Every Night's Like an Open Frame
A lil sequel to “Waiting on Mr. Right” ;)
Series also on AO3!
(ID in alt and under cut)
ID: 1a. Aerial shot of a parking lot with one car and a single story building with a temporary sign strapped onto it that says ‘open all night’. A permanent sign on a pole out front says 'Arden Heights Dark Bowl' in purple LEDs, several letters burnt out. A speech bubble pops out of the building that says, 'Guillermo!' 1b. Inside, a medium shot of Nandor and Guillermo facing each other in profile, bowling lanes with LED striping in the background. A monitor is hung above them listing their scores up to the sixth frame, showing Nandor at 46 and Guillermo at 52 with two additional strikes in the last two frames. A little cartoon bowling pin appears on screen, saying 'strike!' The entire room is lit with neon green, purple, and red lights. Nandor sweeps his arm toward the scoreboard angrily and shouts, 'Why did you not tell me you were such a skilled bowler?!' Guillermo tosses his arms out and snaps back, 'Because that’s the first question you’ve asked me all night! You’ve only been talking about yourself!' 1c. Shot of Guillermo over Nandor’s shoulder, showing only one other occupied lane a ways behind him. Nandor throws his arms up, fingers curling in a strangling motion, and replies, 'You said asking questions was a first date activity! This is our second!' Guillermo slumps with a tired frown, pointing out, 'Only technically! The getting-to-know-eachother part is continuous, Nandor. You’re not getting to know me at all.' 1d. Reverse shot of Nandor, who crosses his arms and huffily asks, 'Oh, so you are not interested in hearing about my large penis and great vampiric powers?' 1e. Reverse shot of Guillermo, who purses his lips together and glares back, cheeks flushed. 1f. Repeat. Guillermo mumbles through gritted teeth, '…Not the point.' 1g. Medium shot of them both in profile. Nandor leans forward with a triumphant smile, poking his finger at Guillermo’s face, and crows, 'Aha! See? I am providing the necessary information to ensure you will agree to future dates!' Guillermo leans back away from his pointing finger, pouting in embarrassment and glaring to the side. He mumbles back, 'Shouldn’t I get to do that, too?' 1h. Shot from behind Nandor as he whips around to face the viewer, back to Guillermo, a triumphant grin still wide on his face. He says, 'No need!' Guillermo peers suspiciously at him from the background. 1i. Close up of Nandor’s hand as he sinks his fingers into a red 16-pound bowling ball on the return rack, Guillermo visible behind him clutching his own arm and looking mildly confused. Nandor continues, 'I have already decided how I feel about you.' 1j. Close up of Nandor in profile on a bubbly pink background as he holds up the ball in front of his face to inspect it with a serious expression. He says, 'I cannot imagine anything you could say that would make me want you more.' Close up of Guillermo staring at him, eyes wide and sparkling, cheeks flushed, as Nandor continues, 'Or anything that would keep me away.' 1k. Wide shot, bust of Guillermo small in the center, blushing and looking frustrated with himself as he thinks, 'Why is this working for me?' The background is full of dancing red flags. Offscreen, Nandor continues, 'But very well.' 1l. Shot over Guillermo’s shoulder as Nandor turns to face him with a grin, one hand on his hip and the other holding up a peace sign with the bowling ball held up on his fingers. He says, “Whomever hits the most little white men-“ Guillermo interrupts, correcting, 'Pins.' Nandor continues, '-on the next turn will have to answer a personal question.' 1m. Full body shot from the lane as Nandor turns toward it and dips to roll the ball with a confident smile and decent form. His bowling shoes do not match his outfit. Guillermo stands behind him in equally ugly shoes, watching.
2a. Close up of the bowling pins as Nandor's ball flies down the lane, knocking down some but not all. 2b. Close up at the scoreboard showing Nandor's score of 4 in frame 7. There are more bowling sounds from offscreen. 2c. Repeat, Nandor's score updates to show a spare as he knocks down the rest of the pins. A cartoon pin appears on screen with a wink and a thumbs up, announcing, 'Spare!' Offscreen, Nandor crows 'Ha!' 2c. Close up of Nandor looking very smug as he turns toward Guillermo and sweeps his arm toward the ball return behind him. He says, 'You're up, Guillermo.' 2d. Medium shot of Guillermo as he takes a green ball and readies it in his hands, squinting back at Nandor who stands behind him. Nandor is still holding his arm out and smiling, though the smugness has faded some in favor of affection as a little pink heart floats around his head. 2e. Close up on Guillermo in profile as he turns himself toward the bowling lane, bringing the ball up to balance in front of his face. His furrowed brow and the neon lightning strike in the background enhance his intense focus. 2f. Full body from below as Guillermo steps forward and takes his shot, form perfect and eyes forward. 2g. Shot of the lane from above as Guillermo's ball immediately veers sharply right and sinks into the gutter. 2h. Further shot of the ball rolling in the gutter down towards the pins. 2i. Close up of the ball falling off the end of the lane with a plunk, leaving all pins untouched. 2j. Close up of Guillermo looking calm and unsurprised, brows raised unconcernedly as the animated pin presses it's gloves hands to its face in shock and shouts 'Uh-oh! Gutterball!' Behind him, Nandor is a picture of shock, arms flying out beside him, eyes bugging, mouth dropped open. He shrieks, 'Wha- Guillermo!'
3a. Medium shot of Guillermo as he turns his back on the bowling lane to face Nandor, one hand on his hip and one eyebrow raised. Offscreen, Nandor stutters, 'That's not- You weren't supposed to-' Slightly pink in the face despite his confident veneer, Guillermo interrupts and asks, 'Now you have to answer a personal question, right?' 3b. Reverse shot of Nandor on a purplish pink background filled with question marks. Nandor frowns and tilts his head, baffled, but replies 'I- I suppose, but-' Guillermo interrupts from offscreen again and says 'Great.' 3c. Wide shot of them both in profile, the bowling alley stretching out behind them. Guillermo steps closer, still holding his confident and unbothered expression, and asks 'Do you wanna go make out in the parking lot?' Nandor's eyes bug out in shock, cheeks flushing purple. 3d. Repeat. Nandor rushes forward to take both of Guillermo's hands in his own and hold them up between them, leaning close and staring with a sweaty and flustered intensity. He replies, 'I was wrong. I am wanting you even more now. Tell me everything about you while we are doing the making out.' Guillermo's face breaks into a silly grin, amused but not uncharmed by this response. 3e. Exterior shot of the bowling alley from above, Guillermo now leaning against the building with Nandor pressed against him as they make out. Guillermo's right arm is around Nandor's waist and his left hand is pressed to the wall above by Nandor's. Dialogue drifts down the screen as they canoodle. Guillermo: 'Mmm, but I never went to art school or anything, it's just a hobby.' Nandor: 'I would love to see your work... Would you draw me, too?' Guillermo: 'Maybe...if you'd pose for me.' Nandor: 'However you want, Guillermo... Oh! You can roll your tongue? So can I!' Guillermo: 'Hahaha!' Nandor: 'You are full of surprises...' Guillermo: 'You have no idea...' The neon sign above them takes up most of the panel; more letters are now burnt out to spell 'The End.' /end ID

There Are Worse Things I Could Do
I could flirt with all the guys Smile at them and bat my eyes
Tumblr media
“Seriously? We have been through this for like four hours now! Even Erica gets it and she’s ten years old!” Mike snapped at you.
“First of all, she’s eleven, Michael! And secondly, you do not talk to me that way! Time out for you!”
“What? You can’t give me a time-out! I’m fourteen-!” he complained, standing up.
“Time out, Michael Wheeler” you said between clenched teeth as you stood up and looked up at him. You may be shorter than him, but you could still see the same fear in his eyes. “Now!”
Mike turned to look at Dustin, who simply shrugged, knowing they would not argue with you whenever you put one of the guys in time-out. He sighed and looked back at you.
“Fine” he said, walking over to the kitchen. “But I’m leaving because I want to” he mumbled as he walked over to the kitchen to grab something to drink and then to the living room.
You rolled your eyes, frustrated, sitting back down. Dustin and Mike had been trying to teach you how to play Dungeons & Dragons for the entire afternoon—trying being the keyword.
“Don’t listen to Mike” Dustin said, placing his hand on your shoulder. “You know he has like zero patience and I think he’s fighting with El or something, I don’t know” he tried to cheer you up. “Why is this so important to you anyway? I mean, you told us Eddie said he’d teach you” he said, confused.
“I know” you sighed. “I just… didn’t want him to think that I knew nothing about Dungeons and Dragons” you explained.
“But… you know nothing about Dungeons and Dragons” he chuckled. “And that’s the whole point of him teaching you, isn’t it?”
“I guess” you said.
“You know how when we were little, you could always tell when one of us was lying?”
“I still can” you informed him.
“Well, so can we. We can tell when you’re lying” he told you. “And I know there’s something you’re not telling me” he said.
“Really? You all can tell when I’m lying?”
“Fine. Will and I can” he confessed, making you smile. “So, what’s going on?”
“I hate that you are growing up” you chuckled. “Fine, I’ll tell you, but you have to promise not to laugh at me” you said.
“Pinky swear” he said, sticking out his pinky and you took it.
“I don’t want Eddie to know that I don’t get this because… he’s the first person that hasn’t made me feel dumb” you muttered.
“What?” Dustin asked, offended. “Including us?”
“Dustin, I love you, but yes, you are ridiculously smart, and sometimes you need to get your ego checked. It’s funny when you do it to Steve but sometimes you have done it to me” you informed him.
“Sorry” he muttered.
“It’s fine. I know you don’t do it to be mean” you smiled. “Look, I know you guys have noticed I’m not really the most liked girl in school” you rolled your eyes. “And Eddie has been one of the few people to be nice to me. He always has been nice to me and he actually stood up for me in our math class so I just… I don’t know I don’t want him to think I’m dumb-”
“You’re not dumb!” Dustin argued.
“I’m not… the brightest, okay? I’m not top of my class or anything and I really struggle with math which is like the main thing of this game!”
“So… if you don’t like math, why do you want to play it? We have been trying to get you to play for years” he said confused and then he gasped. “Oh, my God! You like Eddie!”
“What? No, I don’t!” you scoffed. “He’s just my friend!”
“Are you sure?” he asked, smirking and resting his head on his hand.
“Yes, I’m sure” you glared at him.
“You don’t sound so sure” he laughed.
“You know what, I’m gonna go grab something to drink” you said, getting up.
“Sure, change the subject, that doesn’t prove my point at all!” you heard him all the way from the pantry as you walked over to the fridge.
You grabbed a soda and tried to shake Dustin’s comment off your head. You didn’t like Eddie. Not like that. He was just nice. And sweet. And funny. And…
“Why is Mike sitting down on the couch grumbling about being in time-out?” Steve asked, closing the fridge door and snapping you out of your thoughts. He then grabbed your soda making you roll your eyes and get another one.
“Because he is in time-out for yelling at me” you explained as Steve laughed.
“Why did he yell at you?”
“Because I can’t understand Dungeons and Dragons” you admitted.
“Dungeons and Dragons? Why are you trying to play their nerdy game?” he laughed.
“Yes, (Y/N), why are you trying to play our nerdy game?” Dustin said, appearing in the kitchen and looking extremely interested in this conversation.
“No reason” you shrugged, widening your eyes at Dustin. “I’m just… thinkingaboutjoiningHellfire” you mumbled, looking away from Steve.
“You’re what?”
“I just may… be… joiningHellfire” you said.
“Talk normally” Steve scowled at you.
“Fine! Eddie asked me to join Hellfire” you said, avoiding Steve’s look. Steve froze for a moment before he turned to look at Dustin.
“Henderson. Time out. Go with Wheeler” he said, calmly.
“What? You can’t give time-out-”
“Go!” Steve said, pointing at the door. Dustin rolled his eyes and left to the living room.
“You know that they are just going to listen through the door-”
“What the fuck are you doing?” Steve asked, a little upset. “Why are you even hanging around with Eddie ‘the freak’ Munson?”
“Don’t call him that!”
“Oh, what? He’s your friend now?”
“Yes, Steve” you glared at him. “He happens to be my friend-”
“(Y/N)” Steve said, getting serious. “What is going on with you?”
“Nothing” you insisted. “There’s nothing going on with me and there’s nothing wrong with Eddie being my friend-”
“Yes, there is!” Steve argued.
“Just because you don’t like him because Dustin suddenly has another role model, doesn’t mean he’s a bad person-!”
“That’s not what this is about! Munson is bad news, okay?”
“Why? Because he used to sell you weed?” you said, suddenly making Steve glare at you. “Oh, you think I didn’t know?”
“That’s not the point!”
“Then what is your point, Steve?”
“Is this about Jason?”
“Oh, my God! This has nothing to do with Jason! Why do you have to bring him up every time I’m upset about something?”
“Because you won’t even tell me why the two of you broke up in the first place!”
“It’s none of your business!”
“And now, what? You’re hanging out with people like Eddie Munson? What about your friends?”
“I DON’T HAVE ANY FRIENDS!” you yelled, making Dustin and Mike appear at the door, peeking their heads in. “Happy? Is that what you wanted to hear?” you snapped, as Steve looked at you, confused.
“W-what are you talking about?” he chuckled. “Of course, you have friends-”
“No, Steve, I don’t” you told him. “Jason made everyone stop talking to me” you explained.
“What? Why?”
“Because that’s the kind of person he is, okay? So, I have no friends. Except for Mike, Dustin, Max, sometimes Lucas, Robin because she’s your friend, Nancy because she’s too good of a human being to still talk to me after all the shit she has been through, and Eddie Munson” you said. “I’m not the (Y/N) Harrington anymore, okay? And I like hanging out with Eddie and he’s nice to me so…” you sighed.
“Hey-”
“Don’t look at me like that” you chuckled sadly. “Please. Everyone looks at me like that” you said. “Except Eddie” you admitted. “So, I honestly don’t care if you like him or not. He’s my friend” you said before leaving the kitchen.
Steve turned to look at Mike and Dustin and they entered the kitchen. “You two knew about this and you didn’t tell me?”
“She made us pinky promise!” Dustin complained.
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
“So you asked her to join? You actually talked to her and asked her to join Hellfire?” Gareth asked as he and Eddie walked down the hall.
“I did” Eddie rolled his eyes.
“And she said yes?”
“Yes, why is this so hard to believe?”
“Seriously? You’re asking me why I’m having trouble believing that the girl that you have practically been in love with for God knows how long has now suddenly agreed to join your club?”
“Well, she did!”
“So, have you told her you love her yet-?”
“Shh! Shut up!” Eddie said, pulling him to an empty hallway, hoping that nobody had heard that. “We literally just became friends, you expect me to tell her that I am in love with her so she never talks to me again?”
“Fine” Gareth laughed. “I’ll leave you to your girlfriend” he said, nodding his head towards the door next to them. Eddie looked inside and saw you painting some of the sets for this year’s play. “Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do” he smirked before he left Eddie alone.
Eddie opened the door and walked, instantly smiling when he heard your voice. Not talking, singing.
I'm nothing special, in fact, I'm a bit of a bore If I tell a joke, you've probably heard it before But I have a talent, a wonderful thing 'Cause everyone listens when I start to sing I'm so grateful and proud All I want is to sing it out loud
He had never heard you sing. He walked closer to you, noticing that you had your Walkman on and you never heard him come inside. He didn’t want to frighten you but he didnt want to look like a creep and just stand there listening to you sing, which he could very much do without complaining.
So I say, thank you for the music The songs I'm singing Thanks for all the joy they're bringing
Who can live without it? I ask in all honesty What would life be? Without a song or a dance, what are we?
So I say thank you for the music For giving it to me
He finally made it to the stage and slowly walked over to you trying his best not to scare you.
Mother says I was a dancer before I could walk She says I began to sing long before I could talk And I've often wondered, how did it all start? Who found out that nothing can capture a-
“Hey, princess-”
“HOLY FUCK!” you turned around as soon as you felt a hand on your shoulder, and you waved your paintbrush, making the purple paint fall all over Eddie’s face and hair. “Oh my God!” you felt your cheeks burning, dropping the brush next to you and quickly grabbing your towel to clean his face. “Eddie, I am so sorry! You scared me, I didn’t mean to-”
“It’s okay, princess. Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you” he chuckled, smiling adorably at you, which definitely did not help your growing crush.
“Um, here” you said, handing him the towel.
“Thanks” he gladly grabbed it from you. “So, how come you’re here all by yourself painting at lunchtime?”
“It’s lunchtime?” you asked, looking down at your watch. “Oh, I guess I lost track of time” you chuckled. “So, you brought me lunch?” you asked, noticing he had two lunch bags in his hand.
“Wha- n-no” he asked, blushing a little. “I mean, I do have one to spare, if you want it” he offered.
“Oh, n-no. If it’s yours I don’t want to um-”
“Seriously, princess. Take it. If you don’t mind peanut butter and jelly sandwich” he laughed.
“Well, that happens to be my favorite” you admitted. “But it’s yours, I can still go buy something-”
“Oh, please sweetheart, nothing in that cafeteria is eating-worthy” he insisted, making you laugh a little. “I insist” he said, handing you one of the bags. You felt your heart beating a little faster at the new nickname he called you and you grabbed the bag from him, smiling.
“Okay, but lunch is on me tomorrow then” you insisted.
“It’s a deal” he said, offering you his hand to walk down the stairs from the stage and over to the chairs. You gladly took it and couldn’t ignore the butterflies in your stomach. No one had made you feel like this before.
“Um… how come you noticed I wasn’t at lunch?” you asked, feeling your cheeks burning a little. As you sat next to him, you started going through your bag, which also had a bag of chips in it.
“I uh- w-well, um, H-Henderson pointed it out” he covered it up. He was not just going to blurt out the fact that he always noticed if you were at lunch or not. “Plus, I remembered we both have next period free so I could teach you D&D” he smiled.
“Oh… right” you smiled nervously. “D&D” you said, quietly, making his smile drop.
“W-what? Did you change your mind about that? Because it’s fine, I mean-”
“N-no, it’s not that” you assured him. “Um… okay, if I tell you something, do you promise not to laugh at me?” you asked, nervously looking away.
“I would never laugh at you, (Y/N)” he said, truthfully. You looked back up at him and found him smiling. There was something about Eddie that made you feel like you could be yourself and he really wouldn’t judge you for it, unlike your former friends.
“W-well, I kind of asked Dustin and Mike to teach me a few things about D&D because I didn’t want to seem like a complete idiot in front of you” you said, feeling your cheeks burning. Eddie wasn’t really sure how to feel about your confession. He would never want you to feel that way with him,
“I wouldn’t think that. I know you’ve never played before-”
“It’s just just that” you sighed. “Look, my brother and I got… pretty good at not doing something if we’re bad at it” you told him. “I honestly think I will be the worst D&D player you’ll come to encounter” you chuckled nervously.
“Well, you don’t have to if you don’t want to” he insisted. “But… how do you know you’re bad if you haven’t even tried?”
“I think I will just feel a bit stupid, I mean, you and your friends, and Dustin, and Mike have been playing for years” you told him.
“That’s true, but we all started at one point” he shrugged. “I never took you for a coward, Harrington” he smirked, making you scoff, offended.
“Excuse me?”
“You heard me” he said, eating another one of his pretzels. “I mean I would at least try before saying I failed, but, like I said, if you don’t want to, you don’t have to do it” he smiled.
“I know what you’re doing” you smirked.
“What’s that, princess?” he acted innocently.
“Fine, I’ll try, but if you make fun of me, I’m done” you informed him.
“Fair enough” he said. “So, we know being cool enough to play D&D is not your thing” he said, making you glare at him. “So, what’s your thing?”
“What?”
“You said you and your brother don’t do things if you’re bad at it” he explained. “So, what are you good at?”
“I don’t know” you mumbled.
“Oh, come on, princess” he laughed. “I thought we were getting to know each other” he said, getting a hair tie from his jeans and pulling his hair back. If you hadn’t been fully convinced, you now definitely were. You had a crush on Eddie Munson.
“W-well, I um-” you struggled with your words. Eddie Munson with his hair pulled back was a menace to the world. Well, to your world specifically. “I like painting” you said, grabbing the brush from your apron.
“Cool, what else?”
“Um…” you bit your lip nervously. You really couldn’t concentrate on anything with him looking like that. And the worst part is that he obviously noticed.
“What?” he chuckled.
“Nothing… I just… I don’t think I’ve ever seen you with your hair up” you smiled.
“Do you like it?”
“Well, I think the purple on it really brings out the color of your eyes” you mocked him “But… yes, it looks good on you” you admitted, smiling shyly.
“Thanks, princess” he smiled.
“Um, y-you know” you said, looking back at the stage. “Um… I have always wanted to audition for the school play” you said. You had never told that to anyone. Not even Steve. And you told Steve everything. Well, except why you and Jason broke up.
“Really?” Eddie asked and you nodded. “Why haven't you? From what I can hear you’re a kick-ass singer” he said, making your cheeks burn.
“I don’t know” you shrugged.
“Come on, princess” he smiled, looking at you with his big brown eyes.
“I have stage fright” you confessed, making Eddie almost spill his drink.
“You have stage fright?” he repeated and you nodded. “You, (Y/N) Harrington, have stage fright?” he chuckled.
“Yes, why is that so hard to believe?”
“How can you have stage fright when you were a cheerleader? You had to dance in front of everyone” he laughed.
“That's different, everyone is looking at the players nobody really looked at us” you argued.
“You know that’s not true, right?” he smiled. “I mean everyone is looking at the cheerleaders when they do their whole things- with the pom-poms and all” he said, mocking a little cheer with his hands and making you laugh.
“Well, nobody looked at me, I was always in the back” you said, shyly.
“I looked at you” Eddie blurted out, making you look up at him.
“N-no, you didn’t” you chuckled.
“Uh, yes I did” he argued.
“You were never at the games” you said, confused.
“Yes, I was. Just because you didn’t see me, doesn’t mean I wasn’t there” he said, eating another pretzel.
“Well, be that as it may, that’s different. I didn’t sing” you insisted.
“You were singing now” he informed you.
“Because I thought I was alone!”
“Sing something” he said, casually.
“W-what?”
“Sing something to me” he insisted.
“Like… here? Right now?”
“Why not?”
“I told you, I have stage fright-”
“Come on! It’s just me” he laughed. “And you’re not on a stage” he raised his eyebrow at you. “Come on, princess, you can sing anything you want, and… I’ll tell you my favorite ABBA song” he winked at you.
“Really?” you asked, not believing him. “Wait, you like ABBA?”
“Well, you told me something about yourself. I tell you something about me. That’s how this whole friendship thing works, sweetheart” he said. “I promise to tell you my favorite ABBA song. Scout’s honor” he said, making the scout sign.
“I really doubt you were a boy scout, Munson” you chuckled.
“You’re breaking my heart, Harrington” he smirked. “Either way my word is worth more than a scout’s” he insisted. “Fine” he said, sticking out his pinky. “Pinky promise” he smiled.
You smiled back at him and linked your pinky to his. You took a deep breath and closed your eyes. And then…
I don't wanna talk ‘Bout things we've been through Though it's hurting me Now it's history
I've played all my cards And that's what you've done too Nothing more to say No more ace to play
The winner takes it all The loser has to fall It's simple and it's plain Why should I complain?
The winner takes it all The loser's standing small Beside the victory That's her destiny
“Wow” Eddie said, unable to form any other words.
“What?” you asked, feeling your cheeks burn and getting extremely nervous.
“That was… shit, princess, that was beautiful” he smiled.
“R-really?” you smiled.
“Yes” he nodded. “And, you may not believe this but… that’s my favorite Abba song” he told you.
“No, it’s not” you chuckled.
“Now it is” he smiled at you. “Seriously you have a beautiful voice” he told you. “You should try out” he suggested.
“How? I can’t sing in front of people” you told him.
“You just sang in front of me-”
“You made me!”
“I can help you” he told you.
“Y-you can help me?”
“Of course, I can. You are not only looking at the guitar player in Corroded Coffin, sweetheart, I also sing” he smirked.
“You, Eddie Munson, sing?”
“I do” he nodded.
“Sing something to me” you smirked. “Sing me your favorite ABBA song” you challenged.
Eddie finished munching on his pretzels and took a deep breath. “Okay, you promise not to tell anyone I like ABBA?”
“Girl scout’s honor” you mocked him, making him laugh a little.
So imagine I was glad to hear you're coming Suddenly I feel all right And it's gonna be so different when I'm on the stage tonight
Tonight the super trouper lights are gonna find me Shining like the sun Smiling, having fun Feeling like a number one
Yes, you 100% had a crush on Eddie Munson.
“That was beautiful, Eddie” you smiled. “I never would have guessed that was your favorite ABBA song” you told him.
“Yeah, my mom used to sing it to me when I was a kid” he admitted.
“Well, she has very good taste in music” you said. You knew that Eddie lived with his uncle, everyone did. But nobody knew why, and you didn’t want to step on any boundaries asking him now.
“So, what do you say? You want my help?”
“For what?”
“The school’s play. You should really audition” he reminded you.
“Oh, um… well, I uh- I’ll think about it” you promised. “I just… get really anxious at the thought of standing up there” you said, nodding your head towards the stage. “But… maybe it might be easier if you’re on the crowd” you suggested.
“Are you stealing my ABBA song, princess?” he asked, making you laugh, which was music to Eddie’s ears. “Oh, I almost forgot, I have something for you” he said, grabbing his bag and he then took out your camera.
“Oh, my God! Eddie! It looks just as if it was new! How did you-?”
“I told you I knew a guy” he smiled.
“Thank you so much” you said, throwing yourself at him and wrapping your arms around him before you kissed his cheek. “Oh, uh-” you said, pulling away and looking down. You felt your cheeks burning horribly. “I uh- I’m sorry if that w-wasn’t okay” you stammered.
“It was” Eddie said, gently lifting your head and brushing his thumb against your cheek. “It was okay, princess” he smiled at you.
You weren’t sure what it was. If it was because Eddie had been the kindest person to you since you came back to school. The way he smiled at you. The fact that you couldn’t stop thinking about him and each time you dreamt about him it ended up with him kissing you. But now here he was, so close to you, with that goofy green and those big, beautiful brown eyes. And all you could think of was to lean in and pulled him to your lips. The minute his lips touched yours, the entire world melted around you. You had never felt something like this. Eddie widened his eyes in surprise but he quickly gave in. He was on cloud nine. You were kissing him. You were kissing him. But as quickly as it started, it was over.
“Oh my God!” you pushed him away nervously. “Eddie, I’m s-so sorry, I shouldn’t have done that-”
“N-no, it’s fine-” he tried to reassure you.
“It’s n-not!” you chuckled nervously as you started grabbing your things. “I’m sorry. I- I have to g-go” you said, walking away from him.
“Wait, (Y/N)-”
“I’m s-so sorry” you said, stumbling on your own to feet but managing to not fall down and you kept walking to the door. “Sorry!”
“But-” before Eddie could say anything else, you shut the door behind you and you were gone. He ran a hand through his hair, frustrated, and sighed. “Shit!”

Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: Supernatural (TV 2005) Rating: Explicit Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Dean Winchester/John Winchester Additional Tags: Always Female Dean Winchester, Alternate Universe, Child Abandonment, Prostitution, Grief/Mourning, Emotional Sex, Oral Sex, Vaginal Sex, Unsafe Sex, Cock Warming, Implied/Referenced Drug Use, Catharsis Summary:
It’s cold and windy, the bite of first snow in the air, a strange yellow glow in the sky that tells Deanna winter is coming and it’s coming soon. Her breath billows in a cloud of white, and she pulls the thin leather jacket tighter around herself, rocks on her heels to keep the blood flowing.
It’s a little past midnight, and the streets are quiet—too quiet—for all of them to get to the other end of the night with some cash in their pockets. It’s not the first time and it won’t be the last, but she needs the money tonight, for a hot meal and a fix and maybe a new jacket that isn’t more holes than fabric.

If I had a nickel every time Santana had a song that was in-universe a solo but turned into a trio via fantasy sequence because first a teacher who was screwing a student joined in and then another queer kid who didn't get what they longed for...
I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice 🤔

(ID in alt and under cut)
ID page 1: 1. Interior of a bar, romantically lit, and covered in heart balloons, heart and cupid decorations, heart shaped light strings, and various small round tables with two chairs each. The tables are occupied with male/female couples in mid conversation. A waitress dressed in black jeans, black button up, and a white apron around her waist walks through with a tray. In the foreground is the corner of the bar counter, which has a small sign advertising 'Valentine's Day Speed Dating' On February 13 between 7pm and 10pm. A little cupid cartoon is pictured on the sign saying 'Every time a bell rings, ladies move on to your next date!' At the bottom, it says 'Find your Valentine! (before it's too late)'. 2a. Close up of Nandor on a salmon background lighter at the top and darker at the bottom, dressed up in his finest red and gold fur trimmed coat, sitting at one of the small tables, hands folded in front of him. He stares expectantly forward and says, 'I am glad to hear your parents are dead; I never liked any of my previous 37 wives' parents. 2b. Reverse shot of a middle aged black woman in a red turtleneck sitting across from him, arms crossed with an uncomfortable expression as she stares back at him with no response. 2c. A brown hand in a dark beige suit sleeve rings a small golden bell. 3a. Close up of Nandor, leaning over the table with his fingers pressed together, presenting his date with a lascivious smile. He says, 'How many times a day do you expect cunnilingus?' 3b. Reverse shot of a white middle aged redhead across from him, dressed in a mauve v neck sweater and nervously avoiding eye contact while gulping a glass of white wine. 3c. A brown hand in a dark beige suit sleeve rings a small golden bell. 4a. Close up of Nandor, smiling sweetly with his hands folded in his lap as he says 'Without a word spoken between us, I find myself falling deeply in love. Do you feel this also?' 4b. Reverse shot of a middle aged southeastern Asian woman with a bob and large glasses. She still has her coat in her arms and hasn't even slipped her bag off her shoulder, and there is an untouched menu in front of her. With an expression of vague disgust, she replies'...No.' 4c. Reverse shot as the woman gets up to leave, Nandor planting his fists on the table and calling out 'Hey, the bell has not rung yet!' 5. Close up of Nandor as he crosses his arms and clicks his tongue, mumbling angrily to himself 'Clearly she has no idea how dating works.' A waiter reaches into frame to grab the abandoned menu and snorts in response. 6. Zoom out as Nandor jerks his head around to whine, affronted, at the waiter, 'Ayy, what, waiter-man? Where is the joke?' The waiter, who appears to be Guillermo wearing a black button down, black pants and a white apron around his waist, holds the menu up with both hands to shield his face, replying 'Sorry, sorry! Nothing!' /end page 1
ID page 2: 1. As Guillermo hides behind the menu, Nandor holds his hand up in a useless hypnosis gesture and barks 'I am Nandor the Relentless and I command you to tell me!' 2. Close up of Guillermo as he peeks cautiously over the top of the menu. Offscreen, Nandor continues, 'You are seeing so many people here have success...' 3. Close up of Nandor looking pleadingly upward as he says 'What am I doing wrong?' 4. Guillermo fully lowers the menu with a cautious smile, replying 'I mean...I guess you come on a little strong?' 5. Wide shot of them both. Nandor makes an affronted expression and curls one arm up to show off his bicep, gesturing to it with his other hand. He says, 'I am strong! I am very strong! Do modern women no longer admire strength?' Guillermo, holding the menu under one arm, holds up both hands in a soothing gesture and responds frantically 'Nonono, for sure! I just meant that you're acting really intense right off the bat!' 6. Close up on Nandor with a thoughtful hand on his chin as Guillermo continues offscreen: 'Talking love and marriage...it's too soon for a first date.' Nandor: 'Ahh... This is more third date talk?' There is a small reaction shot of Guillermo looking exasperated but resigned as he reluctantly agrees: '...Sure.' 7. Close up on Guillermo as Nandor asks offscreen: 'So what is first date talk?' Guillermo replies, counting off on his fingers, 'Well, it depends on the person, but generally... Get-to-know-you questions? Like where did you grow up, how many siblings do you have, that kind of stuff.' 8. Close up on Nandor as he turns his face away to glare into the middle distance, a sudden shadow melting half his face into darkness as he says 'I grew up in the faraway kingdom of Al Qolnidar, which no longer exists, and I had seven siblings, all of whom are now dead.' There is a small reaction shot of Guillermo looking shocked and cornered, unsure how to respond to all that. 9. Wide shot from Nandor's other side as he raises his eyebrows guilelessly and gestures to Guillermo with a hand, prompting, 'And then you answer?' Guillermo jolts in place, surprised to be placed in the date's role, and replies 'Oh, yeah, uh. Your date would answer, too. Um. I grew up here in the Bronx and I'm an only child.' 10. Repeat. Nandor and Guillermo both stare expectantly at the other. 11. Repeat. Nandor drops his gaze with a frown, eyes hooding, and grunts 'Hm. This is very boring, waiter-man.' Guillermo, flustered and irritated, throws his arms out in a helpless gesture and snaps 'Well, you have to actually engage in the conversation! Ask follow-up questions! And it's Guillermo!' Nandor says, uninterested, 'What is.' /end page 2
ID page 3: 1a. Close up on Guillermo on a bubbly pink background as he points a finger sternly and states 'My name! It's Guillermo.' 1b. Reverse shot of Nandor looking up at him, almost dazed, cheeks flushed a bit purple as he echoes 'Guillermo...' 1c. Reverse shot of Guillermo as he withdraws his hand to curl it protectively against his chest. He looks a bit taken aback by the reaction, cheeks gone a ruddy pink. 2. Wide shot of them both on a red-violet background crisscrossed with multicolored lights. Guillermo looks away from Nandor nervously, blushing and sweaty, patting his free hand anxiously on the menu held under his arm. He stutters out, 'I, uh. Anyway, I gotta-' Nandor, leaning his head on his hand and gazing at Guillermo with a besotted expression, interrupts, saying 'You are very wise in the ways of dating, Guillermo.' He puts extra emphasis on the name. 3. Close up on Guillermo as Nandor continues: 'You have been on many dates?' Guillermo fidgets, still looking away, and mumbles back 'Not, not like a lot, no. Not like a large amount. Like a normal amount, probably.' 4. Wide shot as Nandor lifts his head and leans closer with a small smile, asking 'And how do your suitors woo you? If they are asking you on a second date?' Guillermo is startled into making eye contact and goes red, clutching the menu to his chest with both hands as he sweats nervously. 5. Repeat. Nandor leans even closer, smile widening into something more flirtatious as Guillermo stiffens and looks away again, somehow getting even redder as his shaky mouth pulls into an uncertain grin. Guillermo stutters out, 'I mean...assuming the first date went well...um...' 6. Close up on Guillermo, smiling nervously even as he avoids eye contact. He says, 'I guess he might...get me flowers?' 7. Close up on Nandor on a bubbly peach background from Guillermo's POV, looking up patiently as he listens. Guillermo continues offscreen: 'He'd...tell me how much he enjoys my company, or...pay me a genuine compliment.' 8. Close up on Guillermo on a bubbly peach background from Nandor's POV, his smile softened and eyes far away as he continues: 'And...whisk me off somewhere fun. Somewhere new. Somewhere we could...stumble in to an adventure together. Away from everything else. And we'd stay up all night because we just...didn't want it to end.' /end page 3
ID page 4: 1. Close up on Guillermo's hand, crossed over his opposite arm, as Nandor nudges his fingers underneath to free his grip. Nandor starts softly, 'And...' 2. Wide shot on a bubbly pink background. Nandor has taken Guillermo's hand and is holding it like a knight would a lady, gazing down at it softly as if readying to kiss it. He continues, '...how many of your suitors have done this for you?' Guillermo, dazed, gazes down at their hands and replies '...I... I don't think anyone would...' 3. The plain green background wall slams back into view as a bell rings offscreen. Wide-eyed and red-faced, Guillermo snatches his hand away from Nandor and flings it upward as if tossing the moment over his shoulder. Nandor is left frozen, hand in the air, eyes wide in shock. 4. Repeat. Guillermo begins to back away from the table, tossed arm coming around to rub at the back of his neck. He looks up and away, sweating , red, and awkward as he chokes out a loud forced laugh and says 'Well, that definitely counts as coming on too strong. Terrible advice, don't do that.' Nandor leans after him, hand hovering in midair, squeaking out 'A-' 5. Repeat. Without letting Nandor finish, Guillermo disappears out of frame with a hasty 'Ok bye good luck!', leaving Nandor saying nothing but question marks, hand still frozen in the air as if reaching out after him. In the foreground, a woman with long brown hair and a dark pink sweater steps into view to take the seat in front of Nandor. 6. Slight zoom, the background returning to the light and dark salmon as Nandor settles back into his seat. The woman across from him, out of focus in shadow, says 'Hi, I'm Kjersten! Um...that's a really interesting outfit...' Nandor doesn't appear to be listening and is staring after Guillermo thoughtfully, a Mona Lisa curl to his lips. /end page 4
ID page 5: 1. Low angle of an alleyway, fenced at the rear and surrounded by tall buildings in multiple vague colors with some spray painted areas. Snow is piled up on either side of the center path against the sidewalk. In the foreground, there is a dumpster. A pink text box at the top reads February 14, 12:07 am. Halfway down the alley, a door opens and Guillermo steps halfway out, missing his apron but having added a coat, carrying a full garbage bag. A voice from inside calls, 'Guillermo, you can head out when you're done, okay?' Guillermo's breath steams into the air as he turns back to the door to respond: 'You sure? The dishes are-' The voice interrupts him with 'Sí, es El Día Dr Amor y Amistad! (In English: Yes, it's Valentines Day) Go sow your oats! You're too young to be working so much.' Guillermo replies without enthusiasm, 'Ha...yeah. Thanks, Teresa, have a good night.' 2. View from behind as Guillermo pulls the lid of the dumpster up with one hand and throws the bag in with the other. He sighs and mutters to himself, 'My oats are just gonna go home and watch Buffy...' 3. There is a clatter in the alley behind him and Guillermo spins around to face the viewer, startled and tense. 4. Extreme close up on Guillermo jerking back in shock as a wad of dandelions are suddenly thrust into his face. A voice offscreen calls 'Guillermo!' happily. 4. Zoom out as Nandor, now with a black and gold cloak dusted with snow over his finery, kneels down in front of Guillermo, arm outstretched to keep the dandelions pushing at his chin. Guillermo, pink and flustered and very confused, takes a step back and splutters 'Nandor?! The- the relentless?' Nandor ignores his reaction and announces, 'Here are some flowers!' 5a. Close up on Nandor as he looks up at Guillermo, dandelions thrust into the foreground and his hair and shoulders dotted with snow as if he had been waiting for some time. He proceeds, clearly rehearsed, 'I very much enjoyed your company tonight as well as the sight of your charming boyish face and plump behind!' His voice is demanding but his expression, eyes shining upwards and cheeks flushed purple, betrays his nerves despite the confident set to his brow. 5b. Reverse shot of Guillermo, staring down at him slack-jawed with wide shiny eyes and pink cheeks, the dandelions still hovering up by his face. Offscreen, Nandor asks 'Have you ever been to Staten Island?' Guillermo responds 'No...' on autopilot. Nandor concludes, 'Then that is where I will be whisking you for our date!' 6. Full body shot, the alleyway back in focus and showing an empty snow-lined street on the other side, a single window just above Guillermo's head lit up from within. Nandor finally stands up and rubs at his chin with a worried expression, dandelions clutched in the other. He says, 'I've heard tales of an all-night bowling alley, but my housemates never want to go with me.' Meanwhile Guillermo, frozen beside him with his hands hovering in mid-air, lets his brain catch up with what's happening. He stares into the middle distance as equations float around his head and his breath fogs into the air. Above, it begins to gently snow. 7. Close up of Guillermo, knocked out of his trace by a gentle prompting from Nandor offscreen: 'So...?' An EKG line skips a beat in the background as he startles and looks up, eyes shining and lips pressed together in a frown. 8. Reverse shot of Nandor, looking very nervous now as he stares back hopefully, holding out the bouquet of dirty dandelions one more time. /end page 5
ID page 6: 1. Close up of Guillermo on a bubbly pink background. He smiles genuinely, red-cheeked, and reaches out to take the dandelions from Nandor's hand. He says, 'Okay...' 2. Medium shot of the two in profile. Nandor, still holding the flowers as Guillermo tucks his hand inside his grip to take them, looks down at Guillermo in shock and echoes 'Okay?!' Guillermo looks up at him with a shy smile and clarifies, 'Yeah. Yes.' 3. Nandor drops his hand and straightens up, a giant silly ecstatic grin taking over his face. Guillermo turns back toward the building and points behind him with his free hand, the other now clutching the dandelions. He says, 'Just let me clock out an-' 4. A close up of Guillermo, blurred diagonally with sudden motion. The only thing clearly visible are his wife eyes, frozen grin, and a little white question mark. 5. Knees up of Nandor, now holding a startled Guillermo in a bridal carry, on a red background lined with glowing neon pink hearts. Grinning wildly down at his date, Nandor announces, 'Prepare to be whisked, Guillermo!!' Guillermo sits there wide-eyed, clutching his little wad of flowers to his chest and somehow finding his other arm looped around Nandor's neck. He stutters frantically, 'Wai- wait, Nandor, you don't have to-' 6. The background warps upward as Nandor shoots them both upward into the sky, flying them both right out of the panel. Guillermo's last word is stretched out in a startled 'OOOOOO??!' as they take off, a single dandelion escaping his grip and drifting back toward the ground. 7. Wide shot of the night sky, dark purple with bursts of white clouds and speedily increasing snowfall, lit by a clear full moon. Nandor and Guillermo fly through, Nandor smiling in a pleased way and clutching Guillermo tightly as he watches their ascent. Guillermo, both arms now around Nandor's neck and more flowers slipping from his grip into the night, stares up at him with awe. He thinks to himself, 'This is the best night of my life...' Behind them, the words 'the end' are carved into the moon. /End ID

There Are Worse Things I Could Do
There are worse things I could do Than go with a boy or two
Tumblr media
“Ready for your final year at Hawkins High School, monkey?”
“Stop calling me that” you rolled your eyes at your brother when he parked in front of your school.
“Come on! This is exciting!” Steve tried to encourage you. This is your Senior year! You’re going to have so much fun!”
“Right” you sighed, grabbing your things.
“Look, I know that… you have been in a bad mood since you and Jason broke up- BUT” he said when you were about to complain. “Don’t let that ruin your final year with your friends. Just go there and remind everyone who you are and have the time of your life, okay?”
“Did you just quote Dirty Dancing to me?”
“Well, I wouldn’t have to if you hadn’t made me watch it over a million times! Now go, you don’t want to be late for your first day of school” he said with a big smile. “Oh, and just… keep an eye on Dustin, okay?” he asked.
“Of course” you smiled back at Steve before you walked out of his car.
“Love you, bug” he smiled.
“Love you too, monkey” you smiled.
“Have fun, okay?” he yelled and you saw him wave at you before driving off. If only it were that easy.
You started making your way to the school and hugged your books closer to you. You knew this year was going to be the worst one. At least it was only one left. You spotted your group of friends, well, former friends, and tried your best to just keep your head down and walk past them, but, of course, today was not your lucky day.
“Well, look who’s here” you heard Andy laugh and walk closer to you. “Aren’t you gonna say hi, babe?” he said, blocking your way.
“Hi, Andy” you said, looking down and trying to walk past him but he didn’t let you. You saw the rest of the guys coming closer and you gripped your books tighter. “I need to get to class” you said, quietly.
“What was that?” you heard Jason’s voice.
“I n-need to get to class” you repeated, glaring at him a little.
“Right, of course” he laughed. “Perfect little miss Harrington just needs to get to class” he mocked. “So, go to class” he said, stepping aside.
You stupidly thought maybe they will let you off easy and started walking away, but as soon as you did, Jason nodded at Andy who stuck his foot out and tripped you, making your books and papers fall to the ground. You felt your knees and hands burn when you landed on the gravel but there was no way you would cry in front of them.
“Oops, sorry, my bad” Andy said, laughing with the rest of them. You were about to stand up, when you felt Jason’s shoe push one of your arms, making you land on your left elbow.
“You should really watch where you’re going, Harrington” he said, kneeling to your level. “See you around, babe” he said, winking at you before getting up.
You grabbed your things as they walked away from you. You saw someone grabbing one of your books that was the furthest and placing it closer to you. You looked up to see Patrick. He looked like he was sorry but he was obviously not going to do much more than that so he walked away.
“Hey” you turned around to see some of the guys from the Hellfire Club looking at you. You felt even more nervous, not knowing what they were going to say. “Are you okay?” one of them asked walking closer to you. You felt bad for not knowing their names.
“I’m fine” you said, trying to smile as you got up.
“Are you sure?” another one of them asked.
“Yes, thank you” you said, just wanting to get out of there. You ran over to your locker and sighed in relief when nobody was around.
This was going to be a long year. This was your life now. You were alone. It was all Jason’s fault. You knew it. You never understood the power he had over people and without you by his side anymore, you were actually a bit scared of what he was capable of.
“Hey-” you jumped when you heard a voice on your left, but you were glad to find Dustin and Mike. “Shit, sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you” Dustin smiled. “Are you okay?”
“Dustin, Mike” you smiled. “Hi, guys” you said, nervously. You loved these kids. Even before Dustin became your brother’s best friend for some reason and make him start acting like a descent human being, you had babysat them for so long, you were even a little upset that they were now all taller than you. But they were good kids and you loved them. “It’s so good to see you” you said, frowning when you saw the third one was missing. “Where’s Lucas?”
“Oh, he uh” Mike said, awkwardly. “He wanted to try out for the Basketball team” he told you.
“Why?” you asked before you could stop yourself. “I m-mean… oh that’s um… nice” you said, unconvinced. You felt a little sad. The guys were already dealing with Will being gone and now Lucas seemed to be pulling away from them.
“Hey, what happened to you?” Mike asked, looking at your scraped hands.
“Oh, uh… nothing” you said, pulling up the sleeves of your blouse to cover your hands. “I just um… tripped” you told them.
“Okay” Dustin said, unconvinced and then, thankfully, the bell rang. “Oh, shit! We gotta go, we can’t be late!”
“See you around!” Mike yelled before the two of them ran in the opposite direction.
“Bye, guys” you smiled sadly, feeling a small tear roll down your cheeks. Those two kids were probably your only two friends. You shook your head and composed yourself before you grabbed your things. Not noticing someone looking at the entire scene with his worried deep brown eyes.
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
Two weeks. It had been two weeks since school started and they were the worst two weeks of your life. It was one thing that you were constantly alone and people were avoiding you like the plague. But your friends were not only not talking to you, they were going out of their way to make you feel even worse. Everywhere you went someone would trip you, toss your books, make you late for class, or even throw food at you. And to top it all off, you always found a new vulgar word written across your locker whenever you came back to it. You always felt like you wanted to cry. You had no idea what you did to deserve so much hate from everyone. And especially the people that you once considered your closest friends. You were currently washing off the word ‘slut’ from your locker that was written in what looked like light pink lipstick. You knew exactly who wore this shade of lipstick.
“Ehem” you sighed and turned around to find her standing behind you. Carol Perkins. You always hated Carol. And she hated you. Even when she was friends with Steve. She had always had a crush on him and you were the one that told him she was a bitch. And she knew that. And then, she always said you wanted to steal Billy Hargrove from her. When, really, you had worked with him on a project and he happened to not be horrible to you. But that was pretty much it. “Did you redecorate your locker, Harrington?”
“Yep” you said, before going back to the task. “But I think light pink is more your color, isn’t it, Carol?”
“Of course” she said arrogantly. “It looks perfect on me, doesn’t it, ladies?” she asked the three girls behind him who agreed with her. Chrissy being one of them, but she only looked away when you made eye contact with her. “I don’t know why you bother taking it off, really, it’s not like it won’t be here again tomorrow” she laughed. “And besides, it’s not like it isn’t true” she said, making you tense a little.
“Shouldn’t you all be at cheerleading practice or something?” you asked.
“Why? Are you still upset you didn’t make the cut this year?”
“I didn’t even audition so-”
“Well, of course not. Chrissy is now captain and it would be a bit awkward since Jason left you for her, wouldn’t it?”
You felt your heart sink for a moment and you looked back at Chrissy. Your former best friend. “Y-you’re with Jason?”
“I w-wanted to tell you-”
“She owes you no explanation whatsoever” Carol interrupted her. “Not after what you did, anyways” she told you. “Now Jason can be with someone who isn’t a big slut for a change” she said, laughing at you. “Oh, and if inspiration strikes you, you might want to take a look at the last stall in the boys’ bathroom” she mocked. “You know, the one that everyone uses to… well, I shouldn't really tel you, right?” she said with a smirk. “Let’s go, ladies” she said walking away and kicking the bucket of water and soap you had on the floor before the rest of them followed.
Chrissy stayed behind and looked at you the same way Patrick had done on the first day of school. “Um-”
“You should leave, Chrissy” you said, quietly. “Y-you shouldn’t talk to me” you said with a sad smile.
“I just want-”
“Chrissy!” you both heard Carol at the end of the hallway. “Let’s go!” she demanded and Chrissy looked at you one last time before she followed them.
You threw the brush in your hand and grabbed the towel to dry the floor where Carol had kicked your bucket. You then grabbed your things and, even though you knew you shouldn’t have, you walked over to the boys’ bathroom at the end of the hallway. It was empty. Of course, it was since most people were in class and this was the bathroom that everyone used to hook up, smoke, or really do whatever you weren’t supposed to do because no teacher ever came in here.
You walked over to the last stall and your hand shook as you slowly opened the door. And, when you did, you brought your hands to your mouth, dropping your bucket and your supplies again. The entire wall was covered in marker, paint, crayon, pen, pencil, whatever you could think of, saying the most vulgar things you had ever read about yourself. There were even some drawings and some very graphic sentences. It made you sick to your stomach. You had no idea how someone could do this. How someone could be so mean. You went inside the bathroom stall and locked yourself. You felt defeated and alone. You had done nothing wrong to deserve this but nobody seemed to care. It was your word against Jason’s. And you knew it would be useless. You had no one. Your friends had sided with him. And everyone else feared him too much to even acknowledge you anymore.
You thought about going to Robin since she was Steve’s best friend but you knew she had her own things to deal with and you didn’t want to drag her down. Same thing with Nancy. She was still really nice to you even after she had broken up with Steve, but you knew she was now with Jonathan and she had her fair share of this fucking world so there was no way you were dragging her back to it. Lucas had made it to the basketball team, so he looked at you like he wanted to say something, but you knew it would be soon before he would believe them over you. Max had been keeping to herself since Billy died and even if the two of you sat down together sometimes for lunch, you didn’t want to burden her with these stupid things when she was going through something bigger. So that left Dustin and Mike. The two of them had joined Hellfire Club. You were glad they had found someone, but you didn’t want to drag them further down with you. You knew the reputation the Hellfire Club had and now, you were apparently the only thing worse than that club. So, here you were, alone, crying on the floor of the boys’ bathroom. It wasn’t long before you heard the door open and someone walking in.
Eddie Munson walked inside the bathroom to have a smoke before his next class. What he wasn’t expecting was the sound of someone crying. He slowly walked over and saw that the cries were coming from the last stall in the bathroom.
“Uh, hello?” he asked.
"Go away!" you said, not even caring who it was.
"Harrington?" Eddie felt his heart stop, recognizing your voice instantly.
"Munson?" you asked, feeling annoyed.
Great, just what you needed. Eddie Munson coming to make your life even worse. It’s not like you didn’t like Eddie. You always thought he was really funny and he was always nice towards you. But he always, always, found a way to tease you and you were not in the best mood right now. You couldn’t blame him. People, like your own brother and your now ex-boyfriend, had always been horrible to Eddie. Maybe Steve wasn’t as bad as Jason, but he still called him Eddie ‘the freak’ Munson. So you wouldn’t be surprised if he would now be gloating at the sight of you, like this.
"Why are you crying?" he asked, leaning against the door of the bathroom.
"I'm not crying!" you snapped back at him.
"Um, you sound like you're crying-"
"Well, I'm not!"
"Okay" he said unconvinced. "Why are you not crying in the boys' bathroom?"
"None of your business! Just leave me alone!"
Eddie sighed and ran a hand through his hair, frustrated. He had never seen you like this. You were always so happy and cheerful and just… perfect. At least it always seemed that way. You and your brother looked perfect on the outside. And, as much as he hated to admit it, that's probably what made him fall for you so fast. Not only because you were beautiful, but because you were actually nice, unlike everyone around you. Of course, not that you knew. The only thing he ever did to get your attention, was tease you. Any chance he could. He would always make snarky comments about you and your perfect life because it would always make you smile or laugh. And he loved that. He called you 'princess' in a mocking way because he said that's what you were. A perfect little princess, living her perfect little life. But now, here you were, sitting in the boys' bathroom, crying. He leaned down and noticed you were sitting on the floor, so he went over to the next stall and climbed on the toilet to look at you. And when he did, his heart broke into a million pieces. You were sitting with your back against the wall, knees to your chest and your head buried in your arms. His heart ached every time he saw your breathing and heard your sobs. The wall behind you had horrible words describing you in different colors, fonts, and sizes. Eddie felt sick to his stomach. He had heard the way the guys from the basketball team, specifically, talked about you. He didn't know you very well and he had no idea if what they said was true, but whether it was or not, they had no right to speak like that about you and make you feel this way.
“Hey” he said, quietly, making you look up at him and he saw your face black with your running makeup.
“What the fuck are you doing? What if I was using the bathroom?!”
“Well, you’re not” he rolled his eyes.
“Just leave me alone, Eddie! Please” you begged. Eddie felt his heart flutter when you used his first name, which you rarely did. He took a deep breath and climbed back down from the stall. You thought he would finally go away but you were wrong once again. He slid on the floor and was now sitting in front of you with his back against the other wall of the stall. “What are you doing? I asked you to go away!”
“I can’t do that” he simply said.
“Why not?”
“I can’t just leave you here crying your eyes out, princess!” he told you. You felt a small wave of affection through your heart when he called you that. You never did, but maybe it’s because he was the first person in months to be decent to you. “So, if you don’t want to talk, that’s fine. I can just sit here and keep you company” he shrugged his shoulders. “Want one?” he asked, offering you a cigarette but you shook your head. “Fine, but there is no way in hell I will just leave you here, feeling like this and knowing that you are clearly not okay” he said. You looked at him in shock. You would have never thought that Eddie Munson would be someone to actually care if you were alright. In fact, you wouldn’t have been surprised if he would be enjoying this moment since he always seemed to hate your group of friends and especially your ex-boyfriend. “So, what’s it gonna be? Are you gonna tell me what’s wrong or do you want me to fill the silence with my stories? Because I actually have a bunch of shit to talk about. I have to come up with this quest for the Hellfire Club and I could really use some fresh eyes, you know-?”
"Why are you being nice to me?" you asked with a voice so broken, Eddie tried his hardest not to cry with you.
“Why wouldn’t I be nice to you?”
“Nobody else is” you said, looking down at your legs while you wrapped your arms around them.
"You've always been nice to me" he said.
It was true. It didn't matter how much Eddie bugged you, you had never been mean to him. You were never mean to anyone. So it infuriated him that now everyone was mean to you just because Jason said so.
"I thought you hated me" you said, quietly.
"Oh come on, princess, don't flatter yourself" he chuckled, feeling his heart warm when he saw a ghost of a smile on your lips. At least one person hasn't changed around you. "I don't think enough about you to hate you" he mocked you, making you roll your eyes a little. "Plus, you got like a thousand percent cooler now that you dumped your loser friends" he laughed.
"Well, technically they dumped me" you muttered sadly. Eddie leaned closer to you and wiped away a tear from your cheek.
"Well then, fuck them" he smirked. "You are (Y/N), fucking, Harrington. You're a badass! You don't let anybody make you feel like this. Trust me, princess, this is their loss. You are too big for this place. You are way too interesting to be beaten down by those shitheads” he told you. Eddie kept going when he saw you were trying your best to smile at him. “I may not know you that well, but I do know one thing. You are one of the smartest people I know. So I am sure you are smart enough not to believe any of the things these assholes are saying” he insisted, placing his finger underneath your chin so you would face him. “None of this it’s true” he said, pointing at the walls behind you. “Nobody has the right to talk about you this way and nobody is worth making you feel like this, do you hear me?” you shyly nodded, looking away from him. “No, princess. Say it to me” he insisted. “Tell me that you don’t believe these fuckers and that you know you’re better than them” he told you. “You’re (Y/N), fucking, Harrington!” he repeated. “Say it, princess” he smiled.
“I-I’m (Y/N), f-fucking, Harringt-ton” you chuckled.
“That convinced nobody, love” he laughed.
“I’m (Y/N), fucking, Harrington!” you tried again, a little louder.
“Yeah, you’re almost there” he insisted and you took a deep breath.
“I’m (Y/N), FUCKING, Harrington!” you yelled with a big smile behind your teary eyes. Eddie couldn’t help but smile too. That’s the girl that he knew. That’s the girl that he was in love with. And he was so happy to see her again.
“Fuck yeah, you are” he said, proudly. “Now, I don’t know about you, but I don’t really think this is the best place to hang out so” he said, standing up and offering you his hands to help you. You wiped away the remaining of your tears and grabbed his hands so he helped you up to your feet before he opened the door and stepped aside to let you go first. You had never really noticed he was kind of a gentleman. “Promise me you’ll stop giving those shitheads so much attention” he said, once the two of you were out.
“Okay” you nodded.
“You feel okay?” he asked once you looked at yourself in the mirror and cleaned your face.
“Well, I feel less like shit” you admitted and he laughed a little.
“I’ll take that” he shrugged. He just stared through the mirror while you cleaned yourself up and redid your makeup in no time.
“Better?” you asked, smiling at him. For a moment, Eddie saw the old you. The one that was always happy and kind to everyone.
“Just as pretty as before” he muttered and you felt your cheeks burn a little. “Look, I would love to stay, but I’m pretty sure that if I’m late for class again, I will give up all my chances to graduate this year so…”
“N-no, yeah, you should um… go” you smiled shyly, looking down at your shoes. “I have taken up enough of your time” you told him.
“Well, I’m glad I could help” Eddie said, bowing his head before he turned to the door.
“Eddie?” you called him and he looked back at you. Before you knew what you were doing, you ran over to him and wrapped your arms around his waist. Eddie was too shocked to move or know what to do. “Thank you” you said, still not letting go of him. He slowly wrapped his arms around you and felt you relax in his arms.
“Anytime, princess” he smiled, wanting to live in this moment forever.

A/N: soooo what do you guys think? should I do a part 2? also, a couple of things, I brought Carol back because I actually liked Chrissy and didn’t want to make her a bitch so let’s all just pretend that Carol was younger than Steve... aaaaaaand I know Dirty Dancing came out in ‘87 but the comment just came out so we’re all just going to pretend it came out earlier :D so this was more like a prologue of what happened and the beginning of the relationship with Eddie but please let me know what you think :)

Okay, okay, There Are Worse Things I Could Do.
I’d argue this is the best song of the episode not just on terms of vocals but in terms of what it does for the story. Like A Boy Like That in season 3′s West Side Story this has an interesting meta layer of both the musical and the Glee’s story. And unlike the other “in-universe it’s a Santana solo but we’ll have it as a trio”, Constant Craving, this one actually does work really well as a trio.
TvTropes’ Glee page is kinda garbage, like, utter garbage in some parts but I really like what they say about this song, which is:
The best part is that it manages to be an "I Am" Song for Santana, a Villain Song for Cassandra and an "I Want" Song for Unique.
Even the way the distribute the lines is excellent to fit these three separate characters and their stories. And Naya Rivera, once again, doing her damn best to act out emotion through song at the very end there. Excellent piece.
Sure, bringing in Cassie is a weird choice but I’ll take this over Shelby singing Constant Craving because she’s fucking Puck any day, and at least this serves as a villain song unlike it did for Shelby.
