Could you do a fluff imagine where Evan is starting to film Dahmer and his mental health isn’t the best and y/n is helping cheer him by visiting him on set, being there for him at home, etc?
Yes so this is kinda short I wanted to write longer I now have work so I apologise I couldn’t write more like I originally intended to do.
You need a break (Evan peters x Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: Evan’s mental health had took a toll since filming dahmer so you decided to cheer him up
Warnings: fluff, mentions of mental health, filming the dahmer series, mentions of Jeffrey dahmer
Word count, 1.2k
•¤❅¤•.•°˚˚°•..•°˚˚°•.•¤❅¤•.•¤❅¤•.•°˚˚°•.
The cold wind clouded around you as you made your way through the busy streets of lox angeles county. Two cups of coffee secured in a cardboard cup holder in hand. You set out to visit your boyfriend Evan peters on set hoping to cheer him up and make his day somewhat better.
You knew that some of his newer roles took a toll on his mental health after playing Kai Anderson in American horror story, but with his newest role of the infamous serial killer Jeffrey dahmer he was spiralling into the darkness once again. You couldn't blame him when he has a role he researches the role non-stop and detaches himself from his co-workers to get into the character.
It was unhealthy but it was his strategy for this role. You just wished he picked something more healthier for his own mentality. You walked on to the set luckily they were on a break, you searched for Evan but you bumped into Niecy Nash, "hey y/n you looking for Evan" she asked giving you a polite smile. "Hey yeah have you seen him I can't find him" you replied the cups of coffee slowly getting colder in your hand.
"Have you tried his dressing room?" She suggested pointing to the end room you thanked her wishing her luck on set before heading to the dressing room labelled peters, you knocked on the door incase he was busy. "Come in" you heard his voice through the door with your free hand you let yourself in seeing Evan on a chair scrolling through his phone doing more research on his role so he wouldn't miss a thing.
"Hey babe" you smiled placing a chaste kiss on his cheek. "Hey thank you" he smiles as you handed him the Starbucks cup. "So how was it today?" You asked striking up a conversation. "A bit stressful trying to portray the role but got there in the end just doing more research so I get it just right" he sighs clearly in another world right now.
"Maybe take this as a breather to be Evan for a moment instead of focusing on being dahmer for a while". Evan nodded his head at your words but you knew he wouldn't take your advice. "I can't what if I can't get back into the character or mess up the scenes I can't risk it" he protested you let out a soft sigh taking a sip of your bitter caffeinated drink.
"I'm just looking out for you Evan I mean look what happened before and this is a more serious and sinister role, I don't want you to spiral again." Your voice was low almost a whisper. Evan knew that you were looking out for him, he knew it wasn't fair on his own health and for you too but it was his job.
"I know you're just looking out for me and I'm appreciative of that don't think I'm not I am, it's just it's not fair on you having to worry about me" he said running his hand down his face in frustration. "What kind of girlfriend would I be if I wasn't" you teased to lighten the mood a little which kind of worked since he let out a small smile.
"Ryan says we get a break for a few days next week you know for a breather" Evan informed you let out a smile nodding your head. "Well tell you what we'll stay home I'll for a few days off of work and we can just stay at home and relax how does that sound?" You offered since Evan started filming the series you barely had time for yourselves at all. You've been busy with work and Evan with the show only time you both really saw a glimpse of each other was going to bed and waking up in the mornings.
"Sounds great" he smiled at you placing a kiss on your lips. "Right I better get going I was only on an hour break but I'll ask my boss for that little break next week and I'm all yours" you said before placing another gentle goodbye kiss on your boyfriends lips. "I love you" you heard him say behind you. Turning your head facing him once again "I love you too Evan" you smiled leaving him in the dressing room.
———
The next week came long you were in the kitchen doing some laundry folding the clean clothes up and throwing the dirty ones in the washing machine. Waiting on Evan finishing filming the final scene before his few days off. You wanted the place to comfortable for him so he can take this time to relax.
You spent the day making sure everything was perfect for him. Buying all his favourite snacks and treats for him coming home, you had planned on spending the evening in bed watching movies and stuffing your faces with food. Once you were finished with all the laundry you had some time to space you decided to order some take out from Evan’s favourite place while you waited for him to come home.
About twenty minutes later Evan walked into the door feeling exhausted. Tossing his keys into the little trinket dish you laid by the door sluggishly walking into the living room running a hand over his face. “Hey babe” he smiled lightly seeing you sat on the sofa with some tea. “Hey how you feeling?” You asked noticing his tired expression. “Alright just want to relax with you for the next few days” he sighs plopping down on the sofa resting his head on your lap.
Your fingers played with his hair, his eyes closed feeling more relaxed leaning into your touch. “I went out and bought your favourite snacks and I got takeout from your favourite place, I was thinking we could watch a movie and just have a very chill night” you said now holding his face in your hand’s running your thumb along his cheek bones. Evan smiled nodding his head at you. “Sound amazing babe”.
And if so it was clockwork the doorbell sung it’s little tune. You and Evan got up to answer. “Evan you sit I’ll get it” you instructed he complied sitting himself back on the sofa. You went to the door thanking the delivery driver and tipping him extra closing the door. “Dinner is served” you said setting the food on the coffee table.
After dinner you and Evan went into bed with all your snacks putting a movie on. You both cuddled up stuffing your faces with popcorn. It was relaxing and you noticed it lifted Evan’s mood his mind wasn’t thinking about work anymore. “Thank you I really needed this” Evan smiled looking down at you.
“No need to thank me Evan, I’m just glad your taking a break you deserve it” you replied meeting his gaze pressing your lips on his momentarily. you focused on the movie for another ten minutes till you heard light snoring you turned your head seeing Evan out cold his arm still over your shoulder. You couldn’t help but smile to yourself gently getting out his grasp to put all the snacks away and turn the tv off. You climbed back into bed cuddling Evan drifting into peaceful slumber.

Any new upcoming series with w/w?
Lol, I had a whole answer typed up and almost completed last night, I could only remember a few upcoming shows but added a bunch of ongoing and recent with descriptions and then the post editor hiccuped and removed most of it so I angrily went to sleep instead.
But maybe that was for the best, because this morning a video of upcoming f/f shows in April came out so now I can add a few more.
There's Dead Ringers, that show with Rachel Weisz playing twin gynecologists and since it's a genderbent adaptation of an existing movie we already know it's gonna be super messy. It would be pretty wild for Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies to not have some wlw and luckily it does, the trailer itself reveals a couple. Tiny Beautiful Things, with Kathryn Hahn and Sarah Pidgeon (Leah in The Wilds) playing her younger self, apparently Kathryn Hahn's character's daughter is queer. Slip is a kinda scifi, where a bored wife cheats on her husband and realizes every time she has sex with someone, she wakes up married to them. The show's about her trying to get back to her original life, and there are a series of different husbands, but also a few wives (also, the first "replacement" husband is played by Boorman's actor from Willow!). There are also the upcoming Thai dramas Be Mine, Reverse 4 You, and 23.5, as previously mentioned.
In terms of returning series coming back, there's the Disney cartoon The Owl House, getting its final ep. Single Drunk Female's second season is returning soon. It has a bi lead, and she did have a female love interest but it was pretty temporary compared to the will they/won't she has with the main character male love interest. Her Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor, also a very main character, is a lesbian, and she's married but her wife's actress is a regular on another show now so I dunno if she'll be back.
Welcome to Eden, a Spanish thriller about people trapped on an island with a cult, ended the first season on a major cliffhanger so it'll be exciting to see what happens now, though it feels like anyone could die so that's a bit nerve-wracking. It has a lot of different kinds of rep, f/f, m/m, trans, one of the gay guys is deaf too and it's a plot point that his boyfriend won't learn sign even though his friends have.
The Epix series From is a pretty well done horror series about people trapped in a town and who get hunted at night, it's more ominous and suspenseful than outright gory. It actually has three wlw, though one is mostly with one guy, the one who's engaged to a woman outside the town seems to be about to start a romance with another guy, and one is a teen who's crushing on the first woman, feels unrequited. I didn't know about any of them when I started, so they're a bonus, the show itself is rather compelling.
As for current shows, The Power (lol, get it, current) started last night on Prime, it's nice that after the misreading of Class of '07, this new show about girls does immediately have a wlw. Gap's already finished but it made such a splash, if you haven't watched, I'll mention it again. The other Thai drama, Show Me Love, is still airing. Fantasy Island is honestly kind of sweet, it feels like one of those '90s shows, episodic, bright colors and optimism, and great guest stars. One of the two leads, I'd say, or at least the second billed main, is queer.
We got our three firefighter shows, 9-1-1 with a solid (now) established relationship, Fire Country, a lesbian character but not much screentime, and of course Station 19, which is honestly winning me back in a huge way with their current storyline (if they land it).
Cop wlw update (why are there so many of them!): NCIS Hawai'i remains super cute, especially when Lucy is on, looks like Ayanna on Law & Order: Organized Crime got herself a new gf with a super hot voice, The Rookie: Feds still has Niecy Nash playing a super likable and bi lead. I couldn't stand the egregious copaganda in FBI: Most Wanted, and like, imagine how bad it'd have to be, when I can still watch all the rest of these shows, but Sheryll's still there, so. Sin Huellas (No Traces) has already finished but gets another mention for being as funny as it was, with a cute, hot couple at the center. Rabbit Hole's just started, but the initial antagonist/probable grudging ally's an FBI lady who within the first 10 minutes of the first ep dropped that she had a wife. Van der Valk has started its third season and though I'm gonna keep hoping Lucienne's INCREDIBLY hot ex from 2x03 returns, Lucienne, second billed, is plenty hot by herself. Ariana Guerra, who played the novitiate in Helstrom, has joined the second season of CSI: Vegas. Her character's bi and has a main character boyfriend but he seems like he'll most likely end up with a different character.
I'm not really going through these in any particular order, except combining the above two types, but let me just blow through the rest of the ongoing shows: the Canadian family comedy Run the Burbs has been quite sweet in how it's written the teen daughter, How I Met Your Father comes across as an old fashioned sitcom, except one of the characters is a lesbian. It's kind of fun in its familiarity and low stakes. I didn't expect to be as drawn into The Watchful Eye as I did, the trailer felt quite soapy and it was, at times, but all the nannies were great, and I ended up quite liking the f/f side couple. It's amazing what actual personalities can do. :o A Million Little Things is winding down its final season and Grace Park's character is engaged to Cameron Esposito's character so it feels pretty endgame at this point.
If you didn't watch or stopped watching Carnival Row because the main m/f relationship seemed so especially trite, you maaaay want to give it another look. I'm not nearly caught up with Bel-Air, but in the first season they wrote Ashley's sexuality really well, especially since she's so young. I'm sure you can't have missed my Perry Mason gifsets by now, but I can only reiterate what a great character Della Street is. One of the kids in Gotham Knights is bi (and her brother is trans!) but I'm not sure it's worth getting invested before cancellation. Unless the CW is only going to keep projects involving the Supernatural trio?
At this point, hoping everyone who's into wlw has at least tried Yellowjackets or is aware enough of it to know they don't want to try it. Las Pelotaris 1926 is a Spanish language historical drama about female athletes playing--well, the sport is basque pelota but if you need a reference point, it's like squash or racquetball. If you haven't yet caught up with RWBY, now would be an okay time. Lastly, I've still never watched any of Riverdale or even Choni clips, but its final season has just started and you know, I gotta respect the longevity of whatever they've been doing with them, however up and down they seem to have been, and perhaps this final season will be an up. From what I've seen on SM, they seem to get endgame soulmatey treatment more than any of the other ships and I can respect that.
Aside from the Thai dramas that might air after April and a few of the other shows that ended their seasons in March (or February in Gap's case), all of these have eps airing this month. After this year of cancellations, I think it's worth enjoying what we can, even as we acknowledge how much lead/main character rep and longevity we're losing. :o

It's like looking in a mirror! I'll be honest, the comparison between Chenford and Brensen pulled me into The Rookie: Feds. Well, them and Niecy Nash-Bett because she can do no wrong.
I need this scene to be Laura and Tim being absolutely annoyed with the fact that Lucy had to get a photo with Brendon, and Brendon had to take the photo for Lucy.
And I know I'm not the first person to say they want that to happen, so imagine the fan response if it does.
Tell me that's not the energy emanating from these photos! I'm obsessed.
Smart of The Rookie: Feds for making a crossover with two of The Rookie's most popular characters. That will surely bump up ratings.

Awards show emcees aren’t required to know how to dance but Trevor Donovan and Danica McKellar certainly are ready to trip the light fantastic on March 7 as hosts of the 31st Annual MovieGuide Awards. The two are past contenders for Mirrorball glory on Dancing With the Stars. She competed in Season 18 and came in sixth place; more recently, he competed in Season 31 and also came in sixth place.
“I’m honored and flattered that they asked me to host because this isn’t in my wheelhouse,” Donovan tells TV Insider. “I’ve never hosted anything. I’m a little nervous, but we rehearsed and I’m excited to see how it goes.”
McKellar brings some hosting experience to the 31st MovieGuide Awards. “I’ve hosted the National Inventors Hall of Fame Awards in Washington D.C.,” she says. “It’s a huge event, but it’s not televised. I do love entertaining audiences. I have made my whole career about doing positive, family-friendly, uplifting entertainment.”
A dozen awards are set to be handed out in categories including “Most Inspiring Movie,” “Most Inspiring TV Program,” “Best Movie for Families,” “Best Movie for Mature Audiences,” and “Grace Award for Most Inspiring Performance for Movies.”
McKellar had two movies for Great American Family in 2023. She starred in Swinging Romance, which featured DWTS pro Gleb Savchenko. “I got to do two dances with Gleb,” McKellar says, “and I was also in A Royal Date for Christmas.”

The actress says there were preliminary discussions of her guesting on the reboot of The Wonder Years (she played Winnie in the OG version) but, alas, the show was canceled before anything could be finalized. “It would have been nice,” she says with a smile. “I would have had to have played someone else, but we talked about it.”
Donovan also had two films for GAF in 2023 – ’Twas the Text Before Christmas and A Harvest Homecoming. He’s set to appear next in Reagan, starring Dennis Quaid (Far From Heaven) in the title role. The movie tells the story of the late U.S. President from childhood to his time in the Oval Office. Donovan plays John Barletta, a real-life Secret Service Agent, who passed away in 2018.
The actor says he’ll be as surprised as viewers will be, in some ways, when the movie premieres. “I didn’t really get to read the whole script,” he says. “I did get to learn about my character and his relationship with the Secret Service. His whole life story is very interesting.”
Coming in sixth place on a competitive show like DWTS is no easy feat. Would McKellar and Donovan be open to popping in as a guest judge like past contestant Niecy Nash did last season?
“I love that show,” McKellar responds. “I’d do a guest dance or be a guest judge – whatever. If they wanted me, I’d go back.” A bonus would be getting to see her pro dance partner, Valentin Chmerkovskiy. “Val and Jenna [Johnson Chmerkovskiy] are really good parents. [Their son] Rome is the cutest.”
“I’d definitely consider coming back as a guest judge,” says Donovan says about returning to the DWTS ballroom, wryly adding, “As long as they know I don’t know what I’m doing!” Pshaw. Donovan and pro partner Emma Slater were genuine contenders in a highly competitive season. “I’d definitely entertain the idea,” he adds.

The End is the Beginning is the End. We put the Golden Globes back in the doghouse and look forward to the last batch of awards shows to close out the film awards season. The SAG awards nominations were announced today, the BAFTAs will be announced on Jan. 19th and the Oscars on Jan. 24th so there will be more fashion to look forward to. I hope those red carpet looks will be more impressive than the Golden Globes.
Donald Glover in Saint Laurent *Best dressed man of the night. No competition. Suave, sexy, love the moustache. The entire look is gold.
Tumblr media
Diego Calva in Gucci *Second favourite male look of the night. I adore it! It has a retro vibe which is fitting as he's the star of BABYLON. Love the cut and colour. He looks amazing.
Tumblr media
Laverne Cox in John Galliano *I was saying during last year's award season how former awards staples Marchesa (Georgina Chapman, former wife of Harvey Weinstein) and John Galliano will never seemingly be embraced again, and while it is not a new design as Galliano is still in Designer Jail, Cox reached back in the vault for this vintage Galliano gown and it's the best she's ever looked. She looks sensational.
Tumblr media
Lily James in Versace *One thing Lily James is going to do besides have an affair with her costar, is look great on the red carpet.
Tumblr media
Angela Bassett in Pamella Roland. *Love this quasi nod to Old Hollywood look. Very glam.
Tumblr media
Barry Keoghan in Louis Vuitton *I'm torn about the neckerchief/bow tie gone wrong, so it must mean in my heart of hearts that I like it. The look gives me Guy-Running-From-the-Garda-Runs-Into-Costume-Shop-And-Puts-On-Bullfighter-Costume.
Tumblr media
Rihanna in Schiaparelli Couture.
*Bad Girl Ri-Ri didn't walk the red carpet and could, seemingly, be seen exiting the event early after congratulating her competition, MM Keeravani whose "Naatu, Naatu" won.
Tumblr media
MORE FASHION
Billy Porter in Christian Siriano
Tumblr media
Ayo Edebiri in Rosie Assoulin *Now she knows those gloves are a mistake. It's like when Andre Leon Talley (RIP) dressed Jennifer Hudson the year she won her Oscar and gave her a great dress with pockets (yes) but put her in a bolero (no).
Tumblr media
Letitia Wright in Prada
Tumblr media
Ana de Armas in Louis Vuitton
Tumblr media
Newly married Anya Taylor Joy in Dior
Tumblr media
Jenna Ortega in Gucci *That's too much dress. In consideration of her height everything should have been shorter - hem, sleeves. It would have been even better to modify it to a sleeveless dress. Her hair colour looks great with the dress, though.
Tumblr media
Jeremy Pope
Tumblr media
Jessica Chastain in Oscar de la Renta *This dress is like the film THE GOOD NURSE. Good, but basic.
Tumblr media
Eddie Redmayne in Valentino *He's looking as if he just caught his reflection and wondered WTF his stylist was on to put that on him. The flower should be burned and it would have been nice if he had on black shoes to not look so monochromatic and the pants are too long. The only brown clothes he needs to be in is Thom Browne.
Tumblr media
Niecy Nash in Dolce & Gabbana *People should just embrace capes and go. This puffy floor length wrap nonsense is for the birds. The plum-colour dress is gorgeous and the wrap just distracts.
Tumblr media
Margot Robbie in Chanel *Please get this woman a better stylist. Someone adventurous; someone to take her out her comfort zone. Nice dress, but underwhelming.
Tumblr media
Sheryl Lee Ralph in Aliette. *My favourite female look of the night. Colourful, hair fits the look.
Tumblr media
Britt Lower in Bach Mai
Tumblr media
Bailey Bass (AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER and the fantastic INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE (AMC+) in Dior *It's a great dress for sure - though I wish it was either an empire waist or it was a two-piece with the top being a corset, but barring that, I wish she would have gone with how her hair is in IWTV. If she wore her naturally curly hair it would look so great framing her face.
Tumblr media
Viola Davis in Jason Wu
Tumblr media
Michelle Yeoh in Armani Prive *Exquisite.
Tumblr media
Salma Hayek in Gucci *Of all the Gucci designs at her disposal she went with this??? I have seen her in some insanely incredible Gucci designs over the years so the fact that she wore something so relatively matronly offends me.
Tumblr media
Michelle Williams in Gucci *Oh jayzus. What a disaster. It's THE SON of dresses.
Tumblr media
Pregnant Claire Danes in Giambattista Valli *I'm guessing she left the house forgetting that she was wrapped up in her quilt.
Tumblr media
Andrew Garfield in Zegna *Love the colour. I'm disappointed because I mistook the overly long psudeo-tie for a sash and thought there was some creative flair to the look. No such luck.
Tumblr media
Tyler James Williams in Amiri *He gets 10 points for not being boring. Do I love that he looks like he just come out of the rain (and considering it's been storming here for two days, maybe he did), but I love the wide legs trousers and jacket.
Tumblr media
Emma D'Arcy in Acne Studios
Tumblr media
Michaela Jae Rodriguez in Balmain

Niecy Nash following and liking Emma's posts doesn't sit right with me. IDK why but she kinda irks me as the type of person who would make fun of Evan for getting beat by a woman. Probably not meant in an evil way but just in the way she sometimes jokes about things. I just hope they never had that conversation.
i definitely hope she isn’t that way..

I tried watching The Rookie: Feds and I found that so far it wasn’t up to my tastes. To me, Niecy Nash just didn’t give me the FBI agent vibe that comes with being a tough, stern agent. She just didn’t fit the part like Harper does with her badass, tough cop thing she has. I could see how people were pointing out a potential new ship that had a Chenford vibe with the actor guy and his mentor, but that seems like something a small amount of people are noticing only for now. I might give The Rookie: Feds another shot but it just didn’t have that juicy intensity I love from a good FBI show , it still remains to be seen.

12 Shows of 2022
The new (and sometimes old) series and seasons that made my year.
Tumblr media
Law & Order (S1-12) + Law & Order: Criminal Intent + Law & Order: Los Angeles I started off the year catching the early (and Best) seasons of the mothership via cable reruns; got Peacock for CI; and then returned midyear when I was half-gone from covid and blearily endured the commercials of what was then IMDBtv for the very LA edition. While I am not technically a "geriatric millennial," I am a millennial and with geriatric interests. For me, peak television has become something that I can either focus on fully or play in the background while I do other things and be equally thoroughly entertained. That is why this franchise has become my number one comfort show.
Tumblr media
Shrink + Michael: Tuesdays Thursdays Grouping these into one because I just so happened to watch one immediately after the other, and because they're both about moderately adept therapists who are codependent with their patients. They are also both incredibly funny! These got the biggest laughs out of me than anything else all year. (A shame I didn't get to them till December.) While they are both hilarious, each manage to sweep into very heavy topics and deep emotion without toppling over. #ReviveShrink
Tumblr media
Big Love While I’m pretty sure I’ve watched more L&O than anything else this year, I’m deeming 2022 the year of sister wives. In my post marathon blues, I went surfing on HBO and turned on Big Love (after once trying the pilot a while ago and being turned off by its HBO-ness.) But this time it hit me right in the late-00's cable nostalgia. The melodrama, the humor, the cast - Mary Kay Place! It's a (new) classic for me.
Tumblr media
Grand Crew (S1) With its simple if derivative set-up, this delightful sitcom got better and better every episode! The ensemble is funny and charming, and the stories silly and fun. Thank god it snagged a renewal and will return because I will need my weekly fix of Carl Tart in between his Comedy Bang! Bang! appearances.
Tumblr media
American Auto (S1) At base level, it's just another workplace comedy with a pseudo diverse cast. And the setting of the executive floor of a car company is quite baffling. (It's not even a riff on Telsa. Neither is it too concerned with Detroit.) But it all came together during the commercial episode: During which the team spiral in heated disagreements over how to shoot a commercial that is appropriately inclusive but not too inclusive. Funny! From then on, I started to watch it from a new angle. The ensemble itself is a focus group - and every week is a new satirical debate on the weird standards of contemporary ethics. The show is at its best when it’s everyone in the conference room talking over each other in the voices of their respective demo. I still don't necessarily like it - But it does get me thinking. (About all that I wish it was!) But honestly, I'm only really including this on the list because of the perfect Cyrus played by Michael Benjamin Washington who is never not incredibly funny. He was my favorite character/performance of the year.
Tumblr media
Severance (S1) Part Office Space, part Fringe, with the style of Legion. This trippy, beautiful, and exciting drama was a dream to watch! Especially since I watched most of it in the very very early morning with a cup of coffee - the very best way to watch something creepy.
Tumblr media
Claws (S4/final) While, the finale was one of the worst I've ever seen (Niecy Nash's scenes were almost exclusively Facetimed!) - This show will go down as being one of the most iconic. The outfits, the colors, the insane swings. It was never not outrageous and gonzo. Did it always work? I don't know. But they had a Vision and Went For It! It was always a wild ride, and I had fun.
Tumblr media
Better Things (S5/final) Every year Better Things airs, it automatically gets a spot on my list. And this is the last time. A beautiful show so full of humor and love and art and great music and lots of food.
Tumblr media
Search Party (S5/final) Every season comes with a genre turn. And when this one turned, I didn't want to believe it. It wasn't until it turned to black without the Actually It Was All A Dream rewind I was expecting did it set in. I have yet to rewatch it, but when I do I'm sure I'll love it (as my experience with S3). But I do understand it. For Dory, who began the show adrift and yearning for a meaning to her life - to enact some sort of change, to literally change the world is a fitting end. (For me, S4 is the real ending and this is a bonus season.) Either way, it still earns a spot in the TV Hall of Fame. A crazy comedy with twisty mysteries. Extremely sharp and biting, confident in its hipsterness, unafraid of being unlikable - An ideal close to my heart.
Tumblr media
Sister Wives (S17) As Elizabeth Laime so astutely put it in the Sister Wives spin-off of Bitch Sesh: There is no other show in which less time was spent making it than time spent watching it. Save for the very beginning (of the end) when Robin joined the family, nothing has happened. (Save for The Catfish, and even then nothing actually happened.) But all that nothing was for the cameras. Big Happy Family propoganda. And this was the season it all fell apart. Now, too much is happening! Cody-19! Christine leaving! Robin wants to talk! Janelle needs a truck for her trailer! (To Cody's dismay) Meri is also there! The knife to the kidneys! As I said before: This was the year of the sister wives. Incredible television.
Tumblr media
Evil (S3) The beginning of this season had a lot of splitting up of the trio, which bummed me out. But it made the eventual reunion of the team that much more satisfying, and each of their individual crises of belief more affecting in their isolation. Every season is more weird, more tense, more absurd. I love it so very much!
Tumblr media
My Liberation Notes Every year I have one thing that completely consumes me. This year it was My Liberation Notes. It captured me from the very first episode: A story about a introversion and anti-socialism, when to hold on to it and when to let it go. A story about adult siblings, reared together yet all very different people seemingly in different worlds. So many existential ruminations. Plus an exceedingly slow teasing romance, barely one in the conventional sense, but deeply so as a connection of souls. All about life and its disappointments and mundanity, what beats you down and how you change, how people change you and how you change others.

Dahmer thoughts
Y’all….. Evan Peters & Niecy Nash are giving us the performance of their lives & it is INTENSE!! The are fully doing justice to the victims stories, & already had me crying the first episode. I have NEVER seen any other true crime work showcase the true, complex emotions of the victims the way they are displayed in this show. Placing us in the shoes of the survivors & victims is the only way to tell this terror filled story anymore. The fact that Dahmer’s story was used to cover up the racism & homophobia that took place along with the failure of his parents & the police department to stop him, is a heavy reflection of these still ongoing issues in our society. Though this is an ill-fated story, it humanizes the victims & survivors in a dehumanizing society. These were REAL people with REAL emotions & SOULS, & we MUST remember them over the monster who traumatized them and/or took their lives.

With the lack of progression for Chenford in season 4 and the way season 5 already seems to be going, I am really lacking hope for their story. It seems all the press is going to Feds...which is going to tank, being on the same night as FBI on CBS, in my opinion. I feel like Chenford isn't getting the attention they deserve and if season 5 has as little progress as season 4, I won't be watching. Will you?
this is so ominous, anon...definitely made me chuckle a little 😂
in short: yes i will be watching, and tbh i disagree with 95% of what you said here. there wasn't a lack of progression in season 4 – speaking from a perspective of content alone, we got more chenford interaction and growth in season 4 than any season prior. there was only one episode in the entire season where chenford didn't interact, and nearly every episode had (even if they were minor) moments of meaningful interaction.
alexi himself said very plainly that he wanted chenford on equal footing before anything truly romantic could really happen with them. season 4 put them on equal footing in so many ways – and the show then doubled down on that when they kissed in the finale...so i don't really know how that shows a "lack of progression".
as for season 5: i assume you are talking about the return of chris and ashley. i have 0 speculation on this because we literally know nothing other than that the actors have been on set, but let me say this: having on screen breakups and follow through is a hell of a lot better than having them offscreen. i don't mind that either character is coming back...i would honestly prefer it that way.
i also highly doubt feds will tank – the rookie is a solid performer (even with a shit time slot) and niecy nash has a decent following, but idk man. i don't really have answers for you. a lot of this just sounds like you have been listening to speculative noise going around the fandom and not ingesting actual information. that, or just like...obsessing over the very very little information we have and letting the hiatus get to you. if you feel this strongly that everything is going to be awful, why bother? once the experience of watching the show and participating in the discourse doesn't feel fun anymore, it seems like a chore rather than a hobby.
anyway, tl;dr: i will be watching, chenford made huge strides in season 4, i'm excited to see what they do with season 5 (as well as feds!) and am hopeful that chenford will continue to progress – albeit, slower than others seem to think. they are a slow burn, after all...they have to keep heating up before they can boil.

Someone posted a pic of Niecy Nash and one of her daughters to show how alike they look, and someone commented that she has another daughter that looks just like her too, but nobody ever posts her, and it made me laugh because I had been thinking the same thing. Both her daughters look like she spit them out, but I only ever see “fans” post pics of her and the skinny one…

okay i was rushed and didnt read the rest hur seriously. 5, 7, 13, 24 & 29 :3
5.Favorite Dead Actor/Actress?
first thought was Robin Williams, he was a big part of my childhood and he's hilarious and clever and i had a fucked up sad little dream about him when he died. Britanny Murphy is really cool as well my favorite role of hers is actually on King of the Hill
7. Ever been/are you such a hardcore fan of an actor actress you watched/will watch any movie they were/will be in?
the only celebrities i've ever been interested in are musicians, i especially dont care about actors but i've been really excited to see Lady Gaga or Corey Taylor act. legit cant think of a professional actor i like.... Hunter Schafer's cute and i desperately want her to get the fuck out of Euphoria. Carol Kane's funny and beautiful, Cheryl Dunye is so smart cute and gorgeous, love Uma Thurman, Lucy Liu, Natasha Lyonne, Jodie Comer, Sandra Oh, Grace Jones (another musician), Whoopi Goldberg's cool, LOVE CHARLIZE THERON OHHHHHUGH. MJ Rodriguez, Sissy Spacek's amazing, Shelly Duvall, Toni Collette, Viola Davis, NIECY NASH, ok anyways
13. Your guilty pleasure movie(s)?
i feel guilty about nothing ever im an adult. (nobody should your life will be soooo much happier not caring about peoples judgements) if a nerd tried to make me feel shame for enjoying a movie i'd just tell him to die. Inglourious Basterds is exploitative Tarantino Trash but its one of my favorite movies ever
24. Movie that makes you cry every time?
I typically avoid movies like that so I honestly don't remember. I remember Pariah did when I saw it years ago. I've been planning to watch City Of God and Come & See someday, those will probably depress me for a long time
29. Movie you completely regret seeing?
so many fjjddjdj. hmmm End of Evangelion was extremely depressing gross bullshit for no reason. soooo many french movies. POALOF redeemed french cinema for me, not that i should be generalizing but i've had such a bad time with those lmao, i know theres so many great ones SO many but theres so many shallow bullshit exploitation films from France because there was a wave of that, and so many sexist homophobic ones that overlap. anyways i'd rather die than watch bitwc

hello! 20-25 for the pride asks
Hi Anon!
I don't know if you mean 20 through 25, or just 20 and 25. But regardless, I'm bored. So I'm just going to answer from 20-25.
Warning: this post got very long. And have a couple of gifs. My bad, lol!
20. Are you out of the closet IRL?
It's...complicated. The only people who know I'm bi/queer are my best friends and everyone who follows me on here.
21. Is your family supportive?
Well, I don't 100% know because my family either don't know I'm bi or they didn't believe me when I came out to them. I want to believe my family will accept me if they believed me. But if I'm honest with myself, most of them probably won't. My mom doesn't even believe bisexuality is a real sexuality. So yeah.
22. Favorite LGBT+ celebrity or historical figure?
I will easily say Janelle Monae, hands down. Note: I'm going to use she and they pronouns interchangeably since Janelle uses both.
She's just so apologetically herself, and I just admire them for it. Plus, I just love their music and creativity. I'm waiting ever so (im)patiently for their next concert.
23. Favorite LGBT+ couple IRL?
Hmm, I don't really have a favorite IRL LGBT couple. But if I had to pick a random one, I would say Niecy Nash and her wife Jessica Betts. They seem like they are deeply in love with each other, and I'm just happy when black women (regardless of how old they are) find love.
24. Favorite LGBT+ canon character?
Ah damn, I have so many! Most of course are animated characters. But I will pick one random LGBT canon character from a live action show too.
Live action show: Maya from Pretty Little Liars (even though Spoiler Alert...they freaking killed her off in season 1!)
I was going to pick Kat from The Bold Type since she is bi (like me), but I didn't finish watching the show. And I didn't hear too many great things about how the show went near the end of the series. So yeah.
Animated show: To avoid picking just one character from The Owl House, I will say Garnet from Steven Universe. SU was one of the first cartoon shows I seen with canon LGBT characters. And even though Garnet isn't human (she's a gem/alien), she is coded as black. So as a young black queer woman, seeing her just really made me feel proud, and just wish I seen a show like Steven Universe when I was a kid. Maybe I would had realized and accepted myself sooner.
25. Favorite LGBT+ canon fictional couple?
Live action show: Kat and Adena from The Bold Type. I don't know if they were endgame or not, but I will forever be a shipper of them. Seeing a woman of color character dating and in love with another woman of color just makes my heart soar!
Tumblr media
Animated show: Easily Lumity (Luz and Amity) from The Owl House. I haven't shipped a ship this much since Lapidot (Lapis and Peridot from Steven Universe). But lapidot didn't become canon (I think Peridot is ace/aro, I don't know what Lapis' sexuality is). Even though they started off as rivals, their relationship has grown into a beautiful and healthy thing, and they are just too damn precious for words! I can talk about them all night, but this post is too long now.

i think i win for weirdest because i had a thomas lennon phase, particularly his time on the very niche 90s sketch show the state and his character in 17 again 😭 to a lesser extent i liked his writing partner robert ben garant (who he created and wrote night at the museum with)
YES. I LOVED THOMAS LENNON. When I was really little, my dad would turn on Reno 911 around me and I lowkey fell in love with every single cast member?? Mostly Niecy Nash and Wendi McLendon-Covey. But tHEY HAD THE AUDACITY TO PUT THOMAS LENNON IN THOSE BOOTY SHORTS?? Yeah. I can feel you to an extent, anon.

I’m all for my people winning but I hate that Niecy Nash won that award from the dahmer series on Netflix and Evan peters ain’t slick either he’s fucked up for accepting that role too. I can go on & on on how fucked up the whole thing is I think personally if Netflix would have released the tapes before the show maybe people wouldn’t romanticize him so much but I was wrong people still romanticize Ted bundy and how he’s “so attractive & charming” fucked up people I had to turn off his documentary cause that’s all they kept saying mind you these were grown ass men and women. Overall the people romanticizing not only Evans when he’s playing dahmer in the show but also the real Jeffrey dahmer are sick period. Making edits and stuff like what’s wrong with you? It’s gotten so bad that the poor family victims are upset and trying to sue even when it first came out a majority of gay black men were all over Jeffrey dahmer like no! I even hate the little clip when in the show he’s at the tv and people on Tik tok would make edits like “me when my friend says they never listen to the beetles:” and that clip of evans playing dahmer he has a knife and on the bed is a black man A REAL LIFE VICTIM THAT ESCAPED and Jeffrey would make them watch satanic rituals before he killed them. I couldn’t even get past the first episode I honestly regret watching that much it has such a demonic vibe to it. But now we know why
YOU GET IT! I didn’t even watch the show cause it felt so disrespectful, especially since these things didn’t happen that long ago. The victims families didn’t even get any compensation for having their trauma broadcasted all over again.
