just to double down on this post about Gortash making Raphael his entire persona, you can't look at the concept art and tell me that Gortash's color scheme isn't super influenced by Raphael's concept art?!

Especially those three get me:

The sleeves that go down to their elbows with prominent gauntlets covering their forearms.

The high collars framing their faces.

The tucked-in pants and the adorned boots.

The signature belt holding it together.

The red flames accentuating different parts of the outfit.

The deep neckline of their black, loosely laced-up shirt.

The mass of gold, and black, and red.

The diagonal accent across their waist.

The striped pants.

The many, many details?

Obviously those didn't make it into the game for Raphael but I like to headcanon that Gortash saw those wardrobes in the House of Hope and went: fuck you devil, I'm gonna do you one better. And that's how he ended up with a flame decal on his shirt, ugly-ass boots, and an outfit worth a small town's income for a year. And then he never cared to maintain it.
