been right and validated by her with my assumptions before i know deep down what she’ll say.

i don’t know if he’s done anything else with my sister, but he’s done a few other more physical-based actions with me. when i was younger, he would grab me if i wasn’t getting what he was saying during an argument we were having. it wasn’t anything incredibly aggressive, but it was tight around my arm. at one point, when i was no older than five, he carried me up to the master bedroom and pinned me to the bed and yelled at me right in my face about how i was acting like ‘a baby’. five years old. 

that was the only time he got that aggressive with his physical actions. the last time he did anything physical was when i was still in my cast and using crutches. he was wanting to start an argument and i wasn’t having it. he was in my room but i knew i couldn’t yell at him to get out, so i started for the bathroom. but before i could even make my first step with my crutches to get out of my chair, he ripped one of the crutches from me and it nearly made me fall over. i was stunned, since he hadn’t done anything physical in a long time. but ooooooh it made me furious. i kept my cool, but that will forever haunt me. 

and something else that is crossing boundaries that could lead to some sexual abuse of some kind is the fact that BOTH my parents don’t really understand intimate boundaries. or just boundaries in general. what i mean specifically is that they seem to think it’s ok that they can just walk around almost naked. as a kid i don’t remember it bothering me much, but that is most likely because i had to suppress any trauma from that. it got so bad that i legit thought it was normal that parents did that. dear god how fucking gross is this??? i haven’t seen my dad naked before thank GOD, but i have seen my mom naked. and it wasn’t because i accidentally walked in on her changing or anything. how in the FUCK did she not learn that when people are in the house that you just don’t walk around naked??????????? like “oops i forgot my towel, i’ll have to yell out a) can someone bring it to me or b) yell out that i need to step out naked for a second” like AT LEAST do those two things jesus FUCK.

i knew about ^ earlier than the newest cesspool of shit i opened up today. i knew the previous physical interactions with my dad in arguments wasn’t healthy either, but for years i’ve completely denied that it was a problem, and for five years i desperately denied that it was physical abuse because i didn’t want to deal with it. i didn’t want to hear it. i didn’t really want to try and work through all of that.

what makes my experience the LITERAL worst is that everything is in a grey area of definition. nothing i’ve experienced is textbook definition. no one could catch on just by looking at any of us. hell, i fucking cheated the system even though i have many undiagnosed disorders and unspecified learning disabilities that are most likely dyslexia and dyscalculia. the four of us were very, very good a hiding a lot from public eye. thats why ive always hesitated when talking about my childhood in this light. its not an easy explanation to people who aren’t familiar with different kinds of abuse. 

yeah, i don’t have to explain shit to anyone. i’m learning to really take that to heart, because people need to trust me when i say that i’ve been abused. emotionally and now, i guess, physically. no matter to what degree and how repetitive it was/is its still abuse.

i need to move. i don’t know where to go. i don’t have a lot of money. im still recovering from my car accident. im a college student. i have a cat to take care of. i have a job but it’s proving to be literal hell, but i have one lined up and it pays the same. everything is up in the air and i cannot control much of it. but i know for SURE that i need to move as soon as i can. i don’t know what to do at this point. i want to start a gofundme, but i hate asking for money like this. i want to talk with extended relatives, but good lord i can only imagine how that would play out. im contemplating moving out to arizona. i could live with my aunt and uncle and pay rent, but that still isn’t moving out. is it? i just have to leave. im desperate now.

Im not updated enough w the ships but did stony get wincested? I mean like. In the SPN fandom the biggest ship if not only at first was wincest, and then a new ship appeared called destiel and totally overpowered it? Thered be the common drama of ship wars but i wanted to know if thats what happened?

lol I guess!?!?! Kind of. I don’t think it was so much of an overpowering as it was a massive butting of heads. SteveTony is still a very big ship but Stucky is also a very popular ship though fairly new since most of it stems only from MCU. Kind of different than a ship encompassing only a TV show.

So here’s what happened. The full damned story. Probably fft. its gonna be a long one folks so strap in. This isn’t really a call out but if you were curious as to why there’s so much damned fighting in the marvel fandom over really dumb shit this is an unbiased as possible explanation. Beware. I think the whole thing is dumb but I got some extra time right now.

Back in 2006 and 2007 Marvel Comics decided to have an event. You probably heard about it and they made a big movie about it. Civil War. Civil War was promoted as being a huge rift that cut down through the lines of the Marvel 616 Universe. Do you register and be accounted for your actions as a super human, or do you protect the privacy of yourself and your loved ones in an effort to fight without the limitations of government and the fear you might be policed and punished just for having powers AND put your family at risk of Supervillains (many who are tech geniuses) accessing your information and attacking your loved ones.

That was the premise. What it ended up being was a huge divorce between Steve and Tony. Like LEGIT it read as this HUGE divorce. They’ve fought many times before but they always sort of end up back together as buds. Now as fandom we took that full stop as they are clearly in love. They are divorced.

And now Steve is dead. LETS FIX IT. So since 2006-2007 a huge wave of new fans started writing fanfic. Started doing fanart. We got horny Commander Rogers when Steve eventually came back. Tony wiped his brain and we got fics from that. Steve creates his own team and refuses to give Thor and Tony to Luke to use as Avengers.

Then in 2008 Iron Man 1 is released. A bit later Captain America is released. Having known about the comics before and the rift between the two this is where yours truly gets involved. *Smash bros voice LYDIA HAS ENTERED THE HORNY GAME* 

Captain America being released is also I believe the start of Steve/Bucky. Because in this universe Bucky isn’t a small child/teenager (A Robin to Cap’s Batman) so its less gross. (All things being honest I definitely drew bottom steve with young Bucky hohoho ho)

So then in 2012 Avenger 1 is released. And there’s a fresh wave of MCU fans. A lot came over from being 616/Ultimates fans but a lot were brand spanking new fans. 

And then Winter Soldier was released. And it was a big gay romance between Cap and Bucky and the power of LOOVE!!!! AND FRIENDSHIPP!!!!!! Like in the WInter Soldier comics Steve has to use a cosmic cube to free Bucky’s mind and in the movie all it took was Steve Can-do attitude and his pure kokoro.  Its great.

However. This is when TENSIONS RISE. Stucky being a relatively new ship and SteveTony being a fairly old ship have one common denominator and that’s Steve. And its the typical well this ship is better than that ship. This ship is older than that ship. This ship has more MEANING than that ship. This ship is PROBLEMATIC. And its been going on to this day. It escalated again when Civil War came out. Becaus Civil War is supposed to be a Steve movie but reads as an Avengers movie. But the big point of the movie is like in the comics the splitting of Steve and Tony. A big damned divorce. Now is that divorce a divorce because they can’t find a common ground, or is it that Steve’s love for Bucky over-rides his rational thought and makes him fairly hypocritical because well shit he just loves Bucky so much. He says it to Wanda “Rumlow said Bucky and I...”

It was a movie just asking for shipping wars to happen.

So that’s WHERE this stems from. But here’s the issue. I have no doubt there are plenty of SteveTony fans causing just as much shit as anyone else. But at least from my experience, the Stucky fans have been far and wide more aggressive in harassing artists, even artists who don’t speak English as a first language, harassing the actors, harassing the comic book writers and artists who don’t have anything to do with movies, claiming that they’re homophobic for wanting to have a story with Bucky (who is still in love with Natasha [and that’s a whole other ship war there]) team up with Hawkeye (who is also still mostly in love with Natasha) to hunt down Natasha. When the author said “Hey this story doesn’t have gay people in it unfortunately but here are a list of comics that have gay characters in it” they ignored them and continued saying they were being transphobic. Because the person happened to be a trans man and disagreeing with them was transphobia. Which had nothing to do with what had happened at all. They’re the same fans that in person and over radio harass Sebastian Stan so much that he has to hide who he’s dating. 

They’re the same types of fans who call me a hateful cunt (which..probably true lbr) but I haven’t done anything recently. They’re the types of fans who come up to me at a con and whisper “Are you a stucky or a stony fan” And I (Because I was raised right) tell them “Oh I like both but I have a preference for Stony”. And then the person walks away. I’ve had friends tell me of their own horror stories at artist alleys where Stucky fans will open a book (clearly labeled as stevetony) go “UGH GROSS” and then put it down.

They’re the types of fans who refuse to watch an Iron Man movie but will say things like “I wish Tony would get captured and tortured by Hydra so he would know what Bucky felt like” (Which...omg that’s literally the first 20 minutes of the first iron man and the start of the MCU my dude)

They’ve attacked Thorki (and other ships and don’t get me wrong I get why people would complain about Thorki. Thorki;s generally know and don’t care about those complaints)

They’ve made entire articles on CBR, on Polygon on other internet news pages, as editors they’ve had some feisty tweets that causes some fans to worry that storylines they were enjoying (ex: Bucky/Natasha’s relationship) will get lost and destroyed in favor of a ship.

Now generally. This isn’t anything unusual. These fans exist in every fandom. And I have Stucky friends, (My BFF, one of my coworkers) and we get along just fine. Because we’re old ass ladies who realize that a ship doesn’t define our life. I think Stucky has some of the most jaw droppingly beautiful artwork this fandom has produced.

They just unfortunately have a lot of bad apples that seem to have only time to hassle other people and try to tear down other fans and have the loudest voices.

Also I’m 1000000% not saying that SteveTony fans probably don’t start as much shit as the rest but from my experience and from what I’ve seen SteveTony fans only ever bitch about Stuckys after the fact. After they’ve been hassled or saw something that was really rude or very non-canon complaints (if that last bit makes sense)

Oddly enough it kind of died down a little with the MCU killing half of the cast including Bucky (he’ll be fine I’m sure). But occassionally someone gets a lot of built up energy and wants to come into my ask box and tell me that I’m an elitist shipper.

PERSONALLY. I like to think of SteveTony and Stucky as Coke and Pepsi. You’re going to have a preference for one or the other. And you’re either gonna tell the waiter “I’d rather have a water” instead of the opposite one that you like, just agree and order what they have bc honestly who cares its basically the same or you’re going to be rude to the waiter, complain the entire time, leave a bad review on yelp and not tip him.

(the second part of a request from an anon! where the reader is Juice’s twin brother that moved away from Queens to Charming for a new start and falls for a certain sandy haired son)

p.s legit thought that this was only going to be 3 parts max but I didn’t factor in the fact that i always get carried away and that this is all so cute that it is consuming me more than i ever thought possible? so this is going to be part 2 of 4 (for now but knowing me i’m going to turn it into a whole McFreakin’ book or some shit)

Tig was trying to rile you up, you knew he was, but that didn’t stop you giving him exactly what he wanted. You grabbed him by the front of his kutte and you couldn't give a shit about disrespecting the leather and sons of Anarchy colours when he was disrespecting you like he was. You had had enough of your sexuality being the butt of all of his jokes. You knew he was joking and he didn’t mean it, not really, but that didn’t stop it from offending you. Juan was getting sick of it too but he let you fight your own battles now you were both adults.

“Say that again,” you hissed lowly, “you bastard.”

“I said,” Tig said loudly with a laugh, “I’m not gonna let a gay kid beat me in the ring. Unless you’re scared-”

You bashed him roughly against the brick wall of the work bay while he grappled at your hands and work shirt; trying to get you to release him but his attempts proving fruitless. His eyes showed panic and pain, there was blood running from his nose and down his chin from where you had punched him to try and get him to shut up. Despite the expression on his face, he laughed as you were wrenched away from the older man. 

You struggled against Kozik’s grip. He had pulled your arms behind you, almost like a police grip, and was pulling you away. Even though he was strong, he was struggling to do so. Kozik practically threw you into the parking lot then pushed you back by the chest when you had rounded on him to get back to Tig.

“That’s enough!” Chibs commanded from where he had been watching the brawl and walking over to you, “Stop this now. You know he doesn’t mean it!”

“I don’t give a fuck if he means it or not,” you growled at the Scottish man, “I’ve had to deal with that shit all my life. I’m not dealing with it here, get it?”

“Alright, alright,” Chibs sighed with an understanding nod at you before turning to Kozik, “go deal with that dickhead. I’ll get the kid calmed down.”

“I’m not a kid!”

“Yeah? Then stop fucking acting like one!”

He grabbed you by the scruff of the neck and started walking you off but you fought him off. Chibs let go and put his hands up in surrender but followed you anyway. When you cast a glance back, Kozik grinned at you then turned back to go have a look at Tig’s face. 

“I’m takin’ bets on a fight night,” Chibs told you and took a drag of his cigarette, “first match is you against him. If you’re willing to clear the air in public.”

“If he’s not scared of losing to a fa-”

“Enough Box! Are you in? I’m sick and tired of you bein’ at each others throats all the time.”

“Yeah,” you spat, “I’m in.”

“Right. 2 weeks time, you and him in the ring then all this gets put to rest. Yeah?”

You had been sleeping peacefully, in a drunk and stoned stupor, snoring away when you were woken up by a voice in your ear.

“Box,” you heard them whisper in your ear, “time to get up.”

When you opened your eyes you saw Kozik stood over your bed, with his arms folded and that stupid grin on his face, you sat up with a gasp and pulled the blankets up over your naked body and stared up at him with wide eyes.

“What the fuck man?!” You shrieked hoarsely, “get out!”

Kozik laughed at your now bright red face but didn’t leave. When he didn’t say anything you shook your head in a ‘what the fuck’ kind of way. You knew you weren’t the most attractive person while you were sleeping, especially after a night of drinking and smoking. You hastily wiped the drool off of your cheek and tried to fix your bedhead.

“You know you snore?” He asked with a laugh.

“Yeah, thanks,” you said with a scoff.

“Get up now; we’re going training.”

“Training?”

“Yeah. I bet $64 on you winning and I’m not gonna get it back with that right hook so get up, get dressed.”

He picked some shorts and a black shirt from a pile of clothes from the pile of clean washing on the desk chair to throw them at you. He then stood looking around and the room that you were sleeping in.

“Uh, kinda naked here bro,” you said and held the blankets tighter to your bare chest, “you wanna leave?”

Kozik smirked, knowing he had already seen everything, but turned to leave anyway. Once the door was shut, you checked the time and groaned, standing up and pulling on the clothes.

“Are you joking?” You asked him as you stormed through to see him sat drinking coffee at the little dining table in the kitchen, “it’s 6-fucking-05 in the morning. What is your problem?”

“Gotta get there before the crowds. Come on. Let’s go, we’re jogging to the gym.”

He stood up and hit you on the bicep as he walked passed you and out the front door. You sighed and followed him, stretching and yawning as you went.

Evidently, you weren’t as fit as you thought you had been. You had been jogging for a total of 10 minutes and you already needed to sit down since you were puffing, panting and sweating profusely. You grabbed the back of Kozik’s shirt and braced yourself on your knees before collapsing on some nearby grass. Your running partner chuckled then same to sit by you. Luckily, it was still morning and reasonably cool out.

You had only been in Charming for about 6 weeks but you were already sick of the heat. You were so used to the chillier, grey weather in Queens and you hadn’t yet acclimatised to it like Juan had but then again, he was always a fan of warmer weather. You used to say he was like a lizard.

“Come on Box,” Kozik groaned once you had caught your breath, “we’ve been sat here for 20 minutes and I actually want to get to work today.”

“I still have to go to work after the gym?” You huffed then rolled onto your side and curled up in a ball when he nodded.

“Stop being a drama queen.”

“Who are you calling queen?” You asked venomously.

“You know I didn’t mean it like that! Fuck you’re grouchy in the morning!”

You sat up to glare at him and saw that he was already stood up and was holding his hand out you to help you up. You sighed in defeat, taking his hand and letting him help you stand and you weren’t sure but maybe he held it for a second too long when you were on your feet. And maybe there was that mischievous glint in his blue eyes but you couldn’t know for sure because as soon as you had thought you had seen it he had turned around to run on ahead of you.

Training with Kozik was simultaneously the toughest but most entertaining thing you had done in your life, kind of. You had got a chance to talk to him properly about everything you had been through and it was nice to open up to somebody that wasn’t Juan. As much as your brother loved you, you knew he was getting fed up of hearing about your ex. He would never say anything to you about it but you could just tell. That twin intuition, you know?

Kozik had listened patiently to your worries while you battered the punching bag. He eased your concerns that the guys hadn’t accepted you as yourself and still just thought of you as one half of The Juice Box, that they all thought you were running away from your past, that they didn’t accept you for your sexuality with them being a biker gang and all.

“You know the guys talk shit but honestly Box... listen to me. They love you, alright? We all do besides, we all got our thoughts on Tig. Nobody gives a fuck if you’re gay. And yeah, you’re Juice’s brother but you’re also Box. We get you’re a different guy all together. Got better hair for a start,” Kozik had told you, ruffling your sweaty hair and making you laugh; diffusing the tense atmosphere you had brought with you that one particular day, “and don’t worry about running from where you came from; we all got something we’re running towards. You know?”

You hadn’t been ashamed to wipe away a few tears when he told you that; you needed to hear that and it meant so much coming from him. But as he patted you comfortingly on the shoulder you couldn’t help wondering what it was that he was running to. 

On the plus side, you hadn’t been in better shape for a long time. You were waking up at 6am every morning without needing him to barge into your room and drag you out of bed. He had given you special instructions not to drink, smoke, do drugs for the entire 2 weeks you had been training with him and he had even put you on a special diet. This mostly consisted of you sharing his lunch, normally some kind of salad with lean meat or pasta, while you were working and him bringing you the food for your dinner. It was nice to have someone looking out for you every now and again.

You had a good little routine going too, wake up at 6 then run to the gym with Kozik at 6:30; work out and train until 8 so you were all ready to hit the showers and seeing him in just a towel afterwards was always a bonus, not that you would tell him that of course; he was already big-headed enough. 

The buzz around TM and the club house was electric on the day of the fight. Word had got out that Kozik was training you up and teaching you the way that Tig fought so he had enlisted the help of Chibs. This meant that it was no longer just a competition to see who was the better fighter but also who was the better coach too. The animosity and fighting talk was so bad between the two teams that Clay had to schedule the shifts so that neither team was mixed together. You had tried to defend yourselves and say that it was all friendly but Clay was having none of it.

You had also been promoted to “mechanic’s assistant” which essentially meant you were Kozik’s own personal go-fer boy and he was loving it; he was asking you to get any number of different things that he could easily get for himself. Every time you complained about it, he would remind you that Clay was keeping an eye on you to see if you were worth keeping on the team which would make you grumble but kick him the wrench that was about 3 inches away from his hand.

The sound of a motorcycle drew you out of your angry thoughts and you turned to see Juan climbing off of his motorcycle wearing his Sons of Anarchy kutte and sunglasses. He carried himself differently when he was wearing the vest and you kind of wanted one too but you had a feeling that regardless of how accepting they were as people, the other charters and club rules probably wouldn’t allow a gay man into the club. It didn’t stop you craving the sense of belonging that your brother had found with them though.

You were leaning casually against the front of a green dodge charger, beside Kozik as he was under the hood of the car, as you ate the rest of the blonde man’s chicken salad, when Juan came sloping over to you with his eyebrows raised and a smirk on his face. You sent your twin a quizzical look which he returned sarcastically.

“You ready for tonight little brother?” Juan asked you, “you think you’re gonna win?”

“Uh yeah,” You scoffed, stuffing another bite in your mouth, “why? You got no faith in me?”

“Nah, obviously I do. I just mean that Chibs is a good coach, that’s all.”

With that comment, Kozik raised himself from under the hood of the car and stepped in front of you, between you and Juan, with his arms folded and his chest puffed out. Juan tried his best not took look threatened but his small step backwards betrayed his smug face. You peeked over Kozik’s shoulder and smiled around another bite of salad. Your brother looked between you and Kozik with a knowing smile but said nothing, turning to head into the clubhouse.

You knew Juan knew about your teeny tiny, minuscule crush on your fighting coach. Again the twin intuition, but knew better than to call you out on it. 

“You wanna pass me that wrench?” Kozik asked you once you had clipped the lid back on his tupperware tub.

He was pointing to a black handled tool in the tool box. All he had to do was bend down and grab it but he really was loving having you as his personal servant. With a sigh, you bent down to grab it and give it to him but he stood with his hand out stretched until you had placed it in his palm but even then he didn’t close his fingers around it.

“I meant the other one, the one next to it,” he said, that mischievous glint back in his eyes.

You sighed and raised your eyebrows at him before grabbing the other wrench and swapping it for the next size down. 

“No, the other one,” he grinned.

“Are you fucking kidding?”

“Less of the attitude mister,” he hit you in the chest with the wrench you had just given him before turning back into the car, “Clay is always watching you. You wanna be my butler forever?”

“If I don’t kill you first,” you muttered but turned away when you saw Clay peering at you through the blinds in the office.

“What?”

“Nothing man, just saying how much of an honour it would be.”

“Yeah. That’s what I thought you said.”

You laughed with him and brushed your shoulder against his as you lent under the hood to watch what he was doing, sharing a look with him before he turned back to his work with a smile on his face.

like i’m genuinely still bewildered that i had a fucking anon in my ask box sweatier than your average league of legends player asking if i shipped 2nu all because they needed to decide whether to block me or not over a ship. i love tumblr mentality!!!! and i actually felt BAD over reblogging a moodboard i found nice to look at because i didn’t want to be seen in a negative light in a fandom that i’m probably going to drop within the next few months anyway because the majority of the people in it are toxic enough to make nuclear waste look eco friendly

am i incorrect for thinking its wrong to literally attack people over shipping???? am i stupid or something??? legit feel free to answer if you are perfectly fine with harassing people over something that doesnt matter because it’s fucking fictional and literally anything anybody does has zero impact on you and you can just block the damn person you find offensive. if youre blocking people over ships then you must be one shallow fuck who needs to go the fuck outside for five goddamn minutes instead of staying cooped up on a website that basically forces people to be afraid of stepping out of line for more than a second.

it’s totally fine to call out someone on genuinely disgusting behavior like people who consistently ship children with full grown adults or get off of those kinds of relationships, but it’s never been okay to attack actual teenagers or children over doing something stupid that when they get older they’ll fucking understand why it could be harmful to some people. it’s one story if its an adult fetishizing the relationship, it’s a whole different thing if its a kid just doing something for fun no matter how much you want to believe theyre going out of their way to make people upset.

we all do stupid shit when we’re kids because we don’t know any better. i’ll happily say i said, wrote, and drew really nasty shit when i was younger but thats because i was a stupid kid and i didn’t know any better. nowadays i wouldn’t touch that shit with a hundred foot pole. half of these people are kids, half of you are grown ass adult. unless youre an adult specifically targeting adults who ship this garbage i don’t wanna fuckin hear it. if you’re 18+ years old, don’t harass kids. it’s super fucking easy. if they arent forcing their shit on you, then ignore them. dont be the person who picks fights with kids (a thing that a lot of people were criticizing ace’s character over when he was first revealed to be apart of the band, mind you).

SYNOPSIS:

You are forced to re-evaluate your slightly changed perception of Jimin when you find out that he planned the bathroom incident to get your attention. And the sudden appearance of the man you have crushed on since forever,  complicates the situation further as you find yourself caught between the two men who seem to dislike each other at first glance. 

A/N: This is all over the place but trust me it will all make sense. I cant do without drama I am sorry you guys!

The next day Jimin was the first one to have woken up. A heavy sensation hitting his lap he looked down and found you resting your head atop his thighs. His body stiffened, the muscles of his legs feeling heavier by the second. He didn’t know where to place his hands so he kept on moving them in broken motions through the air, sometimes placing them on the bleachers, and sometimes just letting them rest in the air for nothing felt comfortable enough. He didn’t want to wake you, and even if could somehow he didn’t know.

“Y/n” he cleared his throat. He slowly bent forwards across your back, until your face came in view. “Y/n..” his voice came out in an unintentional whisper. He groaned as your head was quite literally resting against his crotch, furthering his discomfort. “Aghhh…” he sighed and with a slight push rolled your body off of his. You fell onto the floor with a soft thud, waking up in panic at having come in contact with the cold floor.

Rubbing your head you surveyed your surroundings, with one eye half open and the other closed.  Suddenly memories of the past night, of your conversation with Jimin came rushing into your head. You gasped and briefly glanced at said boy who was busy looking elsewhere, giving out a vibe of awkwardness much like you.

“ If you breathe a word of this I swear y/n…” he trailed off.

“ Trust me I have no interest in being linked with you”

He cleared his throat once more, side eyeing you and breathing out in relief at finding you looking down at your lap.

“Good. I’ll leave first then” he stood up, gathered his duffel bad, swinging it over his shoulder and walked out without sparing you a second glance.

“Great. Just great…” you slapped yourself in frustration.

The air of awkwardness between you and Jimin would have been enough reason for you to drown yourself in a cup of water and possibly die. It was nothing you had experienced before. You tried your best to bring back your feelings of hatred for him, but you felt neutral after the conversation. You nearly couldn’t hate him as much as you wanted to and it was all because of how blinded you were in your pride and your judgement.

“ So wait.. you’re telling me that Jimin isn’t as bad as you previously made him out to be?” Yoongi asked and Taehyung eyed you with curiosity. The meeting between the three of you was supposed to be a co-operative measure to ensure both the student union and the magazine published their best pieces. But as soon as your tongue had slipped with regards to the night’s events the conversation had taken a turn for the worse. At least for you.

You nodded your head, avoiding meeting the piercing gaze of the two boys sitting on either side of you. You bit your lip and very briefly looked at each of them before looking back at your lap again.

“ I mean, I still don’t like him, but after what he told me yesterday about feeling like he was being used too, it sort of makes me rethink my opinion of him” you paused but continued when you saw their mouth opening to speak up, effectively cutting them off. “ But. That doesn’t mean his actions can be excused. He has been a jerk to me far too many times for me to give up on my dislike for him”

Yoongi shook his head and Taehyung sighed heavily.

“ You know you two are far too alike than you give yourselves credit for” yoongi piped up.

You looked at him in disgust, letting your mouth silently form the shape of the word ‘ew’.

“ Don’t you think y/n that both of you have absorbed yourselves so much in hating each other, and putting one another down, that you cannot really live without the attention?”

Your head snapped in Yoongi’s direction in lighting speed.

“ What is wrong with you? How can you say something as idiotically and superbly dumb as that? I didn’t expect this from you”

“ Thats right!” Taehyung snapped his fingers as if he had just figured out what Yoongi had claimed. “ Hyung is absolutely right. That whole bathroom thing was probably his way of getting you to pay him attention”

You looked at Taehyung like he had grown another head.

“ Oh come on. Think about it. You were completely zombie like at the time. You didn’t pay any attention to him what so ever, and then the whole bathroom incident happened and you finally snapped out of your stupor?”

You mulled over the idea in your head, remembering how satisfied Jimin had looked at your alarmed state and had let you insult him without really getting angry. You reminisced how Jeongguk had spilled the juice on you and had insisted you go to the bathroom to clean up.

“ Hold your horses you guys. He couldn’t possible have done that for attention. Thats just gross. Scratch everything I’ve said before.I fucking hate him if thats the case. Oh gosh… wow thats fucked up to say the least” you were hit with the sudden realization that it could be true.

Right at that moment Jimin walked by with Jeongguk, his eyes glued to yours.

“Wait Jimin” you jogged after him. “ I need to ask you something”

“The whole bathroom thing, was it just to get my attention?”

Jimin visibly gulped at being asked the question, and his eyes flickered to Jeongguk. The younger boy retuned the same look of shock. “ I’ll.. I’ll see you later hyung” he glanced in your direction before looking back at Jimin and nodding slightly, taking his leave.

“ Who told you that?” he looked at you, feeling a bit guilty and scared at the same time.

“Doesn’t matter. Was it or was it not?” You asked again

He immediately looked at the ground , avoiding your eyes.

“ I am sorry y/n.. I know.. I know it wasn’t the best decision but..”

“ Fuck that. It was so fucking disgusting Jimin. Using someone like that just to get my attention. You should have known better. You know what I was right about you. You really are the worst kind of person there can be. Who the fuck does that Jimin? Thats such an inhumane thing to do. I don’t give a crap if that was agreed on by both of you, you still used her. Your intentions were completely sadistic. I dont even… thats just fucked up. Completely fucked up. You knew very well I hate shit like that and yet you used it to get my fucking attention. Do you even know how that makes me feel?!” you stopped for breath.

You glared at him and for the first time you didn’t receive one back. You guessed he did feel bad, but it wasn’t enough.

“Y/n.. look..”

“ Save it Jimin” you held your hand up to silence him. Turning on your heels you walked back in the direction you came from, passing by a curious Taehyung and a confused Yoongi both of whom tried to stop you but failed. Your were livid and needed some time to figure your thoughts out.

You were sipping on your juice, fingernails digging in the juice box in anger. You crushed it and angrily threw it on the ground. Suddenly you felt a presence beside you , and with a side glance saw Jeongguk taking a seat next to you.

“If you dont mind..” He hesitantly sat down

You didn’t reply and continued looking out into the distance letting your eyes take in the sight of falling leaves leaves from the trees. The college courtyard was huge but it was peaceful. It was the perfect place for you to think.

“ I know he made a mistake. Actually we both did, and I know it wasn’t right in any way, but he was really worried about you”

You chuckled bitterly, looking at Jeongguk. “ If he was worried he should have come up with a different way to get my attention. This was far too much. I mean I don’t even have words…”

“ We can both be stupid sometimes. He thought he would need something major, and going by his track record this was all he could think of. Its not right but…” his eyes fell onto his lap in anticipation of your answer.

“ You guys are stupid all the time” you replied as a matter of factly. Silence surrounded you both for a moment before Jeongguk spoke up again

“ You didn’t see him y/n. He was pacing around worrying about why you had been ignoring him. He was legit worried as to why you weren’t reacting to anything he said or did. I can’t tell you why that is, but I swear to god his motive wasn’t to hurt you. Instead he just wanted you to be your usual self. You know hating him and all”

You looked at Jeongguk’s profile. He was quite young and handsome too. He had never ever spoken to you before and you tried to maintain your neutral expression despite the shock at witnessing a change in his personality. The boy who always had a scowl on his face was actually softer with his words and tone. He wasn’t much of a talker, but you figured he probably did mean his words if he was trying to apologize on Jimin’s behalf.

“ I am not asking for you to forgive him. I am asking for you to not misunderstand his real intention, which was to simply get you to be your normal self again. The road he took to get there was wrong but his motive wasn’t” With a long sigh Jeongguk stood up, looked down at you once more before turning away and resuming his steps in the direction he came from.

That same night you couldn’t fall asleep. The memories of the past day and the morning were too much for your brain to process all at the same time. You were unsure which Jimin was the real one. The one who stood up for his own integrity against your prejudice, or the one who used a woman demeaningly to get to you. You really hoped the former was the answer, but his actions proved otherwise.

Tossing and turning in your bed you kicked away your blanket. Your head had begun to take on a  splitting ache. You couldn’t put any of your thoughts together coherently. The more you thought about Jimin the more the situation worsened.  The worst part of it all was that you had started to believe that he was a good person. You had begun to let go of your assumption that he was the sum of his actions. It felt akin to having your trust broken because somehow you had started up on that road too. But he broke it.

With a final kick in the air and a groan you settled back into your bed, wishing for sleep to envelope because your thoughts were guaranteed to drive you insane.

Jimin on the other hand was busy taking out his anger on a punching bag. Yoongi and Jeongguk did nothing but stare at him with a bored expression, a look passing between the two boys when he punched the bag hard enough to hurt his hand.

“Fuck!” he yelled and harshly threw the gloves away, one of which ended up at Jeongguk’s feet.

“ I don’t understand why you’re acting like this” Jeongguk piped up but felt forced to look away because of  Jimin’s deathly glare.

“ I don’t know either” Jimin huffed, training his hands on his waist.

“ I do” Yoongi smirked. Both of the younger men looked at him, and then at each other wondering just what the hell he meant.

“ Hyung seriously don’t say anything stupid. I swear I am not in the mood”

“ I think you might like her Jiminie. Hear me out before you go on a tangent” Jimin glared at him in response but did as he was instructed. He waited for Yoongi to continue no matter how much he wanted to interrupt.

Jeongguk slightly shook his head at the older boy, who only nodded in response.

“ You’ve fallen for her and you don’t even know it. How do I explain this so that you get it” he paused and took on a thinking stance but putting his index finger on his lips. Yoongi was always good at explaining things but he just wasn’t sure how to explain it as simply as possible.

“ You always want her attention and when you don’t get it it makes you restless. Am I right?” he looked at Jimin, who avoided eye contact and awkwardly nodded.

“ Then you do illogical shit to get her attention?” Jimin nodded again.

“You like her. That’s as simple it is” yoongi shrugged satisfyingly feeling proud of himself for getting his point across as best he could.

“ That’s not me liking her. I don’t like her. I just… I just.. am so used to annoying her that it feels like something is missing when she doesn’t react” he glanced at Yoongi and found him shaking his head.

“ Don’t give me that hyung. I am serious I don’t like her at all. It’s just fun to irritate her”

“Then why are you so affected by her finding out about your stupid plan? Why does it matter if she’s back to her normal self again. Isn’t that what you wanted?”

“ I did… I mean I do. But… fuck. I don’t even fucking know. I can’t explain it. But I can tell you that you’re wrong”

“ As you say. I am off. I need to doze off now” Yoongi clicked his tongue and headed off for his room. Jeongguk followed suit because he didn’t want Jimin to ask him for his opinion since he wasn’t sure how to handle an angry Jimin.

Jimin was at the point of feeling livid, so much so that he could have killed someone. He turned to the punching bag once again and resumed his punching, this time without gloves. His knuckles were bruising at the impact but your words ringing in his ear masked all the pain he was feeling. Grunting and groaning he kept up at it until his hands couldn’t take it anymore. With a final yell he fell down splaying his hands and arms across the floor.

“Aish” he kicked the air with one foot, looking up at the sky chest heaving up and down from all the effort.

“Fuck…”

Taehyung had been bothering you for days about the annual retreat that was fast approaching. You on the other hand couldn’t care less about it. It was just another way for everyone to get drunk and pass out. Everyone was going to be there, everyone including the basketball team, which meant Jimin would be there too.  After the unfolding of recent events you couldn’t care less for the man, much less want to face him again. You had been trying to your best to avoid him the past couple of days, whether that be turning on your heels and changing your direction seeing him approach or look the other way and completely ignore his presence.

He hadn’t done anything to rile you up either. He let you be and you felt thankful for it. Rumors of your supposed dating were starting to die down given that he hadn’t really followed up on his plan to make your life hell by using said rumors to his advantage. It was weird because all this time you had been expecting some kind of blow, but you never once anticipated for it to come in the form of your building trust towards him being blown to smithereens. It hurt more than anything he could have put you through.

You were so lost in your own thoughts that you hadn’t noticed a figure take a seat next to you. You looked up to find Jimin sitting next you. You felt your anger being triggered at his sight. “Can we talk?” he didn’t look at you but instead focused all his attention on his lap. “I have nothing to say to you” standing up, you began to walk away but before you could take another step you felt yourself being tugged by the wrist. Looking behind you, a hand was enclosed around your wrist.

“Let go” your nostrils flared in anger, and your fingers curled into your palm.

“ Not until you listen to what I have to say”

“I am not interested in what you have to say” you pulled your wrist from his grasp so hard that it left marks of his fingers on your skin.

Reluctantly he stepped back , shoving his hands into his pockets. With a deep exhale he looked at you for the briefest of moments before pivoting on his heels and strolled back in the direction he came from. Hearing his footsteps retreat you turned back around watching him withdraw further from your eyesight until his figure was lost behind a crowd of students.

Clutching your knees with your hands, you stumbled back onto the bench feeling as if all the air had been knocked out of you.  Your heart was racing , your breaths coming out in broken sighs. Looking in the direction he had left you found yourself feeling overwhelmed with a mix of emotions none of which you could clearly identify. Covering your face with your hands you let it rest on your lap. You were on the verge of giving up but you couldn’t let him win that easily.

Sipping your coffee you looked around the cafeteria finding all students chattering amongst themselves. Taehyung sent next to you his nose buried in the article he was trying to write for the college magazine. You nudged his arm, trying to get him to pay attention to you. He glared at you before returning his focus back to the paper.

“Tae…” you whined, pinching his cheek.

He pushed your hand away. “Stop it. I am trying to work”

Despite knowing him for so long you couldn’t understand him at times.When he was focused he couldn’t see anything else, but when he wasn’t he was lazy more than anyone you knew. You watched as he penned down words, sometimes scratching and sometimes starting over all over again.

“Thank you” you took a sip of your coffee. This got his attention and slamming his notebook shut he looked at you finally giving you all of his undivided attention. You didn’t need him to ask anything because you knew he was wondering why you were feeling so thankful.

“If you hadn’t told me about Jimin, then I would have let myself be played by that jerk”

“ My love, first of all I didn’t tell you anything. We were just making assumptions. Second you pieced it all together and third I feel we shouldn’t have done that because now both of you are back to square one”

“If you didn’t I would have let myself..” your voice faded because you couldn’t complete the sentence for the fear of sounding stupid. How could you out of anyone begin to trust Jimin or change your opinion of him. He would always be a fuck boy, and unhealthy for you. There could never be anything between you two, not even friendship, not even a civilized relationship that exists between strangers.

You shook your head feeling ashamed for letting yourself fall for Jimin’s tricks. “Anyway. Jeongguk came to me. He sort of apologized I think? I don’t even know” you tried to steer the conversation away from Jimin.

“I am not surprised. He’s loyal to Jimin”

“Honestly, whatever. I am done with him. I’ve decided that I am completely going to ignore him and not indulge in any sort of relationship with him, even if that is hating him. I don’t want to do that anymore either. I just don’t want anything to do with him. Done with his shit” you sighed

Taehyung looked at you shocked. “Really?”

You nodded. 

“Not so fast y/n” you heard Yoongi’s voice behind you. Both you and Tae turned back and found Yoongi approaching you. How the heck did he hear all that from 2 meters away?

“ I still need that interview” he tapped the table as he sat down. You deadpanned at him.

“I am not going to fucking do it. Not anymore. I might have before. But seriously Yoongi not anymore”

“Y/n…” he warned.

“What? You’re going to kick me out? Is that it? Do it Yoongi. I don’t give a shit anymore. I honestly have nothing to lose” without waiting for his response you angrily walked away.

The two boys stared at each other. Taehyung shrugged in response.

“Convince her man. Please” Yoongi pursed his lips

“You do it. She’ll kill me if I tried. Besides she’ll know you put me up to it. But anyway, why can’t someone else do it?”

“I have my reasons”

“Don’t play matchmaker. At least not with these two. Its pointless. I have given up”

“ I am not playing anything. Thats not even the point. But I need his interview. I am not going to do it. No one else wants to do it. You know how scary Jimin can be”

“Yea tell me about it” Tae raised his eyebrows and pursed his lips much like Yoongi had moments ago.

You felt Taehyung glancing at you and you could tell he was trying to say something. You could take a guess but you didn’t want to.

“If you are going to try and convince me about the interview. Dont” he closed his mouth after being cut off.

“Fine. But talk to me about it. What’s going on” he looked at you sympathetically.

“I don’t know where to begin”

“Begin with how you feel” 

After a very long pause of trying to get your thoughts together, you spoke.

“I’ve always hated Jimin for the kind of person he’s been. Nothing new there. I mean we technically put it out in the open and had a discussion about it. After which my opinion of him sort of changed. It wasn’t enough to turn my dislike for him away, but it was enough for me to try and see him in a different light at the very least. I thought he could be different you know? I thought I wouldn’t have to spend so much time hating him anymore. I thought maybe the man I was silently rooting for was capable of being good. I just feel let down you know? I built all this hope for him in those few moments, but it all came crashing down”

Taehyung brought your hands into his, gently squeezing. “ oh y/n..” he brought you into his side, letting you rest your head on his chest.

“I feel stupid because I let myself think differently about him. I feel idiotic for letting myself feel guilty over being so hot headed. I feel like I have been fooled Tae. He turned me into a fool in just a moment and he’s probably sitting laughing about how gullible I am…” you continued.

Taehyung’s hold around your shoulders tightened and pushed you in further to his side.

“Maybe things can still change you know?” he tried to cheer you up.

“I dont care anymore. I am never going to trust him again. I am never going to fall for his words again” you lifted your head off his chest and smiled at him gratefully. Silence ensued for a few moments.

“Okay this is getting too sad. I don’t do sad” he tickled your sides after a while of being silent. Yelping in surprise you fell off the couch. The two of you stared at each other before bursting out in laughter.

The day of the retreat had finally approached. Your reluctance to attend increased by every second but you had no choice since Yoongi was the one on whom the responsibility fell and he expected every member of the student body to attend.

“We need to set a good example” he had told you when you had blatantly refused to go. But he had provided you yet again with an ultimatum, one that you found heard to refuse. Either do the interview with Jimin or go on the retreat. From there on the choice was easy. If you participated in the retreat you would be exempt from doing the interview, and if you refused you would have to interview Jimin.

So unwillingly yet again, you agreed. You couldn’t grasp why Yoongi was so hell bent on a stupid interview. But knowing him, it probably had to do with the responsibility he was entrusted with as the president of the student union. He was always one to take his responsibilities seriously. Too seriously in fact.

You stopped in the midst of trying to carry your bag to the bus, putting it down heavily and hyperventilating. It was one heavy suitcase, either that or you were just weak. You almost stumbled to the ground face first as someone bumped past your shoulder. It was the same girl who had threatened you once before. Her skirt had gotten visibly smaller and you couldn’t help but cringe at the length of her heeled boots.

“Bitch” she mumbled as she walked by. “Bimbo” you smirked in reply, giving her the middle finger.

Just then Jimin walked past you causing every trace of the smile to wipe off your face. You rolled your eyes and looked the other way. You couldn’t stand to look at him, not anymore. Not especially when looking at him brought back feelings of your own idiocy, and gullibility. Picking up the suitcase once more you waddled towards the bus, in the process falling twice.

“Here” you heard a voice strain next to you and hands enclose around the handle. Removing your hands you looked up to find Hoseok smiling down at you. Jung Hoseok the guy you had been crushing on since forever was helping you out. Instantly your heart began to pick up speed and your stomach started to flip on itself. 

“A pretty girl like you shouldn’t be doing this” he smiled down at you as he picked up your suitcase single handedly and placed it in the luggage compartment of the bus. He was a lean built and you didn’t think he would have much strength but you were definitely wrong. 

“Seriously? I could have done it myself” your words came out in much harsher tone that you intended. You looked away feeling slightly guilty at going off on him. 

“Its alright. Its my fault anyway. I forgot its the 21st century. We are all equals. But moments of chivalry are rare for me, so I tend to get carried away when I find pretty girls in distress” he chuckled looking at you, making a light blush appear on your cheek. Yet despite your nervous system firing off and making you feel excited you couldn’t help but feel trivialized by his comment. In your book not being able to lift a heavy suitcase didn’t classify as damsel in distress category.

 “This doesn’t exactly make me a damsel in distress , nor you the knight in a shining armour.  But still..” you were about to thank him when Jimin’s familiar voice interrupted you. Looking behind Hoseok you found him glaring at you, eyes piercing through your soul.

“I need to talk to you” he stepped past Hsoeok, ignoring him as if he didn’t exist and grabbed you by your wrist.

“ Stop. Jimin I told you-” he dragged you behind him, away from Hoseok.

“I dont give a fucking crap what you told me. We need to talk and thats it” you struggled against his tight hold.

Jimin groaned in frustration when he felt a tug behind him. He figured you must have planted your feet firm on the ground so he turned back around to scold you but stopped when saw your other arm in Hoseok’s hold.

“Where do you think you’re taking her?” Hoseok hissed and Jimin only smirked in response.

You looked at the two men wondering what the heck was going on because neither had the right to play the game of tug of war with you caught in between. Yet if their tightening grasp on your wrist was any indication, thats exactly what they were doing and you didn't like it one bit.

My Stardew Valley started flipping out cause i was playing it for 14 hours strait and it legit did some creepy pasta stuff so heres a creepy pasta

reality: somewhere around hour 10 Kent’s sprite only loaded half way (his eyes and up) or not at all. Willy was just a shadow- even when interacting with him. at one point he phased though Haley (and it was the only time his sprite was fully visible) side note: me and my sister declared willy a ghost because the fishing in my game was such lack luster. Gunther was probably the same since i never saw him at the museum but was still able to donate. lastly Alex glitched though a already glitched haley- she was on the beach even though her schedule wouldn’t have put her there. i wasn’t able to interact with her but a part of me wonders if i went to her house (where she was suppose to be) if i would see her shadow and would be able to interact with her there, but i was too far in a “yup. totaly writing a creepy pasta about this now” mood.

The Creepy pasta:

i really don’t know what to say now other than everyone was right- a game about a fun little town in a sleepy valley being secretly evil? yeah, its true. 

i was playing Stardew Valley one day with my sister- i had woken up in a sour mood and i wanted to cheer myself up. at one point she came by and hung out with me, watching me play on my farm and the normal day to day antics with the pelican town NPCs. we were laying on my bed since it was the only place comfortable enough to play on the laptop for hours on end.

i lost track of time. everything felt too real, like i was getting lost in the game. this is normal, but i knew there was something wrong when it took my sister kicking me in the head snap me out of it.

“oh my god i’m so sorry! i meant to nudge you!” she declared and it was fine, really, but when i glanced back at the screen Harvey was talking to me. i don’t even remember interacting with him- must have clicked him when i get hit in the head. it seemed normal enough; he was mentioning he was having trouble making ends meet so he’ll have to get patients from somewhere else. 

i went back to playing as we chatted about nothing when something struck me.

“hey...” i asked my sister as i paused the game. “Doesn’t harvey normally say he’ll find patients from the nearby towns?” she blinked a few times at me then silently checked the wiki.

there wasn’t an answer there, so we shrugged it off. wouldn’t be the first time NPCs change their dialog. Sebastian mentions that me and sam are his only friends after so many hearts.

speaking of which, i wanted to give him a present today. i had forgotten the quarts at the farm so i rounded back, heading past Sam’s house. i got lost in the game again- it was like the only thing i could hear was the game, the only thing i could feel was the cobble stone under my feet but that wasn’t right- i was in bed.

when i walked by Sam’s house Kent walked out. i smiled and talked to him only... His sprite wasn’t there in the dialog box. his text was also jumbled and didn’t make sense. the prompt to continue the conversation came up and when i clicked it the text was less garbled but Kent’s image was just his eyes. he said “I’ll watch out for you”. 

i snapped out of it at that. i looked over at my sister to ask her if that was normal (it wasn’t) but she seemed so transfixed on the screen it was my turn to snap her out of it. i smacked her on the head and she flinched but seemed alright.

“sorry, i meant to nudge you.” i joked, but she didn’t seem to hear me. “I thought Kent came back from war?” she questioned and i tilted my head. “Umm. yeah he does, in year two...” i turned back to the screen and Kent was gone.

“You were just talking to Sam- he said his dad died?” 

we both stared at each other before taking out our phones to chick the wiki. sure enough it says Kent returns in year two- alive.

we decide my games glitched and i keep playing while my sister makes a bug report. it took me far too long to realize dialog nor included in the game showing up out of no where- and for only ONE person for that matter- was anything BUT a bug. by the time i got to the farm and had gotten the quarts for Sebastian the report had been sent and my thoughts died in my throat. 

a few in game days later i realize Harvey has been acting weird; hes been following Haley around. i don’t pay much attention to the doctor (Sam, Sebastian, and Shane being my favorites i tended to look out for them, not so much HAley or Harvey) but i didn’t think they shared a pattern at all.

i brushed it off and decided to head down to the beach. Alex’s cut scene triggered so i say back and watched. it seemed normal until his sprite changed to the surprised looking one.

“Did you hear a scream just now?”

>no? what scream? >.... >yeah! it sounded like Haley!

my sister swore and looked up the wiki again. con confirm: not part of the cut scene. i thought for a moment and decided that no, i didn’t hear anything (but i really hadn’t). Alex seemed worried and went to investigate. the scene ended but Ale wasn’t on the beach anymore. i was really starting to freak out and debated turning off the game. before i could exit to the desktop i got lost in the game again- the fishing mini game is the devil but i mastered it none the less. i didn’t even remember casting my rod. 

it was getting late so i headed home. Harvey was standing on the bridge to the beach. i didn’t talk to him since it was mid night. i needed to get home.

when i woke up it all seemed normal. i decided to take the fish i got last night and sell them to willy. i wasnt sure how to get the fishing scene in the valley more lively like he’ll some times says so i figured if i sold the fish directly to him it would help. when i went down to the beach i saw haley but she wouldn’t talk to me. she stared out at the ocean, her dialog box just dots. her expression sad.

when i went to see willy he wasn’t there. at first i thought i was at the dock at the wrong time, but something cold pressed against my arm and i snapped up out of the game and looked at my sister- she was holding the Gatorade she had gotten earlier to my arm.

“you were ignoring me again. Sib i think somethings seriously wrong with your game”.

i agreed but i couldn’t stop playing. i explained this and she got worried, fiddling with her phone again.

i can’t stop playing. i have to keep playing. 

“hey” she got my attention. “theres this stardew turmblr account -joja apologist. they have a farmer whos a demon.”

“cool.” i kept playing. i should give Sam a present. “No listen they’re making posts about their stardew game acting weird.”

i tried to turn to face her but thats all i did- face her. my eyes were locked on the screen as Kent walked by. i went to talk to him again and the same thing happened- jumbled words and no sprite and then just his eyes and the declaration that he’ll watch out for me.

“They did Harvey started attacking people so they would HAVE to go to him for meds and stuff.” she sounded worried so i hummed in reply.

Half out of his mind with the fever, though, he’d lost his grip on reality altogether so had no basis of comparison, no way of eliminating the hallucinations as such.

or put this way: I believe that there is still some tiny little tea light of a remnant of the man the Joker once was. it’s usually kept smothered beneath all the filth he’s piled on top because he doesn’t care to re-engage with it, like, at all. Even under the influence of fear gas, anti-psychotics, or other drugs, he’s proved strong enough to continue to perform that Joker persona no matter what, and typically is. The fever just put one too many cracks in a usually ironclad facade and allowed a little more humanity than is usually present in him to leak out, but it’s certainly not standard.

The Armagnac Thats Sneaking Into Bourbon Porn

It was early 2018 when the orange-waxed necks, with wooden placards on twine hanging from them, first started appearing on social media. If you spend any time trolling bourbon geek accounts on Instagram, or private groups on Facebook, you’ll recognize the repetitive set of images continually populating your feed: Pappy and the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, of course; Weller, Willett, and Blanton’s, too, and maybe even dusty vintages of Wild Turkey.

Over the last couple years, however, distinct orange-waxed bottles of L’Encantada Armagnac — yes, Armagnac — have begun edging their way into these #bourbonporn posts. How did they get here?

“This stuff tastes more bourbony than other brandies,” explains Steve Ury, who runs the Serious Brandy group on Facebook. “But, of course, once it became popular it sort of developed its own hype.”

Neither Armagnac nor the more prevalent Cognac have ever really been able to capture the modern bourbon drinker’s imagination. Many enthusiasts find them a bit bland, or overly “grape-y.” That’s because both are, of course, grape-based brandies from their eponymous regions in France.

Armagnac has been produced in Gascony, in southwest France, since at least the 13th century. Notably, compared to Cognac, it’s an “earthier”-tasting spirit, as its producers are often much smaller, less technology-advanced grape growers and winemakers who distill their excess fruit via a traveling alembic still that bounces from farm to farm.

That’s especially true in the case of L’Encantada — “The Enchanted One” — which isn’t an Armagnac producer per se, but instead a label that bottles Armagnac from around a half-dozen very tiny estates. At first, it hardly even planned to be a legit business — in 2012, Vincent Cornu, a local caterer and Armagnac nut, was approached by a widow who wondered if he wanted to buy her late husband’s casks.

He did, and Cornu, his wife Christelle, and friend Frédéric Chappe thus formed the “L’Encantada Social Club,” as they jokingly dubbed themselves. They soon started knocking on farmhouse doors throughout the region looking for more Armagnac casks to buy. Many of these “estates,” like The Bidets, a family-owned property that grows grapes and grain while also breeding animals, are run by humble farmers who might distill only a few barrels of Armagnac per year, aging it in their barns, basements, or garages. For many of them, the casks act as a bit of a “retirement fund,” but they were certainly never meant to become an international sensation.

“But as bourbon became more and more difficult to buy — most of us are ‘old hat’ bourbon guys with huge collections from back when it was readily available — we started exploring other spirits,” says Paul Schurman, a Canadian spirits collector living in Switzerland.

When he says “us,” he’s referring to the private, online whiskey group known as 1789b of which he is a longtime member. In 2015, Ury, a fellow member, turned Schurman onto more whiskey-like Armagnac and he began seeking them out. Schurman ordered a couple of bottles of L’Encantada Domaine Lous Pibous 1994 online from Paris’s acclaimed Maison du Whisky, and immediately realized he’d found a big winner.

When he sent one to Ury, he was likewise blown away. A lawyer by day, then living in the Los Angeles area, Ury might have been the first American to really fall for L’Encantada, writing about it on his blog in the summer of 2016. He particularly loved its unique flavor profile, which he knew was atypical for Armagnac.

“Most Armagnac is aged in used oak and then re-racked and such during aging,” Ury explains. “The Pibous is aged in new oak and then they just let it sit. The result is an oaky, high-proof Armagnac that tastes a lot like… bourbon, really good bourbon.”

Both he and Schurman couldn’t help but compare it to the 17- and 18-year-old Bernheim “wheaters” that Willett had released in the mid-2000s, “the kind you don’t get any more,” Ury wrote on his blog at the time. If those Willett bourbons were now selling on the secondary market for thousands of dollars, here was an unexpected replacement, for a mere €90 a bottle.

“After tasting this, I had one thought,” Ury wrote of the Lous Pibous 1994. “We have to get more.”

Unfortunately, L’Encantada wasn’t distributed to the U.S. So, Schurman and Ury decided to try to import a few L’Encantada casks themselves, partnering with two other whiskey enthusiasts, Daniel Walbrun and Steve Neese, and dubbing themselves “The Brandy Brothers.” It wouldn’t be easy at first; Cornu spoke spotty English, and had never actually sold an entire cask. In fact, he’d never been able to penetrate the American market whatsoever. His problem was, he was trying to sell atypical Armagnac to typical brandy drinkers — not bourbon geeks.

“It was so off-profile to what Armagnac people liked,” explains Schurman. “But anyone who liked a George T. Stagg or a Weller [bourbon] would love it. Sometimes, they wouldn’t even know it was an Armagnac.”

Still, Schurman knew that even if he was keen on this spirit, it was still quite a financial risk to buy three entire Lous Pibous barrels — a 1993 vintage (Cask 124) and two 1996s (Casks 187 and Cask 188) — or around 1,000 bottles-worth.

He shouldn’t have been concerned. Fellow 1789b group members would snap up almost all of the bottles before they ever hit store shelves at K&L Wines, the local California retailer they had to use to get L’Encantada imported into the States. Word of L’Encantada quickly spread within the insular bourbon community.

“We knew these were special, but they were still Armagnac, a spirit which I love but which has limited appeal in the U.S.,” wrote Ury.

Ury never expected “the enchanted one” to blow up the way it has, but maybe he should have. L’Encantada bottlings check all the boxes for the American bourbon geek: single casks, barrel-strength, unfiltered and unadulterated; and lavishly packaged with wax-dipped necks, wooden hang tags (listing vintage year), and the requisite, dignified boxes. They are also exceedingly rare, with around 300 bottles per release; and, as for now, they are relatively cheap, especially compared to still-booming bourbon. (Ury doesn’t quite agree with my assessment, saying, “Maybe, but other brandies have those things.”)

L’Encantada bottlings quickly became a cult phenomenon among the bourbon community. A feeding frenzy followed. As demand begat supply, more releases entered the market. The Brandy Brothers brought in three more casks, K&L purchased two more for the store, and other retailers across the country began grabbing any barrels they could. Notably, Astor Wines & Spirits in Manhattan, and the esteemed Lincoln Road Package store in Hattiesburg, Miss., long famous for astute single barrel offerings, were among those to snatch up barrels.

“We weren’t selling much Armagnac at all — one or two in the store. But those were usually 80 proof and mellow,” says Jamie Farris, the owner of the Lincoln Road, whose first two L’Encantada casks were a Domaine Le Frêche and a Lous Pibous. He’s since acquired three more. “[The L’Encantada] are bigger, bolder brandies than you’re used to.”

As early as the summer of 2018, the Manhattan Wine Company’s newsletter, in lauding L’Encantada, purported that Your New Favorite Brown Spirit is Not from Kentucky. Around the same time, the acclaimed PM Spirits teamed up with L’Encantada to release XO, a blend of four L’Encantada casks (two Lous Pibous, as well as Del Cassou and Bellair estate), and up to that point, their most widely accessible release. In announcing the release, PM Spirits founder Nicolas Palazzi explained:

“L’Encantada is the darling of bourbon whiskey clubs, offering power, richness, and excitement for whiskey drinkers looking to explore.” While Astor Wines, in introducing the XO, cheekily noted: “Bourbon what? Pappy who?”

Nevertheless, while the online cognoscenti will surely be pissed I’ve blown up their latest love, for the most part L’Encantada still hasn’t fully made it into the mainstream of moneyed bourbon neophytes calling around to stores looking for “the Pappies.” PM released a Lot 2.0 of XO last summer, and I still see bottles of it on shelves. Likewise, single cask bottlings of L’Encantada can still be found in certain stores as well, though the prices have steadily been creeping up, with most selling for around $200 to $250 these days, double or triple what they were just a few years ago.

But, of course, those prices still aren’t at bourbon levels where new bottles of Pappy Van Winkle 23 Year Old hit the market at an asking price of around $2,000. Nonetheless, if most bourbon drinkers had never even tasted an Armagnac a year ago, now a good number are obsessed with at least one brand of it. A year or two from now, we all might be kicking ourselves for not capitalizing on it.

“The bourbon guys wanted something different,” Farris says. “And it filled that void. Something different, but a better value. You can’t find a 23-year-old bourbon for 200 bucks these days.”
