"there's no basis or case to be made for will having powers" okay then genuinely please explain any of the following now after watching season four:

why does the upside down look like hawkins and is presumably stuck on the day will arrived despite the fact that vecna was there first and has been residing there this whole time? if vecna was capable of reshaping the world, as he's stated he wants to do, why hasn't he done it in his own world? why is he so intent on seeking out the person for whom time apparently stopped if it's all just coincidence? if will didn't do that and he doesn't have powers, then why didn't time progress or the setting change once the teenagers got there? why was time only influenced by will and will alone if he has no powers whatsoever?

how was will able to call joyce multiple times? the only person we've seen so far be able to do something similar is eleven when she would channel what she heard through the radio. electricity doesn't work in the upside down, so how did will do that? why did it cause a shock and ruin the phone, the same way that the radio went up in flames when eleven did it, if he doesn't have powers?

how did he manage to wake joyce up at one point? (it could've been her imagination, but the show made it pretty clear that joyce had been right about everything the entire time even though everyone thought she was crazy, and will was wearing the same outfit but he looked and sounded distressed + exhausted like he may have been while hiding in his upside down version of the house.)

how was will able to see his mother and guide her with the lights to the place he was hiding?

how was will able to see the letters she wrote on the wall?

how was will able to light up the lights that fast and sometimes simultaneously? especially with the lights that were on the ceiling? the way he communicated with joyce isn't totally similar to the way the teens communicated with the party in season four. he's too short to reach the ceiling and he doesn't have elasti-arms or super speed, so he couldn't have been touching that many lights that fast all by himself with his own hands. if anything, it's more similar to the training exercise brenner had the lab kids do, because they didn't need to touch the lights (obviously) to control them. so, how do you explain that if he has no powers?

how did he acquire true sight before his possession? the doctors thought it was ptsd and all in his head, but just like with joyce, we come to learn that will had been right the entire time. the mind flayer was real and it was coming for them all and eventually it did. how did he know that? how could he have had such knowledge before it ever melded minds and bodies with him? no other powerless human could do that, so how do you explain it?

if will is truly a powerless human being, why did vecna hunt him down? we know that vecna stalks his prey before he strikes. we know that "the monster" followed will from mike's house all the way to the shed where they vanished without a trace. we then saw it stalk will again and eventually possess him. will said that vecna wanted to kill everyone else, but not him. why? we know that vecna doesn't care about people. so what did will have that he wanted so bad? what was it about will that made him more valuable to vecna—a self-perceived god among useless, pitiful, and brutish men—alive than dead? what was it about will, a supposed powerless and normal human boy, that made vecna want to spare him and use him? if he wanted access to the lab, weapons, or tools that could bring down entire nations and rendered millions around the globe defenseless to his attack, then he wouldn't have picked a sweet twelve year old boy who lives a tiny little life in a tiny little town who just wants to hang with his friends and play games. unless... he was the key to achieving his plans? but according to this argument that will is just a normal boy, why is it then that vecna did all of that if will isn't capable of anything?

additionally, we know that gates are opened with a psychic connection. when the psychic connection was made in that shed, will entered the upside down. there, he was hunted for a week. why did the demogorgons kill and eat everyone else, but never will? why did they only carry him to the library aka the source of it all? why didn't they treat him roughly or eat him like they did all of the others? will didn't suffer any serious damage from the upside down, so he couldn't have been "dead" for long when his parents found him. why was it different with him? why did he get special treatment even in hell if he's just a boy?

why does will still sense the creatures of the upside down even after he's been exorcised? how is it that the psychic connection is still there? how is he still able to know what vecna is feeling, the kind of state that he's in, and what it is that he's planned? how does he have this connection still even though he shouldn't if he's Just Some Guy?

if will was just a normal, powerless boy... then why did a self-proclaimed god try so hard to recruit him more than once? why did it hunt only him? why did this god want to kill everyone but him? why did this god deem him more worthy and useful in life and at his side than in death? why did it seek him out and not eleven, a girl who actually has powers, powers that were once stronger than his own even and that he clearly wanted as we saw in s3? why is the upside down stuck on the day will went missing, despite it clearly being inhabited by other creatures that we assume to be more powerful than him? why is will going to be central to season five, the season where it will all come to a close and we'll be learning about the upside down and more, if... he's Just Some Guy that had to brave it for a week and that's it? why did season four (and the show overall, but said outright and explicitly here in 4x09) reiterate that it has always been vecna and that will has always been his victim/in his sights/connected to him? why did vecna choose will byers, who some of you claim to be Just Some Boy, of literally all people on planet fucking earth to achieve his plans?

vecna stalked will. he hunted him. and when his plans were foiled, he tried again. when he couldn't do it his way, he sought to kill eleven so that he could absorb her powers (s3). and now, they're back in each other's heads. the silver cat fed when blue met yellow in the west, but they're back now and we've been told that this is only the beginning. if will is just another powerless human, then what is the point of any of that? how do you explain everything that we've seen? how do you explain the choices these characters have made and continue to make? how do you explain away the connection that they keep drawing our eyes to? the connection that shocked the duffers and made them ask jamie if he'd seen the scripts when he brought it up (that it all goes back to will, how everything and everyone is connected to will)? the connection that they themselves are saying we'll see clearly in season five?

that isn't even scratching the surface of all the obvious instances where they make it clear that will is vecna's narrative foil, because that would make this already gargantuan post thirty miles longer.

they wouldn't have done everything that they've done over the span of multiple seasons now if it was just for nothing.

it doesn't make sense if will is just some normal kid and a random fluke in the master plan. the writers could've had vecna pick anyone. they could have made it so that will's connection was severed or lessened, but they didn't. they could've admitted that will was just a meaningless casualty, but they didn't because he wasn't. it wasn't a random animal that took will, he wasn't possessed for shits and giggles, and he doesn't continue to have that psychic connection for no reason. they don't tell us that nothing is a coincidence and they don't have the characters themselves remind us that they need will just for it to be... nothing.

will knows what's coming, what's happening, and the condition of the person who will do it all. why have him experience all of that, and even be able to in the first place, if he's... powerless? how do you even explain the connection in the first place? no other character, not even the ones cursed by vecna, are able to do what he's done. how is that not considered a power? and how do you write off the hours of content that you've witnessed as nothing?

clearly, at some point you have to realize that something is going on, no? like, you don't even have to take my (one-too-many) word(s) for it. jamie and the duffers themselves have been saying it over and over again. so... honestly, what's not clicking?

• Will buy anything you like. Literally anything. You want a necklace? He got it. Oh, you prefer matching hoodies? He got it. A German Shepherd? Wellll... he's going to think about it.

• My guy probably shows his affection through every way possible in this universe, LMAO.

• He's gotten you gifts before, praising you with his words whenever you impress him, hugging and clinging onto you tightly like a koala, spending time with you in cafes or malls that you favor, and the list goes on..

• But if he had to choose one? It's definitely physical touch.

• Your skin feels so soft against his, he had admired your curves even in public, he loves having your hands interlinked together, he felt.. really closer then ever.

• Though he won't force you, but if you insists on showing this affection first, he'll melt into a puddle. He loves PDA, but not the totally extreme ones. A simple hug or kiss on the cheek is more then enough for him.

• I mean.. just look at him. He's a touch-starved guy who's been away from his favorite person, what did you expect? A simple kiss at home wasn't enough for him, definitely not. He wants to feel you clench around him..

• Or after a lovey-dovey session, just whispering praises in your ears and telling you how well you did, how well you took him, as he caresses you softly.

• Three simple words. Act of service.

• He might be one hell of a sassy guy, but he would be SO vulnerable around you. Every order you tell him, he'll give you a playful comment, but definitely follows it.

• Probably gets all embarassed when you mention about the way he's following your comands, he'll always be rejecting the fact that he listens to you really well.

• He can literally feel his knees going weak when you praise him after he had followed your orders, but he acted all tough and confident around you.

• You want him to cook? Sure, tell him what food you want. You want him to buy food? Sure, tell him what restaurant. You want him to cuddle with you? Gladly, with open arms, while you with open legs.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE GIFT OF APPOLLO STRIKES AGAIN FOR ME SPECIFICALLY CAUSE I CALLED OUT THIS CANCELLATION THE MOMENT FOREVER GOT CANCELLED!!!!! Its just so easy! So simple! Of course a male musician is gonna get cancelled and so few listened to me cause you are dumb children because obviously its children who make up the majority audience of a Minecraft roleplay server!!! Ha! At this point its comical! I'm busting a nut on how funny and predictable this all is. Haha, ah sadge. Oh noooos! Are you all gonna burn your merch and delete your art cause you're afraid that u are supporting an abuser creep. Ah waaaahhhh. Like i havent heard that tune the past two months, sing another one. Bitches.

Pft, you all are so pathetic and funny, at this point there really just must be this shadow group or whatever that is trying to destroy the qsmp from the inside out. Like really? Two months, three major creators of the qsmp are targeted by cancellations, and there is plenty of drama in between. So obviously suspicious and coincidental. And it happened so fast and so many people just dogpiled on the accused, i would have to say its almost organized. And that there is just so many jumping the gun, ready to tell these creators to kill themselves, you guys certainly have numbers, holy shit. Ha! I wonder if Forever actually finds and sues that first anti, that he'll be able to figure out who these people are because isnt this also just so conveniently timed? Each cancellation one after another. There is so much drama clouding the qsmp community that how could it not be schemed out at this point? I already predicted that with Forever's downfall and now with attempts I. Cellbit and Wilbur, Im starting to have an inclination that someone approached these girls.

With cellbit's ex it would be easy to deflame him, but i wonder how they got to this sherby whatever. Maybe cause he chose his career over her like i've heard in her video. But being exs is already hot opportunity for scorn of any kind, so its quite easy to jump on one or the other when one of these two accused the other. So really the motive could be anything at this point. anything she said or not said or those requests she asked of him and he never fulfilled. And to me she never delved too deeply in to what those requests were either. Which ok then. Fine, keep your secrets.

But biting is so fucking weird to accuse someone as abuse. Especially physical. Like just biting? That's all. Not that if its true that's not bad, but it would make sense that he was physically violent in any other way at least once. Like hitting, strangling, anything. But no, biting is the best she could come up with when it comes to physical. Mental and emotional abuse is a tricky in cause its not visible and it will always boil down to a he said she said type of shit but if there is no physical text or people witnessing their conversations then good luck with that.

But firstly, if she wants the whole world on her side then physical evidence should be so easy in this scenario. Like as easy as pie! If he bit her so badly every day where he tore skin, or whatever, then damn weren't they in a relationship??? Did they not take couple pictures? Wouldn't these pictures show the obviously horrible bitemarks? That is the first actual physical evidence that she could show that would be so easy to solidify her stance, but no, just hearsay. And nothing like texts either! Maybe a text to a friend complaining about how bad the bitemarks are. But no, nothing. No slideshow of evidence at all, just saying it happened, because words are all she needs to win the internet nowadays.

And then there are her complaints about him financially taking advantage of her, like girl, receipts! Show the receipts at least please, god damn it! Or again, these supposed texts to your girlfriends that he is taking financial advantage of you!!! Anything at all. The male accused is always expected to provide evidence that he did not abuse his ex but the girl isn't expected to show physical evidence that he did it, come on!!!

And I mean the biting in itself is so strange too. Cause like- how did it even start? She says he did it out of nowhere and my brain cant even wrap around that there was no pinpointing starting point. Said that it was a normal affection thing that his parents said was normal. If his family actually said that at all. And that he just randomly introduced it to her like ... Huh? Nothing she could accurately point to and say then, thats when it began. No sexy time or sex or whenever. Just he walked up to her in the kitchen one day and took a bite, huh? Like as far as im aware, to me (and a mutual of mine who pointed this out more accurately) their situation just sounds like a bdsm thing that went south. These two were not on the same wavelength, realized that and went their separate ways. Maybe he didn't follow the safe word every time, maybe she was also mutually into it like Wilbur said. Maybe they just changed their minds on things. Who knows! Not us, that's for sure. Not that their love life should be any of our business, but she yelled abuse so...

And the fact that she acts like biting is such a weird foreign kink. It's tame is what it is. More tame then the feet kinks in my opinion. But if what Wilbur says it's true and it was mutual, 😮‍💨 then fuck, man.

And why would HIM leaking past conversation be power over her? Wouldn't any mutual conversation or evidence they have over each other, negatively effect him in a bad light? Would it not be good if one of these parties showcased a lick of evidence to evidentally prove her right??? Or would it be like Cellbit and explain thoroughly how not everything she said is the truth?

Who knows. There is probably some truth to what she said like he reiterated. About being a slob and that biting happened. But the invasiveness of the bites and the violence of it might not have been accurate. But he needs to absolutely admit it or she needs literally any physical evidence at all to give weight to her claims. But there is nothing because of course there isn't. She could so easily expose him if what she says is true... So why didn't she in her video? If that is what she wants? But then if it is just to bring awareness then she did so in a selfish manner that is only accusatory and not grounded. Ground me Shelby. Show me the bad boyfriend he is. SHOW ME.

Like in the past two months, creators have been cancelled or dropped from the qsmp one by one and damn, quackity must be super evil or one unlucky son of a bitch to have hired all these secretly maliscious people. My goodness gravy gracious, how impressive!

I mean come on, really. Like really. Have we not overheard this tune by now? Male creator gets cancelled cause of something to do with a woman, is rushed to answer and is (luckily for cellbit he had an essay on why he was innocent so people are fifty fifty on him at least) then dogpiled by the people waiting to rip his apology or response apart. And then it doesn't matter what they do, anything they do will be seen in a bad light and no one will take into consideration on their stance at all and turn on the male creator. Its crazy how the pattern keeps repeating itself and keeps being successful because everyone is afraid that they are supporting an abuser pedo whatever and have all this time.

It actually makes me sickly relieved that no matter how Forever managed his initial response, he was doomed from the start.

And i mean these younger streamers certainly think they're smart by immediately turning on Wilbur's obviously curated damage control lawyer made response, but ha! That will bite them in the ass soon too. When its their turn. Because its going to be their turn. These cancellers don't care at this point who you are, they just want to see you fall, which is what i predicted and shouted to the heavens months ago! That they should have stayed as a community instead of turning on each other.

Like they think they are so smart responding this quickly, cause the quicker your response to injustice, the more innocent you are 😇. Because if they dont respond immediately (literally hours after the fact), then they will be treated like creators such as Phil and Tommy; be treated like shit and accused for supporting an abuser by the hysterical masses. Because that's who you are if you are against whatever the ex's name is or dont speak up about it at all. And like dont speak up immediately too. You have to have a quick response or there will literally be a ripple effect of cancellations cause if you dont say anything then you are a bad person too. And all i hear from the social media smucks are Wahhhhhh.wahhhhhhhh you're bad if you support so and so! But i already made my side so im a good person wahhhhhhhh

And no, im not even enteraining shit like this anymore when she goes "uwu, i'm finally coming out on social media to spread awareness that my famous ex boyfriend (and it is ALWAYS at the height of their popularity, remember that) used to abuse and bruise me." Like sure- the benefit of doubt for the female victim blah blah but she's like- "oh but this is based on my experience and I'm just here to spread awareness. Anyway, I'm going to hang out with my friends now after dumping that clusterfuck on the internet. Bye~." Like everyone in their collective minds won't go after him and demand answers then judge his response and then turn on him anyways cause lemme be honest, when has an internet open apology ever worked? It never has. And now she has put the spotlight on him, his pr team is scrambling for an escape, he's probably messaging her behind the scenes going what the hell, and his family and friends who wont actively denounce him will be sent death threats. Just like Forever. Forever mi amor. Ah. I miss you bibi.

Anyway, girlie knew she was setting the hounds on him and acted like she didnt. Like she was just going to say her piece and dip. Like the internet wasn't going to explode. Like what the fuck? Whatever her intentions were, whether she was abused or not, she wanted this. She didnt want to get him before he got famous or even during dsmp. She wanted to do this now. For some reason it had to be now. I guess in her mind the bigger they are...

It's always the same.... goes on social media. Verbally accused with no physical evidence. Leaves. The man is left flounder in the mob of social media. Repeat.

And damn, this really makes me doubt Cellbit's ex now like- im starting to really not believe any of them anymore. Cause these cancellations are just all so convientely timed!!! Forever at the height of his lore, Cellbit's weird ex comes out of nowhere with a heavy hitter accusation, but thankfully my guy predicts this and was able to deflect that one with his PHYSICAL EVIDENCE, and now Wilbur's ex is breaking out the easy 'he abused me~' song. Like why are you all still falling for this? Why? Why? Why? Why?!

And hell, i might be a hundred percent wrong, but you might be too, so might aimsey and ranboo and tubbo. This chick might be a sweet angel that didnt mean to release an innocent criminal accusation on her famous ex, oh no~ but like, i dont even care if im wrong and am acting like a jackass.

They cancelled Forever and my man was not a pedo. I stand by that. I'll stand by it until there is a literal mugshot of him commiting said crime. Or literally any lick or shroud of physical evidence! Anything instead of the basic she said he said nonsense. The Forever texts were gross but i've already determined what I have understood from that girl Sol's response. And I've explained it on my tumblr hear before. Right here :)

And these remaining qsmp idiots can be cancelled for all i care at this point. For staying quiet and letting their friend fall into a pit of vipers. I think its hilarious if they all got cancelled. Ive already seperated art from the artist with all of them after what they did to Forever. The only one I didnt do that to WAS Forever.

But they let that shit happen, they let my man get labeled as a pedo, so they reap what they sow.

And yeah i may be a hypocrite and still post qsmp stuff, but like whatever :P. I lost my mind months ago cause of circumstances and Forever was one of the few things keeping me afloat. Pacfit is cute but it barely holds much in the shipping department, the lore might as well be dead cause many have left or were cancelled or have to deal with the aftermath of their friends being cancelled or leaving. And just it looks like not many people are on and that quackity tried to commercialize it with purgatory 2. Bringing all these new people and having storylines abandoned left and right. Then forever got canceled and quackity chose to throw his friend under the bus (doesnt even matter if forever secretly asked him to) and protect his project which was his first mistake. Now all these creators are getting picked off one by one because of their past relationships. Insteading of standing unified together.

And i will laugh at all of you stupid fucks who whined and cried that ohhh noooo, my favorite creator is a bad person with little evidence, and just the one side talking about it. And it doesnt matter if Wilbur said that was a consensual kink they shared and they met on www.bitemynipple.org, he will be framed as the bad guy, with whatever she said. My god. The fact that everyone takes this shit at face value and dont question anything, and quickly announce that they hate the guy to prove that they are a good person is insane.

Like holy shit, tubbo, ranboo, aimsey, and others. You jumped on him so quickly and literally ranked and ripped apart his apology like it was supposed to win some literary award, the fuck? Transformers Prime/TFP Decepticons as Sparklings💕

A/N: I've thought about this idea for a while after the Autobot headcanons of this, and now I decided to write it. And some of them can be short, GIFs do not belong to me, credits go to the original creators, (some of them were from google) lastly, they may seem OOC😭🤧

Warnings: Light injuries, Mention Bullying but nothing too far, I guess a bit of angst?, and, Fluff.

Megatron; Now be ready to handle him, because he's going to be one of the hardest sparklings to take care of. Megatron's a big meanie to other sparklings, he'll consider bullying them if they get in his way. So make sure that whenever he's near someone else, be with him if you don't want chaos to happen. Don't even get him a babysitter, you're the only one he trusts when it comes to taking care of him since you are his original guardian. Though to improve his mood, give him lots of love and affection despite how he doesn't like cuddles. It's better to initiate physical contact when he's not angry unless you want your hand to have bite marks.

Starscream; He's kind of a brat. Starscream can be disobedient and rude especially when he screams or throw tantrums. Primus, just like Megatron needs to be watched at times, mostly when he's with other sparklings. He'll pick on them and maybe steal their stuff away. You can teach him a lesson of Discipline when he gets too ignorant. It takes a long for him to learn things, mainly if he chooses not to listen to you. But he does love getting praise and affection from you, it makes him feel happy, even if he's a bit cocky about it. You can tell that he wants your attention alone at times because he gets jealous of you spending time with someone else other than him, he'll even glare or scream at them.

Soundwave; A very quiet sparkling that it's kind off hard to tell how he feels or what he wants. He's not one to show his feelings so truly. Like you don't know if he feels happy, sad, or, angry. But you can understand him just by seeing how he acts. Especially when you both are in public places with other sparklings. He'll cling to you or by your side. Because he doesn't want to chat or play with them, he'd rather let himself be alone. Well, except for you of course. Even if he won't express his emotions freely, he loves that you give him affection and love. He gets very joyful that a smiley face or a heart sign appears on his visor. <3 Soundwave returns your affections by using his small noodle arms to hug you in return, making you giggle as you both snuggle together.

Shockwave; He's a very observant sparkling to say. No matter how small things can be he'd still be interested in them. So it doesn't take much for him to be bored, just by seeing how easily interested he can be in small things. Just be careful though, he may get curious about things that he shouldn't know. I see him also wanting to meet other sparklings, the only problem is that he can't walk properly at it may take some time for bots like him to only have one optic. His antenna twitches if he's happy or excited about something, it looks so adorable <3. Shockwave does not give affection or hugs to you, but he does like receiving them from you. If he's happy while you snuggle him, you can again see his antenna twitching once more.

Breakdown; A sparkling who can be so Prideful of himself. He's someone who'd be very competitive with other sparklings. He may act strong and tough, but he can be a total sweetspark. Only with you, he'll act sweet. He reminds you how much he loves you by showing affection and love or giving some gifts to you while having a bold smile on his faceplates. "Sire/Carrier, Here's a gift for you!" He'd say happily. Breakdown is the type to mostly rudely treat others if they ever show disrespectfulness to you, he feels like he needs to protect you. I see him being giddy if you ever inflict affection on him. Seeing you happy already makes Breakdown more than happy, because he loves you.

Knockout; Please, he's the type of sparkling to freak out if he ever sees a spider or bug. He'll run to you crying or babbling, saying that he's scared of it, and wants it to be gone. Knockout's also afraid of the dark, he'll cling to you while crying so loudly. You can calm him down by singing him a lullaby or something. He can fall into recharge if you do, but hey, at least he's not crying anymore. Knockout is the type to act like a fashion model, while he poses as he looks at himself in a mirror. It's really cute when he's calm as he can be. He's playful and active. He gets nervous when he sees strangers, he'll hide behind you or just hug you. You're one of the people he deeply trusts. He gets very cheery when you give him attention or you praise him.

Skyquake and Dreadwing;

These two are inseparable. Despite how they are twins, they have different personalities. Dreadwing is mostly who is more obedient and attentive. While Skyquake is reckless and at times he can be irresponsible. But Skyquake looks up to his brother, so luckily he follows his actions. Make sure to give both sparklings the same treatment of affection and love. Because if one receives more attention, they'll get jealous and will start a fight with each other. The two twins love to spend time with you. They both feel contented if you give them equal treatment of care and love. Like let's say you guys are snuggling together and you praise them? They couldn't be more than grateful, as they return the same to you. I know they're the type to team up if they want to show you a surprise, and gets jolly when you tell them that you love it.

Predaking; At a young stage, he can't fly or breathe fire strongly. It's only when he gets older he can learn how to do them well. He likes being pet or scratched by you. It makes him feel happy as he lets out low purrs from it. Predaking is an energetic sparkling so he takes naps often for him to recover his energy. Whenever he wants attention from you, he'll give you puppy eyes as he whimpers, and Primus he's looks so cute when he does that. Sometimes, when he gets way too excited he'll breathe out fire and will accidentally burn something. If he feels sad or lonely he'll wail loudly until you calm him down. Predaking loves it when you give him affection and attention, he purrs happily as he rests in your arms.

Billy's Story Is About Recovering Lost Innocence (Billy's Sexuality: An Overview)

Billy's sexuality is a subject of debate in fandom, and for good reason. The guy's a mess. He's clearly fighting against something, all while putting on a hypersexual womanizer persona. And so far, we've gotten no concrete answers. Is he secretly gay? Did something happen to him?? What the hell is going on?

In this series I'll sketch out what I think is happening: why Billy's so tortured, how his sexuality comes into play, and what we can expect for his story moving forward. Because yes, I do consider this topic more evidence for his return. His arc isn't finished!

Please keep in mind my only goal is to give my best answer to the question, "What's the show doing?" You may have a different answer, and that's okay. Most importantly, I am not judging anyone's preferences, headcanons, ships, or fan creations. You can ship Billy with whoever you damn well please. You can also have your own opinion on what the show should do with him. Even if we agree on what it's actually doing, that doesn't mean you have to find it satisfying.

And that's the beauty of fandom. It's creative, collaborative, and transformative. However you interpret the show, you have the power to respond as a creator in your own right. You can say, "Hey, there's potential here," or "I don't like how they handled that," then go explore with no one else's permission. Canon ain't the Bible, and you're not a heretic for having your own views.

Okay. Everybody comfortable? Got a hot beverage? Here we go~~

My theory: Billy's journey is about turning away from a false, oversexed persona to reclaim his lost innocence.

I base this on several lines of argument. I'll summarize them here, but each will take a LOT of analysis to establish. Since I'll have to do that in future posts, I beg your patience and understanding.

The Argument, Summarized

1. Billy is driven by one wound above all others. He believes he was a pussy as a kid, and because of that, he wasn't able to protect his mom from Neil. Because he couldn't protect her, he lost her. The show tells us this story via his memories (one of the most crucial scenes for his character).

2. He's afraid it could happen again with someone else he loves. He's still a pussy, after all - still that little kid inside. So the threat isn't over. It's always with him, a sword hanging over his head. (We see this play out with Max especially.)

3. Billy thinks being a pussy means showing any sign of softness. Compassion, love, romance, and friendship are all suspect. If he wants to avoid a repeat of the past, he must reject them.

4. Billy's interest in women is genuine,* but because he can't be a pussy, he only lets himself express it in rigid, hypermasculine ways. Sexual conquest is okay and even encouraged. Feelings are not. Women can be tools for his gratification, nothing more. This leads to a profound loneliness.

(*This doesn't have to mean he's straight, fyi! Bi and pan men are also interested in women)

5. Because Billy's so lonely, he overcompensates. He doesn't just separate feelings from sex; he hypes up his sexuality until it's the first thing you notice. He sculpts his body, shows it off, and practices his moves in the mirror, all so girls will fall at his feet. If enough of them do it, maybe he'll stop feeling so damn lonely.

By my theory, his journey will go something like this:

From...

oversexed

hostile

afraid to express any feelings other than anger

consumed by trauma and guilt

To...

balanced sexuality

open to connection

expressing the full range of human emotion

healing from his trauma

letting go of the guilt

It begins at Starcourt. Stirred by the memory of his mother, Billy takes the first step to free the little boy locked inside. Hence why he looks so youthful when he stands up to the Mind Flayer. The boy is out of his cage.

This is the foundational tension of his character: the oversexed monster-man vs the inner child.

• lance choses his room first because he's pretty overwhelmed by the whole situation

• one minute he's seeing what pidge is up to with hunk back at the garrison

• the next, he's flying in a mechanical blue lion, meeting alteans in some castle on another planet

• he needed some alone time to think things over

• him, hunk, pidge, shiro and ugh- mullet head, are supposed to become the paladins of voltron?

• it was a lot to take in

• when could he see his family?

• would they possibly take a pit stop to earth?

• his family doesn't have a clue on where he is

• keith is following not far behind and notices which bedroom lance chooses

• he looks around the hall as if someone would be there to judge his decision

• and chooses the room right beside lance's

• not because he wanted some excuse to be near lance of course to possibly get rid of the whole rivalry thing

• it just...happened accidentally

• he finds himself regretting his decision

• when lance finds out he's a little taken back, assuming he'd choose a room next to shiro's

• he wasn't going to admit this either because they're rivals 😤

• but he was a bit happy to have keith's room near his

• and would hide how he really feels with a "god. i can't believe mr. drop out PURPOSELY choose his room next to mine just to bug the shit out of me, smh."

• keith's response to that would be something like: "ha...yeah, cause i hate you. a lot. there's no other reason why i choose that room. nope. not at all."

• lance gets obnoxious by blasting music in his bedroom purposely during random times of the day, singing along with the songs

• keith either kicks the wall (which does nothing)

• or comes in the room with his knife held up high

• because of their rooms being together, they're told to wake each other up

• keith ends up having to wake up lance more other than vice versa

• he walks into the room, awkwardly standing there and just kind of staring before actually attempting to wake him up

• he slides lance's headphones down gently and nudges his shoulder

• lance only mumbles, reaching out to grab keith's arm

• keith has a small gay panic and ends up yelling his name, yanking his arm away

• which freaks the fuck out of lance

• he doesn't shut up about how keith "aggressively woke me up like the castle was on fire! i thought getting older meant i wouldn't get crazy wake up calls like the one's my siblings would do."

• the rare and i mean rare times when lance wakes keith up

• lance will barley touch keith's shoulder and he jolts awake, grabbing his knife from under the pillow

• some nights when keith wakes up, due to a nightmare, he hears the gentle yet muffled from a guitar coming from lance's room

• sometimes he'll even hear him singing softly

• it soothes keith, making it easier for him to fall back asleep

• one time keith accidentally walks in on lance playing the guitar during the day

• he sorta freezes up but relaxes his shoulders after a moment

• they just sort of stare at each other in awkward silence

• keith: you know- i've heard you play before- not to sound creepy or anything...and uh, you're pretty good

lance: really? thanks man. playing usually helps me cope when i'm down in the dumps and has just become a hobby of mine

• then lance gives keith the softest smile ever that makes keith's heart pump as if he'd just ran laps around the castle

• he makes up a lame excuse to leave

• lance frowns at his sudden excuse and assumes he'd said the wrong things and starts apologizing

• keith waves him off, apologizing himself, telling lance he wouldn't mind hearing him play some more

• so lance offers he sits across from him as he played

• lance explains the song he's playing was his mothers favorite song, singing the lyrics in spanish

• keith had no idea what he was saying, but that didn't matter

• what mattered was the joy displayed on his face as he sung, confidence shining through his eyes

• at this moment keith had come to realize that his crush he had on lance might be something more

this one went from klance having rooms next to each other to keith pinning over lance playing the guitar- whoops
