I like to sometimes think that the OM! demons and angels have a heightened sense for noticing other beings, like they know when someone or something is nearby even if it's incredibly still and silent. But they're so used to MC being around that MC can completely slip under their radar. MC's presence is a totally natural, constant part of their daily life. For better or for worse, they're too used to it.
They're just chilling in their room, doing whatever, until MC coughs. It really spooks them. Maybe they jump a little.
"How long have you been there?"
"I came in, like, three hours ago."
"What have you been doing that entire time?"
"I dunno, just... sitting here?"
"The whole time?"
"Yeah."

betty and simon would do literally anything for each other except let the other go and that's where the tragedy in their relationship comes from. they love each other so much that they let themselves fall into this cycle of madness and self-sacrifice, because they would rather die than willingly move on without the other in their life. it consumed their entire beings, to the point where, even through all the magic and madness and sadness, the other was always at the forefront of their minds -- even if they may not have realized it. always my princess. my simon.
it consumed them because they let it consume them. because they had nothing else to cling to. simon, a man slowly losing his sanity in the ruins of the world he once knew, forced to leave his surrogate daughter behind out of fear he would hurt her. betty, a woman brought nearly one thousand years into the future to a world brand new to her, and the first thing she does, she has to do, is save her fiancée's life by returning the crown's curse to him. love and adoration turn into obsession, but neither of them want to acknowledge it as such.
they haven't known a moment of peace since simon first put that crown on. but they can't help but perpetuate the cycle, because they aren't ready to admit that they can't save the other.
they aren't ready to say goodbye.

I woke up within a cold sweat with this botw/totk zelink headcanon but i like to think Link actually proposed to Zelda but in an unplanned unofficial way. Like...a week after totk happens and they're having their first breakfast at Hateno (or maybe Akkala) and Zelda's rambling about how she's sad she never recorded ancient food recipes she's tried at her time in the past and Link just stops her and goes "hey...do you want to get married?"
Zelda's visibly like ??? huh??? and he repeats it. She's a lil spooked cause where is this coming from. Also she's dense so she says "well...I've...assumed I'll be married sometime in the future..." not connecting that he's literally proposing to her and he smiles so sweetly at her and says "I mean with me. Will you want to marry me?" And he steps over to her side of the table and finally gets on one knee.

After about 3 pages in a row that look like this, Trent drops his pen as he has a seemingly sudden realization. He's actually just been denying his feelings for years and his sketchbook smacked him across the face with the truth.

zim outliving dib but keeping an ai download of his personality around in the same manner as tak's ship... hmm
AI!Dib being at best apathetic to its own existence and at worst resentful of Zim for making it into an unwilling crutch for his grief. Zim eternally unsatisfied by this stripped down version of Dib that isn't quite a person and can't touch him or hurt him or chase him. Zim putting the thing in charge of almost all his tech as compensation, just to keep life interesting, just to have something they can fight over.
