Goodbye? I don't think so. I hope not. A very, very long rant about storage (🙄), simblr and whatever the fuck else I go on about for a few paragraphs. Skip to the end at the gold text for a more.... "definitive" answer. Especially if you want to skip the nitty gritty and sappy wappy.

i dont know what to do anymore, I freed up 18 GBs of space it all managed to go down the drain in literally an hour, Im moving my blender things to my external HDD, because that alone is 20 GBs (because of Scene sizes), I just hate to free up the space because I dont want it to go right back down. This all sucks cuz I really really enjoy being on Simblr, but sims 4 just continues to be a nuisance, whether its actual problems or its storage problems, it just always finds a way, every year, to get me to suddenly decide that im retiring until my next bout of Sims 4 hyperfixation. I love all of you guys and I love seeing how you all enjoy my work, and what I do, and I love seeing your stuff, you all make such amazing creations, granted if I stopped playing TS4, it wouldnt mean I have to stop interacting on simblr, it just wouldnt be the same. A pattern I notice anytime I start a social media platform, is that something always finds its way into completely demotivating me from posting, whether it's just literal lack of motivation, depression, realizing a project is too vast for me, storage problems, it's always something and it's always when I finally get comfortable or happy on a platform, especially after making friends, not that im saying my friends are one of the reasons I leave, thats far from it. I REALLY dont wanna take a break from Sims 4, I really really genuinely wanna start posting my story (W.A.S), but I'm not like a Sims 4 youtuber, I can't remain dedicated to one game, I play other games, I wanna play the Witcher games (or at least try to play them, I kinda suck rn), I wanna finish Detroit become human, I want to 100% Beyond two souls (and DBH), I wanna finish Disco elysium (started and never fucking finished 💀), I want to play Baldur's Gate 3, I mean, I purchased it at full price and I can't even play the game??... 😮‍💨 You get the point. At this point I wouldn't consider this a "goodbye," note, not... necessarily? I just get so frustrated having no storage, not to mention the fact that I need storage to literally do the stuff I do, like make edits, make poses, make renders, so the fact that I can't even do that, is just like... what's the point of even having Sims 4 anymore at that point? But I don't wanna leave simblr, I don't want to stop creating. It's funny, as I write this, I continue to give myself more and more of a reason to leave, the only real thing that's stopping me is just the fact that there's so many nice people here, I know that if I stopped playing the sims 4, I'd probably move onto another game (BG3................,,,,,..) and leave tumblr, or, at least leave Simblr. Which as I (think) said before, that's sad, I'd be sad, I'd miss people like Lori (groovetrys) and Lauren (miralure), June (circusjuney), Jade (gamyrmaiden), Anna (holocene-sims), butter (buttertrait), Fae (acuar-io), Verco (vercosims) and god, so many others, and sorry to break the atmosphere suddenly, but as I'm writing this, I'm listening to "In another life," from Everything everywhere all at once and it's making this very emotional for me, so if it gets sappy I apologize.

And I guess to be... insanely honest, as much as I want to release my story (trust me, I REALLY want to), I'm slowly beginning to realize more and more how not-easy it's gonna be to make scenes, writing it is fine for me, its just setting up the scenes feels like i'm forbidden to a life of staring at a bunch of words (pose names) trying to figure out what's what, where is what, what to do, where is where, who is who, who is what, how is what, how and why, need I continue. Storytelling is so insanely important to me, I believe that despite how little I read and despite how terrible of a student I have been, and despite how poor my literature skills are, that storytelling is still so important, fuck it, poetry has been such an inspiration for me, but I don't fucking know how to write poetry?? I can barely understand poetry at times, but it's still all so beautiful to me, the concept and the fact that people use metaphors so meticulously to create an allegory for something beautiful, or traumatic or sad, like in not so berry, the concept of an ocean being alexanders "love," and cataleya drowning in it, and her realizing she's drowning in his "love," but when she wants to leave, she really wonders if she actually wants to leave, to conceptualize and create this awful relationship in the means of an ocean is so... well, not beautiful in a reality sense, but in a technical/literary sense, it's beautiful, it's expression, and THATS what im passionate about. Remember what I said about getting sappy? Yea, sorry about that. After a while, I wonder what good repeating myself does, I've said about 5 or 6 times that I don't want to leave, yet here I am, with the mouse over the uninstall button like an idiot about to press the big "DON'T TOUCH" button, perhaps it's the idea that after repeating myself over and over again, that maybe I'll make up my mind, do I do a coin flip? I never listen anyways, I always continue to flip until it lands on what I like. So... why am I still writing? To be honest, I should've stopped by now, but you can only stop a dam so much before it all comes out. I do this with my friends, when I'm sad, I pour my heart out until it's a repetitive and overcooked version of "I'm sad." I write paragraph after paragraph and I literally could've just said "I don't have storage. Considering leaving simblr," and the same message would've gotten across, and I apologize, if you're still reading this, for making such a lengthy post, but I couldn't quite help spilling a bit of water everywhere, although I guess now my little puddle of water has become a flood. I use metaphors a lot, I apologize... again.

So what does all this bullshit that I typed out mean?

I don't know. I wonder the same myself, I'm fighting a battle more fierce than the one I had with my period last week, "Do I uninstall Sims 4 so I can have more freedom, and enjoy more content? or do I continue this rigorous battle of needing storage for the sake of a tumblr page, my enjoyment for writing and other shit I do in the sims 4?" I cannot say I will take a hiatus, because I will procrastinate, and I will forget completely about posting, and tumblr in general. I do still, at the very least, want to release my Official Teaser for my story, whether it be my last post or not, and at the very least, I want to introduce you to the characters, whether it be my last post(s) or not. Not to mention the fact that I want to continue sharing about Roo even if it's not about sims 4 anymore, I mean hell, I haven't even finished off the Leo and Roo part of his timeline.

For an INCREDIBLY watered down answer on whether or not this is goodbye, I say to you, not in this moment, not definitive enough for you yeah? Well, that's the thing, I don't have a definitive answer, you could fucking tear apart this entire college essay mat-pat style, and still not have a definitive fucking answer, and that's because I don't, sorry to all the people who don't want to listen to me rant or who want a clear answer, but I just don't have one. I've been known to make impulsive and on the whim (when I'm really emotional) decisions, and this is a situation where I don't want to do that, because I care about what I have here with ya'll.

If this ends up being one of my last posts, I bid you all adieu, I love you all, and I thank you so so so much for the laughs, and for the mutual connection we may or may not have had, I do not know if I'll make any actual posts for the next few days as I consider my decision, I will float around of course and continue reblogging this and that, and commenting and liking, etc etc. There's also a chance I may wake up tomorrow and look at this and think I was just being overly emotional about this stuff, and that now I look like an idiot, which is the case 9 times out of 10.

fight, fight, fight , zack macewen

note, this was inspired after reading some post about how syd was nervous after watching marty fight chara. i get inspo from the weirdest things, but i had to look up who fought him in the past and i went with zack so yay! this is dedicated to @iwantahockeyhimbo cause we are both zack lovers. pair, zack macewen x reader summary, zack macewen, 6'3, gets into a fight with 6'9 giant, zdeno chara. warnings, fighting, word count, 744 words (something short and funny)

You were having quite a good time, but that all quickly came tumbling down after Zack went after Mayfield. Going after Mayfield wasn't the problem, but the aftermath of the hit was the problem.

To be fair, he didn't start the fight, Chara did, but that didn't ease anything, "Holy crap." You watched in horror as everyone around you rose to their feet and cheered.

Someone put a comforting hand on your back, but it did nothing to soothe the panic you were feeling, "You idiot." You muttered, getting a couple laughs from the girls.

They punched at each other, and Zack managed to get a few good hits in before his helmet was thrown off. A couple more punches were thrown by Chara and Zack was on his knees, jersey was on the verge of coming off, and that's when the refs stepped in.

You sat down in your chair, mouth hanging open in shock as he was pushed off to the penalty box, but not before Chara made sure he was okay.

"You okay?" One of the girls asked with a laugh.

"He's the biggest idiot I've ever met in my life." 11 minutes later after the period was over and you knew Zack was in the locker room, you grabbed your phone and immediately called Zack.

"Hello?"

"You're the biggest idiot in the entire world." He laughed, "I don't know why you're laughing."

"It's funny, come on. I'm fine, he's fine, Mayfield's fine, we're all good." He tried to reassure.

"I'm hanging up now 'cause I'm mad at you."

"Well, you are the one who called."

"I hate you." You stated, then hung up.

"So, Zack, what was the consensus on the fight?" One of the interviewers asked.

Zack laughed, "Well, after the game, my girlfriend called."

"Oh, yeah?"

"Yeah, she's here, so she saw everything in person, but she called me after the game and kinda chewed me out."

"I take it she's not keen on you fighting?"

"Oh, no, quite the opposite. She's the first person to cheer me on, but I think the part that really got her was the 6'9 part of it all." He joked, "I'll be in the doghouse for a bit, but it's all in good fun."

After media, he packed up all his stuff and got ready to head out. He saw you waiting by his car in the parking lot. You looked up at him from your phone and glared at him.

"Oh, come on." He laughed.

"Stop laughing. Nothing about this is funny." You punched his shoulder.

"What was the consensus after the fight?"

"I got a lot of DMs from fans, and Zack got a lot from fans. Sydney Martin, Matt Martin's wife, another hockey player, tweeted about it. I woke up the next morning and was tagged in so many posts and my friends and family was just sending me memes. It was pretty great."

"I watched his post-game interview where he said you actually root for him when he fights."

"I usually do, because hockey is a sport where fighting is encouraged. And I'm obviously very nervous when he does fight, but I do root for him. This time was a little different because he was fighting a literal giant."

"Any injuries?"

"Got a bit of bruise forming." You laughed, "Nothing too serious. I made him see a doctor the day after."

My basic rules are as follows -Don't care what year it came out, I just have to complete it for it to count -Replayed stuff can count, but only if it's been so long I barely remember my time with it -For the top 15 specifically, want to try and keep it to 1 per series unless I got a good reason to break this rule.

My Media Thread

Ok so before i get started i just want to say that i'm gonna be doing recommendations vs giving things an x/10 score like on my twitter media thread since the scores i gave were honestly arbitrary and a recommendation would give a much more clear view on how i feel about a game. Down below are the categories this thread will be using Don't recommend/Don't play it (Whichever one my brain remembers in this category at the time of writing) - I personally think no one should be subjected to playing this game and i would highly recommend not engaging with it at all costs like not even as a joke

Play at your own risk - I personally wouldn't seriously recommend this game to someone but if you want to give it a try go for it it could be really funny who knows

Maybe - This one will mainly be used for if i recommend the game but i think it's definitely not for everyone whether it be for difficulty or for potentially triggers in the game or even just some really weird shit

Recommend - I recommend this game wholeheartedly and would gladly suggest it to pretty much anyone

MUST PLAY - PLAY THIS GAME IMMEDAITELY RIGHT NOW

So i guess without further ado i'll be starting my media thread here with danganronpa trigger happy havoc, So the first danganronpa game sure is an experience that's for sure and my opinion on the series has changed a LOT since i first played through the series and wrote my original media thread posts so i guess i'll just say this now. I don't like danganronpa as much as i did back then since my recency bias for the series went away ages ago and i've had plenty of time to look over the series retrospectively but the first game still has some pretty fun stuff. The whole mystery of why they're all in hope's peak i'd still say is pretty cool and hope's peak itself is a fantastic killing game setting and gives off a perfect atmosphere for the whole thing. The characters in one are kind of a mixed bag, on one hand you have characters who i think are genuinely pretty solid like sakura (She's probably my favorite character from 1 it's either her chihiro or mondo and maybe hina) and on the other you have whatever the fuck toko (in this game at least UDG helps her out a fair amount) and hifumi are where they honestly really suck just kind of being really annoying/weird most of the time. The chapters in this game are also mostly ok aside from like chapter 3 which is probably the game's lowest point trialwise and chapter 2 for how it handles chihiro (I refuse to get into any chihiro related drama so i won't go really in depth on that here) and just that really chapter 2 is mostly ok otherwise. Chapter 4 was especially nice and is my personal pick for my favorite chapter in the game and chapter 1 while it starts out slow imo has one of the absolute best executions in the trilogy. Thankfully this game also sticks the landing fairly well with its ending and it didn't completely fall flat on its face and seriously fuck up the rest of the game by ending on a sour note (Don't worry danganronpa 2 you're next) Personally i'd give danganronpa trigger happy havoc a...

Maybe - While danganronpa's concept of the killing game is something i unironically think is one of my favorite mechanisms for telling a story with how much cool character shit it can cause the execution the games do with the concept can be uh, less than stellar at times. Also aside from the obvious (violence, blood, and a whole lot of murder) stuff that would lead to me seriously consider giving a game a maybe. The game (and the series in general tbh) has some really weird shit in them like both toko and hifumi are really big offenders in this game and i don't even want to get into the chihiro discourse not to mention the gross shower peeping bonus scene in chapter 3 although that one is completely missable (thankfully) if you didn't get a certain item from the monokuma machine but still regardless all of that is enough for me to give this game a maybe, if you think you can handle the blood, gore, everything else and more in danganronpa i'd honestly say it would be worth picking up and trying the series out.

“I swear, if I get asked one more time if I'm a snob, I'm going to take a vow of silence." Sydney said on the phone to her mum. They were in Spain, but her parents usually only came to the French GP because they had to work. They weren’t exactly middle class, she was a woman in F1 after all, that doesn’t come cheap, but they hadn’t reached the level of wealth where you can stop working in a regular 9 to 5 format.

“No, mum, it's not every question, but it's at least 1 out of 10, and the way they ask it is so irritating.”

“I know, I know - no, mum, I promise.”

“Yeah, mum, yeah, okay, see you.” Sydney hung up the phone and felt eyes on her, but when she turned around all she saw was the orange and white of the McLaren team in the paddock. She must’ve been paranoid. While the response online had essentially calmed to nothing, it was as if the apathy of the fans sparked some kind of craze in the media, and now she was getting asked several times a day if she hated speaking English or if she would prefer to only do French interviews and everything else ridiculous in that vein. She could smile and laugh it off, and everyone was treating it as a funny little joke, but it was still getting under her skin. She was overly conscious of speaking to her parents on the phone, and if she hadn’t been super social before she was essentially a mute now. It was enough that she had to speak English all day every day for her job, but to feel bad when she let herself speak French around Pierre was another level of exhaustion that could only be felt by having to semi-translate every single thing you say.

“Sydney, oh, good, I was just about to call you in, we’re gonna film a little video for the youtube channel.” Daisy said, poking her head through the doorway. Sydney smiled; as cheesy as they were, she did love a good youtube challenge. It fulfilled her ten year old self’s dreams of becoming a vlogger.

“What are we doing today?”

“Playing guess who.” Daisy said, smiling. She knew that Sydney much preferred games to interview type videos.

“Pierre, you ready to lose?" Sydney said as she walked over to some chairs next to a big window with a table, the guess who already set up in the middle.

“You really don't listen, huh? No. French.” He said, grinning. Sydney rolled her eyes but did make a mental note to try not to slip into it.

“I think that I will manage.” She said. Daisy came over to fix them up a little bit, and Sydney giggled at Pierre as he got his fringe fluffed around and wore a zoned out expression. He just smiled at her after Daisy left to behind the camera, and they shuffled around in their seats to get comfortable before the camera switched on.

“So, the rules are that you’ll pick a card, and then you each have to ask yes or no questions to guess who the other person has on their card. There’s a mix of formula 1 and general celebrities that you could get.” Daisy explained, more for the structure of the video than for their knowledge.

“Okay, ladies first.” Pierre said, and Sydney picked up her card. It was Lando Norris, and she felt the cameras pan in on the card behind her. Pierre picked up his card and smiled. Sydney was about to speak, and had to stop herself from starting in French.

“What are you making that face for, huh?” She said, and he just grinned wider.

“That isn’t a yes or no question.” He laughed.

“Okay, Syd you start.” Daisy said, trying to stop them from just chatting normally.

“Okay, Pierre.” She said faux seriously.

“Yes.” He replied in the same manner.

“Are they male?”

“Yes.” He answered, and she flipped down about a third of the tiles. Not bad for a first go.

“Sydney.”

“Ou-es.” He gave her a knowing smile at her near slip up, and she widened her eyes in warning.

“Is your person...female?” She threw her arms up lightly and rolled her eyes.

“That is cheating, you stole my question.”

“Yes or no only, remember.” He grinned.

“Okay, fine. No.” Pierre flipped down the exact same tiles and looked up expectantly through his blonde fringe. Luckily Daisy hadn’t made them wear caps for this.

“Is your person,” She scanned the possible options, “a pilot?”

“Pilot?” He said, grinning.

“Driver, driver, I mean driver.” She said, laughing but still a little bit embarrassed.

“No.” She flipped down another chunk of tiles.

“You cannot steal that question, otherwise you will make this too boring.” She said pointing a finger in warning, and he held up his hands in surrender.

“Okay, okay, is your person, euh, young?”

“What is young? That is not a yes or no question Pierre, play the game properly.” Sydney said, still with her mock serious tone.

“Um, below 30.” He said.

“Okay, euh, no.” He flipped down lots of tiles.

“No, wait,” she interjected. “Yes, he is, he is under 30.” Pierre groaned jokingly and hung his head back, exposing his adam's apple.

“Syd, play the game properly.” They both smiled as he went through a few of his tiles. “If you win, I won’t accept it. 5 second time penalty.” She laughed.

“My question, is your person a sports person?”

“Yes.” She looked at her tiles and realised that she only had sports players left anyway.

“Okay, well, I did not think about that question and I only have sports players so there is your penalty.”

“I’m going to ask a controversial question.” Pierre said.

“It has to be yes or no though.”

“Yes, yes I know. Is your person, euh, attractive?” Sydney laughed and looked at Pierre questioningly.

“Like, to everyone or to me especially?” He smiled even wider.

“Whichever one. But you can’t try and trick me.”

“Okay, okay, um,” she observed the photo of Lando. He wasn’t bad looking. “Yes, yes he is attractive.” Pierre whistled and Sydney laughed again. “You asked me, I don’t want to say no and offend people.”

“But now if I put down tiles I am calling people ugly.” Pierre said incredulously.

“Well maybe if you were playing properly it would not be an issue.” Sydney had basically forgotten about the cameras, and tried to get them back on track. “My turn, is your person tall?” Pierre laughed again. “What? What’s wrong with that one?”

“Nothing, nothing, euh, I don’t know, can I google?” He looked over at Daisy and she nodded. He typed a few things into his phone and nodded. “Yes, he is tall.” Sydney flipped down a few people she didn’t think were that tall, and had 4 people left. She was definitely winning.

“Are you going to ask another, euh, controversial question?” She laughed.

“No, no, look at this, I need to catch up. Euhm.” He put his elbow on his knee and his hand on his palm. “Is your person British?”

“Yes.” She said confidently.

“Are you sure?” He joked and she pursed her lips. “Okay, okay.” He flipped a few more tiles down and they were pretty much even.

“Is your person from,” she looked over her tiles. Tom Brady, Federer, Djokovic, and Ronaldo. She decided just to take a guess. “Euh, I don’t know if it’s the same in English.” Pierre gave her a look but Daisy nodded her head. “Serbie?” Pierre sat back in his chair again.

“What, was I right?” She grinned, and he nodded his head. “Is it Djokovic?” He nodded again.

“I cannot believe this, you definitely cheated.”

“I am just a natural. Anyway, I am learning, what is Serbie in English?” Pierre laughed as he flipped all his tiles up again.

“Serbia, it is almost exactly the same.”

“Oh.” She laughed, but felt embarrassed again. They played a few more games before Daisy was satisfied with the footage and let them relax for a few minutes before their track walks.

“I forgot to ask,” Pierre started, running a hand through his hair. "Who was the attractive person?" Sydney blushed.

“Lando.”

“Ooooh.” Pierre started.

“I couldn't say that he's ugly, I had no other choice.” Sydney replied, getting defensive.

“Okay, okay, whatever.” He said with his hands up.

"Why did you ask me anyway?”

“Eh, it's funny, no?” Sydney hit him on the arm as their respective race engineers called them away to do their walks.

“Bye.” He sang as he departed first. Sydney looked over to see Daisy smiling at her before quickly snapping down to her phone.

“What? Why are you looking like that?” Sydney interrogated.

“No reason, anyway, you’re being beckoned.” Daisy said, gesturing to her race engineer, still trying to suppress a smile.

“What’s up?” He asked.

“Not much, I absolutely destroyed Pierre at that game though.” Sydney replied, knowing Pierre was still in earshot. He turned around to glare at her, but didn’t make any reply.

“Naturally.” Her engineer laughed, and they made their way onto the track. The hour or so allowed her to get fully into her favourite mode, where all she could think about was racing. It was abruptly punctured when she reentered the paddock and was steered away by Daisy. Apparently they were already running late for more press. She spotted Pierre already sitting on a stool, chatting to the Ziggo interviewer. She sped walked over and sat down, flashing them both her media smile and shaking hands with the interviewer.

“Hello Pierre, Sydney, it is wonderful to be here today speaking with you. You two have developed quite the friendship, but am I right in thinking that you didn’t really get along before this year?” The pair laughed, and Sydney looked at Pierre to answer.

“No, I wouldn’t say that. We were never really in karting at the same time, and I just don’t think we really spoke properly before Sydney entered the team, but we are definitely good friends now.”

“And Sydney, is it helpful to get along with your teammate so well in your first year in F1?” Her smile was still on her face, good.

“Yeah, I really got lucky to have Pierre as a teammate, I was a little bit stressed out that we wouldn’t get along but from the first day we have had a lot of fun spending time together.”

“And the French thing probably helps, right?” The interviewer chuckled, and so did the pair of them, although Sydney felt her shoulders sag at the direction of the conversation.

“Yes, it’s nice to have someone to speak casually with in your first language, you don’t have to think as much, you know.” Pierre answered, delaying the inevitable.

“But Sydney, it’s become a bit of a rumour that you hate speaking English, would you say that’s why you and Pierre get along so well?” She restrained herself from rolling her eyes, and felt Daisy’s prepared answers tugging at her lips but decided to ignore them.

“I honestly do not know how that thing became, euh, something that everyone asks me about, I am not amazing at English, sure, but I don’t mind speaking it. It is just that when I cannot understand things it is a bit embarrassing for me, you know? But no, I do not mind to speak English, and obviously I feel more, euh, fluent in French but if that was all I liked about Pierre I would just hang out with Esteban or Charles.” They all laughed, and she was glad she hadn’t made things tense by being too confrontational. Surprisingly, that was their only interview for the day, and once it got wrapped up they could head back to the offices.

“I feel bad that you get all those questions about hating English. It's annoying for me and they're not even my questions.” Pierre huffed as they walked back.

“It's not that bad, I'm just tired of them, you know?” Pierre nodded and they progressed in silence.

“I don't wanna speak English with you, cos that would be so weird,” they both laughed, “but, pff, I don't know” Sydney sighed. “I dunno what to do.”

“Mm, I don't know either.” He said, shrugging, and Sydney pushed him to try and make him stop looking so serious.

“You're so helpful.” She said sarcastically.

"Anytime.” He grinned.

playing: through an elaborate game of friend barter i have acquired a switch and breath of the wild. it is fucking hysterical to me how much this is just skyrim but good and how much genshin impact is just breath of the wild but with some tits and a lot of ass. it’s also screamingly funny to me that breath of the wild has made about a billion and a half since launch and genshin made 2.1B its first year. just on mobile. so much appetite for these kinds of games (big open world rpg-lite with puzzle solving and kind of grindy mob-based combat) but they’re hysterically expensive to make.

im having a slightly frustrating time mostly bc i don’t really have the hand dexterity to do combos and i didn’t grow up with controllers. it’s easier to map things to separate keyboard keys, although mouse and keyboard is quite hard on the wrists. actually my problem is probably that it’s slightly more brainpower than i want to give to a game rn.

making: im extremely stressed due to a combination of work and life and not balancing them very well lately. so im buying a bunch of house shit bc it is college grad season so half the people in this area are going home or otherwise moving and looking to ditch their shit.

the first and most important thing is that a new evil lair has been rented. this will be the first place where i am the only one on the lease and it comes unfurnished. i will be slowly moving in, as i did last year, bc this  current above-the-second-floor apartment’s stairs are quite bad for the knees. hopefully everything i can pick up by myself will (at minimum) be in a storage unit by the time my sister comes up memorial day weekend to help me move things that don’t fit in my car. the tuesdayposts may be a little light on content for the next four to six weeks.

i am annoyed i have to pay double rent for a month and a half, and i am annoyed i spent a bunch of money in march for some shit that was Extremely specific to making this apartment nicer (like idk i’m gonna need an eight foot ladder in the new place, which was not built in the 1800s and has somewhat low ceilings and way fewer windows, also there isn’t really a good place to put my swiss dot and pom pom trim cafe curtains :(

anyway here are some objects and very few pictures of things i acquired last week from paying attention to craigslist curb alerts: huge pile of frames, a milk glass object, and this floor lamp. which i think is brass plated and desperately needs a new shade. project for future kay. maybe i’ll get really into lampshades next who knows. my new living room has no good ceiling light so between this and the big green lamp and i guess the plant lights that’ll have to do it

some objects i acquired from a moving sale but have no pics of bc they Immediately went into the storage unit: microwave, another little pyrex strage container (glass lid!), a cool vase, a brass vase holder thing, a campaign dresser/nightstand thing that is mostly made out of real wood (may hold out for a 1920s style waterfall dresser with the rounded nose, bc i fear with the brass bed AND a campaign dresser my bedroom may look a little too apartment therapy)

i feel like brass implies that at least some minimum baseline of thought and effort has been put into an object. i like how mellow and warm it looks. i think it’s an easier finish to decorate around than steel or “oiled bronze” which is usually just treated steel but we don’t have time to get into that. i also like how it leans industrial without going full steampunk. also i hate trying to clean verdigris without ruining it.

Part 17

Its morning and I have to get ready for work. After last night last person i want to see is Phil.

I crawl out of bed Jake is still passed out. I go downstairs to the kitchen and make a pot of coffee. First person to wake up is Dan to the smell then everyone else besides Jake starts to wake up.

I hear a text message come through its from Phil it reads I'm sorry for last night with Ashley. Also most of the roads to the bar are closed so don't worry about coming in today

I respond i can't accept your apology after i told you not too. Also thank you for letting me know ill make a post on our social medias

I make the announcement across all social media and put my phone down. 

"Well looks like your stuck with me unless you want to try and head home" i say to Dan, Richy, and Jessy

"I guess we can see if the roads clear up" says Dan.

"I'll start making us some breakfast" i say

"I'll take over. Go find out why Jake is still sleeping" says Jessy

I head upstairs and he's sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Everything okay?" I ask

"Just thinking about last night. You know weve been in a relationship for 6 months and still havent" he says

"I know and if Dan and Jessy didnt come out to check on us. It would of happen last night. Something about you going into protective mode with Ashley and then seeing you hitting that punching bag just wow" i say with a smile as i sit down next to him

I see him reach in his pocket of his jeans and play with something in his fingers. "Part of me wants to give you this early but part of me doesnt" he says

"I can wait but look lets go get some coffee and waffles and bacon" i say as i kiss him and go to stand up.

He grabs my right hand and slides a ring on my finger. I look down at it and i look at him

"This is gorgeous" i say

"Its a new band but the stones were on my moms ring. It's not an engagement ring but a promise ring. I promise you Krista as long as Im in your life I'll protect you and love you" 

I wrap my arms around his neck "you have no idea how much this means…. It means more then that car"

Jessy at the bottom of the stairs "you guys coming for breakfast?"

"Yeah we're coming down"

I walk down the stairs first and ashley notices the ring. "Woah!!! Dude you didnt ask if you can have her hand" 

Jake laughs "its just a promise ring don't worry you'll be asked first" he says

We sit down for breakfast and coffee and just talk and laugh.

As we're cleaning up i hear my phone goes off. Not expecting it to be important. Since Jake is closer "hey can you answer that" i ask

He picks it up but whoever is there doesnt say anything. He hands me the phone.

"Hello?" I say confused

"Krista?" A males voice says

"Who wants to know" i ask

"This is your father" he says

"Not funny whoever you are. He did 8 years ago today" i say as i hang up

"Who was that?" Ask dan

"Some dude that said he was my dad"

My phone goes off again same number

I answer it again "look i don't know what game your playing but its not funny"

"Krista this isnt a game or joke" a woman voice says that i recognize

"Mom?" I say as tears start falling

"We came by the city to find you but found you moved across the country to a small town"

I wipe the tears as everyone is watching me. I walk upstairs to my bedroom. "Yeah its complicated to tell but i have the most amazing friends and boyfriend in my life" i say

"Can we come visit?" She asks

"Tell me something about me growing up only you and dad would know please" i say

"Growing up you had it in your mind you could talk to animals even the bull, fudge, on the ranch. You were the only one he would let sit on his back and not buck you off" 

I start crying my eyes out "its really you guys. I never told that too… let alone his name. Im in Duskwood but we got hit with a bad storm right now"

Jake comes walking up seeing the tears in my eyes.

"Okay dad and I will come see you, Honey pot" she says

"Love you missed you guys" i say as we hang up.

"Was it really them?" He asks me

"Yeah they knew my nickname that was only said between the 3 of us and a story that said on the ranch and noone else knew." I say wiping away the tears

Ashley comes up "are you serious? Are they coming out?"

"They are gonna try?" I say

"Wait you knew them?" Says Jake

"Yeah she had just become my partner right before the accident and I had met them" she says sitting on the other side of me both holding me

"guys i think i need some time up here." I say as i get up and head to the small closet up here and grab a box thats up away but it starts to fall.

Jake grabs it and i fall to my knees and just cry. He puts the box down but doesn't open it and sits on the floor and pulls me into his arms.

I just start bawling my eyes. "There was a fire. I had grabbed a few things and ran. My parents were behind me" i say into Jake. Ashley goes downstairs and sit at the bottom so noone else comes up. 

"It's okay Krista. You don't have too" he says

I look up at him. "There was a beam that fell and they were trapped… or so i though" he hugs me tight. "How could they i was barely 20"

'They must have a reason but you don't have to see them if you don't want too. I know i wouldn't" he says just holding me.

I hear Ashley, Jessy, and Dan at the bottom of the stairs. 

'Just let us up there" says Jessy

"No this isn't something that can be fixed. This is lots of late night tears and heartbreaks. This is loves one just leaving and never coming back until years later. She needs to just cry it out by herself but I'm not taking Jake away from her cause this is something in all my years of knowing  her I have never seen her like this" says ashley

"You obviously don't know the full story of how we met her" says dan as he pushes past Ashley and jessy follows.

Ashley runs up behind them "krista im sorry i tried to stop them"

"Its okay" says jake as i squeeze him tight. Dan and jessy sit around me at well just rubbing my back.

"Do you wanna go through this box?" Asks Jessy as she puts it on her lap

The tears finally subside "be prepared for the waterworks again" i say

"Thats what friends are for" says dan

I look at Jessy "I'm okay with it" she says 

I look at jake and he takes my right hand and touches the ring he put there just this morning " though the good, bad, and ugly" he says.

I turn and see ashley "ill go grab the blanket and have Richy make you a tea"

I stand up for the first time im forever and grab the box. Dan instantly takes it from me and Jake throws me over his shoulder. "Really guys? I can walk downstairs. Put me down jake" i say

"Nope I'm carrying you" he says as he walks down the stairs and puts me on the couch

"You know every other guy has always put her down" says Ashley 

"Jake isn't your normal guy" says Richy as he brings me a vanilla tea

Jessy puts the box in front of me. It's nothing special just an old shoebox. I haven't opened in years.

Just as im about to open it my phone rings again and it's Phil. Jessy declines it "he can wait" she says

I peel off the top and inside is a bunch of old pictures 

"Wow there has to be a ton of pictures in here" says Dan

"100 to be exact but theres something else that should be in here" i say pulling out the photos one by one

I pull one out and lay it down. Jake picks one up and looks at me and looks at the women in this photo. "Wow you look just like her" he says

"Yeah when she was younger she had done pageants and stuff and actually won some big ones" i say as i freeze. I pull out a small bag and open it. There is 2 wedding rings inside it

"You know i never understood how they managed to savage those" says Ashley

" they were in the fireproof box. Why i have no idea but i think i want to find out" i say as i grab my phone and dial the number they called me from

My dad answers. "Dad?" I say

"I knew you'd call us back. Let me put you on speakerphone" he says

"I need to know something before you come visit me." Jake grabs the phone and puts if on speaker as well.

I freeze "its okay" he says as he hugs me

"If thats the guy you mentioned before he seems to really care about you" my mom says

"I do. I also have you on speakerphone cause i knew she would freeze up" he says

"Well thank you" my mom says

All of a sudden i blurt out "why? Why did you fake your own death? Why did you put your rings in the firepropf box? Why did it take you till now to reach out to me?"

"Hunny we need to tell her" my mom says

"I agree" says my dad

"We had gotten ourselves into so much debt with the farm we couldn't keep it up. We figure if we burn the house down they would replace the damage and we could sell. We had a bad feeling something was going to go wrong which is why we made sure you were ahead of us. At night we always put the rings in that box for safety so you would always have them. However, why it took us so long we have no idea why it took us to reach out besides trying to find you."

"Why didn't you tell me? I had just become a detective I could of helped?" i ask

"I didn't want you to have that burden" says dad

I lean into Jake and he can tell Im upset

"Krista, were sorry" says my mom

"Im gonna let you guys go. Krista isn't feeling well" says Jake

"Does she still want us to come visit?" My dad says

"I'm not sure ill have her reach put when she's feeling better" he says and hangs up

"Hey ashley i think we should go for a drive" says Dan

"But what about the roads?" Ashley says

"We'll be fine. Right Jessy and richy?" He says looking at them like they better agree

"Yeah" they both say

"Okay… jake you going to come?" She asks

"No I'm gonna stay here with Krista" he says as my head is in his lap since Dan stood up i laid down

"Okay just be gentle with her" she says knowing im not in a good place.

hello friend!! i enjoyed the game very much, it was a good win. slow start, but we got there in the end lmao. i do think the last, like, three minutes could have been better, they lost a little bit of the urgency at the tail end there, but that's ok. i wish midge purce could have played the second half though, i think she had a really strong start and she could have done more in the second. but again, we won, so w/e ig. looking forward to the game on friday !!

oooh i’ll give a little excerpt of what i’m writing rn! it’s for blue lock, which i know is not why anyone is following me, but it’s not MY fault you guys aren’t watching the fucked up and insane soccer show with me. that’s on Y’ALL.

The problem, really, lies in the way that Bachira is looking back at him. 

Bachira looks at him like—like there is something desperate in the monster of Bachira’s heart and Isagi will quell its thirst. Bachira looks at him like there is a hunger in his body and Isagi’s heart is the feast it craves. Bachira looks at him like he thinks there is a monster in his touch and, if Isagi was to take his hand, that monster could be worthy of love. Bachira looks at him like there is an ugliness to his devotion, but if Isagi was to look back, that ugliness would be art. 

🐇 Do you write for yourself, for others, or both?

depends on the fic! requests and gifts of course are for other people, but generally otherwise i’m trying to just write for me. it’s something that i have to keep reminding myself of, though, because i tend to get really caught up in what other people want from me or expect of me or whatever. but i try to just right for myself and because i want to.

🎬 If a movie or show were based on your fic, which fic would you choose and who would you fancast?

i think it would be really, really funny if someone were to turn one of my old mcu fics into a movie or show because then they would have to admit that they created real media based off of a stucky fic and i think that would be really really funny. so going with this. i think someone should make a movie out of another love letter you’ll never read, because it is so so impossible to pretend that it’s about anything other than captain america. and i think they should cast sebastian stan as the lead. 

🤔 Would you ever want to write something canon if you got the opportunity?

hm. i’ve actually never really thought about it. that’d be a looooot of pressure, huh. actually wait i change my mind. i actively want to be in charge of writing the manga to tv adaptation of ohshc, but on two conditions: (1) i get to do the whole manga, not just part of it, and (2) i get to make kyoya gay. tamaki i’m willing to negotiate about. but kyoya i get to make gay. that’s a requirement of my services.

*big cheering and screeching from the bees in the audience* Welcome welcome every! pls. pls stop ouch my ears AAAAAAAAA Okay okay welcome to my yearly award show that i started this year on tumblr! I'm keeping it short n sweet like my honey.

(that was a lie. this is a long post) Best movie of 2022! and the nominees are! -Sonic 2 -Bullet train -thor: love and thunder -knifes out: glass onion And the winner of best movie (in my opinion) of 2022 is...... Bullet train! woooooo! okay so it was really really close with the second sonic movie because as you probably know i adore sonic! but damn, bullet train really outdid itself for me. it was funny, thrilling and very well made! And for the fact ive watched it more than both sonic movies makes it my fav movie of the year! Okay so next up. game of the year! -Sonic frontiers -elden ring -Total war: warhammer 3 -Super lesbian animal RPG This was a spicy one. mostly between total war and sonic frontiers. But in the end i do have to choose sonic! I was hyped for both these games but sonic delivered while warhammer had me wait for months and im still waiting on my blood dlc (and if it has been released. oops guess i missed it) As most people prolly already said is that sonic frontiers does has its flaws but im just here looking at what I find the most enjoyable. and when it comes to gameplay and the sick ass soundtrack sonic frontiers took the lead! I do want to say as a honerable mention that SLARPG couldve beaten sonic but ive not had the time yet to finish it. but from what ive played so far its been really fun and i defo recommend it! And now on to the final category! Music! Ive listened to a looooot of music this year. and while the other sections had the rule of only having media released in 2022 for music i just do who i found the most fun to listen to this year! and my nominees are. -Red Vox -McBaise -Paradis -Pond Last year McBaise won really really hard. the song waterslide really helped me through the starting phases of taking anti depressants. This year however i think most of the time that ive listened to actual albums its mostly been from Red Vox! And thats why i say they are my pick for 2022! Recommend listening to the visions album which was released this year! its really good! And i think thats it for now! I do want to give one more award tho. If youve read till this point. first off. i use spotify the most, since i use that to listen to music. i find that it’s the easiest app to use to find the music i want to listen to! but please stream our songs on every app! next, i use kakao talk for texting, group chats, etc. since it connects to most of my korean social media, it’s always important to have. next is snow. i just like playing with the funny animal filters and stuff a lot! then, i do use tiktok sometimes when i have extra time between rehearsals or to scroll before going to bed. finally, i use coupang to order snacks and ramen to the dorm! 

what is the most random note in the notes app?

this sounds very strange, but i have the bee movie script saved to my notes app. it was a bit of a joke when i was in high school in america and a friend had air dropped me it during class. i just never ended up deleting it! so it’s been sitting there for the past four years. i really can’t believe it’s been that long. the only time i’ve actually used it is once when i was watching the actual bee movie so i could keep up even if i left the room to get a snack or use the restroom!

what was the last message or call you’ve received and who was is from?

this morning, my mom called me. she asked me a bit about my recent schedules and what i had coming up. so i told her about all the events going on, like our legacy family concerts and the kiss goodbye showcase! she hasn’t been able to attend any of the fabula events yet, so hopefully, she’ll be able to come to one of the concerts or the showcase coming up. unfortunately, i don’t think my sister or my dad will be able to come this time, but i’m hoping they’ll be able to sometime soon! fingers crossed that everything will work out in the end.

i listen to a lot of songs, so don’t worry if i’m missing one of your favorites! but the first ones i listened to this morning were how you like that by fabula and illusion by fabula. i was practicing the choreography in the dorms this morning, so i was listening to the recordings. next, i listened to my sea by iu because it’s a very calming song and it helps me to feel relaxed in the morning before going to the company. a few hours later, during my lunch break, i listened to jikjin and same same different from future dreams season 5! i’ve been watching the episodes when i can and the songs are just so good!

my first search was for a toaster oven with a digital screen. i saw it on a tiktok video, and since i burn my bagels and toast a lot, i thought i would see if i could buy one. it ended up being very expensive, though, so i guess i’ll just have to keep toasting the old-fashioned way. the next thing i looked up was flights from washington dc to incheon, since my mother was asking. she said she may have the chance to come to the family concert this year! next, i searched up “new pokemon game release date.” i actually really love pokemon so i’m looking forward to the new game that’s coming out soon. the new starter pokemon are so cute! finally, i searched up “fabula” and “fabula minji.” i was interested in what people were saying about the recent comeback announcements, teasers, and family concerts. and besides, i think everyone has looked themselves up online at least once before!

KieueCaprie's List of Games Finished in 2023 Entry #1: Super Lesbian Animal RPG

Okay, before I even go on, I'm gonna say this: - Yes, this game looks like a Super Nintendo game. - Yes, this game includes at LEAST ONE (1) Lesbian - Yes, this game has one (1) animal... maybe even more. - And yes, this game is an RPG. I mean, come on, Melody's class is literally Paladin, a staple class in a fantasy RPG!

So, obviously, you know exactly what you're getting into when you buy this game, which I'm going to jump the gun right now and say, buy it. It's a good game. It works on Steam Deck! Kinda! It scales funny! But it plays! And that's important!

...anyway, where was I? Oh, right, my thoughts about the game.

Now, I have to come clean. I am not a lesbian, but I guess I now hold the title of "He/They Lesbian" after finally completing this game, a very unfamiliar concept to me but whatever I'm not gonna worry about it, but this game feels like it resonates with me. It's got a cute cast, an adorable setting, bright colors, and there may have been times when I unironically thought, "Oh, she's just like me... she's just like me for real!" while inwardly sobbing. Didn't even know I was capable of that.

That said, I liked the story a lot. The gameplay was nice, combat wasn't tedious even though I got to a point where I just used the same strategy over and over (Melody kisses Allison, Claire gives Allison an element-appropriate buff, Jodie taunts, Claire boosts Allison's attack, Allison wrecks face), the areas, while definitely small, held a lot and I really liked learning about the L O R E of the world, which is something I wish more settings would do, honestly.

There were parts that kind of got to me, though, and I had to set the game down for a moment to 1) process everything that happened and 2) not get secondhand anxiety, but it was all worth it in the end.

And hey, it's inspired me to pick up RPG Maker again, not even sure that's a glowingly good thing to say but... well, there it is.

I will admit, I've gotten very attached to The Novas and their friends and acquaintances to the point where it really broke my heart when Melody essentially had a panic attack during the mana leak maze segment and then not too long after, snapped at Allison because she believed the aforementioned bunny (it's year of the bunny soon btw) was being held back by her. I kind of had to stop playing for a bit afterwards to not get overwhelmed by the horrible feelings I've had.

And I felt sheer joy when they finally reconciled afterwards, I just wanted to see them happy again.

Also, if I had to pick my favorite character, it would have to be Melody. She's a character that you don't often see in media (hell, I get the feeling. It's why Liliana, one of my OCs, is also plus-size... and has the same color shirt sense. They both wear green tops! Or, at least, as a favored outfit kinda deal.) and she's sweet and lovable and I just wanted to see her succeed, y'know? Plus it's not often you get to play as someone who specs into healing from the get-go, but that's a remarkably lower factor compared to everything else.

I'm sure the world of Reverie will stick with me for quite a while now that all is said and done and I think the game is incredibly well done.

Also, the "superbosses" of the game actually did break me out of the funk of doing the same strat over and over and I really appreciated the break from all that.
