I had no idea that Sherman Hemsley was gay! He never married and never had kids and left his estate to his “male companion” when he died. NEVER KNEW ANY OF THAT!
Someone was interviewing garret morris recently and he confirmed that he’d known Sherman was gay since the 70s

There was a time, and I have said it before, that comedy was used to spotlight and show how damned stupid prejudices are.
Today, there is no way a Sanford and Son could be made. All In The Family, Archie Bunkers Place, The Jeffersons, The Honeymooners', Bosom Buddies, Chico and the Man and others I just can't remember. Folk have grown tissue thin skin and could not survive George Jefferson or Archie Bunker having a full-blown meltdown. As a kid I could not get enough of Redd Fox, Demond Wilson and the hilarious LaWanda Page. Damn we grew up on some "grow some thick skin" TV, and we are better for it.

Floorplan from THE JEFFERSONS.
Black History Month has already ended but this was pending... so here it goes. In this floorplan (as with the one in "Good Times") there was a problem to fit the secondary room which, curiously, is in exactly the same position in the hallway. Hope you like it...
